Episode #14002 ~ Ben prepares to take drastic action to trigger Ciara's memory. Sami warns Lucas they have a problem. Chloe chews out Susan. Jake is jealous over Philip's date with Gabi.

Lucas: That's kind of her mo, right? That's what she does.

Kate: And the other night, I walk in, and she has philip's shirt off. She told me that she was-- she was tending his wounds.

Lucas: Ooh, that one, huh?

[Chuckles] Well, you know, look at the bright side, now that gabi's all over philip, she won't have any time to sink her teeth into jake. Sorry. Thought that would make you happy.

Kate: Mm.

[Sighs]

Jake: I'm sorry, did you just say you're on a date?

Gabi: Yes, you know, a date, where two people go out with romantic intent-- food, flowers.

Jake: I know what a date is.

Philip: And we're on one, buddy. So if you'll excuse us, we're having lunch at the bistro.

[Suspenseful music]

Kristen as susan: Yes, vivian, I promised I would break up kate and jake, but I have been a little busy. I am well aware that you can and will expose me if i don't come through for--

[Knock at door] I have to go. Because someone's at the door.

Chloe: I have a bone to pick with you.

[Tense music]

Ben: I'm only doing this because I love you, and I know you want us to be together just as much as I do.

Male announcer: Like sands through the hourglass, so are the "days of our lives."

[Soft orchestration]

Ben: I love you so much. I know this is extreme, but i don't know any other way for you to remember me. Or us. Or what we have.

Theo: Hey, what the hell are you doing?

Nicole: Hi, brady, what's up?

Brady: Hi, you know what's up.

Nicole: Uh, I do?

Brady: Yes, you do--the emergency meeting at the office. The one that you were supposed to be at, but you weren't there, but chloe was there, even though she wasn't supposed to be there.

Nicole: Right, sorry, uh, change of plans.

Brady: Yeah, I don't think you're sorry, I think your plan went exactly as you had hoped.

Nicole: Okay, yep, guilty as charged. Yes, I set you up. Because I thought maybe you and chloe needed to talk. Did you?

Brady: What would we need to talk about, nicole? What could we possibly need to talk about that would be so important?

Nicole: I don't know. Just thought maybe chloe needed to tell you something.

Brady: No, can't think of any--oh, wait, the fact that she has feelings for me again?

Nicole: Oh, good, so she did tell you.

Brady: Yeah, she did, she did. Thing is, she didn't even have to because I already heard it from susan banks.

Chloe: I can't believe you told brady that I have feelings for him.

Kristen as susan: Well, you do.

Chloe: Yeah, but that was our private conversation. You weren't supposed to share any of that.

Kristen as susan: Who told you I told him? Where, when, how?

Chloe: Who cares? It was colonel mustard in the library with the candlestick. What is this, a murder mystery?

[Scoffs]

Kristen as susan: Maybe.

Chloe: Well, it's all out in the open now, so...

Kristen as susan: What's that supposed to mean?

Chloe: It means brady and i just spoke at the office.

Kristen as susan: Okay, that's impossible. Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm. 'Cause I was right here. I was standing right here, and nicole called, and she said there was a work emergency, and she specifically said that you weren't gonna be there.

Chloe: She lied.

Kristen as susan: And why would she do a thing like that?

Chloe: Well, because she had the crazy idea that maybe i should be honest with my feelings to brady, and so she lied to him about the meeting so we could be in a room together.

Kristen as susan: [Sighs] Damn her.

Chloe: What'd you say?

Kristen as susan: I just said what a lucky little girl you are to have nicole looking out for you and all your fluffy feelings. So you did it--you spilled your pretty little guts.

Chloe: Yeah, but I didn't need to because brady already knew because you shared my deepest personal feelings. Why the hell would you do that, susan?

Gabi: Closed? Seriously? In the middle of lunchtime rush?

Philip: "Sprinkler flood. Will reopen next week."

Gabi: Well, that's just great.

Philip: It's no big deal. I've got a plan.

Gabi: Which is?

Philip: You'll see. Come with me.

Kate: I mean, I know philip can take care of himself, I just think he could do better.

Lucas: Now, where have i heard that before?

Kate: I mean, he's an adult. I know he's a grown adult, but i have never understood his taste in women, but I am staying out of it.

Lucas: You're what?

Kate: I mean it, lucas.

Lucas: All right, all right. Well, if everything's great with philip, then what's the problem?

Kate: Who said there was a problem?

Lucas: I think jake's gonna be the problem.

Kate: What about jake?

Lucas: Well, gabi's all over philip; it's probably gonna make jake jealous, and that's really gonna make you mad, isn't it?

Sami: Lucas? Oh, there you are. Kate!

Kate: Oh, hi. Welcome back, sami. Congratulations on not being a murderer.

Sami: Thanks. Well, maybe 'cause you weren't planting evidence. Listen, I need to talk to you. Come on, hey.

Lucas: Now?

Sami: Privately--yes. Sorry, see you later, kate.

Kate: Bye.

Lucas: Ooh-ooh-ooh. Two of us alone in a bedroom? Are you sure you wanna go down this road again?

Sami: Listen, I just need to talk to you. Can we just talk privately? I don't want spying eyes and ears to overhear us.

Lucas: Well, good, I don't want anyone to see us together and get the wrong idea anyway, so--

Sami: It's a bit late for that.

Lucas: What do you mean?

Sami: Someone already knows that we slept together.

Chloe: I trusted you to keep my confidence.

Kristen as susan: Well, i thought brady had the right to know! And to be honest, actually, avoiding you was my idea. Yeah, I suggested to him to keep his distance as not to lead you on. Did he not tell you that?

Chloe: No, he didn't tell me that, but he did say that he knew that I had feelings for him, so I just--I figured I'd go for broke and tell him.

Kristen as susan: Tell him what? What'd you say to him, chloe?

Chloe: I just reminded him what a horrible person kristen is, and point blank, he would be better off with me.

Jake: [Sighs]

Kate: Hey. This is a surprise. What have you been up to?

Jake: Oh, went and saw ben. Then took a long walk.

Kate: How's he doing?

Jake: Guy's a mess.

Kate: God. I mean, the love of your life totally losing her memory of you. I mean, I can't even begin to imagine how that feels.

Jake: Yeah. Thank you, by the way, for helping him get his hand on that drug for ciara.

Kate: Sure, of course, of course. I mean, I hope it works. I hope she gets her memory back. Had you heard from him?

Jake: Nothing yet. But hoping no news is good news.

Ciara: Oh, my god, what are you doing!

Ben: I need you to listen to me.

Theo: A crazy man with a needle, I don't think so.

Ben: It's not what you think.

Theo: Give me the needle.

Ben: No!

Theo: Ben, give me the needle!

Ben: Get away from me. Ciara, you need to listen to me. I can explain to you.

Ciara: Explain what? That you're trying to kill me because I rejected you, you absolute psychopath?

Ben: No, no.

Theo: I'm calling security.

Ben: No, you're not.

Theo: What's in the syringe, ben?

Ben: It's a drug that helps people get their memories back.

Ciara: Really? Then why isn't marlena giving it to me? Why do you have it, ben?

Ben: If you take it, you will remember everything.

Ciara: I've never heard of a drug like that.

Theo: I have. It's dr. Rolf's serum, isn't it?

Ben: Yes, it is.

Ciara: Wait, dr. Rolf? The mad scientist?

Ben: Yes, ciara, and it works.

Theo: It has side effects.

Ben: There are no side side effects; rolf has perfected it since then.

Theo: Are you sure about that? Or are you just so desperate, you'll try anything, even something that could hurt ciara?

Ben: I would never do anything that wasn't safe. Ciara, I love you. I know the hypnosis was horrible, and the first thing you remembered was terrifying, and I'm sorry that you had to go through that, but if you could just remember everything, I promise you, you wouldn't feel afraid or confused or alone. You would feel safe. You would feel safe with me, and you would remember us. You would know the truth about us, and exactly how much we love each other. Just please let me help you.

Jake: Poor ben. You know, he's so desperate. If that drug doesn't work, I don't know what he's gonna do.

Kate: Hmm, you might wanna go easy on that, it's still early, you know.

Jake: Nah, been a long day, then some.

Kate: Did--did something else happen besides ciara and ben?

Philip: Something wrong?

Gabi: Not really, just not exactly my favorite place.

Philip: Why not? I hear the food here is great.

Gabi: Really overrated, like the owner. Doesn't help that she hates my guts.

Philip: What, because you killed her beloved nick? Isn't that ancient history by now?

Gabi: It is, ah, but when it comes to me and julie, me killing that sob is just the tip of the iceberg.

Nicole: [Groans] Of course susan told you. Like she could keep her mouth shut about something that is none of her business.

Brady: When did it become your business?

Nicole: Brady, I am concerned about you and chloe.

Brady: And you hate kristen.

Nicole: Okay, that has nothing to do with this.

Brady: Right. So what did you expect out of this little ambush?

Nicole: Oh. [Chuckles] It was hardly an ambush, okay? I just--I thought it was an opportunity for chloe to talk to you face-to-face about how she feels. So how did it go?

Brady: How did it go? Before or after chloe, uh, recounted all of kristen's sins in excruciating detail and then told me I'd be better off without her?

Nicole: Wow, she really went for it. I'm so proud of her.

Brady: Why didn't you tell-- why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you warn me about what was gonna happen?

Nicole: Well, because I knew you wouldn't show up. And you needed this, brady, and so did chloe, and look, now it's out in the open.

Brady: Yeah, d-- it's really out in the open now.

Nicole: Brady, what, exactly, did you say to chloe?

Kristen as susan: [Stammers] You told brady that kristen is a horrible person?

Chloe: Well, yeah, but that's not news to anyone who knows her.

Kristen as susan: Ah. Well, what did brady have to say about that?

Chloe: Well, he tried to defend her, of course, but honestly, it was a little pathetic. I mean, for god's sakes, the woman tried to kill his grandfather. Not to mention all the awful things she did to marlena--

Kristen as susan: Okay, okay! I get the point! I get the point, sweetie! Kristen is mean, mean, mean, yeah, but we're not talking about her; we're talking about you and brady, so what did he have to say about the two of you?

Chloe: Well, I brought up the fact that there's been some sparks between us lately, and, um, when he walked in on me and philip and thought we'd slept together, he seemed really jealous.

Kristen as susan: Okay, just cut to the chase, cut to the chase.

Chloe: I basically asked him if the feeling was mutual.

Kristen as susan: Oh... so sad for you. I mean, brady obviously told you you were wrong, mm-hmm.

Chloe: Actually, he didn'T.

Lucas: Wait a minute, what do mean, somebody saw us? You kicked me out of that place so fast, I barely had time to get dressed. Nobody saw me in that town house.

Sami: The second I closed the door, I turned around, and there was susan banks standing right there.

Lucas: She saw us?

Sami: She did.

Lucas: Oh. Damn it!

Sami: Yeah.

Lucas: Uh, uh, well, what'd you do? You lied to her, right?

Sami: Of course I tried to lie to her, but she overheard us, and by "us," I mean "you" talking about how we had slept together, and now she's threatening to tell ej.

Lucas: Well, I am sorry...

Sami: You understand? You understand that if she tells ej, this just blows up my entire life, lucas?

Lucas: Don't do that--don't freak out about this, okay? This is like voldemort going against bugs bunny. You got this. You're gonna destroy her.

Sami: Thank you.

Lucas: Yeah.

Sami: That's very nice of you, but I don't get to be the voldemort in this situation because susan banks is not-- she's not susan banks.

Lucas: What do you mean? What are you talking about?

Sami: She's kristen! Susan is kristen "voldemort" dimera. Honestly, I thought I was getting my floors cleaned.

Jake: It's nothing. Shin's just busting my ass over those quarterly reports.

Kate: Okay, well, I can help you with that. I'll just cancel my afternoon appointments, and we'll work on the reports.

Jake: Actually, I know exactly what you can do to help me. This.

[Heartwarming music]

Yep. Better already.

Kate: Mm-hmm. Well, I'm glad I could help in some way.

Jake: [Chuckles] How about I take you to lunch, and then we come back here for dessert?

Kate: Okay, what about the reports, though?

Jake: Uh, shin's just gonna have to wait.

Kate: Mm-hmm. Well, I like the way you think, sir.

Jake: Oh.

Kate: Um, so what should we have? Italian? Thai? Indian?

Jake: How about I take you to julie's place?

Kate: Oh, I love it.

Jake: Let's go.

Kate: I love it.

Jake: You're driving.

Kate: I knew you'd say that.

[Both laugh]

Philip: You pushed julie down a flight of stairs?

Gabi: No, no, no, that was an accident, but nobody believed me. Oh, and then there's the good ol' pacemaker that I had implanted in her.

Philip: What?

Gabi: Yeah, I had this app, but I could use it to control her heart. I mean, that's pretty cool, right?

Philip: You're joking.

Gabi: I mean, it's pretty hard to believe that witch has a heart, but yeah. Technically, it was my late husband's heart.

Philip: Why are you telling me all this?

Gabi: Philip, I don't have anything to hide. I mean, it's not really a secret. I basically tried to give julie a coronary in front of half the town at eli and lani's wedding.

Philip: Why aren't you in prison?

Gabi: Because I'm smart. Why, is this too much for our first date?

Philip: No. No, actually, I'm impressed.

Gabi: Really? And I think we may be kind of kindred spirits.

Gabi: Really, how so?

Philip: I have some deep, dark secrets of my own.

Gabi: Well, you have my attention.

Philip: Okay. So let's see. All the way back in high school, when I was dating chloe lane, I naively thought that she would be mine forever till brady moved in. So...

[Chuckles]

Gabi: So...

Brady: What do you think I said to chloe? I wasn't gonna let her trash the mother of my child.

Nicole: Why the hell not? Kristen deserves it after everything she did to me and how many other people in this town?

Brady: I know kri--I'm aware of kristen's history, nicole, and I know how people feel about her. I don't give a damn. I happen to love her.

Nicole: Mm. Do you, or are you just telling yourself that because she's clingy and needy and completely besotted with you...

Brady: Whoa.

Nicole: And you are such a nice guy that you don't wanna hurt her?

Brady: No, I'm telling myself that because it's true.

Nicole: [Scoffs] Brady. Chloe was your first love.

Brady: I don't know what that has to do with anything.

Nicole: Well, maybe because kristen is in prison for god knows how long, and now chloe is in your life. Can you honestly tell me you don't feel something for her?

Kristen as susan: So brady didn't just throw you out like last week's mashed potatoes?

Chloe: Uh, no.

Kristen as susan: Oh. So what did he say?

Chloe: Well, he didn't really say anything, he just--he made an excuse and then got out of there as fast as he could.

Kristen as susan: Well--ah, that's just because he didn't want to put you through that terrible, horrible, awful pain of rejecting you to your face.

Chloe: I didn't really take it like that at all.

Kristen as susan: Well then, how did you take it, miss chloe?

Lucas: Susan banks is kristen dimera?

Sami: Yeah. Kristen's been masquerading as susan for weeks now.

Lucas: Are you sure?

Sami: Yes, lucas, I am sure. She took off the wig and the glasses and the fake teeth and everything--it was disgusting, but it was definitely kristen.

Lucas: Well, why would she out herself to you?

Sami: Apparently, she needs my help.

Lucas: That doesn't sound good.

Sami: Tell me about it.

Lucas: Wait a minute, why-- why would kristen pretend to be susan in the first place?

Sami: So kristen went off about how she's worried that chloe is going after brady, so she came up with this plan to convince susan to take her place at statesville, and I guess susan is there, cooling her heels behind bars while kristen is here "keeping brady safe" from chloe.

Lucas: Why would susan pretend to go to jail for her?

Sami: Remember the whole "voldemort versus bugs bunny thing"?

Lucas: Right, right, right. Okay, so why would kristen ask you for help?

Sami: Look, she's not asking me for anything. She is blackmailing me. She made it abundantly clear that if I don't get chloe out of the picture, my marriage is over.

Ciara: I told you I didn't want to be hypnotized because I didn't want to remember my life with you, ben. And instead of respecting my wishes, you go behind my back, you sneak into my hospital room while I'm sleeping and try to inject me with an experimental drug without my consent? Do you hear yourself? And you say you're doing that in the name of love? You are sick, ben! You are crazy, you are sick. Get out! Get out, ben! Look, if you don't leave, I'm gonna call my aunt kayla, and I'm gonna make her kick you out of this room, I'm gonna...

Ben: Ciara, please don't do this, please don't do this--

Ciara: I never wanna see you again!

Ciara: And this is how you show me? This is how you love me? You try to inject me with a syringe full of god knows what? I guess I should be so lucky that you don't have a necktie in your hands.

Ben: I would never hurt you, ciara, I would-- I saved your life.

Ciara: My grandfather says that you're the reason why I almost died. Is that true?

Ben: If you knew everything, if you knew the whole story--

Ciara: Oh, my god, I am so sick of you saying that to me. "If I knew everything"-- I don't want to know everything! I don't wanna know you. I don't ever wanna see you ever again, okay? So just leave, ben weston. Get the hell out of my life already!

Ben: If that's what you want.

Ciara: It is.

[Somber music]

Gabi: You have a son named "pocket"?

Philip: It's complicated.

Gabi: Okay, is that how you feel about chloe? "It's complicated"?

Philip: Since you were being so honest with me, I thought I'd be honest with you. I used to think that chloe was the best thing to ever happen to me. Sometimes, I still do.

Gabi: Even though brady got the girl?

Philip: They didn't last, did they?

Gabi: Well, I remember you told me that she recently rejected you.

Philip: Yeah, she did.

Gabi: But you still love her in spite of that?

Philip: They say about first love...

Gabi: Yeah, I do.

Philip: But if they don't return your feelings, there's not much else you can do except move on.

Gabi: Right.

Jake: Yeah, sure.

Kate: [Sighs]

Jake: Aha, great.

Gabi: Oh, hello again. So okay, what is the deal? Are you following us?

Brady: Look, not that it's any of your business...

Nicole: Yes, we've covered that.

Brady: Chloe did mention that she's--she thinks that there's still a connection between us. She went as far as to say that she thinks that I may even return her feelings.

Nicole: And? Is she wrong?

Brady: Of course she is.

Nicole: You hesitated.

Brady: I did not.

Nicole: Yes, you did.

Brady: I didn't hesitate at all.

Nicole: You hesitated, which means you feel something, don't you?

Brady: Even if I did--and I'm not saying I do--even if there was something there, it's not like I'm going to turn my back on kristen and leave her for chloe.

Nicole: Why not?

Chloe: Listen, brady and I, we've--we've known each other since I was 16 years old, and we've always been honest with each other. I just feel like if he didn't have feelings for me, he would've just said so.

Kristen as susan: Hmm. You--just grasping at straws. Well, I just hate to tell you this, miss chloe, but woman to woman, the man walked out lickety-split because he is in love with kristen dimera. End of story.

Chloe: I mean, I know that she is the mother of his child, but if he truly loved her with his whole heart--

Kristen as susan: Oh, my god! Just shut up!

[Groans] Shut up!

Lucas: Well, you know, it seems to me that you're the one who's in a position of power because if kristen broke out of jail, all you gotta do is call the police.

Sami: Sure. Yeah, you're right. I could call the police, get her thrown in jail, but she's gonna call her brother and blab to him about us sleeping together, and then ej is gonna find out, and then he's never gonna forgive me, lucas. You know that.

Lucas: Well, I'm not so sure about that. I mean, you forgave ej for sleeping with abigail.

Sami: Thanks. Thanks a lot for that reminder.

Lucas: Sorry, it just slipped out.

Sami: God, oh, god, I can't believe this is happening.

Lucas: Wait a minute, how does kristen expect you to get chloe out of the picture, anyway?

Sami: I don't know! I don't know. But that's why I'm here. Because you and I are gonna sit here, and we're gonna figure out a plan to get me out of this.

[Sighs]

Theo: And get out of here, you maniac!

Ben: You'd like that, wouldn't you?

Theo: It's not about me. It's about what ciara wants.

Ben: Yeah, I know what it's about. Ciara, I love you. And I will love you forever.

[Syringe clatters]

Ciara: Wait.

Jake: Of course I'm not following you. You guys said you were going to be at the bistro.

Philip: It was closed.

Jake: Oh.

Kate: Oh, really? I didn't realize that you had all spoken before.

Gabi: Yes, that must have slipped his mind, but we didn't really talk about much, right, except that philip and i are on a date.

Kate: Oh, a date.

Philip: Yeah, so it'd be good if you all moved along.

Kate: Mm-hmm.

Jake: Yeah, kate, why don't we get going?

Kate: I think that's a great idea.

Philip: My mom and your ex? That was a fun little encounter, huh?

Gabi: [Chuckles]

Brady: Whatever I might feel or might not feel for chloe, I'm still in love with kristen.

Nicole: You can't love two people at the same time.

Brady: Kristen is in jail. I promised her that I would wait for her, no matter how long it takes. That's what she's clinging to: Hope. I'm not gonna tell the mother of my child that I'm leaving her.

Nicole: Oh, I'll do it! I'll do it, I'll go to statesville right now and I'll tell her.

Brady: You're not helping.

Nicole: No, I'll break it to her easy.

Brady: Would you stop? I'm not doing it--I'm not-- I'm staying with kristen. I love her, and that's the end of the story, okay? Thank you for everything.

Nicole: Come on, brady, you're such a lug.

Brady: Don't call me a lug. I don't even know what a lug is.

Nicole: You know what, fine, I am sorry, you're not a lug. You're actually a wonderful, loving, kind man, and kristen is a psychopath.

Brady: She's changed. She's a different woman.

Nicole: The hell she has! She has not changed. Whether you can admit it to yourself or not, you have to know that kristen will revert to form sooner or later. Brady, how--how-- how can you not see that you and rachel would be better off without her?

Chloe: Excuse me?

Kristen as susan: [Sighs] I'm sorry. I just, um, whew. Just listening to you talk about brady and love, I just, uh, I just got this, uh, feeling that I'm missing my--my--love of my life something fierce.

Chloe: Ah, well, maybe then you should just pack up your stuff and go join roger on tour.

Kristen as susan: [Laughs] You would like to get rid of me, wouldn't you, little missy?

Chloe: Susan, you don't exactly make things easy.

Kristen as susan: You know what, instead of marching in here and picking bones with me and insulting me, you should be thanking me for what I did.

Chloe: Thanking you? Okay, seriously, do me a favor. From now on, just mind your own business.

[Sighs]

Kristen as susan: Or else what, chloe? I don't care what it takes, but you are not gonna steal the man I love.

Ben: Do you remember something? Please tell me you remember me.

Ciara: Don't you dare take another step.

[Somber music]

Take it. It's yours. I don't wanna see it--or you-- ever again in my life.

Ben: [Sighs] Goodbye, ciara.

Jake: Mmm, irish. Who knew that's what I was in the mood for all along?

Kate: [Chuckles] You know, is there any particular reason that you didn't mention that you saw gabi and philip out on a date?

Jake: I thought we weren't talking about gabi anymore.

Kate: Yeah, well, it just seems like it might have occurred to you that I'd wanna know if my son was in her clutches.

Jake: Okay, well, frankly, I thought you would be happy that gabi's got her hooks in someone else.

Kate: Yeah. I just hope that it's not gabi's hooks that upset you earlier.

Jake: Okay, can we not do this right now, please? For the record, final time, once and for all, I am not interested in gabi. So there's no reason I would be upset that she's on a date with philip or anybody else, for that matter. Now for what it's worth, I am still very much in the mood for dessert.

Kate: [Laughs]

Jake: So I'm gonna go pay the bill, and I will be right back.

Kate: Okay.

Philip: So I just started practicing some speed reading techniques. Last night, I picked up "war and peace." Read it in, like, ten seconds. I know it's only three words, but it's a start, right?

Gabi: Definitely, yeah. "War and peace," that's what y-- uh, yeah, I read the cliffsnotes, I believe.

Philip: Okay, okay. So on a scale of one to ten, how do you think our date's going so far?

Gabi: The date? Um, it's going fine.

Philip: Except you're thinking about jake dimera nonstop.

Gabi: So, um, why don't you buy me another bottle of wine and make me forget all about him?

Brady: I think we're done here.

Nicole: You know what? Denying your feelings isn't gonna make them go away, brady, and you can't avoid chloe because you work together.

Brady: Nicole, stay out of it, please. I mean it.

Chloe: Brady, what are you doing here?

Brady: I was just leaving.

Lucas: [Scoffs] Great job, great bluffing. I almost believed you.

Sami: I wasn't bluffing.

Sami: Since right now.

Lucas: Do I wanna know it?

Sami: Chloe is your ex-wife. All you have to do is make her fall back in love with you.

Lucas: [Sighs]
