Sami: Would you stop bothering me, Kristen? I told you I have a plan.
Kristen: Well, I'll stop bothering you when I see results. See, last time I
checked, Chloe was still mooning after Brady.
Sami: I'm working on it.
Kristen: Well, work faster. [Sighs] Unless you want me to call EJ and tell him
that you're cheating on him with Lucas.
Sami: Hey, would you just cut it out with the threats, okay? I told you I have
this all figured out.
Kristen: What does that mean?
Sami: It means that I'm going to get Chloe out of the way because Lucas is going
to seduce her.
Lucas: The hell I am.
[Phone beeps]
[Dramatic music]
Brady: Hey, Susan.
Kristen as Susan: Hey, Brady.
Brady: Would you do me a favor--would you mind watching Rachel for a little
while?
Kristen as Susan: Oh, not at all! It's a pleasure watchin' that little bug.
[Chuckles] Ooh, uh, you're not gonna go in to work, are you?
Brady: No, no, actually. I've decided I'm going to work at home for a little
while. Things are still a little awkward. Chloe and me, still.
Kristen as Susan: That's just very thoughtful of you. So where is it that you're
gonna go?
Brady: [Sighs] Statesville prison.
Claire: Theo, you've been such a great friend to Ciara since you've been back.
Theo: Well, I've tried to be there for her. And, Claire, I'm so sorry that she
doesn't remember that you two worked things out.
Claire: Or that Ben is her husband.
Theo: It's amnesia.
Claire: Yeah, I know what it is. Look, maybe one way that you could help Ciara
would be to give her some room. I mean, instead of being there for her, give Ben
and her, who is her husband, a chance to find their way back to each other.
Theo: Look, I could be wrong, but...I don't think that's gonna happen.
Claire: Why not?
Theo: Because Ciara's leaving Salem.
Ben: What do you mean, you're leaving Salem?
Ciara: Exactly what I said. As soon as aunt Kayla gives me a clean bill of
health, I'm gone.
Ben: No, I don't understand. Where are you gonna go?
Ciara: Does it matter?
Ben: Of course, it matters, Ciara. What is this about, your mom? Did your
brother finally track her down?
Ciara: Not yet. And no, this isn't about my mom. This is about Theo.
Ben: Theo?
Ciara: Yeah. I'm leaving town with him.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the "Days of our Lives."
[Soft orchestration]
Kate: Hey, you.
Jake: Hey. Thanks for meeting me.
Kate: Well, I was surprised you left the office so early.
Jake: Yeah, well, you know, one of the best perks of being CEO? Longer lunches.
Kate: Mm-hmm. So martini with a twist?
Jake: Just how you like it.
Kate: You know, if I didn't know better, I would think that you're buttering me
up for something.
Jake: Hmm. I am. And turns out I have a bit of a confession.
Gabi: [Sighs] Oh, if this is what you have lined up for the fall line, we sure
as hell have nothing to worry about.
Chloe: Is there something I can help you with?
Gabi: As a matter of fact, there is. The Titan Warehouses you've been squatting
in? We're gonna need those back.
Chloe: We're renting those. We had an emergency a few months back and Philip
helped us out.
Gabi: Yeah, I am aware of that, but now that Gabi Chic is with Titan, well,
we're direct rivals. So I'm gonna have to terminate that lease.
Chloe: Mm, well, see, we don't actually have a lease. Philip was doing a favor
for me so if you want us to move our stock out, I'm gonna have to hear it from
him.
Gabi: Well, I'm here on Philip's behalf, so-- you know what? I don't even know
why I'm talking to you. Where is Brady?
Kristen as Susan: Uh... [Sighs] You're going to go to Statesville prison now?
Brady: Yeah, yeah. Is that a problem?
Kristen as Susan: Oh, no, no, no, I just thought that, um, Kristen asked you
stop visiting.
Brady: I'm not going to see Kristen; I'm going to see Vivian.
Kristen as Susan: Vivian Alamein? Why on earth would you want to do that?
Brady: She requested it. She said she had something important to tell me. Cell
phone repair.
Claire: You asked Ciara to leave town with you? Theo, this isn't right.
Theo: Why not?
Claire: Because you're taking her away from her husband.
Theo: I didn't come up with this idea, it was Ciara.
Claire: What, Ciara came up with it? Why?
Theo: Isn't it obvious? She doesn't want to stay in Salem with Ben. She wants to
be with me.
Ben: You're leaving... with Theo?
Ciara: Yes.
Ben: [Sighs]
Ciara: He's headed back to South Africa and I'm gonna go with him.
Ben: But all your friends and your family are here, Ciara.
Ciara: And all my friends and family have years of memories that I don't have.
They expect me to be this person that I don't remember being. I have to get out
of here, Ben. I need a fresh start.
Ben: And I get that you want a break. Why are you going with Theo?
Ciara: Because I like being around him. And he makes me feel safe. He is a
decent, kind man. He's never murdered a single soul.
Kate: So a confession? Not sure I like the sound of that. [Both chuckling]
Should I drink this after you tell me or do I need it for fortitude?
Jake: Hopefully, that's not necessary.
Kate: Okay, then say it.
Jake: All right. So the other day when you accused me of being upset when I
found out Gabi and Philip were on a date...
Kate: Yes, and you told me that you didn't say anything because we agreed not to
talk about them.
Jake: That's right. But I wasn't being honest.
Kate: Okay.
Jake: Truth is, seeing Gabi with your son, it bothered me.
Chloe: Brady's not here.
Gabi: Okay, well, when will he be in?
Chloe: He won't. He's working from home.
Gabi: Really? For how long?
Chloe: I don't know.
Gabi: Why are you being weird--what the hell is going on?
Chloe: Nothing.
Gabi: Are you sure?
Chloe: Yes, I am sure and even though Brady's working remotely, I promise you
he's still very much in charge, so I'll pass your message to him about the
warehouses, but I wouldn't count on us giving them up. Okay, bye-bye.
Gabi: We'll see about that.
[Groans]
[Soft tense music]
Kristen as Susan: Why would you want to visit Vivian Alamain, huh? She is
nuttier than a tea party full of hatters.
Brady: I'm aware of that, but that's why I have to hear her out.
Kristen as Susan: What do you think she wants?
Brady: I'm assuming it's about Kristen. I mean, the last time I was there, she
was concerned about her and it was Vivian that suggested that I stay away.
Kristen as Susan: Oh, well, I mean do you know what she wants now?
Brady: That's what I gotta go find out, So hey, listen, thank you for keeping an
eye on Rachel. I appreciate--
Kristen as Susan: Mm-mm-mm! I can't, I can't!
Brady: What?
Kristen as Susan: I can't. I can't watch Rachel.
Brady: Why not?
Kristen as Susan: I have, um, a--a doctor's appointment.
Brady: Right now? You just--
Kristen as Susan: Yeah.
Brady: You just said that you were able to babysit.
Kristen as Susan: Oh, uh, no. But I'm sure it just slipped my mind.
Brady: Slipped your mind? Okay, okay, I can call another sitter, though.
Kristen as Susan: No, no, that's absolutely not necessary.
Brady: Well, it is because I need to go. I have to go, so--
Kristen as Susan: Oh, no, no, no, this appointment's gonna be real fast. I'll be
back in two shakes and then I'll be happy to watch Rachel and then you can mosey
on over to Statesville, yeah.
Brady: Okay, okay, all right. I hope everything's all right.
Kristen as Susan: Oh, don't you worry about it, Brady Black. After this visit,
everything is gonna be peachy keen, yeah.
Brady: Okay.
Kristen as Susan: Yep.
[Suspenseful music]
Sami: Be quiet! Kristen might've heard you. I mean, what is the matter with you?
Lucas: What's the matter with you? You're pimping me out to my ex-wife.
Sami: I resent you calling it pimping.
Lucas: [Sighs] What do you call it?
Sami: Well, I call it stopping Kristen from exposing our one-night stand to her
brother who happens to be my husband.
Lucas: I call it pimping. And you know what, this is your problem, not mine.
Sami: [Scoffs] Excuse me? I remember two of us being in that bed.
Lucas: Yeah, but only one of us is married, so.
Sami: Okay, I realize this is not the ideal solution.
Lucas: It's not a solution at all.
Sami: But we talked about this, Lucas.
Lucas: We didn't talk about it, you steamrolled me like you always do just to
get what you want.
Sami: That's not fair.
Lucas: It's pretty fair and it's very accurate, isn't it?
Sami: Well.
Lucas: I'm not gonna let you mess up my life. You can't--you can't control my
life anymore.
Sami: Okay, hold on, hold on. This is not just your life we're talking about,
it's mine, too. And, look, you owe me.
Lucas: How do you figure I owe you?
Sami: Because I'm only in this mess because of you.
Lucas: [Sighs and groans]
Sami: Yeah. Does scrubbing grease and food feel like a workout?
Lucas: You know, as I recall, you seduced me.
Sami: Wait a second. You kissed me first.
Lucas: It's a long way from a kiss to sleeping together.
Sami: Okay, all right, fine. Whoever seduced who--
Lucas: Or whom. Whom.
Sami: Are you really gonna be the grammar police right now?
Lucas: Yep.
Sami: Lucas, seriously. You had a good time, okay? I'm pretty sure you enjoyed
yourself that night.
Lucas: I'm pretty sure you enjoyed yourself, too. Didn't you?
Sami: We both got what we needed that night, didn't we? Are you really gonna let
Kristen destroy my marriage because of that?
Lucas: Well, come on.
Sami: Well, what? Come on what?
Lucas: You said yourself things weren't going great between you and EJ anyway.
Sami: Okay. Look, I confided in you that I was having a rough time in my
marriage, but that doesn't mean that it's over. But it will be if EJ finds out
that I slept with you.
Lucas: Oh, yeah, that's a bad one, that's a big betrayal.
Sami: Okay, stop it. I'm serious right now. Please. You have a choice here. Are
you gonna let Kristen destroy my marriage or are you gonna help me save it?
[Door shuts]
Vivian: Ahh, there you are.
Kristen as Susan: Yes, here I am. And you don't seem the least bit surprised to
see me.
Vivian: Why would I be?
Kristen as Susan: Why would you be? [Chuckles] You knew damn well that I'd find
out that you asked Brady to come and see you. You... were gonna expose me,
weren't you?
Vivian: I was. And I will. Unless, of course, you convince me not to. Go ahead.
Honey, this is your one last chance.
Chloe: Hey.
Brady: Hi, is everything okay at Basic Black?
Chloe: Uh, yeah. Everything is fine. Um--[Sighs] No, actually, everything's not
fine.
Brady: What's going on?
Chloe: Well, Gabi stormed into the office and demanded that we give the Titan
Warehouses back.
Brady: [Chuckles] How nice. Okay, um, I'll talk to Philip about that, and, next
time, have Gabi call me personally, okay?
Chloe: Okay.
Brady: What?
Chloe: Okay, this is not just about the warehouses, it's--- it's about, you
know, this. You and I--you're-- you're not even coming into work anymore.
Brady: Chloe, it's just temporary.
Chloe: I'm sorry I can't help but feel that me confessing my feelings for you,
I've now ruined our friendship and maybe poisoned our professional one as well.
Brady: No, Chloe, Chloe.
Chloe: I'm serious, Brady. The future of Basic Black is at stake here and I
would never forgive myself if I did something to cost you your company.
Brady: What are you saying to me?
Chloe: I'm saying that I think I have to quit.
Claire: I'm sure Ciara told you she wants to be with you, but, Theo, she loves
Ben.
Theo: Does she?
Claire: Deep down, yes. You have no idea how strong their bond is. She is going
to remember and when that day comes... Theo, you're gonna get hurt.
Theo: Look, Claire, I know that you want Ciara to get her memories back and
maybe that will happen. But maybe it won't. So we're just gonna live in the now
and see where that takes us.
Claire: God, you're gonna "live in the now"? What?
Theo: And now I have to go start packing.
Claire: Wait, what? You're leaving already?
Theo: As soon as Ciara gets released from the hospital.
Claire: What's the hurry?
Theo: Claire, we're ready to get on with our lives. [Sighs] But I was glad to
get your call so that we could at least say goodbye in person.
Claire: But I don't want to say goodbye.
Theo: I understand. But I'd still appreciate a hug. If you're cool with it.
Claire: [Sighs] Of course. Hey, I'm really gonna miss you.
Theo: Likewise.
Claire: I hope you didn't think that I was trying to guilt you before.
Theo: Maybe just a little.
Claire: Maybe just a little. [Both chuckle] You know, it's only because I care
about you and... Theo, I think you're making a really big mistake.
Theo: Well, if I am, it's my mistake to make.
[Soft dramatic music]
Ben: So you're just gonna leave, go to South Africa, with Theo, because he makes
you feel safe?
Ciara: Yes. [Chuckles]
Ben: 'Cause you're friends, right?
Ciara: Oh, we're more than friends.
Ben: We're married, Ciara.
Ciara: No, I understand that technically, you and I--
Ben: No, no, no, not technically. You and I are married and you're telling me
you're gonna go jump into another relationship with your pal?
Ciara: Whoa, I'm not jumping.
Ben: Yes, you are. He just got to town.
Ciara: Listen, Theo and I have history, okay? We care about each other a lot.
Ben: So you're just gonna go ahead and be with him, though? That's your plan?
Ciara: No, we're gonna take our time, see where things go.
Ben: So you are not together?
Ciara: Not yet. But I am leaving town with him, Ben. And nothing you can say is
gonna change my mind.
Kate: Okay, are you telling me that you have feelings for Gabi, that this is
over, that you want to break up with me?
Jake: What? No. Why do you always go there?
Kate: Jake, I can handle the truth.
Jake: Okay, Kate, for the millionth time, I'm not breaking up with you. I'm just
being honest with you.
Kate: Well, then be honest.
Jake: I'm trying.
Kate: [Sighs] Okay. So you said that you saw Gabi and Philip on a date and it
bothered you.
Jake: Yes. And I didn't tell you because...
Kate: Because what? Because you thought that I'd be upset?
Jake: I didn't want to hurt you, Kate. But I'm aware that keeping things from
you is even more hurtful.
Kate: Well, you're right about that from my experience.
Jake: So yeah, when I did realize that Philip and Gabi were on a date
together... [Chuckles] I was jealous.
Vivian: So tell me, Kristen. Why shouldn't I tell Brady? You haven't kept up
your end of the deal.
Kristen: I told you. I have been busy. I have been fighting for my life out
there.
Vivian: Fighting for your life? Don't you think that's just a tad overdramatic?
Kristen: Chloe was moving in on Brady and I was on the verge of losing him. Can
you not relate? Have you never been in love?
Vivian: [Sighs] Na-na-na-na-na, you're boring me, you're boring me.
Kristen: Vivian, please. Please just give me a little more time to pay you back
for what you've done for me. I will, I swear. Especially now since the drastic
steps I took-- they seem to be working.
Lucas: Let's just go over this convoluted mess one more time, okay? I'm supposed
to seduce Chloe so she stays away from Brady so Kristen won't tell EJ that we
slept together?
Sami: Yes. It's actually very simple.
Lucas: No, it's not--it's confusing--but it's simple if you just think about
yourself.
Sami: Well, I'm also thinking about EJ.
Lucas: [Sighs] What about Chloe?
Sami: What about her?
Lucas: I don't want to screw up her life, okay?
Sami: I'm not asking you to marry her, Lucas. I'm just asking you to distract
her from Brady, okay?
Lucas: She likes Brady.
Sami: So?
Lucas: So it's none of my business who she wants to be with.
Sami: Well, I wish I could say the same thing, but Kristen is making it my
business.
Lucas: Kristen is a jealous lunatic.
Sami: I agree with you. I mean, 100%, of course she is. But she has me over a
barrel, Lucas. I have to help her.
Lucas: No matter who gets hurt in the process? Because Chloe is innocent.
Sami: All right, well, I mean, that's debatable, right? I mean, she is going
after a man who's spoken for. Brady's in a committed relationship with a woman
with whom he has a child. Listen, if you actually care about Chloe, you should
really want to seduce her.
Lucas: We're friends, okay?
Sami: And you'd be keeping your friend safe. Because as long as she's interested
in Brady, she has a big, old target on her back.
Lucas: What, you think Kristen's gonna kill her?
Brady: I don't want you to quit.
Chloe: Well, I don't know what else to do, you're not even comfortable coming
into your own office.
Brady: No, Chloe. The business is functioning fine with my working remotely.
Chloe: I don't think it is. I think it's affecting the way that people see us.
Brady: Is this about Gabi?
Chloe: It's your business. People need to see you there and see you in charge.
Brady: They know.
Chloe: I don't know if they do know that, and I did this. Things were fine and
then I made things all weird by admitting I had feelings for you.
Brady: Chloe, you were just being honest.
Chloe: Yeah, I was being honest, but I also honestly thought that I saw
something between us and the feeling was mutual. I'm sorry that I was wrong and
for misreading your signals.
Brady: You didn't.
Chloe: What?
Brady: [Sighs] You were right. I have feelings for you, too.
Ben: You can't mean this. You can't just leave to South Africa with Theo.
Ciara: Why not?
Ben: Because you're still recovering, Ciara.
Ciara: Ben, I feel fine.
Ben: No, mentally, you are still recovering.
Ciara: Mentally, I can't make my own decisions?
Ben: That's not what I'm saying to you.
Ciara: Okay, then what are you saying? Are you saying that I don't know what I
want?
Ben: It's not what I'm-- no, I'm not--
[Somber music]
Ciara, I think everything has just gotten very crazy. And we all need to take a
big step back and a deep breath.
Ciara: But that is exactly what I'm doing for myself. Are you?
Ben: I'm trying. Very hard. So yes. That is why I came here today-- to tell you
that I am backing off and I'm gonna stay away and if it is space that you need,
I promise you I'm going to give it to you, but just please, you cannot leave
Salem. Not yet.
Ciara: Ben--
Theo: Hey, what the hell are you doing here?
Ben: [Sighs]
Kate: So you saw Gabi and Philip on a date and you felt jealous.
Jake: In that moment, yes.
Kate: I'm glad you told me.
Jake: You sure?
Kate: Yeah, I am. I mean, it's not that I really want to hear that, but, um, I'm
glad I know.
Jake: Good. Because that's only part of the reason I asked you here.
Kate: There's another part?
Jake: I have another confession.
Kate: [Chuckling] Oh.
Jake: I want to take you on a trip. Yeah, somewhere where we don't have to bump
into Gabi and Philip every time we turn around.
Kate: [Chuckles] You know, the town does seem awfully small sometimes, doesn't
it?
Jake: I don't think I've ever walked through this square without bumping into
somebody I know.
Kate: So that's how we would get over the jealousy? We'd go off together?
Jake: Yeah, you know, I was hoping I could focus all my attention on you.
Kate: Ah. I see. Well, I mean, that sounds promising. What did you have in mind?
Something like a private island?
Jake: Something like that.
Kate: Mm. What about work? What about DiMera?
Jake: I'm CEO, baby; I get to do whatever the hell I want.
Kate: Yeah, okay, okay. But while you're gone, someone has to run the company,
don't they?
Jake: Okay, so I'll call Tony. See if he wants to jump in, take the reins for a
few weeks.
Kate: [Chuckling] I'm sure he would. The problem would be getting him to jump
back out.
Jake: [Chuckles] We'll cross that bridge when we have to. So what do you say?
You, me, sun, sand.
Vivian: Just... elaborate scheme you pulled off on Chloe and Brady and I
couldn't care less. You know what I do care about? I care about you breaking up
that bitch Kate from my Jacob. Do you at least have a plan?
Kristen: Not yet.
Vivian: Oh, damn it, Kristen. Come on.
Kristen: Well, I could--I could possibly--I could seduce him.
Vivian: He's your brother.
Kristen: We're not blood-related.
Vivian: Oh, yeah, yeah. And I'm telling you, he will be just all twitterpated by
that getup. And the other thing is I don't want him in your bed any more than I
want him in Kate's.
Kristen: Fine. I will come up with something else.
Vivian: Well, you better. Because you're gonna really give me no choice. I'm
just gonna have to go and tell Brady what's been going on.
Kristen: You know what? If I were you, I'd back off the threats.
Vivian: Why should I?
Kristen: Because the last person who threatened to expose me? Let's just say it
didn't end well for them.
Chloe: Did you just admit that you have feelings for me?
Brady: Yeah. Because I do.
Chloe: But you said--
Brady: I know what I said, Chloe. I haven't been very honest with myself or you,
for that matter, and I'm doing everything I can to try to deny it, push it down,
but, uh... think it's been building for quite a while now.
Chloe: So I have feelings for you and you have feelings for me. Does that mean
that you want to be with me?
Sami: You know what happened when Brady was shot, right?
Lucas: Yeah, Kristen broke out of jail, I know that.
Sami: Yes, and she pulled a gun on Chloe. I mean, that psycho was going to kill
Chloe.
Lucas: Why doesn't that surprise me?
Sami: Because it's who she is and she's just capable of anything. And the more
she fixates on this idea of Chloe going after Brady, the more likely she is to
do something about it.
Lucas: Did she say she was going to hurt Chloe?
Sami: She doesn't have to. This is Kristen. It's just who she is. Listen, Lucas.
All you have to do is make Chloe fall in love with you so she forgets all about
Brady. Could you live with yourself if something happened to her? If something
happened to Chloe or if her child were orphaned--
Lucas: All right, all right, oh, enough, okay? With the orphan stuff. You made
your point.
Sami: So you'll do it?
Lucas: Yeah, I'll do it, but I'm not happy about it.
Sami: You're not happy about--which part? The saving Chloe's life part or the
romancing a beautiful woman part?
Lucas: The second part.
Sami: Why? What--
Lucas: I don't want to pretend to have feelings for Chloe. It's wrong.
Sami: Well, who says you have to pretend?
Lucas: I am not in love with Chloe, so of course it's gonna be pretend.
Sami: For now.
Lucas: I can't do that, okay? I can't just show up and turn on my feelings for
her.
Sami: But it's not like you never had feelings for her. You were married to her.
Lucas: Yeah, we got divorced.
Sami: But then you got back together.
Lucas: Yeah, but that didn't work, either.
Sami: Yeah, but only because you had to come to Italy to help me with Allie. It
was hard for you to leave her, admit it.
Lucas: It was, all right? It sucked.
Sami: Exactly, so now you have a chance to fix it. It's a win-win.
Win-win-win--you, me, Kristen. We all get what we want, right? And even Chloe.
She gets to lead a happy, healthy life. What do you say?
Chloe: Brady, are you saying that there's a chance for us?
Brady: Chloe...
Chloe: Okay, wow. Well, um... I'm guessing that's a no.
Brady: No. It doesn't-- doesn't change anything. What I just told you, developed
these feelings for you, but the truth is...
Chloe: That you still love Kristen.
Brady: She's the mother of my daughter. And it's been really hard having her be
in prison, but I made a commitment to her to wait for her so that our family can
be together again and... I can't disregard that commitment.
Chloe: I understand.
Brady: Do you?
Chloe: I mean, I'll never feel like Kristen's right for you, but I accept your
decision.
Brady: Thank you.
Chloe: And, hey, I meant what I said before--I'm really sorry for, you know,
making things awkward for you and... you know what, quitting might still be the
best solution.
Brady: No, listen, listen. I do not want you to quit. Please don't quit.
Chloe: Brady, you are too nice of a guy to ask. I know you.
Brady: Stop it, stop it. I'm being selfish here.
Chloe: [Sighs]
Brady: You're one of my best friends in the world. I never want to lose you.
Chloe: You're one of my best friends, too.
Brady: I'm very happy to hear you say that. You know, I--I need you. I need you
at Basic Black. You're good at what you do and I don't want you to be
uncomfortable, though.
Chloe: No, no, if you don't have a problem with us working together, I don't,
either.
Brady: Deal. Great.
Chloe: So does that mean that you'll come into the office now?
Brady: That means I'm coming into the office tomorrow morning.
Chloe: Okay.
Brady: Yeah, absolutely. But right now, I... I have to go to Statesville.
Vivian: So now, you're threatening me?
Kristen: Read it how you will, Vivian. But just because you're in prison doesn't
mean you're safe.
Vivian: Mm. You know, you mention this other person. Who were you talking about?
Kristen: Someone who found out I was pretending to be Susan and threatened to
expose me. And I... I just couldn't let the truth come out.
Vivian: You killed them? That's okay. I mean, you can kill Kate.
Kristen: No, I did not kill them and I'm not going to kill Kate either.
Vivian: Then what did you do?
Kristen: I simply... disappeared them.
Vivian: What the hell does that mean?
Kristen: Let's just say it involved a mask, a suitcase, and a desert island.
Vivian: [Sighs] Okay, okay, okay. That will be fine for Kate. You can do that to
her. You just need to do it soon. I want that tramp out of my son's life.
Kristen: Fine. Fine, I will do it.
Kate: After all the palace intrigue at that mansion the past few months, I think
a private island with just the two of us would be absolutely perfect.
Jake: Yeah?
Kate: Mm-hmm.
Jake: Great, all right. [Sighs] I'll make all the arrangements at DiMera. Why
don't you go home and start packing?
Kate: Right now?
Jake: Yeah, why wait?
Kate: Oh, okay, yes. Wait. You know, most of my summer clothes are in off season
storage but I could just-- I'll have Harold bring them up.
Jake: Or you could just stop on your way home and pick up a few things. But I'm
hoping that the island is secluded enough that you won't have to be wearing very
many clothes.
Kate: I think that sounds really good. See you at the mansion.
Theo: You okay, Ciara?
Ciara: Yeah. I'm fine. I was just, um, explaining to Ben how we are leaving for
South Africa together.
Theo: Oh.
Ciara: Yeah. And um... he... he was just leaving.
[Somber music]
Ben: Theo, you don't want to do this.
Theo: I'm not doing anything. Ciara's the one who brought up the idea of coming
to South Africa with me.
Ben: You could've said no. You didn't have to let her.
Ciara: Let me? Ben, no one lets me do anything.
Ben: You know that's not what I meant.
Theo: Sounds like it's exactly what you meant.
Ben: Theo... I don't know what the hell you think you're doing, but you're
making a mistake.
Theo: Is that a threat?
Ben: No. Ciara, I get that you see me as this terrible person you can never
love. But you did love me. And somewhere inside of you, it's still there. So you
can run away from me, you can run away from this town, you can even leave this
country. But you are still my wife. That's never gonna change.
[Somber music]
Jake: [Sighs] Cheers, Gabi. Outta sight, outta mind. [Chuckles] You--
Chloe: [Sighs] Get it together, Chloe. What'd you think going after a man who's
in a committed relationship? What'd you think was gonna happen? [Sighs] You'll
find someone. [Knock at door] Uh, hey. This is a surprise. What are you doing
here?
[Soft dramatic music]
[Phone rings]
Brady: Yeah, I'll accept the call.
Vivian: Brady.
Brady: Vivian, hi.
Vivian: Listen, I'm glad I caught you before you left.
Brady: Um, yeah, I was just a bit delayed. Is everything okay?
Vivian: Yes, actually it was just a false alarm so you don't really have to come
down here at all.
Brady: I don't? What about Kristen? You said you were worried about her.
Vivian: I was. I had a few, you know, worries, but I spoke to her about it and
she assured me everything is absolutely fine now.
Kristen as Susan: Oh!
Kate: [Gasps]
Kristen as Susan: You are never gonna pull that off, honey.
Kate: Susan, you scared the hell out of me.
Kristen as Susan: Oh! Well, why would you be scared of little, old me, huh? I
mean, Susan Banks can't hurt a fly.
