Episode #13518 ~ Ted's true intentions are made clear. Sarah interrupts Eric and Nicole's reunion with terrible news. Nicole lashes out at Chloe over Holly's kidnapping. Hope realizes Ben and Ciara have taken their relationship to the next level.

Maggie: Sweetheart?

Sarah: Mom, hi.

Maggie: Well, this is a surprise. I thought you were spending the night at rex'S.

Sarah: [Sighs] Yeah, I was. And then, um... the craziest thing happened.

Maggie: Well, let me guess. You and rex had another fight. So just tell me. What did the jerk do this time?

Rex: Appreciate the vote of confidence, maggie. But for once, this jerk didn't do anything wrong.

Nicole: Are you staring at me?

Eric: Yes, I am.

[Nicole laughs] I'm just afraid if I take my eyes off you, even if it's just for a minute, you may disappear.

Nicole: Do you feel this?

Eric: Yeah.

Nicole: Well, get used to it. I'm here. I'm real. And we're finally going to be together. And after all this time, things are exactly as they should be.

Stefan: Hey. We're going to find holly. This will be nothing but a bad dream.

Chloe: Oh, if something happens to that little girl...

Stefan: We're going to find her. And before you know it, she'll be back in your arms. I promise. Okay?

Hope: How're you holding up?

Chloe: Hey, did you find anything?

Hope: Nothing yet. I'm just headed back to the station, see if I can get anything else out of hector. But before I do, stefan, I'd like to have access to your security footage.

Stefan: Yeah, yeah. Whatever you need. Just find holly and bring her home.

Ted: You here? Xander, I--

Xander: Shh! You don't want to wake the little one, do you?

Ted: Look at her. She has no idea what's happening. Sound asleep.

Xander: Like a baby.

Ted: While chloe must be going out of her mind.

[Sighs] I can't believe you-- you pulled this off, man.

Xander: Don't sell yourself short, mon ami. I couldn't have done it without you.

Male announcer: Like sands through the hourglass, so are the "days of our lives."

[Soft orchestration]

Ciara: [Sighs]

[Knock at door]

Both: Hi.

Ciara: Oh, my gosh. Ben, what-- what happened to you?

Ben: I must've searched every inch of this estate trying to find any clue where holly's kidnapper might have taken her.

Ciara: And?

Ben: Nothing. Not yet, anyway. I-- I don't know. I just came back here to tell you not to wait up. I'm probably gonna be working most of the night.

Ciara: Yeah, well, finding holly is the only thing that matters right now.

Ben: I know, but I'm sorry. I just--I wish I could've stayed with you for the night, you know? It was-- it was our first time. I wanted to make it special; just hold you in my arms all night long...

Ciara: It was special. Really special. And besides, you know, there's always tomorrow night. Okay, right now you just need to do everything you can to find holly. Oh, my gosh. Just imagining her out there all alone, so scared, ben-- I know exactly what that little girl is going through.

[Sighs] And I can only imagine how worried her mother must be.

Hope: I know there's nothing I can say that-- I promise you... I'm doing everything in my power to find your little girl.

Chloe: I know you are, hope. Thank you.

Hope: Excuse me.

Stefan: Hey. Why don't I take you upstairs? You can lie down, get some rest.

Chloe: [Sniffles] I'm not gonna be able to. My mind just keeps spinning, like maybe there's something I missed.

Stefan: Yeah, but you can at least try.

Chloe: God. Uh, no. There's something I have to do.

Stefan: What is it? Whatever it is, I can take care of it for you.

Chloe: Oh, I wish you could. I've been dreading this. I was hoping we'd find holly first, but...

Stefan: What is it?

Chloe: [Sighs] Maggie.

[Sighs] I have to tell her her granddaughter is missing.

Maggie: I'm sorry, rex. I didn't know you were here.

Rex: Yeah, that was kind of obvious.

Maggie: Well, either way, I shouldn't have resorted to name calling. But, my bad behavior aside, I'm still not sure I believe your claim that you didn't do anything wrong.

Sarah: He didn't, mom.

Maggie: No? Well, then why are you so upset?

Sarah: I'm not upset. I'm just... I'm trying to process some incredible news.

Maggie: What news?

Sarah: You are not gonna believe this, 'cause... I know it was hard for me to believe. Nicole... is alive.

Nicole: I want to amend my statement earlier.

Eric: Okay. Does this need to go on record?

Nicole: I want it official. Things are almost as they should be. And they will be, once I'm holding holly in my arms again.

Eric: Baby.

Nicole: When I think about all the time we lost together...

Eric: Are you sure you don't want to go see her tonight?

Nicole: No. I--I can'T. I mean, if she woke up and I'm standing right there-- I just don't want to confuse her. And as much as I am dying to see my little girl tonight, I, uh... I can wait. I can wait until tomorrow. And in the morning, I will finally reunite with my precious daughter.

Eric: Come here. I'm just a normal person who got an awful skin condition.

Ben: All right. I gotta get back out there.

Ciara: Like that?

Ben: Yes.

Ciara: No. No, no, no, no, no. You've gotta shower and put on some dry clothes.

Ben: No, I don't have time. I gotta go.

Ciara: Come on, please? No, no, no. It'll take, like, ten minutes. Come on, please? For me? I just-- I really don't want you to get sick. For me? Please?

Ben: Okay. For you. I'll be right back.

Ciara: Go.

[Knock at door]

Ciara: Mom. Um... what are you doing here?

Ben: Hey, I don't suppose you'd want to join me in the shower maybe?

Maggie: No. No, no, no. You're mistaken. Nicole died. She-- she died in the fire.

Sarah: She made it out somehow, mom. We didn't--we didn't press her for details.

Maggie: [Sobs] So you saw her?

Sarah: I saw her. She was standing right in front of us.

Rex: Yeah, she just showed up at the apartment, looking for eric.

Maggie: [Sobs] Oh, my god. Holly, she's finally gonna have her mother back. Yes.

Rex: There's a lot of people that are gonna be thrilled to have nicole alive and back in salem and home. I mean, especially my brother.

Maggie: [Panting] So... eric knows?

Rex: Yeah, yeah. He's with her now. I don't think I've ever seen him so happy. After all this time, he still loves her.

[Door clicks shut]

Chloe: Maggie--

Maggie: Chloe?

Chloe: Hey, I'm so sorry for coming here so late, but I have to talk to you.

Maggie: Well, I actually have to talk to you, too.

Chloe: I don't know how to tell you this.

Maggie: What is it? What--what's wrong?

Chloe: It's holly. She's missing.

Maggie: Missing?

Xander: Gotta thank you for keeping me updated on chloe's whereabouts-- not to mention being my eyes and ears in salem.

Ted: Well, don't thank me yet. 'Cause keeping you updated on the local gossip is one thing. Helping you kidnap a kid? No, even I have to draw the line somewhere.

Xander: You've got nothing to worry about, mate. I'll make sure holly's well taken care of. We used to be old friends, remember? Her first words were practically "step-dada."

Ted: I don't care how close you are. You're ripping her away from chloe and the home she was living in for months--

Xander: Relax. Haven't you heard? Kids are resilient. Besides, it's not like we're taking her away from her real mother.

Nicole: So... have you spent much time with holly?

Eric: Yeah. Actually, I have. I-- you know the, um... you know what? The last time that I spent with her, I took a lot of pictures of her at the park. You wanna see 'em?

Nicole: Do you even have to ask?

Eric: Okay, they're right-- um... oh, right there.

Nicole: Oh, my goodness.

[Gasps] Oh, my gosh. She's grown so much.

Eric: Yeah. She has. It was the first warm summer day we had. So I took her to the park, and she loves to swing.

Nicole: She's still the same beautiful little girl.

Eric: She's your beautiful little girl.

Nicole: [Sighs] She must have been so scared. You know, just for me to disappear all of a sudden, having no idea what happened to me...

Eric: [Sighs] Yeah, it was tough for a while. But maggie, chloe, sarah and I, we... we let her know how much she was loved. Now she's with her brother.

Nicole: Knowing she was surrounded by family does make me feel much better. And how about you? How have you been, my darling?

Eric: [Sighs] It was, um... it was tough, just the idea of not seeing you and holding you. It took some time to rebuild my life. But I did. And here I am now.

Nicole: Well, I'm glad. Because I know how easy it is for you to close yourself off to the world. So I'm grateful that you had your brother rex and sarah.

Eric: Yeah. Um... yeah, you know, sarah and I, we're, um... we've actually become good friends.

Nicole: Well, she's great. She helped so much when I left town, you know, letting me stay at her place with holly...

Eric: That's good, yeah. Well, I'm glad she was there for you.

Sarah: Chloe, what are you talking about?

Maggie: How could holly be missing?

Chloe: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. She's only been missing a few hours, and we were hoping we'd find her by now and wouldn't have to worry you...

Rex: Chloe, chloe, listen. Just tell us exactly what happened.

Chloe: I don't know. She was asleep in my bed. I went to check on her, and she was fine. I went back again, and she was just gone. Stefan and I and the cops, we've searched the entire estate, and there's just no sign of her. We think maybe the cartel kidnapped her.

Maggie: Oh, my god...

Chloe: I'm sorry. I feel like this is all my fault. You trusted me to take care of your granddaughter, to protect her. And nicole trusted me to raise her as my own when she couldn't, and now I've failed her.

Maggie: [Sobs]

Sarah: Chloe, we have to tell you something.

[Phone rings]

Chloe: Ok--hold on. Might be the police. No, it's my mom. She's in new york. I have to fill her in on what happened.

Maggie: Of course.

Sarah: Mom, I am so sorry...

Maggie: [Sobs] Don't worry about me. Someone has got to tell nicole.

Sarah: I will do it. Are you okay?

Maggie: I'm fine. Thank you. Thank you.

Rex: Sarah, I can-- I can go with you.

Sarah: No, no. Um... stay here. Please just tell chloe about nicole.

Rex: You sure about that?

Maggie: Yeah.

Sarah: And if you have-- if you hear anything, just call me, please.

Maggie: Bye.

Both: Hi.

Hope: [Stammers]

Ciara: Um, it's, uh... it's fine. Did you-- did you come here to see me?

Hope: No. No, uh... ben. I-- actually need to talk to ben.

Ciara: Right, ben.

Hope: Yes. Ben lives here.

Ciara: Right.

Hope: Stefan gave me permission to access the estate's security footage. One of the guards told me you could-- you could help with that, ben.

Ben: Yeah, I can. Um... let me just get dressed, and I will get you those access codes.

Hope: Good idea. You're having sex?

Xander: Payment for services rendered.

Ted: You don't mind if I count it, do you?

Xander: You don't trust me?

Ted: In a word? No.

Xander: Hmm.

[Gasps] Well, that is quite the bauble. Intended for hope brady?

Ted: [Chuckles] Not that it's your business, but yes.

Xander: You know, I have to admit, I wasn't thrilled when I found out you were romantically pursuing the police commissioner. Really hope it's not going to interfere with the business at hand.

Maggie: If a cartel has my granddaughter... dear god.

Rex: Maggie, maggie, maggie. Look. Listen to me. The police are doing everything in their power. They are gonna find holly. Okay?

Maggie: [Sobbing, gasping]

Chloe: Where's sarah?

Rex: She went to eric's to tell him.

Chloe: Oh, god. He was the next person that I wanted to tell.

Rex: Chloe, listen. There's--there's something you need to know. Sarah didn't just go to eric's to tell eric. Somebody else needs to know about holly.

Chloe: Who? What are you-- what are you talking about?

Rex: It's nicole. She's alive.

Sarah: Eric...

Eric: Sarah.

Sarah: Where's nicole?

Eric: She's getting ready for bed.

Sarah: Okay, that's good. Maybe it's better that we're alone. I really, really need to talk to you.

Eric: I'm sorry we didn't get to do everything we talked about before in telling rex about our feelings,

Sarah: No, no, it's okay. Nicole being back, it changes everything. It's a miracle. I know how much you love her. But that's not why I'm here. Eric, something really terrible has happened.

Eric: All right. What is it?

Sarah: Chloe came by the house, and she said that holly's missing and that she may have been kidnapped.

Eric: What?

Nicole: What?

Ciara: Okay, mom, I, uh... know that this isn't-- this isn't exactly what you wanted. But... after everything that ben and i have been through, mama, you really can't be too surprised.

Hope: Right, uh, sure.

Ciara: No, mom, we've been together for a while now, and... I just--I-- I felt that I was ready to take the next step with him. Mom, despite your feelings about ben and your doubts about him, I just... I'm asking you to please, please understand-- try to understand that he makes me so, so happy. Like, I've never felt this way about anybody before. Mom, when he and i are alone together, I see this kind, amazing, genuine person; somebody who actually respects me, somebody who believes in me, just like I believe in him, you know? And... gosh, this is gonna be so hard for you to hear and even harder for me to say, but... I just keep thinking about daddy and what you told me about how it was when you two first fell in love; how at first, grandpa doug didn't like him, but eventually he came around. And eventually he saw that daddy had a heart of gold. But most importantly, he saw how crazy in love dad was with you and you with him. He saw that you guys were soul mates, that you guys belonged together.

Hope: Don'T. Okay? I'm gonna tell you this once. Don't ever compare ben to your father. Not ever, ciara.

Ciara: I'm sorry.

Hope: You know that your dad would not approve of this.

Ciara: Maybe, yeah. But you know, uh... you know who else daddy wouldn't approve of?

Hope: Who?

Ciara: Ted laurent.

Xander: Problem?

Ted: This is not the amount we agreed on for this assignment.

Xander: You should consider that a down payment. You'll get the rest when you finish part two.

Ted: What's part two?

Xander: Well, obviously the kidnapping needs to get blamed on the drug cartel that's after chloe.

Ted: And how am i supposed to accomplish that?

Xander: Simple. One of their men is in police custody right now. His name is, uh... hector.

Ted: And?

Xander: And... and as D.A., You have access to the prisoner... and all the power and influence needed to convince him to take the fall for holly's kidnapping.

Ted: Xander, are you joking? Hector? All he cares about is to save his own skin. Why would he confess to a crime he did not commit?

Xander: Glad you asked. I used to run in the same circles as his old boss. I'll give you all the info you need to persuade him.

Ted: And what happens when he start to sing like a canary; tells everyone that his friendly neighborhood D.A. Wants him to take the blame for a crime he did not commit? No. Yo, I'm not doing this. That's it. I'm not doing this.

Chloe: Wait. How can that be true? Nicole is alive?

Maggie: Apparently. I just found out myself.

Rex: Sarah and i just saw her.

Chloe: Oh, my god. I can't believe it.

Maggie: I was so thrilled for her and holly. I couldn't wait for that little girl to see her mother again, and--and now...

[Moans] You know, I can't just stand around here worrying. I got-- I've got to do something.

Chloe: Maggie, the police are doing everything they can.

Maggie: I don't think they would turn down some help, okay? I'm gonna tell victor, and then he will be happy to offer his resources.

Chloe: Oh, my god. So wait. You saw nicole?

Rex: Yeah.

Chloe: Where has she been this entire time? Why hasn't she tried to contact us? How did she survive that explosion?

Rex: [Stammers] Look. I'm sorry. I didn't wanna bombard her with so many questions. But you know what? She's with eric right now. I can take you over there.

Chloe: No. I can'T.

Rex: Why not?

Chloe: Well, if the cartel did kidnap holly, then it's my fault that nicole lost her daughter. I wouldn't be able to look my friend in the eye again.

Nicole: Holly was kidnapped? What are you talking about?

Sarah: Someone broke in to the dimera mansion, and they took holly from her bed.

Nicole: The dimera mansion? What the hell was she doing there?

Eric: Chloe and holly, they've been staying with stefan dimera.

Nicole: Stefano?

Eric: Not stefano. Stefan. His son.

Nicole: His son? Okay, you know what? I don't even care. Just tell me, do they have any leads?

Sarah: It doesn't seem like it. But the police are involved, and they are looking everywhere for her.

Nicole: Oh, I'm glad they're involved. Oh, my god. I can't believe this is happening.

Eric: Listen to me. Let me--let me just make some phone calls; see what I can find out. We're gonna find her. I promise.

Nicole: Well, I have to do something. No, I'm going over there myself.

Eric: Nicole, you're not in any condition.

Nicole: Well, I'm not just gonna sit here. I need answers.

Eric: All right, then I'm gonna take you.

Sarah: Nicole, I am so, so sorry. Please, if there's anything that I can do, just let me know. Fact is, every insurance company hopes you drive safely.

Rex: Chloe, this is not your fault, okay? The only person to blame is the person who took holly.

Chloe: But nicole trusted me to protect that little girl, to raise her as my own. I just never should have let her out of my sight. I shouldn't have let my guard down!

Rex: [Stammers] Listen. You--you've done everything in your power to protect your family. There's no way in hell you could have predicted every possible scenario. Nobody could.

Chloe: God, nicole must've been so excited to finally be reunited with her daughter after all of this time. And now, she gets to come home to one of the worst nightmares any parent can ever face.

[Door slams]

Eric: Stefan.

Stefan: Hey.

Nicole: Where's chloe?

Stefan: Chlo-- I'm sorry. Aren't you nicole walker? I could've sworn--

Nicole: Yeah, okay. I'm very much alive. And I need to speak to chloe. I need to know what happened to my daughter.

Stefan: I'm sorry, she's not here.

Eric: All right, then you fill us in.

Stefan: Yeah, yeah. Chloe and I were having a dinner date here in the house, and at some point, somebody must've broken in and kidnapped holly. I have no idea how--

Nicole: Weren't you watching her?

Stefan: Yes, we checked on her right before dinner and right after. It must've happened very quickly.

Nicole: [Sighs] Well, do you have any idea who could've done it?

[Stammers] I mean, some enemy of your family?

Stefan: I have no idea. Our best guess, it must be some sort of retribution against chloe from the drug cartel.

Nicole: What? What drug cartel?

Xander: Do I need to remind you that you work for me?

Ted: I'm not risking my freedom, damn it. No way.

Xander: You won't be risking anything.

Ted: What is this?

Xander: Everything you need to convince hector to cooperate.

Ted: This is a bad idea.

Xander: [Chuckles] Since when has that ever stopped you? Come on. Drop this charade, ted. We both know you're gonna do this. And not just because I'm paying you handsomely, but also because you don't want hope to find out you're not quite so reformed after all. Am I right?

Hope: Why did you bring up ted? You're angry with me because I told you not to compare ben to your dad.

Ciara: What? No. No, that is not why I brought up ted. I brought up ted because he's coming between you and rafe, and I don't like that, mom. Okay? I actually hate that. I--[Sighs]

Hope: Honey.

Ciara: I just don't want to see you get hurt. That's all.

Hope: Thank you. But I don't worry. I'm good. I'm fine. You know your mama can take care of herself.

Ciara: Hmm. And, uh... you know your baby girl can take care of herself too. Right? So maybe... we should just start trusting each other's judgment? Maybe?

Ben: [Clears throat] I can go get you those access codes now. I just gotta go get my laptop.

Hope: That'd be great. I appreciate that, ben.

Ciara: Thanks, mom. I love you so much.

Hope: I love you too, baby. Presenting downtherecare with cottonelle.

Ben: So... how did it go with your mom?

Ciara: She knows we slept together.

Ben: Seriously?

Ciara: Yeah.

Ben: I'm really surprised I'm still in one piece.

Ciara: Yeah, well, she certainly wasn't thrilled. But... I think I calmed her down... at least a little bit.

Ben: [Sighs] Ciara, I'm sorry. I hate that our relationship comes between you and your mom.

Ciara: Hey, it's fine. It is not your fault at all. It's just because she's really overprotective. And I'm starting to understand, because I'm feeling that way about her. So--

Ben: About ted laurent, you mean?

Ciara: Yeah. Yeah, ted laurent. Whatever. God, oh, my gosh. I just--I don't understand. Ben, I don't get it. Why on earth would my mom trust a guy like that? After everything she's been through?

[Knock at door]

Hope: Come in.

[Sighs]

Ted: Wow. What's got you so preoccupied?

Hope: Viewing security footage from the dimera property.

Ted: Any leads on the kidnapping?

Hope: Not so far. You know what? I'm gonna question hector again.

Ted: I don't think that's a good idea.

Eric: I do have feelings for you. Oh, my god. I don't get it. I don't understand. I was there. I saw what happened. I prayed to god for you.

Nicole: God must have heard you.

Eric: God, I've been trying to live with the idea of never seeing you or holding you. My god, I love you.

[Glass shatters]

Sarah: [Sobbing]

Rex: The hell? Sarah? What was that crash? Are you okay, honey?

Eric: Nicole, the drug cartel followed chloe from mexico, and that is why she and the kids are living with stefan.

Nicole: For protection.

Stefan: Yes, I--look. I doubled the amount of guards around the property. I made sure there was 24-hour surveillance. But these cartel guys they're relentless. Just recently, they made another attempt on chloe's life.

Nicole: Oh my god. Well, where are they now?

Eric: One's been killed. The other's in custody.

Stefan: The police have assured us the threat was over. Obviously that's not accurate. Hope's been questioning the suspect in custody. He insists that he and his men had nothing to do with holly's kidnapping.

Nicole: Then if not the cartel, then who? Who would want to take my daughter?

Stefan: I don't know. But I promise you, we will find her.

Nicole: [Sighs] She must be so scared.

Eric: Hey. Holly is resilient. She's gonna be okay.

Stefan: He's right. I've spent a lot of time with her. She is one tough little girl. Very brave.

Chloe: Nicole! Oh, my god. I can't believe it. You're really here. Thank god.

Nicole: Get your hands off me! You were supposed to look after holly. And now she's missing, and it's your fault! Tremfya® can help adults with moderate to severe

Ben: All right, I should head back out there.

Ciara: Call me if you need anything, okay?

Ben: I'll be fine. I'm sorry for abandoning you tonight.

Ciara: Hey. I know you'll be back.

Ben: As soon as I can.

Ciara: Mm. I'll be waiting. Bye.

Hope: Why shouldn't i question hector again?

Ted: Well, you can, of course, but why don't you let me get a crack at it? The man wants a deal, and I can give it to him. I know I can make him talk.

Hope: All right. It's worth a try. I'll have him brought up.

Ted: Great.

[Sighs]

Xander: Hey, partner. It's me. Everything went smoothly. Holly is sleeping peacefully. Give me a call when you get this message, and we can discuss the next step of our plan.

[Phone beeps]

Rex: Sarah, are you okay?

Sarah: I'm fine. I'm sorry. I just keep thinking that everything felt like it was so perfect, and now...

Rex: Look, I know things are very dark right now. But we cannot give up hope. We have to believe that in the end everything is gonna be okay. Come here.

Stefan: Chloe loves your daughter, nicole. She's not to blame.

Nicole: The hell she isn't! You knew people were after you and you knew holly could be in danger, and yet you and stefan thought tonight would be a great night to have a dinner date?

Chloe: We thought the threat was over...

Nicole: Well, obviously it wasn't!

Eric: Calm down, please.

Nicole: No, I am not gonna calm down! Because my daughter is missing. And yet again, chloe was only thinking of herself and hooking up with the latest dimera bastard.

Chloe: That's not true!

Nicole: And because of that, you let some stranger take my daughter! I swear to god, chloe, if anything happens to holly, her blood will be on your hands!

Chloe: [Sobbing]

[Chloe continues sobbing]
