(Missing first few minutes)

Jax: Am I supposed to feel guilty for helping you get on your feet? Well, I don't, not in the least. You happen to be without resources at the moment.

Brenda: Don't flatter yourself. I have resources. You know, people tried to warn me about you, so many times, how you hate to lose. Well, I guess you've won. You broke my heart. And I don't know if you were always this way and I was just too blind to see it. Were you ever really in love with me?

Jax: No.

Jason: Faith Rosco is dangerous. She knows you're Sonny's sister. She will use you to get to him. Do you understand that?

Courtney: Yeah. Well, I'll do my best to stay out of the way, but, Jason, my life is here in Port Charles. And as far as I'm concerned, you're still part of it.

Mike: Could I speak to my daughter?

Courtney: Dad, this isn't a good time.

Jason: I just --

Courtney: Jason, wait, just --

Mike: Honey -- honey, I've seen this story, and I know how it ends. And believe me, it's not a place you want to go.

Elizabeth: Who are you defending yourself from? If you were loading that gun because there's something going on between you and Sonny, then I suggest you get out of town as soon as possible.

Ric: No, I've waited too long to get to Port Charles. I'm not walking away now.

Elizabeth: Walking away from what? What here could possibly be worth risking your life?

Ric: It's something that I have to do.

Elizabeth: To Sonny? With Sonny?

Ric: Look, I can't tell you. What I can tell you is that it ends here.

Sonny: Wait, come here. Come on.

Carly: Don’t.

Sonny: I kissed Brenda. I was absolutely wrong. You are entitled to hate it. You can be angry for as long as you want, as long as you need to be, but I'm going to tell you I'm going to fight, I am going to fight to hang on to our marriage.

Carly: Don’t. Don't you ask me to believe in us. Don't do this. Don't you know that it hurts me? I don't want to hurt any more because every time it's more pain than the last. I'd rather let all this go.

Sonny: I'm not going to let you go. I'm not going to do it.

Carly: But you don't want me, Sonny!

Sonny: Yes, I do!

Carly: I am not enough for you! I am not -- I am not needy, and I am not spoiled and perfect, and I'm never going to be that little doll that you stole from everybody who you thought were better than you. Brenda's your trophy. I'm a consolation prize. I'm what you decided to settle for when you thought that she was gone forever, and it's not enough for me, Sonny. I loved you. I loved you with everything I had, and then you --

Sonny: You still love me. That's why you're standing here fighting for me when you don't even want to. And I will fight for you as hard as I have to.

Carly: You know what? You fought yourself as long as you could, and then you -- you gave in, Sonny.

Sonny: If I still loved Brenda, I would be with her. I don't want to be with her. I want to be with you.

Carly: You don’t.

Sonny: I was with Brenda for a little more than a year, okay? Yeah, there was always love, but -- but it was never a life. You're my life. We have a life together. We had a child together. We lost him together. We made a lot of mistakes -- leaving, coming back -- come here, listen to me. Just -- okay. Just listen for one second, all right? I know how you look when you're angry, when you're afraid, when you're crazy. I've seen you so hurt you can barely stand. But you always -- you always could. You know me better than anybody. You are no trophy, okay? You're nothing I stole. You're no consolation prize. You are my wife, and I love you. That's forever.

Jax: I'd loved you for so long that I couldn't bear to let go. But when Carly came to me and told me that you were kissing Sonny, I didn't want to believe it. But I've always known deep down in my heart that if you had the choice you would choose Sonny over me.

Brenda: No.

Jax: And that's when I realized that the Brenda that I loved died in the freezing water, if she ever existed at all.

Brenda: Then why couldn't you tell me this before the wedding?

Jax: Because I thought I could live with it. I didn't think it would bother me.

Brenda: Oh.

Jax: When I stood there in front of you, I realized that I've been lying to myself about your feelings for Sonny. And I don't want to be married to someone that doesn't love me as much as I love them because I deserve better than that.

Jax: I see your ex-husband is here to take you to the airport. You have a nice trip.

Brenda: Wait.

Brenda: Why don't you take this and donate it to a foundation for battered women. Or maybe you might want to take it down there yourself. You can find a new girl to rescue.

Jax: You're your own worst enemy.

Brenda: I know.

Jax: I truly hope that you find happiness wherever you go.

Jason: You okay?

Brenda: Yes.

Jason: You still want to leave?

Brenda: Yes. I'm going to go down and grab one of the guards to help with the suitcases.

Jason: Hold on, hold on.

Brenda: What? What?

Jason: It's an account --

Brenda: No, I don't need an account.

Jason: In your name in a Swiss bank. Listen to me. This is not from Sonny. It's from me.

Brenda: I don't want your charity!

Jason: Brenda, listen to me for one minute. You don't have a job, you've been legally dead for four years, you have no money, you have no assets. You wanted to borrow enough to get to Europe. I'm just giving you some more to live on.

Brenda: You know I'd pay you back, right?

Jason: I know you'll pay me. Don't -- look, I have enough money.

Mike: I knew that you and Jason were more than just friends. That's why you kept disappearing, isn't it? You -- you were meeting Jason somewhere.

Courtney: Dad, just save the lecture. Sonny already ordered Jason to stay away from me.

Mike: So what was he doing around here?

Courtney: Telling me to leave Port Charles. But it doesn't matter because I love him.

Mike: You know who you sound like? Sonny's mother, Adela. We -- we fell in love at first sight. Her family warned her that she deserved better, that I would turn out to be a deadbeat and that I would abandon her, but she refused to listen. And I turned out to be everything her family predicted.

Courtney: Dad, I love Jason and Jason loves me. It would be a mistake if --

Mike: Adela and I loved each other, too, honey. But sometimes love can blind you to the truth, which is why you need to keep listening to what your friends and family keep telling you. Adela and I had troubles all along, but she had herself convinced that our love would see us through anything. What she didn't realize was that my addiction to gambling was stronger than my love for her.

Courtney: Jason's not addicted to anything.

Mike: Jason is addicted to his job. Nothing will ever be more important to him than the work he does for Sonny.

Carly: I don't want to climb into bed and act like it's going to fix all our problems. It's not going to change anything. It's just going to bury our problems for a little while, and then eventually, they're going to come back and cause more damage.

Sonny: You know, I made a big mistake. You know, and it's not going to be my first or my last, but I can promise you with absolute certainty there was never a chance of me leaving you. I made a wrong turn and went down a road I don't want to travel. I screwed up, I hurt you, and I wish I didn’t. You know what? If I could turn back the clock, I wish I could and just erase that night, but, you know --

Carly: So do I.

Sonny: Can we just go forward, move on?

Carly: Look ahead and not back, not punish each other for things we can't undo?

Sonny: I'd like that.

Carly: So would I.

Jason: So, you got enough money?

Brenda: Would you please stop trying to give me money.

Jason: Fine, okay, fine.

Brenda: It's really a turnoff.

Jason: If you want to hitchhike with 14 suitcases --

Brenda: You know, I just have this feeling that I am never, ever going to be with somebody for years and years. I mean, I appear to be normal to the naked eye, right? I meet someone, I get engaged, I plan a wedding, and then I have these really bad wedding days.

Jason: Well, next time you have a wedding, maybe you should do it, you know, the way we did.

Brenda: Minus the love.

Jason: Minus the wedding.

Brenda: Minus the wedding. Exactly.

P.A. Announcer: Attention, all passengers holding tickets for Flight 11 to London Heathrow --

Jason: All right.

Announcer: Your flight has been delayed due to weather conditions. Please watch the gate board for updates.

Jason: Oh, you got to be kidding me.

Brenda: You don't have to stay.

Jason: No, no, I'm going to stay because it's easier than getting a call saying you missed the flight.

Brenda: No, no, no, please do not stay. I have three magazines and a really boring book that I would actually read rather than sit here and listen to you breathe all over me.

Jason: Do you have enough money?

Brenda: All right.

Jason: All right.

Brenda: You want to lower your voice when you say that.

Jason: Good luck. Good luck with everything.

Brenda: Thanks.

Jason: Just, you know, call me if you need anything at all.

Brenda: Um -- uh --

Jason: What?

Brenda: I've changed my mind.

Jason: Oh, Brenda. You can't -- you can't stay with me.

Brenda: No, no, no. No, no. Not about that. About you and Courtney. You love her. She loves you. You guys should just be together. Look --

Jason: Just --

Brenda: Trust me on this one, life does not hand you endless happiness. You need to grab it while you can.

Jason: Look, just --

Brenda: I know, I know you think I'm spoiled and I'm self-centered and that I don't know anything. And actually, you're right, but I do know one thing for sure. Life is too short to not be happy. And did you know that, out of everyone I've ever met, you deserve it the most.

Brenda: Go ahead and hug me.

Jason: Thank you.

Brenda: You're welcome.

Jason: You know what? I'm really going to miss your cookies. I am.

Brenda: Please leave now.

Courtney: Don't even try to compare Jason to yourself.

Mike: All right. All right, what about little Michael, huh? Jason was little Michael’s father for the first year of his life, and then he just gave him to Sonny. The same with Carly. If Sonny wants something, anything, Jason makes that sacrifice. You will never come first, honey.

Courtney: You know, meeting Jason and falling in love with him was the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Mike: Damn it, honey, you sound exactly like Adela! And look what it got her. Forget all about the danger, okay? If you tie yourself to someone who will never, ever put you first, it's going to weigh you down and it's going to break your heart.

Courtney: I love Jason. No one is ever going to convince me that we'd be better off apart, okay? Isn't love supposed to be the most precious thing in the world? You don't just throw something that precious away. It's a mistake that could cost you everything.

Carly: Hey.

Sonny: What's wrong?

Carly: Nothing.

Sonny: What are you thinking about?

Carly: I just -- I love you so much it scares me sometimes because I thought I had found the strength to let you go. Yet here we are.

Carly: I just worry sometimes.

Sonny: You don't have to worry. You mean everything to me. All right? Well, I'd better get up.

Carly: Oh, yeah? Where are you going?

Sonny: I want to take my beautiful wife to her brand-new club, toast her success, and I may even have a little slow dance with you.

[Sonny laughs]

Carly: Really?

Sonny: Yeah.

Carly: Oh, lucky me.

Sonny: You worked hard to make this club happen. Now it is, and it looks great, and it's all yours.

[Shower runs]

Sonny: We're going to celebrate, right? Guess what -- I'll even be nice to Ric if you want me to.

Elizabeth: You aren't by any chance a federal agent, are you? Working undercover to get evidence against Sonny?

Ric: You think if I were a federal agent working undercover that I'd tell you?

Elizabeth: Can't you ever answer a question with a yes or no?

Ric: Depends on the question.

Elizabeth: All right, fine. You're a lawyer. You went to Harvard.

Ric: Mm-hmm.

Elizabeth: Which means you have money.

Ric: Yes.

Elizabeth: Why don't you ever talk about your family?

Ric: Oh, there goes the yes or no.

Elizabeth: Well, why won't you answer? I mean, do you have something to hide?

Ric: No, not at all. I just -- I don't like to talk about my family because I think it's boring when people who have had everything talk about what they don't have.

Elizabeth: Well, I'll let you know when I'm bored.

Ric: Look, I'm just -- I'm close to the end here. My trail is just a little blocked by a big stone wall surrounded by an electric fence guarded by killer wolves.

Elizabeth: Sonny?

Ric: No comment.

Elizabeth: But you've decided not to let any of that stand in your way, right?

Ric: No, I've come too far to turn back now.

Coleman: Well, I'm just saying that, you know, it doesn't show.

Skye: What doesn't?

Coleman: All the drinking. A lot of alcoholics look like hell. So, you feel like you're maybe turning a little corner, getting the old life back in control?

Skye: If I were getting my life back in control, I wouldn't still be sleeping with you.

Coleman: I think you would. As a matter of fact, we'd be doing it right now instead of sitting here waiting for --

Skye: You know, stop threatening me, okay? I don't have what you need or what you want. I swear, you contact me again and I will call the police.

Jax: If he contacts you again, you call me. You stay away from Skye or you'll regret it. You understand?

Skye: Well, your timing was flawless, as usual. I didn't know you were there.

Jax: You just let me know if he bothers you again.

Skye: Thanks. So, how are you doing?

Jax: If you're asking about Brenda, she's leaving town.

Skye: Is that what you want, for Brenda to leave Port Charles?

Jax: Well, if she wouldn't have left, I would have.

Skye: Oh. I'm glad it was her.

Jax: Yeah, before the wedding, you came to me. You wanted to tell me about the woman that you saw running from Alcazar's suite, so, you want to tell me about that?

Skye: Felicia's looking into some things, and there's not really much I can do till she gets back to me, so -- what were you doing at Kelly’s, anyway? I know that you prefer the Grill.

Jax: So do you.

Skye: Yeah, the Grill serves alcohol.

Jax: I was on my way to see Carly, see if I could find her in her new club downstairs. I just wanted to see if she was okay and if she was getting back together with Sonny or if she needed a new financial backer for her club.

Skye: So she can embezzle from you again?

Jax: I have to admit working with Carly is a little risky, but it has its advantages.

Skye: Like getting the chance to stick it to Sonny.

Jax: Yeah, that's right.

Sonny: The place is packed. I'm very proud of you.

Carly: Thank you.

Sonny: You think Courtney is working?

Carly: Well, she should be.

Ric: What's wrong?

Elizabeth: Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean, Sonny's probably going to show up.

Ric: I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Elizabeth: Thank you. All right, then. Well, here is to finding your way around or over that stone wall surrounded by wolves that's keeping you from your answers.

Ric: Now here's to the direct route right through the front door.

Elizabeth: Okay.

Sonny: Why are you so tense?

Carly: I'm not.

Sonny: The guy doesn't waste any time, does he? What are you doing?

Carly: Nothing. No, you don't like Ric, so I'm avoiding him.

Sonny: Well, let's just get it over with.

Ric: Good evening. I owe you an apology. I crossed the line last night.

Courtney: You don't have to worry about Sonny. He and Carly left before I came up. They were dressed to go to the club, holding hands. It certainly seems like they're working things out.

Jason: I'm not worried about Sonny. Why are you here?

Courtney: My dad compared himself to you. He was unable to raise his two children because he was addicted to gambling, and he thinks that you're addicted to your job, that you choose your loyalty to Sonny over everything and everybody.

Jason: I'm not. I'm not addicted to anything. Courtney, I have a life that I cannot get out of, and it will hurt you.

Courtney: What am I supposed to do with all these feelings that I have left? I miss you. I miss us.

Courtney: I'm not changing my mind. Jason, I'm not going away. I accept that there's danger in your life, and I'll take my chances.

Jason: Courtney, I don't want you to be with me. I'd rather that you're alive somewhere. I know you don't understand this, but one day you will. It would absolutely kill me to watch you die.

Courtney: Jason, nobody knows what's going to happen in the future. All we have is what we feel right now. There's no way that I will ever be happy without you, and there's no way that I'm ever going to stop trying to get you to see that.

Faith: I want my revenge, and I want it now. And Sonny's sister Courtney is the fastest way to get it. Now, I've been told that you might be able to help me with what I want to do. Are you interested?

Coleman: Well, what's in it for me?

Ric: I just -- I took advantage of a bad situation.

Carly: Oh, you know, we all acted like fools last night. I left my club opening, so, unless you admit to skimming from the till --

Sonny: No, I want to -- let's just hear what he has to say.

Ric: No, I just thought Carly should know that I left the club opening, too, to work on a project of my own.

Carly: No harm, no foul. If you'll excuse us, my husband promised me a dance.

Ric: Absolutely.

Sonny: Something wrong with you and him?

Carly: No. It's just that you two don't like each other, so it's just better if we avoid him when you're around.

Sonny: Hmm. I wonder what that other project was.

[Phone rings]

Sonny: Yeah, I'm sorry. I got to take this. I'll be right back.

Carly: It's okay.

Sonny: All right.

[Ring]

Ric: It seems like you and Sonny are working things out.

Carly: Okay, listen, for everyone's sake, it's better that we just forget what happened last night. It's deleted. Never happened.

Ric: Understood.

Carly: Good.

Ric: You won't get any complications from my end.

Carly: Very good. And I'm warning you again, if Sonny ever finds out, he will kill you.

Ric: No complications from my end at all.

Skye: Well, there's nothing wrong with a little payback, especially when the target is Sonny. I think I recall that we bonded over an anti-Sonny pact, as a matter of fact.

Jax: I seem to recall that a lot of that was in someone's imagination.

Skye: Hey, I did not imagine being locked in that boat shed.

Jax: That was Carly. That had nothing to do with Sonny.

Skye: Still, a part of the Corinthos faction.

Jax: Oh.

Skye: Wow. It's hard to believe it was almost a year ago. If I only knew what was ahead of us. Just think of all the pain we could have avoided inflicting on each other.

Jax: Yeah, well, life can be pretty twisted.

Skye: And we are through it now, right, for better or for worse. Mind if we skip the "I told you so's" and just go back to being good friends?

Jax: Sure, sure, yeah. It's fine with me.

[Music plays]

Jax: No.

Attendant: Excuse me, Miss. They're about to close the door. If you want to be on this flight, you need to board now.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Ned: Now, what are you really up to?

Faith: Anything can happen in a place like this.

Scott: If we don't find another suspect, we're going to charge you with murder.

Cameron: Nobody has to know what's really going on.

Alexis: Why are you doing this for me?

Carly: Sonny can never find out what happened that night.

Sonny: You dumped Brenda at the altar, and you're going to blame me?

Jax: This has everything to do with you.
