>> Previously on "General Hospital" --

Monica: She is working a scam, and your father is the victim!

Alexis: We're free.

Kristina: Yeah!

Luke: Ain't this a shame? The monsters are gone. We're so overdue for a happy ending.

Melissa: I could get so used to this.

Roy: There's nothing left but the future.

Edward: Oh, there you are, Monica. Why haven't you done something about this?

Monica: Edward, you're going to have to be a little more specific.

Edward: This.

Monica: "Sweet Cheeks, Remember the roses. Always, Sugar Dove." That's good. Okay, now maybe I can help you out; "The woman's delusional. She's made a horrible mistake. She has mistaken me for somebody else," okay?

Edward: It's the truth, Monica.

Monica: Oh, please.

Edward: Now, look, whatever I did or didn't do with Janine, I simply can't remember. And these are no less than a threat, hmm?

Monica: What, the flowers?

Edward: Might as well be a brick thrown through a window. Janine is on a campaign to get me, and this is the opening salvo. You see, she's trying to -- she's trying to soften me up, to appeal to my emotions, to get to my more tender self.

Monica: Something tells me that Janine’s motives are more financial than they are romantic.

Edward: Monica, I don't need your sarcasm right now. I need a solution. You told me you would help, and God knows I'd rather be in league with you than with Skye.

Monica: Oh. Oh, please. You forget about Skye right now. You just addressed the problem head-on.

Edward: What are you saying?

Monica: Well, you just -- you strike at the heart of the matter. And -- what is it? -- Oh, yes -- "Sugar Dove" seems to be the weak link here.

Kristina: Oh! You're okay and you're here!

Alexis: Yeah, I'm okay and I'm here and I had a lot of help from my favorite ex-husband.

Kristina: Well, Jax promised that he would find you for me.

Alexis: He's useful that way.

Jax: Yeah, just for the record, I want to say that when you disappeared, I tried to get Kristina to relocate.

Kristina: And I told him that I wouldn’t.

Alexis: And you should have listened to him.

Kristina: And miss your homecoming? Are you kidding me? Besides, you wouldn't have left for me.

Alexis: You sound like you're related or something.

Kristina: How's Stefan?

Alexis: He's good. He's fine.

Kristina: Good.

Alexis: He was very resourceful. You'd have been very proud of him.

Kristina: Alexis, you're a credit to the family. You are.

Stefan: Where's my mother?

Mac: Helena will be along shortly.

Scott: Mac, listen, you got to hold her for at least 48 hours so she has no chance of bail.

Mac: What are you, on the clock, Baldwin? Helena will be processed by the book, along with the rest of you. I'll take all your statements, starting at the beginning.

Bobbie: It might be a good idea for you to go over to G.H. and just let Tony take a look at you.

Luke: Barbara, I'm feeling better now than I have in years, believe me. And there's no way I'm going to miss this. I mean, I ain't leaving here until I see Helena in some cell chained to the wall. And speak of the devil. Well, well, well. Not your usual fabulous entrance, my darling.

Edward: Monica, I would do anything to keep Lila from hearing about this, anything except speaking to Janine alone.

Monica: Why not?

Edward: Monica, I seem to have an intoxicating effect on that woman. It really makes things worse.

Monica: I seriously doubt that.

Edward: You've seen for yourself. She can't keep her eyes off of me.

Monica: Edward, I think she can't keep her eyes off your wallet. But I'll tell you something. If Janine thinks that Skye represents this family, I am going to make the truth perfectly clear to her, no matter what it takes.

Skye: Gracious greetings, all. Broken any hearts today, Grandfather?

Monica: Obviously, you're on your way out. Don't let us keep you.

Skye: Oh, I will be as soon as I find my red purse. I know I left it in here earlier.

Skye: Well, by all means, don't help me look for it.

Monica: Okey-doke.

Edward: What's that look for? Oh-ho-ho-ho, bravo. But how is a purse-snatching going to help us get rid of Janine?

Monica: Just watch me.

Luke: We're all ears, Madam Cassadine, hanging on your every breath. Pearls of wisdom? Pithy comments? Parting shots?

Helena: Poor Luke, as pathetic in your temporary victory as you will be in your ultimate defeat.

Luke: Stavros is gone, Mama. This time he ain't coming back. I was with him right up to the end.

Helena: Well, you're lying.

Luke: Let me put it to you this way -- in the maze you built, there's a trap door. It leads to a bottomless pit. Your freeze-dried son fell into it.

Mac: Get Helena Cassadine processed.

Mac: I'll take your statements, then you're free to go. Bobbie, Lucky, we'll start with you two, in here.

Scott: Hey, Laura, you know what? Mac's finally right about something. You're free now.

Laura: And you helped me get there. Thank you. I want to talk to my son for a while.

Scott: Okay.

Nikolas: Hey.

Laura: I'm sorry you had to find out about your father that way.

Nikolas: Well, he just wanted us to be safe. I mean, he let Gia and me go, he didn't have to, but he did.

Mac: Laura? Scott? You're next.

Laura: We'll talk, all right? When you feel ready.

Nikolas: Absolutely.

Taggert: Sis? Can we have a moment?

Gia: Now?

Taggert: Very much now.

Stefan: Nikolas, I know this might not be the most appropriate time, but I want to tell you how proud I am of you.

Nikolas: I love you, Uncle. I'm just glad that things are -- well, you know what? I shouldn't say that they're back to the way they used to be because nothing is like it was anymore.

Stefan: Listen, you are still the heir. That is as it should be. This family has never needed you more.

Nikolas: Uncle, that is the one thing that has not changed. I want nothing to do with this family.

Stefan: I know something that might change your mind.

Kristina: So, how is the nephew that I've never met? Nikolas?

Alexis: Nikolas is having a rough time. I mean, you can imagine having Stavros for your father. He's nothing like him. Don't worry.

Kristina: So, okay, that is why I was in hiding, right? A long-lost brother, who everyone's happy is lost again, and a wicked stepmother, who is the reason why the long-lost brother is back. I couldn't even invent something this good, I'll tell you.

Alexis: No, you couldn't.

Ned: Well, don't sell yourself short.

Jax: Yeah.

Ned: I'm glad you're safe.

Alexis: I see the popcorn.

Ned: I knew you'd be back. It's still warm.

Alexis: I'm going to eat it in a little bit. Do you mind if I take a shower or something? I'm filthy.

Ned: No.

Kristina: And you are exhausted. So why don't I draw you a hot bath?

Alexis: Oh --

Kristina: And while you're soaking, I will put together an outfit for you.

Alexis: An outfit for me?

Kristina: My, yes.

Alexis: Oh, well, that should be interesting. Maybe we can burn these anyway because they are filthy. I'm glad you're here.

Kristina: Oh. Where else would I be but with you.

Alexis: I won't be long, you guys.

Ned: You know where the fresh towels are.

Jax: Kristina, I know you and Alexis are going to be talking well into the morning, so I'm going to head out and leave you to it.

Kristina: Oh, no, no, no, not so fast. You can't leave here, not after everything that's happened. We're going to have a party, Jax!

Ned: We are?

Kristina: Yeah! Good triumphed over evil today. So, if that's not a cause for celebration, I don't know what is. Ned, is your phone book in the kitchen?

Ned: Yeah.

Kristina: Okay.

Ned: First drawer on the right.

Kristina: I will be right back. I am going to make some phone calls. All right?

Ned: Tell me something. Was it as bad as Alexis is doing her best not to let on?

Jax: Yeah, worse. But you know what? Kristina's right. Today good won out. Helena Cassadine is finally going to pay.

Helena: You tell the commissioner that I demand to see my attorney now!

Officer: The commissioner's busy, rolling up all the charges against you.

Helena: Lucky? Well, isn't this a surprise. Well, perhaps you've come to protect your queen after all.

Monica: Mother's maiden name is Cummings. Rae Cummings. Well, yes, of course I am Skye Chandler. Who else would be calling to report a stolen card? Oh, and while I have you on the line, I'd like to get a list of some current charges, please? Yeah. Yes, oh, that's mine. Right. The Port Charles Hotel? No. No, that is definitely not mine. So -- look, why don't I just cancel this card altogether, okay? Well, I'll get back to you, maybe. Thank you. Bye.

Edward: The gall of that woman, using my hotel to shelter a potential blackmailer. Where are you going?

Monica: I'm going to the hotel, of course. I can't wait to see what phony names Skye registered Janine under.

Edward: Now, you be careful, Monica. I don't want this thing to escalate.

Monica: Edward, I know what I'm doing. Your job is to keep Skye occupied. No matter what, she is not to leave this house, all right?

Edward: Well, how do you expect me to keep her here, Monica?

Monica: Well, I don't know, Edward. Use your imagination. Or better yet, use your tender side.

Edward: Oh, you --

Lila: Edward?

Edward: Lila!

Lila: Edward, what on earth are up to you?

Edward: Well, nothing, my dear. Why -- why would you think that?

Lila: Well, you always turn that lovely shade of pink when I catch you red-handed. Now, what have you done?

Skye: Excellent question. Is something going on, Grandpa?

Helena: Let me help you, Lucky. You're safe with me. You know that. We have such a long history together. And I've always protected you, haven't I? There's no reason to change that. Let me guide you back.

Lucky: You're so pathetic.

Helena: No, Lucky, concentrate. Try to remember.

Lucky: I do.

Helena: Oh.

Lucky: Don't worry. You see, this is me testing myself, Helena, making sure that you're no longer inside my head, that you no longer control me.

Helena: Oh, Lucky, we're friends, aren't we? Confidants?

Lucky: I just wanted to make sure. After all, I want to remember this sight for the rest of my life -- you locked in a cage, no longer in control of me, completely at someone else's mercy. Oh, of course it doesn't make up what you did to me. But it is a start.

Helena: Well, my accommodations are temporary, I assure you.

Lucky: You might want to rethink that strategy, Helena. That's what got you here in the first place. You know, I'm not going to be able to get back what you took from me. But I'm free. You know, my mom and dad were right. Love can conquer all. Even inside a prison cell. But that doesn't do you any good, does it? Because you've never had love and you never will. I win, Helena! I win! And you lose.

[Door closes]

Nikolas: Uncle, I have seen and done things I never thought I was capable of, and it changed me. I saw what they did to my father, and I -- I won't let that happen to me.

Stefan: Nikolas, don't you see that it's that very experience that has prepared you to reclaim your place? You can change this family. You take the Cassadine name and make it stand for something. You don't have to run from it anymore.

Taggert: You pull one more stunt like that and I'm going to handcuff you to my wrist to keep you out of trouble, okay? And as far as that little rich brat kid --

Gia: Okay, you know what? Not another word about Nikolas. Nikolas believed in me when no one else did, when I didn't even believe in myself. You know, in fact, I think I've been away from him for just a little bit too long.

Taggert: Gia -- excuse -- ahem.

Nikolas: What's -- what's this about?

Taggert: I -- I don't know what it's about, but whatever it is, it's going to take a while because I have no idea where the keys are to those cuffs.

Gia: Fine by me.

Nikolas: I'm not complaining.

Lucky: Mom, you look tired.

Laura: Hmm.

Lucky: You want me to take you home?

Scott: That's a good idea. Go home, get some rest, then I'm going to take you out for some stone crabs. In fact, why don't we just go to the Caribbean and get the stone crabs, huh?

Laura: You know, I think more than anything else I just want to go home. I just want to be with the people I love. And that includes both of you. Let me get everything I need. You're invited, too, if you like.

Luke: Thanks. Some other time. Hey, you did really good.

Laura: You did, too.

Luke: Okay. He's the man.

Lucky: I think that's you.

Luke: We'll talk, right?

Lucky: Yes, we will.

Luke: Thanks for sending in the troops, orphey.

Felicia: You're welcome, Luke.

[Doorbell rings]

Scott: Hi.

Laura: Hi!

Scott: Oh, look at you. You're smiling and everything. That's good.

Laura: Well, I have a lot to be relieved about. Come on in.

Scott: Uh-huh. Now, wait a second. You sound just a teeny bit tentative here.

Laura: Well, you know, Helena and her vendetta have been a part of my life for so long that it -- it's just a little bit hard to believe that it's really over, but -- I don't know. I'm just so glad to be home.

Scott: And you look so good in your home. It suits you.

Gia: It was a joke. I mean, you all know that, right? My heart was in the right place.

Taggert: Yeah. But the key isn’t. Apparently, neither is your brain when it comes to little Prince Charming here.

Gia: Did you listen to anything that I said?

Taggert: Every word. Oh, I especially love the part about the demented father using an alias to track you for months to find out information about Nikolas.  That really reassured me.

Gia: But I am fine now. Nikolas saved me.

Taggert: I'll make you a deal. I'll keep looking for the key, you keeping for a little common sense.

Nikolas: See you, Taggert. You know, we don't need handcuffs to stay together.

Gia: Well, I'm just making sure.

Stefan: Nikolas, the commissioner is working on dismissing all charges. In the meantime, I'm free to go.

Nikolas: Well, it's about time.

Stefan: If you're free --

Nikolas: Yeah.

Stefan: I have someone I want you to meet.

Nikolas: Listen, Uncle, it's late and I'm tired and I'm not quite in the mood.

Stefan: Listen, just bear with me. In the midst of all this chaos, Alexis shared something with me. It was an unexpected gift, you might say. I'd like to share it with you.

Nikolas: What are you talking about?

Stefan: Alexis and I have a sister. Her name is Kristina.

Kristina: Come on, come on.

Alexis: No.

Kristina: You look great. Come downstairs.

Alexis: You know, I'm going to let you dress me up just this once because of a sister thing, but it's not going to happen again.

Kristina: I think that I resent that.

Alexis: Don’t. This is just not good for court.

Kristina: You look fine -- you look more than fine. Come on. Ta-da!

Ned: Hmm.

Kristina: Doesn't she look great?

Jax: Yeah, wow.

Kristina: Doesn't she?

Ned: The last time you looked this good was when you borrowed that outfit from Emily. Remember?

Alexis: I want my clothes.

Kristina: Too late. I burned them, as requested.

Alexis: How about a coat? How about a sweater? Do you have a long sweater?

Ned: You look great.

Alexis: I'll think of something.

Kristina: Alexis, stop, stop. You look beautiful. You always look beautiful.

Alexis: No, I appreciate the vote of confidence. I honestly do. It's just -- it's nothing personal. It's just not my style.

Kristina: Would you tell her --

[Knock on door]

Kristina: Oh. I got it, I got it.

Alexis: Kristina --

Kristina: Off.

Ned: Hmm.

Jax: Hmm.

Alexis: Keep quiet.

Kristina: Well, hello. Come on in.

Jax: Hey, boys.

Ned: You arranged all this with three phone calls?

Kristina: Well, hey. Two, actually. The third one didn't answer.

Man: Wow.

Alexis: Didn't I used to babysit for you?

Kristina: This is the guest of honor, my sister.

Man: She gets my vote.

Alexis: Will you give me a ride home?

Jax: No.

Kristina: No, no, and miss the party? Stop. You're okay. You're here. And we're going to celebrate.

Alexis: Rock on.

Laura: Lucky!

Lucky: Hey.

Laura: Hey. Where have you been?

Lucky: Oh, I had something I had to take care of.

Laura: Oh?

Lucky: A little surprise Scott and I cooked up for you.

Laura: Uh-oh. Surprise?

Scott: Did somebody just say "surprise"?

Laura: What? Oh, no.

Scott: Surprise is always good, isn't it?

Lesley Lu: Mommy!

Lesley: Surprise!

Laura: Oh! Oh, Lulu! Oh, sweetie, come here. Oh, I missed you. I missed you so much.

Scott: Hey!

Gail: Scott!

Lesley: Okay, how's my baby?

Laura: I missed you, too.

Scott: You had a good time?

Lee: Good. We had a good time.

Laura: You did? Oh, I'm so glad.

Lesley: Oh, and she had a great time.

Gail: Laura, how are you? Oh! Oh, it's so good to see you, sweetheart.

Laura: It's good to see you, too.

Lee: How are you?

Laura: Good. How are you?

Lee: Well, well.

Gail: We just brought a few things.

Bobbie: We came with a lot of stuff.

Laura: Serena, hi!

Serena: Hi.

Lucky: Oh, nice.

Laura: Lucas, is that you under there? Hello.

Lucas: Hi.

Laura: Hi, Bobbie. Thank you.

Edward: There now, you see? You've gone and ruined the whole thing. Look, my dear. These are for you.

Lila: Oh, Edward, thank you, dear. How lovely.

Skye: Oh, we mustn't forget the card.

Edward: Oh, never mind the card. It was just an afterthought.

Lila: Oh, nonsense. Please read it to me, dear.

Skye: Oh, my pleasure.

Edward: I'm standing right here, dear. I can tell her how I feel.

Skye: Grandfather, don't be embarrassed by what I'm sure are just a few very loving words. Let's see. Oh, how sweet. "My Dearest Darling, You can still bring a flush to my cheeks. Always, Edward."

Lila: Oh, Edward, that's beautiful.

Edward: And every word is true.

[Noise]

Lila: Thank you --

Edward: Where the hell did that noise come from?

Skye: There it is. Monica must have been sitting on it. Well, I'll leave you two lovebirds alone, then.

Edward: Oh, no, no, no. Don't leave. You can't.

Skye: Why not?

Janine: Oh. What are you doing here?

Monica: Janine. Gee, I expected to see Julia Roberts. I mean, that's who the room is registered to. Tell me, whose idea was that, yours or Skye’s?

Janine: Uh -- Skye said that I should try to be a little discreet and I really like Julia Roberts. Did you ever see "Pretty Woman" or "Erin Brockovich"? No? "The Mexican"? James Gandolfini is such a hottie!

Monica: Okay. Okay, you can drop it now, Janine. Obviously, you are acting under some very misguided illusions. So, I'm here to clear them up for you.

Edward: Lila's in her room. I wanted to spare her this.

Skye: I'm sorry, but I'm on my way out. This is going to have to wait.

Edward: No, please. Can't you and I have a civilized conversation, huh?

Skye: I wasn't aware there were any civilizations that sold off their young. To which were you referring?

Edward: I'm trying to thank you. Please don't make it more distasteful than it is.

Skye: Thank me for what?

Edward: Your discretion. You could have exposed me to Lila. But for some unexplained reason, you chose not to. She still believes that Janine is your long-lost friend from Pine Valley.

Skye: And she'll remain that way as long as you give me what I want. Which you haven't, by the way, which you resent, and why are you suddenly being so nice to me? Unless -- somebody's been through my wallet. And that somebody better not be where I think she is.

Gia: I promise Nikolas and I will come back the minute you find the key. Just call me on my cell, Marcus. He's still looking for the key. I'm sorry.

Nikolas: It's okay. I've been in worse situations.

Stefan: Nikolas, I realize you're dealing with a lot right now, but our family is changing for the better. And I hope that when you meet Kristina, you'll see that.

Nikolas: So what's she like?

Stefan: I've only met her a couple of times myself, but -- she's kind. She's intuitive. You judge for yourself. Come on.

[Rock music plays]

Singer: She gets across the street though I never seen her much she's always out and about she's ever out of touch

Gia: Well, it seems like she knows a lot of people in town. Which one is she?

Singer: This girl she's got the touch

Singers: She's a crazy girl in a crazy world

Stefan: Alexis?

Singers: Crazy girl in a crazy world

Alexis: Kristina is trying to get me to loosen up. You're next.

Stefan: Oh, I don't think so.

Nikolas: You're hot. What can I say?

Stefan: Where is she?

Alexis: Right there. Kristina. Whoo!

Stefan: Hello.

Kristina: Hi.

Stefan: Oh, hi. How are you?

Kristina: I'm good.

Stefan: There's someone I want you to meet. This is your nephew, Nikolas.

Kristina: Nice to meet you.

Nikolas: You, too, Aunt Kristina, I guess --

kristina: Oh, no, no, no, no. It's just Kristina. It's like if would call you Nicky.

Nikolas: Oh, I see.

Kristina: Come here.

Nikolas: It's great to meet you.

Gia: And I'm Gia. I'm with him.

Kristina: What, are you his arresting officer or his girlfriend?

Nikolas: A little of both.

Jax: Listen, I have something to say to you in private.

Laura: Hey. Here you go. Sorry to be such a mommy, but I just can't help it.

Lucky: Thanks.

Laura: You okay?

Lucky: Yeah, yeah. Actually, I'm -- I'm better than okay right now. Nikolas just gave me a number where I can reach Elizabeth.

Laura: And?

Lucky: And I called, but it was busy. I can't wait to see her.

Laura: I'm sure she can't wait to see you, too.

Lucky: Yeah. There's just so many things to say. I keep having these waves of memories, you know, these flashes of me and Elizabeth together with real live actual feelings attached, you know?

Laura: Oh, Lucky, I can't tell you how happy that makes me.

Lucky: Yeah. And for the record, I like it when you're my mother.

Laura: Me, too. I love you.

Lucky: I love you, too.

[Door opens and closes]

Monica: Well, so much was going on the last time you were at the house, I didn't really get a chance to talk to you.

Janine: So you thought you'd make up for that now?

Monica: Well, let's just put it this way -- no hard feelings, all good memories, a check for $100,000. Now, how does that sound?

Skye: Hold it right there.

Jax: Listen, I blamed you for a lot of stuff it appears Stavros did, so for that, I wanted to apologize. I'm sorry.

Stefan: Apology accepted.

Kristina: Enough brooding guy stuff. Come on, back inside. Now. I command you.

[Rock music plays]

Gia: Are you sure she's related to you?

Nikolas: Hey, I am extremely musically inclined. I mean, you know --

Gia: No, it's more than that. I mean, Kristina’s happy, she's up, and, well, she obviously has a sense of humor. She just seems completely normal, and doesn't fit the Cassadine profile.

Taggert: Ahem. I found the --

Gia: Oh, thank God. You're the best.

Taggert: You first.

Gia: Hey! Ow.

Taggert: You and I -- we're going to have to have a talk about my sister, Mr. Cassadine, real soon.

Nikolas: I'm ready when you are, Taggert.

Alexis: Everyone, could I have your attention, just for a minute? Thanks.

[Music stops]

Alexis: I just wanted to propose a toast. To some very heroic people, a few of whom I have the very good fortune of being related to, and to some others who never gave up hope. I wouldn't be here without you. So -- to a new era of Cassadines, to a good and loving people, and to light and to hope. May the curse of darkness that has shadowed us for so long be lifted forever.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Janine: I will not! It's mine!

Skye: No, you don't!

Stefan: There is the matter of the Cassadine assets you siphoned off?

Luke: There's something I want to hear you say.

Scott: If I have to go up against your brother to win, I will.

Sonny: I take a step forward, you take a step back.
