[Soft rock music plays, man singing indistinctly]
Scott: What's with the stink eye?
Julian: Where should I start?
Scott: Ooh! Did somebody wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?
Julian: This is how you prepare for my trial?
Scott: Well, you know, a guy's got to eat.
Julian: Why don't you eat on your own time? Mine's running out.
Scott: You know, if you don't change your attitude, I might not share the good news with you.
Julian: [Sighs] What's that, Scotty? Ribs half price?
Scott: No, they -- they were out of the ribs. That's why I had the hamburger. So, now, you need to just give me a little credit here.
Julian: Well, why don't you earn that credit?
Scott: Okay. For the first time since you were arrested, I actually think we might win this thing.
[Door opens]
Josslyn: Hey.
Oscar: Hey.
Josslyn: Come in.
Oscar: I'm sorry to just show up, but, you know, when I heard the news...
Josslyn: Oh, my God, isn't it great?
Oscar: I'm so glad Spencer was found.
Josslyn: Yeah, and that he's okay -- I mean, aside from the fact that he broke his glasses.
Oscar: He got really lucky.
Josslyn: Yeah. [Chuckles]
Oscar: [Chuckles]
Josslyn: Thank you.
Oscar: Uh, what did I do?
Josslyn: Um, basically broke the case.
Oscar: In what universe?
Josslyn: Well, I mean, if you hadn't found the post-its.
Oscar: Spencer still would've escaped.
Josslyn: Maybe. But if he hadn't, I bet it would've been your evidence to make all the difference.
Oscar: You're right. They should, like, throw me a parade or put up a statue of me in the middle of town.
Josslyn: "Oscar the Great."
Oscar: Now you're talkin'.
Josslyn: [Chuckles]
Oscar: Well, anyway, I just wanted to come by because I knew how happy you'd be.
Josslyn: Backflips happy.
Oscar: [Chuckles] And I thought maybe we could celebrate.
Josslyn: With Spencer? Um, because he's probably going to bed soon.
Oscar: No. I meant you and me.
Josslyn: Oh.
Oscar: Is that, like, weird or...
Josslyn: No. No. Actually, it sounds really nice.
Alexis: Hi. All right. I-I have the baby.
Finn: Thank you for getting here so quickly.
Alexis: Okay, sweetie. Uh... What's going on?
Kristina: Is Scout okay?
Griffin: Uh, that's what we want to find out. Alexis Davis, this is Dr. Anderson, the head of the pediatric unit, and Ari, one of our best Peds nurses.
Alexis: Hi. This is my daughter Kristina.
Dr. Anderson: May we see the baby?
Alexis: Uh, yeah. This is -- this is Scout.
Dr. Anderson: Okay. Here you go.
Kristina: She just had a bottle, so be careful.
Alexis: Okay.
Dr. Anderson: Hey, there, Scout. Love your name. Very strong.
Alexis: Well, it's -- it's a strong name for a strong girl.
Ari: No outward signs of infection. Clear eyes. Lymph nodes and skin tone are normal.
Finn: That's all good. That's really good.
Ari: But we still need to run some tests.
Alexis: Okay, um, I'm gonna go with you.
Kristina: No, Mom. Uh, I'll go. You stay here and find out about Sam.
Alexis: All right, thank you, honey.
Kristina: I... I think she'll be less scared if I hold her.
Dr. Anderson: Sure.
Kristina: Nothing to be scared of. Ready to go, sweet girl? Yeah.
Alexis: All right, listen, you text me, all right, about anything.
Kristina: I will.
Alexis: All right. Okay, guys. I-I have a lot of questions.
Griffin: Yeah, if you don't mind, I'd like to start first. Has Scout exhibited any odd behavior lately?
Alexis: No. She's a baby. She -- she eats and sleeps. She cries.
Finn: No seizures?
Alexis: What?! No. Wh-what's going on?
Griffin: Has Scout exhibited any excessive irritability?
Alexis: All right, you know what? I-I don't know what's going on here. I want to see my daughter. She's sick. Where is she?
Jason: Relax. Just relax.
Sam: [Breathing shakily]
Jason: You're safe. You're here at GH. You're gonna be okay. Just have to relax. Can you do that for me?
Sam: You. [Breathing shakily]
Jason: Wh-what are you talking about?
Sam: Y-you're in the ground. You can't hurt us anymore.
Jason: Sam. Who are you talking to? There's no one --
Sam: Jason, turn around! He's right behind you!
Sonny: Killing me won't end it. Nothing will end it.
Sam: [Breathing shakily]
Garvey: We're gonna go inside. You're gonna get supplies, and you're gonna take me someplace quiet and treat me. You understand?
Elizabeth: Yeah.
Garvey: Let's go!
Elizabeth: Okay. [Exhales deeply]
Garvey: Well, well, well.
Elizabeth: [Breathing shakily]
Carly: I heard you were in town.
Elizabeth: You know this man?
Garvey: Carly and I go way back. Isn't that right, Carly?
Carly: Let her go.
Garvey: Or you'll what? Cry for help? Try it. See what happens. I'll give you a hint. It won't be good.
Josslyn: A celebration sounds awesome.
Oscar: Yeah?
Josslyn: Except no one's home.
Oscar: Right, and your mom wouldn't be too psyched about us hanging out here.
Josslyn: Okay, well, she likes you. Let's keep it that way.
Oscar: Well, that actually works out 'cause I wanted to take you someplace.
Josslyn: Really? Where?
Oscar: Well, if I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise.
Josslyn: Oh, come on. Give me a hint.
Oscar: Okay. It's really cool and has a killer view.
Josslyn: Do we walk or bike?
Oscar: Bike.
Josslyn: The footbridge?
Oscar: No.
Josslyn: The park?
Oscar: You really think that's where I'd go, the park?
Josslyn: [Chuckles] Okay. Good point.
Oscar: You're not gonna guess, because it's somewhere you've never been.
Josslyn: Impossible. This is Port Charles.
Oscar: You've seen every inch of Port Charles?
Josslyn: Pretty much.
Oscar: I'll bet you a sandwich at Kelly's.
Josslyn: Okay. You're on. But we have to be back in an hour because... grounded.
Oscar: Okay. An hour it is.
Finn: Sam is suffering from toxoplasmosis.
Alexis: I heard of that when I was pregnant.
Finn: Yeah, it's an infection most commonly picked up from animals.
Griffin: Yeah, we don't know when or where Sam contracted the illness.
Finn: Which is why we also need to test Scout.
Alexis: You think she passed the infection to the baby?
Griffin: Well, if she got sick while she was pregnant, it is a possibility, yes.
Alexis: Good God!
Finn: No, no. These are all big ifs. I mean, these... Scout is probably perfectly healthy.
Alexis: Well, what about my daughter? What -- what is her prognosis?
Finn: The severity of the illness varies greatly.
Alexis: Well, where is she on the spectrum?
Griffin: Listen, from what Jason has told us and what we have observed, the toxoplasmosis seems to be affecting Sam's neurological functions.
Jason: Sam, you have to listen to me. There's no one there.
[Monitor beeping]
Sam: You.
Jason: Sam. There's only two of us in this room.
Sonny: I'm not going anywhere, Sam.
Sam: He's right there, Jason. Look at him. He's always there. He's always here.
Jason: Who do you think you see, huh?
[Rustling]
Sonny: [Grunts] [Weakly] Got to stay awake. I got to stay awake. I got to stay awake. I can do that... for my kids. [Exhales deeply] What would I tell my kids if I could? [Breathing heavily] Dante, you're the oldest. It may surprise you, but I see myself in you even though I didn't raise you. Your loyalty and the way you love your family is... [Breathes shakily] It's a beautiful thing. [Grunts] You're always true to yourself... good or bad. And you got so much courage... and strength. Pass some my way, will you? I'm gonna need it.
Carly: Okay, okay. No yelling. No sudden movements. Just let Elizabeth go.
Garvey: No. It's not happening.
Carly: Why? What do you want with her?
Garvey: What do you think?
Carly: You're hurt.
Garvey: Give the lady a prize.
Carly: Who shot you? Sonny?
Garvey: And another one.
Carly: What happened between the two of you?
Garvey: Let's just say you should see the other guy.
Carly: What does that mean? What the hell did you do to Sonny?
Scott: You know, this hasn't been a walk in the park for me. You're not exactly a model client, I mean, with all of the crimes you commit and then turning down that great deal.
Julian: Oh, so it's a good deal to trigger a mob war, have the cops entrap Sonny? I'd be dead by now.
Scott: Not necessarily.
Julian: You getting paid, Baldwin?
Scott: Yeah.
Julian: That's what I thought. So all these opinions of yours are unwanted. Now, I thought you had something uplifting to share with me.
Scott: I do. I'm just not sure whether or not I'm gonna share it with you.
Julian: Okay.
Scott: Oh, come on, come on! What are you so touchy for?
Julian: You know what? This might be all fun and games to you, but this is my life on the line.
Scott: Yes. And I'm going to save your life. Now, sit down. I have been doing a lot of legal discovery this week, and I happened to get my hands on the prosecution's witness list.
Julian: [Scoffs] Isn't that, like, standard procedure or something?
Scott: Well, yes, but what's not standard is the prosecution have put all of their eggs in one basket, one person... Alexis. You can celebrate anytime you want.
Julian: What, this is your big revelation?
Scott: Yeah. And it's a good one.
Julian: They filed the motion for Alexis to be declared a hostile witness. Now, Alexis says that has a good chance of going through, which is actually the opposite of great.
Scott: Well, yes, I would agree with you. However, this is not just any trial, and Alexis, you see, she will be able to see the pitfalls where they're trying to get her to admit something. She's a very good attorney, top drawer. She's almost as good as me. So when she sees these pitfalls coming her way, then she'll mitigate all of the damage of your actions away from you.
Julian: Okay, you see, there, that, that sounds pretty good, actually.
Scott: Yes, it is good. Then I get her up on the witness stand, and I get her to admit that your sister, Olivia, was threatening your family. So the jury will now see you not as a bad guy, but as a hero.
Julian: I wouldn't go that far.
Scott: I would. This is a very emotional case. And I'll tell you something, the only one that's gonna be able to pull this off is Alexis Davis.
Finn: Has Sam seemed off or -- or not herself in any way?
Alexis: Off like a new mom is off.
Finn: Something's jumping out at you?
Alexis: [Sighs] She called her daughter by the wrong name once, that's it.
Finn: Okay, when was this?
Alexis: I don't know. A few weeks ago maybe.
Griffin: Well, did she seem ill at the time?
Alexis: She seemed a little run-down.
Finn: Feverish?
Alexis: I don't -- didn't take her temperature.
Finn: We're not trying to upset you.
Alexis: Well, it's too late. I'm upset. 'Cause here I thought my daughter was just being a-a new mom and being cranky and run-down, and now you're telling me she's sick, and she could've passed it on to her daughter.
Griffin: We're very sorry. We understand that this is frightening --
Alexis: Okay. I can't do this anymore. I-I need to see my daughter, and I need to see her now.
[Monitor beeping]
Jason: Sam. Sam? Hey! Hey, we need help in here! Sam, Sam, open your eyes. Open your eyes, Sam. I said we need help!
Finn: I'm here.
Griffin: What happened?
Jason: W-we were just talking, and she passed out.
Finn: Seizure?
Jason: No, no, no, no, not this time.
Griffin: What were you guys talking about?
Jason: I don't know. She says she saw somebody. Whatever it was, it definitely bothered her, but there's nobody in this room.
Finn: All right, listen, will everybody step out for a second? Deanna and I have to run her vitals, all right? Listen, I know you don't want to go, but it'll be a help to us and help Sam, okay?
Griffin: Come on. Please, guys.
Jason: Okay. Hey, uh, I'll be right back. I love you. I thought you were with Scout. Is she alone?
Alexis: No, she's with Kristina. They're doing tests on her.
Jason: How long did they say it's gonna take?
Alexis: They didn't say. Look, she was -- she was okay when she came in here. W-what's going on with Sam? Was she hallucinating?
Jason: I don't know what else you're gonna call it.
Alexis: Well, how long has that been going on?
Jason: I don't know. I've definitely heard her talking out loud, but --
Alexis: By herself?
Jason: Yeah, but when I ask her about it, she has a plausible excuse.
Griffin: So it wasn't until today that she really -- that she absolutely lost it.
Jason: No, today is the day.
Alexis: All right, so -- so is this the neurological thing you were talking about with the toxo whatever it's called?
Griffin: Yes, toxoplasmosis. Unfortunately, she has a severe case, and being that the symptoms have gotten worse, specifically the hallucinations, I believe the infection has caused encephalitis.
Alexis: Inflammation of the brain?
Sonny: [Breathes deeply] Stay up, stay -- [Sighs] Kids, kids, kids, kids. Think of the kids. Michael. Isn't it st-strange that I see myself in you... when you're not my blood? You're a thinker. You're a strategist. You're always weighing the odds, buddy. When you're angry... ...it's cold and calculated like me. But what sa-saves you... ...is your heart. If I were a different person, if I were a... better person, if I didn't love your mother so much... ...I would have you take over the business, buddy. But you're better than that. You're better than I am. I strive to be like -- [Inhales sharply] I strive to be like you, son.
Oscar: [Chuckling] I can't believe that you did that. I mean, that fence was high.
Josslyn: Okay, well, how else was I supposed to do it?
Oscar: Like I did.
Josslyn: Okay, well, it's way more fun to jump.
Oscar: If you say so. [Chuckles]
Josslyn: Do you think our bikes are gonna be okay, not locked up or anything?
Oscar: We're the only ones here.
Josslyn: Yeah. Yeah, we are. Wow.
Oscar: Told you. [Chuckles] It's pretty awesome, right?
Josslyn: What is this place?
Oscar: So you've never been here?
Josslyn: Yeah, yeah, you'll get your sandwich.
Oscar: See that brick building? It's an old whiskey distillery built in the 1800s.
Josslyn: Wow. That's so cool how it's right on the river.
Oscar: Well, they did it on purpose. It's how they transported the whiskey to market -- by boat.
Josslyn: You did your research.
Oscar: You know, I-I love stuff like this, places with a real story behind them.
Josslyn: Yeah, me too. So, what's with all the signs?
Oscar: They're going to demolish some of the buildings.
Josslyn: Not the old one!
Oscar: Well, I don't think so. I think it has historical value, so it has to be preserved. But they're okay to tear down the other buildings -- stuff that's only like 50 years old. Want to take a look around?
Josslyn: Yeah. Yeah, definitely.
Carly: Where's Sonny?
Elizabeth: [Gasps]
Garvey: Do I look like I have time for 20 questions?
Elizabeth: Carly, he's really bleeding.
Garvey: Thank you. [Breathing shakily] I need supplies. And I need them now. Antibiotics, tape, bandages. And your little nurse friend here was gonna help me, but then you showed up.
Carly: How do you think that's gonna work? You think no one's gonna notice that you're forcing her to get all that stuff? Or what about the whole bullet-wound thing? You'll be caught in two seconds.
Garvey: But you won't.
Carly: What?
Garvey: I stay right here with nurse nightingale while you go inside and get what I need.
Finn: Sam. Can you hear me? It's Dr. Finn. Look, I, uh... I know you're real tired, but I was wondering if maybe you can wake up for me. [Sighs]
Deanna: What now?
Finn: Prepare hot and cold water for the ear test. Hey. Hang in there. We're gonna find out what this is, I promise.
[Monitor beeping]
Griffin: Sam's symptoms check all the boxes for encephalitis -- fatigue, fever, confused thinking, seizures.
Jason: But it can be treated?
Griffin: Yes. There are treatments.
Alexis: Okay, well, then use them, please.
Griffin: We're doing everything we can for your daughter. The fact that she's here and we have a diagnosis, we're on the right track.
Alexis: What if -- what if those treatments aren't enough?
Griffin: Please try to stay positive.
Alexis: Okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Excuse me for a minute.
[Footsteps depart]
Scott: So, you see, the prosecution thinks that Alexis is a slam dunk, their golden goose. But she's gonna sink 'em. That's why I love the law.
Julian: My apologies for being so... hard on you earlier. You've clearly given this some thought.
Scott: Mm, apology accepted. Now, you need to buck up 'cause things are gonna turn around for you.
Julian: I didn't think that was actually possible. You know, if you're right about this...
Scott: If?
Julian: ...This could really change my life, give me a fresh start. And not just for me. I mean for Alexis and me.
Scott: Yeah. Let me ask you something. How do you do it?
Julian: Do what?
Scott: Alexis. She's smart. She's ethical. She holds on to a grudge, but, somehow, you are able to Svengali her. You have some kind of magic power over her.
Julian: I wish it was as simple as that, Scotty.
Scott: Well, if she gives you another chance, don't blow it.
Julian: I don't plan on it.
Scott: Okay. Now, I got to run. All this good news... I think I'm gonna let you pay for my hamburger.
[Cell phone chimes]
Josslyn: This place really is super cool. Thanks for bringing me here.
Oscar: I mean, you're the only person I thought would be into it. Glad I was right. Oh, hey, look at this.
Josslyn: What is that?
Oscar: I don't know. I love to make things out of the stuff I find. I could definitely use this.
Josslyn: You're a really interesting guy, Oscar. [Chuckles]
Oscar: Right back at you. Except, you know, a-a girl, not a guy.
Josslyn: Right. [Chuckles]
Oscar: I, uh, heard that the cask room in this place still exists.
Josslyn: Cask room? Uh, that's where they used to store the barrels?
Oscar: I bet some of those barrels are still around. Let's go see if we can find it.
Josslyn: [Chuckles] Okay.
Sonny: Don't go to sleep, don't go to sleep. Morgan, hey. Hey. I saw so much of myself in you. You're such a charmer, boy. You're so...impulsive and leap before you look. And you suffered the same darkness that I did. With so much strength. [Sniffles] So proud of ya, boy. [Grunts]
Josslyn: Whoa. Did you hear that?
Oscar: What?
Josslyn: Sounded like kids laughing.
Oscar: Are you sure?
Josslyn: No, but we should probably check on our bikes. I mean, my mom will kill me if that thing gets stolen.
Carly: I can't walk in the hospital and just start grabbing supplies. I don't work there.
Garvey: Well, you better find a way. If you're not back in 10 minutes, it won't be good for your friend here.
Carly: Okay, do you have any keys, Elizabeth, anything that I could use?
Elizabeth: Can I reach in my pocket?
Garvey: Slowly.
Elizabeth: I'm just getting keys.
Garvey: Go.
Elizabeth: Here's my keys. The little one will open the drug cabinet. There -- there will be antibiotics in there, and the rest of the stuff you can find in the -- down the hall.
Carly: I'll figure it out. It's okay.
[Keys jingle]
Carly: Don't hurt her.
Garvey: Don't give me a reason to, and I won't. [Coughing]
Carly: I'll be right back.
Garvey: [Coughing]
Carly: Elizabeth, look out!
Alexis: How long does it take to take somebody's vitals?
Griffin: Dr. Finn just wants to be thorough.
Alexis: [Sighs] I hate this. I really hate this, not being able to do anything.
Jason: What about my daughter? She's been in Pediatrics for a very long time.
Griffin: Again, it's -- it's the same thing.
Alexis: Oh, no.
Jason: Don't tell me.
Kristina: No. No, it -- it's good news. She's okay.
Alexis: Scout's okay?
Kristina: Yeah, she passed all the tests with flying colors.
Alexis: Okay.
Kristina: Yeah, no infections, not even a hangnail. She's perfect.
Alexis: All right. That's good news.
Kristina: They said that we can take her home tonight. I just -- I wanted to give you the good news. I'm gonna go pick her up in a second.
Jason: That's good.
Alexis: We could all use a little of that, right?
Jason: Yeah.
Kristina: How's Sam?
Jason: Mm.
Finn: Keep an eye on her. I'll be outside if anything changes. And take her vitals.
Deanna: Wait. Again?
Finn: I'd like to give her family some hope. And any improvement, no matter how small, will be a big help.
[Monitor beeping]
Kristina: I'm gonna call Molly and give her an update.
Jason: Thank you. Hey.
Alexis: How is she?
Jason: How's Sam?
Finn: Sam has lapsed into a coma.
Alexis: What?
Finn: It's too soon to tell what this will mean for her recovery. It's probably just her body needing some extra time to heal.
Jason: I want to see her.
Finn: Not now.
Jason: I've been out here too long already.
Finn: I understand. Deanna's taking her vitals.
Alexis: She just did that.
Finn: I know, I know. But it's critical we take exact records right now, all right? It will only be a few minutes. Then you can have all the time you need. You have my word.
Jason: Okay.
[Door closes]
Julian: What's going on with our daughter?
Alexis: It's serious. It's bad. Yeah, she's in a coma.
Garvey: [Grunts] Elizabeth, go. Get help.
Elizabeth: No, I'm not gonna leave you with him.
Carly: I will be fine, okay? Right, Garvey? Like you said, we go way back. This guy can barely move. Go.
Elizabeth: Okay. Just be careful.
Carly: Oh, I will.
Garvey: [Groaning]
Carly: You want me to stop? Tell me where Sonny is!
Josslyn: [Laughs] Okay, well, you can stop laughing now.
Oscar: I'm not laughing at you.
Josslyn: Yes, you are.
Oscar: Yeah, I just never knew a flock of geese can sound so much like kids laughing.
Josslyn: Okay, but they really did, though, I swear. What? What's wrong?
Oscar: You don't think the geese will steal our bikes, do you?
Josslyn: You're never gonna let me forget this, are you?
Oscar: No. Probably not. [Chuckles]
Sonny: Ow! [Laughs] [Grunts] [Sighs] [Breathing heavily] [Sighs] Okay. Don't sleep. Kristina. Out of all my kids, you and I are the most alike. Stubborn, volatile, so full of fire. First one to call somebody out on their lies. But... ...you don't have the -- the calculating part. You don't have a cruel bone in your body. You're so full of passion. And that passion lights up the world.
Julian: A coma? What happened?
Alexis: They don't really know yet. She has something called toxoplasmosis.
Finn: You get it from animals, usually birds or cats.
Julian: Sam doesn't have any pets.
Finn: Which leads me to believe the contact happened in the wild. Immune system was compromised at the time -- far more than initial blood tests would've indicated.
Jason: In the wild? Compromised immune system?
Alexis: The night Scout was born.
Jason: Yeah. The night your sister kicked Sam off a bridge onto an embankment, and she gave birth to our daughter in the freezing cold. Does that sound like a possible explanation for this? What do you think, Julian? Does that sound about right to you?
Kristina: I gave Molly the update on Scout. What the hell is he doing here?
Julian: Kristina, please listen to me.
Kristina: Do you think Sam wants you near here under any circumstances? She hates you, and with good reason. It's your fault that she almost died. Kristina. Because you didn't have the guts to warn her about Olivia.
Jason: That's also the reason why we're here.
Kristina: What?
Jason: Sam's in a coma.
Kristina: A coma?
Jason: Yeah. Because of what happened the night she gave birth to Scout... the night your sister attacked her.
Kristina: If you had just said something!
Julian: Look, I couldn't, Kristina. If I had, she would've hurt my entire family, including your mom.
Kristina: Oh, stop, stop. I don't believe any of that. The only person that believes that is you. And I guess you, too. So if you want to go ahead and lie to yourself, do it. Knock yourself out, but don't inflict him on the rest of us.
Alexis: Now is not the time.
Kristina: Oh, when is, when Sam's dead?!
Alexis: Stop it. Enough.
Kristina: You know what? It is enough. How dare you show up here?
Alexis: I asked him to because I thought he should know.
Kristina: What is wrong with you? Sam needs our strength and support right now, nothing but good vibes, not this! She isn't strong enough to say it, so I will. Do not come near my sister or my niece or my nephew or anyone in my family. If you do, I will stop you, and don't think I can't. My father is a hell of a lot more powerful than you.
Carly: Elizabeth is inside, and she's notifying security, and they're calling the cops. And a medical team will be here any minute to take you inside, but don't you think for one second, because you're in the hospital, you're safe. You messed with the wrong family! Now, you tell me what the hell you did to Sonny.
Garvey: [Chuckles, breathing shakily]
Josslyn: Oh, I should probably get back.
Oscar: Hour's up?
Josslyn: But I'll race you to the bikes.
Oscar: Oh.
Josslyn: Prepare to lose!
Oscar: Hey, watch out for the geese!
Sonny: [Grunts] [Breathing heavily] [Groans] Oh, boy. Avery. [Chuckles] My baby girl... with that beautiful smile. I don't know what you're gonna be like when you... ...when you get bigger. But I want to be there when you find out. I want to find out. I want to be your dad. [Breathing heavily] God. Please let me be there.
Griffin: Hey, maybe you guys want to have this conversation in private. I could see if there's a conference room available.
Kristina: That's okay. Thank you. I've got nothing left to say.
Julian: What about you? I'm here. Might as well get your licks in.
Jason: I think Krissy pretty much summed it up. My time is better spent focusing on my wife and daughter, but, uh... I'm not gonna forget, and neither will Sam. So why don't you just...
Kristina: I know Danny's at the Quartermaines'. I'm gonna go back to Pediatrics and pick up Scout and take her home to your place.
Jason: You're sure?
Kristina: Absolutely. That way, you and my mom can be here for Sam.
Jason: Thank you. You really stepped up for us today.
Kristina: Mm, this is my family. No one's more important than you guys.
Jason: Keep me posted about Scout.
Kristina: As long as you do the same.
Jason: I will.
Alexis: I'll make sure I keep you in the loop.
Kristina: [Scoffs]
Deanna: I'm done taking Sam's vitals if anyone wants to visit. Just one at a time, though.
Jason: Any changes?
Deanna: Not yet, no.
Jason: Do you mind if I go first?
Alexis: No, no, go. Go, go, go. It's fine.
Jason: It would really be a good idea if he wasn't here when I got back. Thank you.
[Monitor beeping]
Julian: [Sighs]
Alexis: You need to go.
Julian: Alexis, please.
Alexis: Uh, Kristina was right. Sh-- [Sighs]
Julian: She's angry right now, okay?
Alexis: No.
Julian: And she's terrified for her sister. It doesn't make her wrong.
Alexis: Sam would not want you here, and it's time that I respected that.
Julian: I'm sorry for the... part that my sister played.
Alexis: The part that you played.
Julian: You think I wanted this to happen?
Alexis: No, I don't. But it did. You need to go.
[Monitor beeping]
Jason: Could you... give me a moment alone with her, please?
Finn: Of course. We'll be right outside if you need us.
Jason: Thank you. Look, I don't know, um... how to tell you this, but, uh... I know it's not fair, but we didn't quite get through that night on the embankment -- at least not yet. But we can still beat this. And I can't imagine how... tired you must be, how hard this is for you, but you didn't give up then, so don't you give up on me now. [Sighs] Look, I don't know, um... if you heard me the last time we were in this place, but I'll tell you as many times as you care to listen. There is no life for me here without you. So I'm gonna stay right here next to you, and I'll just wait for you to wake up and tell me that you love me, too. Does that sound good to you?
Oscar: Do you think those kids -- I mean geese -- followed us home?
Josslyn: You're hilarious. You know that?
[Both chuckle]
Oscar: Look, no cars in the driveway. Looks like you're in the clear.
Josslyn: Yeah. I mean, the last thing I need is to be grounded indefinitely.
Oscar: Yeah, me too.
Josslyn: You're not in trouble. [Chuckles]
Oscar: No, I mean, like, the last thing I need is for you to be grounded. Then who would I hang out with?
Josslyn: You act like you have no friends besides me, I mean, which I know for a fact isn't true. I mean, at school, you have Grayson, Michael, Chris.
Oscar: Okay, yeah, the kids at school are okay. But nobody's into the same stuff you are, and they're all on their phones like 24/7. I don't know. Does that sound, like, so lame?
Josslyn: Not to me.
Oscar: Oh, well, I better get going 'cause -- you know, before your mom gets home.
Josslyn: Uh, yeah, good idea. [Chuckles]
Oscar: Okay, well, I'll see you tomorrow at Lila's Kids?
Josslyn: I'll be there.
Oscar: Cool.
Josslyn: Hey, Oscar. Thanks again. You know, I really had fun tonight.
Oscar: We'll do it again soon. Maybe?
Josslyn: I'd like that. [Chuckles]
Oscar: [Sighs]
Carly: Wipe that smile off your face, and you answer me! What the hell did you do to Sonny? [Groaning] Where is he?!
Garvey: [Breathing shakily] I killed him.
Sonny: Can anybody hear me?! Get me out of here!
On the next "General Hospital" --
Jason (to Griffin): Can you help my wife?
Nathan (to Valentin): You keep trying to worm your way back into Nina's life, you'll regret it.
Finn (to Hayden): Dare I ask what this is about?
Hayden: Marriage.
Jared (to Dr. Obrecht): I am leaving Rachel and my past behind.
Carly (to Dante): Sonny's alive, and he knows where he is!
Sonny: Please, God. Help me.
