Reva: I had my last chemo session today.
Shayne: That's really good news.
Reva: I should feel great, right?
Lara: Think he's going to be surprised when I tell him the news?
Edmund: Would you like to see it?
Reva: Truth is I'm worry that I'm never going to get to meet you.
Shayne: Did you erase the videos that I haven't gotten to see?
Dinah: Yes, I did.
Reva: It really makes me wonder, you know what the world is going to be like, when you're watching this. Like will there even be TV’s then, to watch. Or will it be more like something that gets beamed into your brain. Bet you'd love that. Having your mom talking to you from inside your head. Have they cured cancer yet. Have they finally rid this planet of the son of a bitch disease that robs you of your health and your life, and forces you to stand in front of a camera in case you're not around for your baby boy when-- it's too late for me, anyway. I'm sorry. I'm not going to go there. I'm just not. It's not what these videos were supposed to be for. Just, you know, I finished my last chemo, and I feel like I'm in this dark place right now, and I guess what I want more than anything is for you to know how much I love you. And that I'm really glad you're mine.
(Car engine stops)
Reva: I think your daddy is home.
Jeffrey: Hey.
Reva: Hi.
Jeffrey: What you doing?
Reva: Just making sure the camera is still working right, when the baby comes.
Jeffrey: And?
Reva: It seems fine.
Jeffrey: Okay, good. So you have some free time right now.
Reva: Yeah, guess so, why?
Jeffrey: Because I want to take you somewhere.
Reva: Somewhere?
Jeffrey: Yes, come on.
Reva: (Laughs) where?
Shayne: So I've been trying to call you. Where have you been?
Dinah: Shayne...
Shayne: Dinah, look at me. What in the hell is going on with you?
Dinah: I can't even explain.
Edmund: I tried to find the final, but it's been permanently deleted. The video Lara sent me is gone.
Shayne: Why? Why would you delete that file?
Dinah: I'm so sorry.
Edmund: You shouldn't have, Dinah, you shouldn't have.
Shayne: Do you know what you've taken away from me? You don't, do you? See, Lara’s gone again now for me because of you. You.
Buzz: Just a few more minutes. I don't want to do anything to Alan. I just want to see him. Just a few more minutes.
Mallet: You know, Marina, Reva would understand if we didn't attend this baby shower, you know that, right? I know it's been planned for months, but considering everything you and your family are been through, she would understand if we canceled.
Marina: I think it's good. I think this is a really good thing that it's happening. You know, I think I needed something like this, I think we all do. Something happy. And hopeful. Life's crazy. Coop died, and life goes on, right? I mean it just keeps happening.
Mallet: Yeah.
Marina: Reva's having a baby, someone is. Who knows, maybe the adoption agency will call and tell us we can get our baby. I'm going to go upstairs for a bit.
Lillian: I think Reva and Jeffrey should be here soon.
Blake: Good, because I think we're ready.
Lillian: As ready as any of us can be after the last few days.
Blake: Yeah, but Reva is going to love this.
Lillian: I hope so.
Blake: How's Beth. Is she coming?
Lillian: No, she's not going to come. She's feeling so sad and guilty about Coop. I'm really worried about Buzz, though, you know.
Blake: Is he going to be okay, having the shower here.
Lillian: I think so. He loves Reva.
Lynn: Hey, ladies! What can I do to help?
Blake: I'm so glad you're here, you are our guest today, you're not serving.
Lynn: I don't mind. You know I like to help. Beside there's so much sadness around here, I know, I bet we all could really use this. Thank you, both, so much for including me.
Lillian: Including you, you're family. Are you kidding? You're right about there being so much sadness. I think the whole town needs this. We need a celebration and what's better to celebrate than a baby boy.
Lynn: Hey, I got that for you.
Lillian: Billy, did you see Buzz when you were driving over here?
Billy: No. You want me to look for him?
Lillian: It's so hard to be grieving and having a celebration at the same time.
Billy: Yeah, I know he's just feeling so helpless.
Natalia: Hey.
Olivia: Hi.
Natalia: So cute.
Olivia: Isn't it? They're having a little shower for her today.
Natalia: They have really cute boys. Not so true when Rafe was little.
Olivia: Did somebody throw you a shower when you were pregnant?
Natalia: 16, catholic unmarried? What do you think? How about you?
Olivia: Well, Lizzie tried to knock me down a flight of stairs when I was pregnant with Emma. Does that count?
Natalia: (Laughs) No.
Olivia: Do you want to go? It might be fun-- free food, drinks.
Natalia: I don't have a gift or anything.
Olivia: This can be from the both of us.
Natalia: Okay. I'll change.
Olivia: It's casual. It's at Company, so...
Natalia: It's at Company?
Olivia: Uh-huh.
Natalia: You know, actually, I really can't go.
Hawk: Oh, you are still looking mighty fine.
Lillian: Thank you, Hawk.
Hawk: You ever get tired of old Buzz, give me a call. Like old times. Oh, here. I've got a cell phone now. Call me.
Lillian: Ooh. Reva, there, they're here. Come on.
Reva: Lunch at Company. You sure know how to wow a girl.
Jeffrey: Nothing but the best for my woman.
Reva: Does this mean I get extra pickles on my burger?
Jeffrey: I think we might be able to arrange that.
Reva: Why are you acting so weird?
Jeffrey: Why does everything have to be so complicated. Go in, get in there.
Everybody: Surprise!
Reva: Oh, my God. I think my water broke. I'm kidding! I can't believe you did all this for me.
Hawk: There she is. The prettiest pregnant woman I know.
Reva: Are you ready to be a granddaddy again?
Hawk: I'm ready if you are. How are you feeling?
Reva: I'm fine, I'm good. I'm just really glad to see you.
Hawk: Right back at you, sister.
Reva: What did they do, drag you into this too?
Bill: No, I made the dip.
Reva: You made the dip. What kind of dip?
Billy: So I hear that the nasty chemo is all over.
Reva: Well, that's the rumor.
Billy: Well, good. You're very lucky. This little nugget in here is lucky to have you to protect him.
Reva: It works both ways.
Vanessa: Nice to see you.
Billy: Hey.
Vanessa: Oh, no, you're here! I missed the surprise. Hi, baby. Congratulations.
Reva: Thank you so much for coming.
Vanessa: I wouldn't have missed it for the world. How are you feeling?
Reva: I'm fine. I'm feeling are really good. Jeffrey here is a little worried, but not me.
Vanessa: Oh, don't be worried. Don't be worried. When I was expecting Maureen, it was a little scary, but she arrived, she's great. It's the biggest joy.
Reva: I know, I can't wait to meet this little guy either.
Lillian: Oh, sweetheart, oh, God, I've been so worried about you, I called you all last night. Where were you?
Buzz: I was driving, doing some errands. What's going on in there?
Lillian: It's the baby shower for Reva.
Buzz: I forgot.
Lillian: Of course you forgot. I forgot. But Jeffrey came over and reminded me, she finished her course of chemo and he wants to do something nice for her, so I called Frank and he said it was okay. You don't mind, do you?
Buzz: No, I want her to be happy, I'm happy she's having the baby.
Lillian: Will you come in?
Buzz: I will in a minute.
Olivia: You know if you change your mind...
Natalia: No, I'm good, thank you.
Olivia: I know you don't know Reva that well, but you know the Cooper’s, your practically an honorary member of the family, you've got the t-shirt to prove it, the Company t-shirt.
Natalia: I'm not really that close to them. A lot has changed.
Olivia: Like what?
Natalia: Will you stop asking so many questions. Just really, go have a good time, really, go.
Vanessa: Hey.
Buzz: Thank you for the flowers.
Vanessa: You're welcome. I'm so sorry. Maureen said to tell you how sorry she is.
Buzz: Well, he was a good teacher. You know about him before I did.
Vanessa: Yeah, I did. I remember when Jenna told me that she was carrying your child. She was scared, she was feeling all alone, but she was happy. Really happy. And then she went and named him for the two best men she knew, you and my dad.
Buzz: Must have your dad down too.
Vanessa: Don't be so hard on your self. I think we all do that, I don't know why. But I think that the people that we disappoint the most are the people that we love the most, don't ask me why.
Josh: Hi. I can't stay, but I wanted to bring you a gift.
Reva: Oh, thank you. You know, you've been awfully good through all of this.
Josh: Well, not quite through all of it, but I do think that we're learning that always means a lot of things to you and me. So I hope you have a great time.
Reva: Thank you.
Josh: And Shayne promised he would come by.
Reva: That's great. You could stay. (Cell phone beeps)
Josh: Oh, oh, no, I can't because I'm in --
Reva: Uh-huh.
Josh: I'll talk to you soon.
Reva: Thanks again.
Josh: Have fun.
Edmund: I can't get the file back, I don't know what she did.
Dinah: I didn't mean to hurt you.
Shayne: You know, I forgot that Lara -- you took that away from him, too.
Dinah: He's going to be fine, but you have to get over this after everything you've been through, you can pull yourself out of this. I don't want this to --
Shayne: You're not making any sense to me.
Dinah: It was a threat.
Shayne: Are you jealous? Is that why you deleted the file?
Dinah: You'll never forget about her. I don't want you to forget. I know what it's like to live like that.
Shayne: Then why would you delete the file? Just stop it. I want you out of my life. Okay? Because you of all people should have understood how important it was to me.
Dinah: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Reva: Hi.
Marina: How are you holding up?
Reva: I'm okay, but this is an awful lot for your family to have done for me. But I really appreciate it. Thank you.
Marina: Of course, I think it's good for all of us right now.
Reva: Oh, sorry. Oh, big boy.
Marina: Is he kicking?
Reva: He's having a good old time.
Marina: Could I?
Reva: Of course.
Marina: It's amazing.
Jeffrey: Hey. You're here.
Olivia: Hi. Yeah. I figured, you know, what the heck, good stuff. How are you?
Jeffrey: They're playing a game.
Olivia: Okay, I'll sit out here with you.
Jeffrey: Where's Natalia?
Olivia: What?
Jeffrey: I don't know, I just thought--
Olivia: I thought she --
Jeffrey: Relax.
Olivia: That's easy for you to say. Happy baby stuff. Okay.
Natalia: I'm so sorry I bothered you.
Josh: No, don't be sorry, you rescued me actually, there was something I needed to escape from.
Natalia: I can get a plumber. And that pipe.
Josh: Yeah, I know the pipe you're talking about, I fought a lot of battles with that pipe when I lived here, but I won most of them. Doing a little light reading?
Natalia: Yeah, just looking for some answers.
Josh: Are you finding any?
Natalia: No. More questions.
Josh: That's the way it works sometimes. I'll tell you what, I'll head upstairs, try to fix at least one of your problems, how's that.
Natalia: Thanks.
Dinah: I didn't mean to erase that video.
Edmund: You watched it, didn't you? You saw how far along her pregnancy was.
Dinah: I didn't want Shayne to see that. See that and run to his mother's baby shower, I don't think he could handle that. I'm sorry that I hurt you. I think that's probably the first time I've ever said that. But I know that you loved your daughter. And I'm sorry that you lost that piece of her.
Edmund: Not as sorry as I am. Shayne should know that she was having his baby.
Dinah: No, he shouldn’t.
Edmund: Why not? He's a grown man.
Dinah: Because he is and I probably lost one of the best friends I have. If you care about Shayne, if you cared about Lara, you will keep this to yourself. Shayne just lost Lara for a second time. He's never going to forgive me for that.
Edmund: I know. I know.
Shayne: She's gone.
Edmund: Yeah, she's gone.
Shayne: Yeah, she is. I want to take your computer to a specialist to see if he can retrieve the file.
Edmund: We can do it tomorrow, Shayne.
Shayne: No, not tomorrow. Today. I need to see this file.
Edmund: We can do it tomorrow.
Shayne: Edmund, I need to see her, okay. I have to get this file back. Now.
Edmund: Shayne, you need to be with your mother.
Shayne: No, I don't need -- she'll be fine.
Edmund: Shayne, go be with your family. I'll continue to look for the video.
Marina: Okay.
Mallet: That's going pretty well.
Marina: I felt the baby kick.
Mallet: I saw that.
Marina: Baby's give you hope. We're going to have a baby, too.
Marina: Hey, look who's here.
Mallet: Another man braving the baby shower.
Reva: My other baby, oh, I'm so glad you're here.
Shayne: Of course I'm here, I'm the Godfather of this baby.
Reva: You accepted under pressure.
Shayne: Just a little bit, just a little. I'm glad I did. You know that Lara loves kid. When I met her she was volunteering, helping these babies that had been completely abandoned because of the war. They got no hope, no hope for them at all, probably not going to be adopted by anyone. So I am realizing how lucky that this little guy is, big guy is, and I'm really happy to be his godfather.
Reva: I'm the lucky one. You want to go say hi to your grandpa?
Shayne: Are you okay?
Reva: Are you?
Shayne: No. It's been a rough day. But I'm going to be fine.
Vanessa: Hey, sweetie. Come on in, it's freezing.
Dinah: No, I was just on my way out.
Vanessa: Why?
Dinah: Because I don't think they want me in there.
Vanessa: Why wouldn't they want you in there? Come on.
Dinah: No, I did something to protect Shayne, but it hurt him, and I really, I can't explain why, because it would really just hurt him more.
Vanessa: Sounds like you really care about him.
Dinah: I want to help, he's been through a lot. He's lost the love of his life.
Vanessa: Well, you did too.
Dinah: Yes. But my life is doing very well right now. It's good, that's okay.
Vanessa: I know. What about him? What about Shayne?
Dinah: What about him?
Vanessa: Well, I guess what I'm trying to ask is if you feel as though he might be somebody that you could love. I mean, eventually.
Dinah: I just would like to be his friend for right now, and he might hate me forever, but I helped him, I know that I helped him. But that's okay, you know. You told me that I should think of somebody else. And you were right. You were right, so thank you. Very much.
Vanessa: Sure.
Dinah: Right, I need to go have a... talk to you soon.
Vanessa: Okay. Bye.
Josh: All set.
Natalia: Thank you so much.
Josh: No problem. Are you finding those answers you were looking for?
Natalia: God is laughing at me today.
Josh: I don't think so, I think you're being hard on yourself.
Natalia: I was trying to help out a friend and I did something horrible.
Josh: I'm sure you'll make it up to whoever it is.
Natalia: I don't think so, I'm not feeling like a very good person today.
Josh: You know, I was in the a minister for a very long time, but I think I know a good person when I see one. I'm guessing God is just fine with you, don't worry about it.
Mel: Can I get a club soda, please?
Olivia: That's a good choice. Don't give them anything to talk about behind your back, very safe choice.
Mel: I'm working. Are you in trouble?
Olivia: I don't need a lawyer if that's what you mean.
Mel: How's your health?
Olivia: It's quite good. I should be out enjoying my life right now, but I'm feeling the stare in those people's eyes and whispers behind my back, and I don't like it that much. Normally I don't give a crap about gossip, but it's affecting my kids. And yesterday I tell who I think is a friend something and I think he's making a joke out of it or whatever, and I shouldn't have said anything to him.
Mel: Men.
Olivia: I don't know if there's anyone around here who can understand what I'm going through.
Mel: Why don't you talk to my mom? She's a great therapist.
Olivia: I don't do therapy. You don't get me.
Mel: Okay then. Well, I hope you work out whatever it is that you are working on.
Olivia: Please sit. I'm not finished.
Shayne: The happy couple. How is the adoption process going?
Marina: It's going. We're on the list, so it's just a matter of time.
Mallet: Going well.
Shayne: Good for you.
Mallet: Thank you.
Marina: So I'm going to go check on the guest of honor, it's time to open presents.
Mallet: I overheard you earlier talking about an orphanage in Bosnia.
Shayne: What about it?
Mallet: Just overheard you talking about it. Sounds like it's pretty rough on the kids.
Shayne: It is. Very rough, actually. Good thing that things are different around here, right? And there's good people like you that want to adopt.
Mallet: I'm sure.
Buzz: Hey.
Reva: Buzz. Hi.
Buzz: Sorry I didn't bring a gift.
Reva: You brought your handsome self and that's enough for me. Never. You belong here.
Buzz: I'm not sure I belong anyplace.
Reva: I know it's hard. You wake up in the morning and you're not sure-- maybe you want to go outside and keep running, going somewhere, anywhere. Just keep running.
Buzz: He catches up to you. Well, it was all in fun. I'll be okay. You know that. I'll be okay.
Olivia: So, we lived together and we both help with Emma, and we have fun. And we laugh at our differences. What's the big deal? I've never had girlfriends in my life, why shouldn't she be the important, a important person in my life. What is so wrong with that?
Mel: Nothing. Nothing. But it just sounds like you have stronger feelings for her.
Olivia: What if I do?
Mel: You do.
Olivia: Why do I?
Mel: Why do we fall in love with anyone?
Olivia: You tell me.
Mel: You are asking the wrong person.
Olivia: Why am I talking to you?
Marina: You know, some day, I will have a baby shower, I don't want it to be a surprise.
Mallet: You love surprises.
Marina: I know, but I think there will be enough excitement just bringing a baby home.
Mallet: You amaze me.
Marina: Why? Because I know how to play silly games at a baby shower?
Mallet: No. Because you lost one of the most important people in your life, and you're here.
Marina: I have to be here. Coop would want me to be here. Beside my family needs me, and my grandpa need me, and my dad needs me...
Mallet: I know that you think you have to be strong for everybody else. But if you need to grieve, it's okay.
Marina: Mallet, I'm okay. I have to be.
Mallet: Okay. That kid will be lucky to have you as a mother.
Marina: If we ever get a baby.
Mallet: It will happen. That's going to happen.
Buzz: Thanks for having the party here, thanks for making me stay.
Lillian: I have never been able to make you do anything.
Buzz: You're one of the reasons I wake up in the morning. Not too many of those any more. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I feel like this. You deserve so much more.
Lillian: No, no, no, but I do deserve you. For so long I thought I didn't deserve somebody good and wonderful. But you are a wonderful man.
Buzz: I'm glad Reva’s so happy.
Lillian: Now you're going. Do you want me to come with you?
Buzz: I've got things to do.
Lillian: Will you call me?
Buzz: Yeah.
Jeffrey: All right, well, my first baby shower. How did I do?
Reva: You did great. Okay. It's time to get cracking on the presents.
Jeffrey: Okay. Oh, I forgot the camera in the car, I'll be right back.
Lillian: Okay. How are you holding up?
Reva: I'm good. You know me.
Lillian: I know you and that's why I'm asking you, because you're trying just a little too hard to be happy.
Reva: I am happy. Everybody's been great and Jeffrey... well, he is amazing. Just that there's a couple more days before I get the results of my chemo treatment. And it's really, really scary.
Lillian: I certainly know they're going to be good because we need some good news, right?
Reva: Well, I'll do my best to deliver.
Jeffrey: Camera. Make sure the batteries are working. Okay.
Reva: It's me, your mom.
Just wanted to let you know
that I had my last chemo
session today.
Olivia: Hey.
Natalia: How was the shower?
Olivia: Change of plans.
Natalia: I'm glad you're home.
Dinah: Hello, I need your help. I need to get on a flight to Bosnia. Okay, I'll hold. Yes, I'm here.
Mallet: Yeah, I got that. I got that, flight 2306 from Chicago to Sarajevo. Could I have confirmation number? Okay, got it. Thank you.
Reva: Where is Jeffrey?
Marina: Hey, Jeffrey is here.
Reva: We've been waiting for you.
Jeffrey: Why?
Reva: Because I was just getting ready to make a speech, and Lillian stopped me because she wanted to wait for the camera.
Jeffrey: Okay. Got it right here, that's a good idea. Okay, go ahead.
Reva: I want you all to know how very grateful I am that you're all part of our lives and how lucky this little boy is going to be to have you a part of his life too. Jeffrey and I are very blessed that you'll be having this moment and we're looking forward to a wonderful future because of all of your love and support.
Buzz: I tried, Coop. Right? I tried to put this behind me. But you had too much future and too much life. And now I'm still walking, a little too long.
Natalia: Everything's been a little crazy lately. We haven't had much of a chance to talk, but I've been wanting to talk to you.
Olivia: I don't think I can do that right now. No, because I'm going to just go upstairs and rest.
Next on "Guiding Light",
Reva: Now we can have a normal pregnancy.
Jeffrey: You just said that on camera.
Bill: If you love your daughter, you will work with me.
Lizzie: Granddad, why are you sitting in the dark?
