Courtney: Yes. And it scares me to death.

Jason: Why would that scare you?

Courtney: Because I never thought that I would love anyone after loving you.

Brook Lynn: Maybe it's just not as bad as it looks.

Georgie: Wait, wait. No, no, not yet. Brook and Dillon are watching us outside.

Lucas: Ok?

Georgie: And they look really mad.

Lucas: Do you blame them? Dillon's already mad at both of us.

Georgie: Yeah, yeah, but this could work to my advantage.

Lucas: I know what you're thinking, and it's a bad idea.

Georgie: If you were to kiss me right now?

Lucas: No way.

Patricia: Is he having a problem?

Emily: Yeah, it's -- it's complicated. Nikolas comes from a very wealthy family --

Patricia: Mm-hmm.

Emily: And he recently suffered a head injury that affected his memory. His grandmother is using the accident as an excuse to have him committed so she can take control of his estate.

Patricia: Well, I'd be happy to evaluate him.

Emily: Thank you. Once I prove Nikolas is ok, this is all going to be over.

Helena: That's my grandson. Take him.

Nikolas: I'm not crazy.

Orderly: Hold him down!

Nikolas: Hey -- oh! Ah! I don't care what she's paying you! You can't do -- ah -- this.

Jason: I know. It doesn't.

Courtney: Yeah, there's like this deep feeling just gnawing at your heart. And sometimes I bury it, but it always comes back.

Jason: You're beautiful. And you have a good heart and I just knew when we broke up that somebody else was going to see it and want to be with you.

Courtney: But do I really want to be with them?

Jason: It makes sense that you'd move on. But I don't have to like it.

Courtney: That's how I feel about you and Sam.

Mike: Hey, Sam. How you feeling?

Sam: The baby's doing really, really good.

Mike: Good.

Sam: I would like you to meet my brother, Danny.

Mike: Well, pleased to meet you, Danny. I'm Mike Corbin.

Danny: Hi. Is your toaster broken?

Mike: Yes, it is.

Danny: Can I see it?

Mike: Sure.

Sam: You think you can fix it?

Danny: The coil's shorting out. I could fix this easy.

Mike: Well, you'd be doing me a big favor.

Sam: Yeah, well, I got to tell you he is excellent with anything mechanical, electronical. Motorcycles -- out of this world.

Danny: Do you have a needle nose pliers?

Mike: Yes, in the kitchen, blue drawer on the right.

Danny: I'll be right back.

Sam: Ok. Thanks a lot, Mike.

Mike: Yeah. You -- you really fooled everyone, didn't you?

Lucas: Thanks, but I'm going to skip the relationship drama today.

Georgie: Oh, no -- no, no, no, no, no, wait. I can tell you're into Brooke -- I see the way you look at her.

Lucas: It doesn't matter. She's totally bent over the way I was messing with you and Dillon.

Georgie: Which is why you should kiss me and make her jealous, and then Dillon will be so mad, he'll come in here and break us apart.

Lucas: He'll start a fight.

Georgie: No, he won't! He'll be jealous and it'll prove he cares and then I can convince him to start over.

Lucas: Is this really what you want?

Georgie: Yes! I really want to be with Dillon, more than anything.

Brook Lynn: Maybe -- maybe they're just talking, all right? Really, really close.

Dillon: You're delusional, all right? Do you have any idea how much denial you're in? We both know exactly what's going on in there.

Felicia: I don't think Lila was dishonest with anyone.

Ned: You know, I have to say I’m a little jealous because I know I’ll never have the chance to know her the way you did.

Felicia: Well, in all my talks with her, she loved her family the most.

Ned: Wait. Go ahead, take that. I'll wait.

Felicia: I'm going to set this down.

Ned: Yeah, set that down.

Lois: I cannot believe you're working Felicia like that.

Ned: Grandmother definitely chose Felicia to judge this contest -- I’m sure of it.

Lois: Fine, well, back off before she realizes that you have an ulterior motive and she disqualifies you.

Ned: Lois, not necessarily.

Lois: Will you trust me for once? This is a very bad idea.

Felicia: What's a bad idea?

Alan: You forged the letters that eliminated us. That's fraud.

Tracy: I did not, and the two of you are just bitter because you were deemed unworthy.

Monica: Hmm.

Edward: Heather found a box of your mother's stationery in the back of your car.

Tracy: Because she planted it there! She is an opportunistic gold digger!

Edward: I don't like you talking about her that way. She's a valued friend also.

Tracy: Who's trying to cheat on your behalf!

Edward: Oh, for --

Tracy: We have absolutely no reason to believe that the two of you were eliminated unfairly.

Monica: We have absolutely no idea who the judge is, so how do we know what's right and what's wrong?

Alan: And the truth is none of us are capable of living up to mother's standards.

Monica: Come to think of it, Lila probably planned it this way so we'd all be eliminated fair and square.

Edward: You know something? Maybe she wanted the money to go to charity.

Tracy: Over my dead body.

Mary: He isn't here.

Emily: What?

Mary: Two men came and dragged him away.

Emily: I knew you were planning something.

Mary: No, it wasn't me.

Emily: You led Helena right to Nikolas.

Mary: She wanted me to help her, but I didn’t.

Emily: You lying snake!

Helena: You will stay here as long as it takes me to get you well.

Nikolas: I'm not crazy and you know it! Just -- you can't --

Helena: Make yourself comfortable. This is your new home.

Nikolas: You can take the house, you can take the money, take it all! I just want my freedom! Get off of me!

Helena: This is not about money. It's about you, Connor.

Courtney: But you're still living with her.

Jason: She has nowhere else to go, you know, nobody to help with Sonny's baby.

Courtney: So, you want to help? You want to make it ok for Sam’s little girl?

Jason: Somebody has to, you know?

Courtney: Yeah. I guess that's why I’m jealous. You and I could have had a baby and -- and she would have given us some common ground; someone we would have loved so much that we wouldn't have cared about our differences.

Jason: You know we can't change what happened.

Courtney: And I can't stop wishing we had another chance.

Mike: Mm-hmm.

Sam: So, yes, I have made a lot of mistakes. I am just glad they're behind me.

Mike: Well, I'm just glad that we're finally getting to see the real you instead of that tough girl that you pretended to be.

Sam: Oh, well, trust me -- I am pretty tough still.

Mike: Yeah, well, you've had to be. But maybe now you can let down your guard a little?

Sam: Well, yeah, I mean, I want to. I mean, just so I could be a better mother to your granddaughter at least.

Mike: Hmm. I am so looking forward to spoiling her rotten.

Georgie: Yeah --

Lucas: Oh.

Georgie: It was great. They -- they should be coming in here any second.

Lucas: I don't hear anything.

Georgie: Maybe they're so mad, they're frozen?

Lucas: Um --

Georgie: Wait, wait! They're gone.

Lucas: Not exactly the reaction you were hoping for?

Lois: Ned and I were just talking shop about the Grrrl Power competition.

Felicia: Georgie's very excited about the chance to compete on TV.

Lois: Yeah, well, Ned thinks I should yank the girls out of the contest. He thinks it's too commercial for Brook Lynn, that we should focus on her solo career and allow her to develop her own style.

Ned: Mm-hmm, and I'm entitled to my opinion.

Lois: True. You are very smart about some things and just as dense about others. It's very nice to see you, Felicia. And thank you for taking such good care of my girl.

Felicia: Sure.

Ned: Hey, have a seat.

Felicia: You butting heads again?

Ned: Ah. You know what it's like to work closely with an ex.

Felicia: Well, we have to do what we have to do for our kids. Nothing matters more than family.

Ned: Mm-hmm, even when they drive you crazy. For instance -- my grandmother made an unusual provision in her will.

Felicia: Provision?

Ned: The family member who for 30 days shows only virtue and not vice will inherit her personal fortune.

Felicia: Sounds creative.

Ned: And anyone who acts in a way that my grandmother would find unbecoming gets a letter eliminating them from the competition as an heir.

Felicia: Why are you telling me this?

Ned: Well, I suspect that one of my family members is trying to rig the outcome, and I want to hire you to help me find out who it is.

Felicia: I don't think I'll have time to take that case.

Ned: Oh. Not even for my grandmother? I mean, I don't really care about the inheritance. I just really want to honor Lila’s final wishes. I mean, the money should go to whoever's most deserving.

Felicia: I agree.

Emily: You set this all up.

Mary: No.

Emily: You tell me where Helena took him, Mary.

Mary: I don't know.

Emily: Did Helena promise to make Nikolas fall in love with you in return for your help, Mary?

Mary: It doesn't matter what she promised. I swear I didn't tell her anything.

Emily: Helena is cruel, Mary. She uses people. Nikolas is her grandson and she is trying to have him committed so she can steal his money!

Mary: God, I’m worried about him.

Emily: Well, then, tell me where he is!

Mary: I don't know.

Emily: All right, fine. I'm going to find out on my own.

Nikolas: My name is Nikolas Cassadine, and you know it!

Helena: Not yet, but it will be.

Nikolas: You're insane.

Helena: Oh, this is the chance I have prayed for, to wipe the slate clean, to rebuild you in your father's image, and when I'm done, Nikolas will be reborn as the glorious Cassadine prince.

Nikolas: You're psychotic. I'm going to kill you! I --

Helena: Oh, that's enough!

[Nikolas gags]

Helena: Oh, look at you. Just look at you -- so strong on the outside, but you've never lived up to your potential. Now, your father was powerful and determined and magnificent, and you disgraced him. You've disgraced your family. You turned your back on us to devote yourself to that useless Emily Quartermaine.

Nikolas: Emily probably saved my life --

Helena: No. I intend to mold you into the man that you were born to be.

Nikolas: I will never give in to you! I'm going to -- oh!

Helena: No more! No more!

Nikolas: Oh!

Helena: That's it! Stop it! Oh. I can be very resourceful, so resourceful. You know, the traits are there in your bloodline, in your genes, but first we must empty the vessel, break you down to nothing.

Nikolas: Oh -- oh.

Helena: Not until I say so.

Ned: Oh, well, you know what? I think I may actually have a teenage emergency. Will you excuse me?

Felicia: Of course.

Ned: Thank you.

Brook Lynn: I was going through Felicia’s desk, and I found the stationery.

Ned: This is it. You did great, honey.

Brook Lynn: Are you sure about this?

Lois: Sure, he's sure. Oh, you can't tell your dad anything, even when he's about to get himself disinherited.

Lucky: Hey. I came as soon as I got your message.

Emily: All right, listen, Helena found Nikolas. She had him taken to Shadybrook for evaluation.

Lucky: Ok, then why did you ask me to meet you here?

Emily: Ok, I spoke with a psychiatrist earlier. I explained what Helena was doing and that Nikolas was completely sane, and she agreed to evaluate him, and I want you here when I speak with her. We need to take Dr. Grimes to Shadybrook right away.

Lucky: Ok, ok. All right, let's go.

Emily: All right. Ok. Wait, wait -- that's her now. Hi.

Lucky: What the hell are you doing here?

Emily: Your plan won't work, Helena. Nikolas is perfectly sane, and Dr. Grimes is going to prove it.

Patricia: I'm sorry, Emily, but after speaking with Mrs. Cassadine, I think that Shadybrook may be the best place for her grandson.

Lucky: You can't just allow --

Patricia: Excuse me. I have a patient waiting.

Emily: You paid her off!

Helena: Nikolas has suffered long enough. He's completely unhinged.

Emily: You're the one who's crazy --

Lucky: Ok, just --

Emily: And if you hurt him --

Helena: Oh, I would never hurt my grandson. I am supervising his recovery. He's about to come into his own as the Cassadine prince. The Nikolas you knew is gone forever.

Lucky: Now, listen, this won't help Nikolas, ok?

Emily: Listen, if you hurt him, I’ll get him away from you if it's the last thing I do!

Lucky: Emily -- Emily --

Helena: Nikolas is finally safe from your mediocrity. He's out of your reach. He's mine.

Jax: You know, it's tough being a single mother. I don't know how Alexis does it.

Sam: What, meaning I can't?

Jax: No, I'm not saying that. I'm sure you'll be great. You know, you're very resourceful, and obviously, you want what's best for this baby.

Sam: Hold on, whoa, whoa -- did you just compliment me somewhere in there?

Jax: I guess I did.

Sam: Yeah.

Jax: So it's a girl, huh?

Sam: It is, and -- and we've decided to name her Lila.

Jax: That's nice.

Sam: Thank you.

Jax: I'm sure she'll be as lovely as her namesake.

Sam: Hmm.

Mike: Hey, hey, the toaster is fixed.

Sam: Ah.

Mike: Your brother is a wiz!

Jax: Brother?

Danny: That's me. I'm Sam’s brother.

Jax: Well, hi. I'm -- I’m Jax. It's nice to meet you.

Sam: Danny, Jax and I used to be really good friends.

Danny: You're not anymore?

Sam: I'm beginning to wonder.

Mike: Hey, listen, Danny, why don't you come with me and see if you can do anything with this old junker that I call a car.

Sam: Wow!

Mike: Ok? We'll be right out -- we'll be in the back.

Jax: Nice to meet you.

Sam: Hmm.

Mike: It's right out here.

Sam: Danny is --

Jax: You're full of surprises, aren't you?

Sam: Yeah. He's the main reason I went looking for my mother.

Jax: Your father let her take him when she left?

Sam: Well -- ahem -- I'm not really sure why she wanted him. I mean, she kept him locked up in the basement hidden away like some dirty secret, but, as you can see, he's doing a lot better now and I got him involved with a program for independent living.

Jax: So the whole time you were on the run, you were protecting your brother?

Sam: Well, it's a little bit more complicated than it sounds, but --

Jax: You don't have to explain it to me. It's obvious that you love him.

Sam: Yeah. Helping Danny is the best thing I ever did. Oh.

Jax: You ok?

Jason: I never, never wanted to fight who you are. We were right to let go. I mean, living without you is -- it's hard. You know, but it's better than just holding on to each other, hurting --

Courtney: Jason, I can't do this anymore.

Lois: Your dad is convinced that Felicia is the one deciding who inherits Lila’s money.

Ned: Mm-hmm, and now I have the proof, thanks to my intrepid daughter.

Brook Lynn: So isn't fighting over the inheritance exactly the opposite of what she wanted?

Lois: Hello! My point exactly.

Ned: Honey, Lila was trying to be fair. She didn't want to disinherit anybody. But she also knew that most of the family was undeserving of the money.

Brook Lynn: So this whole inheritance contest is a nice way to cut people out of the will?

Ned: That's the basic idea, yes.

Brook Lynn: Ok, so now that you know that Felicia’s the judge, what are you going to do?

Ned: I'm just going to show her just how virtuous I can be.

Monica: Well, would that really be so bad?

Tracy: You and Alan have already been eliminated, so it doesn't matter to you, but, Daddy, you and I still have a chance!

Alan: You know what, Tracy? None of this makes any sense. Monica and I were eliminated because we formed an alliance, which is exactly what you and father are doing.

Monica: Yeah, so why hasn't the all-knowing judge figured out that you two are in cahoots?

Edward: Possibly because one person cannot monitor the entire family.

Tracy: Unless there's surveillance in the house.

Alan: Well, why don't we take a moment and just have some peace here, maybe even turn on some music.

Monica: Music?

Tracy: Something uplifting.

Edward: Something loud. I'll go to the fireplace. You go there.

[Music plays]

Jax: Well, you didn't give me much choice.

Sam: Oh.

Jax: I thought you were going to have the baby right there at Kelly’s if I didn't take your brother back to the motorcycle shop.

Sam: Yeah, I just didn't want him to worry, that's all.

Jax: But it's ok to scare me half to death, huh? Look, I understand that you want to keep the truth from Danny, but why don't you let me take you to the emergency room?

Sam: I'm fine, I am fine.

Jax: How can you be so sure? This is your first pregnancy.

Sam: Well, listen, for one thing, the pain is gone, and another thing, my doctor told me that I have something called Braxton-Hicks contractions and it's sort of like my muscles are practicing getting ready for labor, and she said not to worry.

Jax: Hmm. You seem really calm about this.

Sam: Well, it's probably the only aspect of this pregnancy I actually feel like I have under control.

Jax: Oh. I don't want to intrude, but --

Sam: Just friends.

Jax: I'm sorry?

Sam: You were just going to ask what's really going on with me and Jason, weren't you?

Jax: Yes, I was.

Sam: Yes, you were -- just friends. I have never had any romantic interest in him, not that he's not attractive and --

Jax: And he is not attracted to you in any way?

Sam: Jax, I happen to be in love with someone else. I'm just telling you that Jason and I are not a couple. He's still in love with Courtney, so if you are in love with her, I think --

Jax: Are you assuming that if Jason wins Courtney back, then -- then she would go?

Sam: Yeah, in a heartbeat.

Jax: Well, that might be true, if he asked her now. Six months from now, I seriously doubt it.

Sam: Oh. Why? Because six months from now, Courtney is going to be in love with you?

Jax: I bring out the best in Courtney. Jason does the opposite. As much as I loathe the man, I'm sure he doesn't enjoy bringing her to tears. So he feels guilty. She overcompensates and whatever love they have left gets buried under remorse and endless misunderstandings.

Sam: Meanwhile, you and Courtney understand each other perfectly.

Jax: Pretty straightforward at this point. I -- I bet her --

Sam: Oh --

Jax: $10 million --

Sam: 10 --

Jax: That I could seduce her in three months.

Sam: Oh, my God. You are so going to lose!

Jax: You're absolutely right.

Sam: How -- yeah.

Jax: But when I do, I'm going to win because Courtney is going to realize that she wants to be with me. And Jason taught her to equate love with misery.

Sam: Look, I brought Danny to Kelly’s to meet Mike, and Jax was there and then I started getting pains and then he insisted on taking --

Jason: Are you still having pains?

Sam: No, no, I'm fine. That's the Braxton-Hicks contractions. The doctor warned me they'd be happening soon.

Jason: You can leave.

Jax: Well, no one could ever accuse you of being inconsistent. Sam.

Sam: Jax.

[Door opens and closes]

Sam: Jason, I didn't want Danny to worry. I'm sorry. I was having pains and --

Jason: You don't have to explain.

Sam: You hate his guts. I would like to explain to you why he was sitting on your couch.

Jason: You needed help, Jax gave it to you -- end of story.

Sam: No, forget it. You are not going to do this.

Jason: Do what?

Sam: Reverting to Jason, the walking, talking block of concrete who doesn't feel, doesn't react, doesn't have an opinion about anything. Why don't you just admit that it drives you crazy to see Jax and Courtney dating?

Jason: Courtney and I are divorced.

Sam: It doesn't mean you don't feel!

Jason: Just leave it alone, Sam!

Sam: Just because you refuse to talk about something doesn't --

Jason: What I feel doesn't matter! If I love Courtney, if I don't love Courtney, how it all could have been different -- it does not matter! I saw her today and I told Courtney that I want her to be happy, but it's not up to me who she's happy with.

Sam: Fine. Forget Courtney. How are you and I going to live together if you keep doing this?

Brook Lynn: Look, if you're asking me out, just forget about it, ok? Don't think I didn't see you just sucking face with Georgie, and just so you know, I don't do leftovers.

Lucas: Couldn't you tell what was happening? Dillon just broke up with Georgie again and she staged the whole thing to make him jealous.

Brook Lynn: Oh, and of course you went along with that, right? Look, tell me -- do you have a mind of your own or does Georgie tell you what to do?

Lucas: She's my cousin, I love her, and she asked for my help. Come on, Brook. You don't really think I have romantic feelings for her --

Brook Lynn: That you're a total loser? Yeah. That's exactly what I think.

Georgie: Hey, Brook, you -- was -- was that about our kiss?

Lucas: I told you it would be a disaster.

Georgie: Brook Lynn’s jealous?

Lucas: No. She thinks I’m a jerk.

Georgie: So go after her.

Lucas: Why bother? Brook and I barely know each other and it's probably going to stay that way. Maybe things will work out different for you and Dillon.

[Alan whistles]

[Music stops]

Tracy: So much for the all-knowing judge.

Ned: You're not doing yourselves any favors by antagonizing the judge.

Monica: Well, I'm glad the camera is gone.

Ned: I think they call that cheating.

Alan: Who cares? If the letters were real, Monica and I have nothing to lose.

Ned: Grandmother was very specific about her instructions.

Edward: I doubt if she intended to have the family under video surveillance.

Tracy: I'm not afraid of any judge. Alan? Would you do the honors?

Felicia: Excuse me. Destroying the camera won't change anything.

Tracy: What are you doing here?

Felicia: There are cameras all over the house and grounds.

Monica: Excuse me. I'm not clear.

Ned: Isn't it obvious?

Felicia: Yes, it's true. Lila chose me to be your judge.

Jason: Yes.

Sam: Yes. Ok. Great. Then we need to communicate.

Jason: We do -- you do most of it.

Sam: About something deeper than if I've taken my vitamins or how late you're going to be working. We need to tell each other how we feel, like if we're sad or upset. We need to help each other through the --

Jason: Look, you just need to take care of yourself, take care of the baby, eat, sleep, and avoid stress.

Sam: Well, it stresses me out to see you so angry you're about to put your fist through a wall.

Jason: Well, I'm not angry.

Sam: You were.

Jason: Well, I got over it all by myself. I don't need to talk about it!

Sam: What is so wrong with wanting to help you? You have seen me through the toughest time in my life. If emotional support were monetary, I would be in debt -- I don't know, let's see -- thousands of dollars? And I'd given you, what, 50 cents?

Jason: Ok. You really want to help? Just stop asking how I feel. You want to talk about something, let's talk about the baby or the weather or nothing.

Sam: Fine, fine. You win -- for today, because the weather's good, the baby's good, and, no, I haven't eaten lunch yet.

Jason: Why didn't you tell me? I would have made you something.

Sam: I will do it. And I want to take off my shoes. I'm going to be barefoot, pregnant, in the kitchen -- exactly the way you like your women.

Jason: On second thought, I'll cook.

Sam: I was -- I was teasing. Come on.

Jason: I -- I know.

Sam: Ok. Well, then, a good way to show that you get a joke is to smile or something, laugh. You know, I'm serious, Jason. Children model their parents' behavior, and suppose she grows up and she doesn't know how to smile. Do you really want to be responsible for a humor-impaired child? No, I don't think so. You need practice -- lots of practice.

Courtney: Hey.

Jax: Hey. I was hoping I’d run into you. Oh. That's some hello.

Courtney: Are you complaining?

Jax: No. No, I'm a little curious. To what do I owe this sudden outpouring of affection?

Courtney: I'm glad you're in my life. You know? I mean, you -- you make me smile.

Jax: Well, you deserve to be happy.

Courtney: I'm starting to realize that, with your help, of course.

Jax: What can I say? It's my pleasure.

Courtney: Jax, I want to spend more and more time with you, starting now.

Jax: That's an invitation?

Courtney: Yes.

Jax: Well, then I accept.

Ned: It makes sense if you think about it.

Monica: She wrote Lila’s memoirs. She'd have insight into her intentions.

Tracy: Which means that you and Alan were properly eliminated. I told you the letters were authentic.

Edward: This true?

Felicia: Lila asked me to visit her a couple of months ago. She insisted on her idea to award the estate to the most virtuous Quartermaine.

Tracy: And you naturally volunteered to judge. Hmm. How much is she paying you -- a million?

Felicia: No. In fact, I tried to talk her out of it.

Monica: Go on.

Felicia: I think it kind of came down to her disappointment with the family's greed and infighting. She felt that the motivation was all about money and she thought this would bring out the best in the family.

Tracy: It hasn’t.

Felicia: Well, this contest isn't over, and I intend to honor Lila’s wishes.

Alan: This gets more and more bizarre by the minute.

Felicia: Yes, and it will. Edward, this is for you.

Edward: Oh. "To the loved ones of Lila Quartermaine."

Tracy: Hmm. Say good night, Daddy.

Edward: Goes to Ned.

Ned: You eliminated me?

Felicia: You asked your daughter to go through my desk. Lila would most definitely not approve.

Dillon: Hey.

Georgie: You seem pretty mad.

Dillon: I am.

Georgie: Look, Dillon, what you saw before -- it wasn't what it seemed like.

Dillon: I'm sorry -- you weren't kissing Lucas for five minutes straight?

Georgie: Yeah, I was, but I was hoping you would -- you'd come in and you'd break us up --

Dillon: You were trying to set me up.

Georgie: You knew?
