Ava: [Sighs]

[Knock on door]

Ava: Go away!

Kiki: Mom, you can't get rid of me.

Ava: Kiki. Just go home, okay? I don't want you to see me like this.

Kiki: I've already seen you -- at the hospital, remember?

Ava: Yeah, when I was covered in bandages. [Chuckles] You do know I am a nurse's aide. You don't need to protect me.

Ava: Who says it's you that I'm protecting?

Kiki: Okay, are you gonna open this door, or do I need to let myself in?

Ava: Don't say I didn't warn you, then.

Kiki: Okay. Well, you've done your good deed for the day, right?

Ava: Run along.

Kiki: No, no. I'm not going anywhere. You are.

Hayden: Would you kill me if I pushed back our dinner plans?

Finn: Depends, is this payback for the other night?

Hayden: I'm afraid my excuse isn't nearly as good as yours.

Finn: So you're not spending your evening in the lab.

Hayden: I'm sorry. I'm, uh, just shopping for our new home. I'm up to my ears in fabric swatches and paint samples.

Finn: I think I got off easy in the infectious disease lab.

Hayden: [Chuckles] I'll see you later. I love you.

Finn: I love you.

Hayden: [Exhales deeply]

Raymond: Rachel.

Hayden: Hi, Dad.

[Monitors beeping]

Sam: Jason isn't coming to help you. Not now, not ever again. Now you die.

Sonny: I don't want to hurt you.

Sam: What about Jason?

Sonny: What about Jason?

Sam: My husband, the father of my kids -- I'm not gonna let you take him away from us. You told me exactly what you were gonna do to Jason. Do you think I would just sit back and let it happen?

Sonny: When did I say any--

Sam: Stop with the lies! Just being around you puts the people you love in danger. And I'm not gonna let Scout or Danny end up like Morgan.

Sam: No, it's a dream. It has to be a dream.

[Door opens]

Finn: You ready for some good news? Sam, is something wrong?

Sonny: There's got to be another solution, so no-- nobody gets hurt. You understand? Listen to me, okay? I know that you're going through something. And you know you're like family to me, right? Okay? [Sighs]

Jason: Hey, Carly.

Carly: Hey.

Jason: How's he doing?

Carly: Oh, he's, uh, he's resting. How's Sam?

Jason: She's also resting.

Carly: Mm.

Jason: The doctors say the more sleep she gets, the faster she'll heal, so...

Carly: Why do you still look worried?

Jason: She's restless and having a lot of bad dreams.

[Elevator doors open]

Jason: She can't seem to shake them.

Carly: Yeah?

Jason: Yeah.

Dante: Hey.

Carly: Hey.

Jason: Hi.

Dante: I got to follow up with Sonny.

Carly: All right, he's been asleep since you left.

Dante: I will keep it brief, I promise you, but I got to get his version of events while it's still fresh in his mind.

Carly: Okay. [Sighs]

[Door opens]

Dante: Oh, good. You're awake. You feeling better?

Sonny: I got to tell you -- pretty doped up. Can't feel my leg at all.

Dante: Probably a good thing. Yeah, that probably is a good thing. Uh...listen, I told Carly I'd keep this brief, so we'll start off with an easy question.

Sonny: Yeah?

Dante: Who shot you?

Ava: Mm. Don't bother. It's almost time for another dinner order. The liquor store is right near Noodle Buddha. So I'll have my little taskrabbit stop off at both places. Is there anything you want?

Kiki: I'm good. You have the delivery guy come every night?

Ava: Yes, I do. And they're very accommodating. They just drop it off outside for me, although I'm sure that they're dying to get a glimpse of the freak.

Kiki: Well, your rabbit is gonna have one less task tonight. Got to get going.

Ava: And where is it you think we're going?

Kiki: To the hospital. That therapy group that Dr. Maddox recommended meets tonight.

Ava: Mm. I'll pass.

Kiki: You know, he did save you a spot.

Ava: Well, he can go himself, then, if there's a spot. Talking about my feelings is not gonna change my face.

Kiki: No, but your face is healing, and I think it might help if you go talk about how that makes you feel.

Ava: I don't think I'd even get that far. I'd open my mouth to speak and just see everybody there staring at me.

Kiki: I think you might be surprised. Everyone in that group is dealing with their own pain. Last thing they want to do is cause you any more.

Ava: Pity, then. Well, that's wonderful.

Kiki: That's not what I said.

Ava: Or clichéd advice, right? [Sniffles] "Time heals all wounds." "Beauty comes from within." That doesn't change the fact that no one can look at me without flinching. There's no miracle worker.

Kiki: Mom, you were terribly injured. And even as much as I wish you weren't, there's nothing that we can do to change that. But you can still live your life. Just because it's gonna be different doesn't mean it's not gonna be worthwhile, and I think, if you go to this group, you're gonna see that, and I think you're gonna start feeling better.

Ava: You know something? I know what's gonna make me feel better -- a new bottle and another jar of olives. And you're welcome to join me if you want to. Or not.

Kiki: You know what, Mom, you're right. I don't know what I was thinking. If you want to keep punishing yourself, I won't stop you.

[Cell phone rings]

Griffin: Griffin Munro.

Kiki: Hi, Dr. Munro, it's Kiki. I'm sorry, I just -- I didn't know who else to call.

Griffin: Is this about your mother?

Kiki: Yeah. Seems like you're the only one who can get through to her, and I know you're really busy, but is there any way that you could come by tonight?

Griffin: Yeah, I will -- I'll be right over.

Raymond: You look surprised.

Hayden: I didn't think you'd agree to see me. Last time I came, you refused. I checked in at the front desk and went through the metal detectors, and I sat here in the visiting room waiting until a guard came in and told me you weren't coming.

Raymond: Yeah, I did you a favor. I didn't think you needed to see your old man behind bars.

Hayden: Then why didn't you call and tell me that? I never heard from you again. One minute I had a father, and the next I didn't. But I guess that's what happened, isn't it? When you found out Mom was unfaithful.

Raymond: Yeah, you're right. When I found out you weren't my biological child, I did what I always do when I'm disappointed -- put up a wall.

Hayden: Mm. I appreciate the honesty. So, what changed?

Raymond: I have a lot of time to think in here. And I realized that biology doesn't change the time that we had. Birthdays, the holidays, the big and little moments. And it wasn't all sunshine and roses, but it wasn't all bad either. Bottom line is, you'll always be my... my daughter, and I'll always be your dad.

Hayden: Yeah. You will. I guess we're even. I -- I will always be your daughter.

Raymond: I'm guessing you didn't come to wish me a belated "Happy Father's Day."

Hayden: No. I have to ask you something, and I need you to be honest with me. Is there anything left from the hedge fund?

Raymond: You're my daughter, all right. You came for the money.

Sam: Yeah, everything's fine. Just a few nightmares.

Finn: Okay. But otherwise, you're feeling all right?

Sam: Yeah. Great, actually.

Finn: I'm glad to hear it. And based on your lab results, it's exactly what I would expect.

Sam: Okay. Did you say something about good news?

Finn: Got your blood work back, and, uh, well, your white blood cell count is down significantly.

Sam: And that's good?

Finn: That's very good. It means that the antibiotics we gave you are successfully fighting off the infection. If this continues the way I anticipate, it should be completely eradicated in a few days.

Sam: That is good news.

Finn: Yes.

Sam: So does that mean I can go home soon?

Finn: I'm not the only doctor that needs to sign off on your release, Sam. You'll also need a clean bill of health from Dr. Munro.

Sam: [Scoffs] Wait a minute -- so you're telling me that I'm physically okay, but, what, mentally I'm still at risk?

Dante: When I was in here earlier, you said Garvey didn't shoot you.

Sonny: I know you were here earlier, but I don't remember a damn thing. I'm so out of it.

Carly: It's okay. Hey. You're recovering from surgery. Dante's questions can wait.

Sonny: No, it's okay. I want to clear things up.

Dante: Okay, good. If Garvey didn't shoot you, who did?

Ava: Kiki, you're still here. Should I make you a drink? Or are you working tonight? Balancing the scales for my many sins.

Kiki: No. Nothing I do will ever change what happened to Morgan.

Ava: I don't know why I said that. I didn't mean to say it, I shouldn't have said it. It's the vodka talking. I'm real proud of you. I think it's very noble that you spend your time helping others.

Kiki: Does that include you?

Ava: No, sweetie. I think I'm beyond your capabilities.

[Knock on door]

Kiki: Good thing I called in reinforcements, then. Thank you so much for coming. I really appreciate it.

Griffin: Yeah.

Ava: Dr. Munro. You have no business here.

Griffin: Kiki asked me to come.

Ava: She didn't have any right.

Griffin: She has every right, Ava. She's your daughter. She loves you, and she only wants you to get help.

Ava: By ambushing me with you and your sermons, Father?

Griffin: By forcing you to confront your situation head on. I realize that you're overwhelmed by everything that happened, but you can't keep yourself locked away.

Ava: What's my alternative? Trot myself off to Dr. Maddox's group therapy session? If I'm gonna open myself up to a bunch of strangers, there better be an open bar involved.

Griffin: That's not usually how therapy works, Ava. Look, I-I just want to make sure you have the support and security that you need.

Ava: You don't have to worry about that. 'Cause I have my brother, and Julian was good enough to file an insurance claim on the gallery, and thanks to the settlement, I will never have to leave my house again. I can spend the rest of my life behind that closed door, which -- believe me -- is what's best for everybody.

Griffin: How often have you practiced that speech? I mean, it's -- it's good. It's great. I almost bought it, but not quite. The only reason you are hiding out here is because you're afraid.

Hayden: You were taking in so much for so long, and you were always good at covering your tracks. You must have managed to hide something from the Feds in an account in the Grand Keys or Switzerland or some place. Just tell me how to access it.

Raymond: Sorry, Rachel. There's nothing left.

Hayden: Nothing?

Raymond: Not one nickel.

Hayden: [Sighs] I thought it was worth a try.

Raymond: You sound desperate.

Hayden: Oh, you have no idea. After you were convicted, no one in finance would touch me. I couldn't keep living my life as Rachel Berlin. It was too much. I was forced to change my name. And I figured out a whole new life to go along with it.

Raymond: Judging by that diamond, I'd say you pulled it off. So why do you need the money? Rachel, what is it?

Hayden: [Sighs] My fiancé, his name is Finn, and he's the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Raymond: Mm-hmm.

Hayden: He's a brilliant doctor. He even loves lizards.

Raymond: Lizards?

Hayden: You don't remember?

Raymond: Oh, the pet you had when you were a kid. How could I forget?

Hayden: He's perfect. And he loves me and he wants to marry me. We're gonna have a baby.

Raymond: I'll be a granddad.

Hayden: With Finn, I have a chance to make up for all the mistakes I've made. I can't lose him.

Raymond: Why would you? I mean, it sounds like you found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, the blue-chip stock that keeps paying dividends.

Hayden: There's a worm in the apple. My ex-husband... Jared.

Finn: The infection took a toll on your body, Sam, which could have led to a weakened resistance. The encephalitis caused confusion and disorientation.

Sam: Okay. So you're telling me that the hallucinations and the dreams that feel like memories, that's just all in my head?

Finn: [Sighs] That's probably a better question for Dr. Munro.

Sam: Come on, Dr. Finn, please. Dr. Munro is not here right now, and I need some answers. I need to know what's real and what's my imagination.

Finn: I understand how frustrating it must be to not know the truth. All I know is that stress will exacerbate the problem, so, for now, why don't you just let the meds do their work and try not to rush your recovery?

Sam: Hold on. Did you just tell me I could have some sort of relapse?

Finn: I'm advising you to let your body and your mind heal. I'm sure you'll get all the answers to your questions in time. [Sighs] I'll check in on you later, Sam, okay?

[Monitor beeping]

[Door closes]

Sonny: You're like family to me, right? I would do anything for you and Jason.

[Gunshot]

Dante: Sonny, if it wasn't Garvey who shot you, what, was there someone else there?

Sonny: The first shot was Garvey, but it didn't hurt me 'cause I was wearing a bulletproof vest.

Dante: Yeah. We got -- we got the vest. Ballistics has it right now and there's one slug in it.

Sonny: That was Garvey's 'cause it was an ambush. The bullet hurt like a son of a bitch. I -- I shot him... in self-defense.

Dante: So, Garvey had two bullet wounds.

Sonny: That's about right.

Dante: And you two were exchanging fire?

Sonny: Uh, something like that, yeah.

Dante: So, when did Garvey shoot you in the leg?

Sonny: [Laughs] It was a blur. The last thing I remember... he was shooting me, and I shot back.

Ava: Of course, I'm afraid. You'd be afraid, too, if you looked like this. Would you want to walk down the street every day, knowing that everybody who sees you is just gonna stare? You want to see little kids hide behind their mothers? [Voice breaking] Or worst of all, the really good people, 'cause they go out of their way to smile at you. And really, all you know is that they feel pity.

Kiki: Mom. Mom, please stop.

Ava: I wish I could stop, but I can't. It's the truth. Dr. Munro, I'm really sorry. But there just isn't any soul here to save.

Griffin: You think you can convince me that you have no soul?

Ava: [Quietly] I don't need to convince you. I know it's true.

Griffin: [Sighs] You remember our conversation that night at The Floating Rib? The night you bought me a drink?

Ava: [Sniffles] Yeah. Yeah, I do. I was just beginning to feel more hopeful about the future. It was a lifetime ago.

Griffin: You asked me... if there was a sin that couldn't be forgiven. Well, there is one -- despair. Once you give in to despair, you deny all the good things God has ever given you -- all the hope, all the forgiveness, all the love. You think you're protecting yourself, but you're condemning yourself to your own personal hell. What's worse -- a few strangers turn their back on you on the street, or you turn your back on God and all creation?

Hayden: I have a week to get Jared the money.

Raymond: Or he spills something that turns your future husband into a runaway groom.

Hayden: Yeah.

Raymond: I assume it's... something illegal.

Hayden: I'm the CFO of the hospital where Finn is on staff. Jared wants me to pay him by siphoning off money from the hospital bank account.

Raymond: So, you want me to explain the principles of creative accounting? You've always been brilliant at finance. You can move money around without leaving any fingerprints.

Hayden: It's not about covering my tracks. I'd be stealing. What's worse is that, Finn is the one who donated most of the money to the hospital in the first place.

Raymond: Oh, so, the good doctor has money.

Hayden: He could be a very wealthy man because of a medical breakthrough that he created. Instead, he gave the license fee to the hospital. And if I embezzle the money to pay Jared, then I'm betraying Finn's trust and the trust of the hospital board.

Raymond: Which is important to you.

Hayden: Yes. The hospital has been really good to us. It gave us both a shot at redemption.

[Cell phone dings]

Raymond: Is that from Finn?

[Cuckoo clock chiming]

Hayden: Jared.

[Cuckoo clock continues chiming]

Dante: You remember Garvey shooting you and hitting you in the bulletproof vest. When did he shoot you in the leg?

Carly: [Whispering] Here.

Sonny: What I remember is... he sent me a text of Spencer, where he was. He said, "Bring the money." And he had the... I had the place, and he was waiting for me. [Inhales]

Carly: You know what, Dante...

Sonny: No, it's all right. I got it. I got it.

Carly: ...These questions can wait till --

Jason: Yeah, Sonny needs to rest.

Carly: Let's go, boys.

Sonny: I could probably do it.

Carly: No, come on.

Sonny: Jason, Jason. How's Sam?

Jason: She's...

Carly: Wait. How do you know something was wrong with Sam?

Sonny: I heard you and Jason talking. She's in the hospital, right?

Jason: Yeah. She had an infection that caused her to hallucinate.

Sonny: Is she okay?

Jason: Yeah. She's getting the help she needs.

Carly: Sam needs her rest, just like you. Okay? Come on. Jason, Dante, let's go.

Carly: Hold on. I just want to have a minute with -- with Jason.

Felix: Hey, hey. Who said you could get out of bed?

Sam: I need to find Jason.

Felix: Okay, look, the man has barely left your side. As a matter of fact, he's kind of a nuisance. The nurses keep tripping over him. So, I'm sure he'll be back soon. In the meantime, you need to get some rest. The sooner you get better, the sooner you can get back home to those adorable kids of yours.

Sam: Is it true? Has Sonny been shot?

Felix: That's right. How'd you know that?

Sam: My, um -- my sisters texted me and they said that he has been shot, and I just didn't know how bad.

Felix: He was shot in the leg.

Sam: Okay.

Felix: He's gonna make a full recovery, so you don't have to worry. We're gonna take good care of him.

Sam: So, he's in the hospital? Here?

Felix: Mm-hmm. In fact, he's down the hall.

Sam: Okay.

Felix: Okay.

[Elevator bell dings]

Ava: O-okay. [Laughs] That's far enough.

Kiki: What is it?

Ava: Nothing, honey, I just don't need you to walk me to my therapy session like it's the first day of school.

Kiki: Oh, Mom, come on.

Griffin: Hey, your mom's right. We're here if you need us.

Carly: Whatever you need to say to Jason can wait.

Jason: You know what, Carly? Just give us a minute.

Felix: Hey. Fair warning, Epiphany told me to clear this room and let the patient rest. And if I can't get you guys out of here, then, she's gonna come in for backup.

Carly: No problem. We're leaving right now. Let's go, guys. Come on. Look, I understand that you need to be thorough, but can you please give your dad a little bit more time to recover before you start asking him detailed questions?

Dante: Sure. I thought he was gonna be a little more with it than he is right now.

Carly: Well, I'm sure once he's not so drugged up, he'll be happy to talk to you.

Dante: Yeah. Sure. Meds or no meds, I don't think he's gonna be interested in answering any police questions. I'll see you. I got to go.

Carly: Why did Sonny want to talk to you?

[Cuckoo clock chimes]

[Chiming stops]

Raymond: You could always call Jared's bluff.

Hayden: He isn't bluffing. He's got nothing to lose if he exposes me, and he's got everything to gain -- mainly a boatload of cash -- if I meet his demands. The worst part of this is, I brought this whole thing on myself. I did something wrong, and I tried to cover it up. I guess I really am your daughter, right?

Raymond: Well, whatever you did... you seem genuinely remorseful.

Hayden: I am. And I want to make up for it, but if Jared exposes the truth... I don't see how that's possible.

Raymond: Okay, you've got two choices, kid. You embezzle money from the hospital to buy Jared's silence. Or you go to Finn and you come clean, just hope that he forgives you. I guess our time is up.

Hayden: Already?

Raymond: I'm sorry it's so brief. I'm sorry it was so long in coming. You'll always be my little girl, Rache, no matter what. I hope you're happy, sweetheart.

Hayden: It means a lot to hear you say that.

Raymond: I've made a lot of mistakes trying to find what I was looking for. You are way smarter than your old man. I know you'll succeed.

Hayden: Dad... I think you're right.

Raymond: [Blows a kiss]

Ava: [Sighs] [Gasps] Sam, you startled me. Usually, it's the other way around these days.

Sam: No, I -- I wasn't startled. I helped you put on your mask the other day. I didn't imagine that, right?

Ava: No. It happened. You didn't flinch when you saw me, and I wasn't expecting that. I'm surprised to see you up and about. I heard you were very ill.

Sam: Yeah. I think I was. I'm feeling a lot better, though.

Ava: I'm very happy to hear that. You definitely were not yourself when you came to visit me.

Sam: I wasn't? How was I, exactly?

Ava: You don't remember blaming my scars on Sonny? You don't remember saying that, one day, he's gonna get what's coming to him?

Sam: I didn't imagine that?

Ava: I don't ever remember hearing you say one word against Sonny. But from the way you were talking, he could have been your worst enemy.

Felix: Are you feeling any discomfort?

Sonny: [Laughs] I'm so doped up I can't feel my leg.

Felix: Probably a good thing. Sooner or later, it's gonna hurt like hell. [Chuckles] Epiphany can't wait to get you back in PT.

Sonny: Well, Epiphany's about the toughest coach I've ever had -- even tougher than my boxing coaches. [Chuckles] She gets results. She got me out of that wheelchair and got me walking. She's gonna do the same, I know.

Felix: Well, it might be easier if you just avoid getting shot in the first place.

Sonny: Did Epiphany tell you to say that?

Felix: [Chuckles] No. Just an observation. You might be able to handle the wear and tear, but... it's hell on your family.

Jason: Sonny probably just wanted to ask me to look after the kids while he's laid up in the hospital.

Carly: I don't think that's it.

Jason: No? Okay. Then, what do you think it is?

Carly: Okay, what if Garvey has people out there, you know, and what if they want to come take another shot at Sonny?

Jason: Carly, you don't have to worry about that.

Carly: But Sonny could be worried, you know? And he wants you to look into it, but you know, he's... drugged up. He doesn't remember that you don't want to be involved anymore.

Jason: I'd get involved if I had to get involved. But I'm telling you, Sonny's safe. So, you got to stop worrying yourself about that, okay? Just relax.

Carly: What else am I supposed to do?

Jason: What are we supposed to do? You're supposed to look after Sonny, and I'm supposed to look after Sam, and we're supposed to thank God that they're both alive. Okay? It's all gonna work out. These are good things.

Carly: Yes.

Sam: Can you tell me exactly what I said about Sonny?

Ava: Well, I don't remember your exact words, but it certainly sounded like you hate him.

Sam: I don't -- no, I don't hate Sonny.

Ava: No, of course, you don't. You're part of that united front, aren't you? You and Jason and Carly and Sonny -- all for one and one for all. But from what I understand, you were very ill. Perhaps you were speaking from your subconscious. Maybe deep down, you don't like what Sonny does for a living, and you want Jason to get out, and you want to start a new life.

Sam: No, you don't know anything about what I want.

Ava: Okay.

Sam: [Sighs]

Ava: Maybe you should go back to your room.

Sam: You don't know anything about what I want.

[Knock on door]

Finn: Hi. You're back.

Hayden: Hi.

Finn: I, uh, I didn't keep you waiting, did I?

Hayden: Oh, no.

Finn: Everything okay?

Hayden: Yeah, of course, it is. Why wouldn't it be?

Finn: Oh, I don't know. I thought you said you were out shopping.

Hayden: I did.

Finn: [Laughs] So where are all the shopping bags? Didn't you find anything for our house?

Jason: Dr. Munro, is there an update on Sam?

Griffin: Uh, yeah, Dr. Finn has her on antibiotics to treat the infection. Now we just have to wait for them to work.

Jason: Uh, I got to ask you, Doctor, could there be any lasting effects from the encephalitis?

Griffin: Well, I could give you a bunch of medical jargon, but I don't think that's what you're asking for. What are you asking for?

Jason: Okay. Suppose somebody with Sam's condition did something that she wouldn't normally do, something they don't even remember, is it possible that, after the infection clears up, that they would do it again?

Griffin: Well, there are tests we could run to rule out further complications. If you want, I could talk to Sam and you about them, and you can weigh your options.

Jason: Thank you, Doctor. I appreciate it.

Kiki: Going somewhere?

Ava: I'm sorry, Kiki. I thought that I was ready to do this. Who am I kidding? I'm never gonna be ready to do this.

Griffin: And just how will you know if you're ready if you never actually try?

Ava: You two, you're not gonna quit, are you?

Griffin: Mm. Looks like she's learning.

Ava: All right. All right, I'll give it a shot. But the first time this group leader tells me to get in touch with my feelings, I'm out of here.

Hayden: You're right. I, uh, I didn't go shopping. I decided that we should make all those decorating decisions together.

Finn: Oh, you're too kind.

Hayden: Well, hey, if you're not careful, we'll end up with a neon-green rug and plaid curtains.

Finn: Perish the thought. Where were you?

Hayden: On my computer. I was looking through one of those exotic vacation websites, but all my hard work paid off. I got us a pair of plane tickets.

Finn: Plane tickets?

Hayden: Yeah. To someplace far away.

Sonny: Any more words of wisdom?

Felix: [Sighs] I'm sorry if I overstepped. It's just that, you know, Carly's a friend. Maybe you don't realize the toll this takes on her.

Sonny: Yeah, I agree. I appreciate you speaking on her behalf.

[Monitor beeping]

Sonny: Good night.

[Door closes]

Carly: Hey.

Felix: Hey.

Carly: Hi.

Felix: I just left Sonny. He's resting. You might want to do the same.

Carly: [Sighs] I will. Thank you for looking out for him. It means so much to me that you're watching over him. Thanks.

Felix: Oh, hey, Carly. I almost forgot. I have to turn in Sonny's clothes to the police. If none of it's gonna be used as evidence, do you want it returned to you?

Carly: No, it's ruined. You can just burn it.

Felix: Hmm, I don't blame you for not wanting to have any reminders of what you and Sonny have been through, especially now that it's over.

Jason: Hey, Sam. I...

[Monitor beeping]

Sam: This isn't what I want, Sonny, but I don't have a choice.

Sonny: Okay, Sam, listen. There's got to be another solution, so no-- nobody gets hurt. You understand? Listen to me, okay? I know that you're going through something. I understand. And you know you're like family to me, right? Okay? You understand what I'm saying, huh? I will do anything for you and Jason.

[Gunshot]

Sonny: I know it wasn't you, Sam. You didn't mean to do this.

Sam: Yes. I did.

Sonny: Sam. What are you doing here?

Sam: You're still alive.

On the next "General Hospital" --

Jared (to Finn): Hayden and I used to be married.

Dillon (to Ned): How long are you gonna pretend like you don't want Michael's job?

Olivia (to Monica): I am never gonna be part of this family.

Carly (to Nelle): How did you get that shell casing to begin with?

Oscar (to Josslyn): I gave you a necklace made from a bullet?

Sam: Sonny, I left you there to die!

Deanna (to Jason): Where did she go?
