Elizabeth: Ric?

Ric: Elizabeth --

Elizabeth: I'm sorry to interrupt. This is my son, Cameron.

Alexis: You named him after his grandfather.

Jax: I knew you'd come to your senses.

Courtney: No, no, no, no. Don't push your luck.

Sister Mary: He's been holding on until you got here. I called for the doctor again, but I think it's too late.

Carly: No, no, no. No, it's not too late. It can't be. Sonny? Hey, Sonny? Come on, you're not leaving me, Sonny. Sonny, you have to hang on. You have to fight. I won't let you go, Sonny. Sonny -- no, Sonny -- Sonny? Sonny, you come back! You come back to me! Sonny? Sonny? Come on. Come on. Come back to me. Sonny, don't let go. Come -- he's coming back. He's coming back.

Sister Mary: His pulse is definitely stronger.

Carly: Where's that doctor?

Sister Mary: I'll go find him.

Carly: Thanks. Sonny? Sonny, what are you thinking, coming all the way down here to get shot? Huh? Don't you get it? If anyone's going to kill you; it's going to be me. That'll never happen. You won't die. Do you hear me? You can’t. All that matters right now is our love. I love you, Sonny. I love you so much, and I don't care what's happened before. I don't care about the damage we have done. I still love you, Sonny Corinthos.

Sister Mary: Has he awakened?

Carly: Not yet. He will. He will.

Sister Mary: Doctor, we're going to get out of your way.

Carly: Don't you let my husband die.

Sister Mary: Mrs. Corinthos, we have to let the doctor work.

Sonny: Carly -- I need you.

Carly: Do you know who did this to my husband?

Jason: I'm just going to wait right here, ok?

Sam: Through the whole surgery?

Jason: Yeah.

Sam: Thank you.

Nurse: Samantha McCall?

Sam: Yeah, that's me.

Nurse: We're ready for you.

Jason: Ok, you're going to be all right, Sam.

Sam: You're going to keep looking for Sonny, right?

Jason: Yes.

Sam: Ok.

Jason: Thanks.

Courtney: That doesn't mean that I want to spend the rest of the night with you.

Jax: Who says anything about spending the night? This has nothing to do spending the night.

Courtney: Would you just go, Jax?

Jax: Whoa, whoa, whoa, that's not what you really want.

Courtney: No. What I really want is a good night's sleep.

Jax: All by yourself, huh, with nobody to --

Courtney: Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Jax: To cuddle you and be around you?

Courtney: Yes.

Jax: Really?

Courtney: Definitely.

Jax: You have no idea how jetlag works, do you?

Courtney: Oh, God -- well, we can't all be world travelers, now, can we?

Jax: Listen, listen, the best cure for jetlag is to fly to Paris.

Courtney: Just go away, please.

Jax: No, no, no, no, I'm serious. I know this beautiful little bistro there, and then the French countryside is absolutely gorgeous this time of year. You'll love it.

Courtney: Could you just -- could you please just go away, Jax? I'm tired.

Jax: Did I say something wrong? It doesn't have -- oh, ok. You want to go to Spain or Monte Carlo. That's fine. We can do that.

Courtney: No, Jax. I want to go to sleep, ok? Have you ever been there? Have you ever even heard of it?

Jax: But where's the fun in that?

Courtney: Oh, God, I never should have made this bet!

Jax: Oh, well, just a second ago you said that you were enjoying yourself. What's up?

Courtney: Yeah, so what? You turned out not to be so shallow and stuck on yourself. I'm also exhausted, so I could have it all wrong.

Jax: That is entirely possible, yes.

Courtney: Look, could you just stop being Mr. Know-it-all Travel Guy right now, because I’m not flying with you anywhere, and I’m not going to sleep with you tonight or any other night, ok?

Jax: Yeah, but you still want to kiss me again, don't you?

Courtney: No. No, I don’t.

Jax: Well, at least you know what you're missing.

Courtney: Mm-hmm. So do you.

Jax: Yeah, that's right. You know, this is completely unnecessary. Let's just enjoy each other's jetlag and fly off, and maybe we can even get a little sleep on the plane on the way over there, wherever we might go.

Courtney: None of that's going to happen.

Jax: Ok, ok. Well, listen, just try not to think about it too much.

Courtney: Oh -- yeah, that won't be a problem.

Jax: Good night, Courtney.

Courtney: What, you think you can just walk away from me?

Jax: Ok, now I'm confused. I thought that's what you wanted me to do. This is -- what?

Courtney: No, no. This is what I want.

Jax: Good night, Courtney.

Courtney: Good night.

Alexis: I can see your baby's a night owl.

Elizabeth: Yeah, he was having a hard time sleeping, so I thought I’d take him for a walk.

Alexis: You know what? You should try a vacuum cleaner. Kristina used to like the sound of the vacuum cleaner.

Ric: You know how to run a vacuum cleaner?

Alexis: I used one once. You should really try it, because there's a real scientific thing behind it. I think it works.

Ric: Yeah. If you ever have the need to dress up like a butler, I think you should call G.H. They could probably give you some pointers on that.

Alexis: I think that you probably would have done the same thing if you wanted to be close your baby, right?

Elizabeth: I kind of walked into the middle of something, didn't I?

Alexis: No, no, no.

Ric: No, no.

Alexis: May I hold him?

Elizabeth: Oh, of course. Of course.

Alexis: Will you hold this?

Ric: Yeah.

Alexis: Thank you.

Elizabeth: Here you go. Say hi to Alexis.

Alexis: Hi, sweet thing.

Elizabeth: You got him?

Alexis: Oh, oh, yes. What a beautiful boy. You want to see your mommy? Aw. His grandpa would be very proud of him. You got him?

Elizabeth: Yeah.

Ric: You know --

Alexis: Ok, set this down.

Ric: Can I hold him?

Alexis: Can you give me a minute? He's sweet.

Ric: You'll have to excuse Alexis. She never learned how to share.

Alexis: All right, here. Ok, baby. There.

Elizabeth: I got him.

Alexis: He's a wonderful, wonderful boy. Congratulations, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Thank you. Thank you. Do you still want to hold him?

Ric: Yeah, very much.

Elizabeth: Here.

Ric: You're going to have --

Elizabeth: Just -- just hold him.

Ric: Hey. Oh, boy. Oh, wow.

Officer: Trying to kill herself, I guess.

Lorenzo: Mary Bishop did not try to kill herself. She has everything to live for.

[Music plays]

Lorenzo: I know this woman. Her husband works for me. She would not attempt suicide.

Doctor: She has no bruises, no trauma. It doesn't look like she fell. She may have walked into that river and got swept away by the current.

Lorenzo: Right. Thanks for your attention. I'll take it from here.

Officer: Who the hell are you anyway?

Lorenzo: You really want to find out?

Mary: Find Connor. Find Connor.

Nikolas: It feels right to be with you, but I'm married to someone else. I mean, how can I have a fight with my wife and end up making love to a woman that I barely know? And why don't I feel terrible right now? I mean, I -- I haven't felt better than I do right now since -- since I can remember.

Emily: So do I.

Nikolas: What just happened goes against everything that I believe. But making love to you doesn't feel wrong to me.

Emily: There's a good reason for that. Here.

[Phone rings]

Nikolas: Hello.

Lorenzo: Your wife was involved in a serious accident. She's at Mercy Hospital.

Elizabeth: Well, you're good with him.

Ric: You knew I would be.

Alexis: I'm going to go and give you some privacy.

Elizabeth: No, you know what? It's ok. I got to get home, and it is late.

Ric: Oh. Ok, sure.

[Cameron laughs]

Elizabeth: Ric, let me have him.

Ric: I'm sorry.

Elizabeth: It's ok.

Ric: Yeah, here you go.

Elizabeth: Come to Mommy.

Ric: All right.

Elizabeth: All right.

Ric: See you, Cameron.

Elizabeth: Good night.

Alexis: Goodbye, Elizabeth. I'm sorry. It's obvious that you're not over Elizabeth yet.

Ric: Well, it just -- it wasn't supposed to be like this.

Alexis: What happened between the two of you?

Ric: Look, you wanted to know why I couldn't let go of my grudge against Sonny. Elizabeth wanted to know the very same thing, and when I explained it, she -- she couldn't accept it, all right? There are things about me that are a little too dark and complicated for her to deal with, and that is her right.

Alexis: Not to belabor the obvious, but you're ruining a potentially wonderful life, nursing a grudge against your brother who couldn't care less about you.

Carly: Really? It's surprising, because we haven't gotten along so well lately.

Sister Mary: He loves you very much.

Doctor: He's asking for Carly.

Carly: Sonny.

Sonny: You found me.

Carly: Didn't you know that I would? Hey, hey.

Sonny: You shouldn't be here.

Emily: What happened to Mary?

Nikolas: I don't know, but she's at Mercy Hospital, where I should be. I never should have left her alone.

Emily: Look, you had a fight. You walked away. Whatever happened, happened.

Nikolas: Yeah, it wouldn't have happened if I would have stayed with her.

Emily: You can't know that.

Nikolas: I'm her husband. It's my job to take care of her.

Emily: You have a right to be happy, and --

Nikolas: What do you mean? You mean to make myself happy? Follow my feelings? Waltz around an empty room with a complete stranger?

Emily: There's a good reason for that.

Nikolas: Look, Emily, I was unfaithful to my wife. I'm not going to try and rationalize my way out of it.

Emily: Ok, but if you can't remember ever being this happy then there must be a reason for it!

Nikolas: That's the point right there. I'm using amnesia as an excuse to get whatever I want.

Emily: Ok, I can explain --

Nikolas: Emily --

Emily: If you'll just give me one second!

Nikolas: Emily -- Emily, please -- please. Please, don't make excuses for what just happened, ok? There's absolutely no good reason for me to have cheated on my wife.

Carly: Yeah, they're probably watching the place, right? Maybe that's why I had to come here through a tunnel, dress up like a nun.

Sonny: You dressed up like a nun?

Carly: Well, I wore some kind of robe. It looked like a nun. It's close enough.

Sonny: I'm trying to picture it.

[Carly chuckles]

Carly: Don't I look ridiculous?

Sonny: I'm glad to see you.

Carly: I'm glad you woke up. So what's the plan?

Sonny: We got to get out of here.

Carly: What's the rush, Sonny? They think you're dead, right? So we can stay until you're ready to travel.

Sonny: We'd be safer in Port Charles, all right?

Carly: No, you need to stay. You need to stay here.

Sonny: We can't.

Carly: Sonny, who do you think did this to you?

Sonny: I don't know, but it doesn't make any sense. I shouldn't have come here in the first place.

Carly: It's ok.

[Sonny groans]

Carly: I'm here, and I'll take care of you.

Sam: Hey. The doctor says the baby's fine. I can carry full term, no problem.

Jason: That's great.

Sam: Did you find Sonny?

Jason: Not yet.

Sam: Is there a problem?

Jason: I'll be right back. What do you got?

Stan: Sonny went to the convent down in Costa Rica, and no one's seen him since. And the Mother Superior says he's gone.

Jason: Well, does she know where?

Stan: No.

Jason: What about Carly?

Stan: She left a couple hours ago like that.

Jason: She went after him. So all we have to do is find Carly and we'll find Sonny.

Nikolas: "Connor"? That's rich.

Mary: That's your name. Connor Bishop.

Nikolas: Emily told me everything.

Mary: And you believe her?

Nikolas: You're damn right I do.

Mary: No, she's lying! You're my husband!

Nikolas: No -- no, I am not, and I never will be your husband!

Mary: Connor, please --

Nikolas: No. My name is Nikolas Cassadine. But see, you've known that for months, haven't you? But you lied to me. You lied to me so you wouldn't have to be alone.

Mary: That's because I love you.

Nikolas: Love -- is that what you call this? You stole my life, Mary! That's not love; that's desperation. But see, you've know that for months already, but you've been lying to me the whole time just so you wouldn't have to be alone!

Mary: Just because I love you.

Nikolas: Love? Is that what you call this? Love? Huh? You stole my life! You made me believe that I was a marine deserter, Mary, just so you wouldn't have to be alone! Now, that's not love! That's desperation! How could you desecrate your own husband's life like that?

Mary: No, Connor would want me to be happy.

Nikolas: Happy? What, by pretending that his life never existed? What'd you do with his things? Hmm? What did you do with all of his pictures, Mary? Did you burn them? Hmm? You probably burned them, didn't you? But see -- because, see, that's the kind of person you are. How could you do this? You erased that man's entire life. You made it as if his life -- everything that he cared about means absolutely nothing! It's like the guy never even existed!

Mary: Well, I -- I panicked! I didn't --

Nikolas: You pa-- and that --

Mary: But it wasn't supposed to happen.

Nikolas: I don't care! Does that make it all right? Does that make it all right? You know what it feels like to grieve for the love of your life, yet you allowed Emily to keep grieving and grieving and grieving, knowing the whole time that I was alive! You befriended her. You shared in her pain. But see, that was a lie, too, wasn't it? You were just -- you just kept gathering information, more and more information to keep her away from me, just so you could have me yourself.

Mary: Please --

Nikolas: Get off me.

Mary: I can make you happy --

Nikolas: You are --

Mary: If you give me a chance!

Nikolas: You are so pathetic. You can't even -- you can't even grasp how much Emily and I love each other. She and I -- see, we have the kind of love -- get off of me! We have the kind of love, Mary, that is bigger and stronger than all your stupid lies. I -- I will never stop loving her no matter how hard you hold on to me.

Mary: Please --

Nikolas: Would you get --

Mary: Please don't do this.

Nikolas: You are more pathetic than I even imagined! I could never love you. Now, get off me.

Mary: Connor.

Mary: I went for a walk after you left. I was upset about our fight. I know I was wrong.

Nikolas: No, no, not at all. It's ok. It's ok.

Mary: I must have got too close to the river, I guess. I should know better with the rain we've had, but I slipped. And I tried to swim, but the current was really strong. And I couldn't find anything to hold on to. And the water was pulling me over and underneath. I -- I took a deep breath, but it was all water. I panicked. Then everything went dark, and I woke up here.

Nikolas: It's ok. Ok. What were you doing so close to the river, anyway, huh? What were you thinking?

Alexis: Why do you think Elizabeth made a point of introducing you to her son?

Ric: Oh, come on, Alexis. We ran into each other in the park. She couldn't very well pretend not to see me.

Alexis: I really hope you have a stance the next time we're in court together.

Ric: You know what? What are you trying to say? That Elizabeth wants me back? Is that it? That I should have escorted her and her baby home?

Alexis: What do you want?

Ric: You know what? I'm not interested in soul-searching with you.

Alexis: Why didn't you go after her?

Ric: Elizabeth and I would be married right now, ok? We'd be settled into our own house, and if the baby had trouble sleeping, I would be walking on the floor with him. I would be the kind of father that I had always wanted, but that's not going to happen now, ok?

Alexis: Do you still feel connected to --

Ric: Are you enjoying this? Look, why wouldn't I feel like this was the baby that we lost? If Elizabeth had carried our child to term, our lives would be different at this point. I wouldn't be standing here going through my entire life with you, ok?

Alexis: So it's Sonny's fault?

Ric: End of discussion.

Alexis: Ok. I'll see you in court.

Ric: Yeah.

Jason: We're getting close.

Sam: He went after me, didn't he? And now he's just found us?

Jason: I think Carly went after him.

Sam: "Think"? You can't find her, either?

Jason: Sam --

Sam: They're both missing, Jason?

Jason: You got to calm down -- for the baby. Just let me take of this.

Sam: That isn't what I do best, Jason.

Carly: If what? Sonny, didn't you know that I would be here?

Sonny: Yeah, and if you got word, yeah. Just like I'd find you.

Carly: And I know you would if I was in trouble.

Sonny: I'd find you. I'd save your life if I had to, if I -- I'd die trying. That's just the way it is.

Carly: So we've got the crisis situation down. Sonny, why are we still lousy on the day-to-day?

[Phone rings]

Carly: Jason.

Jason: Why haven't you been picking up?

Carly: Don't -- don't start right now.

Jason: Where are you?

Carly: I'm with Sonny.

Jason: Where?

Carly: At the convent in Costa Rica. He's been shot.

Jason: Put him on.

Carly: He's -- where are you, Jason?

Jason: Carly, put him on.

Carly: He's going to be ok.

Sonny: Let me talk to Jason.

Carly: Jason, he almost died.

Sonny: Give me the phone. Give me the phone. Jason --

Jason: Sonny, what the hell's going on?

Sonny: Somebody's after me. I think they're pretty good. You need to start asking around.

Jason: I found Sam. She's fine. So is the baby.

Sonny: Where are you now?

Jason: At G.H. There was a problem, but the doctor's fixed it. Sam and the baby are both healthy. What about you?

Sonny: One shooter. He left me for dead. Sister Agnes took care of me.

Jason: You need to get out of there.

Sonny: I know.

Jason: How bad are you hurt?

Sonny: Not as bad as the last 20 times I’ve been shot, but I'll be all right.

Jason: You need help?

Sonny: No, I'll get home -- I'll get out of here. I'm going to get out of here. I'll call you when we're on the plane.

Carly: There's no way that I can let you leave this room.

Sonny: Oh.

Carly: Hey.

Jason: Sonny's at the convent you visited. He was tracking you, and someone shot him. Sister Agnes is taking of him. Carly just got down there.

Sam: Is he all right?

Jason: He's going to be ok.

Ric: You're back.

Elizabeth: Didn't you know I would? You and Alexis seem close. Are you guys --

Ric: Oh, no. No, no, it's just work. What are you doing here, Elizabeth?

Elizabeth: I miss you. I miss the dreams we had; the life we wanted. I never imagined I’d be a single parent living with my grandmother.

Ric: Yeah, well, it doesn't have to be that way.

Elizabeth: You want to try it again?

Ric: Is that what you want?

Elizabeth: We both know better than to go there.

Ric: Look, I'm not asking you to take me back, and I'm not -- I'm not asking to start over. It's -- it's just when I saw you with the baby, it reminded me of everything that we had lost.

Elizabeth: Well, I'm trying to put my life back together. I hope you're doing the same.

Ric: I'm trying.

Nikolas: How did you know Mary was hurt?

Lorenzo: I have strong contacts within the police department. Look, they think that Mary attempted suicide.

Nikolas: What?

Lorenzo: And that was my concern with the hypnosis in the first place.

Nikolas: How did you know about the --

Lorenzo: Mary called me.

Nikolas: Right. Oh, she must have been pretty desperate to have called you.

Lorenzo: Yeah, desperate, but not suicidal. Look, I don't think Mary walked into that river because of something that happened in the past. After the two of you had that fight, where'd you go?

Doctor: Mr. Bishop, your wife is getting worse.

Nikolas: Mary, please, don't give up. Ok? You can’t. Whatever you think is happening -- I'm sorry. I made a terrible mistake. Ok, I was wrong. But if you come back to me, I'll never do anything to hurt you again. I'll give up trying to remember. I'll let my past stay gone. I'll walk away from anything, ok? I'll walk away from -- from anyone. From anyone to be with you.

Courtney: I'll manage.

Jax: Well, perhaps you can't sleep because you were thinking of me.

Courtney: Hey, you're awake, too.

Jax: Why don't we celebrate with a little champagne?

Lois: Are you still using that old line? How some things never change.

Jax: Lois?

Lois: Hey!

Carly: No.

Sonny: We got to get out of here.

Carly: It's too soon, Sonny. You could start bleeding again.

Sonny: I don't have time to argue, Carly.

Carly: How many chances do you think you're going to get? Huh? How many trips to death's door? I really -- I don't understand why you want to put yourself back into the line of fire.

Sonny: Carly, we got to get out of the country before anybody figures out that -- Carly?

Jason: We don't know.

Sam: Who else would follow Sonny all the way to Costa Rica?

Jason: You know, sometimes things like this happen to Sonny. Sometimes they happen to me. You can't let yourself get so upset.

Sam: Ok, Sonny nearly died because of me. I think I'm allowed to be a little bit emotional about this, Jason.

Jason: You're right, but stress is not good for the baby. Ok? Think about staying calm. Try and get some rest.

Sam: Do you get how hard it is for me to be passive about this?

Jason: Yeah, I think I do.

Carly: You're not going anywhere.

Sonny: If we don't get out of here; somebody's going to die.

Jason: Do you know this guy?

Mary: Don't leave me.

Nikolas: Not until the day I die. Tonight was a mistake.

Emily: You may change your mind when you hear what I have to say.
