Episode #13522 ~ Stefan is caught secretly trying to usher Gabi out of the mansion. Brady comforts Chloe over Holly's kidnapping. Victor blames Nicole for Holly's disappearance. Rafe disobeys Hope's orders, which ends in tragedy.

Stefan: I know.

Gabi: I was sure that wasn't going to happen again.

Stefan: Yeah, me, too.

Gabi: What the hell are we doing?

Stefan: I have no idea. How the hell did we just end up in bed together again? Especially with chloe going through hell.

Gabi: I'd call it multitasking.

Stefan: What, are you making jokes now?

Gabi: No.

Stefan: A child is missing.

Gabi: My point is you're very stressed out, okay? You needed relief and now you got some. Now that your head's clear, you're in a much better place to find holly.

Stefan: So what, this is a good thing?

Gabi: Oh, well, I wouldn't go that far, but it did serve a purpose--a very specific purpose for the both of us. And don't get all tensed up. We didn't plan for this to happen.

Stefan: I guess you're right.

Gabi: You know I'm right.

Chloe: Stefan? Stefan, are you here?

[Knocking at door] Oh, maybe that's news on holly.

Brady: Hey.

Chloe: Hey, not a good time.

Brady: Chloe, look, I know you're upset with me, but if we could just please sit and talk about this.

Chloe: I just came from the police station, I've got to give stefan an update, so if you could please just go.

Brady: All right, I will as soon as I say what I came here to say.

[Phones ringing]

Hope: Hey.

Rafe: Chloe was just here looking for information on holly.

Hope: I saw nicole.

Rafe: How'd that go?

Hope: Surreal.

Ted: I know where holly is.

Hope: Where is she?

Rafe: Well?

Ted: I'm sorry, I cannot say.

Sarah: Eric and nicole are going to be together, as they should be. She's the love of his life, and he's the love of hers. It hurts, but I have to accept that eric is gone. I'm not gonna fall apart. It's just not who I am.

Marlena: What are you going to do?

Sarah: The only thing I can do. Move on. Marry rex.

Marlena: You know, you don't have to commit yourself to a lifetime with rex just because you can't have eric.

Sarah: But I have committed myself, I said yes.

Marlena: I understand about all that. I'm just saying that, well, marrying somebody by default doesn't mean the pain is going to go away. You should think about that before you do something permanent.

Sarah: It's not like I don't love rex. I do. It's just this thing with eric is...

Rex: What about my brother?

[Tense music]

Eric: Nicole, hector is gonna get what he wants from the D.A., And we are gonna get holly back home. The only reason that they took her--

Nicole: I don't care why they took her. I don't care about hector and this cartel chloe was stupid enough to get herself caught up in. I just want my daughter back.

Eric: I know, and you need to be strong right now. You need to trust that everything is going to work out, which it will. I promise. I promise.

Victor: Well, well, well. Look what the cat dragged in.

[Dramatic music]

[Soft orchestration]

Gabi: [Sighs] I hate to admit it, but that was damn good.

Stefan: Yeah, right, but-- but this can never happen again. This is not what I need in my life, gabi. I mean it, we're done.

Gabi: Totally agree.

Stefan: Really?

Gabi: Mm-hmm, yeah, yeah. What, did you think I wanted this to be some ongoing thing?

Stefan: I don't know, judging from your enthusiasm a few moments ago, I--

Gabi: Listen, we may be hot between the sheets, but don't forget, we hate each other, all right? And as therapeutic as this may be, I want more in my life than just meaningless sex. And we both know that's all this will ever be.

Stefan: Yeah.

Gabi: So now that we got this out of our systems, we can forget it even happened.

Stefan: Good. Glad to hear we're on the same page. Now, why don't you get dressed before chloe comes back.

Gabi: [Sighs] Okay.

Chloe: Talk fast.

Brady: Look, I know I'm not your favorite person right now, okay?

Chloe: You mean, since you started trying to micromanage my life?

Brady: Chloe, I messed up a little bit. But I spoke to a very wise person who suggested that i think long and hard about why I'm acting the way that I am.

Chloe: Well, that sounds like good advice, but I really don't have time right now--

Brady: Chloe, the only reason--the only reason I am here right now is to see how you're doing and to make sure you're okay. That's it. I don't want to control you. I just want to offer you my support.

Chloe: Well, I appreciate that.

Brady: Have you heard from the police?

Chloe: Yeah, rafe filled me in, he said that the D.A. Is trying to cut a deal with hector.

Brady: Yeah, I heard that he is willing to exchange holly for extradition back to mexico.

Chloe: Yeah, supposedly, I just--I just hope that she's okay. I just keep imagining her little face being scared and confused, and I'm just worried sick. I know you are too. I know you love her, especially since you helped raise her when you and nicole were in canada. Wait, you have heard about nicole, right?

Brady: Yeah, and, chloe, she showed up at the house, and I can't wrap my head around how she survived the explosion.

Chloe: I know, it's unbelievable. I mean, it's a miracle, but for her to come home to this, she trusted me to take care of her little girl, and I failed her.

Brady: No, no, you didn'T. You've always taken excellent care of holly.

Chloe: She got kidnapped from under my nose.

Brady: Chloe, chloe, hey, it wasn't your fault.

Chloe: Yes, it was, all of this--if I hadn't killed el fideo, none of this--

Brady: Stop, if you hadn't killed el fideo, you might still be his prisoner, you might be dead, and then parker may not have his mom, all right? You did what you had to do.

Chloe: I know I needed to come home to my baby, but so doesn't nicole.

Brady: I know. I told her that she has all the resources of titan at her disposal, and the cops seem to know where holly is, so I think this thing is gonna be over very, very soon.

Chloe: Ugh, I hope so, but rafe doesn't seem to trust hector or the D.A.

Brady: Well, I trust hope. And she's all over it. I think holly is gonna be home very soon.

Hope: Why can't you tell us where holly is?

Ted: Hector says he only trusts me.

Rafe: Hmm, wonder why that is.

Ted: I don't know, rafe, maybe because I offered him a deal that gives him everything he wants. Oh, and us too, by the way.

Rafe: Well, that is truly amazing, because hector swore to hope that his crew had nothing to do with holly's kidnapping, and then you make a run at it, and suddenly not only have they taken holly, but you're the only one who can get her back.

Ted: Rafe, what are you insinuating?

Rafe: I'm just trying to find out how close you really are to hector.

Ted: Oh, me and el fideo crew, you think we are connected?

Rafe: For all I know, you're on his payroll. What? Not like he hasn't done shady stuff in the past.

Ted: Okay, I'm done listening to this. Do you want holly back or not?

Rafe: Of course we want her back, but you're going in there by yourself. We're gonna send in a whole team.

Ted: No, no, no, I have to go alone. Those people are dangerous. We're not doing this--

Rafe: You're not going in there alone.

Ted: Luckily, I don't need your approval. I only need the support of the commissioner.

Hope: I don't like this. But it might be the only opportunity we have to get holly back. So I am giving ted the go-ahead to set up a meet with the kidnapper.

Rafe: Is that final, commissioner?

Hope: For right now it is.

[Tense music]

Marlena: Could you let me know about my grandson?

Rex: Yes, absolutely. He's doing so great. He's still in radiology. He should be out any minute. So what's going on with eric?

Sarah: Um, I don't--I don't wanna upset you, and I certainly don't want you and eric to be upset with each other.

Rex: No, no, no, no, no, sarah, look, whatever it is, honey, you can tell me, really.

Sarah: Well... eric and I were talking, and... ...it turns out he's still upset with me for the whole mistake I made with xander.

Rex: What? No. No, absolutely not. If I can get over that, he can. Marlena, can you talk to him?

Marlena: Oh, no, I'm not getting in the middle of this.

Rex: Okay, well, if you won't, then I will.

Sarah: No, rex, I don't-- I don't want you to do that. Besides, I don't think it'll be an issue anymore, especially now that nicole is back.

Victor: Maggie gave me the bad news last night.

Nicole: About holly?

Victor: No, that too.

Nicole: Victor, I know you're not happy to see me, but my daughter is missing and I'm going out of my mind. So please, can we just put our differences aside for now and focus on getting holly back?

Eric: Don't make this personal.

Victor: As far as I'm concerned, it's extremely personal. Daniel's daughter has been kidnapped because of you.

Nicole: What?

Victor: If you hadn't been so damn careless, holly wouldn't be in this mess.

Eric: Victor, please.

Nicole: Excuse me, victor, but my daughter means everything to me, and I would never, ever put her in harm's way.

Victor: Except when you fall victim to xander and kristen. Caused you to turn holly over to that bimbo, chloe lane. Which caused her to be kidnapped. So you can spin it any way you want, sweetheart, but this whole mess is all your doing.

Ted: Thank you for backing me up. I know it's not easy taking my side.

Hope: No, no, I'm not taking sides, ted, okay? What you proposed made sense. Send in the one person hector trusts most, and that's you, right?

Ted: Yeah. If we want that little girl back, we cannot do anything to rock the boat.

Hope: Exactly. One false move, and everything blows up.

Ted: Thank you for having faith in me. What?

Hope: [Stammers] I'm having second thoughts about you meeting this guy without backup. I'm sending in plainclothes cops.

Ted: No, no, no, no, no. Hector was very clear. No cops. Please.

Hope: Then I'm counting on you to bring holly back safely.

Ted: I will. I will.

[Tense music]

Sarah: Seriously, rex, you don't have to worry about eric. And besides, with everything else that's going on, I think my indiscretion is the last thing on his mind.

Rex: Yeah, but still, we are getting married soon, and I'd love to have this cleared up before the wedding.

Marlena: Boy, I sure understand that. I do think that if eric and sarah have anything going on they need to resolve, they should do it between themselves.

Sarah: Marlena's right. And if you say anything, it could just make things worse. It's like I said, nicole is back and eric is completely focused on her and holly.

Rex: Okay, but if he gets on your case again then--

Sarah: Thank you so much for wanting to help, but I can handle this myself, and you have to promise to let me do that.

Rex: Okay. I promise. I gotta go check on will. I'll be back.

Marlena: I understand that you had to come up with something on the fly, but what if rex goes to confront eric?

Sarah: No, he won'T. Besides, what was I supposed to say? I was gonna leave him for his brother if nicole hadn't come back from the dead? No, don't answer that. Eric is reunited with the woman that he loves, and that's all that matters.

Nicole: How dare you blame me for what happened to holly. I wasn't even there when she was kidnapped.

Victor: Oh, right, you were busy running from the law after you had murdered deimos.

Eric: Nicole only left town because brady forced her to.

Nicole: And xander was the reason I couldn't come back.

Victor: Oh, at least he's good for something.

Nicole: Wow. You must be so proud, victor, knowing that your own flesh and blood blackmailed me with a recording of my confession. First your grandson used it to make me leave the man I love, and then your nephew used it to make me marry him. Congratulations.

Victor: As one of the many, many men who can say, "been there, done that," I would have strongly advised him against becoming your husband. And you, don't take any bubble baths with this one around.

Nicole: Do you have any idea what it's like to live with a sadistic freak like xander cook?

Victor: As a matter of fact, I do. But now that he's no longer here, traipsing half-naked between my liquor cabinet and my spa tub, I have to ask, are the authorities aware of the fact that you've committed murder?

Nicole: Excuse me?

Victor: I take that as a no. Well, maybe I should fill them in.

Chloe: I just feel so helpless, like the only thing I can do is pray that hector does the right thing.

Brady: Well, no matter what he does, just know that all of us--eric, nicole and maggie, hope--all of us, we're gonna make sure that holly gets home safe and sound, okay?

Chloe: And stefan's been so great, so caring and supportive, and I really need to go talk to him, so...

Brady: Okay, all right, just do me one favor. If you need me, call me, all right?

Chloe: I will, thanks. Let me walk you out.

[Phone rings]

Brady: Oh, go ahead. No, I'll see you later.

Chloe: Okay, thanks. Hope, hey, do you have holly?

Hope: Not yet, but we're getting close.

[Tense music]

Brady: Well... what the hell is going on here?

Hope: So that's it. Ted goes in, gets holly and gets out.

Chloe: But ted laurent, do you really think that he can pull this off?

Hope: Right now, he's the only shot we have of getting nicole's daughter back.

Chloe: I'm sorry, hope. I don't mean to second-guess you, I know you're working as hard as you can to get holly back.

Hope: I know, chloe.

Chloe: Well, what about nicole? Does she know about the plan? Is she okay with it?

Hope: I've left a couple of messages. Hopefully she will call back soon.

Eric: Put the phone down, please.

Victor: Back off, padre. I'm doing my civic duty here.

Nicole: Eric. Give me that.

Victor: Oh, wonderful, now I can charge you with theft as well.

Nicole: Victor, what is the matter with you? You hated deimos as much as I did, which is why you ordered xander to get rid of him.

Victor: But you beat him to the punch. Or the knife, whatever the case may be. And you know what they say, do the crime, do the time.

Nicole: I did do the time. When I was forced to break eric's heart. When I was forced to rip holly from her home and her family. When I was forced to play house with that demented mercenary who took pleasure in tormenting me every day. And when we did try to escape, I was blown to hell, literally.

Eric: Okay, nicole, don't waste your breath.

Nicole: And I spent months trying to will myself to stay alive so that I could find my way back to holly, and now she's missing.

Victor: What goes around comes around.

Nicole: Are you saying I deserve this?

Victor: No, I don't believe in karma. Although it could be the universe paying you back for all the terrible things you've done.

Sarah: How dare you talk to her that way. Do you have any idea what nicole has gone through, what she is going through right now? And you have the nerve to talk to her like that. What kind of monster are you?

Victor: Don't take that tone with me, missy. You are a guest in this house.

Sarah: Of my mom'S. So unless you want to hear what she thinks about you verbally assaulting the mother of her grandchild, you better back the hell off and apologize.

Victor: I tell 'em like I see 'em.

Sarah: I am so, so sorry. He's completely out of line.

Nicole: I just want my daughter back.

Sarah: I know, I know. And we are gonna--we are gonna make that happen. I have no doubt that we are gonna find holly.

Nicole: [Sobs]

Brady: Wow, you really are a pig, you know that? Chloe's in the other room completely upset over holly. You're upstairs having sex with gabi, are you kidding me?

Stefan: You have no idea what you're talking about.

Gabi: You go talk to chloe. I will deal with him.

Stefan: Hey, any news?

Chloe: Yeah, I just talked to hope. Ted laurent, the D.A., He worked out a deal with hector to get holly back.

Stefan: That's great.

Chloe: Yeah, but it's risky. Ted's gonna do the handoff by himself because hector said no cops, and I don't know I we can trust him, either one of them. Is everything okay?

Stefan: Yeah, I'm sorry. What were you saying?

Chloe: I'm just wondering how you can trust if someone's lying to you or hiding something from you. You know, it's so hard.

Brady: Ha, talk about the walk of shame.

Gabi: What are you doing here?

Brady: What are you doing here? I thought we agreed to give up the plan.

Gabi: No, you gave up. I never said I was out.

Brady: So stefan is in?

Gabi: Well, I plan on seducing stefan, marrying him, and taking him for everything he's worth.

Brady: So it's true, you slept with the enemy, okay.

Gabi: Wait, wait, wait.

Brady: Hey, hey, no, no, look, if you're gonna do the nasty with stefan at the same time that he's romancing chloe, I think she needs to know about it.

Gabi: No, not so fast, brady.

Gabi: This plan was all your idea.

Gabi: Not for me. Just because you gave up on chloe doesn't mean that I have to give up on my revenge, okay? Stefan has to pay for what he did to me.

Brady: Not with chloe as collateral damage.

Gabi: If you charge in there right now, you're gonna look like a fool. You're gonna look jealous, you're gonna look vindictive.

Gabi: Stefan and I did not sleep together.

Brady: What were you doing up there, playing darts?

Gabi: All right, fine, okay, I threw myself at him.

Gabi: I shouldn't have even come here in the first place. I don't know what I was--

Stefan: You're not going anywhere.

Stefan: Let's get something straight. You may be the face of gabi chic, but I run dimera.

Gabi: Not very well at the moment. That's why I'm gonna do things my way.

Gabi: Well, that was unexpected.

Stefan: I know.

Gabi: I was sure that wasn't going to happen again.

Gabi: Well, not anymore. Okay, he told me he's not interested. He's into chloe. So if you march in there, not only are you just--you're gonna look like a fool, you're gonna humiliate me, and I already feel really stupid, so please, brady, just leave it alone, okay?

Chloe: Are you expecting someone?

Stefan: No. No why?

Chloe: Oh, well, you just keep looking at the door.

Stefan: I--I could have sworn I heard voices before.

Chloe: Oh, well, brady came by, he wanted to check on me.

Stefan: Oh, that--that must have been it.

Chloe: Yeah, listen, I'm gonna call my mom. I want to give her an update on holly, okay?

Stefan: Yeah, yeah. What'd you tell brady about us?

Gabi: I told him everything.

Nicole: Sarah, thank you for standing up for me. But when it comes to victor, it's just useless because he hates my guts.

Sarah: I know that you two have your history, but he has no right to talk to you that way.

Nicole: Maybe he's right. Maybe it is my karma coming back around and--but I just hate that my sins are being taken out on my daughter.

Sarah: No, I don't believe that for a second. I think that holly got caught up in a bad situation, which you didn't even know about.

Nicole: Right. I mean, I had no idea what was going on with my own daughter.

Sarah: Nicole, you almost died. And then you did everything in your power to make it back to her, and you did. Have you heard anything from the police?

Nicole: Just that the D.A. Is trying to make a deal with this cartel guy. They said they would send him back to mexico if he would call the kidnapper to...to give holly back. But there's no guarantee that that's really gonna happen.

Sarah: Okay. Let's get you cleaned up, and then we will regroup.

Nicole: Okay.

Eric: Yeah, go ahead.

Rex: Sarah and nicole got really close. Talked on the phone almost every single day when nicole was staying at sarah's place in nashville.

Eric: You're talking about xander.

Rex: Yeah, look, man, sarah feels awful. Guilty and embarrassed. I think it's time that you try to let that go.

Eric: Rex, what are you talking about?

Rex: I overheard sarah talking to your mom earlier at the hospital. And sarah was saying that you're still angry with her for her one-night-stand with xander.

Eric: Right.

Rex: Look... enough is enough. It was a one-time mistake. Can you just drop it?

Eric: Yeah.

Nicole: I missed a call from hope. I need to get back to her.

[Line ringing] Hope, I'm sorry I missed your call. What's going on?

Hope: Nicole, you need to get down here right away. We have news.

[Tense music]

Ted: Hello? Anyone here?

You followed me?

Rafe: Yeah, genius. You're damn right I did.

Ted: You gotta leave now. Hector's associate is gonna come in any minute. If he knows there's a cop here--

[Phone rings]

Rafe: What?

Ted: Too late. That's him.

Rafe: Huh.

Gabi: As in I made up a big, fat lie, and of course it was mortifying, even though it wasn't as mortifying as admitting that I--let's not talk about that. I told him that I threw myself on you and that you rejected me.

Stefan: Brady thinks that you hate me. Why would he believe that you threw yourself at me?

Gabi: Well, because even though I told him I think you're a disgusting, pathetic excuse for a human being, I somehow am insanely attracted to you.

Stefan: And he bought that?

Gabi: Well, if anybody understands having the hots for somebody in your freaky family, it's brady. I mean, he did fall for your twisted sister.

Stefan: That's true, but I'm nothing like kristen.

Gabi: Well, why don't we take a moment and think about that.

Stefan: Okay, so you--you would rather have brady think that you are some total reject loser as opposed to having him think that we...

Gabi: Yeah, yes! Yes, I do, okay? Because I knew that as soon as I told brady the truth, he'd go and tell chloe, and chloe's all upset about holly. I didn't want to add to her pain, especially because whatever happened between us is never gonna happen again.

Stefan: Right. Well, uh, thanks for taking the bullet on this one.

Gabi: Yeah, well, what are frenemies for?

[Door closes]

[Elevator dings]

Brady: Marlena.

Marlena: Oh, hi.

Brady: Hi.

Marlena: What are you doing down here?

Brady: I came to see will, actually.

Marlena: Oh, oh, I'm afraid he's asleep. He just finished with his radiation.

Brady: I'm sorry I missed him, I've been preoccupied.

Marlena: Hmm, with holly. What's new?

Brady: Last I heard, the D.A. Was trying to negotiate with this cartel guy to get holly back, but--I assume you-- did you hear about nicole?

Marlena: Oh, I did. Sarah told me. I mean, that's incredible.

Brady: I know, I know, it's crazy. She's alive and she's here, and her daughter isn'T.

Marlena: I just checked in with eric to let him know that john and I will do anything that we can to help. And I'm sure that hope is very busy trying to find holly.

Brady: Yeah, well, let's pray that's enough.

Nicole: Hope, what is going on?

Hope: The D.A. Is on his way to meet hector's contact, who's gonna hand over holly.

Eric: And there's cops standing by to grab the guy, right?

Hope: No.

Nicole: No? What--

Hope: Hector made it very clear, he told ted to come alone, no police presence. Otherwise the deal is off.

Nicole: Oh, my god. Oh, my god.

Eric: It's okay, it's okay.

Nicole: Hope, please tell me this is gonna work.

Hope: I'm gonna find out any second. I'll be right back.

[Phone rings]

Ted: Ted laurent. Yes, yes, I'm hector's contact. No, of course I'm alone. No, no, no, there's no one else with me. No, there's no cops. No, you--

Rafe: What happened?

Ted: He hung up!

[Baby crying]

Rafe: Holly.

[Car engine starts] He's got her!

[Speaking french]

Rex: You laying into victor earlier, that was-- that was pretty impressive.

Sarah: I saved that old goat's life last thanksgiving, but I'm starting to regret it. How could my mom marry such a jerk?

Rex: Maggie must see something very special in him. I'm not defending victor right now. Love is love.

Sarah: Well, I'm not feeling it, not for that fool anyway.

Rex: Well, the same way your mom feels about me. She doesn't like me, she doesn't want you to marry me, but it's not up to her, is it?

Sarah: No, it's not.

Rex: I, uh, had a little chat with eric when you were with nicole.

Sarah: About what?

Rex: You and xander.

Sarah: Rex!

Rex: I know, I'm sorry. I said I was gonna let you handle it, but you were in such bad shape about it, I felt like I needed to do something, but look, he said that he forgives you, and he's not angry with you anymore.

Sarah: [Sighs]

Rex: I just hope you're not angry with me.

Sarah: I'm not.

Rex: That's good. You know what else is good? Everybody is with who they're supposed to be with. You and me, and eric and nicole. I'm telling you, once holly is found, those two are gonna be walking right down the aisle.

Sarah: They won't be the only ones. I know that we set a date, but maybe we can make it sooner.

Rex: Really?

Sarah: As soon as holly comes home, we should do it. Right away. What do you say?

Rex: That sounds like a plan.

Gabi: Forget brady. I don't need him or anybody else to take down stefan dimera. I've been doing fine on my own, and now that I've got that dishy fish on my hook, I'm gonna reel him in, gut him, toss back his sad, worthless remains.

[Tense music]

Stefan: So did you get ahold of your mom?

Chloe: Yeah, she's as upset as I am. I just wish I had news, good news.

Hope: Excuse me one second. Hey, rafe, I can't talk right now, I'm waiting for news about holly.

Rafe: Yeah, that's why I'm calling. I was pursuing the kidnapper.

Hope: What do you mean, you were pursuing? You're not supposed to be anywhere near this. What the hell is going on?

Rafe: There's been a terrible accident.
