[Monitor beeps]

[beeping accelerates]

Ric: I mean, you were going to tell Sonny and Jason that I was the silent partner. I had to shoot you. What choice did you give me, huh? See, but now -- now, I just -- I don't want to be the silent partner anymore, Faith. I want you to be the silent partner -- forever. Why should I give you another opportunity to give me up? Huh?

Zander: You said you were coming home, and then -- nothing.

Emily: There were some complications.

Emily: Uh -- stuff.

Let me tell you something, kid, when you are not nice to people who are trying to be nice to you, that is not a good thing, if you know what I’m saying, huh? Yeah, ok, I know I’m not nanny material, all right, and, well, we did kidnap you and everything, but -- what are you looking at? Little brat.

Alexis: What do you mean you know where the baby is?

Jax: It's a hunch.

Jax: Look; you got to ask yourself why it was so easy for the kidnapper to enter the house, unless they were family.

Alexis: All the members of the family already in this house, except for Monica and Alan, and they're at the hosp-- oh, my God.

Jax: Look, I'm not sure about this, ok? I'm not 100% sure.

Cameron: Are you all right?

Alexis: Skye Quartermaine has Kristina.

Cameron: What?

Jax: That's what I suspect. Just we need to find that out for sure.

Alexis: She drinking? What if she's drinking? She has my daughter in the car?

Jax: Alexis, Alexis, calm down.

Alexis: What if she gets into an accident?

Jax: Calm down, ok, she's not drinking. Ok, she's alone. She's out at Brenda’s old cottage. She's sober.

Cameron: Why would Skye kidnap Kristina?

Alexis: Trying to gain leverage against Edward. I'm sure A.J.'s in on this, too.

Jax: Well, I'm sure he is, yes.

Cameron: That's why he wanted to escalate the situation.

Alexis: He wants to ride in on his horse and impress Edward.

Cameron: The Quartermaines want to impress each other or destroy each other?

Alexis: Both.

Cameron: Fascinating.

Alexis: They're using my daughter to do it.

Jax: Ok, let's just go check out Skye.

Cameron: I'll go get Ned. He's in with Edward.

Jax: No, that's -- that's a bad idea.

Alexis: We can't do that. That means if Edward finds out about it, he'll try to get there first.

Jax: Let's go.

Luke: You think I hurt her, is that it?

Lucky: Would you just look at her?

Luke: This is none of your business, Cowboy.

Lucky: Why do you keep throwing Summer in my face?

Summer: Wait a second --

Lucky: No, this is all about him getting back at me, and I will not let him hurt you because of this.

Sonny: Ok, I want to make sure I understand this. If I let you give Carly the medication, she'll lose her child?

Monica: There's a very good possibility. I'm sorry.

Sonny: And if I don't, then what happens?

Monica: Carly's blood pressure is very high. The anti-hypertensive will bring it down.

Sonny: All right. You need to be straight with me, ok? If I don't give it to her, if I don't let you give it to her --

Monica: Then she runs the risk of having brain damage, having a massive stroke, or possibly dying.

Sonny: Is there anything else you can give Carly, I mean, that won't hurt the baby?

Monica: There is no other alternative treatment. Look, Sonny, you can ask for a second opinion, but the longer you wait, the harder it is for Carly.

Sonny: Is there any chance Carly can be ok, I mean, if --

Monica: There's always a chance, but the odds -- Sonny --

Sonny: Yeah?

Monica: The odds are against her right now.

Sonny: Carly would -- she would fight those odds.

Monica: Yes, maybe she would, but it isn't her choice. This is your choice.

Sonny: I need some time with my wife.

Monica: Look, I know how difficult this is, but Carly needs that medication and she needs it quickly. The longer you wait, the worse it gets for her.

Sonny: Hey, Carly. Please wake up. I can't do this. I can't do this by myself. You got to wake up, sweetheart.

Luke: So you figured it out. You know why she's upset, and it's all about you.

Lucky: No, what did you do to her?

Luke: Oh, now it's about me? Make up your mind who's the center of this universe.

Lucky: Listen, you don't have to buy into this. Until he comes up with some plan to rescue my mother, he's just using you as a diversion. He told me that himself, and he told you, too.

Luke: I told everybody. I'm an open book. I got no secrets. Why do you want to drag her into this for?

Lucky: Enough. Let's just take this someplace else.

Luke: Why do you even care? I mean, she's lovely, but what is going on?

Summer: You guys, I'm just here to have a good time, ok?

Luke: And why not, darling. Cyndi Lauper said it best.

Lucky: Summer, listen to me, I'm not doing this to hurt you. It's the opposite. Just -- I just don't want to see you get used, not ever. And that's what he's doing. And when he's finished, he's just going to throw you away.

Zander: Well, it's a pretty simple question, Em -- yes or no? I mean, are you still seeing the guy that you dumped me for or not?

Emily: We broke up when I went to Stanford. There was sort of no point, you know?

Zander: Are you seeing anybody else?

Emily: Kind of.

Zander: "Kind of"? What's that supposed to mean?

Emily: Can we just not do this right now?

Zander: Ok. When you going back to school?

Emily: I took a leave of absence.

Zander: Yeah, but you were going to be a lawyer.

Emily: Plans change.

Zander: You wanted to be like Alexis and represent people, you know, that couldn't afford --

Emily: Look, I said plans change.

Zander: What if we'd stayed on that bus that time? Remember when I came after you at boarding school? We'd have been in Mexico by now. You ever -- you ever think about that, how different our lives would be?

Emily: I don't think about things that will never happen.

Zander: You learned that from Jason. Has it ever occurred to you once that your perfect brother might be wrong about something?

Emily: Zander, no one stays with the person they loved in high school.

Zander: Or the person that they took at gunpoint, right?

Emily: My point exactly.

Zander: Yeah.

Emily: I mean, you're not some desperate guy who needs a hostage anymore. You're not a murder suspect. You have a life. So do I. They just -- they just took us different places, that's all.

Zander: When did you decide this, in the last 30 seconds?

Emily: You and Gia seem pretty happy.

Zander: Emily, it's not like that, ok? We're just friends.

Emily: Zander, it's ok. I've been gone a while.

Zander: I know, and now you're back.

Emily: I just -- I don't -- I don't want you thinking the wrong thing. I'm glad to see you. And I'm especially glad to see that you're not out of your mind on drugs. But I came back here to be with my family and to see that Jason’s ok and --

Emily: Of course I'm glad to see you. I still care about you, Zander. I always will. But that's as far as it goes.

Emily: Look, I'm sorry if I made you --

[phone rings]

Ned: Ned Ashton. Yes, yes. Who's calling? Do you realize you're tying up the lines? If you call here again, I'm pressing charges!

Edward: I take it that that wasn't the kidnapper.

Ned: Telemarketer.

Edward: Can't the police clear that line?

Alan: No word at all?

Ned: No, nothing. And time is definitely not on Kristina’s side. The longer we don't hear anything --

Edward: Ned, they'll call.

Ned: Kristina would be sleeping in the gatehouse right now if not for both of you.

Edward: You have reminded us of that, Ned, continuously for the last hour.

Ned: I've been playing by your rules all my life, Grandfather, but this time -- this time you should have never involved Kristina.

Alan: I'll check with the cops.

Edward: All right, tell them to do their jobs. I tell you, if anything would happen to that little girl --

Ned: You'll have one less potential heir, huh?

Edward: Now is not the time, Ned --

Ned: Kristina's just about the last little trophy you have, isn't she? That's if she's ever returned.

Edward: She has to be.

Ned: Tell me something -- what would you do if you had to give up E.L.Q. to save Kristina?

Edward: Well, you wouldn't --

Ned: What would you do?

Edward: I don't have to listen to this!

Ric: Come on, Faith, who you working with against Sonny, hmm? You can tell us. It's all right. Who's your silent partner?

Tony: Are you immediate family?

Ric: No, no, I'm Sonny Corinthos' attorney.

Tony: All right, stay away from her.

Ric: Is she going to be all right?

Tony: She's going to surgery, so just go on out.

Ric: Well, looks like we're going to have to wait.

Tony: Why are you so interested in this patient? Did you shoot her?

Ric: No, we're colleagues of hers doctor, ok?

Tony: All right, excuse us excuse us, please.

Jason: She say anything to you?

Ric: No, and I was pressing her pretty hard.

Jason: And Sonny asked you to speak with her.

Ric: No, not yet.

Jason: No.

Ric: I just didn't want the shooter to come back. Look, he's got his hands full with Carly. How's she doing?

Jason: Not good.

Ric: All right, is there anything I can do?

Jason: No.

Sonny: Going after Michael on the ice -- you didn't think, you just ran after him. You saved his life and you nearly lost your own. Even then, you protected our child.

Sonny: I can't -- there's no way I can lose you. Even if it costs our child.

Summer: Don't you think I know when I'm being used? I mean, it goes both ways, Lucky, come on. You should know that by now.

Lucky: But you're trying to put together a better life, and there's no way my father can help you do that.

Summer: He already has.

Lucky: Oh, I doubt that.

Luke: Take your doubts somewhere else.

Lucky: Do you want me to leave?

Luke: Look, I'm not doing the competition thing with him. So you do whatever you want.

Summer: I never meant for any of this to happen.

Luke: You want him, help yourself. You want me, that's fine, too. But we know the rules, you and I. No promises, no lies, everything's out in the open so nobody gets hurt. Isn't that what we agreed?

Summer: Yes.

Luke: You know where to find me.

Zander: Did you get a hold of your brother?

Gia: Yeah. He said Kristina’s kidnapping is Scott Baldwin’s case.

Zander: Scott's not a cop.

Gia: Yeah, but he's on Edward’s payroll. I mean, from what Marcus says, it looks like one of the Quartermaines took the baby.

Zander: Alexis must be going nuts.

Gia: Yeah. You want to go see her?

Zander: No, the last place I need to be right now is the Quartermaines'.

Gia: So are we going to pretend like Emily never showed up?

Zander: Works for me.

Gia: Ok, so that whole big "Romeo and Juliet" moment -- you're going to pretend like that never happened?

Zander: We on for The Cellar?

Gia: You're out of your mind, you know that?

Zander: Things change, people move on.

Emily: I was going to call you tonight. Yeah, I'm ok. I had to. I don't know when I'm going to be back. I'll call you.

Elizabeth: Hey.

Emily: Hey.

Elizabeth: Are you all right?

Emily: Yeah, I'm just fine.

Jax: The upstairs is clear.

Cameron: There's no sign of the baby down here.

Alexis: Somebody must have tipped Skye off.

Cameron: If she ever even had Kristina.

Alexis: Why is this place cleaned out completely? I mean, that doesn't make any sense. What if she has the baby and she's hiding her someplace?

Cameron: That's a little farfetched, don't you think?

Jax: Obviously, you don't know the Quartermaines.

Alexis: We need to get back to the house.

Cameron: Maybe the kidnappers have called.

Jax: You ok?

Cameron: Did you find anything?

Jason: Monica told me what's going on.

Sonny: I know what I have to do.

[Sonny sighs]

Sonny: The baby's safe. You know? Even after Carly got so cold, she -- she kept the baby alive inside of her. That's how -- that's how strong Carly is. That's -- that's how much she loves this child. How can I kill it, Jason?

Jason: If Carly has a stroke, she and the baby both could die.

Sonny: Are you asking me or are you just telling me that I should ok the medicine?

Jason: I'm not -- Sonny, it's not up to me.

Sonny: I'd have to tell Carly what I did. She wouldn't understand. She would -- she would not forgive me.

Jason: She's going to understand. She's going to --

Sonny: Carly would never take anything that would kill this baby. She'd rather die first, and I'd lose both of them.

Jason: But what if her blood pressure goes down without this medication?

Sonny: Monica said that the chances were very slim.

Jason: And they said that I had a chance.

[Jason sighs]

Jason: How much time? How much time do we have?

Sonny: She needs the medication right now, ok? I got -- I can't lose -- I can't lose my wife. Ok? Even for my own child. I can't do it, Jason.

Monica: Sonny?

Sonny: No.

Monica: You don't want me to give her the medication?

Sonny: I don't want my baby to die, but I don't have a choice.

Jason: Give her the shot.

Monica: Jason --

Jason: No, I'm making the decision here, Monica, not Sonny.

Monica: He is her husband.

Jason: Carly trusts me. She would let me choose, ok? You give her the medicine, and when she wakes up you tell it was me, not Sonny.

Sonny: No.

Jason: Monica --

Sonny: No, no.

Jason: Sonny, I am doing --

Sonny: I know you're doing it. You're doing it for me. I understand that. It's my wife. It's my child. I got to make the decision now. Give -- give her the medication.

[monitor beeps]

Sonny: Wait, wait, wait.

Monica: What? What's wrong?

Sonny: Carly? I think she's waking up. Hey! Carly? Carly, listen, you awake, huh? Wake up, sweetheart.

[monitor alarm]

Carly: Sonny -- Sonny --

Jason: How's her blood pressure?

Monica: Up. Way up. She could stroke out any second here.

Sonny: Could I take this off?

Carly: My head.

Sonny: Hey.

Carly: My head. Where -- where's Michael?

Sonny: Michael's fine. You got him off the ice.

Monica: Carly? Carly, you could have a stroke any moment. That's why your head hurts.

[Carly groans]

Monica: Now, the medication we're going to give you, that's going to save your life, but you'll lose the baby.

Carly: No. No, don’t. Don't hurt my baby.

Monica: Carly, without the medication, you could die.

Carly: Sonny, just stay with me.

Sonny: No, no, no, I'm with you, ok?

Carly: Don't let them hurt my baby.

Sonny: Listen to me, no one's going to hurt -- listen to me, you just got to relax, ok? You don't think about anything else. I'm right here with you, all right? Hold my hand? I'm right here. You're fine.

Carly: I love you.

Sonny: I love you, too.

Sonny: You're a miracle, baby.

[alarm stops]

Monica: Well, I'll be damned.

Jason: Her blood pressure's going down.

Sonny: You're a miracle.

Monica: Keep an eye on the monitor, ok?

Nurse: Sure.

Sonny: It's ok.

Jason: Carly, you scared us.

Sonny: One way to describe it.

Carly: All I remember is the water, the ice. And the baby. Is the baby ok?

Sonny: Yeah, the baby's fine.

Carly: Ok. I love you.

Jax: Alexis, did you find something?

Cameron: Are you all right?

Alexis: If you're right and Skye was here, then she's moving with her right now. She could be drunk, driving the baby.

Jax: I don't think Skye would put a child in danger.

Alexis: She's an active alcoholic.

Cameron: Should we bother to search the woods?

Jax: Skye in the woods? I don't think so.

Alexis: We need to get back to the house, see if they heard from the kidnappers.

Elizabeth: You barely spoke to Zander when he left.

Emily: He's obviously out on a date with Gia.

Elizabeth: Oh, you just proved you are so not over him because if you were, you wouldn't have jumped to the conclusion that he's seeing her -- which, as far as I know, he's not.

Emily: Look; I'm just saying that if he was, it wouldn't bother me. I want Zander to move on with his own life.

Elizabeth: Hmm. All right, if that's how you want it. So why'd you disappear?

Emily: I didn't!

Elizabeth: Oh, come on, I haven't heard from you in weeks, then all of a sudden you show up?

Emily: I got homesick.

Elizabeth: Excuse me?

Emily: I miss Jason and my grandmother.

Elizabeth: And Zander?

Emily: How's Jason?

Elizabeth: You are incredibly stubborn.

Emily: Annoying, isn't it?

Elizabeth: You're not going to tell me what's going on, are you?

Emily: Uh-uh.

Elizabeth: All right. All right, so Jason, Jason. Oh, yeah, the whole deal with Courtney has gotten worse, not better.

Emily: Is he still fighting with Sonny?

Elizabeth: I don't know. I'm not exactly on the inside track.

Emily: You obviously know something and you don't want to say it because you think I’ll automatically side with Jason -- which is probably true, but I'd still like to hear it.

Elizabeth: Do you remember that guy Ric I told you about?

Emily: Who wanted to be Sonny's lawyer or something?

Elizabeth: Well, he is now.

Emily: Mm-hmm?

Elizabeth: And did I happen to mention how incredibly good-looking he is?

Emily: Uh-huh. And are you going out with him now?

Elizabeth: Oh, Em, he's educated and he's sophisticated -- but not, like, pompous or pseudo-intellectual or anything -- and he's genuinely interesting, and he took me to this great play. And the whole thing with him working for Sonny -- he's very clear on the difference between his job and his life, unlike Jason, whose job is his life.

Emily: Ahem.

Elizabeth: I'm sorry. I shouldn't -- I didn't mean for it to come out like that.

Emily: That's ok. It's ok.

Elizabeth: I shouldn't have said it. You know, for me and Jason, I -- some things aren't meant to be.

Emily: Hmm. I understand.

Sonny: Feeling better?

Carly: Yeah. My headache's better.

Sonny: You're not cold?

Carly: No. I'm actually getting a little warm. Does -- where's Michael? Is he at home?

Sonny: Leticia said she took him to your mother's.

Carly: We need to call him. We need to tell him that I’m ok.

Sonny: We'll tell him he has an amazing mother who saved his little brother or sister.

Bobbie: Hi.

Sonny: Hi.

Carly: Hi, Mom.

Bobbie: Hey, Carly.

Carly: Hey.

Bobbie: Hi. Monica gave me all the details.

Carly: How's Michael?

Bobbie: Michael's just fine. Feeling any pain?

Carly: Why? What's wrong?

Sonny: What's wrong?

Monica: I'm afraid there's another problem.

Monica: Your blood pressure was very high for a while.

Sonny: But it went back down, right?

Monica: Yes, but what I’m concerned about is mild bleeding.

Sonny: What do you mean?

[Carly groans]

Sonny: Carly?

Carly: Oh, my God.

Sonny: Can you guys do something? Is there anything --

Carly: Something's wrong.

Sonny: What's happening, Monica?

Monica: This is what I was talking about. There's nothing I can do.

Carly: Sonny?

Sonny: I'm right here, I'm right here. I'm right here.

Carly: Ah! Am I going to lose the baby?

Monica: The cramping may stop, but, if it doesn't, there is a chance you could miscarry.

Sonny: You can't do anything?

Monica: No, I can't, Sonny. Let's just hope for the best.

Carly: It's ok, it's ok, Sonny, I promise.

Sonny: No.

Carly: I'm not going to lose our baby. It's ok. Ow!

Luke: I'm not in the mood for this, Nik.

Nikolas: Well, I'm simply doing what's best for my mother, Luke. That does make me your enemy.

Luke: You don't remain my friend by keeping me away from my wife.

Nikolas: I know what you're doing. Anyway, you're moving on. I mean, isn't that what Summer's all about?

Luke: What do you care about me and Summer?

Nikolas: I don’t. I don't. I don't care what you do in your personal life.

Luke: If I were moving on, you wouldn't need lawyers, you wouldn't need restraining orders. You and that pack of hack-paid doctors wouldn't have to stay up nights wondering when Laura’s going to disappear -- because one night she will, and there's not a thing you or any other son of a Cassadine can do about it.

Summer: You really didn't have to walk me home.

Lucky: Can I come in?

Summer: Suit yourself.

Lucky: I was just wondering why you were upset at the docks.

Summer: Look, if you're going to keep asking me that, leave.

Lucky: Look, I'm just worried about you.

Summer: Why? Because I'm spending so much time with your dad?

Lucky: He'll never love you.

Summer: So?

Lucky: You deserve more. You should never settle for less.

Summer: You going to save me from big bad Luke? Is that it? Show me the way? I didn't think so.

Lucky: I just don't know why you're wasting your time with him.

Summer: Luke knows how to give me what I need. Do you?

Skye: Ok. Ok. I think there's a bottle right here in this bag. She needs to eat.

A.J.: Listen, aren't you even glad that I warned you?

Skye: What, you're my partner. You're supposed to call me. As it is, I barely had enough time to get my stuff in the car and get halfway up the road.

A.J.: In other words, "thanks."

Skye: Oh, can you imagine carrying this stuff around? It is so hideous and clumsy. There you go, Princess Brat.

A.J.: "Princess Brat"?

Skye: What? It's a term of affection. Aren't those allowed? Yeah, ignore A.J. everybody else does. There you go.

A.J.: Yeah, well, not after tomorrow. No way. Once the kidnappers make their demands, we'll get everything in writing. And then we can give Princess Brat back to Ned and you and I will run to our little corner offices at E.L.Q. is that a great plan or what, hmm?

Sonny: Be with Carly tonight. Keep the baby safe inside her. It was a miracle. I know. I mean, Carly's blood pressure dropping like that. Thank you for sparing our child. Don't take him away from us now.

Sonny: The darkness is back. Ahem. I can feel it. It's gathering all around me, you know? I don't know how much longer I can hold off. I get lost in it. I give in to it. I can't -- I can't find my way back to the people who love me. I break your commandments every day, for power, for money. Please don't make my family pay for the things that I do. Luke: You'd love to think I’m too distracted to think about Laura.
