Natalie: You love Jen. If you don't do this, I'm going to tell her that you can walk.

Blair: You've had a little bit too much to drink.

Sam: Oh, no, I don't think I’ve had near enough.

Roxy: If this is a real sanatarium, how come you have a fake brochure?

Allison: Let's just say we had to raise the rates.

Rae: Tell me what the secret is.

Niki: It's about Natalie.

***********************************************

Blair: Come on, up on your feet, come on, Sam. Come on.

[Sam groans]

Blair: Oh!

Sam: Oh.

Blair: Oh!

Sam: Ooh. Have I told you how beautiful I think you are?

Blair: Only two or three times.

Sam: Well, let me tell you again.

***********************************************

R.J.: You got a lot of work there.

Keri: Grading papers. But I thought you had some big delivery at Capricorn you had to deal with.

R.J.: Yes. But I decided I'd rather come here and watch my daughter shine.

Keri: Oh, "shine." Is that what I’m doing?

R.J.: Always. And I hear that you are quite the professor.

Keri: Hmm, I try.

R.J.: Well, me, too. It's just that, you know, being here in Llanview, I hope you don't hear anything that'll shake your belief in me.

Keri: What's -- what's the matter?

R.J.: Oh, nothing. It's just -- just, you know, I have -- I have quite a past.

Keri: Yes, a past that you've put behind you, right?

R.J.: Yes, yes, absolutely. All of it. You know, I've been trying to find Nora. You wouldn't have any idea where she'd happen to be?

Keri: Sorry.

R.J.: Hmm. Well, how is she holding up? I've been worrying about her since I heard of Lindsay’s arrest and all.

Keri: Well, she's happy about that, but it's caused some problems with her and Sam. That's the difficulty she's having right now.

R.J.: Hmm. Did she hear anything about Lindsay’s confession?

Keri: Just that she's admitted to the kidnapping and the drugging.

R.J.: Wow. They have any idea where she got that drug?

Keri: Subject never came up.

R.J.: Hmm.

Keri: But, you know, I would like to know everything there is to know about this case.

R.J.: Why is that?

Keri: Because I would like to write about it for one of the journals -- what this Rappaport woman must be capable of.

R.J.'s voice: Look, I'm not the one who confessed on tape.

Lindsay: No, but you are the one who gave me the drug.

R.J.: Is that on tape?

Lindsay: What, you don't think I'd go to the police with that?

R.J.: Yeah. Lindsay is capable of almost anything.

Antonio: No one knows that better than you, do they, R.J.?

***********************************************

Natalie: Hey, what's wrong? You look really freaked.

Al: My mom knows that I can walk.

Natalie: What?

Natalie: Ok, how did she find out?

Al: I thought I was alone. I got up out of the chair. She came walking through the door.

Natalie: All right. Has she told anyone else? Does Jen know?

Al: No, not yet.

Natalie: All right.

Al: But, you know, I can't keep lying to Jen.

Natalie: Why not?

Al: Because that's not the way I want to start my marriage.

Natalie: Ok. All right. We'll plan a miracle recovery, yeah. With her love and the wedding and your physical therapy -- presto -- you can walk. And -- you'll be a little shaky at first, but then eventually --

Al: No! Natalie, I have to tell her the truth -- ok, everything -- that I’ve been lying the whole time.

Natalie: No!

***********************************************

Jessica: Roxanne, calm down. Come on. Tell me why you're so upset.

Roxy: Hey, honey, I can't do this over the phone. I got to see you. I don't know what's going to happen, but I can't do this anymore.

Jessica: Ok, I'm on my way, but don't do anything. Don't go anywhere until I get there, ok? You promise?

Roxy: I'll try.

Jessica: Promise.

Roxy: Ok, honey, I promise.

Jessica: Seth.

***********************************************

Rae: So what is it about Natalie that Viki’s afraid to know? Tell me, Niki!

[Niki laughs]

Niki: What a loser. You're a lousy shrink and you got a glass jaw. So long, sucker. See if the shrink's got any bucks. Cool!

***********************************************

Blair: Todd -- Todd, no! Todd! Stop, Todd! Don't! No!

Blair: Todd, stop it --

Todd: I'll kill you.

Blair: He's drunk! Todd, he's drunk!

Todd: I'm going to kill you.

Blair: He just lost Nora! Please --

Todd: You don't ever touch my wife again.

Blair: Todd, stop it! He doesn't know what he's doing, Todd!

Todd: You ever touch my wife again, and I’ll kill you.

Blair: Stop it!

Todd: Do you understand?

Blair: Stop, Todd!

Sam: Yeah. Whoo! I'm sorry. No excuses. I lost my head. I'm sorry.

Todd: Don't even bother apologizing to me. You apologize to her.

Sam: No, no, no, no, no, no.

Blair: It's all right, Sam.

Sam: No, you're right -- no, no, no, I -- I -- I'm sorry. I -- I owe you both an apology. I am sorry. I'm sorry.

Blair: There. Are you satisfied, huh? What were you doing? You could have killed him! What are you doing here anyway? Were you following me?

Todd: Maybe I should.

[Sam coughs]

Sam: Listen, nothing was going to happen, Todd. I swear nothing was going to happen.

Todd: It's not what it looked like to me.

Blair: What were you doing here, huh?

Todd: Get this -- I came here for legal advice. But now I'm going to go and call somebody that advertises on bus stops.

Sam: Oh, don't do that, Todd. Let me help you out.

Todd: No, no, that's ok, Sam, because you're not a lawyer. You're just worthless. You're a worthless drunk.

Blair: Oh --

Todd: All you ever do is hit on other guys' wives.

Blair: Don't! That's --

Todd: I should have seen this one coming. First, you hit on Bo’s wife and now you hit on mine?

Blair: That's enough, Todd.

Todd: You're worthless. Let's go.

***********************************************

R.J.: Did Lindsay say something about me? Because if she did, it's all --

Keri: What are you talking about?

R.J.: Well, there was a time when Officer Vega thought that Lindsay and I were somehow in cahoots with this whole Nora business.

Antonio: Yeah, but that was a -- a long time ago. There wasn't enough evidence to prove anything.

R.J.: Because it wasn't true.

Antonio: I guess so.

R.J.: Look, Nora used to be family. She is a friend. If someone tries to hurt her, they're my enemy. Look, I hope Lindsay gets what's coming to her.

Antonio: From what I hear, she may not even stand trial.

Keri: Why is that?

Antonio: Oh, she had some kind of psychotic break. They're moving her to St. Ann's to be evaluated.

R.J.: A psychotic break, huh? Sounds like that's that, then.

Antonio: Meaning?

R.J.: Well, karma, great wheel, she got what she deserved.

Antonio: Well, I don't know about that.

R.J.: Hmm. Well, anyway, it's someone else's problem. And I'm sure the last thing you two want is the old man hanging around.

Keri: That's not true.

R.J.: Well, if you see Nora, let her know that I was asking about her.

Keri: I will.

R.J.: See you later, Officer.

[R.J. Sighs]

R.J.: So Lindsay’s out of the way. One down, one to go.

***********************************************

Natalie: If you tell Jen the truth, you're going to lose her, Al. There's not going to be a marriage. She's going to go running right back into Cristian's arms, into his bed, before you're going to even get the words out.

Al: Well, you know what? That's a chance that I’m going to have to take, ok? I’ve got to come clean, Natalie, about the whole deal.

Natalie: The -- the whole -- even the stuff about Seth? What about me?

Al: What about you?

Natalie: If you tell Jen the truth, then how long do you think it's going to be before Seth figures out what we did to him? We're going to be right back where we started, Al. Do you really want that?

Al: Do you know what I want? I want a real marriage, not one that's based on lies, Natalie.

Natalie: Yeah, well, what you're going to get is no marriage. She won't even want to be your friend.

Al: Maybe so, but you know what? I -- it's a chance that I have to take. It's --

Natalie: Get real, Al, ok? You're going to lose Jen. Look, I know it's going to be a little tough at first, but all you got to do is hang in there just a little bit longer. We're this close. You will lose Jen, Al. I swear by it.

Al: What if she finds out on her own, Natalie?

Natalie: Not going to happen. Not unless your mom blabs.

Al: She won’t.

Natalie: Then we have nothing to worry about. Just keep your butt in that chair.

***********************************************

Jessica: This really isn't a good time.

Seth: You've been avoiding me ever since you heard that crazy story about me hitting on Chad’s sister.

Jessica: I've got to go.

Seth: I thought we had something, Jess.

Jessica: We did.

Seth: "Did"? So you believe Chad? You think I'm a thief and a liar?

Jessica: I just -- I wish there was someone that could prove you were at the library, Seth. I -- I just -- I don't understand why Chad’s sister would make that up. What would she get out of that? She doesn't even know any of us.

Seth: I've been thinking about that, too. Why would a total stranger lie about me dissing you and bragging about stealing the money?

Jessica: Roxanne's waiting for me. I really -- she needs me.

Seth: Just give me a minute, please?

Seth: Look, I agree with you -- there's no reason for Chad’s sister to have made that all up. So if she wasn't lying, she met somebody at Rodi’s pretending to be me. And I've got a pretty good idea who it might be.

***********************************************

Niki: You know, Dr. Cummings said to me just before she passed out that she forgot to take her medicine this morning and that it was in her house in her kitchen --

Orderly: Mm-hmm.

Niki: And I think I should probably go and get it.

Nun: Jim, we need your help.

Rae: Wait a minute. Don't let her go. Oh. Ow.

***********************************************

Blair: You were supposed to be following me. Where'd you go?

Todd: Had something I had to take care of.

Blair: You know, what's this cock-and-bull story about how you need Sam’s legal advice? You know, for weeks you've been telling me you didn't need his legal help.

Todd: That was before I got served with this.

Blair: What is this? Subpoena -- child endangerment? Are -- what, are they crazy?

Todd: They must be. They based the whole case on something they read in "The Sun."

Blair: What are you talking about?

Todd: Social worker says that we endangered Starr by letting her go out by herself at night, take a cab unsupervised. All the fun that she had at the fun house?

Blair: She snuck out! She lied to us!

Todd: Yeah, I know that.

Blair: Well, they can't do that, Todd! Todd, if they investigate our family, they could find out that Jack's adoption is illegal. I mean -- you're right. We do need Sam.

Todd: No. Not that drunk.

Blair: Well, we need somebody. We could lose Starr. We could lose Jack.

Todd: It's not going to happen.

Blair: We could lose both of our children, Todd.

Todd: No, look at me and listen to what I’m saying. It's not going to happen. It's over. I took care of everything. That's where I was on the way home.

Blair: Ok. What did you do?

***********************************************

[Door opens]

Matthew: There he is!

Sam: Hey, Tiger. Hi. Hi.

Matthew: Look what I made in school today.

Sam: Oh, it's beautiful. It's --

Marianne: It's a paperweight for your desk.

Sam: Of course it is. It's beautiful. Thank you.

Marianne: I hope we're not interrupting.

Sam: Never. Never, never. I am so glad you tracked me down. And I love my paperweight. Thank you, Matthew.

Matthew: Are you and Mommy coming to school today?

Marianne: Parents day.

Sam: Of course we are. Yeah, of course we are. We would never miss that.

Marianne: Matthew, we need to go home so Daddy can get back to work and so you can have your chocolate milk and cookies.

Matthew: Ok. Bye, Daddy.

Sam: Hey, bye, Tiger. I'll see you and I’ll see you soon.

Matthew: All right.

Sam: Ok? All right. Thanks for coming over.

Marianne: Bye, Mr. Rappaport.

Sam: Bye-bye. I love you, Tiger.

Matthew: Bye.

***********************************************

Keri: So, what brings you by? Did you run out of criminals to catch?

Antonio: Oh, yeah. No, in fact, Llanview now is completely crime free.

Keri: No kidding.

Antonio: Yeah.

Keri: You know, I heard that the police force is extremely talented.

Antonio: Hmm, and highly motivated.

Keri: Really?

Antonio: Yeah. Oh, yeah. No, I went out and rounded up every single crook in town just so that I could spend a little more time with a certain professor.

Keri: Hmm. But, you know, I teach crime -- if I’m the professor you're talking about.

Antonio: You know you are.

Keri: Well, so, then, if there are no more criminals in Llanview, I’m just going to have to go somewhere else and do my fieldwork.

Antonio: Oh -- well, in that case, I'm just going to have to arrange a -- a crime wave.

[Keri laughs]

Keri: Mm-hmm. So, why did you really come by?

Antonio: Do I have to have a reason?

Keri: Absolutely not.

Antonio: Well, I -- I do have a little surprise.

Keri: Oh, no.

Antonio: I bring you a present and you say, "oh, no"?

Keri: I just don't want you spending money on me.

Antonio: What makes you think I am?

Keri: The box. It's jewelry, right?

Antonio: Uh --

Keri: A watch -- not a watch. A bracelet?

Antonio: You sure?

***********************************************

Jessica: Somebody went to Rodi’s pretending to be you? Who?

Seth: Someone Allison hired. Someone she hired to look exactly like me, wearing the same jacket and scarf.

Katie: My name's Katie. What's your name?

Al: Seth. Seth Anderson.

Natalie: Oh. This is too close.

Al: Yeah, well, what are we going to do, Natalie?

Natalie: I'm going to go do damage control. You sneak out the back way whenever you get a chance, ok?

Jessica: I've really got to go, Seth.

Seth: Sorry I wasted your time.

Jessica: I really wish that I could believe you.

Seth: Me, too.

Jessica: Can I ask you a question?

Seth: Anything.

Jessica: Remember the benefit for the free clinic at the gallery? How did that Japanese carving wind up in your pocket?

Seth: You don't believe me about that anymore?

Jessica: I don't know. I don't know what to believe. Natalie, hi. I didn't know that you were here.

Natalie: I hope I’m not interrupting anything.

Jessica: No, you're not, but I've really got to go.

Natalie: I believe you, Seth.

***********************************************

Nun: How long have you been having these seizures?

Rae: Seizures? What seizures?

Nun: We need to know all about the medical conditions of our staff so that we can be prepared.

Rae: No one would be prepared for something like -- ouch -- this.

Niki: You have to let me go. You see, I didn't do anything wrong! No, no, no, I have a newspaper I have to run. My family is waiting for me! They are!

Rae: We need to finish a therapy session.

Niki: The hell we do!

Nun: Mrs. Davidson!

Niki: Oh, shut up.

Rae: Let her go.

Steve: Are you sure?

Niki: Will you let me go? Get out of here, scuzbags! Let's me go!

Nun: What is going on here?

Rae: We had a little snafu in our session.

Niki: "Snafu"?

Rae: Yeah, a little one. But I think we have everything under control now. Good. Thank you, Sister. Thank you.

Nun: You seem to have everything back under control.

Rae: Yes. Yes, yes, I'm fine, thank you.

Nun: We'll just stay outside.

Rae: I'd appreciate that. Thank you so much. Huh. Well, yeah. That was some sucker punch, huh?

Niki: Sucker for a sucker.

Rae: Well, you know, you're never going to catch me off guard like that again --

Niki: Yeah.

Rae: And I should probably warn you about something -- I've got a really mean left hook.

Niki: Oh, yeah? I'm so afraid, Doctor.

[Niki laughs]

Niki: You know what? You're lucky you didn't bring Tommy out. He wouldn't have just punched you. He'd have put your lights out permanently.

Rae: Yeah, right, right, right. Ok. You still haven't answered my question.

Niki: No wonder you ain't married. You're such a nag.

Rae: Tell me, Niki -- what is it about Natalie that Viki is afraid to know?

Niki: You ain't going to like it. And Viki sure as hell ain't going to like it.

***********************************************

Blair: How did you fix this so quickly? Oh. You didn't threaten the social worker, did you?

Todd: No.

Blair: Oh, thank God.

Todd: I bribed the judge.

Blair: What?

Todd: I bribed the judge. She's going to throw the case out of court.

Blair: Oh, God, Todd, how could you?

Todd: It was easy. It's family court. Judges are cheap.

Blair: What if -- what if the social worker -- she won't let it go? What if she wants to continue the investigation, huh, and more questions come up about Jack?

Todd: Then I’ll have to threaten her.

Blair: Todd, I don't like this. I don't like the threats. I don't like the bribing. I mean, this scares me.

Todd: Relax, will you? Whole thing's over -- without any help from slobbering Sam.

Blair: I don't want to lose our babies. Please, Todd, I -- I don't want anybody else to find out --

Todd: Blair --

Blair: About Jack's adoption being illegal.

Todd: It's not going to -- nobody's going to find out about any of it.

Blair: What else is there, Todd?

Todd: Nothing. No, it -- everything's going to be fine. We're in the clear.

Blair: You know, you can't even convince yourself of this.

Todd: Look, nobody's going to find out about anything. What else is there?

Blair: Ok, you know what? Let's -- let's -- let's call Sam. He's a great lawyer. He can fix this. I mean, just in case.

Todd: No. No Sam. From now on, we don't have anything to do with Sam and Sam doesn't have anything to do with us. End of discussion.

Blair: Oh, what is going on with you and Sam, Todd?

Todd: You tell me. You were the one who was rolling around on the couch with his --

Blair: Oh --

Todd: With his tongue rammed down your throat.

Blair: No, I -- he was drunk! You've been trying to keep me away from Sam for weeks now. Now, tell me, really, what's going on!

***********************************************

Antonio: I would tell you it's to my heart, but you've already got that one.

Keri: Then it must be to your apartment.

Antonio: You just made Detective. Oh, and -- and you're the only one with a copy, except for the super.

Keri: I seem to recall --

Antonio: I -- I took Mami's back so that there aren't any, you know, surprises at inopportune times.

Keri: Good. Because I have a small feeling that there will be many, many more inopportune times.

Antonio: Yeah? Well, I'm counting on it.

***********************************************

Shawna: What's the occasion?

R.J.: A nagging problem of mine just went away.

Shawna: Did you get Prof. Reynolds fired?

R.J.: Prof. Reynolds is not a problem.

Shawna: Then I’m confused.

R.J.: It's her location -- namely, that she's here in Llanview. But you are taking care of that, aren't you?

Shawna: Totally. She'll be sorry she ever gave me an F on that paper. My parents find out, they're going to flip. No more rent for my apartment. No more car. I'm going to have to move into the dorms with all those geeks and ride the bus.

R.J.: Not necessarily.

Shawna: Thanks.

R.J.: And there's plenty more where that came from. But you're going to have to work for it. The first step is pressing your charge against your professor.

Shawna: But if you don't have a problem with her and the rumors are true and she really is your daughter -- I know why I want to see her fired, but why would you want to mess up her career?

R.J.: This is about protecting Keri, not messing up her career.

Shawna: You want to run that by me again?

R.J.: No. Look, you will just have to take comfort in the cash.

Shawna: That's cool.

R.J.: Just keep doing what you're doing, and I promise you, you won't need Mommy and Daddy's money. And I will get to watch my worries melt away.

Shawna: Hmm. Sounds like we'll both be happy.

R.J.: Mm-hmm. You know what to do, right?

Shawna: Hmm. I'm looking forward to it.

***********************************************

Seth: How much did you hear?

Natalie: Enough to know that Jessica’s lost faith in you -- if she ever had any.

Seth: Can't say that I blame her. I mean, I know I’m innocent, but if I was in her shoes -- I mean, if somebody came to me with the story that I just spun about Allison getting somebody to pretend to be me -- sounds pretty wacko.

Natalie: Well, Allison’s done much worse. I mean, it's a little much for her to pull off, but then again she did have a pretty strong motive.

Seth: Getting even with me.

Natalie: You know what? And even if it's not Allison, I know it wasn't you, either, Seth. You're not a thief. You wouldn't have taken anything from Break Bar and you wouldn't have stolen anything from the gallery.

Seth: At least someone believes in me.

Natalie: I will always believe in you. And look -- I don't have an explanation about what happened with Chad’s sister, but I know you would never say those things.

Seth: Thanks.

Natalie: And I -- I don't -- I don't know what happened with the stuff at the Break Bar and I don't know how that sculpture got in your pocket, but I know you never, ever stole a thing. And I know that one day your name's going to be cleared. Just the sad part is Jessica’s already got you tried and convicted.

***********************************************

Todd: Sam's had a thing for you for a long time.

Blair: Oh --

Todd: I don't buy that this has anything to do with him being drunk or being upset that he was dumped by Nora. I mean, really, who would be upset about being dumped by Nora?

Blair: Hey, hey -- what about me here and trusting me? You really think that I would let something like that happen? Todd, I'm your wife, and I love only --

Todd: What were you doing in Sam’s house, Blair?

Blair: I told you already. I ran into Sam at The Palace right after you and Starr left. He was obviously very upset about losing Nora and he was way too drunk to drive, so I drove him home. That's it. And the kiss was absolutely nothing. You know, if I had a nickel for every bozo that hit up on me in a bar, I'd be rich.

Todd: What bozo? What bar? What are you talking about?

Blair: It doesn't matter. What I’m -- the point I'm trying to make here is when Sam wakes up and remembers what he's done, he's going to feel terrible.

Todd: Sam ever tries anything like this with you again --

Blair: Yeah, all right. Ok, where's Starr? Does she know anything about this child endangerment charge, huh?

Todd: She doesn't know all of it. She was too concerned about getting a facial. I dropped her off at Serenity Springs.

Blair: You left her at Serenity Springs by herself?

Todd: They have a staff.

Blair: Wh--

Todd: Fine. I'll go get her. I don't want her to have to take a cab home. Love you.

Blair: "Love you"? Oh, now, wait a minute. Hey, you never say, "I love you!"

***********************************************

Antonio: I forgot.

Keri: What?

Antonio: There's a card.

Keri: Oh.

Antonio: Drum roll, please. So, what do you say we go try out that key?

Keri: Oh, I can’t. I have a student coming by in a few minutes.

Antonio: Cancel it.

Keri: Oh, yeah. Would you cancel a stakeout?

Antonio: I might.

Keri: You would not.

Antonio: How long is it going to take?

Keri: Half-hour, tops. Oh, but then I have some papers I have to grade.

[Knock on door]

Shawna: Prof. Reynolds -- am I interrupting? You said 6:00.

Keri: No, you are right on time, Shawna. We'll finish this later.

Antonio: Bet on it.

Keri: Ok. Have a seat. I'll be right back.

Shawna: Mm-hmm.

Shawna: "Love, Antonio."

***********************************************

Roxy: It's her.

Allison: Put this on. And take this.

Roxy: Wait a sec. Wait. Wait.

Allison: I'll let myself out the back.

[Knock]

Roxy: All right. Coming.

Jessica: Roxanne?

Allison: Call me.

Roxy: All right. Just a second. I'm coming.

Jessica: Hey.

Roxy: Oh, Baby, I'm so glad you came.

Jessica: What's going on? What's wrong?

Roxy: Oh, I don't know. I just -- you know, I just got to tell you, my will power's shot, and it's either you or the cork 'n carry for a six-pack.

Jessica: No, well, you can't do that because drinking alcohol is the worst thing that you can do for your condition.

Roxy: I know. I know that. But no booze, no cigarettes, no junk food -- I don't think it's such a good idea for me to go cold turkey. My whole system is freaking.

Jessica: Well, it's -- it's going to get better.

Roxy: Yeah, if I can live through it.

Jessica: You will. Of course you can.

Roxy: I don't know. I don't think I can, you know. I mean, why bother, anyway, you know? I look in the mirror and I say, who cares about a sick old drunk, anyway?

Jessica: I care.

Roxy: You do? I mean, you barely know me.

Jessica: Which is why you have to get better -- so that we can get to know each other more.

Roxy: Honey, you really mean that?

Jessica: You're my mother.

Roxy: And I want to be a good mother. I want to be a better mother to you than I ever was to Natalie. I want the whole world to know it. But --

Jessica: Yeah? Yeah? But what?

Roxy: But, you know, I don't think I'm strong enough, and I don't think I can do it on my own. I need help. Honey, I need a lot, a lot of help.

Jessica: What kind of help?

Roxy: This kind.

***********************************************

Rae: Viki knows she's not going to like this, Niki.

Niki: You know, Doc, we're talking way past not liking it.

Rae: Don't you think she already knows it's bad? Otherwise she wouldn't have buried it in her subconscious.

Niki: Subconscious? That's me, right? Because I'm stronger than she is.

Rae: Oh, yes.

Niki: Let me figure this out. I tell you and you tell her, right?

Rae: Well, I don't think you should worry about what my part is in this.

Niki: Yeah, because you're such a good shrink.

Rae: Yeah, well, that's right, I am the shrink. That way, you see, you can both trust me.

Niki: You know what? Ok, I'm going to lay this pearl on you. I'm going to tell you. But you remember, Doc, it's Viki’s funeral. Because if you totally screw up and she freaks, I'm out for good! Yes!

[Niki laughs]

Rae: Tell me the secret. Oh, no, no --

Niki: Aw, keep your shirt on. I ain't going to hurt you. Ok, see, what I know that Viki don't know -- it's that Natalie --

Niki: And that's it, toots.

Rae: Well, that's pretty hard to believe.

Niki: Yep. Can't wait to hear you break the news to Viki.

Rae: Well, I'm afraid you won't be here for that.

Niki: Aw, now, come on, Doc.

Rae: Close your eyes.

Niki: Now, that's not fair. No. Come on.

Rae: I'm going to count backwards from 100 --

Niki: Doc, don't do this --

Rae: And I'm going to integrate you back into Viki again.

Niki: Come on! Come on, Doc!

Rae: 99, 98 --

Niki: Don't send me back. I got places to go --

[Rae claps twice]

Rae: 97, 96, 95, 94, 93, 92 -- bye-bye. Oh, thank God.

Sam: What are you doing here? How'd you get into my house?

Todd: You left the door open. Must have been drunk.

Sam: I'm not in the mood for this, Todd.

Todd: You stay away from my wife and you stay away from the adoption. They're dead to you. Or you'll be dead to everybody else. You got that?

***********************************************

Antonio: Yeah, ok, got it. All right, I got to -- I got to go meet up with Bo.

Keri: Ok.

Antonio: So I’ll see you later?

Keri: Mm-hmm. Maybe I'll use your present and surprise you.

Antonio: Oh, I couldn't think of a better one. See you.

Keri: Sorry to have kept you waiting.

Shawna: Hey, I’m just your student. Everybody knows how important your boyfriend is to you.

Keri: Ok, let's just stick to business, ok?

Shawna: Mm-hmm. That's why I’m here.

Keri: I gave you an extension for that paper. Did you finish it?

Shawna: Haven't even started. See, I’ve been too busy working on this.

Keri: "Complaint of unethical behavior." What is this?

***********************************************

Jessica: You're really serious about this?

Roxy: Yeah. I mean, I've been trying. I just can't do it on my own. I mean, look, I know if I don't stop, it's going to kill me, but --

Jessica: It's -- it's hard.

Roxy: Yeah, it's hard because, you know, I think of myself as a very strong and a very independent woman.

Jessica: Right. But, Roxanne, everybody needs help sometimes.

Roxy: Yeah. I know. When I was at the clinic, this nurse gave this to me, and, you know, I just couldn't admit that I just couldn't handle all this myself. But, you know, after reading this brochure about a hundred times, I really understand that I got to go for help. You know, what is that old expression? "The flesh is willing, but the spirit is weak"?

Jessica: Sort of. Anyway, this is -- this is good. This is good because acceptance is the first step.

Roxy: Yeah, I know that I can kick it, you know, and I really want to stay healthy. But I got to do it at a place like this. Look. Here. See what it says over here? They got individual and group counseling by top professionals. Strict round-the-clock supervision.

Jessica: "Greenhills Sanatorium also gives its guests the peace of mind that all rooms are secured during the night."

Roxy: Wait. What does that mean? They're going to lock me in?

Jessica: Do -- do you really think that you can deal with this?

Roxy: Oh, yeah. No, I know I can deal with it. You know, if it brings me closer to you, you know, I can deal with anything. Except --

Jessica: Except what?

Roxy: The cost -- it's a little out of my league.

Jessica: Yeah, I saw that. The rates are pretty high, huh?

Roxy: Yeah, and I called them up. I asked them if they take any charity cases, and they really got a good laugh out of that one. They told me that they had one place that was open and they would reserve it for me if I showed up with the scratch tomorrow. Look, Jess, I would never ask you this, but I don't know what other options I got. God, I don't want to die, but I can't do it on my own.

Jessica: Roxanne -- Roxanne, I’m going to get you the money, ok? Wait here, and I’ll get a cashier's check to you. I'll be back.

Roxy: Would you make it out to me?

Jessica: Why complicate things? I mean, I'll just write it out to Greenhills Sanatorium.

***********************************************

Natalie: I'm --

Seth: Never would have imagined Jess wouldn't believe me.

Natalie: Well, I'm sure she wants to, but she just can’t. She grew up with all this stuff. No matter how hard she tries, she will never be able to understand people who grew up like us.

Seth: She'll never get over this.

Natalie: Maybe with enough time.

Seth: Yeah, like the rest of my life? You know, maybe I made a big mistake with her. And with you.

***********************************************

Rae: Viki, I want you to wake up now. Viki, come on. Come back to me. Viki, open your eyes. Come on. Open. That's it. You are Viki?

Viki: Rae.

Rae: Oh, Viki.

Viki: Oh, yes, it's definitely me.

Rae: So, how do you feel honey?

Viki: I feel as if I’ve just woken from a deep sleep.

Rae: Ok, good.

Viki: Did it work?

Rae: Uh --

Viki: Did you talk to Niki?

Rae: Yes. Yes -- yes, I did.

Viki: What did she tell you? What is it that I'm so afraid to know?

>> On the next "One Life to Live " --

Natalie: So you think Jessica’s the wrong person for you?

Jessica: You weren't planning on using this money for something else?

Bo: I have a court order for an additional examination.

Viki: Well, what was it?

Rae: It has to do with Natalie.
