Carly: No word about who?

Angel: Carly knows who I am.

Nikolas: I can take you to Lucky. I can go and disappear.

Elizabeth: Please, Lucky.

Nikolas: A guard so Lucky can't escape.

Stavros: Tell Stefan he's not good enough.

Chloe: You will never be good. I don't want you.

Jax: Hello, Angel.

Helena: I asked you a very simple question, Lucky. Did Nikolas bring you to this place?

Nikolas: So you're going to take a Spencer's word over mine, huh?

Helena: In this case, yes. Lucky never lies to me, do you, Lucky? Oh, I've so missed our little conversations.

Nikolas: Couldn't keep my grandmother waiting, Lucky. Tell her what really happened. For the last time, Lucky, did Nikolas kidnap you or not?

Stavros: Little Karikos. Worthless boy. If you have something I want, I'll take it or destroy it. I am the prince. I will have everything.

Jax: Whoa. You can't be leaving town. Excuse me, the forest.

Angel: Well, I was thinking about it.

Jax: Oh, so you're moving excuse me, Port Charles. Not that the wilderness doesn't agree with you.

Angel: It's only a few miles out.

Jax: But a long way from Maco.

Angel: I needed a change.

Jax: Well, there's change and then there's the wilderness.

Angel: Oh, this coming from the king of the outback?

Jax: I suppose room service is out of the question here.

Angel: It's peaceful here.

Jax: What about the casinos? Baccarat until dawn.

Angel: That life doesn't matter anymore.

Jax: What on earth do you wear to dinner?

Angel: I just don't see the point.

Jax: Not even a smile. Not even for me.

Angel: I have a lot on my mind, Jax.

Jax: Anyone I know?

Carly: What do you mean Angel can't hurt you?

Sonny: Don't get all upset about this.

Carly: Now, how can you be sure?

Sonny: It isn't your business.

Carly: Why not? Huh? Angel crashed into me in the parking lot. She used me to get to you. She showed up everywhere that I went. And then she tried to be my friend. If that is not a red flag, Sonny, then I don't know what is.

Sonny: I am working here. Don't get -- you just can't come in here any time you feel like it, Carly.

Carly: Why can't you see what is happening here? Angel made sure that I introduced you to her. She's probably some kind of a spy.

Sonny: Angel has nothing to do with you.

Carly: She is Sorel's daughter!

Sonny: I already knew that!

Jax: Well, that's how it always starts -- one drink leads to another drink and --

Angel: Oh, you are hopeless, you know that?

Jax: God knows I try.

Angel: I'm glad to see you.

Jax: In other words, where is my present?

Angel: Oh, you know that's not what I mean.

Jax: Well, old habits and all.

Angel: You know, I'm trying to swear off diamonds.

Jax: Yes. Aren't we all?

Angel: Sunrise on the beach in Biarritz.

Jax: You gave them to me.

Angel: Well, only because my dress didn't have any pockets.

Jax: Such an impractical dress, yet you wore it so brilliantly.

Angel: We had spent all night at the tables.

Jax: You seemed so practical at first.

Angel: Well, demands of the job, I guess.

Jax: The thrill of the chase and all that, yeah.

Angel: How is she?

Jax: Oh, she's good. Yeah, she's better. She's trying to decide what to do next.

Angel: And you?

Jax: Oh, you know. Who knows?

Angel: Hmm. Still hiding behind all that charm.

Jax: Oh, and this coming from a woman who lives in the forest.

Angel: Oh, it's a few trees.

Jax: Hundreds of miles from nowhere.

Angel: Maybe 10.

Jax: Alone. You know, Angel, whatever it is, you can tell me.

Sonny: I had Angel checked out. That shouldn't surprise you.

Carly: When?

Sonny: Doesn't matter.

Carly: Was it after I introduced you to her?

Sonny: Why do you ask me these things?

Carly: Why didn't you tell me who she was?

Sonny: I have work to do, Carly.

Carly: How long have you known about this, Sonny?

Sonny: It doesn't matter.

Carly: Yes, it does matter!

Sonny: Angel was not involved in her father's business.

Carly: Sonny, she is connected to him. They are family. Nothing can break that tie.

Sonny: You do not have to worry about Sorel anymore.

Carly: And then maybe everything I have done has been for nothing.

Sonny: What have you done, Carly? What have you done?

Carly: You know, the whole time that I was -- I was worried about you and trying to make you forgive me and prove to you my loyalty, I didn't realize the danger was staring me right in the face. I became friends with her, Sonny -- I started to. What if I let something slip? What if I gave her a way to hurt you?

Sonny: You didn't.

Carly: Sonny, why don't you think about this, okay? I -- hello?

Sonny: What?

Carly: I unplugged her father's respirator, and she didn't even so much as hit that call button. What is wrong with that?

Sonny: Well, you know, maybe she had a reason.

Carly: Yeah, she had a reason because it was part of the scam. What if she was trying to set me up for his murder just so I could hurt you?

Sonny: Doesn't make any sense.

Carly: Yes, it does because you would be so busy with me that Sorel's people -- they could come right in and they could take over!

Sonny: Wait, wait -- wait -- just -- you know, forget about that night. Forget about Angel. You go back to your hotel, and you don't talk to anybody about this.

Carly: No, I cannot forget about this. Not if she's trying to hurt you.

Sonny: See, it isn't like that.

Carly: Okay, then you tell me what it's like.

Stefan: Who's out there? Huh?

Alexis: No one. Why?

Stefan: No one? You didn't pass anyone in the hall?

Alexis: No. What's going on?

Stefan: Mrs. Lansbury?

Alexis: What's going on?

Stefan: Mrs. Lansbury?

Mrs. Lansbury: Yes, Sir?

Stefan: Have you allowed anyone in the house today? Anyone?

Mrs. Lansbury: Only Ms. Davis.

Stefan: Then how do you explain this?

Alexis: Calm down.

Stefan: How do you explain this? I was asleep in this room.

Mrs. Lansbury: Well, perhaps the new girl knocked it down.

Stefan: How long have you lived in this house? This ship wasn't even in this room.

Mrs. Lansbury: I have no idea, then, Sir.

Stefan: That will be all.

Alexis: Mrs. Lansbury, I am sorry. I have no idea why he would treat you that way.

Mrs. Lansbury: He's been under terrible strain.

Alexis: Well, you're a saint for putting up with him. Will you do us a favor and bring some tea in?

Mrs. Lansbury: Of course.

Alexis: Thanks. Why are you yelling at Mrs. Lansbury?

Stefan: Do you recognize this? Father brought a ship home to me just like this one when I was 7. I couldn't believe he gave it to me. I imagined myself on this ship, out on the open sea sailing far away from the island. Father and I would sail away, never to be seen again. How could I -- how can I show it to him? Why would I do a thing like that? How could I have been so stupid?

Alexis: I have no idea what you're talking --

Stefan: He knew it was my prized possession. Naturally, he wanted it.

Alexis: Who wanted what?

Stefan: I said no. He laughed in my face. He grabbed it out of my hands and smashed it to the floor and broke it exactly like that.

Alexis: Stavros.

Stefan: It feels like he's here, Alexis. I can feel his presence.

Gia: Lucien, hello.

Stavros: I am so sorry about last night.

Gia: Business is business. The gift helped.

Stavros: I still wish I'd made it to the auction.

Gia: You didn't miss much.

Stavros: With you as the center of attention? Somehow I doubt that.

Gia: Please. The last thing anyone needed was me as an auctioneer's assistant. Some ridiculously handsome man showed up and bought everything.

Stavros: Hmm. So you had most of your evening free.

Gia: Most of the evening was total chaos. Before the rich guy, Luke Spencer -- you don't know him, but he went completely nuts. He was yelling at Nikolas, accusing him of deceiving the Cassadines. And then Nikolas started yelling at his Uncle Stefan and -- it was a total disaster.

Stavros: Yes, the Cassadines are completely out of control.

Gia: Yeah. And to top it all off, Lucky Spencer has vanished again. He's my photographer and a really good friend and -- well, we all think psycho granny has him.

Stavros: Hmm. It sounds like you needed me last night.

Gia: More than you'll ever know.

Stavros: Well, perhaps this will help you feel better.

Gia: It's beautiful. Thank you.

Stavros: Hey, Gia, what's wrong?

Gia: I'll be fine.

Stavros: I'm sorry. If I'd known the gift would've upset you so much, I wouldn't have given it to you.

Gia: It reminds me of Nikolas.

Stavros: Why?

Gia: He -- he had perfect manners, and he was always so thoughtful and incredibly well brought up, and -- well, even though most of his family is certifiable, but --

Stavros: Manners can be deceiving.

Gia: I can see Nikolas giving me a present like this. I just couldn't see how much of a jerk he was.

Stavros: Well, next time you'll be wiser.

Gia: Why can't Nikolas be more like you?

Helena: Who brought you here?

Lucky: How would I know?

Helena: You're stalling, Lucky, and not very effectively.

Lucky: Effective? I'll give you effective. I got two goons who grabbed me, blindfolded me, and dragged me down here. And then who shows up?

Helena: Tell me, Lucky, who showed up, as you put it?

Lucky: My brother showed up. The mighty prince Cassadine.

Nikolas: Well, I'll do anything to keep you away from Elizabeth.

Lucky: Elizabeth doesn't love you, man. She loves me, and there's no Cassadine that will ever come between that.

Nikolas: Actually, tough guy, she wants you to leave her alone.

Lucky: I doubt it.

Nikolas: Well, that's exactly what she told me.

Lucky: Well, that's a lie!

Nikolas: You see, Grandmother? The guy is delusional, just like his drunken father!

Lucky: You leave my dad out of this.

Helena: I'm afraid that Luke seems quite ill. Now, we all can imagine the reason why.

Lucky: If you have done anything to my father --

Helena: Lucky, I don't appreciate idle threats.

Nikolas: You know, Grandmother, who cares what Lucky thinks anyway, especially about his father? My true concern is Elizabeth.

Lucky: Elizabeth will never love you.

Nikolas: Maybe not. But don't worry, she'll be in good hands. Come on, tough guy!

Lucky: What do you know about Elizabeth?

Nikolas: Come on!

Lucky: You know nothing about us!

Lucky: Stay away from Elizabeth!

Nikolas: Or what? You going to escape, Lucky? You go for it. You going to call your father? He won't even recognize you, he's gone so crazy!

Lucky: Elizabeth will find me.

Nikolas: I doubt that.

Lucky: Then we'll disappear.

Nikolas: I want Elizabeth. Why can't you get that through your thick skull, huh?

Lucky: You're just like your father, you know that?

Nikolas: Yeah, you only wish.

Lucky: Elizabeth will never love a Cassadine.

Nikolas: So? Did our mother love Luke when he raped her? Huh? Come on!

Helena: You do not want to hurt Nikolas. Do we understand each other? Lucky? Lucky? Do we understand each other?

Lucky: Sure. No problem.

Nikolas: Well -- I'm impressed.

Helena: Well, do you think I would allow Lucky Spencer to hurt you?

Nikolas: Well, Grandmother, that was a true test, and you passed with flying colors. Now you can tell me how the programming really works.

Helena: You put on a good show, Nikolas, but why should I trust you?

Nikolas: Don't expect me to ask you again.

Helena: You want me to make your brother forget that he ever loved Elizabeth. Elizabeth will become a stranger to him, if that's what you want.

Nikolas: Go ahead.

Helena: But remember, Nikolas, once their love is destroyed, it will be gone forever.

Gia: I don't even know why I'm thinking about Nikolas.

Stavros: Well, you cared about Nikolas a great deal.

Gia: Well, it's way past time to get over it.

Stavros: If that's what you really want.

Gia: You know, there was actually a moment last night when I thought I had a chance of getting back with him. I mean, what is that about?

Stavros: Nikolas Cassadine is such a fool.

Gia: No, he's cold and twisted like his father and that's all.

Stavros: Yes, well, the Cassadine heritage may be impossible to escape.

Gia: In that case, Nikolas will go completely insane.

Stavros: Don't say that.

Gia: Why not? Like father, like son. Besides, I'm completely done with the Cassadines.

Stavros: Don't be so sure.

Jax: Isn't love supposed to make you happy?

Angel: Who said anything about love?

Jax: Hey, you didn't have to. Okay.

Angel: Have you turned on the news today? Have you seen a paper?

Jax: No, just a few quick trades on the internet with my coffee.

Angel: My father died last night.

Jax: Oh, Angel. I'm so sorry.

Angel: Thank you.

Jax: What can I do?

Angel: Oh, the funeral -- there must be some kind of protocol.

Jax: Well, not to worry because protocol is my specialty.

Angel: But I'm not sure what it would be.

Jax: Just give me a few of the details and I'll take care of everything, okay?

Angel: My father was murdered.

Sonny: You need to stay away from Angel, from all of it.

Carly: I can't.

Sonny: Then do what you want, I'm busy.

Carly: If I had just known that Angel was Sorel's daughter, then I --

Sonny: What difference would it make, Carly?

Carly: I never would've even spoken to her or let her know how much I hated him.

Sonny: You have every reason to hate Sorel.

Carly: But Angel knows that I would do anything for you, even if that means trying to kill her father.

Sonny: Okay, see, now you need to go home, stop running around town, be quiet. Go to the island, spend some time with Michael.

Carly: Sonny, what's going on here?

Sonny: I not only had the woman checked out, I talked to her.

Carly: I remember that. You were talking to her outside Sorel's room --

Sonny: No, see -- no, you -- you don't -- you don't understand what's really going on here.

Carly: I do now.

Jax: So you're packing because your father was murdered?

Angel: I don't know what to do.

Jax: Are you afraid?

Angel: No.

Jax: Are you certain the killer won't come after you?

Angel: I'm positive.

Jax: Do you know what happened?

Angel: What always happens in that world -- my father did terrible things and now he's paying for them.

Jax: You have any idea who did it?

Angel: What difference does it make?

Jax: Look, the men in that world only know how to destroy. Women are objects to them, trophies. Wives, daughters -- doesn't matter. It's all the same -- women are meaningless. And love? Oh, yeah, they expect complete allegiance and with the perfect love. They just throw these women away and leave them. Is it safe to assume I'm not making you feel better at all?

Angel: No, actually you are, very much.

Jax: What happened, Angel?

Angel: My father was supposed to be on death row, but he got away. He took a woman hostage.

Jax: Yeah.

Angel: Anyway, he -- he ended up in the hospital, his respirator shut off -- not by accident.

Jax: And you're left with all the pain.

Angel: Well, my father died a long time ago in my heart.

Jax: Yeah, but you're still around to clean up the mess.

Angel: Well, either that or just let it go.

Jax: How can you let go when you don't know who killed him?

Angel: Don't you see, Jax? I hope they get away with it.

Carly: Everything makes sense to me now.

Sonny: Then I'll go ahead and go back to work.

Carly: Sonny, I understand why you had Angel checked out.

Sonny: I have everybody checked out, Carly.

Carly: Yeah, but convinced you to her, and she was trying to be my friend, so it concerned you.

Sonny: It would concern anybody in that situation.

Carly: Look, Sonny, you can tell me what is going on. There'll be no big scenes. I promise you.

Sonny: All right. You know -- you've paid too much for being close to me.

Carly: We both have.

Sonny: And we cannot get back what we lost, what you bargained away.

Carly: But you are still looking out for me.

Sonny: I'm a careful man.

Carly: No, you had Angel checked out because you were trying to protect me. Because she was hanging around too much. Because you still love me.

Nikolas: How long do you expect me to wait, Grandmother? Tell me how the programming works.

Helena: You want me to permanently destroy Lucky's love for Elizabeth?

Nikolas: Yes.

Helena: Then leave.

Nikolas: Grandmother, that was not our agreement.

Helena: Well, we're Cassadines, darling, or have you forgotten?

Nikolas: I kept my end of the bargain.

Helena: And that remains a serious concern.

Nikolas: Yet you would have no idea where Lucky is if it wasn't for me.

Helena: Do you want me to eliminate Lucky's love for Elizabeth or not?

Nikolas: You failed at it the last time. Why would I believe that you would follow through with it this time?

Helena: There is a much deeper level of programming that is taking over.

Nikolas: So you say.

Helena: I don't have to prove anything to you.

Nikolas: Look, I want t to put Lucky in his place, and taking Elizabeth is the quickest way to do that. And why not? I want her. But let me tell you something. I will have her either way. Now, you want to stay on my good side, you will make it easy.

Helena: Why, you don't think I can do it, do you?

Nikolas: And you know what? Don't bother me until you have.

Helena: Well, Lucky, here we are, alone at last.

Alexis: Thank you.

Mrs. Lansbury: Will there be anything else?

Alexis: I don't think so, Mrs. Lansbury. Thank you.

Stefan: Alexis -- um, I heard Stavros' voice in this room.

Stefan: Look, I know that it's impossible. He wasn't here. He couldn't have been here, but I heard a voice.

Alexis: What did he say?

Stefan: Karikos.

Alexis: That was the name he used to call you.

Stefan: "Worthless boy."

Alexis: Hmm. Anything else?

Stefan: Something to the effect of, "I'm the prince. I'll have it all."

Alexis: Stefan, whatever you think you heard, you know that Helena is behind it.

Stefan: But it was Stavros' voice.

Alexis: And you don't think that they can play tricks with tape recorders?

Stefan: Yes, yes, you're right, but I know what I heard. I know what I feel. I feel -- I feel him here. I feel his presence.

Alexis: When was the last time you slept?

Stefan: This is not about a lack of sleep! I feel him. I feel Stavros.

Alexis: Stefan, Stavros is dead. He's been dead for a long time. He can't hurt you anymore.

Stavros: Why should you leave?

Stavros: Calculate the lost wages.

Gia How did I lose money? He let me live in the cottage for free.

Stavros: He kept you going, yes.

Stavros: Now, while you were with him, didn't you receive offers to work as a model?

Gia: Now that I think about it, I had the chance to work in New York.

Stavros: You refused that work?

Gia: Because I wanted to stay with Nikolas.

Stavros: Okay. So you could be rich by now.

Gia: A supermodel.

Stavros: Gia, you turned down a very lucrative career for a young man who never really loved you. Now, why shouldn't the Cassadines pay for that? You have the chance to make them respect you.

Gia: By speaking the only language they understand?

Stavros: Money.

Gia: That's right.

Stavros: So who controls the money? Nikolas?

Gia: No, his uncle, stuffy Stefan.

Stavros: "Stuffy." I like that. So, go check the waters out. Go over there.

Gia: Nikolas would never forgive me.

Stavros: For what? Insisting that he respect you? Making them stop treating you like a second-class citizen? Gia, what do you have to lose?

Gia: You're right.

Stavros: Besides that fact, sometimes even the threat of a lawsuit can be very, very lucrative.

Gia: It's not the payoff, it's the principle.

Stavros: Yes. Gia Campbell will not be trifled with.

Gia: That's right.

Stavros: Will you do me the honor of wearing this?

Gia: Good idea.

Stavros: It can be a symbol of your courage, your newfound freedom, your new life. Hmm.

Gia: How will I ever thank you?

Stavros: Well, we'll find a way.

Helena: Now, Lucky, we need to discuss Elizabeth Webber.

Lucky: I love Elizabeth.

Helena: Well, you probably did once.

Lucky: No. I love her more than I ever have.

Helena: No, you're mistaken.

Lucky: No.

Helena: You're crazy.

Lucky: Elizabeth loves me

Helena: Well, that's what you believe for now.

Lucky: No, it's true.

Helena: It isn't true or untrue, Lucky. What you feel for Elizabeth is simply gone.

Lucky: I need Elizabeth.

Helena: That is an illusion.

Lucky: No, it's not.

Helena: Elizabeth is disappearing like a fog clearing off.

Lucky: No!

Helena: You don't need to be concerned with her. Soon, Elizabeth will be gone forever.

Lucky: Elizabeth would never leave me!

Helena: But you can let her go. No, Lucky -- now, Lucky, watch and listen. You can do this. One memory at a time. Now, name a memory.

Lucky: Sleeping under the docks.

Helena: Gone. Now, wasn't that easy?

Lucky: Yes.

Helena: Name another. I'm waiting. Fine. Name two.

Lucky: The night I climbed in her window and the time that I tried to kiss her and she ran away.

Helena: Gone. All of them.

Lucky: No. Please, don't do this to me.

Helena: Lucky, I'm trying to help you. Now, you will name memories until I tell you to stop. Once you say a memory, it will disappear, along with all associations. Now begin.

Lucky: Valentine's day. Dancing at Windermere. White roses. My guitar. The place in Greenwich Village. New York City. My portrait. Murals in the boxcar. Wyndham's. Sleeping on the floor. Candles. Fire.

Alexis: Listen, why don't you take the day off? You know, get out of this creepy room, go out into the garden, and for heaven's sakes, let the sun in.

Stefan: You're right.

Alexis: You can even break down and have a scone.

Stefan: Maybe later.

Alexis: Stefan, Helena has stolen so much from both of our lives. Don't give her one more minute.

Stefan: Why are you here? Is it Nikolas?

Gia: No, I came to see you.

Alexis: We were in the middle of something.

Gia: Like I care.

Alexis: Oh, dear, that's rude.

Stefan: Where the hell did you get that brooch?

Lucky: Everything -- everything's gone now.

Helena: How do you feel?

Lucky: I feel -- I feel better. Lighter.

Helena: Tell me what you've lost.

Lucky: Nothing.

Helena: Tell me about Elizabeth Webber.

Lucky: I've never met her before.

Helena: You never loved her, you never will.

Lucky: Yes. I have never met her, I've never loved her, and she doesn't mean anything to me.

Helena: She never existed.

Lucky: That's right.

Helena: Do we understand each other?

Lucky: Yes.

Helena: You won't remember any of this, Lucky, or even that I was here.

Lucky: I understand.

Elizabeth: Lucky? It's me. Elizabeth.

Jax: So how can I help?

Angel: You already have.

Jax: Will you promise to put away these silly boxes?

Angel: Yes, I promise. And I won't slip out in the middle of the night.

Jax: Well, at least not without calling first.

Angel: I just need some time alone, that's all.

Jax: Hey, I understand. Oh, it's worse than I thought.

Angel: Oh -- I learned a little bit about fishing this summer.

Jax: Now I'm really worried.

Angel: Oh, you'll be impressed.

Jax: Well, I'm looking forward to it. You'll call if you need anything.

Angel: Yes.

Jax: I'll be looking forward to that, too. See you.

Carly: Hey, maybe you will never forgive me. Maybe I'll have to learn to live with that. I don't know, but you still love me. And you always have and that's all that matters. It's not like I expect you to say it out loud. You know, you did tell me the first time through your attorney because you thought you were dying. But you are showing me now, so thank you. Sonny, thank you for having Angel checked out and keeping an eye on me. It is a start.

Sonny: I had Angel checked out for business.

Carly: Okay, I understand you have to say that.

Sonny: Well, it had nothing to do with you.

Carly: Okay, that's great.

Sonny: I'm tired of, you know, dealing with traitors and stuff.

Carly: Look, all I am saying is that we have a chance. Can we just leave it at that?

Sonny: When you introduced me to Angel --

Carly: Okay, that's fine.

Sonny: When I disappeared?

Carly: Look, I told you I wouldn't ask you about that. I'm not going to.

Sonny: Good, because that's what I'm going to tell you. Sorel stabbed me. Angel saved my life. She brought me to her house for a few weeks. And up until I showed up at the penthouse --

Carly: What?

Sonny: I was -- I was with Angel the whole time. Ahem.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Jax: You got a sec?

Gia: What is with the pin?

Stefan: Alexis, look at this.

Lucky: I don't want you.

Sorel: How are you doing?

Carly: You were with that sleazy piece of trash?

Sonny: Yeah.
