[ Sighs ] Can I tell you how much I hated that? Not because everyone wasn't perfectly nice. But because everyone was perfectly nice. Really makes me miss how it used to be. Yeah, I miss it, too. But the thing is, you know, we did what we did for wiley's sake. And, yeah, while I'll dispute certain tactics, I'll -- I'll never regret it. Neither will I. It was, uh, consequences, you know? And when you, uh, give certain things up... you can't always get them back. And the four of us, you know, our -- our friendship, I'm, uh -- I'm afraid that's one of them.

[ Knock on door ] Josslyn: Cam, it's just us! Trina: Open up!

[ Sighs ]

[ Chuckles ] What were you gonna do? Sing us to death? Ha ha ha. Wow. You're really taking this whole "protecting your family" thing seriously. Mm-hmm. I-I have to. I mean, do you know how many threats we've received since that article came out? I'm sorry. It is the worst when a notorious family member is on the front page and suddenly you have to worry about vigilantes. But on the upside, we are not intruders. Yeah, I can see that.

[ Chuckles ] And we'd love to hang out, you know, just the three of us. Maybe take our minds off of...everything. Happy valentine's day! Aww, guys. Thank you! Ava: So, how is franco doing? [ Both laugh ] I'm just here checking on brando. How convenient. He was just about to tell me what happened. Well, don't let me interrupt. Mr. Corbin? I was on my way to meet mr. Renault when, out of nowhere, I heard a shot and felt an incredible pain in my leg. It took me down. And the person who shot you? Never saw him. Uh, just heard him running away. So you didn't see or hear anything that could help us identify the person who shot you? No, ma'am. You're sure? That's it? That's all you're gonna give me? It's all I've got. What about you, mr. Morgan? Anything to add?

Well, thank you, guys, so much for coming. Mm-hmm. I just -- I can't help but feel a little bit bad. Why? Well, aren't you guys supposed to be at the dance? Without you?

But every day I move from the chaos of G.H. To dealing with my patients to hopefully saving some lives, sometimes not. And then I go home to deal with Trina, who, as you know, is dealing with an extremely...difficult situation with her father. So it's just a difficult place for me to be in, you know? What do I say to her? What do I keep back? So while I get that you're over this whole, you know, P.I. Stuff, this is kind of like a little -- I don't know -- vacation for me. Well, all right. I got nothing to add. Shocking. I don't know why I bother to ask anymore. The ballistics report said that you were shot at fairly close range, but you claim that you didn't see your attacker. But you must have some idea who would be motivated to do this. So, mr. Corbin, who are you protecting? Renault's organization or Sonny's? Tj? Yeah. He is done with work and on his way over. Are you nervous? No. I'm -- I'm excited. And happy. Most of all, I am at peace. That is the perfect way to feel before you make a commitment. Do you think mom and sam are gonna be upset when they find out we did this without them? I think when you explain why you wanted to do it, they'll understand. Yeah, I mean, as much as we love our family and we want to have a big celebration at some point, doing it this way just feels right for tj and me. Yeah. Intimate and simple. I get it. No big fanfare. [ Gasps ] Or is it mr. Morgan who has an issue with you? Neither. I told you. I don't know who shot me. Well, whoever it is didn't want you dead. Or else you would be. Maybe it was a warning of some sort. Maybe it was random and I just got in the way. Hmm. Or maybe it was a gift. Do you see what time it is? I'm about to close. No, you -- you can'T. And I am telling you right now...I will figure it out.

I guess I wanted to do it to give meaning to the day, you know? To make it about more than just greeting cards and chocolates. Make it about what it's supposed to be about. Love?

I-I just don't know if I can be apart from you guys. It does feel like everything's changing. Hey. I get that. Okay? But here's the thing, you guys. [ Knock on door ] Come in! Hey. My, uh, mom called, told me what happened. Are you okay? Nothing a few days' rest won't fix. You sure? Yeah. I'm fine. What are you guys doing here? It's valentine's day. You saved my life. The least I could do is check in on you. My mom was pretty light on the details. Do you know who did this? I'll let you fill them in.

[ Door closes ] Brando, what happened? Do you know who shot you? When I drove by the gatehouse to pick you up, I noticed there was some, uh, work being done. Yeah. Just a little. Was it in bad shape? No. I mentioned to michael -- in passing, mind you -- that it would be nice if the kitchen had an island, more counter space. Somewhere to feed wiley. Right. But nothing urgent, by any means. Next thing I know, michael is going full "gut-reno" on the place. And not just the kitchen. The whole gatehouse is being redecorated. Get out. And it's hilarious how michael is spying on me. I mean, not in a creepy way, but if I point out a chair I like in a magazine or a store, lo and behold, it shows up at the house a few days later.

[ Chuckles ] I'm sorry. I don't mean to be talking so much about michael. No. No. You, uh -- you live on his property. You're raising a kid together. Michael's a part of your life. And how's your life? How are you? Right here in this moment... I'm pretty damn great. Ava. What's wrong? Brad. Come on. I'm fine. You sure? Yeah. You know, being chief of staff comes with a lot of pressure. It's cyrus renault, isn't it? Come on. You went to the trouble of breaking me out of prison. Talk to me. The less you know, the better. And I don't want any of renault's crew going after you again. Then you'd really need to be in the hospital. I should probably, uh, get these delivered. Can I help? Yeah. That's a great idea. Just walk around G.H. All out in the open when you're really not supposed to be here. So that's a "no." That's a "hell no." Keep a low profile, would you? I'll be back.

 So y-you really never saw who shot you? Um, at least they didn't hit anything major. A-and what else would I be doing on valentine's day? It would have to be better than this. Yeah. How's, uh, recovery going? Good. You know, one day at a time, as they say. There's nothing wrong with taking it slow and steady. Uh, I'm sure you guys have a reservation somewhere. Go. Have a good time. Uh... really! I-I-I need the rest anyways. Okay. But I'll be back. I'll be here. Feel better, brando. Thanks.

[ Cellphone chimes ] Sorry. Change of plans. It's so great that Finn and your dad are getting along. Yeah, I never thought that it could happen. And now that it has? It feels hopeful, you know? That we could actually finally become a family. Goes to show, doesn't it? That damage can be repaired. Bridges can be rebuilt. Relationships can be regrown. It's happening with my dad and my brother. And I'm really hoping that it can happen with us. Lucas: Check this one out. Felix: Ohh! That's wiley on christmas. O.M.G. Look at that tiny little blazer. I know, right? Kid's got style, lucas. Yes. [ Door opens, closes ] Okay, look. My sister really needs this night to happen. We all have needs, ma'am. Maybe you have valentine's day plans or maybe you're just really tired and want to go home. And I-I get that. But I want my sister to be happy. So... will this help? Come on. We'll see each other all the time. And even when we can't, we'll stay in touch. Mm-hmm.
