Dinah: Henry is your son.

Shayne: And I've decided to do what is best for him, which is letting him stay with his parents, Mallet and Marina.

Reva: I'm fine. So now you have to take care of yourself.

Josh: Are you telling me to get a life?

Olivia: I need to know what we are and aren't going to be to each other. I don't want to play games.

Natalia: Hi, girls. How were the mani-pedis?

Emma: Cool, but my nose itches.

Natalia: Uh-oh. Come here. Don't ruin your nails. Better? Good?

Emma: Yup.

Natalia: Okay.

Emma: We missed you, right, Mom?

Olivia: Yeah, we sure did.

Emma: Can I go show my friend Kira my nails?

Natalia: I can't believe you made a friend already.

Emma: I have good people skills. That's what Ms. Jennings says.

Olivia: So true.

Natalia: Well, you must have got those from your mommy.

Olivia: Okay. Go yeah, go show Kira your nails, but come back soon because we're going home today.

Emma: You know, Mom, you shouldn't say we're going back home.

Olivia: Why?

Emma: Because the hotel is really not a house.

Olivia: A house, like the farmhouse? Okay, I gotcha. You go show Kira your nails. Go on. So did you call Rafe? How is he doing?

Natalia: Yeah. He’s... he's doing well. The halfway house isn't so bad, you know, not like prison.

Olivia: Did you tell him where you were and who you were with?

Natalia: Sure. I always tell him where I am, who I'm with. He didn't think much of it, though. There wasn't a whole lot of time to talk. But I will tell him everything.

Olivia: Everything?

Natalia: I'm not really ready yet to talk to him about stuff that I don't really understand, so... I love it here, though. It feels really safe. I can't believe we have to go home already.

Olivia: The question is: What are we going back to?

Shayne: Horror movie? Can you handle it? Oh, action. Would you watch an action movie with me?

Dinah: It takes a real man to walk into a date movie.

Shayne: A chick flick? You want to see a chick flick?

Dinah: Yeah.

Shayne: Well, I am a real man, as long as I get to make out with you on the balcony.

Dinah: Oh, you have a one track mind, and I thank God for that every day.

Shayne: I do? Why not just skip the movie and we could just stay here? What do you say about that?

Dinah: Because you have a physical scheduled at Cedars. We'll go there, and then we'll head off to the movie, okay? I want to make sure that you're in good shape for the long nights ahead.

Shayne: Ooh, well, I feel fine because I have this new, hot trainer.

Dinah: Really?

Shayne: Yeah. This woman, she's smokin'.

Dinah: Great.

Shayne: Yeah.

Dinah: No. See, I'm here for reminding you of the practicalities of life, like schedules and physicals and babies.

Shayne: Babies?

Dinah: Your son is here, and he's living with Mallet and Marina. Henry's here and...

Shayne: Not now, okay? We're going to be late for the physical. Let's go.

Dinah: Okay.

Marina: I... I'm sorry, I don't understand.

Mallet: Yeah, I don't understand, either. We just came in for a simple checkup. So how sick is our son?

Doctor: Henry's anemic, and he needs an immediate transfusion. Unfortunately, he has a rare blood type, and we don't have it in the hospital at the moment. We'll find it, but it might take up to 24 hours.

Mallet: Well, I can give blood, can I give blood?

Doctor: No. Unfortunately, we have your blood types on file, and neither of you is a match.

Marina: Okay. So what else can we do? Can we call our families, some of our friends, see if there is anyone else?

Doctor: Sure. But I doubt they'll be a match. We have calls out to every blood bank in the area.

Mallet: Is there anything we can do?

Marina: I mean, is he dehydrated? Is he in need of comfort?

Doctor: He might get a little weaker before we get the blood, but you should just try to stay calm.

Mallet: Okay.

Doctor: Okay.

Mallet: Just take care of our son. Just do whatever it takes, okay?

Doctor: He's in good hands. Don't worry.

Reva: You know, you really don't have to do this, but thank you.

Blake: No. I'm glad I could help. I just hope I didn't, you know, create too many problems for you, Jeffrey, and Josh.

Reva: Yeah, well, everyone's nerves are a little frayed right now between me being sick and the baby and Edmund.

Blake: You know, Reva, I probably should have left well-enough alone, but I get a little worried when I see you and Josh together like that. You... you're just these magnets. And I know that you've worked so hard with Jeffrey to have this baby and this family. Plus, I think it's the first time he's ever let himself love someone.

Reva: I'm very lucky.

Blake: Yeah. I also think that Jeffrey is naive. I mean he's confident, and he knows he's a great guy and everything, but he has no idea how many relationships have broken up because a person has a soul mate for life. I think he needs to fight for his family.

Reva: Is that what you said to him?

Blake: Yeah.

Reva: And what did he say?

Blake: He left here really fast.

Reva: Uh-huh. Well, now, Blake, I'm going to have to leave really fast. Do you mind staying with Colin?

Blake: No, no. I'll stay. I'll stay. I'll stay. Just remember that he loves you.

Reva: Yeah. Yeah, well that's not what I'm worried about.

Josh: Come on, what... what, are you following me around? I mean, you're going to yell at me for taking care of the mother of my children, really?

Jeffrey: Your children, Josh, your children are grown. Reva has a new child now, a baby, a new husband, and a new life to make.

Josh: I understand that.

Jeffrey: It's not that I don't appreciate what you did with Edmund. I do. But that case... Josh, that case is over.

Josh: I'm not so sure about that.

Jeffrey: Well, I'm not so sure that your gut feeling about Edmund isn't you not being able to let go of Reva.

Josh: You know, I honestly believed that we'd already worked through all of this, Jeffrey?

Jeffrey: Well, I don't want to be blindsided. It took me a lot to get here, okay? Where I can finally commit to my wife, to a baby.

Josh: Well, congratulations, Jeffrey! I mean, welcome to the real world where people actually commit to each other every day.

Jeffrey: I'm there. And I know... I know what you're going through with this secret agent thing, but you're going to have to move along.

Josh: Really? To what?

Jeffrey: I don't know. That's for you to figure out, and I want you to stay clear of Reva when you do it.

Josh: Reva is always going to be a part of my life. That's just being honest, my friend.

Jeffrey: Well, what can I do to help free you of this obsession, okay? Because the next time I find you in the middle of my family...

Josh: What?

Jeffrey: I'm going to knock you out!

Josh: Come on, Jeffrey, aren't we getting a little bit old for this kind of thing, really?

Jeffrey: Yeah, we are. And that's why you need to move along.

Josh: You need to calm down.

Jeffrey: I'm not the one who tackled a jack in the box.

Josh: I know when Reva’s in trouble. My gut tells me when Reva’s in trouble. So if moving on or getting out of the way means you think I'm going to sit around and expect you to handle everything, that's not going to happen!

Jeffrey: Look, Reva knows what a great guy you are. Josh, she will always love you. But you've got to let her move into her future.

Josh: What, because I'm her past?

Jeffrey: Pretty much, yeah. I think I've been more than reasonable. You're taking up a lot of space in our lives.

Josh: I'm not trying to take over your lives, okay, Jeffrey? I want Reva to move into the future, too. I just want it to be a safe world for her. And that's what this is about. This is about Edmund.

Jeffrey: Edmund is gone!

Josh: I don't think so!

Jeffrey: You've got to let it go, Josh. Get a hobby or something! Your assignment has been finished.

Josh: What if Edmund pops up again, like that jack in the box.

Jeffrey: You know, I like you, Josh, but sometimes I just want to strangle you.

Josh: Can we stop with that, please, with the fighting thing. This is not grade school. We're not fighting over the girl with the big blue eyes.

Reva: Hey, come on! Guys, whatever this is about, whatever you're fighting about has to stop now, you crazy idiots.

Josh: How you doing, blue eyes? Nice to see you.

Reva: Are you out of your mind?

Josh: Yeah, I think I am!

Jeffrey: Let him go. Let him go. He'll come to his senses.

Reva: He gets like this, and he gets emotional when it comes to me and the kids.

Jeffrey: You don't say?

Reva: Joshua Lewis, you get back here so we can deal with this before it gets bigger than it has to be.

Olivia: Looky here.

Natalia: You talk weird sometimes.

Olivia: I'm whimsical. It's part of my charm. No, looky here. Looky here at what I got in the gift shop.

Natalia: Okay. World's top hotels, resorts and spas?

Olivia: Uh-huh. I thought we'd just go from place to place and check it all out.

Natalia: There are so many of them.

Olivia: I know.

Natalia: So we'd be gone for like years and years and years, and never go back Springfield.

Olivia: Yes. And Emma will be all grown, and she'd be able to understand things a little bit better. And the people we felt the need to explain ourselves to would be dead, so we really wouldn't have to talk to a lot of people.

Natalia: Yeah. And plus, we'd be so gorgeous.

Olivia: Yes!

Natalia: Our skin would be glowing from all of the spa treatments.

Olivia: Yes.

Natalia: Yeah... but we can’t. We have jobs. I don't think even you have enough money to live at a spa the rest of your life.

Olivia: It would be nice to go somewhere where no one knows us, though.

Natalia: Not really, no. I don't think so. I mean, we love each other for who we are in our lives. I love you because of who you are with Emma, who you are at work. You're strong and powerful and loving.

Olivia: And I love you because you are just the most nurturing person I think I've ever met. A little sappy sometimes.

Natalia: Shut up!

Olivia: Okay. All right. So we'll go back, but we have to promise we're not going to take a step back, right?

Natalia: Your hands are pretty. The nail polish is really pretty.

Olivia: Beautiful dream.

Natalia: What?

Olivia: That's the name of the nail polish.

Marina: I don't understand. He's just a baby, he shouldn't be so sick.

Mallet: It's okay. He's okay, he's going to be okay.

Marina: No. No, no, it's not like we could wave some magic wand and just find somebody with his blood type. I just feel so helpless. I wish that we could find his real parents. You know, I know that they'd be able to help. I'm sure they'd want to help.

Dinah: What's going on? You guys don't look so good. What's up?

Marina: It's Henry. He has some rare form of anemia or something. I don’t...

Dinah: What? Do they know how to treat something like that?

Mallet: Yeah. A transfusion. But the problem is he's got a rare antigen in his blood, so it's going to be difficult to find his specific blood type.

Shayne: Are they looking?

Marina: Yeah. They're looking everywhere in Springfield right now. But we need to find something fast.

Dinah: So a blood relative would be your best bet, right?

Mallet: Well, yeah, but that's pretty near impossible since Henry is adopted.

Dinah: Nothing's ever too impossible, right?

Shayne: Right.

Dinah: Right.

Shayne: I'm sure that you guys are going to find a match, okay? I'm positive of it. Just stay strong.

Mallet: Yeah.

Shayne: I'm really sorry to hear about Henry.

Mallet: Thanks.

Shayne: Let's go.

Dinah: I really don't understand why you just did not say anything.

Shayne: For the same reason I don't say anything about the kid. I don't want to screw things up for them, Dinah.

Dinah: The kid? The kid-- your kid-- could be very sick.

Shayne: Yeah, thank you, my kid. But I think they would rather have a sick kid than no kid at all, right?

Dinah: Please tell me... please tell me I have not fallen for a guy who is walking away from his son right now. Especially when he needs him.

Shayne: Henry does not need to know who his real father is right now, Dinah. He needs blood! My blood. Which I'm about to go do for him, okay?

Dinah: Okay.

Shayne: Come here. You promise me that you're not going to say anything to Mallet and Marina. Promise me.

Dinah: I promise you.

Shayne: Okay.

Jeffrey: What... what are you doing here? You know, your running around causes most of these problems.

Reva: What the hell are you talking about?

Josh: Calm down, Reva.

Jeffrey: Back off.

Reva: You know what? Can we just get past high school and settle this?

Josh: We haven't gotten to the high school part yet.

Reva: We all want the same thing, sort of.

Jeffrey: No, I don't think so. You know what? I don't think it's possible. That's like asking cats and dogs to live together peacefully.

Reva: What are you talking about?

Jeffrey: What am I talking about? I think asking Josh to help us and to be a part of our lives is unfair to Josh. And I think that... you know, I think that you can't really have Reva in your life halfway.

Reva: That is ridiculous.

Josh: No. No, it's not. He's right. I can't be there for you part-time, Reva, okay? Not after everything we've shared.

Reva: But you are in my life. We have kids together. We live in the same town together! We have history together!

Jeffrey: Which is why your first instinct is to run to Josh. You encourage him. Maybe you're the one who can't let go, Reva.

Olivia: Okay. Well, check-out is in half an hour and I called for a car.

Natalia: What's that?

Olivia: It's one of those surveys. You're suppose to tell them how your stay was.

Natalia: Well, I think that we accomplished a lot. I feel very comfortable around you. It's very familiar, but it's also very, very new. And I'm not scared. You know? Does that make sense to you?

Olivia: It makes total sense to me. Although, I think they want to know more, you know, about the spa service, and their shampoos...

Natalia: Yes, yes. Write down everything was great!

Olivia: Things are going to be different, though. I mean, they are different. People are bound to notice when we go back home.

Natalia: Uh-huh. Well, it's nobody's business, right?

Olivia: No.

Natalia: Still, people are going to talk.

Olivia: Yeah.

Natalia: That's just what people do.

Olivia: Emma's school, the parents, the teachers, the kids...

Natalia: Yeah, Rafe, the people at work, the Cooper’s. I just think maybe we should be prepared.

Olivia: Maybe we should rehearse what we're going to say.

Natalia: Which is what?

Olivia: That we came here to make a decision, and maybe we haven't figured it all out, but that no matter what, we're going to be friends.

Natalia: That's a lot.

Olivia: There's more.

Natalia: Yeah, well... yeah. And we'll get there.

Olivia: We will, right?

Natalia: We will, one way or another. Well, just... no matter what happens, just please promise me I will not lose my best friend.

Olivia: Oh, I promise you. You?

Natalia: I promise.

Olivia: Okay. Bye. Ava says hello.

Natalia: Is everything okay?

Olivia: She's moving into a bigger place in the city, and she feels stressed out, and she needs a little help. So I think I'm going to have to go up to San Francisco for a few days.

Emma: Can I come?

Olivia: No. Because you've missed school already, haven't you?

Emma: Uh-huh.

Olivia: Yeah.

Natalia: You know what, but you should really go, though. Definitely go. Ava needs you. I know you miss her so much.

Olivia: Yeah. Do you think that maybe you can take Emma for a few days?

Emma: Oh, yes!

Natalia: Yes, I could. And I'll make sure she gets to school. Right before I go to work, I'll take her.

Olivia: You like that idea? You like that idea.

Natalia: (Laughs)

Olivia: Why don't you tell your friend Kira? She still here?

Emma: Uh-huh.

Olivia: So I guess this is good-bye.

Natalia: Yeah. And when you get back, you know... is there a little, tiny part of you that is just really relieved that you get to go to San Francisco?

Olivia: And I get to ring the trolley bell.

Natalia: Yeah.

Olivia: Listen, I'm going to be out there, and I'm going to think of you and Emma baking cookies and sitting by the fire, and I'm just going to want to be there with you. What?

Natalia: I'm just... I just think it's funny. You know, we're just mixed together, we're like intertwined. It's in the nicest way.

Olivia: I'm going to miss you.

Natalia: Tell me about it.

Reva: You know what? I'm not speaking to either one of you. I'm going to go home, and I'm going to be with the one man that I do still like-- my son.

Jeffrey: I'm going to have to go deal with that.

Josh: Yeah, well good luck with that.

Jeffrey: Now you're backing off.

Josh: Got to start somewhere.

Matt: Hey, Josh. Problems?

Josh: Just putting out some fires, that's all.

Matt: Reva?

Josh: Yeah, big surprise, huh? Reva! It's always Reva in one way or another. I'm happy for her, I really am. I want her to be happy, but I'm getting really tired of being the good friend, the good pal. And Jeffrey, I actually like the guy. I do. But somehow we always end up acting like a couple of school kids because of her!

Matt: Yeah, I know the feeling. Every time I see your brother with Vanessa, I feel like slapping him.

Josh: I understand. I do. And on top of all of that, I just have this gut feeling that Edmund is still out there somewhere. That he's going to come back, and he's going to go after us just when we least expect it.

Matt: It sounds like a bad horror movie.

Josh: A never-ending horror movie, yes.

Matt: You need a break.

Josh: I've been told.

Matt: You need a woman.

Josh: No, I don’t. Women are my downfall. They make me crazy. Reva makes me crazy. And if it's someone else and Reva’s still around, and that makes me crazy.

Matt: Maybe you should try staying away from Reva and her family and friends. It might help.

Josh: I'd have to move.

Marina: Thanks. Oh, please tell us you found a match.

Doctor: Not yet.

Mallet: Well, they just started looking. I'm sure they're doing everything they can.

Marina: Can we go see him?

Doctor: Let me check him over first. Just hang tight.

Dinah: Any word? Is their anything I can do?

Mallet: That depends. What's your blood type?

Dinah: You know, I think Henry’s going to be okay. I have a really good feeling about this. This baby has a guardian angel watching over him.

Marina: You think?

Dinah: Yeah, I do. Henry's a tough little guy. You know, um... Marina, you could check out the blood donors. Sometimes when a mother makes a personal appeal, it gets faster results.

Marina: That's a good idea. I'll go do that.

Mallet: All right. I'll come get you if I hear anything.

Nurse: Okay, you're all done, sir. Make sure you sit up slowly.

Dinah: You did a wonderful thing bringing Henry back. Never forget that, all right? You never know what would have happened to him.

Mallet: Well, in the beginning of all of this, I was just so focused on getting Marina a baby. It was like a mission.

Dinah: Well, she was devastated with Coop dying. You wanted to give her something to look forward to, something to hope for.

Mallet: You know how they say a man becomes a father when his baby is born? Even though Henry was adopted, I felt like that. I felt like the second I had him in my arms, he was mine.

Dinah: I know. I was there. I saw the look on your face.

Mallet: Yeah. When he looked up at me with those sweet little eyes, I was a goner. But now he's in trouble and I can't do a damn thing about it. Well, I'll go check in with the doctor. At least I can do that.

Mallet: Marina! There you are. Good news. Good news.

Marina: They found a match?

Mallet: Yeah. Someone right here in the hospital. Henry's going to get his transfusion.

Doctor: Let's get back to your son and get things started.

Marina: Thank God!

Mallet: Yeah. I'll be right there. Guardian angel? Yeah, I think you were right. And I know you think you're encouragement wasn't getting through, but I heard you. Thank you.

Dinah: You happy?

Shayne: Yes, I am. I just gave blood that is going to help Henry. I am happy.

Dinah: What if we didn't happen to just be at the hospital to hear about Henry’s illness? I mean, do you understand how dangerous this is, to hang on to a secret like this?

Shayne: My decision. My kid.

Dinah: But, see, you're not making a decision. You're running away from this. And this is going to come back to haunt you.

Shayne: Is that why you broke your promise to me. You basically showed Marina where the blood donor room was. You looked me straight in the eyes and you promised me that you wouldn't say a word about this.

Dinah: I didn't tell anything to Marina! I pushed her in your direction, and I left the rest up to fate.

Shayne: To fate?

Dinah: Yes.

Shayne: To hell with fate. What about trust? Because I trusted you.

Dinah: Oh, come on, stop! The longer you hang on to this, the bigger explosion there will be when the truth comes out. And it does come out. It always comes out. I've got scars to prove it.

Shayne: It's my decision! It's done. My decision was an easy one, too. I'm doing this for two good people. Two good parents! Because that's what I want for this kid, okay?

Dinah: I'm sorry. I was just trying to help, that's all.

Shayne: I know that you were. I've got to go.

Matt: You're a nice guy, Josh. That's the problem. You want everything to be all right. You want to fix things. Your kids are grown. Reva is now Jeffrey’s problem, and I mean that in the best possible sense. You've got nothing to fix.

Josh: Except myself.

Matt: You need a woman. And I don't mean in the "I'm Josh, the great guy," committed sort of thing. I'm talking about...

Josh: (Laughs)

Matt: Seriously. Listen to me.

Josh: Okay.

Matt: I'm talking about casual.

Josh: Casual? Really? How's that working out for you?

Matt: Not bad. Not bad. But, you know what? I've got a little girl at home that I've got to raise, so I can't get too crazy with it. You, on the other hand, my friend, green light.

Josh: What?

Matt: You know what I'm going to do? I'll tell you what I'm going to do: I'm going to make it my own personal goal to help you meet women.

Josh: What are we talking about, Matt? Are we going to go into bars and pick up chicks, that kind of thing?

Matt: No, no, no, no, I'm not talking about bars. No bars. I'm talking about the produce aisle at the supermarket. Now, don't look at me like that. I know what I'm talking about.

Josh: (Laughs)

Matt: Listen to me. Come on. Project: New life.

Josh: (Laughs)

Matt: Come on. Let's go. You're coming with me.

Josh: I've got to tell you something, this sounds a whole lot scarier than going after Edmund. You're really freaking me out right now.

Reva: Okay, where's my boy?

Blake: Fast asleep. He even sleeps cute. He's great.

Jeffrey: Thanks for your help, Blake.

Blake: Did I help? I'm kind of feeling like I was a big, old tattletale.

Reva: No, no, no. You brought some important things to our attention.

Jeffrey: And it's all taken care of.

Blake: Oh, good. Then I'm going to leave now. I'm just glad it had a happy ending.

Reva: Uh-huh.

Blake: Okay, see you soon.

Reva: Okay.

Blake: You'll be okay?

Reva: Uh-huh.

Blake: Okay. Thank you.

Jeffrey: Thank you.

Blake: Oh. Bye.

Reva: Oh, that's good. It's quiet.

Jeffrey: Are we going to talk?

Reva: Are you going to apologize to me for making this my problem?

Jeffrey: Reva, it's not an insult. I mean, you... you get under a man's skin, and then he's never the same again.

Reva: (Laughs) Well, I'm just little old me. You have to promise me something.

Jeffrey: Anything. You know it’s... it's just so great to have you home. And we're finally, you know, rid of all of the other stuff, the people. I didn't even have a chance to ask you about this test. It was just a simple blood test, right?

Reva: Well, it was really kind of more than that. I was trying to keep it to myself, but you have this way of getting the truth out of me without even trying.

Jeffrey: Thank God. Well?

Reva: This test was a biggie, you know. And, I don't know, I guess I'm just worried about it because once those results are in, we're going to know whether the cancer is still here or not. And I guess maybe a part of me was trying to make an excuse to just bail out of going to the hospital today.

Jeffrey: Why?

Reva: Because once we know the results, if I'm not in remission, then I don't think I can stand it.

Natalia: Hey. What are you in the mood for?

Emma: Chocolate fudge cookies.

Natalia: No. You're going to have a proper dinner, young lady.

Emma: No, I don't want to eat. Can we just watch TV, like we used to do?

Natalia: Oh, yeah, right. And then your mommy will come home, and then she'll find out that I've been letting you slack off, and then she's going to yell at me.

Emma: She's not going to yell at you, because I have two mommies, and if you say yes, that counts.

Reva: You know, when I hold him like this, all seems right with the world.

Jeffrey: And babies think we hold them because they need it.

Reva: Yeah. I had a big blood test today.

Jeffrey: You aced the test.

Reva: I hope so because I would kind of like to see how this little guy turns out.

Jeffrey: Well, I've got a good feeling about it. (Crying)

Reva: Oh, it's going to be okay. It's going to be okay. I wish I could freeze this moment forever. Because we have it all, right here, right now.

Jeffrey: You know what? Things are going to get even better.

Reva: Yes, no wonder I married you.

Jeffrey: Hey, and you know, you don't have to worry about Edmund, really. Okay? We can take that off the table.

Reva: Hello, sweetie.

Doctor: Good news. The transfusion is working. Your son's going to pull out of this just fine.

Marina: Oh, thank you. Thank you. We were worried.

Mallet: Thank you, Doc.

Marina: So is there any way that we can know who made this donation? I mean, we just want to have a chance to thank them.

Doctor: Well, the donors are usually anonymous. We know their blood types, but not their names.

Mallet: Okay. Well, then it's settled. We'll name our next kid anonymous out of gratitude for this person.

Doctor: I'm going to go check on your son, finish the transfusion, and then we'll get him back to you.

Marina: That sounds good.

Mallet: Thank you. Our little guy's going to be all right.

Marina: Yes. What?

Mallet: I just wish I would have been the one who had been able to help him out. You know, be the one who steps up. That's what fathers do.

Marina: You have already shown Henry what a great father you are. Hey, you will be there for him. You are going to be the one who buys him his first bike. You are going to be the one who dresses up in a Santa suit, and you're going to take him to his first day of school.

Mallet: We... we are the ones.

Marina: Yes, we. We are going to be the ones that Henry turns to his whole life, for whatever he needs. You have plenty of time to show him what a hero you are.

Josh: I just... I feel like I'm everyone's project these days, you know?

Matt: Well, that's because everyone loves you, Josh.

Josh: I appreciate that, I really do. Thank you. But the fact is I can't concentrate on the kind of thing you're talking about right now, not until I know for sure that Edmund’s out of the picture.

Matt: Well, hang on. I thought you told Reva and Jeffrey you were going to back off?

Josh: Yeah, see, they don't have to know. Okay? Not unless you tell them.

Matt: I'm not going to say anything to them. I don't know who scares me more, Reva or Jeffrey.

Josh: Yeah.

Shayne: Dad.

Josh: Hey.

Shayne: Hey.

Josh: Hey.

Shayne: Hey.

Josh: Are you okay?

Shayne: Why wouldn't I be? I'm fine, yes. Hey, Matt.

Matt: Hey. Hey, Shayne. How you doing, man? You all right? You look a little pale.

Shayne: Yeah, well, I gave blood today, so...

Matt: Good for you. That's good.

Shayne: Yeah. Great way to help someone, right?

Matt: Yeah. Well, hey, um... you know what? We can pick up the produce later. And you've got stuff to do, it looks like. And we'll work on the project another day. But I'm going to hold you to it, though.

Josh: Okay.

Matt: All right. Shayne, good to see you, bro. Take care, man. Produce?

Josh: Yeah. Yeah, I've got a lot of people right now who are concerned about me.

Shayne: Why are people concerned about you?

Josh: Because I have this thing... this project that I just have to finish.

Shayne: Okay. You're being very vague. What's going on?

Josh: I have to go after Edmund. I need to know he's out of commission. I need to see it with my own two eyes.

Shayne: All right. Yes. It's better to be sure, right? Lord knows life can throw you a surprise when you least expect it.

Josh: I just... I just know that if he comes back into our lives, it will be bad for the family.

Shayne: Have you talked to Jeffrey about this? What does he think?

Josh: A couple of things. One is that I'm an amateur detective, and the other is I have to stay away from your mom.

Shayne: Jeffrey...

Josh: Look, I understand. I get it. He's a new dad. And when that event happens in your life, you have these feelings that you don't really know what to do with. So what do you think? Do you think I'm crazy for going after this?

Shayne: Yeah, I probably do. Yeah, but for what it's worth, do you need someone to ride shotgun with you?

Josh: You're saying you want to come along?

Shayne: Yes, I am. Why not? I mean, Edmund came to town because of me.

Josh: How soon can you pack?

Coming up on "Guiding Light"...

Emma: I just like having both all the time, you and Mommy.

Bill: James is not the easiest guy to like.

Lizzie: He's practically a kid.

Bill: And that is why I'm making an effort. But there's something about him. He's never looking me in the eye when I talk to him.

James: Hey, Dad, what's up?

Phillip: That sounded like a business call.
