>> Previously on "One Life To Live" --

Gabrielle: If you'd read on a little bit longer, you would discover that little Jack is the biological child of Blair's.

Starr: I'm twice as adorable as you'll ever be.

Al: If I got up and started walking tomorrow, she'd run right back to Cristian.

Troy: I got your confession on tape, and I'm never going to tell you where it is.

************************************************

Lindsay: No!  No!

Cristian: What are you doing here, Mrs. Rappaport?

Lindsay: What are you doing here?

Cristian: Well, I heard noises coming from here. And I knew that Dr. MacIver was out of town, so I asked the super to give me the keys. What happened?

Lindsay: Who are you calling?

Cristian: The police.

Lindsay: Don't do that.

Cristian: Why not?

************************************************

Starr: Dad? Dad? Dad?

Hedy: Your daddy went to the paper, Starr.

Starr: What about Mommy?

Hedy: Your mommy went with your daddy.

Starr: And what about Jack? Like I don't know.

Hedy: Well, he went with them also --

Starr: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. He always gets to go everywhere with them. It's, like, so unfair. I bet they're having a lot of fun.

************************************************

Blair: Now, are you purposely putting off contacting Jack's birth mother for her medical records?

Todd: No.

Blair: "No"? Why do I get the feeling that maybe you are?

Todd: I don't know. Paranoia?

Gabrielle: Hey, Todd, I think Blair asked a perfectly good question. Why don't you want to know everything about little baby Jack? I would want to know everything about my son.

Todd: Get out.

Gabrielle: You're not being very hospitable this afternoon.

Todd: You can tell? This is my newspaper and this is my office, and I'm having a private conversation with Blair.

Gabrielle: But we don't have any secrets, the three of us. I know all about little Jack.

Blair: Oh, how can we forget? The only reason some talentless, money-grubbing witch like you has a job is because you know all about our son's legal problems.

Gabrielle: Ooh. But, Blair, your little baby -- very sweet little baby -- doesn't have any legal problems, do you? No, you don't. No, when the authorities find out about the little mess that went on when you adopted, then you and Todd will have the troubles.

Blair: And don't you just love holding that over our heads.

Gabrielle: Oh, it's a living.

Blair: No, it's jealousy.

Gabrielle: Jealousy? Of you?

Blair: Of the love that I share -- that we share for this baby. You know, little Jack here might not have our blood, but he has our hearts. And your son -- he can't even stand to be in the same room as you.

Gabrielle: All right. I think you've gone too far, my dear. You've pushed me into giving you this.

************************************************

Natalie: Al, this is wonderful!

Al: No, it's -- it's not -- it's not what it looks like.

Natalie: Ok. Well, I'll take what I see here, and -- you -- you're walking!

Al: No, I -- I -- I pushed myself up. I used my -- my arms, mostly.

Natalie: Yeah, but -- but you're still standing on your feet.

Al: Yeah, barely.

Natalie: Well, your wheelchair is not right next to you, so that means you at least had to have taken a step.

Al: Yeah -- one. Just, you know, one step.

Natalie: Al, one step -- you take one step now, you take 10 tomorrow, and a million -- I mean, do you know what this means?

************************************************

[Troy struggles]

Troy: Almost. Don't give up, Troy. I don't care how much it hurts. Don't give up! You got to get to that tape before Lindsay finds it. You got to get out of here. Nora's finally going to hear the truth about what Lindsay did.

[Troy struggles]

Troy: Get out of here!

************************************************

Cristian: Well, you must've scared him off.

Lindsay: Who?

Cristian: Well, whoever did this. But we still have to call the police. Did you notice if anything was missing? What are you doing?

Lindsay: Um -- there wasn't any burglary. I -- I did it.

Cristian: You did this?

Lindsay: Yes, I did.

Cristian: Why?

Lindsay: Because I was looking for something.

Cristian: Well, it must have been pretty important for you to trash your boyfriend's place just looking for it.

Lindsay: He was my fiancé. He's my fiancé, and, yes, it was very important.

Cristian: Ok, so what is it? What were you looking for?

************************************************

Max: Jen.

Jen: Mr. Holden, hi.

Max: I'm glad I ran into you. I promised Al I wouldn't bother him today. I think maybe he's feeling I'm crowding him a little, and maybe he's right.

Jen: No, he's really happy that you guys are getting close.

Max: Yeah, well, maybe. But even in that department, you can get too much of a good thing, you know? Listen, I still want to know, how is he doing?

Jen: Good. Real good.

Max: Are you sure about that? Because, you know, sometimes I get the feeling that maybe he's putting on a brave front for me.

Jen: He's making a lot of progress. We were at a party earlier, and he was just doing everything by himself.

Max: By himself?

Jen: Well, in his wheelchair. But he's really learning how to use it, and -- before long, he's going to be able to do everything he did before.

Max: Yeah, except walk.

Jen: Well, yeah. But what I'm saying is that he's getting back his independence.

Max: He still needs you, Jen. Whatever progress Al has made he's made because you're in his life.

Jen: That's why I'm here. I'm going to be here as long as he needs me.

Max: Good. Because Al's counting on you. In the meantime, I was glad to hear he got some good news. He certainly deserves it.

Jen: What good news?

************************************************

Al: You know -- I -- I actually feel like I might fall down any second. Could you -- could you get my chair? Thank you.

Natalie: Sure.

Al: Ow. Oh. That was so stupid. What was I thinking? You know, what if you hadn't come in?

Natalie: Maybe you would have taken one step back.

Al: No. No, it was a -- it was a fluke, you know?

Natalie: Al --

Al: A one-time thing.

Natalie: No, Al. I mean, I know you don't want to get your hopes up or anything, but this is -- this is great news. You -- this -- this isn't a fluke. You walked. I saw that.

Al: You know, whatever it is -- it's my problem.

Natalie: No, no, no, no, no. This is great. This is absolutely great. I am so happy for you.

Al: Yeah. It's swell.

Natalie: Ok. I don't -- I don't understand what -- how you're taking this. Are you in shock or something? Look, Jen's up at the main house, and I know she can help you face this, so I'm going to go get her.

Al: No! Don't bother Jen.

************************************************

Hedy: Jack is just a little baby, Starr. He needs his mama all the time. But you -- you are a big girl.

Starr: But he gets everything and I get nothing. That's not fair.

Hedy: Oh, Starr, you know that's not true.

Starr: But I've been around here longer. I should get more.

Hedy: Oh.

Starr: They'll notice me. I'll make them notice me -- or else.

************************************************

Blair: Todd.

Todd: You don't need to see this.

Blair: Well, what is it?

Todd: It doesn't matter what it is. It's just something that she's -- she's just trying to tick you off, Blair, and you can't let her.

Gabrielle: Go on, Todd, rip it into a thousand pieces. Don't worry. I have many more where those came from. So many, in fact, that I could paper my office. Perhaps I'll do that.

Blair: You know what? She was giving it to me. That means it is mine.

Todd: No, I'm stronger. That means that it's mine.

Blair: Just --

Gabrielle: Oh, children, is this any way to play?

Blair: She's laughing at us, Honey.

Todd: Yeah, well, why don't you go away, and then she won't know that she -- that you're -- that she's laughing at you.

Blair: Well, you know what? I am going away.

Todd: I can explain. It's --

Blair: Oh, no.

Todd: What the hell is this?

Gabrielle: Oh, well, our photographer took some candid shots at the opening of Capricorn. Do you like it?

Todd: No, I -- that photographer is fired.

Gabrielle: Oh. Well, I was considering using that for our piece on Llanview's nightlife.

Blair: Yeah? Well, I'm considering ripping your hair out.

Gabrielle: It's not in good form to threaten your blackmailer. Uh-uh. Not wise at all.

Blair: Well, you know what? I'll just be, like, stupid, and you'll be, like, dead.

Gabrielle: I'm sorry. I'd love to stay and chat, but I have to keep running to keep my girlish physique. Bye.

Todd: All right, look. You know, as long as this is my newspaper, you don't need to worry about seeing --

Blair: It's not your newspaper. It's never going to be your newspaper as long as she is working here, threatening us.

Todd: You don't need to worry. I've figured out how to take care of that.

Blair: Uh-huh? How.

Todd: Well, you'll find out soon. And so will Gabrielle -- as soon as I give her her next assignment.

************************************************

Lindsay: Actually, I was looking for something of Troy's, and it was very important. The tape is the problem. If I could find and destroy the tape, that -- that's my only choice.

Cristian: You know what? I don't get it. Weren't you supposed to be in Europe by now?

Lindsay: Yes, yes. But our plane was late, and that -- that was a good thing because when we got to the airport, Troy couldn't find his passport. And -- that's what I was looking for here.

Cristian: Hmm. Let me guess. You didn't find it.

Lindsay: No, I didn't.

Cristian: Wouldn't it have made more sense for Troy to look for his own passport?

Lindsay: Troy is tied up at the moment.

************************************************

Troy: If you are what I think you are, I'm a dead man.

************************************************

Starr: When Jack's hungry, Mom comes running. When Jack cries, Mom comes running. If it works for him --

************************************************

Blair: What do you mean, you have a plan for Gabrielle?

Todd: Well, you could call it a promotion.

Blair: You're giving her a promotion?

Todd: No, but you could call it a promotion.

Blair: Come on, Todd. I don't understand why --

[Phone rings]

Blair: It's mine. It's from home. I hope everything's all right. Hedy, is that you?

Starr: Mommy, it's me.

Blair: Starr? What's wrong, Sweetie? You sound --

Starr: I need you, Mommy!

Blair: Sweetie, just put Hedy on, ok?

Starr: Mommy, please, just come home!

[Starr hangs up]

Blair: Starr? She -- I guess I'd best get going. She's -- she needs me -- Starr.

Todd: Some kind of big trouble?

Blair: Well, obviously it must not be. Otherwise, Hedy would have called. But would you do me a favor and please check into those medical records of Nellie's?

Todd: Yeah.

Blair: Thanks.

Todd: Right.

Blair: See you at home.

************************************************

Todd: Uh-huh.

Todd: Yeah, hi. I need a -- a copy of Blair Manning's medical records sent to -- well, of course this isn't Blair Manning. This is her husband, Todd Manning. Well, then I'll put her on. Hold on.

[Feminine voice] hi, this is Blair Manning call--

[Normal voice] Well, yeah, it is. So what? What do you mean -- what kind of dumb rule is that?

Gabrielle: Cute. Very cute.

Todd: Well, thank you. I think this suit is very slimming.

Gabrielle: Todd, I was talking about you trying to get Blair's medical records and use them as Jack's birth mother's records.

Todd: Well, why shouldn't I get them? Blair is the mother. Those are her records.

Gabrielle: Yeah, and then she's going to find out. She'll know what you've been up to.

Todd: Well, then, I'll make it so that she doesn't find out.

Gabrielle: Of course, that is totally up to you, Todd.

Todd: I got an assignment for you.

Gabrielle: Oh?

Todd: Yeah. It's a big fashion thing, and -- well, this is hard for to say, but I really can't see anybody else in the whole world doing it but you.

Gabrielle: Todd, your support -- it's very gratifying. Thank you. I'm sure you won't be let down.

Todd: Better not be. This is everything you need to know.

Gabrielle: Oh, what is this?

Todd: What does it look like?

Gabrielle: This is an airline ticket to Australia -- one way.

Todd: That's right. Say hello to Nicole Kidman for me.

************************************************

Lindsay: I have to get back to Troy -- at the airport, I mean.

Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, right.

Lindsay: If we hurry, we can still catch that plane.

Cristian: Wait a minute. Without the passport?

Lindsay: Oh. I -- I didn't tell you, did I? He called right before you got here, and he said that he found his passport in a piece of his luggage. So I tore this place up for nothing. Is there something wrong?

Cristian: Mrs. Rappaport -- hey, look, I know you never had much use for me.

Lindsay: Well, you haven't really been a fan of mine, either.

Cristian: Right. That's right. But I have to ask, are you all right?

Lindsay: Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Of course I'm all right. I'm just -- I'm tired. It's my wedding day. Why wouldn't I be all right?

Cristian: Well, I don't know. You just seem a little jittery, nervous about something.

Lindsay: Well, I have a husband-to-be and a plane to Paris waiting for me at the airport, and I just wasted a half an hour of my time running around looking for something that's not even here. So -- excuse me, but I have a future to catch.

Cristian: Have a good one.

Lindsay: I need to ask you a favor, Cristian.

************************************************

Natalie: Ok, this is just a little too weird to me. You stood, and then you walked. Yeah, I mean, that could -- that could probably shake you up just a little bit, but I don't understand why you don't want me to tell Jen the good news.

Al: Well -- I wanted to go and get checked out by a doctor first. You know? Make sure that I know exactly what's going on, you know?

Natalie: What's going on is you're recovering.

Al: Well, maybe I am, and maybe I'm not. I mean, I -- I wobbled a couple of inches. I didn't run the marathon.

Natalie: No, no. You did something much, much bigger than that. You know -- yeah, you may have a long road ahead of you, Al, but you took your first step. That is so cool. And there is no way Jen wouldn't be thrilled for you.

Al: I don't want you to tell Jen anything. Do you understand?

Natalie: Yeah, yeah. I should have realized you -- you probably want to tell Jen yourself, right?

************************************************

Jen: Al never said anything to me about any good news.

Max: Well, Al does tend to downplay things. He must have mentioned something about some sort of honor at school.

Jen: Really? That is so great.

Max: You don't know?

Jen: No, he never said anything to me about it.

Max: Wow, that's -- wow, that's a switch, isn't it? I mean, he usually tells you everything first. Oh, no. Oh, boy. He was probably planning to tell you as a surprise, and I just let the cat out of the bag. I'm sorry.

Jen: No matter how I found out, it's such good news. He's been working so hard to try to catch up on the work he missed while he was in the hospital, and now this. I'm so happy for him.

Max: I can tell. You know, Jen, I -- a little while back, I warned you not to break Al's heart. Well, actually, it was more of a threat than a warning.

Jen: You were worried about your son.

Max: Even so, I was way out of line. I can see that it was unnecessary, that you -- well, you care about Al's feelings as much as I do.

Jen: Al's a good guy. He doesn't deserve this. And I'll do whatever I can to help him.

Max: It's already working. I mean, just look at the honor he's getting from school.

Jen: Al deserves all the credit for that. He has all kinds of dreams. He's still planning on walking again.

Max: Yeah. Well, we both know how much chance he has of that, even with your help. But for all the help you've given already, thank you. Thank you. You're a -- you're a special person, and not just to Al.

Jen: Thank you.

Max: And I'm looking forward to getting to know you better -- which I'm sure I'll get the chance, since you and I both will be a big part of Al's life from now on. Well, I shouldn't keep you. You need to get in and get your surprise.

************************************************

Natalie: Even if it's just one step, Al, that's -- it's a really big deal. I mean, Jen -- she's going to be so happy for you, I know.

************************************************

Jen: What are you doing here?

Cristian: I followed you from the quarry.

Jen: Cristian, please don't do this.

Cristian: I can't let you go, Jen. I love you. I don't know how or I don't know when, but we will get back together.

Jen: I hope so. It's what I want more than anything in the whole world. But it's not going to happen anytime soon. As long as Al can't walk, I have to be with him.

************************************************

Al: Yeah. She's going to be real happy.

Jen: Hey, Al. Natalie. Am I interrupting something?

Natalie: No. Your timing is perfect. Al, why don't you go ahead and tell her the big news?

************************************************

Gabrielle: Now, why would you want to send me to Australia?

Todd: I've created a new position for you, Gabrielle. It's called roving fashion editor.

Gabrielle: In Australia?

Todd: Sure. Anyone can cover Paris, but you -- you go to Australia, you have the whole continent all to yourself. Plus, you talk funny, so you'll fit right in.

Gabrielle: No doubt. But you know what? I'm not interested. No, thank you. I don't need a position down under.

Todd: That's not what I heard.

Gabrielle: Do you think I'm an idiot, hmm? I am very well aware of your nasty little habit of sending people on one-way trips. I am very happy in Llanview and I have no intention of leaving it. So let's stop all these silly games. We have work to do.

Todd: "We"?

Gabrielle: Yes, darling -- "we." The style section?

Todd: I don't have time for your style section.

Gabrielle: Oh, I think you do. I talked to your secretary. I told her that you wanted to brainstorm with me all afternoon on the style section, so she cleared your calendar.

Todd: Thank you.

Gabrielle: You're welcome. Now, these are my ideas. I think that we need a best-dressed and a worst-dressed. We'll put the best-dressed on one page and then the worst-dressed on the other page because, after all, the best thing about fashion is, you know, making fun of those who are unfashionable.

Todd: Right.

Gabrielle: So this is my choice for best-dressed. What do you think?

Todd: How long did it take for you to think of that?

Gabrielle: If you don't toot your own horn, who else will?

Todd: Nobody who knows you.

Gabrielle: This is my choice for worst.

Todd: Are you kidding?

Gabrielle: It's my opinion.

Todd: I don't disagree with you, but look -- you're the one who hates Renée. She never did anything to me. And this is my newspaper. You know what? Get out of here and go get yourself a life!

Gabrielle: I have a life, thank you. I've got this job and I've got my son --

Todd: You don't have a job, Gabrielle. You have a cover for your blackmail.

Gabrielle: And I have my son.

Todd: Your son lives at my sister Viki's house! That's how much he wants to hang out with you!

Gabrielle: Well, my son is a little preoccupied at the moment to spend time with me. That's because he has a little friend -- Jen. But that'll change. Anyway, in the meantime, my life is very full and rich, and I'd like to get back to it.

Todd: Sounds like a great idea!  If you got your own life, Gabrielle, you'd stop being so worried about mine. Oh, green ones.

[Knock on door]

Todd: Hello, Max.

************************************************

Jen: Well, what's this about?

Natalie: Al's got a surprise for you --

Al: Natalie.

Jen: It's ok. I think your dad already let it out. It's about the school honor, right?

Al: Yeah. Yeah, that's it.

Jen: Well, what'd you do, make the dean's list?

Al: Oh, you know, it's -- it's really not that big a deal. I -- I submitted a paper and it's being published in a journal -- I don't know which journal. Some journal.

Jen: That's great.

Natalie: If you think that's big, wait till --

Al: Jen -- I have this prescription and -- and I haven't gotten it filled. Would you mind terribly?

Jen: No, not at all. Not at all. I'll take it right now.

Al: Thanks.

Jen: Oh, Natalie, your stuff -- it's in the hall closet.

Natalie: Thanks. Why didn't you tell Jen that you can walk?

Al: Well, maybe I wanted to do it without an audience.

Natalie: Yeah, or maybe you didn't want to do it at all. Is that the problem, Al?

************************************************

Cristian: You want me to do something -- for you?

Lindsay: Well, actually, it's something I don't want you to do. It's -- it's more for Jen's sake than mine.

Cristian: Go on.

Lindsay: I would appreciate it if you didn't tell her that you saw me here.

Cristian: Why not?

Lindsay: Well, because Jen said her good-byes to me yesterday and, as far as she knows, I'm in Paris now and everything's all right.

Cristian: Well, everything is all right, isn't it?

Lindsay: Yes, of course it is, other than this passport fiasco. And now that that's been resolved, I don't really see the need to bother her with it. She already thinks that this wedding's made me act a little bit strange.

Cristian: Now, why would she think that?

Lindsay: Because she worries. It would upset her to think that things hadn't gone exactly as they were planned. And I love her. I love her, Cristian, so much. I don't want her to be upset. I would -- I would do anything to prevent that.

Cristian: Yeah, yeah, I've noticed.

Lindsay: That's why I have to stop Troy -- stop the plane from taking off for France without Troy and I on it.

Cristian: Yeah, well, I don't get to see Jen much these days, so I doubt I'll get a chance to tell her anything.

Lindsay: Thank you.

Cristian: But what is Dr. MacIver going to say when he comes back from the honeymoon and sees all this?

Lindsay: Uh -- well, he'll understand. He of all people will understand why I did what I did. Love makes you do strange things sometimes.

Cristian: Mrs. Rappaport, are you sure you're all right?

Lindsay: Yes, of course I'm all right. It's my wedding day. It's the happiest day of my life.

************************************************

Troy: Ok, you just take it easy, little fellow. Take it easy. No one's going to hurt you. Just stay nice and quiet, and everything will be all right. That's it. You keep on moving. As long as everything stays nice and quiet, you keep your venom to yourself. Here you go. A couple more inches. No one's going to hurt you. You just keep on moving. Come on. Ok.

************************************************

Al: You know, I'm going to tell Jen everything as soon as there's something to tell her.

Natalie: Oh, no, there's already something to tell her. You can walk. And you should be the happiest guy on earth right now, but instead you're freaking out. And I think I figured out why.

Al: Keep it to yourself.

Natalie: If you can walk, you don't need any more help.

Al: Shut up.

Natalie: And if you don't need help, you don't need Jen. And the second she figures that out, she's running back to Cristian.

Al: Just shut up.

Natalie: You'd like me to keep quiet, wouldn't you? Well, you know what? Too bad. I'm not keeping your secret. It's too big.

Al: It's none of your business, Natalie.

Natalie: You know what? It is my business because this has to do with Cristian just as much as it has to do with you and Jen. And Cristian happens to be my friend.

Al: Your friend? Is that what they call it?

Natalie: That's what I said. No matter what Jessica saw or you think, Cristian is a good friend of mine, and he happens to be a good guy, too. And he thinks that he's ruined your life and lost Jen forever, and he has a right to know what's going on. So if you don't tell him, you better bet I will.

Al: You're not going to tell anybody anything, Natalie.

Natalie: Just try and stop me.

Al: Ugh!   Ugh!

************************************************

Blair: Starr? Sweetie, Starr, are you up here? Hey. Hey.

Starr: Mommy, Mommy!

Blair: Hey! What -- Hedy, wait -- just a minute -- will you take Jack for me, please?

Hedy: Of course I will.

Blair: Here's his pacifier.

Hedy: Ok.

Blair: Got him?

Hedy: He's getting -- I've got him.

Blair: There you go. Now, tell me, what is going on? What's wrong? Sit up here.

Starr: I needed you to come home.

Blair: Why?

Starr: Because I needed you!

Blair: Well, is that all?

Starr: Isn't that enough?

Blair: Oh, honey, you know, I know that it's not easy to be here all by yourself, but, you know, Mommy sometimes has some very important things to take care of and you can't just call me if you miss me.

Starr: But --

Blair: Look, I love you, and we will talk about this later, but Jack is so tired. He needs to go take a nap, ok?

Starr: But, Mommy, I needed you! I did! I was so scared!

Blair: What were you scared of?

Starr: There was a -- a man, a man at the window!

Blair: Downstairs? A man?

Starr: Mm-hmm.

Blair: What -- what man?

Starr: Oh, he was ugly and -- he was just really weird!

Blair: Well -- what did he -- what did he look like?

Starr: Oh, he was tall and ugly and scrawny and dirty and scary!

Blair: Oh -- shh. Ok, ok, ok. Shh.

Starr: And he -- and he had a big stick in his hand. I was so scared!

Blair: Ok, why didn't you say so before? Why didn't you say?

Starr: Because I was afraid that you would be afraid, too.

Blair: Oh, honey, I -- look, I'm here, ok? I should have been here -- I should have been here with you. I should have been here. It's ok. Shh.

************************************************

Todd: What can I do for you, Max?

Gabrielle: Todd, I --

Max: Well, Todd --

Gabrielle: Have some more ideas for the -- Max. What a surprise. What are you doing here?

Max: Business. I have an ad I'd like to run.

Todd: Oh, and you don't need to waste my time with that. You can take it right down the hall --

Gabrielle: You can give it to me. Give it to me. After all, I am an editor here. Hmm? I can help you with the wording and the layout. I have a few mockups right here. Todd, we'll use your office. Right?

Todd: Sure. I can go find someone else to yell at.

Max: Wow. Whatever you have on him, it must be good.

Gabrielle: Excuse me?

Max: Well, I've never seen Todd do anything that anyone's ever asked him to do.

Gabrielle: Oh, well, I can be quite persuasive. That's one of the reasons I'm so good at my job.

Max: Hmm.

Gabrielle: So, what have you got in mind here? I have a few here that have been very successful. Um, Max? Can I ask you something? Why did you personally bring this ad down here? I'm sure you have maybe one or two underpaid minions that could've brought it for you.

Max: Ahem -- yeah, several, actually. Uh -- well, I -- I brought that myself because -- because I wanted to see you.

************************************************

[Phone rings]

Al: Come on. Come on, pick it up!

Cristian's voice: Hello, this is Cristian. I'm not in right now, but leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

[Al sighs]

Jen: I got it, but it says you need to take it with a meal, so I think I'm going to --

Al: No, no, we -- we have to leave now. Right now we have to leave.

Jen: Where do we have to go?

Al: Cristian's house.

************************************************

Blair: Well, you're safe now because Mama's not going to let any big, old, bad man come and get you. No way.

Starr: Mm-hmm.

Blair: You all right? You know what? I think that you -- one brave, big girl -- needs a big cup of hot cocoa. What do you say?

Starr: With marshmallows?

Blair: Oh, double marshmallows. I'll be right back.

Starr: Yes.

Blair: Hedy? Now, where were you when my little girl was all scared out of her wits, huh?

Hedy: Well, I -- I was doing the baby's laundry.

Blair: You know what? Just -- just be a little more --

Hedy: I didn't hear a thing.

Blair: Alert, all right? Now, I'm going to go check and see about getting more security around here.

Starr: What?

Hedy: There was no man, was there, Starr?

Starr: There was if you want to keep your job.

Blair: Ok. Hot cocoa is just about ready, and, Hedy, I would like for you to watch Jack for just a little while. And keep an eye on him, please. I want to spend some quality time with my beautiful little girl. Yes, I do. I love you. Now, is everything ok? Are you all right now?

Starr: Everything's just perfect, Mommy.

************************************************

Gabrielle: Well, perhaps you and I should go to a more private place and talk.

Max: Why? Todd left us alone. I mean, we can talk about Al here.

Gabrielle: Al?

Max: Yeah, that's -- that's what I wanted to see you about.

Gabrielle: Ok.

Max: You see, Al seems to be really committed to Jen Rappaport. And, well, I think it would be good for him if he knew that we -- well, whatever our differences, if we both approved. Now, I know that you -- that you're angry with her for the accident. But I was thinking maybe, some way, you could put that behind you and -- I don't know. Is that possible? For his sake, I mean?

Gabrielle: Um -- well -- yeah -- yes, yes. Of course I can. Of course I can.

Max: Good. Well, that's all I wanted to know. Uh -- oh, and the ad -- any way you want to handle it, it's ok. Thanks.

************************************************

Jen: I don't understand. Why do we have to go to Cristian's place all of a sudden?

Al: There has just been this -- this big misunderstanding, and I want to clear it up right away.

Jen: Is it so important, we can't just call him?

Al: No! No, it -- listen. I have to handle some very personal, face-to-face sort of stuff, and I'd tell you all about it, but I know how upset you get with anything having to do with Cristian since the breakup.

Jen: I know, and if you don't mind, I'm just going to take you upstairs and then I'm just going to come back later because I really don't want to run in to anybody.

Al: I understand.

Seth: Hey, guys. Sorry, but I couldn't help but overhear. You guys wanted to use the elevator, right?

Al: Yeah, well, I'd take the stairs, but my legs have other ideas, ok?

Seth: Right. Well, you're going to have to wait because they're using it to load some stuff, so it's going to be five, 10 minutes.

Al: 10 minutes? I don't have 10 minutes! In 10 minutes, it's going to be too late!

************************************************

Natalie: Cris?

Cristian: Natalie.

[Natalie sighs]

Cristian: Hi.

Natalie: Do you have a minute?

Cristian: For what?

Natalie: I need you to let me in. There's something I've got to tell you.

************************************************

Troy: Just relax. Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate the company, but just keep on moving. Come on. Keep going. I'm going to keep everything nice and calm and quiet until you leave. Keep going. Don't stop there.

Lindsay: Where's the tape?

Troy: Oh -- oh -- ow!

[Troy groans]

>> On the next "One Life To Live" --

Seth: I want you to have what you deserve -- the whole world.

Nora: I was hoping that someone knew where Troy was. I'm worried.

Troy: You finally did it. Now you can add murder to your list of crimes.

Natalie: Al has been playing you. He's been playing everyone, but not anymore.
