[ Chuckles ] Yeah, I'm sorry for, you know, being all over you. I just... you weren'T. You were being a brother, and I appreciate that. Willow: How are you feeling? Better. I just can't tell if I'm actually improving or if it's just 'cause you're here.

[ Monitor beeping ] The lab put a rush on these. Thank you, lisa. Hamilton? How's our boy? Just please, please be careful. Okay. I love you. Good night.

[ Sighs ]

[ Footsteps ] Sonny: How's jason? Jax:

Nina, a-are you still there? Yes, jax, I'm here. It's good to hear your voice. I, uh, I missed you. "Just Mike" thinks I'm not who I say?

[ Chuckles ] You have no last name, no history to speak of, and you're calling me a fraud? You said it -- I didn'T.

[ Chuckles ] Please, jax. Can we just don't do this? Look, I have something I want to tell you. So please just tell me where you are, and -- and I will come to you.

 I had this dream that -- that you came over to the apartment and said you were moving back in, and I know. I know it wasn't real, but, willow, it felt so good to hear that. Chase, there is something we really need to talk about.

[ Door opens ]

[ Monitor beeping ] How are you feeling? I was worried sick when I heard. I'm okay. Helps having people around who care about me. Finn: Well, your fever's down. You're stable. Your labs don't point to anything obviously wrong with you, no infection or uti, no meningitis, no infectious disease process that can be contagious. Your lungs are clear. No sign of food poisoning? No. No. We kind of assumed that since all of us were fine. So I can go home? No, later, okay? I want to keep you a little longer for observation. It's good of you to be here, willow. I can't tell you how glad I am that you and harry are back together. Hey, I'm -- I'm sorry, man, I -- if I was distant. I wasn't, you know, trying to avoid you. I was just trying to... figure things out? Yeah. Yeah. How's that going? Yeah, good. Yeah? Yeah, you know, I feel like this fog is lifting finally. I guess these sessions with kevin are helping out, because I'm starting to feel like myself again. That's great, dante. You know, I was called to testify at alexis' sentencing hearing, and when I was up on the stand, you know, going through everything that happened for everyone, it was the first time in a long time I actually felt grounded, you know, like I actually really knew what I was doing, which is ridiculous because I've testified at dozens of trials before and I should know how to do that stuff in my sleep. Well, yeah, like you said, though, I mean, it's been a while.

[ Sighs ] You're a -- a great cop who knows how to give testimony. I mean, it must have felt pretty good doing something you're skilled at again, huh? Yeah. Yeah, you know what? It did. So have you thought about going back? I mean, to pcpd, I mean? Well, jordan keeps mentioning it, but I don't know. I don't know if I'm ready for that. You're so good at it, though. Well, hey, thanks, michael. I should have come here for this beer a long time ago 'cause I could use the ego boost.

[ Chuckles ] No, it's just, you know, not only would the department be lucky to have you but, uh, it'd be nice for chase, too, to have a partner to lean on. I'm actually surprised you're here -- feels like a unicorn sighting.

[ Chuckles ] You know what I appreciate? What? How you just come right out and say you wanted to see me. I didn't actually say it quite like that, and let's be real -- my options of people to talk to are pretty limited at the moment. It's basically between you and my drug counselors. What about michael? Michael and i ended things. Oh. I'm sorry. I'm not. We gave it the ol' college try, but we both knew it wasn't working. You see a screwdriver in there? Flathead or phillips? Flathead. So...what brought you to the garage tonight?

[ Sighs ] Sometimes, after a day working for cyrus, I just need to do something where the grease on my hands is actual grease, where I know what the hell I'm doing. Like taking a shower in reverse. Cleaning up from cyrus' world by getting yourself dirty. Sonny, you're here. Where else would I be? How's, uh, jason? He's fine. Not that he would say if he was anything else, but it won't last long. We have to get him out of there. We will. It's already taken care of. How? Don't worry about it. I got it. Thank you. There's been so much going on. I mean, it's just been so... overwhelming? Yeah. Josslyn: Mom? Are you okay? Yeah, I, um... I was just lost in thought. How is your ankle doing? Uh, hurts a little, but nothing I can't handle. Please tell me you didn't play on that tonight. I wish. I sat out of practice. Then what is it? What's what? Whatever it is you're not telling me. Jax, whatever you need to tell me, you can say it over the phone. No, look, this is news that I want to give to you in person. Look, I promise I won't ask anything of you. I just want to talk. Well, isn't that what we're doing right now? We're -- we're talking. Nina, please. You know, being in the same room together is not gonna solve any of our problems. I'm not saying that it will, but it -- it could be a start. I just -- I... I c-- mr. She's finally starting to heal.

[ Cellphone beeps ]

[ Sighs ] I hope I didn't overstep. No, thank you. Thank you. I know that I shouldn't see jax. I'm not ready for that. But when I heard his voice...

[ Sniffles ] The thing is, nina, when you got here, you were broken. And bit by bit, you've been putting the pieces back together. Mm-hmm, with a little help from my friends. And I don't want to disrupt that. Mnh-mnh. Neither do I. 'Cause if jax were to come here, it would ruin everything. I have an excuse -- I don't remember. What's your excuse? 'Cause your story doesn't add up. Maybe you forgot the basics of math. Maybe, but I remember how to keep an eye on someone, and I have two on you. Okay. Nina: You ready to go? Yeah. Let's get out of here. Okay.

[ Door opens ]

[ Door closes ] You okay? No. I just did something incredibly selfish.

[ Breathes sharply ]

 You know, at first, it didn't sit right, but now it's just blatantly wrong. What is? Why you're working for cyrus. I mean, you clearly can't stand the guy -- and for good reason. He's total slime. So what is he doing -- blackmailing you? Oh, my god. He is. Of course he is. That's cyrus' M.O., Like -- like when he put cocaine on my dinner plate. Can we just drop this, please? Cyrus wants power over everyone, and he certainly has power over you. But it's not drugs. I would know if you were using. Sasha. It's dev. He was in the country illegally. It has to be dev. Socket wrench. Okay, here's the deal. You saved my life, literally. Well, I think the doctors and nurses did that. So can you just drop the pretense and admit that I'm right? Fine. Fine, what? Yes, cyrus is blackmailing me. Yes, dev, it's about dev, but honestly, it's so much more complicated than that. Well, it's a good thing we're alone then, isn't it? And with all the time in the world. It's the least I can do after you brought harry here. I really appreciate it. And I appreciate how you salvaged the dinner after I pretty much gave up. Yeah, you weren't the only one. I meant every word that I said. We're still family, even if our positions have shifted. Be right back. I'm really glad you're gonna be okay. You scared us. Thank you for taking such good care of me, and I'm sorry for going off at dinner... it's over. ...After I all but kicked you out of my apartment afterwards. I should've insisted on staying. [ Chuckles ] I'm sure. Okay.

[ Door opens ]

[ Door closes ] What happened at that family dinner?

[ Sighs ] It was tense, mainly because of me. I don't really want to talk about that right now. Okay. What do you want to talk about? You...and why you came by tonight. What did you want to tell me?

[ Monitor beeping ] Ah, why would chase need me to lean on? Oh, no. I just... but, you know. No, I don't know. I mean, what I do know is we're standing here in willow's house. She's not here. But you've been here for a few hours 'cause I can tell by the text chain we just had. W-why don't you just tell me what's going on?

[ Chuckles ] Well, willow and i are together. Yeah. And not -- not -- not -- not for show, not for wiley, but for us. And I swear, dante, I-I-I love her so much, I can't see straight.

[ Chuckles ]

[ Laughs ] Nina's ex just called her, and I can tell he was pushing her to see him, and she was so torn. So I took the phone and told him to stop. What did he say? I don't know. I hung up on him. Doesn't sound selfish to me. Sounds like you were protecting a friend. I was protecting myself, too. I had this flash what it would be like if nina went back home. You'd miss her. Mm-hmm. I love having her here, but it's not fair of me to put that on her. Jax seemed like a really nice man when I met him. Maybe his intentions are pure. What did nina say? She was grateful I stepped in. Alright. Yeah. It was -- it was good that you shut it down, no matter what your reasons. Nina seems like the kind of girl who gets herself in trouble, whether she means to or not. Trouble? Or elijah? Thank you. Wow, this is spectacular. Mike showed me the old mill and the river, but this view of the falls is something else. I promised you the insider's tour. I make good on my promises. Mm-hmm. Though it won't be a well-kept secret for long, huh, once your article's published and all the tourists start flooding in? Yeah, that's the hope. And who knows? Maybe somebody will show up and recognize your friend Mike. Well, remember what I said -- the next few editions are already planned out, so, uh, it's gonna be a while before nixon falls becomes a "destination." Yeah, but somebody's got to figure out that mystery eventually. Think about it -- you'll be doing the town and Mike a favor.

[ Both chuckle ] I was gonna wait until things calmed down before, uh, I told you so that we could celebrate. Oh, there's always time to celebrate. Now, tell me the good news. I got into pcu.

[ Chuckles ] No! Yeah, with a spot on their volleyball team. Oh! Oh! Their division 1 volleyball team! Mm-hmm.

[ Gasps ] Oh, my god, baby! Josslyn, that's wonderful! I'm so proud of you!

[ Chuckles ] Thanks.

[ Sighs ] Wow. Oh, you're going to college. Alright, tomorrow, we're gonna spend the whole day doing whatever you want. Sounds great. Okay. Alright, now go get some ice on that. I see you limping. Yeah. Good idea. Yeah. Josslyn, I love you. Love you, too.

[ Doorbell rings ]

[ Sighs ] Yes! Yes!

[ Sighs ] Hey. Hey. Is this a bad time? No. What's up?

[ Door closes ] I have something to tell you, and you're probably not gonna like it.

[ Sighs ] Thought we could all use one. Thank you. Chase was right, you know? You took the high road tonight, and I wish... well, I wish I could be more like you. You can be whatever you want to be, hamilton. Isn't that what you tell violet? Yeah, it is.

[ Monitor beeping ] I'm not sure how to say what I need to say. Whatever it is, I'm here. I mean, we'll figure it out together.

[ Beeping continues ] Chase... oh, god. Sorry -- mine's so cold. What? They must have lowered the temperature in here because of your fever. My hand's an ice cube. Willow. What? I can't feel my hand. Or this hand... or my feet. -Wow. -Yeah. I mean, I'm -- I'm not gonna say I told you so, but I-I could tell there was something real between you and willow. No, you were right.

[ Chuckles ] I'm really happy for you, man. Thank you. Yeah, I'm just... I'm afraid I'm gonna wake up, and it's all been a dream, you know? Hey, hey, it's not a dream, okay? It's real. And no one's more deserving than you. Brando: Like I told you, Sonny needed a father for dev, so he reaches out to my mom... his cousin. ...And asked her to claim dev as my son -- her grandson. Of course, she doesn't tell Sonny that I'm actually alive. So how'd you figure it out? It was christmas time, and I guess I was feeling sentimental. So went to my mom's facebook page, and there front and center is a picture of her with her "grandson."

[ Sighs ] Wow. Well, I know I don't have any kids out there, and being that I'm an only child... she was obviously up to something. And nothing good. If I do the article, it will be for phyllis, not for Mike. Yeah. Yeah, of course. I see you two are connected. Phyllis makes it easy, doesn't she? Yeah, she sure does. Sometimes, I get overprotective of her and lenny. So, when a guy like Mike comes around, I'm on guard. No, I get it. I get it. Didn't I hear you tried to buy the tan-o? Yeah. Until Mike stepped in with enough cash that they could keep the place. You say it like it's a bad thing.

[ Sighs ] Can I ask you something?

[ Chuckling ] Sure. Doesn't it bother you that Mike conveniently forgot everything about himself and has managed to weasel his way into lenny and phyllis' life? Like you did?

[ Sighs ] You barely met elijah when you went after him. Yeah, I told you -- sometimes my instincts kick in. He's a good guy, Mike, and we've known him a long time. I know. I know. You helped him out right after he got out of business school. And was completely buried in debt. Yes. And you and lenny took him in and, apparently, he moved to san francisco. Did he ever say anything about any jobs he had there? There was one... said it inspired him to change his life. Hmm. Really? You -- you remember the name? I had a good talk with michael. About what? About whether he would reconsider allowing nina to be a part of wiley's life. And he said, "yes." Why would you do that?! Why? Nina told my grandson that willow was not his mother. It upset willow, it upset wiley, and it was completely out of line. Look, I understand that, but nina is not some evil person. I didn't say that she was! But, come on, jax -- who's more important in this scenario -- the 2-year-old or the grown woman? You know what? Don't answer that. Don't answer that, because I cannot handle this right now. I have too much going on in my life. Like what? Like how the hell I'm gonna fix things for jason.

I know you don't get what it is between me and jason. Okay? Yeah, and I don't have to understand it. I just have to accept it, which I have done. Look, I am not suggesting that you don't miss jason. I'm not even suggesting that you don't need him. What are you suggesting? That if he was here, he would probably tell you to not get so worked up about this because you just -- you're making things worse.

[ Chuckles, sniffles ] Things can't get any worse. Oh, my god. If there was ever a human being who could take care of himself, it's jason. He has the best lawyer in the state. Eventually, he will go free. He just has to last until the trial. Jason will be fine. Jason's not fine. He's not fine! Cyrus renault is a lot of things, but he's not stupid. He is a master manipulator. He finds where you're weak and he goes after it, and he knows he can't do that to jason. The only way for cyrus to get rid of jason is to kill him, and that's exactly what he's gonna do because jason's in pentonville. And I know that jason is strong, jax, but he can't stay awake 24 hours a day. And I'm not gonna lose the one person who can hold Sonny's territory together, and more than that, I can't lose jason, period. It's that simple. Josslyn: Are you guys fighting?

[ Sighs ] I'm sorry, sweetheart. No, I -- I'm -- you know how I get worked up when I'm passionate about something. I'm sorry. I will tone it down. Okay? Yeah, we -- we both will. Yeah. Mm.

[ Sighs ] So...tell your dad the good news. I got into pcu. Get out of here. Yeah. And she earned herself a spot on the volleyball team. Mm-hmm. That is amazing! And it must take the sting out of being, you know, waitlisted. What do you mean "waitlisted"? Where? And why didn't I know about this? I didn't worm my way into phyllis and lenny's lives. They offered their help. Like they're doing for Mike. Yeah, but at least they knew who I was when I met them. This guy, Mike, has he given you any indication? Of what? I don't know. Anything. His past, who he might have been? No, I-I don't know anything about Mike. I just know that he is a decent dancer.

[ Laughs ] So you think he's okay? Yeah, I think he's okay. And I think he -- I think he really likes this town. He enjoys the simplicity. Yet somehow, he won huge at a poker game. H-how does that square with the "simple life"? Elijah, is this the insider tour of nixon falls or a fishing expedition on Mike? I'm sorry. I'll show you the old boathouse, and we can change topics. Mm-hmm. To what? You. How you came to meet phyllis and lenny. Do you mind if we just take a rain check on this? Because I'm really -- I'm cold, and, um, this morning, I got a call that put me out of sorts. And, no, I am not gonna tell you what it was about. I think you're mistaking my interest for nosiness. Am I? Yes. I'm coming from a good place. I promise. Yeah, sorry to bother you. My name's Mike smith, and I run a company here in pittsburgh, pennsylvania, and I'm thinking of hiring this guy. He said he worked for you. His name is elijah crowe. Oh, he worked for you? What's that? He embezzled from you? Arrested but not convicted. Oh.

[ Tapping ] Okay, uh, sorry to hear that. Uh, thanks for giving me a heads-up.

[ Sighs ] What was that about? Ooh. Facebook, of all places. I mean, you'd think she'd know better than to post a picture. Well, this is my mom we're talking about. I saw the photo was taken at Sonny's, so I made my way to port charles. And then I got here... what a mess. Okay, yes, but not a mess of your making. You had nothing to do with it. Still, I felt responsible. I mean, this woman is my mother, and she agreed to play along with it. And what about dev? Look, what was -- what was I supposed to do? His future was hanging in the balance. C-cut him loose? So you agreed to be dev's father. And then my mom, in true form, tells cyrus the truth.

[ Sighs ]

[ Scoffs ] Guess the next thing he did. Used it as leverage? Hanging it over my head and Sonny's and carly's and josslyn's -- and everyone who knew dev wasn't who you all said he was. How big a problem could it be? No one knows, but no one wants to find out, either.

[ Monitor beeping ] Chase: Nothing. Nothing? No, they're, like, numb and tingling at the same time. It's like -- it's like my hands and feet are asleep.

[ Sighs ] What about now? Now? Nothing. No. Hamilton, what's wrong with harry?

Chase has the classic symptoms of peripheral neuropathy. It's a problem with the nerves. I've probably just been in the bed too long. I just need to get my -- whoa, whoa, whoa. Where do you think you're going? Where do you think you're going? Back in bed. Okay. Okay. Easy. Alright? Yeah. And listen to me now. It's, uh... it's a symptom of an underlying condition or conditions. It's often seen in diabetics. But chase doesn't have diabetes. What else can cause it? A variety of things. It could be a toxin in the system. It could be a tumor growing on or near the spine, kidney disease. Well, that doesn't sound scary at all. Listen. Listen to me. I'm not trying to scare you. I'm just trying to figure all this out. Can't you just give me something to make it go away? Not without knowing the origin. So how do we find that out? Tests, a lot of tests. Great. Hey. Hey, chase, you okay? No, it's starting to burn, Finn, everywhere. Alright, alright. It hurts! Listen. Listen to me. I'm gonna get you something for the pain, alright? Okay. Alright? Does this mean I'm not going home? Not tonight.

[ Grunts softly ] Not tonight.

[ Door opens, closes ] So you're working for a man you loathe to protect a bunch of people you barely know, who, let's be honest, haven't been particularly nice to you. And that doesn't even include dev anymore -- he's gone. Okay. Don't do that. Do what? Don't make me out to be some noble guy. I'm not. The corinthos family has actually been pretty decent to me. So that was part of my motivation. The other part... cyrus is a son of a bitch. You won't get an argument from me. I've hated guys like him my entire life. And when I can bring him down, I plan to. Good. Right? When I see what he's doing to my mom... sure, she's done some horrible things, but he is 100% exploiting her, just like he tried to exploit you. I am so glad you survived, sasha, for a million different reasons, but most of all? Because it gave you a chance to step back from him. You're the one thing cyrus didn't get. Good for you. I had no idea you took such a personal interest in me. Then you haven't been looking close enough. Yeah, it's great you and sasha were able to end things on good terms. That's rare.

[ Cellphone vibrating ] Yeah, yeah. I'm hoping the same is true for willow and chase. Is that where she is right now, with him? Yeah. Ohh.

[ Breathes sharply ] Poor guy. Sucks being on the losing end, but, hey, maybe he'll be, uh, cool about it? That -- that's -- that's what I'm hoping for. Hey, to your point earlier, if you need someone to talk to him, I'll -- I'll talk to him. Is that your way of saying you're going back on the force? No.

[ Scoffs ] It's under consideration. How's that? Alright. I'll take it.

[ Breathes sharply ] When do you got there? I thought you might like to take a look at some pictures of our time with elijah, show you that he's like family to us. Hey, didn't expect you back so soon.

[ Door closes ] Is elijah a terrible tour guide? No, he's an excellent tour guide, and nixon falls is beautiful. Mm. An excellent tour guide who asks too many questions. Elijah's always been that way. Hates talking about himself, but is the best listener I've ever met.

[ Chuckles ] I'm sorry. I-I didn't realize you hadn't said anything. That's fine. I should probably let you talk to your mother, but congratulations again. Thank you. That's really good news. Bye. Bye. So you were [Sighs] Waitlisted at southern coastal, huh? Hey, give me that. Hmm? What's going on? How do you feel about this? Well, I-I didn't want to tell you anything because you've already had so much going on. I mean, I didn't want to add anything else to your plate. Oh, my gosh, josslyn, you are my plate. Anything going on with you should always be my top priority. I want to know how you're feeling. Well, you know what? It's not ideal, mom. I want to play for the best of the best. And I mean, southern coastal's volleyball program is, hands down, the best. And honestly... I think it'd be good for me to get some distance. From us? No. No, never from you. I mean, I'm gonna miss you and donna and avery and michael like crazy. I mean, port charles in general. My friends. Your friends? Not Trina. Cameron.
