[Knock on door]

Lulu: Hey. How's the injury?

Coop: A limb blown off is an injury.

Lulu: Well, I bet you wouldn't use a dirty sock to stop the bleeding. Sit, I have bandages. I feel like this is my fault, I shouldn't have told Logan what you said.

Coop: Well, don't apologize, all I should've given you a heads-up a lot sooner.

Lulu: I saw how he sucker-punched you. He was worse than wrong -- he took a cheap, which is what a coward does. I just -- I don't understand how he can be so awful one minute, and then -- I mean, was I imagining it, or does he have his good moments, too?

Coop: Yeah, well, Logan can be okay, all right, but then he can turn on you.

Logan: Maxie --

Maxie: Logan, I can't talk right now. We got a new shipment; I have to price and rack everything.

Logan: Uh-huh -- speaking of rack, do you know where your boyfriend is? He's with Lulu. You see, Coop and I got in this little -- scuffle, and, uh, Lulu got really, really protective about Coop. When I left, they were nursing each other's wounds.

Woman: You okay?

Jerry: Did I say you could talk?

[Speaking Russian]

Jax: Not that I haven't enjoyed your hospitality, gentlemen, but if it's a ransom you're after, you don't have to hold me prisoner waiting for someone else to pay it. I've got enough money to secure my own release. So why don't you just name your price and we can get down to it?

Man: You will have to talk to the boss first.

Jax: How does $5 million grab you, huh?

Woman: That's a generous offer. However, it's not your money that interests me.

Kate: As if calling me as a witness in a murder trial isn't bad enough, this ridiculous D.A. is refusing me access to my cell phone and my P.D.A. I have a magazine to run, and now because of this, I have a great deal of damage control.

[Kate sighs]

Kate: Do you have any idea what's taking so long?

Elizabeth: I think Ric is showing the jury a -- a tape of Jason being transferred to the PCPD. When he got out of the van, a group of gunmen opened fire.

Kate: Well, yeah, it was all over the news -- and Jason was in shackles and, clearly, he was firing in self-defense. Why is the D.A. wasting everybody's time replaying the tape?

Elizabeth: Because Ric is trying to make him look like a professional killer. And if the jury believes it, then Jason's going to spend the rest of his life in a prison cell.

Kate: What are you doing here?

Carly: I'm going to be a witness.

[Gunfire]

Ric: Um, Your Honor, I would like to show the footage in slow-motion to show --

Diane: Your Honor, objection. I -- I'm sorry, but the -- the district attorney has now been allowed to play the tape in its entirety twice. Slowing it down and playing it a third time is excessive. My client was the victim here. He was acting in self-defense.

Ric: The jury saw your clit shoot and kill three men while trying to escape police custody.

Diane: Objection -- conjecture! There is nothing on that tape to indicate that the ambush was the result of an escape attempt.

Ric: Well, maybe you should look at it again.

Diane: Oh –

Coop: Logan saved my life in Iraq and I can't forget that, all right, but there's a lot about him that's trouble. I mean, I don't know if that comes from a messed-up childhood, or what.

Lulu: Like maybe what happened in Iraq?

Coop: Yeah, that's for him to tell you.

[Coop groans]

Coop: We've all done things that we're not proud of.

Lulu: You, too?

Coop: Yeah, you bet. Oh --

Lulu: Oh, okay, let me help you. Hang -- hang on, hang on.

Maxie: Get the hell away from him.

Woman: What's that for?

Jerry: Keep your hair like that until I call you again.

Woman: For this kind of money, I'll look like any woman you want. Throw in an extra grand, I'll sound like her, too.

Jerry: I thought I was paying you not to talk.

Woman: All I'm saying is for the right price, I can be just like you woman you mentioned -- Irina, right?

Jerry: Shut up! Keep your mouth shut -- if you don't want to be shot like Irina was! Do you understand? Get out. Out!

Jerry: Get me an update on Jax. I want to know how well my brother is doing.

Irina: You'll have to excuse my friends. They can be overzealous at times.

Jax: That's one way of putting it.

Irina: You've healed up remarkably well, under the circumstances. Most men of your privilege and stature would have been broken within the first hour. Your willpower is quite impressive, Mr. Jacks. How is that?

Jax: You know, you seem to know who I am. But I'm at a disadvantage because I can't say the same about you.

Irina: That will come in time.

Jax: Why wait? I've already offered to meet your demands.

Irina: But you haven't even heard them yet.

Jax: If it's not about money, why are you holding me hostage?

Irina: Maybe I just wanted to spend some time with Jerry's little brother.

Lulu: Where do you get off warning Maxie about me and Coop?

Logan: She is dating the guy. I figure she has a right to know that her boyfriend's messing around on her.

Lulu: Oh, please, this has nothing to do with Maxie. You're just pissed at Coop for warning me about you, and so you're trying to get even by telling Maxie that something's going on between us?

Logan: Looks like I wasn't far off. You were just up in the guy's room, weren't you?

Lulu: And if I was, how is that any of your business?

Logan: Oh, come on, Lulu, the guy is playing with you.

Lulu: Ha -- that's actually funny coming from you.

Logan: What is that supposed to mean?

Lulu: You have been playing me from day one -- acting like God's gift one day, and then the next day some poor, misunderstood vet, and I actually almost bought it. I wanted to believe that underneath all that attitude was a decent guy worth getting to know, and then you go and pull something like this? Why? Do you want me to hate you, because it's actually working.

Kate: Who called you as a witness?

Carly: No one -- I volunteered.

Elizabeth: You can't do that.

Carly: I don't care. After what Sam did to Jason, he needs someone in that courtroom who cares and loves him.

[Elizabeth snickers]

Kate: Well, and that person would be you?

Carly: Yes, it is.

Elizabeth: Well, there's nothing you can do.

Carly: Yeah, you would think that. You would, because you're passive. You never put yourself on the line for Jason, even though he's done it for you a thousand times. Jason and I are different. He needs me, and I'm here.

Elizabeth: Yeah, well, that's real smart, Carly. Scheme your way into a courtroom -- that's going to help.

Kate: You can't just waltz up to the stand claiming you're a witness. You have to be on the guard's list.

[Door opens]

Officer: Ma'am, I'm going to need to see a copy of your subpoena.

Diane: The district attorney is trying to imply guilt by inundating this jury with images of my client firing a gun. He's insulting their intelligence and wasting this court's time. We have all seen the so-called evidence. Can we please move on?

Ric: What the jury saw, Ms. Miller, was a terrifying blur -- things were happening so fast that there wasn't time to react. The reason for showing the tape in slow-motion was to see how Mr. Morgan reacted, and that is with the precision of a cold-blooded killer.

Diane: Objection. Your Honor, my client was obviously acting in self-defense, and the district attorney is well aware that no charges have been brought to indicate otherwise. As I have pointed out to this court, my client was in police custody, handcuffed and shackled at the time that this attempt was made on his life.

Ric: The tape speaks to the ability of the defendant to carry out the crime that he is on trial for, Your Honor.

Judge: I'll allow it.

[Gunfire]

[Gunfire]

Ric: That's the last image Lorenzo Alcazar can remember -- Jason Morgan firing a gun.

Diane: Objection!

Judge: Sustained. Strike that from the record. Mr. Lansing, you know better than to address the jury.

Ric: Your Honor, the state calls to the stand Mrs. Elizabeth Spencer.

Logan: I ain't the one working you here.

Lulu: Right -- Coop is.

Logan: Why do you think he keeps feeding you all that garbage about how dangerous I am?

Lulu: Maybe because Coop's a decent guy who doesn't want to see me get hurt.

Logan: Are you really that blind? All right, Coop likes you, okay? He saw us getting close and he didn't like it, so he tried to scare you off. Why do you think he keeps telling you about this supposed -- horrible thing I did over in Iraq?

Lulu: Well, judging how you just attacked Coop, I would say it was more than something you "supposedly did."

Logan: You know what? I was not going to stand there and let the guy trash me. You're the one good thing that I've got --

Lulu: Oh, God, save the act. I don't believe a word you say.

Logan: Because of Coop? Lulu, the guy just wants you all to himself.

Lulu: Oh, great -- let's settle this once and for all. Logan thinks that you have a thing for me -- is that true?

Coop: I'm with Maxie.

Lulu: I told you.

Logan: Okay, do you honestly expect him to admit his feelings for you when his girlfriend's standing right behind him, hmm?

Coop: We need to talk -- alone.

Judge: I think we've all seen enough for one day. Court resumes at 10:00 tomorrow. The jury is dismissed until then.

Bailiff: All rise. Court is now adjourned.

Mayor Floyd: So far, so good.

Ric: Trust me; it only gets better from here.

Mayor Floyd: You were right about the ambush tape -- after the jurors saw it, they were looking at Morgan like he belongs in a cage.

Ric: He does.

Mayor Floyd: Well, don't get overconfident. And you might want to rethink calling Lucky Spencer’s wife as a witness. She used to be your wife, too, didn't she?

Ric: You know she was.

Mayor Floyd: Then why muddy the waters by risking a conflict-of-interest allegation?

Ric: Elizabeth is going to give me what I need to convict Jason.

Diane: Do you have to be so good at your job? Ric did a lot of damage with that footage. He wanted to paint you as a cold-blooded killer, and your actions on that tape just proved his point.

Jason: What was I supposed to do, let them kill me?

Diane: No, of course not, Jason. Look, I can argue that you were acting in self-defense till I am blue in the face, but it is not going to erase what that jury just saw. And they saw you -- not scared. They saw you calm and focused and lethal. And it just validates the D.A.'s allegation that you are a professional killer.

[Diane sighs]

Jason: What are my chances?

Diane: Yeah, well, considering the evidence that Lansing has in reserve, I'd say we need all the help we can get.

Carly: It's in here somewhere.

Officer: Hmm. Ma'am, you can't be in the witness room without a subpoena. Until you find it, you're going to have to wait in the hall.

Second officer: Court's been adjourned for the day. The witnesses can go home.

Kate: Oh, it's about time.

Officer: All of you need to report back first thing in the morning. Bring your subpoena, or you won't be allowed in.

Carly: Not a problem.

Kate: If you say so.

Carly: Just a peek. Let me in for five minutes. How'd it go?

Diane: Ahem. Ric Lansing had a strong case before this trial even started. The footage that he just played of Jason shooting those three men who ambushed him outside the PCPD just improved it.

Carly: So it's bad?

Diane: To be honest with you, as an attorney, I cannot imagine being in a worse position. And I just tried to tell Jason that, and he showed very little reaction.

Carly: Jason needs me.

Diane: I'm sorry, Carly, but that's impossible.

Carly: You --

Diane: The judge has closed the trial to the public.

Carly: Can you call me as a witness? That's the only way to get me in that courtroom.

Officer: You're free to go, ma'am. Court's adjourned until tomorrow.

Elizabeth: I know. I just needed some time alone, it helps me think.

Spinelli: Ah --

Lucky: The desk sergeant said you wanted to speak to a detective?

Spinelli: Yes. Um, I have information on the murder of Lorenzo Alcazar.

Lucky: Okay, let's hear it.

Spinelli: Stone Cold didn't do it.

Lucky: Can you back that up?

Spinelli: Well, as a former employee, I can attest that evil al is a -- a denizen of darkness with legions of evildoers who would've been happy to pull the trigger.

Lucky: Okay, can you provide Jason with an alibi during the time of the murder?

Spinelli: Well, I -- I wasn't with Stone Cold at that exact moment, but that doesn't mean --

Lucky: Unless you can provide Jason with an alibi during the time of the murder, there's nothing else you can do.

Spinelli: Look, Stone Cold doesn't deserve to be locked up for life.

Lucky: Jason has got the best lawyer money can buy.

Spinelli: Yeah, and -- and few that he can trust to stand up for him in court. I mean, even fair Samantha turned her back on him. The Jackal will not rest until Stone Cold has secured his freedom.

Lucky: Do you want to help Jason?

Spinelli: More than anything.

Lucky: Yeah? Then let his lawyer do their job and stay out of it. You can't even be involved in this.

Spinelli: What is wrong with you? Why won't you help the guy that gave you your son?

Coop: What is wrong with you, saying all that stuff about me and Lulu, while Maxie's standing right there?

Logan: I'm just returning the favor, pal. You want me to lay off, stop trying to scare Lulu away from me.

Coop: I told you to leave Lulu alone.

Logan: Who the hell are you to tell me to do anything?

Coop: Somebody who doesn't want to see Lulu get hurt.

Logan: Hey, I would never hurt her.

Coop: Yeah, that's what you say now, and then something happens and you lose it. All right, I know what you're capable of, Logan. I saw you in Iraq.

Logan: Listen to me, okay? That has nothing to do with this.

Coop: Sure it does, if only because you're still mad at yourself. All right, don't take it out on Lulu Spencer.

Logan: I would never do anything to that girl. I care a lot about her. She's one of the first people I found that I can actually be myself around.

Coop: If you really cared about her, you'd tell her what happened over there. Let her decide if she still wants to be with you.

Jerry: Well, well, well. I wasn't expecting to see you in Port Charles.

Man: This meeting isn't about what you expect. It's about what I need you to deliver.

Diane: Carly, I'm sorry, but there is no way I am going to call you as a witness.

Carly: You have got to counteract Sam's testimony. I know Jason better than anyone. I should be on that stand telling the jury what kind of person he is.

Diane: Look, I appreciate you wanting to help a friend, but your testimony could do much more harm than good.

Carly: We go beyond friends, okay? I don't know how to explain it to you, but I'm connected to Jason in ways I've never been to anyone else. That's how I know right now he needs me.

Diane: Jason is handling this remarkably well. He's not angry, he's not frustrated. On the contrary, he seems to --

Carly: He's shutting down inside, okay? He's trying to make himself feel dead inside so he can deal with being locked up. Don't tell me that you are buying into Ric's crap that he's feeding the jury? Jason feels things deeper than anyone I know, okay? He's just not showing it, and right now he's feeling alone. He needs someone who loves him and believes in him. I'm asking you to let it be me.

Lucky: I will always be grateful to Jason that he brought Jake back home.

Spinelli: No offense, dude, but you have a seriously messed-up way of showing it. I mean, the guy saved your son, okay, and -- and your thanks is to haul him away in handcuffs?

Lucky: Okay, I arrested Jason because it was my duty.

Spinelli: The D.A. of darkness has an agenda, okay? With Stone Cold out of the way, Mr. Corinthos, Sir is that much more vulnerable.

Lucky: Okay, the bottom line is that Jason broke the law. There's nothing you or I can do about it.

Spinelli: I worked for evil Al, and then he tried to kill me -- the dude is seriously lethal. I hated him, I "hated" him, and you didn't investigate me -- nor the other legions of evildoers that would want to kill him, as well -- like covert-ops type people that can order his termination from the luxury of their yacht.

Lucky: Okay, if the jury finds Jason guilty, you can't do anything to change it!

Spinelli: Ah. Stone Cold? I, the Jackal, am here to testify on your behalf.

Lucky: I'm going to let you try to explain to him why that's a bad idea.

[Door closes]

Spinelli: Look, dude, I -- I know this is hard for you, okay?

Jason: I -- I've been in lockup before.

Spinelli: No, no, no, no. I'm talking about fair Elizabeth’s spouse. I mean, the dude is walking around oblivious to the fact that he's been entrusted with your most precious progeny. You know, perhaps Lucky would be more keen to secure your freedom if he -- if he knew the truth.

Lulu: Elizabeth? What are you doing here?

Elizabeth: I'm just trying to figure some things out.

Lulu: How's that going for you?

Elizabeth: I'm still working on it. What are you doing here in the courthouse?

Lulu: Um, I was looking for Lucky -- I -- I need a favor.

Elizabeth: Oh. Well, is there something I can do for you?

Lulu: Huh -- not unless you can pull someone's military record?

Elizabeth: Is this about that Logan guy?

Lulu: How do you know about Logan?

Elizabeth: Nikolas came to the hospital. He had mentioned that Logan wasn't the type of guy you should be seeing.

Lulu: Okay, I'm not seeing Logan. We had one date -- technically, half a date -- and that's probably all that we're ever going to have. So Nikolas can just relax and mind his own business.

Elizabeth: Well, he's always going to worry about you, Lulu.

Lulu: Well, it's not just Nikolas. One of Logan's old army buddies came up to me and warned me about him, saying there was a lot I didn't know about him.

Elizabeth: Hmm. Well, I'm sure Lucky will be more than willing to help you. He probably could use a distraction right now. He's so uptight. I mean, with the whole Jake’s kidnapping, and then Jason's trial -- it's really hard not to think about it, much less objectively. After everything that Jason has done for us, I don't know how I'm going to get up on that stand and testify against him.

Lulu: It's probably not going to be as bad as you think. I mean, I wouldn't worry about it. Nothing's going to come out in court.

Elizabeth: What do you mean?

Ric: Lucky, hey, just the man I wanted to see.

Lucky: Why is that?

Ric: Well, I want to talk to you about Elizabeth’s testimony. Believe me; if I didn't think I needed it to secure a conviction, I would've never had her subpoenaed.

Lucky: I don't see why putting Elizabeth on the stand is going to help you win your case.

Ric: Well, I would think that you, of all people, would understand what I'm up against here. Jason has subverted the law for years, and I want to change all of that.

Lucky: Yeah, I just don't want it to come at Elizabeth’s expense.

Ric: I'm not going to put Elizabeth up on that stand and grill her. But the fact remains she is the last person that we know of to have seen Jason before Lorenzo Alcazar was murdered.

Lucky: For five minutes when he stopped by her room at the hospital.

Ric: At which time he received a phone call -- presumably from Sonny -- ordering the hit on Alcazar. Look, I need to question Elizabeth in order to establish a chain of events for the jury. All she has to do is get up on the stand and tell the truth. Believe me; it'll be over before Elizabeth knows it.

Lulu: Ric wants the jury to think that Jason's some kind of cold, heartless monster, right? But the minute that you get on that stand, you're going to blow that image apart. Think about it -- how many times has Jason saved your life, not to mention Jake’s? Three? More? He's not going to give you the chance to make Jason look like some kind of hero in front of the jury, so, you know, if anything, he'll probably have you up there long enough to answer one, maybe two questions.

Elizabeth: Yeah. Yeah, Ric -- he did say that my testimony was going to be used mainly to establish that Jason was in my hospital room when he got the phone call, so maybe you're right. And Ric knows how I feel about Jason, so why -- why keep me on the stand any longer than he has to? I'm just going to get up there, confirm that Jason got the phone call, and -- yeah, it'll all be over.

Spinelli: I -- I know you gave up baby Jake Martin in respect to fair Elizabeth’s wishes, but don't -- don't you think it would be better for everyone if the truth came out now rather than later?

Jason: The longer this trial goes on, the more I know I can never -- I can never claim Jake.

Spinelli: Why does the Jackal get the feeling you're giving up?

Jason: Things didn't go really well today.

Spinelli: That's why you're determined on keeping the secret, right? You think you're going to be convicted, and you don't want baby Jake to know that his father's incarcerated.

Jason: I don't want Jake to hear his father described the way I was in the courtroom today, or grow up feeling ashamed or afraid of me.

Spinelli: Oh -- baby Jake would be proud to have you as a father. And, yes, some of your -- some of the aspects of your chosen career path are a bit dangerous, but, I mean, you would never do anything to put the small Stone Cold one --

Jason: I don't want my son to get caught in the crossfire the next time somebody decides to try and take me out, okay?

Marty: Oh, good. Look, we've got a problem. The charity guild just called to verify the --

Carly: Who's that guy?

Marty: The man with Mr. Jacks' brother?

Carly: Is he a guest here in the hotel?

Marty: Not that I'm aware of. Why?

Carly: Has he been talking to him long?

Marty: Just a couple of minutes, if you want me to call security ---

Carly: Where's my husband?

Carly: Tell me where I can find Jax. I need to know that my husband is all right.

Jerry: I can assure you that things will be handled in exactly the same way that we discussed. If you'll excuse us --

Carly: Do you know who I am? I'm Carly Corinthos -- does that name ring a bell? Because if anything happens to Jax, you're going to pay. Do you understand -- you are going to pay.

Jerry: Yes, yes, yes, that's right, darling. Why don't come with me here? Yes. Do you know what? It would be a shame if Jax came back from his little trip to find that his blushing bride was prematurely "dead."

Carly: I'm not afraid of that man.

Jerry: A bit of advice -- know who you're dealing with before you start making threats.

Carly: Well, how am I supposed to do that, because you won't tell me anything, and you will not bring my husband home!

Jerry: And you running your mouth won't bring him back any sooner, nor will it make you safe. I mean, I'm amazed that you have managed to live so long -- you're nuts!

Carly: Who is that man?

Jerry: No one you need to know about. Understood? Good.

Irina: Sorry to keep you waiting. I had to go on deck to discuss a change of course with the captain -- it's imperative for us to stay on the move. I wouldn't want anyone to interfere with our operations or my plans for you.

Jax: So how do you know my brother?

Irina: There was a time when -- Jerry and I were as close as two people can be. I've heard a lot about you, Jax. Needless to say, I was thrilled to discover that Jerry arranged for you to show up in this part of the world.

Jax: So Jerry doesn't know that I'm here?

Irina: You thought he might somehow be involved in all this? That speaks volumes about your relationship.

Jax: Look, whatever you've got planned for me, I can double your profits -- as soon as you let me go

Irina: As I said, I'm not interested in money.

Jax: Everybody's interested in money.

Irina: Not only money, then.

Irina: You know, you're far better looking than your brother, and you have more stamina than I would ever imagine. But then again, so did Jerry. I wonder -- are you better in bed than your brother was?

Jax: Well, that's something only you can judge.

[Phone rings]

Jerry: Yes? What happened? God! Agh! Find him! No matter what you do, make sure my brother is alive and safe, you idiot! Idiot!

Spinelli: Yeah, you -- you want the innocent one to be safe, of -- of course. But, you know, what if there's a way that you could be a part of your son's life and not put him in peril?

Jason: There's not.

Spinelli: Okay, remaining a trusted family friend, right? I mean, you could -- you could be there to -- to witness your progeny's milestones, and I'm sure that the Blond One would happily assist you. I mean, she is baby Jake’s aunt and also privy to the truth --

Jason: No, I want you to leave Lulu out of this, Spinelli.

Spinelli: No, I think she would want you to participate, to be there to support Jake’s choices -- good and bad -- and also, you know, impart pearls of Stone Cold wisdom along -- along the way. Come on, isn't it better to have some part in your son's life rather than none at all?

Jason: You –

Officer: Time's up. The D.A. needs to speak with the prisoner.

Ric: If you'll excuse us, Mr. Spinelli, Mr. Morgan and I have some business to discuss.

Spinelli: You know, you will be consumed by darkness in the end. I mean, you are already an orc and soon-to-be gollum -- or much worse.

Ric: Get out of here.

Ric: Today was just a little taste of what I got in store for you. You cooperate, or tomorrow when Elizabeth gets on that stand to testify, she's going to have to admit some rather unhappy truths.

Jerry: What did I tell you? I told you to keep an eye on my brother. I told you to follow Jax and make sure he was safe. Was that so hard to do? Now you tell me that you've lost him, and this is the first time I hear about I if I do not find my brother very soon, you will wish that you had never been born. Do I make myself clear, you imbecile?

[Pounding on door]

Jerry: Yes!

[Pounding]

Jerry: What?

Carly: This is my hotel. My hotel, which means I get to know who's doing business here. What happened?

Jerry: What do you think happened -- the lamp broke.

Carly: I can see the lamp broke. What's going on here? Is this about Jax?

Jerry: No, actually, it's about your precious little Jason.

Carly: Did you find a way to help him?

Jerry: That's what you wanted, isn't it -- the price of your friendship? I mean, it would be a lot easier if you didn't have these angry outbursts and ill-timed interruptions such as now.

Carly: I want you to help Jason, but I need to know if Jax is okay.

Jerry: He's fine. There is nothing to worry about my brother. I promise.

Irina: If you're half as good as your brother is in bed, this could turn out to be an enjoyable afternoon.

Jax: Well, unfortunately, we'll never know.

Irina: Why is that?

Jax: Because I'm a happily married man who doesn't cheat on his wife.

Irina: It's only cheating if you get caught.

Jax: Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass.

Irina: How can such a decent, loyal man like you be related to such an uncaring bastard like Jerry?

Jax: I take it things didn't end too well between you and my brother, huh?

Irina: You might say that.

Jax: And that's why I'm here, isn't it, because you're still holding a grudge?

Irina: Very perceptive.

Irina: I'm going to enjoy having you here -- at least until your brother arrives. Then we'll have to get down to business.

Jax: Yeah. And what is that, exactly?

Irina: I'm going to kill you while Jerry watches.

Maxie: Coop -- please wait, I need to talk to you.

Coop: What?

Maxie: I'm sorry about how I flipped out in your room before. Lulu just drives me crazy sometimes -- okay, all the time -- and when I saw her with you, I just lost it. Look, I don't know what it is about Lulu that sucks guys in, but I don't want that to happen with you. Just promise me you're not going to fall for Lulu.

Coop: Don't you have any faith in me at all? I am with you because I care about you, Maxie. Now, if that changed for any reason, I would tell you.

Maxie: I know -- I know that -- at least, I thought I did.

Coop: Well, you trust me or you don’t.

Maxie: Of course I trust you. It's just sometimes I don't trust myself.

Spinelli: Oh -- oh, Blond One --

Lulu: Whoa.

Spinelli: Um, okay, so Stone Cold and, um --

Lulu: Okay -- whoa, whoa, slow down, breathe. What -- what's wrong?

Spinelli: Um -- I -- okay, I -- I went to the station to testify on Stone Cold's behalf, and I overheard the D.A. of darkness making threats against the mother of the innocent one.

Lulu: What kind of threats?

Spinelli: Well, that if Stone Cold doesn't cooperate, Ric will barbecue fair Elizabeth on the witness stand. And -- and the Jackal's a-feared that if -- she may crack under the pressure and reveal the truth about Jake’s paternity.

Lulu: Okay, okay, okay --

Logan: Lulu, I need to speak with you for a second.

Spinelli: Dude, this is not a good time --

Logan: Shut up, "dude." Seriously, I came here to talk to Lulu.

Lulu: Spinelli and I are in the middle of something, I really can't deal with you right now.

Logan: Listen -- listen, the dork is going to have to wait, this is very important.

Lulu: What part of "get lost" don't you understand?

[Lulu sighs]

Spinelli: Okay, um, Stone Cold -- Stone Cold gave up baby Jake for his safety. If -- if the truth comes out --

Lulu: I know, this is a disaster -- Lucky can't find out in the middle of the courtroom that Jason is Jake’s real father.

Lucky: Elizabeth, are you all right?

Elizabeth: Oh, yeah. Yeah, I'm just sitting here thinking.

Lucky: About what?

[Elizabeth sighs]

Elizabeth: About my testimony.

Lucky: I -- I ran into Ric earlier.

Elizabeth: Well, did he tell you why he's calling me as a witness when I don't know a thing about Alcazar's murder?

Lucky: He said that if you testify that Jason got a call right before Alcazar got killed, that he will try to convince the jury that it was most likely Sonny who ordered the hit.

Elizabeth: I don't know who was on the phone. Jason picked up, he hung up, told me had to go, that was it. That's all I know.

Lucky: Okay, then you tell him that, then you get out of it. Jason's fate is in the jury's hands, not yours.

Ric: This is a one-time deal. If you plead out to second-degree murder, you can end this right now. You'll serve 20 years without parole, but you will save Elizabeth the pain of having to testify against you. So I guess you got to ask yourself a question. What's more important to you -- your freedom, or Elizabeth’s peace of mind? Now, you think about that, Jason. Because if I get Elizabeth up on that stand, I am going to ask her about the nature of her relationship with you. And since she's already been sworn in under oath, she's going to have to admit that the two of you were lovers, and while I'm there, I might as well go all the way and ask if little Jacob Martin -- interesting choice in initials, by the way. I will have to ask Elizabeth under oath if little Jacob Martin Spencer is really your son.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Jax: You're going to kill me?

Irina: But not until your brother arrives.

Jerry: I'm glad you showed up, because I need your assistance.

Kate: I didn't realize you had been called to testify.

Sam: I am going to wreck Elizabeth’s life.

Bailiff: Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth
