Luke: Jason, it's not that I don't think she deserves to be dropped on her head. It's just that this is a really bad time for you to do this.

Jason: This doesn't concern you, Luke.

Luke: But it does. I got a business deal going with this woman. If you drop her now, I'm going to lose a lot of revenue that I can't afford to lose. Please. Thank you.

Faith: No --

Luke: Thank you.

Jason: Out of respect to you, I'm going to tell you why Faith needs to die.

Lorenzo: You saying Carly pities me?

Courtney: I don't know, you tell me. After Sonny gave Carly the boys, she realized that there was no place for you in her life. And she told me that she was planning on breaking up with you, but then she found out you were blind, and she didn't go through with it. Sound like pity to you?

Lorenzo: If I believe you, I'd end it with Carly. And that's what you want -- you want Carly free to go back to Sonny.

Sam: Yeah.

Sonny: You were just dreaming.

Sam: I --

Carly: I'm interrupting. I'll -- I should go.

Sonny: No, no, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Here, here. You ok?

Sam: Yeah.

Sonny: You don't have to go.

Emily: Um -- why -- why are we going this way?

Nikolas: You'll see.

Emily: Oh. You're being awfully mysterious.

Nikolas: And you're being too inquisitive and impatient.

Emily: Really?

Nikolas: Yes.

Emily: Oh, ok, let me guess -- you have decided that there is no way that we're going to survive a formal wedding with both of our families, so you have got a minister stashed in those bushes waiting to marry us, huh?

Nikolas: That's a really good idea --

[Emily laughs]

Nikolas: But no. No, no, uh-uh. Come on. We're here. We're here. You remember. You remember the first place we kissed. You ambushed me, you clamped your mouth around mine --

Emily: No, the engagement --

Nikolas: And you stuck your tongue down my throat. Yes, you did.

Emily: The engagement is off, Nikolas Cassadine, unless you swear to forget that that ever happened.

Nikolas: No, not a chance. I have not forgotten how sweet and innocent you were, and I've been waiting to kiss you here again for a long, long time.

Faith: God, I didn't do it. I swear.

Luke: Shut up! I realize she's a lethal lunatic, but she's useful to me.

Jason: She'll cause you a lot of trouble you don't need, Luke.

Luke: I appreciate the warning, but with all due respect, please don't send her windsurfing tonight. Tell Sonny that I'd consider it a personal favor if the broad didn't get dead tonight. Thank you.

Jason: Sonny will want an explanation.

Luke: I understand. I'll give him one.

Faith: You saved my life.

Luke: I got you a stay of execution. Oh, man. Blowing up Sonny's limo and leaving him alive to walk away from it was very foolish. Very, very foolish. So foolish, it could get you dead.

Lorenzo: Did Carly send you here to tell me this?

Courtney: No, no, I am here because I can't stand to watch you manipulate her.

Lorenzo: All right, you're Sonny's sister so obviously you're reluctant to see the fact that Carly has moved on, but she has. What's between us is real.

Courtney: Oh, yeah? So real that you set off a bomb to keep her from going back to Sonny?

Lorenzo: Oh, I'm sure you'd love the poetic justice of me going blind by my own hand.

Courtney: Oh, come on, Alcazar. You would do just about anything to keep Carly tied to you. You want what you want and to hell with anybody else. But you know what? When Sonny gave her back her kids, it opened up her eyes and she saw the difference between the love she has with Sonny and your sick obsession. Carly doesn't love you. She is only staying with you because she feels sorry for you.

Lorenzo: All right, you are lying! Sonny's supposedly selfless acts are too little too late. Carly realizes her future is with me.

Sonny: Why'd you come back?

Carly: It can wait.

Sam: I'll leave -- um -- you two alone.

Sonny: No, no -- hey, hey, hey. You know what? You can't be getting up like that.

Sam: Yeah.

Sonny: You ok?

Sam: Oh, yeah, as long as I don't breathe.

Sonny: Sam saw the man who planted the bomb, and he stabbed her to shut her up. So she -- you know, unless we find that guy, she's still a target.

Carly: Then this is the safest place for her. I'm going to go.

Sonny: You know what? You still haven't told me why you came.

Carly: Well, Michael wanted to know if you would come over for breakfast tomorrow, but I will tell him that it'll have to be another time.

Sonny: No, no, no, no, don't tell him -- tell him I'll be there.

Carly: Well, that'll make him happy. Be careful.

Sonny: Ok.

Sam: Thanks.

Sonny: Can I get you anything else?

Sam: No. Something's changed between you and Carly, hasn't it?

Courtney: Most of the danger and violence, Alcazar, comes directly from you. You wanted Carly, so you just decided to take her, even though it meant ripping her family apart.

Lorenzo: I regret the pain that I caused Carly, but I'm not sorry that she left Sonny. She's better off, and on some level you know that.

Courtney: Yeah, well, maybe I misjudged you. I thought that you would be too proud to be with a woman who thought of you as an obligation. Carly pities you. She thinks that you are weak and that you can't take care of yourself. She doesn't want to be with you. The only reason she's staying with you is because she thinks that you are helpless!

Carly: Ok, Courtney, that is enough.

Sonny: What's your point?

Sam: You didn't seem angry. That's really good. I mean, that's really good for Michael and it's good for Morgan, and -- I don't know, maybe the two of you can reconnect?

Sonny: Carly and I are over, done. We're doing what's right by our kids, but we are both living separate lives.

Sam: Because that's what you want? Or because you don't have a choice?

Jason: How you feeling?

Sam: A lot better, thank you.

Jason: Good. I need to speak to you.

Sonny: All right. Did you find Faith?

Jason: Luke showed up, called in a favor. He wants Faith alive.

Sonny: He's laundering money for her through his casino. Now, maybe he needs the money bad enough, but I don't think he needs it bad enough to put himself in the middle of me and Faith. You know what I mean?

Jason: I told him that you would want an explanation.

Sonny: Well, did Faith say anything --

Jason: No, she said she had nothing to do with the bombing.

[Sonny sighs]

Jason: And for some reason, I actually believe her.

Sonny: Maybe Alcazar acted alone.

Jason: You want me to go see him?

Sonny: Not yet. I'll deal with Luke. I need you to go in there and take care of Sam. Whoever stabbed her in the back is still out there.

Faith: Listen, I'm telling you I did not plant that bomb. I am innocent.

Luke: Innocent? I don't think so.

Faith: Oh, God, listen. I was working with Alcazar, but I was just going to plant some drugs in Sonny's warehouse, and I didn't even get the chance to do that. The shipment was late.

Luke: Well, somehow I don't think that detail is going to do much to pacify Mr. Corinthos.

Faith: You make an excellent point. Maybe now is a very good time for me to take a little vacation.

Luke: If Sonny wants you dead, my darling, there's no safe place.

Faith: Where are you going?

Luke: I'm going to see if I can keep you alive. Be prepared to pay me back.

Nikolas: No. No, no, no. I admired you. I thought it was quite fearless the way you put your feelings out there like that.

Emily: Fearless, huh?

Nikolas: Yeah.

Emily: Why couldn't I do that with Zander? I just -- I should've told him as soon as I knew I loved you.

Nikolas: Yeah, well, you did what you thought was right at the time. You loved Zander too much to hurt him.

Emily: Do you think he was able to understand that before he died?

Nikolas: I -- I don't know, Emily. I mean, I believe there was good in Zander only because you loved him. I saw him stand by your side through the cancer. I know how badly he wanted to save you, but there was another side to Zander. He got hurt, and he thought that entitled him to hurt everybody else. He lost you, and then he set out to punish you and me. It wasn't -- it wasn't all bad, but it certainly wasn't all good, either. And I'm not -- you know, I'm not saying that you shouldn't grieve over him. I'm just -- and we've -- I've told you this -- I don't want you to blame yourself for the choices that he makes.

Emily: I know. It's just -- it's more selfish than that. You know I'm superstitious, and it just almost seems like -- I don't know, like we have more happiness than we deserve. Ok, don't borrow trouble.

Nikolas: Excuse me?

Emily: It's an old saying my grandmother uses. "Don't borrow trouble" means "don't find reasons to worry and be afraid," so I am stopping as of now.

Nikolas: Ok.

[Emily giggles]

Nikolas: Maybe I can help with a little distraction.

Emily: Those kisses are working just fine.

Nikolas: How about a little popcorn to go with? I practically had to drag you away from the cart back there.

Emily: Ok, you're right. I'd love some, with extra butter, please?

Nikolas: Ok.

Emily: Bye.

Nikolas: Bye.

[Noise]

Emily: Zander?

Man: Seriously, I --

[Woman squeals]

Man: Stop playing around!

Emily: Um -- nothing. I -- I got cold. Um -- can we go to Kelly’s?

Nikolas: Uh -- well, I was supposed to meet Lucky here, something about the fire. But I guess I could -- I guess I could call him and tell him to go to Kelly’s.

Emily: No -- no, that -- that's all right. Wait for Lucky here, and I'll -- I'll meet you at Kelly’s later.

Nikolas: Ok. Uh -- I guess I'll walk you to the car.

Emily: All right.

Skye: "Red -- knew you'd be back. Just for the record, is it my magnetic charm or irresistible sex appeal?" Oh, my God. What an egomaniac. Go away.

Faith: This is the wrong night to be giving me orders, princess. I own the place. I'll hide here if I want.

Skye: Well, if you're in trouble, why don't you just slither back under the rock you crawled out from? Nobody wants you here.

Faith: Take your "spoiled little rich girl" act somewhere else. I am not in the mood. I am here to see Luke.

Skye: When are you going to get it through your head that Luke is not your friend, ok? He doesn't give a damn about you. He's only using you for the cash.

Faith: Hmm, Luke and I use each other for all sorts of interesting things.

Skye: What? You slept with Luke? Well, I'm not surprised. Luke's nothing if not self-destructive.

Faith: I'm talking about something much more intimate than sex, honey. Luke protected me tonight. He saved my life.

Luke: Hey, Sonny.

Sonny: What's going on?

Luke: I assume Jason told you I'd be stopping by?

Sonny: Yeah. Um -- Faith Rosco’s a problem for me.

Luke: I know, but she swears she didn't blow up your limo.

Sonny: Well, even if that's true, this has been a long time coming. I cannot tolerate Faith anymore.

Luke: Would you reconsider if I called in a favor?

Sam: Why did I have to come here?

Jason: Sonny has business to discuss.

Sam: Jason, I don't like being kept in the dark, especially if it's about the guy who was trying to kill me.

Jason: Sonny will tell you what you need to know.

Sam: Yeah, that guy really blew it. I was going to leave town, and if he hadn't tracked me down to the Lazarus, I'd be gone by now. I bet you're sorry I'm not.

Jason: Doesn't matter what I think.

Sam: You're supposed to be protecting me.

Jason: Nothing will happen to you.

Sam: Ok, wait a minute. Let me get this straight. You are going to -- you're going to guard me with your life, even though you're counting down the minutes until Sonny dumps me and goes back to Carly?

Jason: Pretty much.

Courtney: Oh, come on, Carly, you don't love him. How many times do we have to go over this? You don't have to stay with him. Alcazar is blind but he is not helpless!

Carly: Ok, are you finished yet?

Courtney: No, I am not! This man kidnapped you! He split up your marriage! He almost cost you your children! If it weren't for him, I would be a mother right now! How can you just ignore all the things that he has done?

Carly: I am not ignoring those things. I know he has done some terrible things, but guess what, Courtney -- so has Sonny, so have I, and it doesn't mean that I can't love. It doesn't mean I can't be better or learn from my own mistakes!

Courtney: Being with Alcazar is a mistake, Carly, and you need to get away from him while you still can.

Carly: Ok, I really don't need you to tell me how to run my life. And I think maybe you should leave before one of us says something that we are going to regret.

Courtney: You know what? You are going to wake up one of these days, and you're going to realize that you lost everything that you love, and it is going to be too late.

Carly: I am really sorry. Courtney had no right to say the things she did.

Lorenzo: Courtney's telling the truth.

Emily: Hey.

Elizabeth: I got here as soon as I could. What's going on?

Emily: I'm so sorry to ask you about this.

Elizabeth: What's happening, Em?

Emily: I need you to tell me everything that happened between you and Zander the night of the fire.

Elizabeth: Oh, you know, I really don't like to think about it --

Emily: Well, listen, I wouldn't ask you about this if it wasn't important.

Elizabeth: What do you want to know?

Emily: Ok, are you positive that Zander was dead when you left him?

Elizabeth: Well, I didn't check his pulse or anything, but he was lying perfectly still, and, Em, they I.D.'d his body.

Emily: Yeah, I know. Yeah, I know. You're right, you're right. I think I'm losing my mind.

Elizabeth: Ok, what are you talking about?

Emily: Ok, tonight at the park, I thought I saw Zander.

Nikolas: She's just now coming forward?

Lucky: My guess is she's running a scam, trying to get some of that money you set up for the fire victims.

Nikolas: What's her name?

Lucky: Enid Reynolds.

Nikolas: I haven't heard from her.

Lucky: Well, if you do, you let me know because I'll bring her in for fraud.

Nikolas: Well, how do you know she's not telling the truth?

Lucky: I don't see how. All the bodies from the fire have been accounted for.

Nikolas: Maybe something else happened to her brother.

Lucky: I think her brother's part of the scam. I went and checked out his apartment -- somebody's been living there. There's just something about this that's not right.

Skye: Well, I wouldn't be getting all warm and fuzzy if I were you. Luke was just protecting his bottom line. He looks at you and all he sees are dollar signs.

Faith: Hmm. Afraid he's getting a little tired of you playing hard to get? I would be. I know when a man's hot for me.

Skye: Well, Luke has all kinds of unsavory hobbies. I really couldn't care less what he does with you.

Faith: Oh, save it, sweet cheeks! Anyone with eyes can see that you got it bad for him. You look at him like you're starving and he's the biggest pork chop you've ever seen.

Skye: You really do give new meaning to the word "vulgar."

Faith: Hmm. Well, vulgar or not, I'm the real deal, honey, and you're nothing to Luke but an amusement. It's really sad, you know? You're so desperate for his affection. All he has to do is pat you on the head, and he's got your undying devotion.

Skye: How could you possibly understand that Luke and I are friends? You've never had a friend in your life.

Faith: You are as brittle as a china doll, and about as passionate as one. Luke needs a woman with heat. That's why you want me gone.

Skye: No. I want you gone because you're a card-carrying nut case, and I have no intention of spending one night in jail because I'm forced to associate with the likes of you.

Faith: If you're scared, you know where the door is.

Skye: Well, you know what? I think I'm going to wait you out. You see, Luke may have saved you tonight, but it's only a matter of time before Alcazar or Sonny or another one of those unsavory types catches up with you. It doesn't take a psychic to see that you're going to die a violent death. And when that happens, no one -- not even Luke -- is going to shed a tear.

Faith: Let's see who sheds a tear at your funeral.

Sonny: Faith is a menace, Luke.

Luke: Yeah, I know. But I'm offering you an opportunity here to turn her into an asset. Leave her alive, man. Let me keep an eye on her. She'll be grateful. She thinks I'm on her side. She'll keep me informed. I'll keep you informed.

Sonny: Why do you care what happens to Faith one way or the other?

Luke: Well, I got this deal going right now where she's laundering a whole lot of money through my casino.

Sonny: Oh, well, I can see why that's attractive to you. But it doesn't do anything to resolve my situation.

Luke: I know, but I can use her, and I can watch your back at the same time. She's useful to both of us. Dead -- she doesn't do anybody any good.

Sonny: I just need to make sure she doesn't come after me or my territory.

Luke: Let me have her, Sonny. She comes after you again, I'll kill her myself.

Sonny: Ok, understand this -- if I find out that Faith is responsible for the car bomb, then no favor will stop me from dealing with her. And if she comes after me again, I'm going to have to wonder why you didn't warn me.

Luke: I understand. You're asking me to guarantee her behavior.

Sonny: You want to take that chance?

Luke: That's why I'm here, pal.

Sonny: Good, because I want that bomber alive. He's got more to answer to than just rigging my car.

Jason: I don't blame you. Sonny and Carly blew up their own lives. If Sonny hadn't turned to you, he would've turned to somebody else.

Sam: What, do you work at being a bastard?

Jason: No, I'm just being honest. You're the one who wants to talk about this. What does it even matter what I think? Sonny asked me to make sure nothing happens to you. I'll do my job.

Sam: Oh, I see. So you've made up your mind that I am not good enough for Sonny. You're sure that he's going to put me back in the gutter where he found me. End of story, right?

Jason: Just take your pill, ok?

Sam: Oh, go to hell, Jason!

Jason: Whoa, hold on --

Sam: Oh --

Carly: Yeah, well, she's wrong.

Lorenzo: I wish I could see your face. I wish I could know for certain that you truly believe that, Carly. I am not a stalker. I am not obsessed. I just saw your marriage to Sonny as an obstacle because I felt that you were trapped, and I wanted you to be free. And then I hoped you would choose me.

Carly: Well, I am here right now, aren't I?

Lorenzo: Yeah, but I want it to be for the right reasons. You've always been truthful with me about your feelings, even when it wasn't what you wanted to say or what I wanted to hear. So, please, don't start lying to me now. Before you knew I was blind, were you going to end it with me?

Elizabeth: Well, did you say something to him?

Emily: No, it was -- it happened so fast. It was dark and foggy and -- and I was so shocked. And then he was gone before I could react, and I --

Elizabeth: Ok, you know what? Sometimes when you're grieving, your mind can play tricks on you. I thought I saw Lucky everywhere after that fire in the motorcycle shop.

Emily: Ok. You -- you think I imagined it?

Elizabeth: I think you saw somebody who resembled Zander, and your brain just made the leap.

Emily: Yeah. You're right, you're right. You must be.

Elizabeth: Zander's dead, Em. His body's lying in the morgue.

Emily: You're right. I'm sorry. Just forget I said anything. Zander's dead and it's my own guilt playing tricks on me.

Faith: No, but I am in control. So start showing me some respect.

Skye: What man's going to want to put up with that, huh? Pretty soon Luke will realize you're not worth the trouble, and he'll do what everyone else in your life has ever done -- head for the nearest exit.

Luke: Good news -- Corinthos has agreed to give you a temporary reprieve.

Faith: You went up against Sonny Corinthos for me? Let's get out of here, and I can show you how much I appreciate you!

Luke: Yeah, ok, ok. There's a lot of things that you can do to thank me.

Skye: You know what? You two deserve each other; you really do. You want her, Luke? Be my guest. Use the bar for all I care. I'm out of here.

Faith: Well, go ahead. Feel free to go after her.

Luke: No, not while we have unfinished business. You know I didn't go to Sonny out of the goodness of my heart or to get you in the sack, so let's talk about what you can do for me.

Jason: Sonny had a meeting and asked if Sam could wait here.

Courtney: What's going on? Does this have to do with the bomb in Sonny's limo? Ok, what's the big secret? Why can't I know what's going on?

Jason: You asked not to be involved.

Courtney: Well, now I'm asking the truth. Sonny would not send Sam over here because he had a meeting with his --

Sonny: Hey, Courtney. You made it clear you don't want to be part of, you know, anything associated with my business. I think it's best if we all stick to that. You shouldn't be here.

Courtney: Well, you can't order me to leave, Sonny. This isn't your house. It's Jason’s.

Jason: It's not a good time.

Courtney: Look, I'm sorry for caring, and I really need to learn how to stop.

[Door slams]

Sonny: Hey.

Sam: Hey.

Sonny: How are you feeling?

Sam: I've been better, but I've also been a lot worse.

Sonny: Well, I came over because I thought it'd be best if we take you back over there, but I think it's actually best if you stayed here.

Sam: No. No, no, no. Sonny, I don't -- I don't want to stay. I would just rather be with you.

Lorenzo: Your pulse is racing. You're lying.

Carly: No. No, I am not. I am angry, because she had no right to say what she said. I am not here out of an obligation. I'm here because I care about you.

Lorenzo: I used to think that I wanted you under any circumstances, but I don't, Carly. I don't want or need your pity. Go find the life you want.

Faith: That's a little steep.

Luke: Also, from now on, I'm going to require double the amount to launder your cash.

Faith: Wait a second --

Luke: And stay away from Sonny. Don't wave red flags in his face. If you see him coming down the street, you cross to the other side. I don't intend to make saving you a full-time job.

Faith: Anything else?

Luke: Yeah. When you find out who set that bomb, you call me first.

Faith: I take it you promised that info to Sonny?

Luke: And if it turns out you tried to smoke him, you're on your own completely. There's one other thing -- the most important thing -- the reason I went to your apartment tonight -- stay away from Skye. If you don't, I'll encourage Sonny to declare open season on Faith Rosco.

Lucky: Thanks.

Nikolas: But now there's something I need to ask you.

Lucky: What is it?

Nikolas: Well, Emily and I -- we haven't set a date yet, but we -- we know we plan to get married this spring. Kind of going for a formal theme, both families in attendance. Well, it's -- I mean, it's possible that we come to our senses and -- and elope, but -- but either way, I really want you to be my best man.

Lucky: Are you kidding? I wouldn't miss it. Congratulations, big brother.

Nikolas: Thanks.

Lucky: You know, I want you to always remember that Emily loved me first.

Nikolas: Hey, as a friend. Watch it.

Lucky: No, it was a crush. I mean, I remember I could tell. Until she laid eyes on you, and then it was all over. But I always knew that you and Em were meant to be together.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Lucky: I'd be honored to stand up for you.

Nikolas: Thank you.

Lucky: I got to go.

Nikolas: Ok.

[Phone rings]

Emily: Hi, you. Are you still at the park?

Nikolas: Yeah, yeah. I just finished up with Lucky.

Emily: Hey, forget about coming to Kelly’s.

Nikolas: Is everything all right?

Emily: Everything's perfect. I just want to see you.

Nikolas: Ok. All right, let's go home. I'll build a fire and we'll just -- we'll curl up together, ok?

Emily: Oh, heaven. Stop talking, start walking. I'll meet you at the launch.

Nikolas: Ok. God help anything that gets in my way. Bye.

Courtney: Hey.

Jason: Uh -- I'm sorry about before. You know, it was business.

Courtney: No, you know what? I'm the one who should apologize. Sonny's right. We're not together anymore. I shouldn't be asking for inside information.

Jason: Well, why'd you need to see me?

Courtney: It was nothing. Carly and I had an argument, and I just wanted to get your opinion.

Jason: Do you want to talk about it now?

Courtney: No, it's probably not a good idea.

Jason: All right. I mean, if you need something, you can always come to me.

Courtney: Why can't love be enough?

Sam: I just -- I don't want another nightmare, that's all.

Sonny: They're just dreams. I'm not going to let anything happen to you, I promise.

Sam: I didn't think we were into promises.

Sonny: This one's allowed.

Sam: I'm not into being taken care of. This isn't so bad.

Lorenzo: I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself.

Carly: I know that. But you have been hurt now, and I'm sure that you are frightened and you just don't want to admit it. You're probably afraid it's going to show some sort of weakness. But it's ok. I mean, if you truly love me, then you need to trust me enough to let me in.

Sonny: I know who you are. I don't care about the past. You're independent. You're a woman who fights like hell.

Sam: Yeah, I always thought so. When that man grabbed me, I have -- I have never felt so helpless. And my life is -- he was going to kill me. Sonny, I was never so scared.

Carly: Needing someone is not the same thing as being helpless.

Lorenzo: The only thing I need from you is your love.

Carly: Well, Lorenzo, love can't happen overnight. You cannot force it. You just have to allow it to evolve -- and care about each other enough to trust one another.

Lorenzo: I'm not making any promises, Carly. There's no way in hell I'm going to let you take care of me if I'm permanently blind.

Carly: Well, you just -- just stop thinking about that right now, ok? You need to get some sleep.

Lorenzo: Yeah.

Sonny: Shh. Sleep.

Sam: You know, there's no place I'd rather be.

Luke: Don't hold back on my account, Jason. She's all yours.

Sonny: You can't stay here by yourself.

Carly: Your daddy's going to be here very soon, too.

Sonny: I can't make it for breakfast.

Michael: Why did you break your promise to me?

Carly: Trying to get rid of me?

Lorenzo: Obviously.
