Previously on "Guiding Light"...
Jonathan: We're better together than we are apart. Will you marry me?
Lizzie: I can't say I do. You can't just kidnap me.
Jonathan: You walked out of our wedding. You put my kid at risk. I couldn't trust you then, and I can't trust you now. It's you and me, kiddo.
Daisy: I like this.
Harley: What?
Daisy: I like doing this.
Harley: Cleaning? Where is my daughter and what have you done with her?
Daisy: No. I like spending time with you. I feel like we hardly see each other.
Harley: We see each other. We just got our nails done together, remember?
Daisy: That was weeks ago. That was Gus and Natalia’s wedding-- oh, sorry.
Harley: No, that's okay. Really, I'm okay with that.
Daisy: Oh, gross, that's not mine.
Harley: I'm so embarrassed. Do you think I'm a terrible person?
Daisy: I think you're a terrible housekeeper. Because Gus moved out, like, months ago.
Harley: Gus moved out months ago. I know. I'm going to throw these away.
Daisy: The bra, too.
Harley: No, no. Just these.
Daisy: Won't Gus want them back?
Harley: No, Gus does not want them back. Hey, can you vacuum up the dust bunnies?
Gus: I came up with a little something to help you pass the time. Come here. I downloaded a bunch of shows.
Olivia: These are all the shows I watch.
Gus: Yeah, I couldn't sleep. I was snooping around and I recorded what you tape and what you like.
Olivia: Sorry about the couch. It's lumpy.
Gus: Yeah, you're telling me its lumpy?
Olivia: Well, next time you can share my bed.
Gus: Oh, really?
Olivia: I'm kidding.
Nurse: We're ready.
Gus: I recorded one of my shows on there, too. He's a vampire.
Olivia: I love vampires.
(Cell phone rings)
Gus: Hello.
Natalia: That's what I needed.
Gus: What?
Natalia: To here your voice, I miss you.
Gus: I miss you, too.
Reva: I hope it's still warmed up. The walk was cold and my ears are still cold. See?
Jeffrey: That's what you're going to tell me, about your walk with Cassie, it was cold.
Reva: I wasn't dressed properly.
Jeffrey: You called me and told me you were lost with Cassie, and you wanted to punch her in the face.
Reva: I still want to punch her in the face. She needs it. I need it.
Jeffrey: But you didn't?
Reva: No. You proud of me? It got ugly, but I think we were able to work through some things.
Jeffrey: With no referees?
Reva: Yeah.
Jeffrey: That's good. Maybe you can play nice after all.
Reva: Things could get worse before they get better.
Cassie: So I think things are good, or at least better. I think we turned a corner.
Josh: You and Reva worked things out?
Cassie: Well, not everything. It's hard to have your sister tell you she hates you and that you're ruining everyone's life.
Josh: You can't judge yourself on what Reva says. You know that.
Cassie: That's okay. I said some pretty rotten things to her, too. But I think saying it out loud and hearing how petty it all sounds. I think we realized we just can't do it anymore.
Josh: Do what?
Cassie: Fight.
Josh: You and Reva somehow decided you're not going to fight anymore?
Cassie: We hashed it out. I think everything is going to be okay now. I think Will is going to get the help he needs. You're going to get your job back.
Josh: I hope so.
(Music playing)
Jonathan: She needs the soy formula because the milk makes her gassy. And if you go through this book, there is about every other page missing because she likes to rip the pages out. I know where she is ticklish. Lizzie doesn't know any of that stuff. That's what you need to tell the judge, that I know Sarah. I need to have full custody.
Mel: You have a criminal record. You don't have a job. You have a horrible reputation in this town.
Jonathan: Yeah, but... you're good.
Mel: Not that good.
Bill: When were you were little, what did you like best?
Lizzie: Was?
Bill: Swing or teeter-totter?
Lizzie: I liked the swings.
Bill: Ah, teeter-totter, that way I could hold my end down and keep the kids up in the air-- (laughter)
Lizzie: And did you jump off and let them come crashing to the ground?
Bill: Only if they deserved it.
Lizzie: Only if. I'm so sure. I like the swing. I like to see how I can get my feet up in the air with that tickling in your stomach. I felt so free. I feel like I miss her more now than I did when I thought she was dead.
Bill: Well, that's because you know she's right here.
Lizzie: Jonathan is never going to let me have her.
Bill: It's not his call.
Lizzie: I can't let him take her again. I have no other choice but to fight. What else can I do?
Bill: You're going to do nothing. Let me do it
Lizzie: Listen, Bill--
Bill: Let me get your daughter back. If you want to do something, go find a little place to raise her in. Do you trust me?
Lizzie: No. But I want to.
Bill: Come on.
Harley: Hi, it's me. I hope your trip is going well. And I miss you. That's funny, I was cleaning the house today, and I found a... anyway. Um... I love you, Cyrus. Okay.
Officer: Is that the chief?
Marina: It's Cyrus.
Officer: Oh, rare.
Marina: How old are you, 13?
Officer: Um, 12.
Marina: Anyway, the doctor said I should be feeling better by now. When are you coming home? Okay. Do you miss me? I miss you, too. I love you.
All I need is you...
Marina: No, they're right here!
Show me how you feel seems redundant, you and I both already know...
Marina: Why are you following me?
Harley: I'm not following you.
Marina: You're not following me?
Harley: I'm walking down the hallway.
Marina: Why?
Harley: Why am I walking down a hallway?
Marina: Why are you following me?
Harley: I'm worried about you. You're back to work--
Marina: You think I'm weak?
Harley: I think you should take care of yourself.
Marina: I think my fiancée should take care of me if he were home.
Harley: Where is he?
Marina: No. He went to drum up a case. You haven't heard from him?
Harley: No, no. And I wouldn't expect to, unless he got a gig. So you're back at work?
Marina: Part-time.
Harley: Where were you headed? You should go. I won't stop you.
Marina: I can’t.
Harley: Why not?
Marina: You were right. This is all too much.
Harley: Gosh, you should be sitting down.
Marina: Simmons!
Harley: Will you get her some ice.
Nurse: Where’s your ride?
Olivia: I'm on my own.
Josh: I really appreciate all your hard work on this. Yeah, I'll be there. Um... there's a meeting at the church. I have to go to. Stephen set it up.
Cassie: Is that a good thing?
Josh: I don't know.
Cassie: Well, Reva and I cleared some things up. We’ve already had some good.
Josh: That's true. That's a miracle in itself.
Cassie: I hope we haven't cruised up our quota.
Josh: My understanding is there is no quota. Do you want to go with me, I'll drop you off on the way?
Cassie: I think I'll just walk.
Josh: It's kind of freezing.
Cassie: Well, I'm kind of freezing already. It keeps my head clear.
Josh: Don't get lost again.
Cassie: I won’t. I know where I'm headed.
Jeffrey: It's not good, but it's hot. I've changed the vents so it blows on your feet. You can take your shoes off.
Reva: Anything to get warm.
Jeffrey: Anything?
Reva: Yeah, anything. (Cell phone rings) It's mine.
Jeffrey: It's yours?
Reva: Oh, hey, it's from Jonathan. "Ah, hi, Mommy. That's not good. I made a list. Sarah and I are hiding out. I've made a list of things I'm going to need. Pampers, wipes, formula, and beer-- beer for me, not for Sarah." Isn't that kid just the sweetest guy. They don't have the formula that Sarah needs at the mini mart, so--
Jeffrey: I'm going to have to stay here. Here at the lighthouse. City business, some zoning thing. So you know what? You take the car, and I'll have one of the--
Reva: Rangers?
Jeffrey: Yeah, take me back.
Reva: I can wait.
Jeffrey: This is legal stuff. It is going to take some time. Besides, you have that list for Jonathan.
Reva: Okay. But if my feet are still cold when you get home, you're going to have to warm them up.
Jeffrey: And many other parts of your body.
Cassie: Hey, you. We are going to have to go ice skating.
Jeffrey: Did you pay off the guard to get him out?
Cassie: Sweetie, you keep playing. It is an approved visit.
Jeffrey: Approved? By whom?
Cassie: He needs this. This is good for him. And I'll take him back--
Jeffrey: Now. You'll take him back now, Cassie. He is being detained. He has to stay there. He has to be watched.
Cassie: I will watch him.
Jeffrey: You take him back or I will.
Cassie: All right.
Bill: Hello. Can I help you carry these, please?
Reva: Why certainly. Seeing as you’ve been following me.
Bill: Following you. That's such a stalkery word. Maybe I just want a little family time.
Reva: This really isn't a good day for you to be messing with me, little Bill. What do you want, dimples?
Bill: Let me buy you a cup of coffee so I can explain why you should join the good guys against your son.
Jonathan: Well, it smells kind of weird, but we've stayed in worse, right? Sarah, I'm putting you down for a nap.
(Music playing)
Cassie: It's okay, come on out.
In the blink of an eye...
Cassie: Hey, it's Cassie. I just -- I want to check and see if there is any luck at the hearing. That's great. Thanks.
Josh: Listen. I really appreciate you coming all this way. This particular job, you know, means a lot to me.
Stephen: Well, this congregation means a lot to me. I think I'm always going to have a sense of personal responsibility for its spiritual activity.
Josh: So will I.
Gus: Hi. Um... Where’s Ms. Spencer?
Nurse: Oh, vampire man. She left.
Natalia: Oh, hi. I didn't hear you come in. You're not here to work out, are you? No. Is that good for you, to exercise with your heart?
Olivia: It depends on the exercise.
Natalia: I'll get out of your way.
Olivia: No. You don't have to go. I came to talk to you.
Natalia: Why?
Olivia: I came to thank you.
Natalia: This is really uncomfortable.
Olivia: I know, but it has to be said. I think you're an amazing woman. I know it wasn't easy for you to walk away from Gus like this.
Natalia: Well, you need him.
Olivia: I do.
Natalia: So how is it -- how are you?
Olivia: I'm stronger, I think, thanks to him.
Natalia: Good.
Olivia: I mean, when he took me to the hospital today--
Natalia: Today?
Olivia: He does everything for me. He's been wonderful. Is this yours?
Natalia: Yeah, it keeps falling off. When the wedding was coming up, I had them change the name. But he's with you now.
Olivia: It's just a name. It's a name. It's showing up that counts.
Reva: What do you think, an extra shot of hazelnut is going to get me to side with you against my own son.
Bill: What about Sarah’s side? Isn't that what is most important here?
Reva: What do you want?
Bill: Jonathan went a little nuts when Lizzie walked out on the wedding.
Reva: Jonathan was just trying to do the right thing about Lizzie.
Bill: Well, he basically hunts her down, throws her in his car, leaves her out in the woods, threatening to get full custody of this child. Something I'm sure you don't want.
Reva: No, I don’t.
Bill: This child is going to need both parents. She’s a Spaulding, she's going to need all of the help she can get.
Reva: So what, you're here to propose a compromise?
Bill: Well, I'm a reasonable guy.
Reva: (Laughs) Since when? What's your part in all of this?
Bill: I am with Lizzie now.
Reva: Really?
Bill: Uh-huh.
Reva: Well, I really don't like that. And Jonathan may seem out of control, but so do you.
(Knock on the door)
Jonathan: Reva?
Lizzie: Guess again.
Jonathan: What the hell. Sarah is right here.
Lizzie: She's sleeping.
Jonathan: What do you want? The last time I saw you --
Lizzie: You were leaving me in the middle of the woods. You were ranting how I'm not your wife, and I'm your enemy and I'm a threat to Sarah, and it worked. I walked around in the cold, and I stomped on your coat a couple of times, and then I got colder, so I put it back on. But during my walk home, I realized I'm happier with you and Sarah.
Jonathan: Happier than what?
Lizzie: I'm happy with you. I always have been. You get me.
Jonathan: I know who you are.
Lizzie: Because we're so alike.
Jonathan: Well, not really. My bras don't have little pink ribbons on them.
Lizzie: You can see my bra?
Jonathan: Lizzie, you want me to see your bra.
Lizzie: It's really infuriating that I can never fool you. It's infuriating and it makes me feel safe all at the same time. I am happy when I am with you. That's real. And you really did make me think. But I knew if I came in here and just told you that, you wouldn't believe me. So I just needed to get your attention.
Jonathan: Hm, well, you got it.
Lizzie: It's not all an act, you know. We have something. Something about you gets to me. You don't have to say that you feel it, too, but I know that you did, once. Before we always had Tammy between us. Except for that one time. We know there is one thing we do very well. We are very hot together.
Jonathan: So how is this going to work? You tie me up, get me ready, and then excuse yourself for a little powder?
Lizzie: No.
Jonathan: A few minutes pass, and even a few more...
Lizzie: That's not what I'm doing, Jonathan.
Jonathan: You think I'm a dumb ass?
Lizzie: I'm just trying to make you happy.
Jonathan: Really? Are you happy? How far are you willing to go? Are you going to sleep with me? Hmm?
Lizzie: Yeah! Yeah, maybe I would, huh? You can't take my daughter from me, Jonathan!
Jonathan: I already have! Get up! Get up!
Lizzie: No, no, no, no! Jonathan, no!
Jonathan: Good-bye, again.
Lizzie: Jonathan! Jonathan!
Cassie: So, I'm thinking if we just tell the judge a history...
Mel: How soon before Josh is here?
Cassie: I don't think he's making it.
Mel: Cassie, he needs to be here.
Cassie: He wanted to be here. But church business. It’s hard to override God.
Mel: We have to convince a judge that Will is better off at home than a detention center. I'm not so sure. I mean, after reading this, he might need -- time away may help the kid. He might need a little objective outside assistance.
Cassie: What he needs is to be loved and protected.
Mel: Of course.
Cassie: And what would you do if someone tried to take Leah away from you?
Mel: All right. We'll see what happens.
Mel: Hey.
Marina: Hey. Try these.
Mel: Oh, no, I'm having coffee.
Marina: Marshmallows, they're good.
Mel: Really? Some coffee? Yeah.
Marina: So how did you know?
Mel: Know what?
Marina: That Rick was cheating?
Mel: Okay. If I have these marshmallows, can we have a different conversation?
Marina: How did you know it was Beth?
Mel: Marina.
Marina: I'm sorry, I'm just really nervous. It's the first time I've ever been engaged. You should try these, the marshmallows, they're really good.
Mel: Okay. Looks good.
Harley: See, we would still be together if we didn't have such hard heads.
Gus: I thought things were complicated before. How are the boys?
Harley: They're good. They're really good. They're just perfect. And thank you for always making them such a priority. They love you so much.
Gus: Of course. Remember we came here after the Stillman case?
Harley: Yes. Yes.
Gus: Yeah. We were here from 3:00 the day before, and we ended up seeing two sunsets, remember?
Harley: Yes, yes.
Gus: We were all hyped up, and we took a long walk.
Harley: Such adrenaline.
Gus: It was cold.
Harley: Freezing.
Gus: And I gave you my coat, and you had that little look in your eye.
Harley: That wasn't the Stillman case.
Gus: Yeah, no, it was.
Harley: No, it wasn’t. The Stillman case was that old firehouse by the bridge, that bridge on the other side --
Gus: No, no, no. The bridge, that was --
Harley: No, it was the Stillman case. I remember because --
Gus: Anyway. Anyway, we kissed.
Harley: This is so awkward. That was stupid.
Gus: That's okay.
Harley: I'm sorry. I don't know why I did that. I didn't mean to make things more complicated for you.
Gus: You didn't make things more complicated, trust me. I miss her, I miss my old friend.
Harley: Yeah, me, too. Take care.
Jonathan: You got Pringles.
Reva: You asked for Pringles, ranch and chili cheese.
Jonathan: Anybody outside when you pulled up?
Reva: Which anybody would you be referring to?
Jonathan: Never mind.
Reva: How long has Sarah been asleep?
Jonathan: Maybe an hour.
Reva: Good, because I can't wait to see her. Does Lizzie know she is here?
Jonathan: Yeah, but I can handle Lizzie.
Reva: You know who I saw when I was shopping? Bill.
Jonathan: I don't need Lizzie or Bill anywhere my daughter. I'm her father. I've been with her.
Reva: Look, I love you and I kept your secret for a year, and I don't regret that.
Jonathan: Good. Then help me keep them away from her.
Reva: I can’t.
Jonathan: You can't help your granddaughter?
Reva: I think Lizzie should be with her daughter. It's a mother/daughter thing. They need each other. They love each other.
Jonathan: So you think Sarah should live with Lizzie?
Reva: This is not a choice between one or the other.
Jonathan: It's okay. This is not the first time you weren't on my side. It won't be the last.
Reva: I'm here for you now. But this can't be about sides now, for Sarah’s sake.
Jonathan: Uh-huh. Excuse me, I've got to go take care of my daughter.
Bill: How? I don't get it.
Lizzie: I thought if Jonathan got turned on enough, I could get him to let me tie up his hands and his feet.
Bill: What are you thinking?
Lizzie: He figured it out. And he threw me out.
Bill: He threw you out into the cold again.
Lizzie: This time he gave me a blanket.
Bill: He's a sweetheart.
Lizzie: I almost had him. He almost gave in.
Bill: Gave in. Would you have slept with him?
Lizzie: Yeah. I'm trying to get my daughter back. I'll do whatever I have to.
Bill: You went over there to sleep with him.
Lizzie: Is this jealousy? Is this what I'm seeing, jealousy?
Bill: Jealousy? You think I'm...? No, this is a waste of time. That's what this is.
Lizzie: Bill! Bill! Come on. Come on.
Reva: You know, I know I said that I would stay away from you, but this has to be done to keep things from getting worse.
Josh: Worse than church? It must be pretty bad.
Reva: Don't make stupid jokes. Jonathan and Lizzie are at war with each other, and Cassie is... I know I come in here every month.
Josh: Week.
Reva: I know I come in here every week, but it always feels like my family is about to collapse.
Josh: It's not going to collapse.
Reva: And the last time I felt like this, Tammy died and Jonathan ran off with Sarah. And I have to keep that from happening again.
Josh: Reva, it's not all bad. Some things are better, right? You and Cassie worked through some stuff.
Reva: Is that what she told you? So how was your meeting with Stephen? The church secretary said you were still in the meeting.
Josh: I've been reinstated. I got my congregation back.
Reva: And Cassie didn't even have to lie under oath.
Cassie: My late husband Richard and I were very blessed when Will came into our life. He made our family complete, and after Richard passed away, his biological father asked me to send him back to San Cristobel where he could be raised as the rightful heir to the thrown. At the time it seemed selfish to say no. But I later found out that Will was not happy there and he was very lonely, and he missed his mother. And I was very grateful to get him back, but he has just had some trouble adjusting. What he needs is his mother's attention.
Harley: Come on in!
Jonathan: Hi. Are you a P.I. now?
Harley: Yeah.
Jonathan: I've got a job for you to do.
Harley: What kind of job?
Jonathan: It's nothing illegal. I just need you to dig up some dirt on someone.
Harley: Jonathan.
Jonathan: Stuff from the past, follow them around. I need as much information as I can get.
Harley: He's back. Um, I'm sorry. This is just not the job for me.
Gus: Hey, I miss you already. Well, what time do you get off work?
Natalia: 6:30.
Gus: That's not good because that's when Emma has to go to dance class and Olivia needs to be there.
Natalia: You need to go with her daughter and make sure she's all right.
Gus: Are you all right?
Natalia: I'm hanging in.
Gus: Well, I'm still your husband, okay? I'll be with you as soon as I can.
Harley: Okay, I'm here. Where are you?
Reva: "If thou art married, praise the Lord with music, singing and dancing and say a word of praise of thanksgiving.
Josh: Hallelujah, sister. And what is the point?
Reva: The point is that we shouldn't be wallowing in our own problems. We should have a celebration-- music, singing and dancing. We should have a party.
Josh: What scriptures are you talking about?
Reva: The scriptures according to Reva Shayne! Come on, Bud, we should have a party.
Josh: I don't know...
Reva: Maybe a party is exactly what we all need. (Cell phone rings)
Josh: It's Cassie.
Reva: See, there's a sign. I'm going to call Jeffrey.
Josh: Hey.
Cassie: Where are you?
Josh: I'm still at the church. My church.
Cassie: Does that mean...?
Josh: I've been reinstated. I didn't even know how much I missed it until I got it back.
Cassie: I completely understand.
Josh: I'm thinking we should have a party. I know it's short notice, but I just got something back that is very important to me, and I think we should celebrate.
Cassie: I'm so glad you feel that way.
Josh: I'll meet you at Company?
Cassie: I'm on my way.
Bill: Sorry.
Wanda: Would you like me to go over your schedule with me?
Bill: Would you like to go over my schedule with me, Wanda?
Wanda: You have a staff protocol spread sheet meeting coming up, and Mr. Santos will be here in a half hour.
Bill: Got it.
Wanda: The car will be just outside. Do you want me to get your jacket for you?
Bill: My jacket. Wanda, I don't have that jacket anymore. I gave it away. I'll never see that jacket again and I loved that jacket.
Coming up on "Guiding Light"...
Lizzie: I need help. I need my daughter back.
Jonathan: Do you want to stay here?
Alan: Mr. Randall is going to be arrested for the unsolved murder of a sheriff.
Jonathan: You want a war? You're going to get a blood bath.
Bill: It's going to be tough to follow you when you're sitting in a jail cell.
