Luke: I wish things were different.

Felicia: Well, you answered my question.

Mac: I still want you back. Let me take you out to dinner.

Helena: The second step is in motion now.

Lucky: Elizabeth?

Carly: He can't know I had anything to do with this.

Roy: He would find out.

Carly: Not unless you told the FBI.

Carly: Sonny? Sonny? Look at me, Sonny.

Sonny: What are you doing here?

Carly: They let me down to see you. Roy arranged it. Sonny, can you breathe? Come on, in and out.

Sonny: I know -- I know how to breathe.

Carly: Sonny, it's not like Deke. You're not locked --

Sonny: Don't talk about Deke!

Carly: Sonny, I'm just trying to help you.

Sonny: Well, then, get out of here. You shouldn't be here.

Carly: No, Sonny, I'm not leaving you. I'm not leaving you in here because you can't even breathe. Guard!

Sonny: No, no, no, no! No.

Carly: Guard, we need help!

Guard: What's going on?

Carly: You have to get him out of here. He can't -- he can't --

Sonny: Enough! Carly, no!

[Music plays]

Laura: What on earth are you doing with me?

Laura: To what? Feed all the parking meters we pass?

Scott: We could do that, but I had some other things in mind.

Felicia: Something just happened to me.

Luke: Yeah, I know. I got the whole hospital bugged. Mac wants you back. He asked you to go to dinner with him.

Felicia: Yep.

Luke: So are you going on a date with your ex?

Felicia: Tell me not to go.

Lucky: Marry me, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Lucky --

Lucky: I'm not crazy. This isn't a spur-of-the-moment thing, and this is definitely not something that I'm going to change my mind about tomorrow. I have loved you for so long and so completely, it's hard for me to remember a time when we weren't together. You're my life and everything that's good in it. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I do know in my heart that we're meant to be. There is no one else in the world for me. There never will be, Elizabeth. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I need you. And I think that you feel the same way. Please, say yes.

Mac: Your discs have been deciphered, madam.

Helena: Oh, at last. My salvation and their destruction.

Elizabeth: Lucky, I don't know what to say.

Gia: What more do you want? The guy has just declared his undying love for you. Now, open your mouth and say yes. If you want to, that is.

Nikolas: Ok, I think they can take it from here, ok?

Lucky: How about some privacy?

Elizabeth: That's a great idea. Come on.

Luke: I'm not going to ask you not to have dinner with your ex.

Felicia: I'm not going to ask you to say what I want to hear.

Luke: It sounds like you'd like me to.

Felicia: Well, of course I would, but it's not going to work between us if we're looking for different things.

Luke: What are you looking for, Felicia?

Felicia: Honesty.

Luke: Felicia, I've been honest with you. I've never lied to you. I've never misled you. What I told you on the roof is the truth. I just don't think I can love you right now the way you want to be loved.

Felicia: All right.

Luke: Don't take it personally.

Felicia: Is there any other way to take it?

Luke: Well, look, the truth is, I don't know if I’ll ever be able to love anybody again.

Felicia: What's holding you back?

Luke: I told you - baggage from the past, priorities in the present. I wish it were different, but I'm not going to tell you what to do or who to see.

Felicia: I guess you can't do that, can you?

Luke: No. So, do you want to get back with your ex?

Felicia: Mac and I are connected in so many different levels, and you know how it is when you get married. Just because you have legal papers doesn't necessarily mean all those feelings go away because we've shared a life together. We have a bond together. We have an understanding, a faith, even. And I know that if I needed him, he'd be there for me. And if I wanted to talk to him and if I felt sad about something, he'd listen to me.

Luke: I understand, I guess.

Felicia: It's no different with you and Laura, right?

Luke: How did Laura get into this?

Laura: So you want to give me a hint?

Scott: No. No, no, I won’t.

Laura: Maybe I don't want to go.

Scott: Now, come on. Just get up and come with me.

Laura: I can’t. I really can't. I have to at least go over my memos. I wasn't here all day. I was at the hospital.

Scott: I know, but Lucas is doing better, right?

Laura: Yeah, he's stable, thank God, but it took a lot out of me.

Scott: Well, that must have been because you probably ran into Luke again.

Laura: Just tired, that's all. I -- why don't we just take a rain check, you know?

Scott: A rain check? Look, there's not a cloud in the sky. Now, come on out and play with me, will you? And if you're good, I might show you the big dipper.

Laura: Scotty?

Scott: Yes.

Laura: If I don't settle with the manufacturers, I could land in court.

Scott: No, you won’t.

Laura: Oh, really? Well, tell that to the manufacturers.

Scott: I already did.

Laura: What?

Scott: Oh, I had a little meeting with those guys. After this afternoon, they decided that they were getting the sweet end of the deal.

Laura: Are you kidding? You're amazing!

Scott: Yes. Yes, I am.

Laura: Wow. Well, that sort of clears my slate for the night.

Scott: Your slate is clear.

Laura: Ok. Talk about a cheap date.

Scott: Well, that's what I was thinking. We swing by the Luna Motel, we pump a couple of quarters in those beds that vibrate, you know?

Laura: Really?

Scott: Yeah.

Laura: I see, while I’m home curled up with a good book, you can just shake the night away over there in solitary bliss.

Scott: Oh, you're really no fun.

Laura: You're not going to tell me where we're going, are you?

Scott: No. I want you to live dangerously. Just live dangerously, just a bit, ok? Come on.

Laura: Ok.

Sonny: Everything's fine. Just can you escort my wife upstairs?

Guard: You're the prisoner, buddy. You don't give orders.

Sonny: She doesn't like to see me locked up in here. That's why she should go.

Carly: Yeah, I -- it's just hard for me to see him like this, but I’ m ok. Can we just have a minute? Can we be alone?

Guard: No more false alarms.

Sonny: Don't ever tell them anything about me. Is that clear? Never.

Carly: I didn't know the claustrophobia would be this bad.

Sonny: Do you mean, you didn't know the claustrophobia would -- how long do you think it would take the feds to use that against me if they knew? They'd lock me up in a padded cell and try to break me. You think I could take that, in a room with no air, no sound? I'd have a breakdown. I'd wind up in a closet if it wasn't for Deke. And every time the cops would bust me, they'd bust me for anything they can, even a parking ticket, just for the pleasure to watch me twitch. You never show weakness. Never!

Carly: But you couldn't breathe, Sonny.

Sonny: It's claustrophobia. It's not a gunshot wound. I can do this. I've been locked up before. I just -- I got to figure out a way to concentrate so I can get out of here.

Carly: A bout the deal with the FBI?

Sonny: The only thing the FBI's got against me is the bomber and who set me up.

Carly: Sonny, don't do this. Don't do this to yourself.

Sonny: What do you mean, don't do this? What do you mean, don't figure out who the hell did this to me?

Carly: Look --

Sonny: Don't try to get out of here?

Carly: Just let the lawyer deal with it.

Sonny: No, my lawyer will have me arraigned, and he will arrange for bail. He will have me released. But I -- I got to -- I got to find out who betrayed me.

Sonny: Who was it Carly? Who was in a position to know? And how does Roy fit in?

Carly:  Seems to want to help.

Sonny: He's a snitch! The only leverage he has with the FBI is because he turned me in.

Carly: But the deal was --

Sonny: It was not a -- it's a lie, Carly. Only desperate people believe. Witness protection does not work. If they want to find you bad enough, they will. And when they do, you're left alone with no way to defend yourself.

Carly: How can you be so sure? Have you even ever known anyone in witness protection?

Sonny: I found someone once!

Carly: Ok, so then we can go somewhere else. We can disappear some other way. Roy said that you have the offshore funds.

Sonny: Do you assume -- why do you assume --

Carly: What?

Sonny: That I ’m not going to beat the charges?

Carly: They caught you with the bomber. They said that you had him tied up to a chair.

Sonny: It was a set-up. A set-up. My lawyer proved that. That's even if it goes to trial.

Carly: What if they lock you up in here and you go crazy? And what happens to Michael and me then? Sonny, everybody makes mistakes. Even you. Maybe it's time to accept help.

Sonny: From whom? Roy? The feds? They're playing me Carly, and they're using you to do it.

Carly: I have nothing to do with this, Sonny. I am just trying to keep my family together and my husband alive. Look, Roy said that you could be out of here as early as tomorrow, so why don't you and I just concentrate on that, ok?

Sonny: There’s     no way the feds would have known.

Carly: Maybe they followed you.

Sonny: I'd have known.

Carly: They're experienced. They could have done this without you even --

Sonny: My people are trained to spot a tail.

Carly: You don't think Roy could have had --

Sonny: Roy brokered the deal. That was it.

Carly: You sound so sure.

Sonny: Roy was in no position to set me up. This was somebody close to me, somebody close enough to know my every move.

Gia: Can you believe it? I mean, the guy just dropped down on to one knee in front of all those people. I mean, he didn't even care who was watching. It was -- it was so sweet. It was like Lucky and Elizabeth were the only two people in the world. I thought that stuff only happened in old movies.

Nikolas: My timing was off.

Gia: Well, I guess he was a little weird at the arcade when he was talking about shooting monsters instead of talking about them. What do you think he meant by that?

Nikolas: My family. Stefan still thinks that Lucky is a prime target for Helena.

Gia: Still? What, did she go after Lucky before?

Nikolas: Yeah, with a vengeance.

Gia: Oh? What would she do to him?

Nikolas: I don't think you want to know. Let's just say that if Helena is going after Lucky, he's in deep trouble.

Gia: Shouldn't you warn him?

Nikolas: Well, you know, deep down, I think he already knows.

Elizabeth: These lights look like sparkling little stars.

Lucky: I should have asked you to marry me here. It's a lot more romantic than the arcade.

Elizabeth: No, no, nothing could be more romantic than what you just did.

Lucky: What's your answer?

Elizabeth: I wish I had a little time to think about it.

Lucky: I don't want you worrying about the nuts and the bolts, like how we're going to support ourselves, where we're going to live, how our families are going to react. We'll work all that out as we go. As long as we're together, we'll be happy, Elizabeth. Our love can carry us through everything.

Elizabeth: I know.

Lucky: Then what?

Elizabeth: Why now? Why are you suddenly in such a rush to get married?

Lucky: This is nothing new, Elizabeth. I've been wanting to marry you ever since the first time we made vows in that church. I want to make it real this time.

Elizabeth: Lucky, it sounds wonderful, but you almost seem desperate to make this happen, and you don't need to be.

Lucky: Yeah, but I want to make sure that nothing can tear us apart.

Elizabeth: Nothing will. You're not going to lose me.

Lucky: If I did, I'd lose myself. I'd lose everything.

Gia: So what do you think Helena ’s planning? Nikolas: Don't know, but I'm going to find out.

Gia: And then?

Nikolas: She'll have to get past me first.

Gia: Well, if you're involved, then I ’m involved, too. You're stuck with me, Nikolas. So if your grandma wants to start threatening you or Lucky or anyone else that you care about, believe me, she's met her match. What?

Nikolas: I -- I love you.

Laura: Oh. I haven't done this in years.

Scott: I can see that.

Laura: Well, you're not helping.

Scott: Well, I would, but, you know, you tend not to want to listen to me.

Laura: That's not true. I always listen to you.

Scott: Then, your first trick is you got to -- see, you got to put your body into it.

Laura: Really?

Scott: Yes.

Laura: Ok. Ok, Mr. Know-it-all. You can just show me.

Scott: All right, well, let me say that you've got to get this energy --

Laura: Uh-huh.

Scott: Down in your feet, and you've got to bring that energy all the way up into your body and let it come out into your arms and then into your hands, and then you get your hands here --

Laura: Mm-hmm.

Scott: And then you just pull it.

Laura: Ok. Yeah. Oh! I got a score.

Scott: Yes, you did get a score. Now, let's try and get that score a little higher.

Laura: Ok, let's go.

Scott: All right. Ok. Now, just remember, the big trick is you can't let the ball go south on you.

Laura: How?

Scott: Well, you got to maneuver it around. You got to let yourself go. Just let yourself go, and anything can happen. You know, maybe you got to cut a little corner here or you got to maybe push the machine a little bit, but you can't tilt it. And then just when you think that you can't save it, you do.

Laura: Yeah, like you think something's over, but it's not at all.

Scott: Exactly. So let's give it another shot, huh?

Laura: We are on. Let's go.

Scott: Ok. Now, ready? Now, we're going to -- everything I just taught you, all right. Now get ready to pull this. Ok, let it go, let it fly there, and here we go. See? Any second here, we're going to hear some bells clanging and some whistles going and everything's going to be fine.

Laura: Wow. Ah! I won! I won!

Scott: What did  I tell you? Anything can happen when you let yourself go.

Felicia: I happened to be passing by, and I saw you talking with Laura.

Luke: What did you hear?

Felicia: I overheard you ask her to help you with the disks.

Luke: You thought what?

Felicia: Well, I know I said that I couldn't help you, and I understand if --

Luke: Look, look, I'll take my help wherever I can get it. She's Lucky’s mother.

Felicia: I understand that.

Luke: You know, we made a pretty good team, she and I, once. She understands the Cassadine's almost as well as I do. Actually, she understands them better on a different level. And so when I ask for her help, it has nothing to do with any feelings that I may or may not have for my soon-to-be ex-wife. But I got to tell you, if you're thinking about going out with Mac because of me, I think that's just a terrible idea.

Felicia: It’s   a terrible idea, and it’s not very smart, is it?

Luke: No, it isn't, because it should have nothing to do with me.

Felicia: You and I don't have any kind of relationship, do we?

Luke: We do. As flawed as it may seem to you right now, we do. I think it's pretty spectacular. Being with you, making love to you, it's been fantastic.

Felicia: Well, I've noticed an occasional firework.

Luke: And I want to pursue that. I don't want to lose it. I truthfully can't promise or guarantee anything else. But what's life without risk?

Felicia: Yeah.

Luke: I'm not looking for a safe harbor, Felicia. Are you?

Sonny: It had    to be somebody watching me closely, waiting for an opportunity.

Carly: It could have been any one of your employees.

Sonny: Only somebody I trust. You know what I mean?

Taggert: Mr. Corinthos. Wow. I never thought I'd say this. It's a pleasure to see you.

Carly: What are you doing here?

Sonny: It's a good question.

Taggert: Face it, Sonny. They got you cornered. Take the deal the FBI is offering you.

Sonny: Meeting's over.

Taggert: You know, I've seen what the D.A.'s got on you. Yeah. Looks bad. So I hope you like this little cell you're in. You're spending the next 20 to 30 years in there. Although I hear the ones over at Pentonville are a little cozier, especially for mob bosses like yourself. You know, about a third of this one -- six foot by six foot, sound-proofed.

Carly: Shut -up, Taggert!.

Taggert: What, you don't like the picture? Huh? What about you, Sonny?

Sonny: Who set me up, Taggert?

Taggert: Obviously somebody who wants you out of the way. Your crimes are finally catching up with you, Sonny. You're going to prison.

Sonny: Wrong.

Taggert: Yeah, unless you take the deal. Tell us what you know, Sonny. Take the deal and take your family. Get out of town.

Carly: You know what? You got a hell of a lot of nerve coming down here and trying to scare Sonny into taking the FBI deal.

Taggert: You know, I would have thought you would have been all over this. Carly: Roy is an honorable man. He would never turn against the people around him.

Taggert: Those are the first people he turns on.

Carly: Sonny understands loyalty. Do you or any other crooked cops down at the PCPD even know what that means?

Taggert: I've said my piece. Sonny, you do what you want to do.

Carly: I bet you it was Taggert.

Sonny: What?

Carly: The person who set you up. I bet you anything he was the one.

Sonny: It couldn't have been Taggert. He couldn't have known about the meeting.

Carly: He could have tapped our phone, Sonny.

Sonny: (check this out, something is missing) .....   Who knew when the call came in? Only two of us. And you left the room. Who do you think it was, Carly? You were with me when I got the call. You must have some idea.

Sonny: Who did it, Carly? You were with me when I got the call. You must have some idea.

Carly: It must be someone that you didn't suspect.

Sonny: I agree.

Carly: It doesn't matter who set you up. If Taggert's right and the D.A. does have a case against you, then maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to take the deal with the feds. Why should you throw away your life to protect people that you don't even trust?

Sonny: I'd be -- I'd be handing over people I do trust who depend on me, who put their lives in my hands.

Carly: They'd get out of it somehow.

Sonny: How do you know that?

Carly: You're the one that the FBI wants. People under you, they're not going to get a sentence as long as you are. Why would you care? Why do you even care to protect your enemies?

Sonny: I don't want to discuss this anymore.

Carly: Look, Sonny, I know that normally, witness protection is not what you normally consider.

Sonny: That's right.

Carly: All I'm saying is that I’ll stand by you no matter what, whether you're in prison or you're living under some assumed name. I'll do anything for you, Sonny. There's nothing, nothing that I wouldn't do for you.

Laura: Ow.

Scott: There's a couple other things I’ d like to teach you.

Laura: I think one lesson is enough for tonight.

Scott: No, well, this really wouldn't be a lesson. This would be pleasurable for you.

Laura: Scotty.

Scott: Laura, listen, I want to tell you something. I -- I think about you all the time. You're always on my mind.

Laura: I think about you a lot, too, and all the memories that we have from the past.

Scott: Forget the past. The past is the -- is the past, you know?

Laura: Yeah. But it's always going to be a part of us.

Scott: I know that, but I think the future -- the future is going to be stronger. It's going to be better. It is. You were so, so pretty when you were young, and now you're even more beautiful. And I -- I just want to -- I just want to get to know you all over again.

Felicia: I'm not going out with Mac because I want a safe relationship.

Luke: Are you sure? Are you sure that safe isn't looking pretty good right now?

Felicia: No, I know myself too well. If I went out with him for that reason, it would only be a matter of time before we broke up again.

Luke: Do you have a better reason in mind?

Felicia: Yeah. I want a partnership with a man. I want my man to treat me like an equal.

Luke: Like I do.

Felicia: It's different with you. I've done some soul-searching since we had that talk on the roof, and I know what I want. I've been riding on the fringes of your life, and I have only allowed you to ride on the fringes of my life. And that's not enough. I know it is for some women, but for me, it makes me feel empty because I have more to give, and there's nobody to give it to. I would like to be able to enjoy a sunset or read a good book or share something cute about my children with my partner. That's just who I am. That's what I want. I want that commitment also with a man.

Luke: (***) fits the bill.

Felicia: Well, we've made it work before, but I don't know if we still can, and there's a lot of water under the bridge. And then there's my feelings for you. They always get in the way.

Luke: I won't pretend I’ m sorry about that.

Felicia: Me, either. All I know is that I would be cheating myself if I didn't pursue this with Mac. It's funny. I said to Mac exactly what you said to me -- that I couldn't make any promises or I couldn't guarantee that this would work. But Mac told me that he would try anyway.

Lucky: Come here. Don't you see? This is the chance that we've been waiting for.

Felicia: I haven't been waiting for anything. I'm happy right now.

Lucky: I know, and so am I. But this is a way that we could seal our love. We can be together. We never have to feel alone again. We'll always have each other. You see, this is an adventure that can last us our entire lives, and all we have to do is take that first step. I promise you I will never make you sorry. Please? Say yes.

Helena: Oh, poor misguided Lucky. Nothing, not even love, is a match for this.

Elizabeth: Yes. I've gone too far --

Gia: No. It's -- it's not that.

Nikolas: Then what?

Gia: It just -- it just makes me uncomfortable. I mean, love is so scary.

Nikolas: That's not such a bad thing, is it?

Gia: I've spent most of my life protecting myself, making sure that nothing could hurt me.

Nikolas: And you think I would?

Gia: Probably not. But why risk it?

Nikolas: I have no intentions of hurting you, Gia, ever. Ok? All right? I love you.

Laura: You are tempting me.

Scott: Yeah. But?

Laura: ***  different people now.

Scott: I think that's a good thing.

Laura: Yes, I guess that's true, but it's kind of a whole new game, and I don't really know how to play it.

Scott: Well, let's learn that game together.

Laura: I don't want to jump into anything. You know, if we got involved too quickly, we might find out that it wasn't what we both wanted.

Scott: That's not going to happen.

Laura: I've made so many mistakes, Scotty. I -- I don't want to make another one.

Scott: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, and wait. We are not a mistake.

Laura: I know I -- I just need to be sure, and I'm not yet.

Scott: Then you take all the time that you need because I'm not going anywhere.

Laura: Patience was never your strong suit.

Scott: Well, it is now when I really, really want something, and I really do want you. I can be very patient. But you got to promise me one thing.

Laura: What?

Scott: That you'll let me know when you're ready.

Laura: I promise.

Felicia: You understand why I need to try again with Mac?

Luke: Sure. But, you know, it doesn't really matter if I understand or not. He's your ex.

Felicia: You're entitled to your opinion.

Luke: opinion is you should do whatever's going to make you happy.

Felicia: I wouldn't trade one minute with you for anything.

Luke: God, neither would I.

Carly: I'm not leaving my husband.

Sonny: No, no, no. It's all right. I'll be fine.

Carly: I don't want to leave you alone.

Sonny: No, hey, you should go home to Michael. He needs you.

Carly: You sure?

Sonny: Yeah, yeah, I'm sure.

Carly: See you tomorrow, ok?

Carly: We're going to make this work, ok, somehow. Somehow I'll get you out of this.

Sonny: I know.

Carly: I love you.
