Michael: Hey. Hey.

Nina: Hi!

Michael: Uh, do -- do you have a minute?

Nina: Um, yeah. I'm up against a deadline, but yeah, sure.

Michael: It w-won't take long.

Nina: Okay.

Michael: Um... so, I'm, um, assuming you spoke to Nelle?

Nina: No, I did not. Why?

Michael: Well, I-I overheard her, um, leaving you a message a couple hours ago.

Nina: Oh, I haven't listened to my messages.

Michael: You should probably listen to this one. She, um -- N-Nelle is quitting.

Nina: Why?

Michael: Well, I got the impression that she didn't want to spy on your husband for you.

Charlotte: Nina! Where were you?

Nina: Hey, what are you doing here? Did your papa bring you here?

Charlotte: No, Lulu did. We're getting ice cream.

Lulu: Charlotte, why don't you go order a scoop? Oh, you know what? Let's make it a sundae.

Nina: Um... yeah, that's yummy. Go for it. What are you doing? You don't have a visit today.

Lulu: Charlotte was just left waiting for almost a half an hour at school for someone to pick her up. The school secretary finally called me. Where the hell is Valentin?

Nina: Why didn't they call Nelle?

Lulu: They did. But just like Valentin, Nelle was a no-show.

[Waves crash as Nelle lies unconscious on the pier]

[Door opens]

Elizabeth: All right, everybody file in.

Franco: Aiden, Aiden, hold on a minute. Let's leave this little piece of the park outside, okay?

Elizabeth: [Chuckles]

[Door closes]

Elizabeth: Hey, you're awfully quiet. Is everything okay?

Jake: I think he just misses Cam. That's all.

Elizabeth: Is that it?

Aiden: Yeah.

Elizabeth: Well, guess what -- your brother is coming home tomorrow from his Scout trip.

Franco: These kids are probably just worn out, right? I mean, magic's hard work. You totally scored with that gift from your cousin. You can open the rest of your presents tomorrow when Sam and your dad are here.

Jake: Okay.

Elizabeth: But first, before we get ready for bed, I think we need a little milk...

Franco: And cookies! You can't have milk without cookies.

Elizabeth: Yes. Exactly.

Jake: Remember, you can't tell anyone about what you saw. Not even Cam.

Aiden: But what is it?

Jake: It's a secret. I'm the only one who knows what to do with it.

Griffin: [Sniffles] [Sighs] [Sniffles] [Sighs] Nothing. Anna, hey, uh... it's Griffin again. Look, I know you said you didn't want me, uh, hovering, but that's -- that's too bad. You're stuck with me. Look, what I said in the park still stands. I just want to make sure you're taking care of yourself. Meanwhile, if you, uh -- if you need a shoulder to lean on or somebody to just go running with, I'm here. Uh, that's it. I-I look forward to hearing from you.

Anna: [Groans]

Dr. Lancaster: Sister Crane, where's that sedative?

Sister Crane: Right here, Doctor.

Anna: No. Please. It's a mistake.

Sister Crane: Is another injection really necessary?

Dr. Lancaster: Dr. Marick must be sedated all times.

Alex: Oh, come on. After all this time, it'd be fun.

Valentin: Is this what you want?

Alex: I just want you.

Valentin: [Grunts] No. You just want The Chimera. And after all this time, I'm one step ahead of you.

Alex: You broke my necklace.

Valentin: I'm sure it can be fixed.

[Necklace clatters]

Valentin: This, however, might be a little trickier. And even if you can fix the watch, you see that little listening device that you put? That's a goner. Which is just as well. Because I don't want anyone listening in to what's about to happen.

Dr. Lancaster: There. She shouldn't give us any more trouble until the morning.

Sister Crane: Trouble?

Dr. Lancaster: The patient is disorientated. We don't want her waking up and causing herself any harm. Understood?

Sister Crane: Yes, Doctor.

Dr. Lancaster: Wonderful. You do your job, and I'll do mine.

Anna: [Thinking] I can't give in. I have to -- I have to fight it.

Valentin: See, I'm disappointed. You're a good secret agent. You can think on your feet. Spin this. Come on, lie to me. Why don't you tell me that Nina framed you, planted the listening device in the watch, and then she pretended to discover it. Wait, no, because then that doesn't explain why you always know where to find me and when to call me, and why you wouldn't take the watch back when I tried to give it to you.

Alex: Okay, I was spying on you. But let's be honest. I didn't --

Valentin: [Chuckling] Yeah, let's be honest.

Alex: [Laughing] Well, I didn't force the watch on your wrist. You took it because you wanted it, because it was from me.

Valentin: Because I'm an idiot.

Alex: No. You just have a very large blind spot.

Valentin: You!

Alex: No, yourself. You see, you have created this whole life that you wanted for yourself. And now it includes Nina and Charlotte -- this perfect little family, but that's just a fantasy...right? It's an illusion. You and I -- we come from the same place. We've made the same compromises. And Nina -- she can never know you the way I do. Maybe that's why you want me more. Is it? Look, I lie. You lie. But within those lies are a truth, and that is a truth that maybe Nina can never really understand.

Valentin: Let me tell you what I understand -- that you wanted The Chimera so much, you were willing to trash my life a second time to get it. And now -- now you're gonna try to seduce it out of me? Good luck with that.

Aiden: What does it do?

Jake: I told you -- it's a secret. And you weren't supposed to see it. I'm the only one who can use it. Got it?

Elizabeth: All right. Here you go, babe. Here. Are you sure you're okay?

Jake: I think he's tired.

Elizabeth: All right, maybe this was too much. You know what? Milk and cookies can wait until tomorrow. Let's get you upstairs, get your jammies on, and brush your teeth -- all of them -- and I'll be right up to tuck you in, okay?

Franco: Let's get this put away for the night, okay?

Jake: Don't -- don't touch it.

Elizabeth: Jake!

Jake: Sorry. But a good magician can't risk anyone finding out his secrets.

Franco: He's got a point. Jake, you know, um, I've been meaning to ask you something. The, uh, Nurses' Ball -- you know, they start rehearsals tomorrow, and I would never have the guts to go up there and perform on my own. But we did make a pretty good team last year. So, uh, what do you say? You want to do an encore?

Jake: I want to do a solo.

Franco: Okay. You don't want to share the spotlight? That's cool. I -- I get that.

Elizabeth: And what are you gonna do for your solo act?

Jake: Magic.

Griffin: Hey, Charlotte. You, uh, you need any help with that?

Charlotte: No, thank you.

Griffin: Um... hey, look. I-I know last time you saw me, your father and I had angry words. Or maybe more than just words, but I'm -- I'm -- I'm sorry about that. I-I-I didn't mean to scare you. Do you think we could... [Laughing] Still be friends?

Charlotte: Papa says I should be polite to you.

Griffin: Okay. Uh... in that case, do you mind if I join you?

Charlotte: If you want.

Lulu: I just don't understand how, after lording it over me for months and insisting that Charlotte belongs with him, Valentin can't be bothered to listen to his messages or pick his own daughter up from school.

Nina: Uh, Valentin was otherwise engaged.

Lulu: What about you? You say you care so much about Charlotte. Where were you?

Nina: Hey, listen, Charlotte was at school. She wasn't inside a burning building. And this was good, right? You got to spend time with her. Isn't that what you want?

Lulu: What I want is to know that Charlotte isn't being abandoned in public places. And what about Nelle? Where is she?

Nina: Uh, I don't know.

Michael: It's -- it's hard to believe that -- that Nelle would just abandon Charlotte. Um, excuse me one second.

Lulu: You're being really quiet. You don't even care?

Nina: How I'm feeling is none of your business, Lulu.

Lulu: Okay. So, the nanny is MIA. Valentin is nowhere to be found, and you're acting like you can't even be bothered. As Charlotte's mother, I am entitled to know what the hell is going on.

Nina: Don't you have enough to deal with in your own life without meddling in mine?

Lulu: Oh, trust me -- I would care less about your life if it didn't impact my daughter's. Look, Charlotte was forgotten in the middle of whatever this drama is that you and Valentin are absorbed in, and I want to know why.

Griffin: May I have a bite?

Charlotte: Yes, it's polite to share.

Griffin: All right. Let's see. Mmm. That hot fudge is really good.

Charlotte: It's my favorite.

Griffin: Mmm. Look, hey. I know you're, uh -- I know you're happy with your papa, but not a day goes by where I don't, uh, think about you or wonder what you're doing. Now I know you like to eat hot-fudge sundaes.

Charlotte: I do more than that. I do a lot in school.

Griffin: Oh, yeah? Oh, wow. This -- this looks like fun. Wait, I bet I know what you're thinking. "Who should I invite?"

Charlotte: How did you know that?

Griffin: Just a lucky guess. Look, I think you should invite everyone. Uh, your papa, Nina, Dante, Lulu.

Charlotte: Would "everyone" mean you, too?

Griffin: Yeah, uh... yeah, I would -- I would certainly love -- love to be there.

Charlotte: Not if you're gonna fight with Papa.

Griffin: I'm not gonna fight. I'm not gonna fight with your papa. All right, at Maxie and Nathan's wedding, I...lost my temper for a number of reasons, and I acted badly. I'm sorry for that -- m-mostly because I knew it upset you. Do you think you could forgive me, maybe give me a-a chance to do better?

Nina: Listen, Lulu, if you weren't available, the school would've called, uh, Valentin. They would've called me. That's what emergency numbers are for. And I'm sorry that I'm not getting all dramatic about this, but I'm -- you know, I'm trying to show Charlotte by example that when things don't go your way and things get messed up, that you just deal with it. You adjust, and you move on.

Michael: Okay, I, uh -- I just called Wyndemere. The housekeeper said that Nelle's things are still in her room and that she hasn't seen Nelle since this morning. Um, I called Nelle, but she didn't answer.

Nina: That doesn't sound like Nelle. What happened?

Michael: I'm -- I'm gonna go to Wyndemere to check things out. Are you -- are you heading home with Charlotte?

Nina: Um, no, no, but you go. Go ahead. And, um, when you get in touch with Nelle, just tell her to call Valentin.

Michael: Okay. All right.

Nina: Okay.

Lulu: You still haven't told me what was more important to Valentin than his own daughter.

Nina: Um...yeah. I have no time to deal with you right now.

Lulu: Oh, well, that's too bad 'cause being responsible for a child is not always convenient. Don't you care that Charlotte was worried? She thought that her father might have left her the way Claudette did.

Nina: Valentin would never do that.

Lulu: Oh, right. Right, because you know him, don't you? You married the man five minutes after meeting him, but you can see into his heart. Just an open book, no secrets between the two of you? You know what? Tell Valentin that this little stunt is gonna cost him.

Nina: Okay, you tell him because I'm not going back to Wyndemere.

Elizabeth: I'm glad you like Spencer's gift so much. You've really thrown yourself into this new hobby.

Jake: Hobby?

Franco: Yeah, hobby. Like stuff you do for fun, like the magic stuff.

Jake: It's not a hobby.

Elizabeth: You know, your dad told me that the two of you had a really great talk today in the park. Do you feel better about things?

Jake: What -- what things?

Elizabeth: You know, the -- the things that you've been trying and things that happened on the island.

Franco: You know, I was on Cassadine Island with your dad. It's a pretty scary place.

Jake: I'm not scared. Not anymore.

Elizabeth: Good. That's really -- that's really, really good. It's been a long day. You want to get ready for bed?

Franco: Hey, you know what? I have a different idea. Um...[Chuckles] If you're gonna perform at the Nurses' Ball, you should probably practice. Why don't your practice some of your magic right now in front of me and your mom?

Jake: Are you sure?

Franco: Absolutely. Come on, dude, let's see what you can do.

Sister Crane: I know you saved Dr. Marick's life, and I'm grateful for that. But still...

Dr. Lancaster: I don't want your gratitude or your opinion, Sister Crane. Just call me at once if the patient awakens.

[Monitor beeping]

Anna: Don't listen to him. Help me.

Sister Crane: Don't fight it, love. Just rest.

Alex: Yes, I want The Chimera, because we both know that if it ends up in the wrong hands, it would be catastrophic.

Valentin: The buyer is dead. The Chimera is gone. It's forgotten.

Alex: Not by me. It's still out there. It needs to be contained.

Valentin: You didn't care so much when you asked me to steal it, now suddenly you're using your powers for good?!

Alex: No, I'm doing this so that we can get past it. For us. For what might have been. For what could still be, if you want.

Valentin: You're delusional. And you are so freaking arrogant. [Scoffs] We are well past the point where I believe a single word you say.

Alex: No, I'm just stating facts, Valentin. I feel very alive when I'm with you. Don't you feel the same way, like this pull between us? You know, it's stronger than all the lies that we tell ourselves and each other. It's -- it's just more than that. And you do know the only reason that you're still alive is because I couldn't bear to see them kill you. And that's why I left that note there for you in Lisbon -- to warn you. And I let you disappear.

Valentin: You miscalculated. You didn't think I'd take The Chimera --

Alex: Oh, could you just forget about The Chimera and tell me where it is so that this can all be over?! [Sighs] Then maybe we can be together -- if you want.

Lulu: So you are not going back to Wyndemere?

Nina: Uh, not at the moment, no.

Lulu: You made it sound like more than that. Is there trouble in paradise, Nina?

Nina: Oh, come on, Lulu. If you must know, I'm up against a deadline at work. I'm gonna be working into the night.

Lulu: And what about Charlotte?

Nina: This is the best thing for her, please.

Griffin: Evening. Nina and Lulu. I was just, uh, on my way to the ER, and Charlotte here told me about her exciting spring festival at school. She invited a whole bunch of people, and I am lucky enough to be included on that list.

Nina: [Gasps] Oh.

Lulu: That is so generous, Charlotte. Don't you agree, Nina?

Nina: Yeah, I agree. Of course, I agree. It is your night. You can invite whoever you want.

[Both chuckle]

Griffin: Hey. I really look forward to seeing you. All right, I'll see you later.

Nina: Bye.

Griffin: See you, guys.

Charlotte: Nina, I'm ready to go home. Is Nelle meeting us here or Papa?

Lulu: Oh, um, Charlotte, where -- where's your backpack?

Charlotte: I'll go get it.

Lulu: I don't know what is going on in your real life, but I'll tell you what I do know. Charlotte is coming home with me tonight.

Michael: Nelle? Nelle, are you here? Oh, my God! Nelle! Nelle!

Nelle: Michael?

Michael: Hey, what happened? Okay, come here, come here.

Nelle: [Groans]

Michael: You're okay, you're okay, you're okay. You're okay. Hold on one second. Okay, hold on, you're gonna be okay. You're gonna be okay. You're gonna be okay. I-I need paramedics on Pier 54. A woman's been injured. She's in her early 20s. She's in and out of consciousness. Just please hurry.

Jake: Shuffle these cards and spread them face down on the table.

Franco: Me? You got it. [Clears throat]

[Both chuckle]

Franco: Usually really... good at this.

Elizabeth: Just pretend.

Franco: Okay.

Elizabeth: [Chuckles]

Jake: Okay. Mom.

Franco: Ta-da.

Jake: Pick a card.

Elizabeth: Okay.

Jake: But don't show it to me.

Elizabeth: Can I show Franco?

Jake: Yeah.

Franco: Aww.

Elizabeth: [Chuckles]

Jake: Is your card... the Queen of Hearts?

Elizabeth: Nice job, you little magician!

Franco: Okay, I don't mean to give you a hard time, but I know how you did it. They're -- they're all -- they're all Queen of Hearts. It's the oldest trick in the book. There, look, see.

Elizabeth: I think it was magic.

Jake: Actually, Franco, you're wrong. They aren't all queens.

Franco: They're not?

Elizabeth: Hmm.

Jake: Franco, look in your wallet.

Franco: [Chuckles] Okay.

Elizabeth: [Gasps]

Franco: Dude! Holy...

Elizabeth: Jake, that's amazing. How did you do that?

Jake: A magician never tells. Night.

Franco: Uh...

Elizabeth: [Chuckles]

Franco: He must have just... must have done it while we were at the park.

Elizabeth: Or maybe he really can do magic.

Franco: Yeah. It's nice to see him, right, like this? Not talking about scarecrows and Chimeras.

Elizabeth: [Sighs] Amen to that. I hope his performance is a big hit at the Nurses' Ball.

Franco: So, um... do you remember how nervous he was last year?

Elizabeth: I remember that you came to the rescue and helped him get over his stage fright.

Franco: Mm-hmm. I did. Yeah, I did. Come a long way since then.

Elizabeth: Maybe not far enough.

Alex: It's never really been about The Chimera project, has it? Or about spy versus spy. It's always just been about us, what we want, what we need. And in our world, passion and betrayal just goes hand in hand. And if you didn't know that or if you didn't want that as much as I do, then you would've stayed with Nina. And as for me costing you your marriage, while I was listening to your conversations with your wife, and you told her that you weren't chasing me and that you would be thrilled if you never saw me again. Isn't that the biggest lie of all?

Valentin: That's enough.

Alex: No, I'm just... just face the facts. Your marriage with Nina was never going to last, because she doesn't know you. She doesn't know the real you, the man you are inside. And she doesn't want that man. I do.

Valentin: Stop it!

Alex: What? Why? Don't! What? Are you gonna kill me? Or are you gonna make love to me?

Griffin: Nurse. What do we got?

EMT: Head trauma, unresponsive, multiple contusions on her back. BP is 88/42 and a heart rate of 130.

Griffin: What happened?

Michael: I-I found her unconscious on Pier 54. She -- she came to briefly. She seemed to recognize me. I-I think she was attacked and knocked out. Her phone and purse were missing.

Griffin: Any idea how long since the attack?

Michael: I don't know. Maybe -- maybe two hours.

Nurse: Is she allergic to any medication?

Michael: I don't know. Uh, but she only has one kidney.

Griffin: Let's get her in cubicle 2. Go. And also, we need to notify the police, let them know exactly what happened. You mind sticking around just in case they have questions?

Michael: Yeah, I'm not going anywhere.

Griffin: Come on. I need a stat X-ray. I need an SMP, a CBC...

Nina: Don't be ridiculous, Lulu. Charlotte is coming home with me.

Lulu: While you work all night? What, is she gonna sleep on the floor of your office, Nina? You know what? You don't even have any say in Charlotte's well-being. With Valentin MIA, I will be making the decisions.

Nina: No, you know as well as I do that you're not even supposed to have Charlotte right now. This is not a visit for you. It has to be supervised. If Judge Rawles finds out that you took Charlotte without Valentin's permission --

Lulu: If Judge found out that Charlotte was waiting alone wondering if the nanny and her parents had forgotten about her, she would finally see that Valentin's picture-perfect life isn't really picture-perfect after all!

Nina: We didn't know.

Lulu: You forgot her.

Nina: No!

Lulu: So did Valentin, and so did Nelle.

Nina: They didn't even call me.

Lulu: Because you're not her mother! I am.

Nina: I couldn't love that little girl more if I had given birth to her.

Lulu: If you really mean that, if those aren't just words, then you want what's best for Charlotte. Don't you?

Franco: Okay. What did I miss? You were so happy to see me when I showed up at the park.

Elizabeth: I was, despite what you did to Jason.

Franco: What did I -- all -- what I did to Jason was help him, okay? That man relates to the world through violence.

Elizabeth: That's not true.

Franco: And I thought if I gave him a taste of it, that he would remember what happened to him at Cassadine Island. It was important that Jake remember and see what it was that was scaring him. And it worked. Look, the kid's already way more himself.

Elizabeth: Yes, I-I know. He is, and I'm grateful.

Franco: Then what's the problem?

Elizabeth: The problem is you lied to me.

Franco: I didn't lie to you. I just -- I -- [Laughing] I didn't share all the details with you.

Elizabeth: You mean about the fact that you were going to Cassadine Island knowing that it was gonna be dangerous, knowing you would butt heads with Jason.

Franco: Okay, but you -- don't remind me.

Elizabeth: Well, somebody needs to! I thought we were in this together.

Franco: I think we are in this together, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Then why couldn't you trust me enough to tell me where you were going?

Franco: Because you were just gonna try and talk me out of it because you don't think I can play nice with Jason.

Elizabeth: [Scoffs] Apparently, you can't.

Franco: Don't do that. Don't try and protect me.

Elizabeth: Well, don't try to protect me.

Franco: I'm gonna protect you. I love you.

Elizabeth: Well, I love you, too.

Alex: Why do we keep doing this? Hmm? One step forward, two steps back. When what we really want is to be together.

Valentin: We don't always want what's best for us. Sometimes, it's just the opposite. Sometimes it's the things we crave that'll destroy us.

Alex: Okay, so what's the alternative, then? Hmm? We deny what we really want? We run from it? We hide from it? Everything we want is right here in front of us. Separately... we're each a force to be reckoned with. But united, we could be unstoppable.

Valentin: What would you have me do?

Alex: No more games.

Valentin: I agree. Game over.

Alex: Okay.

Valentin: You lose.

[Door opens]

Sister Crane: I'm sorry, Dr. Marick.

Anna: [Thinking] You can't sleep. You have to resist it. It's like an undertow in the ocean. The more I fight, the weaker I become. Don't fight the current. Slip out of it. Just slip away and rise to the surface.

Sister Crane: No, dear. You're gonna hurt yourself! Stop. Dr. Lancaster!

Anna: No. No.

Elizabeth: What were we fighting about again?

Franco: Who cares?

Elizabeth: Uh...

Franco: Wait, you care? Oh, then I care. I care a lot.

[Both chuckle]

Elizabeth: You were trying too hard to protect me from worrying about you.

Franco: [Sighs] That's just because you were trying to protect me from Jason.

Elizabeth: If I can't trust you to tell me these things, I'm gonna worry about you all the time.

Franco: I don't want you to worry about me all the time.

Elizabeth: Okay, so what's the moral of this story?

Franco: That if I ever go back to that creepy island, that you come with me?

Elizabeth: Close.

Franco: Okay. How about this? Whatever should come up in our life together, I will trust you to be able to handle it.

Elizabeth: Bingo.

Franco: It's your turn.

Elizabeth: Okay. From now on, I trust that you can take risks. Even if it's mixing things up with Jason, you will still come home to me and the boys.

Franco: Always. I think we're really good at this whole mature-relationship thing.

Elizabeth: [Chuckles]

Franco: And, you know, really, sometimes it can be really sticky.

Elizabeth: Well, some people have to learn the hard way.

Franco: Uh, well, maybe I just need my good behavior to be reinforced.

Elizabeth: Oh.

[Jake comes down the stairs while Elizabeth & Franco are kissing]

Charlotte: Nina. I'm ready to go home now.

Lulu: Charlotte, how would you feel about spending the night at my house tonight?

Charlotte: Why?

Nina: Um... well, listen. Listen. Um... I'm working really late tonight, and your papa is working late. And I just -- how about you do a sleepover at Lulu's?

Lulu: Rocco would be really excited to see you, and Dante tells the best bedtime stories.

Nina: What do you think of that?

Charlotte: I guess.

Nina: It's gonna be super fun. You know, it's really, really great to try new things.

Charlotte: Okay. I love you.

Nina: I love you. Have so much fun.

Charlotte: Thank you.

Lulu: Nina, thank you.

Anna: What am I doing here?

Sister Crane: Oh, you collapsed at your flat. Dr. Lancaster found you, and you've been under his care ever since.

Anna: No, no, no, no. That's not right. That's not right.

Sister Crane: I'm sure it must be disorientating, frightening to find yourself a patient, Dr. Marick. But I know you'd be the first to say that doctor knows best. Try and keep calm when I call Dr. Lancaster.

Anna: No, don't, please. Please don't. Listen. I'm not Alex. I'm Anna Devane.

Alex: Nothing's been lost yet. In fact, there's still a way that we can both win this scenario. You just tell me where I can find The Chimera, and then we'll both be free. But we'll be equals. You won't be that lonely, disfigured man. And I won't be a lying bitch. We'll just be two people who understand each other.

Valentin: You know the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. But you know what? I don't think that's true. I think it's addiction. Taking the same poison over and over again, thinking this time I can handle it, this time it'll be different. I've been addicted to you. All these years since the academy. Well, guess what -- I'm cured.

Alex: Oh, yeah? Just like that?

Valentin: Yeah, just like that. It's like a fever broke.

Alex: [Chuckles] Oh.

Valentin: It's a moment of clarity, and I know exactly what I got to do.

Alex: What? What have you got to do? What?

Valentin: I have often wondered if you ever pushed me too far... now I know.

Michael: [Remembering] Are you really serious about leaving Port Charles?

Nelle: Look, I know that you said that you might be able to forgive me someday. And I believe you. I mean, if any -- if anyone's able to rise above, it's you, Michael. But...I have a distinct feeling that... someday isn't gonna be any time soon. So -- so there's really no reason for me to stay.

Nurse: Does she need surgery?

Griffin: It's too soon to tell. I am... particularly concerned about the potential trauma to her kidney.

Sister Crane: In on what? You're not making sense. This is your clinic. I'll get Dr. Lancaster, and he can explain.

Nina: [Remembers] That's beautiful.

Valentin: So will you do me the honor of wearing this one?

Nina: Yes, I will.

Valentin: Will you continue to be my wife... for as long as we both shall live?

Nina: Yes.

Valentin: Nina. You stayed. I have so much to tell you.

Nina: Were you with Anna?

Valentin: Yes.

Nina: Uh...

Nina: Nothing more to say to each other.

Valentin: Let me thank you for forcing me to admit what I already knew. Anna was playing me. She was trying to get information, but because you warned me, I was able to stop her.

Nina: Stop her how?

Valentin: Anna Devane won't be coming between us again. Ever.
