Previously on "Guiding Light"...
Cassie: Why don't you get Harley back?
Cyrus: Who says this is all about Harley?
Harley: Aced a collection.
Josh: I thought you were working for me. I just need to know the truth. So, please, just think about it, okay?
Harley: I’m spying on one of my best friends.
Cyrus: Which best friend?
Harley: Cassie.
Olivia: You shouldn't wait for a tip. I don't have any money.
Jeffrey: I don't feel good about leaving you alone here.
Olivia: Ava's coming.
Jeffrey: No. She's not going to stay.
Olivia: It's time for me to be on my own.
Jeffrey: You know, Gus never lived here himself.
Olivia: But he wanted to.
Jeffrey: I'm going to come back here every day to check up on you.
Olivia: Don't make me get the garden hose on you. Tell Reva I said thanks for the hospitality.
Josh: No. Hell no.
Reva: Oh, come on. I think you look so cute there.
Josh: Do you, it's not about what I look like. Do you know what this picture is from?
Reva: Yeah. So?
Josh: So that scene is not making it into the movie.
Reva: So you were a little drunk. It's no big deal.
Josh: No, no. You were a little drunk. I was a lot drunk. In fact, I ended up in a drunk tank that night, wearing nothing but my boxer shorts.
Reva: (Laughs) I remember they really liked you in...
Josh: Yeah, they did. It was kind of painful. You know what I'm saying? So, no, that's not going to be in the movie!
Reva: Okay. Okay. I won't tell them that story.
Josh: Hey, you know what would make a good story, though?
Reva: What?
Josh: That drive we took to Oklahoma City.
Reva: Why would that be? Because you look like some big super hero, and I look like the blonde bimbo who nearly blew up the gas station.
Josh: Well, you said you want the film to be honest, right?
Reva: Yeah, uh-huh. Oh, wow, I would love to see the movie Joshua wearing that outfit. (Laughing)
Harley: Absolutely no food in my house, whatsoever. Maybe I should go food shopping. Maybe I should deposit Josh's check first.
Cyrus: Are you sure about this job?
Harley: No. The last thing I want to do is spy on Cassie.
Cyrus: Are you going to make that now?
Harley: I don't have anything else.
Cyrus: Don't just take a job like this for the money.
Harley: I'm not just doing it for the money. Maybe. Josh, Josh is going to hire somebody to find, to find whoever Cassie slept with. He is going to do that. Don't you think it's better if it is me?
Cyrus: Better for them, but what about you? Let me do it. I see Cassie every day. And if the guy is still around, it won't be too hard to figure it out.
Harley: Well, I do have all of these cases I still have to solve, so many cases. Maybe, maybe if I could just finish those, I could actually get back to...
Cyrus: To us? You need to get back to us.
Harley: I was going to say back to normal.
Cyrus: Oh.
Harley: I don't know how normal this would be.
Cyrus: Gus had years with you. I want that. I want that much of you. No less.
Cassie: Hey.
Cyrus: Hey. Is Josh here or R.J.?
Cassie: No. I'm alone. I don't know exactly when Josh is going to come home, and I don't want to give him any further reason to be...
Cyrus: To be suspicious?
Cassie: Yes.
Cyrus: It's, um, a little late for that.
Cassie: What does that mean?
Cyrus: He hired Harley to find out who the guy is.
Cassie: And she agreed to this?
Cyrus: She thought that she could help, and she needs the money.
Cassie: Oh, my God. I thought I was doing the right thing by telling him the truth. I thought that would put an end to this.
Cyrus: Come on, Cassie.
Cassie: I mean, I knew he was going to have a hard time letting go of this, but hiring a P.I.?
Cyrus: I took care of it. I convinced Harley to hand the case over to me.
Cassie: To you?
Cyrus: I'm going to tell Josh that we found the guy. That he doesn't live in town, and it really was just a one-time thing. And then we hope that that's enough for him.
Cassie: How did this happen? How did I get here?
Cyrus: Choices, lousy choices. You know, normally, I wouldn't even stick around to deal with any of this. I'd be long gone.
Cassie: Well, you're still here.
Cyrus: Yup.
Wolfe: Yeah, good luck with those.
Harley: The best part of not working here was not seeing you, Officer Wolfe.
Wolfe: Freeze out in the field lately?
Harley: I'm trying to solve these cases, every one of them, so why don't you run and get me all of Aitoro’s other case files, Officer?
Wolfe: Cousin Doris said I don't have to take orders.
Harley: The mayor doesn't run the police force.
Wolfe: I'll tell her you said that.
Today a moment froze in time just for me
and I look around could you touch me
just a little more it's real
it all can be found in circles made of sand today.
Olivia: I need help.
You never know would it be too much to ask
for all this just to fall in place
for the world I'd give it back the morning
if it was mine 'cause it all comes around
circles made of sand I see the world from here.
Reva: Jolene is going to love all of these pictures.
Josh: Why is that not comforting?
Josh: Oh, my! Hawk?
Hawk: Executive Producer Hawk Shayne.
Reva: I forget to mention that Pop's gone Hollywood.
Hawk: Call me. Let me take you all out for dinner. Carson gave me his platinum credit card.
Josh: (Laughs) Well, actually, I have to go.
Hawk: I've got some business ideas. See, these Hollywood people think they're all slick. But you give them something authentic, they go nuts. So I figure, we show them the cabin, the farmhouse, they gonna want to shoot here, you know. We can squeeze more money out of them.
Josh: Okay. Okay. I'm going to pass. I need to get back to Cassie.
Reva: Is everything okay?
Josh: Yeah. Everything is fine. We just have plans, that's all.
Reva: Well, thanks for everything.
Josh: You're welcome. No drunk tank.
Reva: Scout's honor.
Jolene: Joshua.
Josh: (Laughs) Excuse me.
Reva: Don't do that.
Sun seen unkept secrets of things
we have in mind but never said a word.
Harley: Well, do you think if we push this table back, we could fit some more people here?
Manager: Not a problem. Let me make a note of it.
Reva: Hey.
Harley: Hey.
Reva: What are you doing? Planning a party?
Harley: I'm actually scouting locations for a fund-raiser. Gus had this plan to make a boys' club for kids at risk.
Reva: Oh. I think that's a great idea.
Harley: I do, too. How are you?
Reva: I'm good. I'm good. Oh, I'm so glad I ran into you. Did Daisy say anything to you about the movie?
Harley: What movie?
Reva: The movie. The movie.
Harley: No.
Reva: There are these Hollywood types who have shown up in town who seem to think that my life would make this fabulous movie.
Harley: Are you serious?
Reva: No. It's frightening. (Laughs) I'm serious, though. And I told Daisy-- she wants to work on it-- and I told her I had to check it with you first. It might be a great idea. She could make some extra money for college.
Harley: Oh, I guess Daisy didn't tell you she doesn't plan to go to college.
Reva: Oh, okay.
Harley: It's not okay with me.
Reva: Well, this might be perfect, a little grunge work over the summer may get her to change her mind.
Harley: Maybe. (Laughs) That's a good idea. She can spend time with her family.
Reva: That's right.
Harley: Speaking of which, um... how is Cassie? I just haven't talked to her in a while.
Reva: She's fine, I guess.
Harley: You know, with Will, and she's back to work now, full time. I just feel out of touch with her.
Reva: Well, you know Cassie and I haven't been all that close lately either. So...
Harley: Yes. Of course. Anyway, you get that back to me. I'll check in with that. Thank you. And I better get some tickets to your big movie.
Reva: Oh, you'll be front row soon.
Harley: I know.
Reva: All right sweetie pie, good to see you. I need a drink.
Cassie: Olivia?
Olivia: Thank you very much.
Cassie: I didn't know you were moving back in.
Olivia: Reva came back.
Cassie: She kicked you out?
Olivia: No, no. I left. It's time, I just need to get back to my life, to work. Speaking of which, is that payroll? I'd love to look at it.
Cassie: Why? You don't trust me either?
Olivia: Huh?
Cassie: You know, I don't need you to checkup on me. I know what I'm doing.
Olivia: I'm not. I'm not checking up. I'm just bored.
Cassie: I'm sorry. Are you going to be okay in here? Do you want me to call Ava or anyone?
Olivia: No, I'm fine. I just need to sit down for a bit.
Cassie: Okay.
Reva: Hey.
Jeffrey: Hey.
Reva: What's wrong?
Jeffrey: I spilled some coffee on my shirt.
Reva: No, no, no, no, no. Not that. It's the quiet. Where's our friend?
Jeffrey: She left.
Reva: Because of me? It is, because of me, right? Because I tried so hard, even considering the fact that it's Olivia.
Jeffrey: She said, she said it's time, okay? And Olivia does what she wants.
Reva: Would it be rude to dance?
Jeffrey: Well, if that makes you happy.
Reva: I wish her well, I do. Just some place else.
Jeffrey: Here, help me out. It's better when you do it.
Reva: I like it better when I unbutton them.
Jeffrey: Well, that is very tempting, but I must say I've got some things to do. But, you know what? Tonight, we'll have the whole place to ourselves.
Reva: Hmm, that sounds nice.
Jeffrey: Some steaks, champagne, and me cooking.
Reva: That sounds good. You're on. (Laughs)
Jeffrey: (Laughs)
Josh: Hi.
Cassie: Hi.
Josh: Sorry that took so long.
Cassie: That's okay. Where'd you go?
Josh: I was at the church. Are we still... are we still going out tonight, the date night thing?
Cassie: Well, I sent Daisy home. You said you were going to call, and I didn't know where you were.
Josh: So we're going to stay in then?
Cassie: So is this going to be it?
Josh: What do you mean?
Cassie: I mean, is there ever going to come a time when you're going to be able to forgive me?
Josh: I don't know, Cassie, but I'm trying. I really am.
Olivia: Just a minute. Beautiful flowers.
Reva: Good. I'm glad you like them.
Olivia: I thought you'd be celebrating.
Reva: Yeah, well, that comes later. Why did you leave?
Olivia: It's time.
Reva: That's it?
Olivia: Yeah. It's kind of disappointing, huh? Look, I was dying, Jeffrey was there for me. He was good to me.
Reva: So you're just going to let him go, just like that?
Olivia: The secret? I think he likes you. And I need something real. I need something of my own. And now it's time to find it, or die trying.
Reva: That's not funny.
Olivia: I'm not joking. Okay?
Reva: Okay.
Olivia: Thanks for the flowers.
Reva: You got it.
Jeffrey: Hello, Lillian.
Lillian: Hi.
Jeffrey: You look very pretty today.
Lillian: Well, thank you. That's so nice of you.
Jeffrey: You know what? I was wondering something: Do you ever do any private nursing work?
Lillian: No. I mean, if I had a friend who was sick. Do you have a friend who is sick? Oh, tell me it's not Reva.
Jeffrey: No, no. It's not Reva. It's somebody who recently had a heart transplant.
Lillian: (Laughs) Absolutely not.
Jeffrey: Don't think about Olivia. Thank about Emma, Lizzie’s sister. That little girl needs her mother, Lillian.
Lillian: You are shameless.
Cassie: Great. Well, then I'll just pick him up a little later. Okay. Thank you very much. Bye.
Josh: So we can still have our night alone.
Cassie: Is that what you want? (Knock on the door)
Josh: Come in.
Jolene: Hello?
Josh: Come in.
Jolene: Hi, Joshua.
Cassie: Did you just call him Joshua?
Jolene: You must be Reva’s sister. I'm Jolene Bowles. I was just expecting to talk to Josh, but this is even better.
Josh: Jolene is the actress who is going to be playing Reva. This is not a good time.
Jolene: I'll just be a minute. I promise.
Cassie: Can I get you something to drink? Maybe some iced tea?
Jolene: That would be great.
Josh: Just a second.
Cassie: Do you like anything in your tea?
Jolene: Is it pre-sweetened?
Cassie: I'll give you some sugar.
Jolene: Actually, if you have any artificial... sugar's fine.
Josh: This is hard for me. Okay? Can we just, can we talk about it another time?
Cassie: When will we do that? During our romantic dinner?
Josh: Cassie...
Cassie: Here you go.
Jolene: Thank you.
Josh: Actually, you know what? You're going to have to come back another time. And when you do, I would appreciate it if you would call first.
Jolene: Well, I only have a few questions.
Josh: They can wait.
Jolene: It was really nice to meet you.
Cassie: You, too. Yeah. Well, she doesn't seem a lot like Reva to me.
Josh: Well, evidently she can turn it on when she wants to, whatever that means.
Cassie: Love to see that.
Josh: I'm going to go out and pick up some food and bring it back for us.
Cassie: Well, I could cook.
Josh: See you later.
Daisy: Hey.
Harley: Is that an "R" or a "T"?
Daisy: That's an "N". Is this all of Gus' stuff?
Harley: These are the cases he was working on.
Daisy: It looks like a lot of work.
Harley: It's a lot of work.
Daisy: So I guess you don't want to go shopping. There's a big sale at the mall?
Harley: Do you need new clothes for your new job?
Daisy: Oh, Reva told you. Are you okay with it?
Harley: Honey, I just don't want to fight with you.
Daisy: All right, then let me work on the movie.
Harley: Do it. That's fine, that's fine. I'm just saying, it's the least of it for me. I'm more worried about you after summer.
Daisy: No kidding.
Harley: What is that word?
Daisy: "Out."
Harley: Oh, "out." Well, then that makes sense now, doesn't it?
Daisy: Yes.
Harley: I just want you to be happy. That's what's important, right.
Daisy: What else is there, right?
Harley: I don't know.
Daisy: Hey, you know what I want to do this summer, I mean besides working on the movie? I want to travel all through Europe.
Harley: Wow! Fun. Can we talk about that later?
Daisy: Yeah. I mean, I was going to try to convince Ashlee to go with me, but what if we made it a family vacation? You, me, Zach and Jude, we go all over the place and stay in cheap places, and we have fun.
Harley: I just love it that you think something like that is actually possible.
Daisy: It is. Come on, be spontaneous!
Harley: Spontaneous? I love that about you.
Daisy: It also drives you a little crazy.
Harley: It drives me real crazy. But, wow, the thought of spending the summer traveling with you and the boys. Oh, that would be a dream.
Daisy: Well, it doesn't have to be Europe. I know you have bills. I just think that you should do something nice for yourself, you know? Gus would want that. Have some fun.
Harley: Hi.
Olivia: Ava, I don't want a nurse. You should have talked to me first. How many are coming over? All right, but the next time you want to do something nice for me, don't, please. Bye. So, Laurie, how long have you been nursing?
Laurie: Everything you need to know is right there.
Olivia: Okay.
Laurie: I work an eight-hour day. No overtime, no exceptions. Now, let's talk about my vacation schedule.
Olivia: Well, Patrice, your credentials are excellent. And you haven't even asked me for vacation yet. I like that.
Patrice: Oh, no, no. I'm saving all my money for my wedding. It's in a year. I've got so much to do. I love weddings, don't you? (Knock on the door)
Olivia: I'm done. Go away! Jeffrey?
Jeffrey: Olivia.
Olivia: Oh, no.
Lillian: Oh, Olivia. Yes, it is. It's so nice that you and I are going to have such a nice chance to get to know each other.
Jeffrey: You already hired a nurse?
Olivia: No. Ava sent a bunch over, and they were all disasters.
Lillian: I bet.
Olivia: I heard that.
Lillian: Well, isn't it nice your ears work. At least that's one body part we don't have to worry about.
Jeffrey: Look at that rapport. It's great. Now, I just have one thing to say to both of you, all right? Emma.
Olivia: That's not fair.
Jeffrey: You're doing this for Emma. Let me know if she gets out of hand.
Lillian: Ha. Why don't I check on your meds schedule, and then I'll be happy to, um, change the dressing on your wound.
Olivia: You keep your hands to yourself. If you're going to work for me, I need you to be useful. There's a pile of clothes in the other room. I need you to go to the laundry and then go to the store.
Lillian: You know, um... I was a nurse in the war in Vietnam, and I saw some awful things, but everybody was a lot braver than you. You should be ashamed. I'll say hi to Buzz for you.
Reva: I had no idea that this shopping trip was going to be for you.
Jolene: Well, I would just like to see how you think, what you like and what you don't like.
Reva: Well, you did get to see me almost punch out that guy for stealing my parking space.
Jolene: That was brilliant.
Reva: Yeah, well, what would have been brilliant was if I actually hit him. (Laughs)
Jolene: Are there any vintage stores around here? I really want to work on your look from the '80s.
Reva: Vintage? (Laughs)
Jolene: (Laughs)
Reva: Is that what I sound like?
Jolene: I don't know. You tell me. (Laughs)
Reva: (Laughs)
Josh: You know what, this right here, this...
Reva: I know, it's really scary.
Josh: Yeah, a little bit. A little bit.
Jolene: Oh, I'm sorry about barging in before. I just get caught up in the research part. But now that I have you both here, I have to ask: How weird is it that you married sisters, and does it bother you?
Josh: You know what, it's not what you think, okay?
Jolene: But still, he's the father of your children, and he's with your sister. I mean, that is like the worst version of the other woman I've ever heard.
Reva: Yes, but Josh is right, it's not like you think.
Josh: Thank you.
Reva: He was with many other women.
Josh: Reva!
Jolene: But not women that he married.
Reva: Oh, no. Sure, he married quite a few of them. But the important thing is that he always comes back to me.
Josh: Could we not talk about this, please?
Reva: Well, you said that I just couldn't mention the drunk tank. You didn't say anything about ex-wives.
Jolene: Drunk tank?
Josh: Excuse us, excuse us. Reva, what are you doing?
Reva: Well, I just want her to understand the history.
Josh: The history? Reva, Cassie, Cassie is my wife.
Reva: You're current wife.
Josh: Well, what about you, Reva, huh? You've been married, you've been married to a number of other men. Why don't you talk about that?
Reva: I will. But at least I own who I am. (Laughs)
Harley: Wow.
Cyrus: Yeah. It's the maid's day off.
Harley: Well, by all means, don't pick up on my account.
Cyrus: Hey.
Harley: Um... I just came to tell you that I ran into, um... Reva, Cassie’s sister.
Cyrus: And?
Harley: She doesn't know anything.
Cyrus: Right. So, um... you came all the way over here to tell me that you have nothing about a case that you're not even working on?
Harley: Yeah. Ah.
Cyrus: Wow. Why don't you tell me that you want to see me?
Harley: Because it doesn't make any sense. Because when I'm... not with you, all I'm thinking about is being with you. And when I am with you, I'm thinking about Gus.
Cyrus: Yeah, I know that.
Harley: I keep going back to what you said earlier, about me being fabulous, but also about that Gus and I have this history. We do, we have all of this history.
Cyrus: We have a little history of our own.
Harley: Yeah, but... we... our beginning was so wrong. You know, we hurt people. So I was thinking, maybe we should start over?
Cyrus: Start over?
Harley: Yeah. You know, just see what this is and see if it's right or wrong or somewhere in the middle.
Cyrus: And how do we do that?
Harley: Well, we go slow, and we talk, with our clothes on.
Cyrus: Okay.
Harley: You can take me to dinner.
Cyrus: Oh, so you mean date?
Harley: Yeah. Yeah.
Olivia: No, don't put me on hold again. I need you to pick up my... daughter.
Harley: You probably thought you were going to get away with it, didn't you? After you heard that Aitoro had died? But he's actually the reason that I was able to catch you, because it was all in his notes, your route, who you sold to, everything. And the only reason he didn't bust you himself is because he knew you had a bigger deal coming down.
Sanders: I want my attorney.
Harley: I'm sure you do. Oh, Officer Wolfe, perfect timing. This is a friend of mine. Milo Sanders. Unfortunately, he is under arrest. So I'm going to need you to take him down to the holding cell. Can you find that? Much obliged.
Got to find some answers know if this is real
some simple explanation to tell me what I feel
something strange in these emotions
few things that are new so I really need someone
to tell my heart the truth what if it's real
what if it's beautiful but this is my best guess.
Cyrus: Anything good in there?
Josh: I was just looking for a certain... passage. How are you?
Cyrus: I'm helping Harley with the case.
Josh: Oh. I didn't realize that a...
Cyrus: She's, she's really uncomfortable about investigating her best friend. I have more distance. And I work for Cassie, so it's easier for me.
Josh: Okay.
Cyrus: Are you sure you want this?
Josh: If it's about the guy that... it's okay. Tell me.
Cyrus: He was a guest for one night at the Beacon. He's not from here. He lives in Chicago. He's an insurance agent. He has never been here before or since.
Josh: What's his name?
Cyrus: Chris Boyle. Listen, don't let this torture you. For what it's worth, I've seen Cassie at work. She's committed to you.
Reva: I understand Jolene came by.
Cassie: She did. She did. She's very sweet.
Reva: Yes, she is. Kind of strange that she's playing me, huh?
Cassie: I didn't say that.
Reva: Yeah, but you were thinking it.
Cassie: So what period of life do you think they are going to cover in this movie?
Reva: Who knows? I don't think they have the budget for San Cristobel, though. (Laughs)
Jeffrey: Get in here and kiss me, baby.
Hawk: No, thanks.
Jeffrey: I thought you were Reva.
Hawk: She said I could stay here while the movie shoots, and I would love some champers. Hmm. A little flat.
Jolene: Listen, Carson, I know you've been having some trouble with this script, figuring out the story. Is it Reva’s triumph over cancer, or is it the rags-to-riches rise from nothing? But, I'm telling you, I know what it is now. It's a love story. No, no, not her and the D.A. Josh. Reva and Joshua. That's the movie.
Olivia: Hi, it's me. I need your help.
Coming up on "Guiding Light,"
Lizzie: Perfect man to blend family business.
Ava: By sharing little secrets about Alan. You are helping him. They said, "Smashing Spaulding to smithereens."
Lizzie: He would never do that.
Bill: Good morning, everyone.
