Previously on "Guiding Light"...
Jeffrey: Are you sure that you don't want to do the c-section?
Doctor: We're going for a natural delivery.
Olivia: Someone should say what needs to be said at a time like this. And I'm the person to do it.
Lizzie: Would you please tell Frank Rooper that I will not be filing charges against Dinah Marler?
Dinah: That's not acceptable.
Lizzie: You will pay. You will pay with every lonely moment of your life.
Reva: Oh, I don't need that.
Jeffrey: You're doing great.
Reva: I can do this.
Jeffrey: Everything's great. You're doing great.
Reva: Will you stop saying that, please? Please don't say "great" anymore, please?
Jeffrey: Okay, I'm sorry. Sorry.
Reva: Are you sure everything's going to be okay with the baby?
Doctor: The baby seems to be ready, Reva.
Reva: I know, but he's early.
Jeffrey: You know what, Reva? Once the baby knew that you wanted to have a c-section, he decided that he was going to save you from having a scar.
Reva: That's so thoughtful of him.
Doctor: If you three are fine, I'll be back in just a minute.
Reva: Okay.
Jeffrey: This is really it. He's coming!
Reva: Yeah. Ah! Ooh, ooh, ooh! (Panting) Okay.
Frank: Coming! Hey, Billy!
Billy: Hey! I heard some poor sucker was getting married!
Frank: Are you kidding me? I'm the luckiest man in the world!
Josh: Yes, you are.
Frank: Thank you.
Matt: No wonder you wouldn't let me talk to her.
Olivia: Hey, you guys, get in here! I'm trying to make a speech!
Josh: My experience with her has been that, if she yells like that, it's best to obey. Hi, honey.
Natalia: Hey.
Josh: How are you?
Olivia: Come on in. (Crosstalk)
Josh: ...Appreciate it, thank you very much.
Olivia: So... times like this don't come along every day.
Natalia: You don't have to give a speech.
Frank: No, that's okay. Let her speak.
Natalia: No, I'm mean, she's had a couple drinks.
Frank: She'll be fine.
Olivia: Yeah, I'll be fine. Thank you, Frank. He is a good man. So anyone who knows me, knows that I'm not the type of person to keep things inside.
Billy: Amen! (Laughter)
Olivia: That's right, Billy Lewis. When I feel something, I just come right out and say it. That's who I am, so... I mean, how often do you get a chance to stand up and tell somebody how you feel about them?
Marina: Where's Henry?
Mallet: He's asleep in the crib.
Marina: Hmm. How long have I been asleep?
Mallet: Like, 15 minutes.
Marina: Really?
Mallet: Mm-hmm. Yeah. I'm thinking if Henry stays on his sleeping schedule, that means we'd have the whole house to ourselves, just the two of us, for, like, 30 minutes.
Marina: Wow!
Mallet: Yeah.
Marina: Well, what would we do?
Mallet: I don't know. Two consenting adults with time on our hands. I don't know.
What in the world brings you to your knees
gets under your skin inside inside the place where your
eyes can't see but somehow the visions wrong.
Shayne: Hey! Hi.
Dinah: Hi.
Shayne: You're really going to do this, aren't you?
Dinah: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Shayne: Okay.
Dinah: Yes, I'm trying. Please don't talk me out of it.
Shayne: I'm not. I'm not. You need to talk to Doris Wolfe.
Dinah: I need to find out if she's going to press charges against me. My part in kidnapping Lizzie. I just... I don't know. I just feel like my life is on hold, and I can't stop thinking about it. I dream about it every night. I just... I can't have this hanging over my head anymore. I can’t.
Shayne: Okay, I got you. Hey. I got you. So Doris is pretty tough. You know her? You're going to need your strength.
Dinah: What's this?
Shayne: Double strength. That is a egg white, whey, and beet protein shake. It's all chock-full of vitamins and minerals.
Dinah: (Laughing) This is disgusting! No, you drink it.
Shayne: I'm not drinking that. It tastes horrible.
Dinah: What's in the bag?
Shayne: Nothing's in the bag.
Dinah: What's in the bag?
Shayne: That's my double bacon cheeseburger's in the bag.
Dinah: Give me some of that!
Shayne: I'm not giving you my double bacon cheeseburger. Fries, too.
Dinah: Please?
Shayne: I'll split it with you. Let's go.
Jeffrey: Okay, here. Here you go. I had to go all the way down the hall for these ice chips...
Reva: Oh, good.
Jeffrey: ...But I finally found them!
Reva: Ooh, uh-uh. No, don't want that. Yuck!
Jeffrey: Okay, you want something else?
Reva: No! No, nothing.
Jeffrey: Okay, how about if I rub your back?
Reva: Oh, yeah.
Jeffrey: Would that help?
Reva: No, no, no.
Jeffrey: Okay, your feet?
Reva: Yeah, my feet. No, don't do that, either. Don’t. Just don't touch me.
Jeffrey: Okay. What do you want?
Reva: Come here. Just stand.
Jeffrey: Okay.
Reva: Hold my hand.
Jeffrey: All right.
Reva: Oh. Ah. You know, I know I've done this before, many times, but I'm scared.
Jeffrey: Are you scared?
Reva: Yeah, I'm scared.
Jeffrey: I'm scared! We'd be fools not to be scared, Reva. But you know what? When we went into this, we knew that it was going to be a lot. And we looked at each other, and we decided we wanted to have this baby, and now here he is. We're scared today. We're going to be scared tomorrow. We're going to be scared his first day of school. We're going to be scared when he goes off to college. But you taught me about being a parent, and you never pretended that it was anything except scary and frightening, okay? But we're going to do this. We're going to do this together, all right?
Reva: Yeah, I know. I guess I'm just scared because, you know, while he's in here he's protected, but once he gets out there, it's just...
Jeffrey: Reva, Reva...
Reva: I just want to know that we can do everything we need to do for him. Jeffrey.
Jeffrey: Reva. You made me realize that I'm ready to be a parent to this child. And that was no easy task. Reva, you've cheated death, okay? You're Reva Shayne, for God's sake!
Reva: Oh!
Jeffrey: You can do everything. You can do this! You can do this!
Reva: Ah! Oh, oh, oh! Ah! I thought this was supposed to get easier the more times you do it. I mean, I've dropped a lot of kids, but this isn't getting any easier. It's not.
Jeffrey: Well, the doctor will be right back. He will, won't he?
Nurse: Yeah, you know, well, actually, I need you to step outside, Mr. O’Neill.
Jeffrey: I have to... why?
Nurse: For the epidural, it's hospital rules.
Reva: Oh, yeah. Epidural. That's a good thing.
Jeffrey: I'll be right outside.
Reva: Okay.
Jeffrey: I'll be outside.
Reva: Yes, go. Go. Okay. Oh! Oh!
Doctor: So how are we feeling?
Reva: How are you feeling? Because I'm not feeling so good. Wasn't it supposed to be like riding a bicycle, you know? It's not. It's not.
Edmund: Jeffrey, how's she doing?
Jeffrey: I... uh... she's doing everything, you know, that she's supposed to be doing.
Edmund: I'm glad. Good luck to both of you.
Jeffrey: Thank you.
Edmund: Everything's going to be fine.
Jeffrey: I know.
Edmund: You're scared.
Jeffrey: Terrified.
Doris: (Sighs)
Dinah: There you are. You saved me from making a trip inside.
Doris: Oh, what do you want, Dinah? Oh, hello again, Shayne.
Shayne: Hey there. How are you doing?
Doris: Uh, I was feeling fine. I think that's about to change.
Dinah: I need to know if you're going to press charges against me for my part in the kidnapping of Lizzie Spaulding.
Doris: What, you're here to remind me that you're a criminal? That's interesting.
Dinah: Well?
Doris: Oh, probably not.
Shayne: See? That's good news.
Dinah: Why the hell not, Doris?
Doris: You know, if you'll excuse me, I've got to take a conference call, okay?
Dinah: Look, I need closure.
Doris: Well, you have it, okay? Lizzie Spaulding didn't press charges, and Grady Foley skipped town. And frankly, your part in this case is a little... uninspired. It won't do much for my career. Look, I can't say it won't happen, but I just don't know when. (Cell phone rings) Oh, uh... I got to take this.
Shayne: Okay. Well, I think that takes care of that.
Dinah: No, it doesn’t. Did you hear what she said? She isn't going to do anything. I... I have to figure out a way to make myself pay.
Marina: Whoa, what are you doing?
Mallet: I can’t... I can't do this with him sleeping right there. It's weird. Let's go upstairs.
Marina: Okay.
Marina: (Laughs) Okay, okay, okay. Wait. Wait, wait, wait. Wait. (Baby crying)
Mallet: Almost. I'll go.
Marina: Are you sure?
Mallet: Yeah. (Baby crying)
Billy: Come on, Frank, open it up!
Frank: I don't know, Billy. Is this something I can open up in front of the ladies? (Laughter)
Billy: Very fragile, Frank.
Josh: We're just trying to take care of you, that's all, Frank.
Olivia: Okay, guys. I'm just-- I'm in the middle of a toast.
Billy: Well, you better pick it up, because you're losing your audience.
Olivia: Okay, all right, all right. Okay. Okay. Gus brought Natalia and I together, and not in a way that either one of us wanted or expected. And I... well, we didn't like each other. And honestly, I never thought that we would, but... we slowly came to rely on each other. And we became friends. And then we became a family. You have changed my life forever with your grace and your optimism and your faith. And I'm grateful for that. I've never told you that. I am so grateful. I've also never told you that...
(Glass smashing)
Natalia: Oh, my God. I'm so sorry.
Frank: That's all right, baby, don't worry about it. Are you okay?
Natalia: Yeah, no, I'm okay.
Frank: Don't worry about it. Don't worry.
Josh: Oh, Frank, you are so well trained! (Laughter)
Matt: Natalia, good job!
Frank: No, I trained her.
Matt: No, I think it was the other way around.
Billy: This man is definitely in love.
Josh: How long was it after you got married before you stopped taking out the trash without being asked?
Matt: Six weeks. (Laughter)
Billy: No wonder you couldn't keep her! (Laughter) Natalia, you have to get a honey-do list, and you have to get a lot of things on it, and you have to make sure Frank agrees to every, single one of them before you get married.
Natalia: I'm sorry, what? (Laughter)
Billy: A to-do list for you husband to be. You know, take advantage of it. It's nice to have a man around the house.
Jeffrey: Okay. Uh... I just texted everyone. If you see anyone else, would you let them know that they moved Reva to the delivery room?
Edmund: Absolutely.
Doctor: Mr. O’Neill? You need to come inside.
Jeffrey: Did you give her the epidural?
Doctor: There wasn't time. She... your wife's fully dilated.
Edmund: I think that means the baby's going to come.
Reva: Ah! Ah! What are you doing? You're missing all the fun! Uh!
Jeffrey: Well, I had some very important work to do. I texted the whole town, Reva. They're on their way!
Doctor: The baby's getting close.
Reva: Close? Close? Why couldn't it have just saved us all the trouble and been born in a cabin, or, I don't know, in an elevator like all the other babies in this town?
Jeffrey: All right, just... just breathe, okay? Breathe in, and then... well, then breathe out.
Reva: You don't know what you're doing. What are you doing? What are you talking about?
Jeffrey: I'm coaching you!
Reva: You're not coaching me. You don't know what you're doing!
Jeffrey: I went to the classes.
Reva: You're clueless. You passed out in the classes.
Jeffrey: Okay, well, then I saw it in the movies. It's breathing! How hard can it be? Breathe.
Reva: Does this look easy to you? Oh, ah!
Jeffrey: I meant... I just meant... it's complicated. There go all the bones in my hand.
Reva: Listen to me. Listen to me! You're going to do all the nighttime feedings, and you're going to clean all the grossest of the grossest diapers, you got that?
Jeffrey: Lay it on me. Just, can we switch hands?
Reva: Oh, oh! I am so glad you're here. I'm just so glad you're here.
Jeffrey: I'm glad, too.
Doctor: I'm going to need you to push.
Reva: (Screaming) Push me up! Push me up! (Screaming)
Frank: Here you go, sweetheart.
Natalia: Thank you.
Frank: You're welcome.
Natalia: You take such good care of me.
Frank: You know what? You haven't seen anything yet. Olivia, we're sorry. Please. Please continue on with your toast.
Olivia: Well, how could anyone watch how Frank is with Natalia and not be overjoyed for her? She has someone who will take care of her and protect her, and do everything in his power to make her happy. She has someone that is everything she ever thought she wanted. Someone who will love her the way she deserves to be loved. To the happy couple.
Billy: Hey!
Matt: Happy couple.
Josh: To the happy couple.
(Cell phone beeps)
Billy: Oh, oh, wait. Incoming text message, all right. Let's see here. Hey, Reva’s about to have her baby!
Frank: Whoa, what?
Matt: Got it.
Josh: Me, too.
Olivia: Well, isn't technology wonderful?
Natalia: Oh, that's so great.
Frank: It is.
Billy: Thanks for inviting us.
Olivia: Yeah, yeah.
Billy: Good luck, Frank.
Frank: Hey, Josh, thank you for coming. Appreciate it. Thank you, Billy.
Matt: Natalia, listen. If, you know, you have any problems out of him at all, I mean, you know...
Frank: What are you doing? Get out of here. You know what? I am never letting her go.
Matt: Congratulations.
Natalia: Thanks.
Frank: Take care, buddy.
Matt: Congratulations.
Frank: All right.
Matt: I'll see you, pal.
Frank: Thank you.
Matt: Bye. Thank you.
Dinah: Maybe I could... I don't know. No, that’s... that's not going to work. You know what? I just... I need something. I need... I need... okay, you know what? I've got it. I've got it.
Shayne: What? Tell me.
Dinah: You make a public arrest, a citizens arrest, they take me in, you speak to the police, and then... um...
Shayne: And then what?
Dinah: I don't know.
Shayne: You don't know.
Dinah: I don't know. I don't know, and I, I, you, I need your help on this. You haven't helped me at all! You have no idea.
Shayne: I don't know what you're trying to accomplish here, really, to be honest with you.
Dinah: I need closure. I need closure. I need to pay for my part in Lizzie’s kidnapping, and I need people to know that I'm sorry, and then we could just all move on.
Shayne: Oh, just move on?
Dinah: Yes.
Shayne: Just... just like that?
Dinah: Yes, why not? Why not?
Shayne: Okay.
Dinah: You know what? I got it.
Shayne: What?
Dinah: I got it.
Shayne: What are you doing?
Dinah: I got an idea.
Shayne: Where... where are you going?
Dinah: You'll know in two seconds.
Shayne: I'm worried about you. (Cell phone rings) Oh my God. Jeffrey? Hey, it's Shayne. No, no, no, no. I just got the message. Listen, I'm... I'm on my way, all right? I'll see you in a minute.
Mel: You know, we could've discussed this inside.
Dinah: Uh... well.... I really only want to explain it once, but Shayne’s not out here.
Mel: No, I don't see him.
Dinah: Okay, well then I'll just tell you, then. I need to file a lawsuit.
Mel: Okay. Who do you want to sue?
Dinah: Myself.
Mallet: Hmm! Henry's sleeping while we're awake. (Cell phone rings) Sh! Shh.
Marina: Oh!
Mallet: What?
Marina: It's a text message from Jeffrey. Reva's in labor.
Mallet: Wow. Wow. Well, at least we won't be the only ones in Springfield not having sex anymore.
Jeffrey: Okay, here... here it is. Another one's coming.
Reva: Yeah, I know it's coming. I'm the one that can feel it!
Jeffrey: Okay, so, just... you know, well, just... just...
Reva: Breathe! Jeffrey, breathe, yeah.
Jeffrey: And then we'll wait for the doctor to say, "push."
Reva: Yeah, yeah, okay. Oh, my God. Oh, my God!
Doctor: Push.
Reva: Okay, okay.
Doctor: Come on.
Reva: (Screaming) Oh! Yah!
Jeffrey: Okay. That was good, Reva! That was good, right? Now we'll just... we'll just... we'll wait for the next one.
Reva: Yeah, we'll wait. We'll wait? Uh-huh.
Jeffrey: I'm not going anywhere.
Reva: Yeah, yeah, you are. Yeah, you are.
Jeffrey: Okay, okay. Here it comes. Now breathe.
Reva: Oh, no. Stop, stop, stop. Stop breathing, stop hovering around me. You're going some place else.
Jeffrey: Okay. Where should I go?
Doctor: Why don't you come down here and take a look at your son?
Reva: (Moaning)
Jeffrey: Is that his head?
Doctor: That's his head.
Jeffrey: Oh, my God! That's his head!
Doctor: He's crowning. One more good push.
Jeffrey: Oh, my God, Reva! That’s... that's our son! It's our baby. It's a little person! It's my little person!
Reva: It's my little person!
Jeffrey: (Laughing)
Reva: (Screaming)
Billy: Oh, Edmund. You're not here for Reva, are you?
Edmund: No, no. Sociopaths Anonymous. I never miss a meeting.
Billy: Oh, uh...
Edmund: Drove her to the hospital.
Billy: Hey, that's great. Great. Well, so how's she doing?
Edmund: Well, as far as I know, everything's proceeding normally.
Billy: Have you been through many of these?
Edmund: No, no. This is my first.
Billy: Well, you might want to sit down, because these things tend to take a little time.
Josh: Uh, Reva doesn't like these.
Matt: Well, actually, these are for Jeffrey, and those are for me.
Josh: Oh. Oh. Well, if I know Reva, Jeffrey probably needs a ton of aspirin right about now.
Matt: Probably so. You want me to drop those flowers off for you?
Josh: No. No, I'll take them.
Matt: You're going to go to the hospital?
Josh: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, not right now. I want to give them their, you know, time.
Matt: You okay?
Josh: Yes.
Matt: Okay.
Josh: I'm fine. I've had a lot of time to think about this, and, I mean, you know, I love Reva, and of course I love being a dad, but I also like this place that I'm in right now. I'm not responsible for anybody but me, and my time is my own, and I've never had that before, ever.
Matt: Sounds miserable.
Buzz: So... looks like you're on your own again.
Olivia: Yup.
Buzz: Are you okay with that?
Olivia: Are you okay with Frank leaving the nest?
Buzz: (Laughs) What do you think?
Olivia: I think you're happy that your kid's happy.
Buzz: I'm just happy anyone's in love with anybody. You're going to miss her, aren't you?
Olivia: Yeah. She’s... she's my friend.
Buzz: You two were awfully good for each other.
Olivia: Who knew?
Buzz: I mean, sometimes who ends up with who, it just seems like a roll of the dice.
Olivia: Except it's not. It's about choices, isn't it?
Natalia: Frank, you can take these leftovers and bring them to the guys at the station.
Frank: Are you kidding me? Oh, my God, the guys are going to love you. Thank you. I don't want to go home. I want to stay here, right with you. The evening's young. Come on, we can go out. We can go dancing.
Natalia: Dancing?
Frank: Yeah! Or you know what? We can go to the park. We can go to the park, sit in the gazebo, and just count the stars and wait for the sun to come up. What do you say?
Natalia: Frank, I just have to get up really early with Emma, and I do not want to leave such a big mess for Olivia to clean up by herself.
Frank: Well, then I'll help you clean up.
Natalia: No, you're not going to help me clean up!
Frank: Yeah!
Natalia: No!
Frank: Okay, I understand. Will you do me a favor?
Natalia: Yeah.
Frank: Will you call me right before you go to sleep?
Natalia: I will.
Frank: Okay.
Natalia: Frank?
Frank: Yeah?
Natalia: I'm a really lucky woman to be so loved.
Dinah: It's really straightforward, right?
Mel: Actually, it's a little wacky.
Dinah: What, you don't think I have a civil case?
Mel: What would you sue yourself for?
Doris: Oh, sorry. I didn't think anyone would be out here.
Dinah: Doris, I'm glad you're here. Look, I get that the city is not ready to press charges, but I think I have figured out a way to give full restitution to everyone without causing the city any trouble.
Doris: And what way would that be?
Dinah: I am going to sue myself on behalf of the citizens of Springfield, for-- what is it called when you put people through a lot?
Mel: Pain and suffering.
Dinah: Pain... exactly. Pain and suffering. I'm going to sue myself on behalf of the citizens of Springfield for public pain and suffering when I assisted in the kidnapping of Lizzie Spaulding.
Doris: I think it's probably legal.
Mel: And one way or another, you'll win.
Dinah: Mm-hmm.
Mallet: Uh-huh. Right. Can I... can I say something here?
Dinah: Absolutely. Go ahead.
Mallet: How is that going to help you?
Dinah: I'll sue myself. When I win or lose-- whichever way you want to look at it-- I'll pay myself a big, fat check, then take that money and donate it to charity.
Doris: I got it. Kind of like a public gesture.
Dinah: Exactly. That way, people will see that I am sorry, and we can all move on.
Marina: You know, it's actually not a bad idea.
Mallet: Really?
Marina: Really, actually. Really. And if you need someone to testify on your behalf, you can always call me.
Mallet: You're going to testify?
Marina: Well, yeah. Aren't you?
Mallet: Maybe we should have gone to visit Reva at the hospital.
Edmund: Hey.
Shayne: Hey.
Edmund: Uh, Jeffrey just went back into the delivery room. It should be any minute now.
Shayne: Okay.
Edmund: Oh, you're wondering what I'm doing here.
Shayne: Yeah, that crossed my mind.
Edmund: Well, I was, I was there when your mother went into labor, and I drove her to the hospital.
Shayne: You drove her here?
Edmund: Yes, well, it was show time, you know? It was a bit harrowing, but we made it.
Shayne: Oh, thank... thank you. I'm glad that you were there for her. Thank you.
Edmund: Well, you're welcome.
Shayne: Well, talk to me. I mean, how long has she been in the room? What's going on?
Edmund: I... I don't know...
Shayne: Is she sick? Is she feeling okay?
Edmund: She's Reva! I'm sure everything's going to be fine.
Shayne: Okay.
Billy: Shayne, Reva’s going to be fine. I think the person you've got to worry about here is Jeffrey.
Reva: (Grunting)
Jeffrey: Okay, Reva... he's almost there, okay? He's, he's going to be beautiful, Reva.
Doctor: Okay, next big wave. One big push, and I think we're home.
Reva: (Grunting)
Jeffrey: You can do it, you can do it.
Reva: (Screaming)
Doctor: Almost there, and he's out.
Reva: (Screams) Oh!
Jeffrey: Reva? Look, there he is. There's our, our son.
Reva: Why isn't he making any noise?
Jeffrey: Is there something wrong?
Doctor: You're okay.
Reva: Why isn't he crying?
Jeffrey: Reva, just give him a chance. Give him a chance.
Reva: Something's-- what's he doing?
Jeffrey: I don't know.
Reva: What's going on, and what's wrong with the...
Jeffrey: Just hang on, okay?
Reva: Something's wrong with him, isn't it? Something's wrong. Is something wrong?
Jeffrey: What is it?
Reva: Something's wrong, isn't it? I knew it! I knew something was going to be wrong. I knew it! (Baby crying) He's okay.
Doctor: He's okay.
Reva: Oh! Oh! (Laughs) Hi! Hi! Oh, look. (Laughs)
Natalia: No, let me do that!
Olivia: Oh, no, I got it.
Natalia: You have done enough already. I'm big, I can...
Olivia: I'm happy to do it. Stop it. I got it.
Natalia: Thank you for that speech.
Olivia: It was nothing.
Natalia: It was not nothing. It meant a lot to me.
Olivia: This party meant a lot to you. I could see that.
Natalia: When you got up and said that you were going to make a toast, I really... I had no idea what you were going to say.
Olivia: Honestly, neither did I.
Natalia: But it was a beautiful speech.
Olivia: I meant every word. More than anything, I just want you to be happy.
Natalia: Thank you.
Olivia: And I would never do anything to get in the way of that. Never.
Dinah: Okay, so will you represent me?
Mel: I'll do it.
Dinah: Oh!
Mel: I don't know why, but why not?
Dinah: Mel, thank you! Thank you!
Mel: Okay, all right.
Doris: Listen, I got Judge Green to cancel this tee time, and he can take your case in about ten minutes.
Dinah: Excellent!
Mel: Ten minutes? We're not going to be ready in ten minutes.
Dinah: No, no, no. Sure we can. Sure we can. Marina, can you call Remy and get him down here to testify for me? Thank you. Thank you. And you know what? I'm going to call Ashlee. I'm going to call Ashlee and get her to get the TV crew down here as soon as possible.
Doris: You know what? I'm going to get some more lipstick on. See you guys inside.
Dinah: Doris, thank you.
Marina: Don't say a word. I know that this is... weird that I'm on Dinah’s side.
Mallet: Shouldn't there be some repercussion for, you know, part of the kidnapping?
Marina: Yeah, Mallet. Yeah, I think there should be, and I think that there will be. Dinah's going to pay.
Dinah: Ash? It's me.
Ashlee: Hey, boss. What's up?
Dinah: Hey. Can you get a film crew down here right away? Tell them I'm working on a big story, and I want to roll it into the evening news.
Ashlee: Right-oh, Chief.
Dinah: Okay. Oh, and tell the art department to make one of those big, fat checks they give out in the magazine sweepstakes.
Ashlee: For how much?
Dinah: You know what? That's going to be for the court to decide. See you later.
Reva: He's here. He's finally here. He's got you! Look at him. Look at him.
Jeffrey: He's incredible. And so are you.
Reva: Yes, you five fingers. I've waited a very long time to see you, little boy. I have. Oh, look at him. Look at you. That's your daddy. Do you see your daddy? That's your daddy right there. He's a tough guy. But looking at him right now, you'd never believe it.
Jeffrey: You know, if I didn't believe in such things, I would call you a miracle.
Reva: Well, I'm not afraid to say it.
Jeffrey: We made it. You did it, Reva.
Doctor: I'm sorry to interrupt, but we're going to need to take the baby down to the nursery, run a few standard tests.
Reva: What kind of tests?
Doctor: Oh, nothing to worry about. Just height and weight. Be back as soon as we can. That's all.
Reva: Well, I don't want to let him go.
Jeffrey: Neither do I.
Reva: I just want a few more minutes with him, please? Just a little bit longer, because once I have my treatments, I won't be able to be around him.
Doctor: Okay, I can do that.
Reva: I'm going to hold onto him like this for as long as I can. Hi. (Laughs)
Billy: Hey, I'm going to go get some coffee.
Shayne: Yes, please.
Nurse: Excuse me, are you Reva’s family?
Shayne: Yes, I'm her son. Is she okay? What's going on in there?
Nurse: It's a boy.
Shayne: What do you mean? It's like... he's out? Wait, he's out? He's born?
Nurse: Everything is just fine.
Shayne: She's okay, he's okay?
Nurse: Everything's great. Congratulations.
Shayne: Thank you.
Nurse: Sure.
Shayne: (Laughs) Oh, she did it. I can't believe she really did it, Ed.
Edmund: It's amazing.
Shayne: You know, I didn’t... this moment didn't feel like it was real until right now. Just... I think about everything that she's gone through to get here, and...
Edmund: Congratulations. You're a Godfather.
Shayne: I am? I am. I am. I am. Wow. Wow, it’s... I can't wait to meet this kid. I mean, I should buy him something, right? But I mean, what do you, what do you get for a baby? I mean... I mean, it's not like he's really going to know, anyway. But I should get him something, right? I'm sorry. I'm sorry, is this...
Edmund: No, no. It's okay, it's okay. A child's a blessing.
Shayne: I'm sorry if I'm bringing up something that makes you miss her.
Edmund: No, Shayne. It’s... it's more than that. It’s... it's just something I could've been a part of, that's all.
Shayne: I'm not following you. How do you mean?
Edmund: Shayne, there's something I need to tell you about Lara.
Shayne: What?
Edmund: There's something I didn't tell you about when I first met her.
Shayne: What are you talking about?
Edmund: You know, maybe this isn't the right time.
Shayne: No, hold on. Hold on. What do you mean, not the right time? Not the right time for what?
Edmund: Shayne, when Lara came to find me, she...
Shayne: She what, Edmund? She what?
Edmund: She was pregnant.
Judge: Marler vs. Marler. I take it this is a divorce proceeding?
Mel: No, your Honor, it's a civil lawsuit.
Judge: Well, then, can the plaintiff please rise?
Dinah: Your Honor, I am the plaintiff, Dinah Marler. I'm suing on behalf of the people of Springfield for public pain and suffering.
Judge: And the defendant?
Dinah: That would also be me, your Honor. I am suing myself.
Olivia: I thought you could use one of those. I certainly needed one.
Natalia: Thank you. Thank you for the party. It was really great, and I know Frank was really happy to get his friends out here.
Olivia: I didn't invite those guys. Billy Lewis can smell a meal a mile away! That's bad. He seems pretty happy, though.
Natalia: Yeah, it was such a good time.
Olivia: Good.
Natalia: It's just a little scary, though. Yeah, makes everything a little real. Father Ray was there, and people were toasting us.
Olivia: That's what happens when you get engaged.
Natalia: It's just a lot of stuff that I haven't really thought about yet. You know, I'm used to getting up, packing Emma’s lunch, going to the Beacon and working, and figuring out our schedules, and then we come home and put Emma to bed, and wake up here. With you.
Olivia: Yeah. I guess we'll both have to get used to a new routine.
The things you thought you'd never do
then found you out caught up with you, you gave it all away...
Reva: You know what, little baby boy? You know what? When you were inside me, you protected me. You made me feel less sick when I was having my treatments, and every time you kicked, and every time you moved, it gave me a reason to keep fighting. You gave me a reason to live. You protected me. Now I'm going to protect you for the rest of my life. Yes, I am.
Coming up on "Guiding Light"...
Judge: Will the defendant/plaintiff please rise?
Shayne: I killed the woman I love, and our unborn child, too.
Christina: How did you meet Grady?
Daisy: He used to sneak into my room, and now he's gone again, and I guess I'm glad?
Christina: You guess?
