Carly: I saw Jax leaving her house this morning.

Sonny: Yeah.

Carly: So I was curious -- is she sleeping with you or Jax?

Alexis: No one needs to know that you're here right now. You need to stay put.

Kristina: Is that an order?

Melissa: Luke called. He thought I was Bobbie.

Roy: He seemed okay?

Melissa: It was hard to tell.

Stefan: Help me.

Laura: Maybe we can help each other.

Roy: Hey -- oh, what the hell are you doing here?

Melissa: What are you talking about? Three guesses what I'm doing here.

Roy: I told you this was dangerous.

Melissa: I know. I know. I had no intention of coming until you told me that, and then I thought, well, what if you need backup?

Roy: Well, I don't need backup. Thanks.

Melissa: What if Luke is sick? What if he needs a nurse?

Roy: Luke's not here. I canvassed the field outside. He's not there, either.

Melissa: I know. You covered every inch of the ground.

Roy: How'd you know how to get here, anyway?

Melissa: I followed you. And you know something? That light that you ran at Third --

Roy: Don't start with how I drive. You've pulled a lot of hair-raising stunts yourself behind the wheel of a --

Melissa: Right.

Roy: Car.

Melissa: Look at that.

Melissa: Okay. That's creepy.

Roy: There's dirt on it, and it's fresh. It can't have been here long.

Melissa: Do you think Luke drew it?

Roy: If Bobbie was right about Luke's message, he wanted us to find something here. This is all I can see to find.

Melissa: Roy, that looks like a coffin. Is that supposed to be Luke in it?

Roy: Well, I don't know. We've got to figure out what it means.

Helena: That D.N.A. sample that Stefan so stupidly gave to Mac Scorpio could cause someone to realize that you are alive.

Stavros: Mother, those forensic scientists' understanding of D.N.A. is infantile. We can easily manipulate it.

Helena: We wouldn't need to manipulate anything if you had done away with your brother as promised and not put our entire schedule at risk by strangling that empty-headed little --

Stavros: Shh, Shh, Shh, Shh. Do not say anything derogatory about Chloe Morgan. She was the first to discover Lucien Cain's true identity.

Helena: Well, and you must stop roaming the streets of Port Charles as Lucien Cain. You're jeopardizing everything.

Stavros: Mother, that's when it's fun.

Helena: Oh. You're not going to find this so amusing if you continue to let people see you. Now, what if the newspaper were to run a photo of you?

Stavros: Yes, yes, yes. And what if Tony Jones were to talk? Or Lucky Spencer? Now, as for the D.N.A., the match will be so close that the experts will justify the discrepancies. People make numbers lie. Now, what I want to do now is drink a toast to my brother on the occasion of his arrest.

Stefan: Tell me what I can do to help.

Laura: It's about Nikolas and Lucky. There have been some things that I have found out that lead me to believe that Helena is --

Stefan: If -- if this is about going after Helena, I'll do it. She killed Chloe and she's turned Nikolas. Now, even if I have to sacrifice my life, I have no problem with that.

Alexis: Thank you.

Stefan: Well?

Alexis: Hi, Laura.

Laura: Hi.

Alexis: If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to speak to Stefan alone.

Stefan: Regarding what?

Alexis: Maybe we ought to wait till we're alone to discuss this.

Stefan: If this is about the D.N.A. test, Laura knows what the test said. I don't care who hears.

Alexis: The last time you didn't care, you voluntarily agreed to have your D.N.A. tested. Do you still think that was a good idea?

Stefan: Helena obviously paid someone off.

Alexis: Why don't we discuss this further in private?

Stefan: Why? So we can figure out a new legal strategy? Here's one for you. I didn't do it. My D.N.A. cannot match what they found, which means Helena either paid someone off to switch those tests or the police switched them or whoever ran the tests falsified them. I don't know. I can't figure it out from in here. That's your job. You're the expert at getting murderers off.

Carly: So, either you didn't realize that Angel was throwing herself at my husband or you do know and the two of you are up to something.

Jax: Well, you're going to have to guess which one, won't you? Martini?

Carly: Shaken, not stirred. Mustn't bruise the gin. Right, mate? Look, Jax, I know that you loathe me, and the feeling is mutual, but we do have something in common --

Jax: Now, Carly, let's take a little shortcut here, shall we? It's obvious that you want to say something, so why don't you just go ahead and say it?

Angel: What Carly said is true. Jax and I had a relationship. In Europe.

Sonny: How do you know him?

Angel: We met in the course of business. It involved business.

Sonny: What kind of business?

Angel: If I tell you, then I'll feel free to ask you about your business. Is that what you want?

Sonny: I've known all along something was missing. Why you helped me at the cemetery, to your place, did everything you did, all the while telling me it was out of the goodness of your heart -- I knew there was something else.

Angel: You're reading way too much into this.

Sonny: I kept looking at your father. In fact, you never told me you were Sorel's daughter. But, you know, it's just -- it's starting now to make sense. Jax hates me. He blames me. So, what was the plan? No, no.

Angel: Get your hands off of me.

Carly: So Angel played Florence Nightingale to Sonny out at her lake house, which is more remote than Siberia. But, then, you would know how hard it is to find the road to that place.

Jax: Sounds like you've become very familiar with it.

Carly: Look, Angel and I, we have butted heads a few times. I mean, the first time I laid eyes on her, I ran into her in a parking garage -- literally.

Jax: What, you started driving?

Carly: Not exactly. Look, at first I didn't think much about it, of course. But when you look at the big picture, it sort of makes you wonder.

Jax: I assume this is where I ask about the big picture.

Carly: Look -- you may not like me, Jax, but we do have one thing in common -- both of us would do anything for the people that we love. And hell, yes, I have gotten to know the road out to her lake house. Angel is Joseph Sorel's daughter. Sonny's enemy, her father, stabbed Sonny in the back, and she nursed him back to health? Don't you find it a little suspicious?

Jax: I'm surprised Sonny trusted her.

Carly: You know what? I'm not convinced that he did.

Jax: Oh.

Carly: Sonny was angry with me for something, and he used the lake house as a way to drive home that point. Look, you only go to that much trouble for someone you care about very deeply.

Jax: Okay. Let me get this straight. Sonny was in hiding because -- because he loves you?

Carly: Look, don't tell me that you have never -- never run from love, the kind that is real, the kind that you would fight to the death for. Look, Sonny has something -- I don't know -- it's irresistible to most women.

Jax: Oh.

Carly: Alexis Davis and Angel. Okay. So they spent a little time together, and she couldn't help but respond. Look, I know that you might find it hard to -- to understand, but -- oh, maybe you wouldn't. Because you have seen how that works with Sonny and Brenda.

Angel: Hey -- my relationship with Jax is my business. It's strictly between Jax and me.

Sonny: Is it? That's what I'm trying to get at.

Angel: For you to insinuate that we are somehow conspiring against you not only proves that you're the most paranoid man that I have ever met, but you're also the most self-centered and egotistical. Okay, this may come as a shock, but not everything that happens is about you. I can see how Carly would make you feel that way, but I am not Carly. I don't have to tell you what I did yesterday, last month, last year, or ever. And if you don't like that, well, why don't you just make me out a list of everything you've done your entire life and I'll take a look at it and see if I want to participate.

Sonny: I've known you how long? You've never mentioned Jax. I find that a little strange. So I'm trying to put everything together. It's only natural, right? What?

Angel: Okay. Okay, Sonny, fine. We're asking questions. Tell me about Lily. Pull together for me how you married her while you were still involved with Brenda. Hmm. You want to get into past relationships? Lead the way.

Sonny: It's not your concern!

Angel: Exactly my point!

Alexis: Will you please think before you speak.

Laura: Look, I'll wait outside.

Alexis: Thank you.

Stefan: How is an innocent man supposed to act? Tell me. Am I supposed to calmly accept that I'm being railroaded? Do I stand by and watch while the police pat themselves on the back? Tell me, Alexis. Because, honestly, I am upset. I am not thinking straight.

Alexis: I will go over the chain of evidence with a microscope. If there are any irregularities, any discrepancies, I will find them. You need to be smart. Please? I understand that Chloe's the victim here, and you and I haven't even had a chance to really deal with that. But honestly, Stefan, this isn't the time. Officer? Remember who you are. Thank you.

Stefan: You do believe me?

Laura: Yes, I do. It's always been Helena, hasn't it? I'm so sorry.

Laura: I want to believe that you're the same man who protected me from Stavros all those years ago and the one who watched over my son. But there is another side to you now.

Stefan: I can tell you one true thing about myself. I would do anything to see Chloe Morgan walk through that door right now. And I will bring to justice the person who took her.

Laura: And you believe that it was Helena?

Stefan: Yes. Do you?

Laura: Yes, I do. Remember I told you that Helena was playing mind games with me?

Stefan: Yes.

Laura: She left that rose out on my front porch with the engagement ring from Stavros tucked in it, and a photo of Stavros was inside the house.

Stefan: Hmm.

Laura: I'm -- obviously it's working, what she's doing, because I saw Stavros.

Stefan: Where?

Laura: Outside my window. I know it sounds crazy. I know it does.

Stefan: Maybe not as crazy as you think.

Melissa: If Luke drew this, maybe he's feeling the effects of something that Helena gave him or --

[Footsteps]

Roy: Right here, right here.

Roy: Hold it right -- oh.

Melissa: Oh.

Roy: Lucky, I'm sorry.

Melissa: Lucky.

Lucky: What are you guys doing here?

Roy: We're just -- we're looking for your father. We thought he might have been here.

Lucky: Yeah? Well, you're wasting your time.

Roy: Why'd you come here? You looking for the strongbox?

Lucky: What strongbox?

Roy: The one your dad taught you to hide here filled with supplies in case you need to make a fast escape. Is that -- is that why you came here? You trying to escape something?

Melissa: Lucky, is somebody after you? Because we're just here to help, and I think you need help.

Roy: Tell us what's going on, man.

Carly: Does any of this sound familiar? You, Sonny, mob boss' daughter, Sonny torn between his wife and another woman who you happen to be involved with? Oh, well, some of the details are different -- yeah, who's married to who and the names. Angel instead of Lily and me instead of Brenda.

Jax: Careful, Mrs. Corinthos. You're about to take this too far. If there's a point, I suggest you get to it before you lose me.

Carly: Sonny is trying to find a way to deal with loving me and the things that go on in his life, and meanwhile Angel is doing everything she can to work him. But in the end, Sonny will be with me, and that means Angel is headed for heartbreak. And you know how that ended last time.

Jax: You know, much has changed in the last year, but not you. You were sitting alone at this bar last time I left. You're still sitting here alone.

Sonny: There's no comparison. This has nothing to do with what happened between me and my first wife. You're missing the whole point, see? That's the problem here.

Angel: No, it's exactly the point. Who I've slept with and what I've done before I met you -- or after, for that matter -- is none of your business. I had an affair with Jax. So what? I make my own choices for my own reasons, and I don't have to justify any of them, especially to you. You and I are not involved, Sonny. We're not anything. I've never even kissed you. Unless you want to change that right now.

Roy: Lucky, come on, man. You got to help us out here.

Lucky: No, Roy. Enough people have already been hurt.

Roy: We're not going to hurt anybody. Nobody's going to get hurt. I just need some information on your dad, that's all.

Lucky: My dad's gone.

Roy: No, he's not. Look, let me show you this. See this? See, he -- he drew this for us. He's trying to give us some kind of message. Now, what does -- what does that mean? Do you know what that is? It's like a -- it's like a -- a box thing with a person in it.

Lucky: No. I don't know what that is. My dad wouldn't do anything like that.

Roy: No, he was here. It was your dad. He -- he called. He spoke to Melissa at the hospital.

Melissa: Well, he was speaking in riddles, but he definitely wanted us to come here, and then this is what we found.

Roy: Because he wanted us to find it. See, he's trying to give us a message here. Now, I -- do you know what it is? You know, right?

Lucky: It's too late. It's too late.

Roy: What do you mean, "It’s too late"?

Lucky: Give it up.

Roy: I'm not going to give it up. Luke is my best friend and he's in trouble. Lucky, I know you know somewhere in your head what that means.

Melissa: Roy, Roy, just take it easy.

Roy: Now, tell me what the hell it is!

Lucky: You want to know what that means?

Roy: Yes! Tell me what it is!

Lucky: That's the monster! That's the monster, Roy!

Max: This place is off-limits.

Jax: Who the hell are you?

Max: Turn around and go back where you came from.

Jax: Kristina? Angel?

Max: I said turn around --

Jax: Hey, hey, hey -- whoa.

Kristina: Hey, Max? Max, it's okay. He's a friend of mine and Angel's. It's okay.

Jax: See? I'm a friend. Who the hell is that guy and what the hell is he doing here?

Kristina: Alexis arranged for him to keep an eye out on me.

Jax: Where's Angel?

Kristina: I guess she went into town to straighten out a misunderstanding with someone. This woman stopped by claiming she was a friend of hers, a close friend, which apparently wasn't true. But she showed me a picture of you and tried to get information out of me.

Jax: Let me guess -- Carly Corinthos?

Kristina: Well, I didn't tell her nearly as much as I could have. But I did tell her that you and Angel are close. Is that a big problem?

Jax: No, no, that's -- that's fine. Are you going to be okay here?

Kristina: I'm fine.

Jax: Because there's somewhere I have to be. Listen -- don't go anywhere without him, okay?

Kristina: Aye-aye, Captain.

Sonny: How you doing?

Angel: On second thought, I don't want to kiss you.

Sonny: Look, see, you're making this personal. That's why I have to protect myself.

Angel: I'm not the one who betrayed you. Carly did. If you don't want a relationship with me, if you want to go back to your wife -- one of the worst people I've ever met -- then just go. But you don't have to turn me into a liar and a schemer to do it. You may live in a paranoid world where people are out to get you all the time, but I'm not one of them.

Sonny: Okay, you know something? The only reason you're here talking to me is because you saved my life and I think that maybe I might owe you. But if you line up a group of people that want me dead, Jax would be at the front of the line.

Angel: Yeah, I got that at the funeral. You know what? Never mind. It doesn't matter.

Sonny: Wait, wait. Was this what you were trying to tell me with the cops the other day?

Angel: Maybe. Or maybe I was just out to get you.

Roy: Okay, that's the monster. Okay, good, that's the monster. What does that mean? What is that? Who is that? Give me a name. Give me a place. Give me something I can use.

Melissa: Roy --

Roy: You understand? We're talking about your father's life.

Melissa: Roy --

Roy: Your father's life is at stake here!

Melissa: Easy here.

Lucky: Why don't you leave me alone!

[Squeaking]

Melissa: Hey -- we're worried, okay? Roy is just worried, that's it. I must be really worried to be standing in this cave, whatever that is that's squeaking over there. I know you love your dad. I know that. We hadn't heard from him in a long time, and then all of a sudden he called. But we still feel scared. I know that you say that he's gone, but at least we know he's still alive. And then it just started to occur to me that maybe you didn't come here for the strongbox, Lucky. Maybe you came here because -- because you thought your dad would be here.

Lucky: He told me to wait here one time. I waited four days. We were in some bad trouble. He snuck me through the back door, and I waited here for an hour. And he told him if he didn't come here that I was supposed to --

Melissa: You were supposed to what?

Lucky: I was supposed to find somebody who was safe.

Melissa: And who was that? Who -- who was safe?

Lucky: I don't know. I just always thought my dad would get here.

Roy: He did get here. He got here, and he's trying to tell us something. Your mother said that you might have done something to hurt him. Now, if that's true, I know you didn't do it because you wanted to.

Melissa: Lucky, maybe you can't fix that, but you can fix something else.

Lucky: I tried.

***********************************************

Stefan: It was Stavros' voice. I'm almost positive. Alexis said that I must have imagined it or dreamed it, but the model ship was there -- the replica of the one we had when we were children. It was broken exactly the same way that Stavros had smashed it. And then Gia Campbell arrives at Wyndemere wearing this brooch.

Laura: Gia?

Stefan: She said it was a gift from someone, someone other than Nikolas. But this brooch was a Cassadine family heirloom. It was even marked with a symbol that Stavros had chosen for the island.

Laura: Did -- did she say who gave it to her?

Stefan: No, it was someone who was interested in dating her. And then Chloe told me about a stranger recently who said that he had been in business with our family in the past. He said that his company name was Karikos. Now, "Karikos" was Stavros' nickname for me when we were children. I doubt even my mother remembers that. I -- I felt so haunted, I even went to confession, and the priest reminded me of my brother.

Laura: Look, it -- it's got to be Helena orchestrating all of this. I mean, she wants us to be thinking about Stavros. But why?

Stefan: I don't know. For revenge, to drive us crazy.

Laura: Maybe she's just gone completely over the edge. I do know that there is a laboratory involved, and I know that she's doing some kind of mind control experiments there -- and God only knows what else.

Stefan: Experiments in mind control would explain Nikolas' sudden allegiance to Helena. As soon as I'm released from here, I will find whatever it is we need to know. Laura, I didn't kill Chloe.

Laura: I know. Just -- listen to Alexis, all right? You do have to be careful what you say. You can make your situation worse.

Stefan: How long has Luke been missing?

Laura: Weeks.

Stefan: I meant what I said.

Guard: Make it quick.

Stefan: As soon as I get out of here.

Alexis: I will. Thank you. Laura, I'm afraid I'm going to have to talk to him in private again.

Laura: Okay.

Alexis: Thank you. I'm afraid that you're not getting out of here anytime soon.

Stefan: Why not? What happened?

[Knock on door]

Sonny: Come in.

[Zander coughs]

Zander: Hey, I have some questions about the shipment going to Costa Rica --

Sonny: Sit down.

Zander: No, I'm fine.

[Zander coughs]

Sonny: No, you're not fine. Sit down before you fall down.

Zander: All right.

Sonny: It does me absolutely no good, Zander, to have you coughing your lungs out all over my floor.

[Zander coughs]

Sonny: I didn't even know you got out of the hospital. Why didn't -- why didn't somebody tell me when you started?

Zander: Maybe the foreman didn't think it was that important. I mean, I'm just a shipping clerk.

Sonny: No, no, no. You know what? I hired you personally. I need to know when you're here, when you're not, and what they're having you do. Let me see that manifest. Okay, you tell the foreman that the shipment is complete, give him the paperwork, and tell him to advance your wages two weeks. Go home. I don't want to see you here till next Wednesday.

[Zander coughs]

Zander: I told you, Sonny, I'm -- I'm fine.

Sonny: I don't appreciate being argued with, Zander.

Zander: And I don't appreciate being babysat like I'm some sort of little kid, okay? I told you I want to work for you, Sonny, and I'm not asking you to look out for me.

Sonny: Okay, then we have a problem here. I don't want to see you here again, Zander, until you're healthy. That way I can count on you instead of thinking that you could collapse at any minute.

Zander: Sonny, I don't want your charity.

Sonny: I respect that. Someone helps you, you want to pay them back. You don't have to like them or trust them. But you never want to be in their debt. You never want to owe anyone.

Zander: Right, I understand that, but I owe you.

Sonny: No.

Zander: Sonny, you got me out of jail. You saved my life.

Sonny: You saved Carly's life, so that makes us even. I'm not hiring you for charity. I think I can trust you. Right?

Zander: Yes.

Sonny: So do what you're told, take the money, and go home.

Zander: All right. Thanks.

Sonny: You are a valued employee. Looking out for you means looking out for myself.

Zander: I get that.

Sonny: I know you do.

Zander: Thanks.

Carly: All right, well, I will give you a kiss when I come in, okay? All right. Tell Leticia I say good night. I love you, too, Mr. Man. Bye.

Bartender: Would you like something to drink with these?

Carly: No, thank you.

Angel: Congratulations, Carly. You really ought to be proud of yourself, huh? Let me order you a drink. You had a big win today. Two glasses of champagne?

Carly: Oh. So you spoke to my husband?

Angel: Yes, I did.

Carly: I bet Sonny was angry. He hates secrets.

Angel: Oh, yeah. You did real good, Carly. Thank you. Well, here's to you, Carly.

Carly: Hmm.

Angel: Bitch.

Lucky: You know, you guys didn't need to follow me here.

Roy: No, this is cool, man. We're on to something, I think. Let's keep -- let's keep working. Where -- where is the next place Luke would go?

Lucky: It's too late.

Roy: If he were weak or wounded, he'd go someplace that he would think of as safe, right? Now, where would that be?

Lucky: No. I got to get away from here.

Melissa: Wait, Lucky -- you know, it's okay. We can help you.

Lucky: I don't need any help.

Melissa: What's the matter?

Lucky: I'm fine.

Melissa: Okay. I'm glad you're fine. I mean, am I the only one who got the creeps from that cave? You know? Didn't you hear whatever that was squawking and flapping above our heads?

Lucky: No, I didn't.

Melissa: No, you didn't? Well, I did. It was distinctly unnerving.

Lucky: Bats are harmless.

Melissa: Ha. Tell that to the bats. I need to wash up.

Lucky: There's a bathroom off the outside of the kitchen right there.

Melissa: Okay.

Lucky: I'm going to go upstairs and check on my Grandmother and Lulu.

Melissa: Something's the matter with Lucky.

Roy: Yeah, he's -- he's upset about Luke.

Melissa: I think it's more than that. I mean, he just goes off on to some other world at the very mention of his father's name. I mean, what is going on here with Lucky that I don't know about?

Alexis: There's no way that anyone could have tampered with the test or the D.N.A. samples.

Stefan: You're saying you think I'm guilty.

Alexis: I'm saying that the experts believe that it's your blood, your skin cells found under Chloe's nails. The only people who could have that close a D.N.A. match would be a full-blood relative.

Stefan: They already told me that doesn't include Helena.

Alexis: A full-blood relative. A full sibling.

Stefan: If you want me to engage another attorney, I will understand.

Alexis: No, no. Just -- just give me some time, and I'll -- I just need to think.

Stefan: Alexis, I didn't do this. I didn't kill her.

Alexis: I'll come up with something.

Alexis' voice: The only people who could have that close a match would be a full-blood relative.

Laura's voice: A photo of Stavros inside my house. I know it sounds crazy.

Stefan's voice: Maybe not as crazy as you think.

Laura's voice: I actually thought I saw Stavros outside my window.

Stefan's voice: "Karikos" was Stavros' nickname for me when we were children. I doubt even my mother remembers that.

Alexis' voice: A full sibling.

Stefan: Stavros.

Angel: Another bottle of champagne, please.

Bartender: I'm sorry, ma'am. I don't know if that's really wise.

Carly: No, make it your best vintage. I insist.

Angel: You think you're worth it, Carly?

Carly: Oh, well, I'm celebrating.

Angel: What, your gold medal for vindictiveness?

Carly: Well, you're certainly starting to show your true colors, aren't you, Angel -- or Bertha or whatever the hell your real name is. Bring it on.

Angel: Don't even try to mess with me.

Carly: Oh, I'm so scared.

Angel: You have no idea who you're up against.

Carly: You took the words right out of my mouth. You make a move towards me, and you will be sorry.

[Knock on door]

[Sonny sighs]

Sonny: Why am I not surprised?

Jax: Because your wife delivered your message, as you asked her to.

Sonny: I don't use women to do anything, Jax.

Jax: You just use them, period.

Sonny: Get to the point.

Jax: I'm here about Angel.

Sonny: Uh-huh.

Jax: I'll keep it simple. Leave her alone.

Stefan: I'm not insane. What I'm going to tell you will sound mad.
