One Life to Live Transcript Thursday 3/14/02 By Suzanne
Lindsay: Help! Somebody, help! Oh, my God,
we're going to be crushed to death! Help! Help, somebody! Stop looking for
that tape and do something! Nora: Grab that rod. Lindsay: What rod? Nora: Rod -- that rod! Lindsay: Where? Nora: Just do it! Lindsay: Where? Nora: There!
******************************************************** Al: You mean it? You'll really think about
marrying me? Jen: Yes, I will. Al: Oh, God, Jen, you have just made me
the happiest guy in the entire planet. I mean -- I mean -- wow. Jen: I love seeing you so happy.
Al: If you think this is good, you wait
until I hear you say yes.
******************************************************** Rae: Oh, my God, Cristian, I am so sorry.
Cristian: No, no. Don't worry. It's my
fault.
******************************************************** Allison: Hey, Roxy, it's me. Yeah,
Allison. Who else? I don't care, I don't care. Just shut up and listen. I've
come up with this great way to use that hypoglycemia thing of yours to get our
hands on Jessica’s dough.
******************************************************** Seth: Allison. Allison: Oh -- later.
******************************************************** Viki: What are you doing here? Niki: I don't know. Ask yourself.
Viki: I am not playing games. Niki: Nah. You're too busy trying to
figure out how come you didn't notice when Allison Perkins dumped some strange
kid on you. Viki: Yes, I have. Niki: And you should be -- passing
yourself off as, like, the queen mother of mothers. Viki: All right, Niki, just go away.
Niki: What was it that skinny blonde said?
Oh, yeah. "Oh, Viki, you're just the best mother. Oh, Viki, you were always
the best mother." What a crock! I can't believe she came to you for advice
about her kid. Viki: I mean it. Go away! [Niki laughs] Niki: Can't do it. You know why? I was
invited. Viki: By whom? Niki: Hey, dummy, it's your dream.
Viki: I invited you? Niki: What, do you see someone else in the
room? You must've wanted me here, right? For something.
******************************************************** Sam: Both Lindsay and Nora were here,
weren't they? Troy: Yeah, it looks that way. Sam: But which one wound up with the tape?
I'm calling the police. That's where Nora would go if she had it. Troy: I don't think she got that far.
******************************************************** Nora: Ok. Lindsay: All right. Nora: Here. Help me. Lindsay: Ok. Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry --
Nora: Oh, God. Please, please. Please,
please. Lindsay: It's not stopping. It's not going
to stop! It stopped. It stopped. It stopped! Ok. All right. Nora: Ok. Let me see if I can get these
doors open. They're still locked. Lindsay: Help! Nora: They're locked. Lindsay: So, what do we do now? What --
what -- what, do we just wait for someone to come or what? [Lindsay and Nora scream] Lindsay: No! No! Nora: Help! Lindsay: Help! Lindsay and Nora: Help! Help!
******************************************************** Rae: Cristian, are you ok? Cristian: Yeah, yeah, I'm great. Couldn't
be better. Rae: You know what? I'm glad you're here.
You forgot to pick up that book that I wanted to loan you for that paper.
Cristian: Right. Rae: Come on, let me give it to you. Come
on. Come on. Jen, Al, are you here to see me? Al: Uh, we had class here before. Prof.
Reynolds? Rae: Oh, yes, of course you did. Um -- all
right. Here you go, all right? And you don't have to get it back in any hurry.
That's all right. Cristian: Right, right. Thanks.
Rae: All right. Well, I think I'll go grab
a cup of coffee before class begins. Ok? I'll see you guys later? Ok?
Jen: I don't really know how much that you
heard. Cristian: I heard enough. Congratulations.
Al: Hey, Cris, wait. Cristian: What? Al: I'd like to speak to you alone for a
moment. Jen: I don't really think that's a good
idea. Cristian: Yeah, neither do I. Al: It'll be just a minute. Please.
Jen: I'm just going to be at the union.
Al: Mm-hmm. Al: This must all be a bit of a surprise.
Pretty sudden, huh? Cristian: It's none of my business.
Al: Yeah. The question is, are you going
to be a problem?
******************************************************** Allison: Well, what do we have here?
Natalie's ex-boyfriend and Viki’s ex-daughter. Jessica: I'm still Viki’s daughter.
Allison: That's right. I heard about your
adoption. Congratulations. Jessica: Thanks. You know, the last I
heard, you had to be a student or a professor to use the computer here.
Allison: Oh, or someone doing research.
Seth: What research are you doing? How to
spend the money? Allison: What money? Seth: The $992 you stole when you bumped
into me at Break Bar. Allison: I don't need your money.
Jessica: It wasn't Seth’s money. It was
the Break Bar's money. He was taking it to the bank for a deposit. Allison: Excuse me. I don't need Break
Bar's money. Seth: I think you do, especially since you
didn't get any of Natalie’s money. Allison: You win some, you lose some.
Seth: Yes, but when you lose, you get
vindictive. Allison: Not anymore. I'm a changed woman.
Can't you tell? Seth: Since when? Allison: Oh, since I've been getting big
bucks to do research for this rich woman who's writing her memoirs. So rich
she makes the Buchanans look like kitchen help. Jessica: So rich she can't afford her own
computer? Allison: Ha, ha. I don't have to answer
your questions. Seth: Hey, I know you took that money.
Allison: A peasly grand? Please. I
wouldn't stoop so low. Seth: What is this, payback? You've had it
in for me ever since I bailed on your plan to steal money from Jessica and her
family. Allison: Don't flatter yourself.
Seth: You had to have taken that money. No
one else would have a reason to.
******************************************************** Natalie's voice: Right now, Al, we need to
focus on something else. Al: What's that? Natalie: Getting Seth in as much trouble
as we possibly can so that Jessica walks out on him and never looks back.
Max: Glad you're here. I want to ask you
about a little matter of $992. Natalie: Why me? Max: Because you've known Seth Anderson
longer than anyone I know. Is he a thief? Natalie: No way. But I heard about the
missing money. Max: Hmm. Word does travel fast. So, did
he do it? Natalie: No. No, he didn’t. He couldn't
have. Look, all that bad stuff that Seth did a long time ago -- he's totally
on the level now. Max: What kind of bad stuff? Natalie: He was a kid. Why can't anyone
just give him a break? Max: What kind of stuff? Natalie: It was nothing, ok? Why is it
that everyone in this town can't believe that a person can change? And how
come it is that every time something's missing, they think Seth took it?
Max: What, this happened before? I want to
know. I mean it. Natalie: Well, there was this little
sculpture thing. Max: What "little sculpture thing"?
Natalie: Ok. It was at the big benefit at
the gallery for the free clinic. Look, it was all a big mistake. I know he
didn't take anything. And, besides, it all blew over. Max: How do you know he didn't?
Natalie: Because he's my friend. And I'm
not saying anything more about it except that he would never, ever steal from
his employer. His job is way too important to him. Max: Is it? Natalie: Absolutely. Chad: Hey, Natalie? When you're through,
can I get a minute? Natalie: I'm done now, right? Max: I guess. Natalie: What's up? Chad: Are you free tonight? Natalie: Look, Chad, I've already told you
I can't date you. Chad: No, you won't date me, which is a
total crime if you ask me. But I'm not asking you out on a date. Natalie: You weren't? Chad: No. But whenever you come to your
senses, just let me know, ok? Natalie: Don't hold your breath, ok? It's
not going to happen, no offense. Chad: Well, I'm not going to hold my
breath, but I’m not going to stop hoping, either. Anyway, my little sister's
coming through Llanview on her way to California, ok, and she's thinking about
going to the university. So I was just wondering if maybe you could help me
show her around tonight -- you know, give her the female perspective on
things. Natalie: Sorry. I'm busy tonight.
Chad: Well, just so you know, Seth and
Jessica are really tight. Natalie: Well, we'll see how tight they
are.
******************************************************** Lindsay: Now what? Nora: We try again. Lindsay: With what? Nora: We try again. Lindsay: No, no, it's too small. Right
there, right there, right there, right there. Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry,
hurry. Nora: Got it braced? Lindsay: Yes Nora: Hold still. [Trash compactor stops] Lindsay: It stopped. Nora: It's not going to hold it for long,
though. We got to get out of here. Lindsay: What's that smell? Nora: What? Lindsay: That smell? What -- oh, God,
we're going to burn to death now? Nora: No, that's not a -- that's not a
fire smell. That's a -- that's an engine smell. The motor's shorting out or
maybe the locks or something. Here. Help me. Lindsay: Wait a minute. Wait, wait! The
lock works off the motor? Nora: Yes. Just help me. Try the door. See
if it opens. Lindsay: Ok. Nora: You get it? Lindsay: Yes! Yes! Nora: Ok. Lindsay: Yes, yes. Let's get out of here.
Nora: Ok, get out of there. Here.
Lindsay: Hurry. Nora: All right. That help? Lindsay: Yeah -- I got it. I got it, I got
it. Ouch.
******************************************************** Ben: Hey, Bo, what's up? Bo: Well, if you got a little time, I'd
like to talk to you about something. Ben: Sure. Bo: I've been getting calls from people at
the hospital, saying that Dr. Troy MacIver is AWOL. Ben: So is he officially missing now?
Bo: Well, nobody's filed a report or
anything, but I know you're working with him. So, has he said anything to you
that might indicate where he went or when he'll be back? Ben: As far as I know, he eloped to Paris
with Lindsay. Bo: Yeah. Well, they didn't quite get that
far -- at least Lindsay didn't. Ben: No kidding. No wedding? Bo: No wedding. Ben: Wow. I guess Troy woke up before the
big fall, huh? Bo: I guess you could say that.
Ben: You know, I'd like to consider myself
nonjudgmental, but Lindsay should join a nunnery or something. I mean, I don't
think marriage agrees with that woman. Bo: I don't think it does, either, but I
just don't see her being a nun. Ben: That's a good point. Well, at least
this time she's not trying to nail one of my brothers. Bo: That's a good point. Ben: I mean, you, Clint, Sam. Let her
infest another family for a while. Bo: So you haven't talked to Troy?
Ben: No, I haven’t. I look forward to
speaking with him. I mean, he really left me holding the bag at the free
clinic. Bo: Hmm. Practicing medicine again.
Ben: Yeah. Feels weird but it feels good,
and thanks to MacIver I'm swamped. And I got a feeling Viki could use me right
now. Bo: What, is Natalie still a handful?
Ben: Yeah, she -- well, she's less of one.
I mean, at least now she's trying. Bo: Well, that's good. Ben: Yeah, it is, because I've been
worried about Viki lately. I mean, she's been under a lot of stress. I mean,
not that she can't handle it.
******************************************************** Viki: Trust me, Niki; you are the last
person that I would ever want to see. [Niki laughs] Niki: Man, for a smart broad, you are so
dumb. Viki: All right, just -- just go away!
Niki: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah -- right. Viki: Get out now! Niki: You don't know anything. Viki: What does that mean? Jessica: You know what, Allison? You can
deny it all you want, but I know you're a liar. That's all you've done is lie
and cheat since you've gotten here. Allison: Are you talking about me or your
boyfriend? Seth: She's talking about you, Allison.
Allison: Is she? Let me see. Who's the one
who hated you and your family's money so much that he tried to burn down your
house? Seth: It's ancient history. Allison: And who's the one who pounced on
the plan to help Natalie get her millions just so he could get his share of
it? Seth: Who's the one that came up with it
in the first place? Allison: And who's the one who was dating
you and sleeping with Natalie just to get his hands on your fortune?
Seth: That's old news. Allison: All he's ever been interested in
is money. Seth: As opposed to you? Allison: My guess is if money is missing
from Break Bar, the person who's probably responsible for stealing is -- let
me see -- who had it last -- oh, Seth. Seth: Oh, come on, Allison! That's not
even funny! Jessica: Let's get out of here.
Seth: You're not going to get away with
this. Allison: Oh, yeah, right. Like I’m going
to steal a measly grand from Break Bar when I'm going to have Jessica’s
millions. Seth: She's setting me up. It's so
obvious! Jessica: I know. That's totally something
that she'd try to pull. But -- Seth: But what? Jessica: I just wish we had proof. I wish
we had proof that she took the money. Seth: Me, too. Jessica: Let's go.
******************************************************** Sam: This is Sam Rappaport. I want to
speak to Comm. Buchanan. All right, then put me on -- don't put me on hold.
What -- Guard: Hey! What's going on around here?
Troy: When's the last time you saw Lindsay
Rappaport? Guard: I'm asking the questions. Hey, put
the phone down. You, put the phone down now! All right, both of you, what are
you doing here? Sam: I am Lindsay Rappaport’s ex-husband,
Sam Rappaport, and this is her fiancé, Troy MacIver. Troy: Yeah, look, has Lindsay -- have you
seen her? Has she been here today? Guard: Nobody's been here but some lady
lawyer working on a case for Mrs. Rappaport. Sam: Nora. Troy: Let's go. Guard: Nobody's going anywhere. I'm going
to call the police. Sam: Oh, be my guest. Ask for Comm.
Buchanan. Tell him that Sam Rappaport and Troy MacIver are here. Guard: Oh, really? Sam: Yes. Guard: Let me see some I.D. Troy: Look, you're just wasting our time
here. Guard: Just let me see some I.D.
Troy: I have I.D. You want I.D.? It's
right here. Look, this place was like this when we got here. Guard: Yeah, I bet. Ok. Oh. Dr. MacIver
and Mr. Rappaport, I'm keeping these I.D.s. Just stay right here. I'm going to
get the police. Sam: I'll check out Nora’s place.
Troy: No, no, no. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
What is this? Do you recognize this? Sam: It's Nora’s. What the hell did
Lindsay do to her? Troy: Yeah, and what happened to that
tape? Lindsay: What are you doing? Nora: I'm just trying to get my footing.
Lindsay: You found the tape? Nora: Yes, I did. Yes, I did, and it's
going to go straight to Bo’s office. Lindsay: No, no, no, no, no, it's not.
Nora: Yes, it is. Game's over, Lindsay --
this time for real. Lindsay: What about Troy, Nora?
Nora: Where is he? Lindsay: Maybe we can make a deal.
Nora: Where is he? Tell me! Lindsay: I will. All you have to do is
give me the tape.
******************************************************** Cristian: Look, Al, Jen and I are history.
You know that better than anyone. Al: You know, she's not just with me
because of this chair, ok? She loves me. She said so. And, hopefully, with her
love and her help, very soon I'll be able to walk with her down the aisle.
Listen, she's moved on, Cris. Now, I know that you still have feelings for her
and I know that you've also been trying your damnedest to stay out of her way,
but why don't you do us all a really big favor and try a little harder.
Cristian: I'm living my life, Al, and Jen
is living hers. Al: That's right. But somehow you keep
finding ways to run into her. And now you guys are partners in Prof. Reynolds'
class. Cristian: Now, wait a minute. You think I
made that happen? Al: No, you didn't make it happen, but the
end result is the same, right? Cristian: I'm not trying to hurt Jen, if
that's what you mean. I would never hurt her. I can’t. Don't worry, man. I'll
stay out of your way. Al: Let's just hope that you do -- for
Jen’s sake.
******************************************************** Rae: Jen? Jen: Dr. Cummings. Hi. Rae: Hi. I think I walked into a very
tense situation back in the class, didn't I? Jen: Yeah, I guess so. Rae: You want to talk about it?
Jen: I don't know. Rae: You know what? Why don't I buy you a
cup of coffee? Jen: No. No, thanks. Rae: Sweetie, you've been able to confide
in me in the past. You know nothing's going to go any further than right here.
Jen: But what if it affects my grade?
Rae: You're probably one of the few people
in the class that it won't bother your grade. Jen: Al asked me to marry him. Rae: Is that a good thing? Jen: I'm not sure. Rae: Well, do you -- do you want to spend
the rest of your life with Al? Jen: Well, I've pretty much already
decided that. Rae: Sweetie, do you love him? Jen: He's -- he's a great guy. He's --
he's funny. He's thoughtful. He's -- he's always there for me and he really
loves me. Rae: Didn't answer my question, did you?
Jen: And, I am sure there are a lot of
reasons to get married, you know? I mean, just liking to do the same things,
wanting to be around each her, caring for each other. Those are all good
reasons. Rae: Yeah. Yeah, they are real good
reasons for finding somebody that you want to have a companionship with. But
when you want to get married, I think the only reason is love. Jen: But what if that's impossible?
******************************************************** Ben: I tell you, this family sure has come
a long way since Viki called you up to arrest Natalie for trespassing.
Bo: Sounds like it. Ben: Yeah. And there's even hope that she
and Jessica are going to start acting like sisters. Bo: That's great. You know, it's about
time that this family started acting like a family. Ben: It sure is. Speaking of that, looks
like Asa’s starting to come around. Bo: Well, if he is, my hat's off to Rae
Cummings. Ben: Man, I would love to be a fly on the
wall during one of their sessions. Bo: I would love it if you were able to
see him the way he was at one time. You know, that's the way I like to
remember him. Ben: You mean the father I never knew?
Bo: Yeah. [Phone rings] Bo: Excuse me a second. Buchanan. Yeah,
all right, all right. I'll be right there. Ok. Sorry. Got to run. Got a
situation developing. Would you say hi to Viki for me? Ben: Yeah. Yeah, I will. Bo: Ok. Ben: Thanks for stopping by. Bo: Thank you.
******************************************************** Viki: What don't I understand? [Niki laughs] Niki: Nothing. You don't understand
nothing. [Niki laughs] Viki: Will you stop laughing and answer
me? Niki: And you know what? You never will!
Viki: Oh. Oh, good, it's you. Ben: Hey. I'm sorry. Did I wake you?
Viki: No, no. No, I'm sorry. I think I
dozed off. Ben: Sounds like a pretty good idea. What
do you say we take it upstairs? Viki: Oh. Yeah. Ben: Ok, come on. Viki: Ben, no. I have to -- I have to go
to "The Banner" before the evening edition goes out. Ben: Oh. Ok. Just hurry back, all right?
Viki: I will, I will.
******************************************************** Max: Did you get the money back?
Seth: Not yet. But I will or I'll pay it
back out of my own pocket. Max: You better believe it. Jessica: I really don't think this is
fair, Max. Seth didn't take the money. Allison Perkins did. Max: Seth was responsible for the money.
That's why I’m docking half your paycheck until it's all paid back.
Seth: Half? But I've got bills.
Max: The only reason I haven't fired your
butt is that keeping you working is the only way I can guarantee getting my
money back. Seth: You'll get it back, every last cent.
Max: I know I will. Seth: I mean from the real thief.
Natalie: So I guess this means that you
didn't find Allison, huh? Seth: No, we found her. She just wouldn't
admit what she did. We didn't have any real proof -- not yet anyhow.
Natalie: Well, Allison’s pretty slippery.
Jessica: Seth, can I talk to you for a
minute? Seth: Sure. Natalie: Great. Here it comes -- she
starts to doubt him. Seth: No way, Jess. I'm not going to let
you. There's no way. Jessica: Why not? Seth: Because I'm not going to take money
from you. If I do, I’ll be just exactly like Allison said. Jessica: But you didn't take the money,
Seth. Seth: I know. But max is right. I was
responsible for it, and I'll get it back -- hopefully from Allison. But in the
meantime, I guess I won't be taking you out anywhere special for a while.
Jessica: Seth, anywhere you take me is
special. Come on. Don't you know that by now?
******************************************************** Nora: Where's Troy, Lindsay? Tell me.
Lindsay: I will just as soon as you give
me the tape. No? Going to go to the police? That's fine, too. You just better
hope that somebody gets to him and finds him before it's too late. Nora: Why? What's going to happen to him?
Lindsay: It's not going to be pretty.
Nora: Where is he? Tell me where he is.
Lindsay: You know the rules. Nora: Fine. You can have your stupid tape.
Troy MacIver’s life is worth far more than your stupid, lousy confession.
Lindsay: Put the tape in my hand and I’ll
tell you where he is. Troy: Nora, no! Don't do it! Nora: Oh, my God. You're ok. You're ok.
Lindsay: Sam.
******************************************************** Rae: I think you need to take your time
and I think you need to listen to your heart.
******************************************************** Viki: This is not the public library, you
know. Allison: What is it with your family? You
don't own this university or this town. I don't care how much money you have.
Actually, I do care, because a big chunk of your money is about to become
mine.
******************************************************** Rae: I want you to think about it, ok? And
you can call me anytime. Jen: Thank you. Rae: You know that, don't you? Jen: Thanks. Rae: Ok. Ok. Viki: Rae? Rae: Oh. Viki. Viki: Hi. Rae: What are you doing here? Viki: Well, the message on your answering
machine said that you were teaching tonight -- Rae: Right. Viki: So I thought I’d take a chance and
find you here. I -- I really need to talk to you -- professionally.
Rae: Of course. You want to do it here?
Viki: No, probably not. Rae: I know. Let's go to my classroom. You
want to? Viki: Yeah. Rae: Come on.
******************************************************** Chad: Seth -- for what it's worth, I don't
think you stole that money. Seth: Thanks. Chad: But I do think you're crazy. What's
with the getup, man? You know, it's almost springtime. Don't you think you
ought to lose the scarf and jacket? Seth: Forget it. I'm wearing the jacket
till I pay it off, which, with my salary getting docked, may not be until
July. Chad: Well, the overtime will help, right?
Seth: And the scarf may never come off.
Jess gave it to me. Chad: You got it bad, man. Seth: Definitely. Chad: I would take advantage of him if I
were you. You got him right where you want him. Jessica: I don't think so. And, hey, lay
off the jacket and scarf, all right? I love it. This is how I can tell it's
Seth from all the way across campus. Chad: She's got it bad, too. Seth: Hey, I got to go to the library.
I've barely started my economics paper that's due tomorrow. Jessica: Can I keep you company?
Seth: Are you kidding? I'd never get it
done. I'm just going to hide out in my little spot in the library and work all
night. Jessica: Well, can I at least walk you to
the library doors? I promise I will not bother you till after you hand in that
paper, ok? Seth: Ok. It's a deal. Natalie: So, about your sister and that
female perspective on L.U.? I'm available to join you guys tonight after all.
Chad: Really? Why? What happened?
Natalie: My plans changed.
******************************************************** Nora: Sam. Troy: What's the matter, Lindsay? You look
like you're surprised to see me. Lindsay: Yes, I am. After what you did to
me, I'm surprised that you can show your face anywhere near me. You should've
stayed in France or wherever it is you went. Sam: Stop it, Lindsay. I know where he
was. I'm the one who found him. Lindsay: I don't know what he told you,
Sam, but he's lying. He tricked me and manipulated me and used me --
Sam: I suppose he's the one who chained
himself to that wheel. Lindsay: Yes, he did at first. Troy: It's over, Lindsay. I have your
confession on tape. Lindsay: They've been seeing each other
behind your back, Sam, for months. She deceived you like he deceived me. They
deserve each other. Troy's voice: And you were the one that
gave Nora the drug that wiped out her memory. Lindsay's voice: Yes, and I let Colin take
the blame for that, too.
******************************************************** Cristian: Hi. Woman: Hi. Cristian: Can I buy you a cup of coffee?
Woman: Me? Cristian: Yeah, that's the general idea.
Woman: Sure. I'd love to. Cristian: Ok, great. So why don't you take
a seat and I'll get the coffee? Woman: Ok. Cristian: So, how do you take it?
Woman: Light with two sugars. Cristian: Ok. Woman: I didn't think you even knew who I
was. Cristian: Well, we got a class together --
art history. And I notice that you always sit on that seat right by the door.
Woman: And you always seem to know as much
as the teacher. I can't tell one Madonna and child from the next, but you not
only know the names of the artists, you talk about how they mix their paint
and their style of brush strokes and -- hello? Cristian: I'm sorry. What were you saying?
Woman: That you know a lot about art.
Cristian: Well, yeah. Well, I used to be
an artist. Woman: Cool. Think maybe you'd like to
paint me one day?
******************************************************** Max: A regular Michael Schumacher in that
thing. Al: Yeah. You know, it's the greatest
upper-body workout I’ve ever had. I'm thinking of ways I could market an
exercise video around this thing, you know? Max: Great idea. But I'd rather you saw
that specialist instead. Al: Well, you know, I -- I might not have
to do that at all. Max: What do you mean? Al: I asked Jen to marry me. And if she
says yes, well, that'd probably be the best medicine a guy could get.
Max: It's kind of sudden. Al: Yeah, well, like father, like son.
Max: is that what you want? Al: Positive. I mean, I would do anything
for Jen. Anything at all. Ex -- Max: Except what? Al: Nothing. I -- I was wondering if I
could ask you a favor, Dad. Max: Sure, name it. Al: Well, when I asked Jen to marry me, it
was kind of spur of the moment, really sudden, you know, and I hadn't bought a
ring. And I was wondering -- you know, it's way too huge. I can't ask you
this. Max: Come on. Let me be the judge of that.
Al: Well, I know that you have the ring
that Grandpa Wingate gave to Grandma Patricia, and I was wondering if I could
have it. Max: Well, she left it to me, hoping that
one day one of her grandchildren would use it. Just wasn't expecting it to be
so soon. But you're sure? Al: I've never been more sure of anything
in my entire life, Dad. Max: It's all yours. Al: Thanks a lot. Max: Hey, congratulations. Al: Thanks, Dad. See you later.
******************************************************** Natalie: Hey. There's good news and
there's bad news. Al: Not now, Natalie. Natalie: The good news is is that no one
suspects you of stealing Max's money. The bad news is Jessica still thinks
Allison Perkins did it. She thinks Seth is an innocent victim of this
circumstance. So we've got to come up with a way to make her -- Al: Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh. What's this "we"?
There is no "we," ok? I'm out of this. Done. Natalie: Hmm. Well, I heard you asked Jen
to marry you. Congratulations. Al: Thanks. Natalie: But she hasn't said "I do," yet,
has she? And how fast do you think she'll say "I don't" when she finds out
that you've been scamming her and that you can walk, hmm? Al: I want nothing to do with your little
schemes, Natalie. Natalie: Help me with this one last thing
and I promise -- I promise I'll help make Jen say yes. Al: What, Natalie? What do you want me to
do this time? Natalie: Steal Seth’s coat and his scarf.
Al: Why? Natalie: Because you're going to be Seth.
******************************************************** Rae: Ok. Talk to me, friend. Viki: I've been seeing Niki Smith.
Rae: Whoa. What do you mean, "seeing"?
Viki: Well, not -- you know, dreaming
about her and imagining her. Rae: Honey, come on. You've been under a
lot of stress. Viki: Oh, but that -- but I always have
stress. I run a paper, you know. Rae: Yeah, but that's business stress. I'm
talking about personal stress. You know, this whole thing with Natalie and
Jessica. Viki: Ok, that makes sense. Problem is
things have been much, much better with Natalie and Jessica. In fact, the
better things get, the more Niki comes into my -- my mind and in my dreams.
Rae: In what ways? Can you tell me?
Viki: Yes, ok. A little while ago I was at
home. I fell asleep on the sofa, and I had a dream about Niki saying I didn't
understand something. I mean, what is it? What is she talking about?
Rae: Ok. Let's talk about it, all right?
You have any idea at all what she might be referring to? Viki: No. Not a clue. I mean, the only
person who would have any answer to that -- Rae: Is Niki.
******************************************************** Lindsay: I know how it sounds, Sam, but he
lured me into that fun house. And he locked me in here and he forced me to say
the things I said on that tape. I know I’ve done a lot of bad things in my
life, but you know I would never do anything like that. Sam: The tape doesn't lie, Lindsay. You
did it. You helped Colin kidnap Nora. You gave her that drug that destroyed
her memory and almost destroyed her life. You took her away from me and
Matthew. Lindsay: Sam -- Sam: You did it all. Just admit it.
Bo: Lindsay Rappaport, you are under
arrest. >> Stay tuned for scenes from the next
"One Life to Live."
******************************************************** >> On the next "One Life to Live" --
Natalie: This is the last time, and it'll
work. Seth: This isn't going to work.
Jen: He's going to be able to walk again,
I know it. Cristian: What if he doesn't? Are you
going to marry him? Lindsay: You've been dreaming about this
for a long time, haven't you?
