Singer: Just so hard to cry at night expensive, too before they take me away and leave me wondering baby, it's just you and me we got a thing they can't shake maybe it's a little hard

Jax: Courtney, wait!

Courtney: Jax, just leave me alone!

Jax: Not until you tell me the truth. Did you kill A.J.?

A.J.: Well, I -- I hope you like it here, Michael. I just want us to be happy, that's all.

Michael: I'm not staying.

Sonny: Look, if this is about the Sandoval shooting --

Ric: No, it's about Kristina.

Sonny: What happened?

Ric: No, Kristina's fine. But Alexis is seriously considering trying for sole custody.

Sonny: Doesn't surprise me.

Ric: If she tries to pursue it, Sonny, there's a very good chance of her winning.

Sonny: Are you trying to scare me or help me, Ric?

Ric: Both. Stay away from Kristina until Alexis can calm down, or you risk losing your daughter for good.

Alexis: Is that the completed petition for sole custody?

Dara: Everything that we discussed is in there.

Alexis: How do you assess my chances?

Dara: I think they're good.

Alexis: Good. So you're going to subpoena the police records and ask for a psychiatric evaluation, and they can ask one of me. I don't care, I'll do it.

Dara: Mm-hmm.

Alexis: You have to make this count, Dara. You do.

Alexis: Do you think it's possible that the visitation can be halted until after a custody hearing?

Dara: Yes. We need to prove cause.

Alexis: My daughter was kidnapped from his house. His son was murdered and we're not sure why, and the hit-and-run that he could be affiliated with and everything else. Should I go on?

Dara: I know, Alexis, but we have to be smart about this. Now, I've gone over the transcripts of the last hearing, and I doubt that Sonny has changed his position. I mean, he's not going to give up his daughter without a fight.

Alexis: Sonny doesn't do anything without a fight. You and I both know that Kristina's life is at risk.

Dara: I know, but, Alexis, you made that claim the first time. You have to be careful that you don't appear unreasonable.

Alexis: I know. I know, you know that we have to deal within the law. You have to find some way to make it matter. You have to make that judge understand how scared I am for my daughter and how scared I have a right to be. You have to make it matter.

Dara: Okay. I will put your request in motion right away.

Alexis: Thank you.

Dara: Now, I do need the signatures on the petition for sole custody.

Alexis: Signatures?

Dara: Kristina lives with you and Ric. It will strengthen the petition if you both sign.

Ric: I'm trying to avoid another court battle over Kristina.

Sonny: It's not going to happen.

Ric: I wouldn't be too sure about that.

Sonny: Alexis already went to court trying to, you know, get full custody. She didn't win then; she's not going to win now.

Ric: Sonny, the situation has changed. You know, nine members of the Sandoval crime family, your biggest enemies, were recently gunned down. An innocent bystander was also shot and remains in a coma. The police have named you as their primary suspect.

Sonny: They blame me for everything, Ric.

Ric: Sonny, you and I both know that you are responsible for those murders. It's only a matter of time before you are caught.

Sonny: Do you have any idea how many times I've heard that threat?

Ric: Do you know that Jason was brought into the police station by Reese today? If she puts together a case against him, it will implicate you.

Sonny: Jason will walk, and maybe you should, too.

Ric: I'm trying to help you here! But make no mistake, if push comes to shove, I'm going to have to side with Alexis. Now, I happen to believe that Kristina needs you in her life. I'd like to reach a compromise.

Sonny: So, I back off from seeing my daughter?

Ric: At least as long as -- as it takes for Alexis to calm down.

Sonny: Which could be never.

Ric: She is afraid, Sonny. She's scared. Can you blame her?

Sonny: Okay, Ric, I believe you're trying to make the peace, and for that I thank you. But after losing Michael, I've realized spending time with my children is precious. I cannot compromise with the children I have left.

A.J.: I know what it's like to live in a new place. It feels strange and you think you'll never get used to it. But you know what? I think you're going to like it here, a lot.

Michael: What's so great about it?

A.J.: Uh -- 54-inch TV. Hmm? We have a boat docked out at the harbor. We can take it out in the morning when the water's like glass.

Michael: My dad had a boat. He let me drive it anytime I want.

A.J.: Well, you can drive this one, too. And when you get older, you can take it out by yourself.

Michael: I don't want to be by myself. I want to be with my family.

A.J.: Ahem. Sit down. I didn't want to tell you this, Michael. But the pilot of our plane talked to Sonny, and Sonny said he didn't want you to come home.

Michael: I heard.

A.J.: You -- oh, Michael. I'm sorry, I had no idea you heard the pilot telling me that Sonny didn't want you to come home. You know, people aren't always what you want them to be.

Michael: The pilot got it wrong. Or maybe my dad just doesn't understand what's happening.

A.J.: Well, I know this is very difficult for you to accept. I mean, Sonny treats you like a son for years, and then he gives you the boot as soon as Morgan is born, his real son?

Michael: I am his real son. My dad told me that.

A.J.: Yeah, I know. Sonny said a lot of things. He didn't mean them.

Michael: I want to call him. I'm not believing any of this until I hear it from him.

Singer: Leave me wondering baby, it's just you and me

Sam: It stopped raining.

Singer: Got a thing they can't shake maybe it's a little hard

Sam: Jason. Come on. Why? It's ruined. I worked --

Jason: Are you sure you're okay?

Sam: Yeah, I'm okay, but, come on. Look at this. I worked really hard on this.

Jason: That's not good. So you're telling me you actually cooked all this stuff?

Sam: No, no, I didn't. I actually called the restaurant and told the chef exactly how you like your pasta.

Jason: I appreciate what you've done for me. I mean, how often do we get to be kissing in the rain?

Sam: Yeah, that -- that part was amazing. But, you know, I wanted this evening to be perfect, and I wanted it to be kind of magical, just you and me --

Singer: Baby it's just you and me we got a thing they can't shake

Sam: Okay.

Singer: And maybe it's a little hard

Sam: I am all for spontaneous.

Singer: Sometimes to take but I'll tell you something it's a life worth living just so you know I wouldn't give it up, no

Courtney: How can you claim to love me and then accuse me of murder?

Jax: You lied to me about your trip to see A.J., you lied to me about Rachel! I have to assume that you're hiding something terrible. Now tell me what it is so we can get through this together.

Courtney: Look, Jax, I want to be honest with you. I swear to God, I do. I can't, though. It's too much.

Jax: Hey, listen -- listen to me, listen to me. Whatever it is, whatever you have done, I swear to God I will stand by you. Okay? But I have to know the truth. Now, either you trust me or you don't.

Courtney: Okay. I'll tell you everything.

Alexis: I know that Ric is as concerned about Kristina's safety as I am, and I really believe that he will sign the petition for sole custody.

Dara: Good.

Ric: Doesn't matter what I believe or don't believe, Dara. Sonny will never give up his daughter.

Sonny: Uh, this is important.

Sam: I'll go dry off, okay?

Sonny: What happened at the police station?

Jason: Reese brought me in for a lineup. She had a witness -- Maria Sanchez, Diego’s mother.

Sonny: Ah.

Jason: Works at Metro Court, saw me at the restaurant talking to the shooters after the hit.

Sonny: She didn't I.D. you?

Jason: Alcazar stopped her. You know, he gave me his word that he would keep her quiet. If not --

Sonny: No, of course he did. I mean, you know, Maria is the mother of his son. He's going to do everything he can to keep her safe.

Jason: Reese isn't going to let this go, is she?

Sonny: Reese is becoming a problem.

Reese: What's up?

Mac: Sonny had most of the Sandoval family gunned down in cold blood.

Reese: Mm-hmm.

Mac: Jason Morgan was there. This should've been our chance to put him away.

Reese: Well, it's not over yet, Mac.

Mac: Yeah, well, the longer it takes, the harder it's going to get. We missed our chance with Maria Sanchez. I don't know where our next lead is coming from.

Reese: Have you thought about tapping her phone?

Mac: The judge wouldn't approve the order based on the evidence we've got.

Reese: Right.

Mac: That means it's up to you.

Reese: Me?

Mac: You're already closer to Sonny than any cop has ever been. You're our best shot at nailing him, Reese.

A.J.: You know what, I think it's a good idea that you talk to Sonny. I mean, I want you to prepare yourself. It probably won't hurt as bad if you know what's coming.

Michael: My dad loves me.

A.J.: Yeah, I know that's what he said. And I'm sure he meant it at the time, but -- Michael, Sonny and your mom have the family they want. Morgan is what matters. You're just a complication, and in Sonny's line of work, complications can be very distracting.

Michael: I still want to call him.

A.J.: Okay, fine, if that's what you want.

A.J.: You -- you know what? You know what? I'm thinking maybe I should talk to him first, hmm? I'll bet I could tell him what you're going through. I could try to reason with him about you coming home. Okay? I'm just -- I'm just trying to protect you.

Michael: Will you call him right now?

A.J.: Michael, we've been stranded on a deserted island. How about a shower and some food? You know what? You haven't even seen your room yet. It's cool. We've got some books and a computer and video games.

Michael: You promise to call him right after?

A.J.: Yes, I promise. I just want you to be happy.

Courtney: I thought it would be so simple. You know, I'd go down to the Bahamas, I'd get A.J. to sign the legitimate divorce papers, and it would be over. But from the minute I got there, nothing went right.

Jax: Yeah, you told me. He suggested that you get back together.

Courtney: Yeah, and when I refused, he said that he wanted me to pay him off. He wanted half the foundation's endowment. We argued, he grabbed me. I decked him and I left the room, but he was alive, Jax. All of that was true.

Jax: Then you went straight to the airport?

Courtney: When I got on the connecting flight to Miami, I started venting to the woman sitting next to me.

Jax: Rachel.

Courtney: I had a glass of champagne to calm down. I don't know, maybe I had a few. I'm not making excuses, but I was emotional. You know, and she asked me what was wrong, and I told her everything that had happened with A.J. I got so upset that I said that I wished he were dead, but I didn't mean it. Jax, I was just blowing off steam.

Jax: Are you sure you had never met Rachel before?

Courtney: A few days after A.J. turned up dead, Rachel showed up at my door. She said that she had killed A.J. just like I wanted. Look, I would've gone to the cops, Jax. I would've, but she said she had my fingerprints transferred to the murder weapon.

Jax: So, what does she want from you?

Courtney: Steven Webber dead.

Jax: She wants you to murder Steven Webber?

Courtney: She said I'd be returning the favor.

Jax: Oh.

Courtney: So I had to stall her. I had to, until I could figure out a way to get out of this.

Jax: Well, what about now? Does she still want Steven dead?

Courtney: She claims she had a change of heart.

Jax: Oh.

Courtney: But Rachel says that she will turn me in for A.J.'s murder if I tell anyone what she's done. Jax, she's got me trapped. She just -- I mean, I was sitting by her bed in the hospital and I was thinking how much easier it would be if she just died. But it wouldn't even make a difference because she said that the murder weapon with my fingerprints on it would go straight to the police. God, Jax. Jax, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, I should've told you all of this from the beginning.

Jax: Well, that's a given. The question is, why didn't you?

Courtney: Jax, come on. I wanted to tell you the truth so many times, but I -- I couldn't take the risk.

Jax: Because -- because you're still not sure about me, are you?

Courtney: Jax, no --

Jax: I mean, no. I mean, seriously, I can't think of anything else. You'll sleep with me. You'll even marry me. But when you're in trouble, you still want to handle it on your own?

Courtney: That is not true, Jax!

Jax: Then why didn't --

Courtney: I trust you more than anyone I have ever met.

Jax: Then why didn't you confide in me?

Courtney: Because Rachel threatened to hurt you or worse if I told anyone what was happening.

Jax: I mean, I would've gone along with it if I had to, and maybe we would've even come up with a way to make Rachel incriminate herself.

Courtney: I couldn't take the chance, Jax. She'd already poisoned you. That's how you ended up in the hospital.

Alan: So. To what do I owe this unexpected invitation?

Emily: I know you're the hit-and-run driver that put Alexis in the hospital.

Alan: I had been drinking more than I should and I had to get home. I'd already lost my license once because of the drugs. And then I smashed into Ric and Alexis' car and I panicked. I could just see my career going down in flames, so I -- I got out of there as fast as I could.

Emily: You didn't wait to see if anyone was hurt?

Alan: No. I got to tell you that I was -- I was totally consumed by that. And then when I found out that it was Ric and Alexis, I wanted to confess, but Tracy talked me out of it.

Emily: Dad, when have you ever let Tracy control your life?

Alan: She told me that Alexis had not been hurt, no harm had been done --

Emily: But --

Alan: And that if I would've come forward, it would've just made things worse.

Emily: So you let Dillon push the car over the cliff instead?

Alan: Well, that was Tracy’s idea, as well.

Emily: Dad, you could've stopped it. Now Dillon’s an accessory after the fact.

Alan: I know. I feel terrible about that, but it's happened, it's over.

Emily: Dad, you can take responsibility for your actions. Whatever the consequences, at least you'll know you did the right thing.

Alan: I can't even begin to tell you how much you remind me of your grandmother right now.

Alexis: I said some terrible things to you in anger. And I accused you of not caring about Kristina, and I know that you do, I know that you love her.

Ric: Like she was my own daughter.

Alexis: I need you to help me protect her. This is a petition for sole custody. In light of our marriage and our ongoing cohabitation, I need you to sign it.

Ric: I can’t.

Mac: You were with Sonny almost day and night since his children were kidnapped. You put yourself on the line to find them. I mean, you shared his agony when he realized Michael wasn't coming home. An experience like that brings people together, Reese. You can use that connection to bring Sonny down.

Reese: Sonny never forgot I was a federal agent.

Mac: Or, knowing him, that you're a beautiful woman.

Reese: Meaning what?

Mac: Sonny is more vulnerable than I've ever seen him. I think he can be distracted into making a mistake.

Reese: You know, I should be insulted by that, Mac. But I happen to agree with you.

Sonny: Reese did her best to find my kids. We spent a lot of time together. I mean, I guess she saw how much I care for my children, okay, but then something changed. Reese started thinking she can save me, rehabilitate me, and then when we made a move against the Sandovals, she took it personally. So, you know, that makes her dangerous.

Reese: My heart broke for Sonny because he lost his boy. He seemed so shattered, I just wanted to comfort him. At the same time that Sonny was grieving for Michael, he was planning to attack his enemies. I offered him a way out. He refused to take it.

Sonny: Reese thinks I played her for a fool. Now she's going to try to bust me more than ever.

Jason: Whatever her problem is, she needs to be handled, soon.

Reese: I'll take care of Sonny.

Sonny: I'll take care of Reese.

Courtney: Rachel told me it was only a small dose, Jax, but she wanted to show me how easy it would be for her to kill you if I turned her into the police.

Jax: Oh, come on, she -- she was bluffing.

Courtney: Jax, I couldn't take that chance! The woman killed A.J.! Why wouldn't she think she could get away with killing you, too? Oh, Jax, the thought of losing you was terrifying, okay, so, yeah, I went back to what I know. I tried to handle it myself, but not because I don't trust you. Because I love you too much to take chances with your life.

Jax: Well, I -- I understand your need to want to take care of the people that you love. It's -- it's not as though I don't have my own rescue complex. So I sympathize with the need to want to fix things on your own.

Courtney: Oh, thank you for understanding.

Jax: Yeah, well, there's a lesson to be learned here for both of us. When you're trusting someone -- that's the right person -- can make you stronger, and that's what we are. We're stronger together. Okay? Yeah.

Alexis: You know that her life is at stake, Ric, you know that. And you claim to care about here, and you need to demonstrate that.

Ric: No, don't -- don't do that to me, Alexis. Don't do that to us. You've taken this issue to court before, and since that time, Sonny has abided by the custody agreement. You, on the other hand, have been testing it.

Alexis: I have grounds here.

Ric: You have been violating it outright.

Alexis: First of all, I have no idea what you're talking about. Second of all, there have been substantial circumstances here --

Ric: I know the law, Alexis, but we also know Sonny, and you know if you push him he is going to push that much harder.

Alexis: And that's why we shouldn't react? That's why we should allow him to do whatever he wants at all the children's expense, because we're afraid of inciting him?

Ric: Oh, what --

Alexis: I have documented proof that Kristina's life is at stake.

Ric: Are you referring to Faith Rosco? She threatened all of us. Don't think for one second he's not going to bring that up in court.

Alexis: Why are you arguing in his favor?

Ric: I am trying to keep all of this under control.

Alexis: It's a little late for that. Do you see what is happening -- children kidnapped, children murdered, hit-and-run, bodies on the floor in this restaurant?

Ric: We don't know that the hit-and-run had anything to do with the mob whatsoever.

Alan: I'm sorry to interrupt. I need to speak to you both about the hit-and-run accident you were in. I was the one who ran into you.

Sam: Hey. I called the Golden Dragon, and dinner is on its way.

Jason: You need help with that?

Sam: No -- got it. I got it.

Jason: Got it.

Sam: Sonny didn't stay long.

Jason: Yeah, he's -- ah, he's just worried because Reese brought me in for a lineup.

Sam: Why didn't you tell me you were brought in for a lineup?

Jason: Sam, the witness didn't I.D. me. I was out in 20 minutes. But Sonny thinks that -- I don't know, that Reese could be a problem.

Sam: Well, I think he's right.

Jason: Well, if they don't have evidence that puts me and Sonny at the Sandoval shootings, then there's not a whole lot she can do.

Sam: No, no, I don't think this has anything to do with the Sandoval shootings, Jason. You know, Reese clearly let herself care about Sonny and it didn't turn out the way she wanted. And I think maybe she's disappointed. Maybe she feels a little bit betrayed even. And she's probably going to be the one to pay him back by being the one who actually busts him.

Reese: I know why you asked me here.

Sonny: Yeah? Why?

Reese: Because you want me to stop harassing poor, innocent Jason. Well, I'm not going to because -- oh. What's this?

Sonny: Well, you know, I haven't been very nice to you lately, and I thought I'd just make it up to you. And I would've done it in the kitchen, you know, set it all up, but the table's so big in there and then this is just a lot more intimate, you know.

Reese: You expect me to have dinner with you?

Sonny: Well, you've been working so hard to, you know, bust me that I thought that you could use a good meal.

Reese: Forget it, Sonny. No, you can't charm me into abandoning this case.

Sonny: Well, then you have no reason to turn me down, right? Salad's in the kitchen. I hope that you like Caesar?

Reese: No. No, thank you.

Sonny: Are you afraid to be alone with me?

Reese: I am just trying to spare you a lot of wasted effort, because, you know, there's nothing that you can do or say that's going to stop me from coming after you and Jason.

Sonny: Prove it. Stay.

Jax: I want you to be honest. How did you feel before you told me what was happening between you and Rachel?

Courtney: Scared, alone, miserable.

Jax: And now?

Courtney: I feel free, safe, relieved.

Jax: Kind of goes without saying, doesn't it?

Courtney: Jax, I know -- I know I handled this badly. But that doesn't mean that I don't love you. I hope you realize that.

Jax: I do. And I hope that you can forgive me for thinking the worst.

Courtney: Mm-hmm. I'd forgive you for anything except walking out on me.

Jax: Well, that's never going to happen. Because I have come to the conclusion that I can't live without you.

Courtney: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I feel the same way, too. You and I are forever, Jax. Nothing is ever going to change that. Okay?

[Sam laughs]

Sam: Well, if you think of it this way --

Jason: Yeah?

Sam: If my romantic plans keep falling apart, you'll get to try everything on the Golden Dragon menu.

Jason: Hmm. I'm actually getting used to this food.

Sam: You are? Good.

Jason: What is it?

Sam: Try it.

Jason: What is it?

Sam: Just try it. Hmm?

[Sam laughs]

Jason: It's just kind of -- I don't know.

Sam: Well, I tried to cook for you and, what, I nearly burned the place down? Then I try and plan a romantic dinner on the rooftop with the stars and we get soaked. I don't know what it is, but everything -- absolutely everything I try and do turns out to be a disaster, but that's okay, though.

Jason: Tonight -- tonight was not -- was not a disaster.

Sam: Oh, you are very polite -- occasionally.

Jason: I mean it. It was nice just, you know, being up there with you, looking at your face.

Sam: My -- what, the resemblance of a drowned rat must've been amazing, huh?

Jason: No, you looked -- you looked beautiful.

Sam: You mean that? I mean, of -- of course you mean that, because you'd never say things that you don't mean. And you certainly never pay compliments, which is why –

Alan: I had been drinking. I came around a curve, lost control of the car, and I smashed into you.

Alexis: You didn't see us inside the car?

Alan: I didn't see anything till it was too late.

Alexis: Alan, you didn't check to see if the people were okay?

Alan: I panicked. I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. I can't tell you how sorry I am.

Ric: Alexis is going through a high-risk pregnancy, Doctor. She almost lost her child, and you're going to tell me that all could've happened because you were driving drunk?

Alan: My behavior was appalling.

Alexis: Alan, that's putting it mildly.

Alan: I'm going to go to the police and tell them. I only hope that someday I'll be able to make it up to you somehow.

Emily: How'd they take it?

Alan: Not very well, but that's understandable. I'm glad I did it.

Emily: So am I.

Alan: You know, when mother died, I thought that the last vestige of morality in the Quartermaine family was dead, as well. But as long as you're around to kick our butts once in a while, we're going to be fine.

Emily: Dad, you lost a son, you lost a grandson. And, yeah, you made a mistake, but you're still a great man. I'm always going to believe that.

Alan: You made me take a good, long, hard look at myself. No excuses, I had to deal with the truth. I'm not sure I could've done that without you. I know I couldn't have done it without you. It's one thing to lie to the world. But if you lie to yourself, there's no turning back.

Ric: Well, at least we know now that Sonny was not responsible for the hit-and-run. It's at least one point that weakens your case against sole custody, and if I were your lawyer, I would advise to back off.

Alexis: Ric, the hit-and-run was the least of my arguments. There are many more significant things to prove that he is unfit.

Reese: Mmm. I'm sorry to burst your stereotype here, Sonny, but I'm not one of these women who gets all goofy on a glass of wine.

Sonny: Wine enhances a meal.

Reese: A little coaching from your personal chef?

Sonny: That would be me.

Reese: I don't believe it.

Sonny: Shallots, garlic, parsley, white wine, you know, sautéed in there with a little butter and just a pinch of lemon. Cook it down before you put the chicken in, you know, and don't put the capers in too early because they tend to get soggy.

Reese: Wow. Most men would just throw a slab of meat on the grill and cook it till it begs for mercy.

Sonny: Yeah? Sorry to burst your stereotype.

Reese: Where'd you learn to cook?

Sonny: Brooklyn. Italian neighborhood. Everybody was a great cook. You just kind of pick it up, and it's just what you do.

Reese: Italian is my favorite food.

Sonny: Yeah. You ever had forghetti?

Reese: I never heard of it.

Sonny: Oh, it's a delicacy. I remember in my old neighborhood a bunch of kids got together. We helped Carmine Cerullo put in a new roof on his house, and his wife, Mrs. Cerullo, she made a huge pot of forghetti, right? So you can kind of smell it, you know --

Reese: Yeah.

Sonny: So we knew what was coming, right? So we started hitting those nails -- pop-pop-pop-pop-pop -- real fast, right? So, you know, we probably put the roof up in about two hours.

Reese: No way.

Sonny: Yeah, yeah. We run downstairs, right, and we get -- you know, it's all there. We get this plate and we start loading up with forghetti. And I had this old friend -- his name was Mark, right? -- And he's always a little slower, so he gets there and it's too late. He sees the empty pot and he starts to cry.

Reese: And Mark was how old?

[Sonny laughs]

Sonny: He was about 18, 20.

[Reese laughs]

Reese: You're kidding.

Sonny: So then his mother says, you know, now we all have to share, right, because, you know, like a bunch of 5-year-olds.

Reese: Right. This is a nice surprise, Sonny.

Sonny: What, the food?

Reese: That, too.

A.J.: Yes. This is A.J. Quartermaine. Put me through to Sonny Corinthos.

Courtney: Jax --

Jax: I know.

Courtney: What?

Jax: To figure out what to do about Rachel.

Courtney: If she dies of her injuries, the murder weapon she used to kill A.J. -- which conveniently has my fingerprints all over it -- will go straight to the police.

Jax: We'll have to act before that happens -- go to the police ourselves.

Courtney: No.

Ric: What is it, Alexis, hmm? Is a life with two kids and a man who cares about you, who loves you -- is it just not exciting enough for you?

Alexis: I have absolutely no idea what you mean by that.

Ric: Kristina is home safe and sound. The child that you are carrying is healthy. I am committed to our marriage. But instead of enjoying all of that, you want to start another fight with Sonny.

Alexis: How can you claim to love me the way that you do and be so incapable of understanding me?

Ric: I do love you, and I am trying to understand you here. But the thing that I don't understand is, why are you going after him in the very same way as you did before, using the very same techniques, all of which have failed?

Alexis: I am so sorry that this is uncomfortable for you. But I am never going to stop trying to keep my daughter safe.

Ric: Even if it means risking the child that you're carrying?

Alexis: That's not what I'm doing.

Ric: That's exactly what you are doing, Alexis. From the very beginning, that is what you've been doing. You've been told to avoid stress; you have been doing exactly the opposite. It's just not rational. I don't understand you anymore.

Alexis: I thought that I could depend on you.

Ric: You can, more than you know, but I am not going to follow you over a cliff. And if you try to take Kristina away from Sonny, that is going to blow up in your face.

Alexis: I disagree.

Ric: Alexis, you go after Sonny, he's going to come at you with everything that he has. He could get sole custody. Have you thought about that? He almost did the last time. He came very, very close. He's the one who backed off and he offered to compromise. He's the one who offered the compromise here, Alexis. You going to come back at him a few months later? He just -- his own son just died, and you're going to turn around, you're going to throw his gratitude --

Alexis: Murdered.

Ric: Up in his face?

Alexis: Murdered.

Ric: You are going to -- you're going to throw his gratitude up in his face. You're going to say that he's a threat to Kristina. You're going to try and take her away. Do you realize how you're going to look? You're not going to look ungrateful, Alexis. You are going to look paranoid at best, you're going to look vindictive at worst, and I guarantee you that the custody judge is going to find -- he's going to look at it the very same way. And what happens then? Huh? You could lose Kristina. You could jeopardize the child that you're carrying. And you could ultimately destroy our marriage. Now, you tell me. Are you willing to risk all of that just to go another round with Sonny?

A.J.: Sonny, we have to talk about Michael.

Sonny's voice: You know I don't want to hear about this.

A.J.: It's not fair. You made Michael think he was like a son to you.

Sonny's voice: I thought this was settled.

A.J.: It's not. Look, I think you should talk to Michael yourself.

Sonny's voice: You deal with it.

A.J.: Don't you think he deserves a decent goodbye?

Sonny's voice: I don't owe him anything.

Michael: Dad, it's me! I want to come home!

Reese: Hearing you talk about your childhood makes me see you in a whole new way.

Sonny: Don't ask me to fix your roof because I'm a little out of practice, all right? So we finished here? You entirely satisfied?

Reese: You're working me, Sonny, aren't you? Charming me with stories about your boyhood in Brooklyn and the food and wine and a hint of seduction, all in the hopes that I'm going to abandon the case?

Sonny: What about you pretending to see the real me, you know? Right? You're waiting for me to tell you something so that way you can use it to arrest me.

Reese: I was hungry, Sonny. Your invitation to dinner was hard to give up.

Sonny: Well, you know, it was just a gesture of friendship. I mean, I'm sorry that you couldn't accept it.

Reese: Oh, you are good.

Sonny: Yeah. And you -- you're beautiful.

Reese: Don’t.

Sonny: What? I mean, you're the most dangerous woman in the world to me. You said to my face that you're going to take me down.

Reese: That's right.

Sonny: Right, and, you know, I mean, I could never resist a challenge.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Courtney: Jax, Rachel set it up so there's no way out.

Jax: There's always a way out.

Stan: I was able to trace the money trail back to where it started.

Jason: And?

Stan: I don't think it's what you want to hear.

A.J.: I know you heard that, Sonny. Here. He'll talk to you.

Michael: Dad?
