Maggie: [Laughs] Ah! Well, what did you make, $1 million? Or did something terrible happen to a friend?

Victor: Oh, I'm reading something very beautiful. Sonny's annulment papers.

Maggie: Again? Why don't you have them framed?

Victor: Good idea. I could have them framed, and shove them up--

Maggie: Ah.

Victor: Well, let's not talk about leo.

Maggie: Yeah, let's not. The little jerk.

Victor: Yes, that little jerk put a curse on this whole family. Well, now that curse is lifted.

Gabi: Leo put a curse on you?

Will: Yeah. A "mati."

Gabi: Wow. Class act right to the end.

Sonny: Hey, gabi, do you happen to have any frankincense on you by chance? Or any, um, any h--"hyssop"?

Gabi: What?

Sonny: Yeah, if will puts it in his bathwater, it'll remove the hex. Because the pretty little necklace I got him doesn't seem to be doing the trick, which is kind of a surprise.

Will: Hm. He refuses to take this seriously.

Sonny: Because it's kind of ridiculous.

Will: Yeah, so ridiculous that I ended up in the hospital.

Sonny: Because we want to make sure you weren't poisoned, and you weren'T.

Gabi: Well, why is he still in the hospital then?

Sonny: Well, he had some tests done, and we're just waiting on the lab.

Will: Yeah, they're keeping me here as a precaution.

Gabi: Right, but if it is a curse, then they're not gonna find anything.

Sonny: For the love of god, there is no such thing as a curse. Will is fine. Leo is just screwing with us.

[Sighs] The hell is keeping the lab?!

Will: The curse seems to be working.

Chloe: Julie, no, I will not sign off on that, and that is final. Okay, bye. Ugh! I swear, that woman wants to turn doug's place into a retirement home. Next thing you know, we're gonna have bingo night.

Stefan: Whoo, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

Chloe: No, that woman just gets on my nerves.

Stefan: Well, you cover beautifully.

Chloe: Okay, I'm sorry that I'm not some ray of sunshine. There's a drug cartel after me and my kids; I didn't sleep very well. And a rose on a breakfast tray isn't gonna make things better.

Actually, I do have an update.

Brady: Where the hell have you been?

Eric: Well, isn't someone a little anxious to continue blackmailing me?

Brady: I'm not blackmailing you, I'm just giving you a choice. Either help me get chloe out of stefan's house, or I'm gonna tell rex about you and sarah.

Eric: So I have a choice. To be or not to be blackmailed. Well, I choose not to be.

Brady: Okay. So you don't care if I go and tell rex that you've been making out with his fiancé.

Eric: No, go ahead. But be aware it's not gonna have quite the same impact as you're expecting. Rex already knows.

[Tense music]

Eric: Why wouldn't rex be able to trust you? Is this about what happened with xander? It was a mistake, and we all know that's not gonna happen again.

Sarah: I'm not talking about xander.

Eric: What are you talking about?

Sarah: Listening to my heart.

[Sighs] Hope I did the right thing. Rex: Right thing about what?

Sarah: [Laughs]

Rex: Put that ring on your finger?

Male announcer: Like sands through the hourglass, so are the "days of our lives."

[Soft orchestration]

Gabi: So, hold on, you just passed out cold just like that?

Well, no, not just like that. It was preceded by a killer headache, which sonny thought was psychosomatic-- that leo freaked me out so much that I just made it up. But I didn't, I swear. My head hurt like hell, and sonny went to get me some aspirin, I got up, and the next thing I remember, I'm--I'm lying on a gurney, and J.J. And another emt are hovering over me, and sonny's looking all panicky.

Gabi: Sounds scary.

Will: Yeah, it was. Never fainted before. It was a strange feeling.

Gabi: Well, I mean, sometimes I get really light-headed when I go on one of those diets I go on. Did you eat?

Will: Oh, yeah. I had a big breakfast. I had a smoothie. I had a sandwich for lunch.

Gabi: Are you over-tired?

Will: No. Even if I were, like, who faints from being over-tired? If anything, maybe I'd yawn a lot or have trouble focusing, but I mean, to pass out?

Gabi: Yeah, yeah. It does sound a little bit weird. Did you work out way too hard or something? Will: No. I was a slug all day. And of course, I did an internet search of, you know, what could cause a person to--

Gabi: Oh!

Will: To pass out.

Gabi: What a mistake. That's a mistake.

Will: No, no, no, no. It was actually very enlightening. You probably know this, but fainting, also known as syncope, is a sudden, temporary loss of consciousness and posture caused by decreased blood flow to the brain.

Gabi: Right, yeah, that's exactly what I thought it was, but you cannot go online when you have physical symptoms. You cannot. Even if you search "stuffed nose," you're gonna find a link that says it's fatal.

Will: That is true. However, there are some reputable medical sites out there, and I was on one of them, and it told me that, uh, passing out suddenly, what happened to me, can be caused by heart problems or brain problems.

Gabi: Hm. Well, I don't know anything about your heart other than it's big. And soft and kind. You know what I do know? I know that you're still the same very funny, very smart, very annoying guy that I know. And if there is something going on with your brain, then it's no big deal.

Will: Yeah, thanks. You know, it also could be dehydration or stress, which would explain the headaches, although, uh, hyperventilation usually proceeds according--

Okay, you know what, you need to stop right now. You have to stop searching online. You have to stop right now. You're never gonna search again.

Will: No, no searching? No internet? What if I need to search a recipe or, like, a handyman? Or a plumber or electrician?

Gabi: All right, all right, okay, so no fainting and no headaches.

Will: And no stuffed noses.

Gabi: And no stuffed noses, yes. Will, you're gonna be fine. I know that. Wanna know why I know that? 'Cause you need to be fine. For me. For your little girl. Everybody that loves you. You're not gonna let us down. You understand?

Will: I do. I will not let you down. Promise.

Chloe: You have an update? What does that mean?

Stefan: Ben got a tip from somebody who claims he can identify the men who shot at the house.

Chloe: And you called the police, right?

Stefan: I'm not sure how credible the source is, so i didn't want to jump the gun. But trust me, I'm on it.

Chloe: I know. And I'm-- I'm sorry for the attitude. I'm just frustrated.

Stefan: I get it. You're going through a lot. Trust me when I say I'm gonna take care of this for you. And when I do, maybe I'll finally get to take you out on that date.

Chloe: I'm not sure that that date will live up to your expectations at this point.

Stefan: Oh, I disagree. I think it'll be well worth the wait.

[Warm music]

Rex: Sarah, honey, I told you yesterday, if you need more time to think about this--

Sarah: No, I--I don'T. I don't need more time, rex. I said yes and I meant it. I want to marry you.

Rex: That's good to know.

Sarah: I was--I was just wondering if I should have told you about the whole eric thing is all, that's--

Rex: I am in no position to get all huffy over a kiss.

Sarah: But he's your brother.

Rex: Yeah. Did I want it it to happen? No. But it did, and I'm-- I'm trying to look at the bright side and say maybe it-- maybe it's a good thing that it happened. Maybe it had to happen for you to get over him and move on.

Sarah: Thank you for understanding.

Rex: I'm so understanding. I'm, like, a woke male. I'm okay with the whole thing. Can we talk about something else, please?

Sarah: Mm-hmm.

Rex: Or someone else. Anybody else.

Sarah: How about-- how about we talk about us?

Rex: That sounds good.

Sarah: Yeah?

Rex: Talk about being, like, an old married couple together.

Sarah: Mm-hmm.

Rex: Oh my god, I can't wait.

Sarah: [Giggles]

Brady: Mm-mm. You're bluffing.

Eric: Go ahead. Call rex.

[Tense music]

Brady: You just had to do it, didn't you? You're so noble, you're so saintly, you just had to... confess to rex about what you did.

Eric: Actually, I didn't confess. Sarah told him. After I told her what you were up to. She didn't have a very high opinion of you either.

Brady: What happened? I mean, I'm sure rex wasn't thrilled about the fact that you've been making out with the love of his life.

Eric: Well, sarah told rex that she kissed me. She took full responsibility.

Brady: Did that actually make it okay with rex?

Eric: No, I'm sure he wasn't thrilled. But I'm sure it confirmed to him that after not after his girl sarah.

Brady: No, you're too high-minded to go after her. But that doesn't mean you don't love her, does it? So there you are with your depression

Brady: Come on, admit it. Once again, you're in love with your brother's woman.

Eric: Please help my mom through this.

[Solemn music]

And I will never allow myself to come between my brother... and the woman that he loves. Sarah's my friend, and that's all.

Brady: Whatever you say, man.

Eric: No, what I'm saying is that rex knows. Now you've got nothing on me. So we're done here.

Brady: Eric! Pl-- please. I admit I didn't go about this the right way, okay? But I need your help. You know damn well that chloe and holly are not safe in that man's house. Maybe you don't care. I don't know.

Eric: Of course I care! Brady, the bottom line is that nicole wanted chloe to raise holly.

Brady: Yeah, but it never entered nicole's mind that chloe would do something so foolish as to move in with the latest dimera sociopath-- and he's got holly in there with her!

Eric: That's chloe's call.

Brady: It's chloe's call. All right. Maybe it is, but I'll tell you what, if something happens to holly, it's on you.

[Foreboding music]

Rex: I like your outfit.

Sarah: [Giggles] You always were a big fan of me naked.

Rex: No. [Laughing] I'm talking about your engagement ring.

Sarah: Oh, this old thing? Some guy gave it to me.

Rex: Really?

Sarah: Mm-hmm.

Rex: He has impeccable taste.

Sarah: [Giggles]

Rex: Good taste in women too.

[Both laugh] How about I get you a wedding band to go with that?

Sarah: That's kind of the plan, isn't it?

Rex: So, is the plan... all kidding aside, I know how close I came to losing you. Because of everything that I did to you.

Sarah: Rex...

Rex: I was gonna say that I would've deserved it.

Sarah: [Laughs softly] Can you please just stop talking about the past and just concentrate on the future? Like, when do you want to get married?

Rex: I'm free during lunch.

Sarah: [Giggling]

Rex: I'm serious. I want to marry you as soon as possible.

Sarah: Well, we should probably tell our families first.

Rex: Yeah.

Sarah: I'm gonna go over to my mom's before work.

Rex: Okay. You want me come with?

Sarah: He said dutifully. No, I'm gonna handle it by myself.

Rex: I know she hates my guts. With good reason.

Sarah: No, she doesn't hate you.

Rex: Okay, fine, she hates the idea of you being saddled up with a jerk like me.

Sarah: Well, the way I see it she doesn't really get to say a word about the man I marry, considering she saddled herself up with victor kiriakis.

Maggie: So where's sonny? I want to congratulate him in person.

Victor: He's not here. He's at the hospital.

Maggie: What?!

Victor: Oh, will fainted or something.

Maggie: What? Why didn't you tell me?

Victor: Sonny didn't want anyone getting alarmed.

Maggie: Oh, well I think it's alarming that they kept him overnight at the hospital.

Victor: Sure it's nothing.

Maggie: Oh, thank you. Dr. Kiriakis.

Victor: Oh come on, it's will. You know how overly dramatic he gets.

Maggie: Was he overly dramatic when he died? Sometimes you drive me crazy.

Victor: That's what I'm here for.

Maggie: Ay-yi-yi.

[Sighs]

Will: You know sonny's just pretending not to buy the stuff about the curse. He's freaking out. I can tell.

Gabi: Well, he's probably afraid he's gonna lose you again.

Will: You know what I'd like to do when I get out of here? I want to track down leo, and i want to beat the crap out of him.

Gabi: Come on, will--shh.

Sonny: What a wonderful morning. The lab is still "working on it" and I just saw your grandma getting off the elevator.

Gabi: Oh, which one?

Kate: Will. You were admitted into the hospital last night and no one told me.

Roman: Yeah, will, we just came to cheer you up.

Kate: Honey, what happened? What's wrong?

Will: Oh, it, um... nothing serious. Nothing serious.

Kate: Okay, you're in the hospital, so that means it's serious. Sonny, why didn't you call me?

Sonny: I'm--I'm sorry.

Gabi: It's not his fault.

Kate: Okay, gabi, I'm concerned about will.

Sonny: Okay, why don't we just leave will alone with his family a minute?

Gabi: Yeah.

Roman: All right, will. The truth. Are you okay?

Eric: You don't think I care about holly's safety? Why the hell do you think I went to greece?

Brady: I know why you went to greece, eric.

Eric: Yeah, because I went there to save their lives. Your only concern for holly is because you hate that chloe's living in stefan's house.

Brady: Can you blame me?! Do you hear about what that guy did to abigail and gabi?

Eric: Yeah but this is more--

Brady: Why would you want chloe to be in that house?

Eric: Because this is more than worry about chloe's safety. You know that. We both know that!

Brady: Oh, I told you. I'll tell you again, chloe and I are just friends. Much in the way you and sarah are just friends. Right?

Eric: If you're so concerned about chloe's safety, then I think you need to rethink your tactics a bit. You know, 'cause giving her an ultimatum, lying to her... is only repeating what you did with nicole, and now she's dead.

Maggie: Can I get you some coffee?

Sarah: Yes, just a quick cup.

Victor: Oh, what a pity. And here I was looking forward to a nice, long chin-wag.

Sarah: So I have some news.

Maggie: Okay.

[Clears throat]

Sarah: I'm engaged!

Victor: In what?

Sarah: [Sighs]

Victor: Oh, you're engaged to be married. How lovely. Did xander knock you up that night?

Maggie: One more word out of you...

Sarah: You told him?!

Victor: Didn't have to tell me. I know everything that goes on under this roof.

Sarah: What, do you have surveillance cameras in the bedrooms?

Victor: What's it like down there at the bottom of the barrel? And no worry by using the room. I had henderson burn all the sheets that you used during your night of passion with my nephew.

Sarah: I am so moving out of here. So should you.

Maggie: I'm thinking about it, 'cause another word out of you... I guess that you accepted rex's proposal.

Victor: After he cheated on you twice? What kind of a glutton for punishment are you?

Will: Let's--let's be patient. Okay? The lab is just backed up, that's all.

Rex: Hi, buddy.

Roman: Hey.

Kate: Hey.

Rex: How you doing?

Will: Well, I'm not lonely. Are my tests back yet?

Rex: Just got 'em.

Kate: What did they say?

Will: What--oh, thank you. I would have forgotten to ask that.

Rex: As we told you, there were no traces of toxins in your system, so you definitely weren't poisoned.

Kate: You thought that you were poisoned?

Roman: It's been going around lately.

Rex: [Chuckles] And almost everything came back normal.

Kate: Okay, almost everything came back normal?

Rex: Oh, my god, mom, mom. I'm talking to my patient. Please. Thanks. You have a slightly elevated white blood cell count, which is no immediate cause for concern. Could be caused by a few things, like stress or infection or allergies, even. But we will need to run some more tests.

Will: What kind of tests?

Rex: Chest x-ray, blood and urine culture, and another cbc to check the white blood cells.

Will: [Stammers] Is that really necessary?

Kate: What?! Of course it's necessary. Honey, if there's something wrong, we want to find out what it is immediately.

[Somber music]

Gabi: What is kate's problem?

Sonny: I mean, do you expect her to treat you like family? After everything you've done?

Gabi: Oh, come on. I mean, she's done much worse. I mean, you wouldn't have been stuck married to leo if it wasn't for her.

Sonny: Yeah. That's over. Thank god. I mean, to be honest with you, I don't think I could've dealt with him for one more day. I just hated with someone that i despised and not seeing any way out.

Gabi: I get that. I get that. I mean, I'M... stuck like that with stefan. And I'm stuck with him actually thinking that I like him. What...

Sonny: Where's that coming from?

Gabi: I don't know. I don't know, he-- he loves to push my buttons.

Sonny: Well, it's obviously working, 'cause your buttons seem pushed to me.

Gabi: [Sighs] Sonny, I was just--you know, I was trying to get through to him, and then I...

Gabi: I kissed him.

Sonny: Of course you did. That's a good plan. I just have one question for you. How stupid are you?

Chloe: I never got to ask you how things went with gabi after I left.

Stefan: Oh, I let her have it. Telling brady that I kissed you.

Chloe: Yeah, I don't understand why she's sticking her nose in our business anyway.

Stefan: Oh, maybe... maybe she's jealous of you. Thinks I want her.

Chloe: So... every woman who lays her eyes on you has a thing for you? Is that what you're saying?

Stefan: Well, actually, she did kiss me.

Sonny: Oh, come on. Did you really want to kiss him? Or did you do it to stir him up, shut him down, in order to leave him wanting more?

Gabi: Can you please stop talking?

Sonny: Look, I respect you too much to use the classic terminology for that particular strategy.

Gabi: Just shut up, okay? Do I have to remind you that the man framed me, sent me to prison? Ari thought that I had abandoned her. I wasn't sure if my daughter would trust me ever again, okay? Stefan came to this close to ruining my life forever. How, sonny--I mean, how could i ever be attracted to someone like that?

Sonny: Don't ask me. Your romantic inclinations have always been a mystery to me.

Gabi: Trust me, sonny, I have never hated a man the way that I hate stefan dimera.

Stefan: I don't think I have ever hated anyone as much as i hate gabi hernandez. You remember. She led me to believe that charlotte was my daughter just so she could take her away from me, so no, I can't stand the sight of her, much less desire her or whatever the hell she thinks.

Chloe: Hmm, you sure do talk about her a lot.

Stefan: She gets under my skin.

Chloe: So, you felt nothing when gabi kissed you.

Stefan: A certain wave of disgust, perhaps. What?!

Chloe: Methinks the dude doth protest too much.

Stefan: Ah.

Chloe: I'm gonna take the kids to school. I will leave you alone with your thoughts of the despised yet alluring gabi.

Will: Hey, would you mind giving us a little, uh, privacy?

Roman: Kate, not helping.

Rex: Yeah, mom. Sorry. Look, I am not gonna let anything happen to him. We are gonna find out exactly what's wrong. But he does have an elevated white blood cell count, and that requires a lot of rest, so... you gotta go, and that is what the doctor ordered.

Kate: Okay, well, since that's such a lovely way to kick us out... if you need anything, you know--

Will: Yes, yes, I know. I know.

Roman: Will, take care.

Rex: Oh, by the way, sarah said yes.

Kate: You're engaged?

Rex: Yup.

Roman: Congratulations.

Rex: Thank you.

Kate: Well, just don't screw it up again.

Rex: [Laughs] Don't worry about that. It's different this time. No secrets, no lies.

Kate: Uh-huh.

[Soft dramatic music]

Maggie: I'm sorry about victor's behavior.

Sarah: But you think that he has a point, don't you?

Maggie: [Sighs] Maybe. I mean, marriage... are you sure?

Sarah: Yes, I'm sure. Because rex told me that he would never hurt me again, and I believe him.

Maggie: I think he sincerely wants to keep his promise, but I'm not so sure that he can.

Sarah: You already shared what you think about rex.

Maggie: Okay, then. Well then, let's just talk about eric. And about your feelings for eric.

Sarah: I already told you, he doesn't feel the same way about me.

Maggie: So is that why you said yes to rex? Because you can't be with eric? I mean, does rex know that he's the winner by default?

Sarah: He knows the truth. He knows about eric, and that i was the instigator of the kiss, and that I may have had feelings for his brother, but when i found out that eric wasn't interesting, I got over it.

Maggie: Just like that. Imagine.

Sarah: You know, [Scoffs] I knew that this was gonna happen; I knew that you were going to refuse to be happy for me.

Maggie: 'Cause you're getting married for all the wrong reasons.

Chloe: Ah, hi.

Stefan: Hey. Thought you were dropping the kids off.

Chloe: Yeah, except holly has a fever, and she's mad at me.

Stefan: Aw, why?

Chloe: Well, there's a picnic at school today, and she was looking forward to it.

Stefan: Oh, no. Uh, why don't we have a picnic here?

Chloe: Don't you have to work?

Stefan: Yeah, work can wait. Picnics are much more important.

Chloe: Oh, wow. Okay.

Holly: [Babbling]

Chloe: Oh, you want to sit down and play?

Stefan: Come here. Here. How about, let's see, we have some important decisions to make. What if--what if we made a bowl of brussels sprouts with chocolate sauce? What do you say to that? Or, no no no, how about peanut butter and ketchup sandwiches? Does that--what do you think? Does that sound good?

Holly: Yeah.

Stefan: Yeah, everybody loves 'em. All right, let's go to the kitchen and figure it out.

Chloe: [Gasps]

[Warm music]

Brady: You know, for you to continue to blame me for nicole's death, I find it-- I find it sickening. I find it outrageous, considering that all you had to do was stay the hell away from my girl at the time.

Eric: I'm not trying to relive the past. I'm trying to keep you from going down the same path again.

Brady: Well, thank you so much, you know, like you've done everything right in your life. You know, I haven't forgotten about daniel. Have you?

[Tense music]

I shouldn't--I didn't mean to bring that up, man. Sorry about that.

Eric: I don't know what's happened to you. But I want you to know this. If you even think about trying to manipulate chloe into leaving stefan, you're gonna have to find your own way. Because I'm not gonna help you.

Brady: All right, then. On to plan B.

Gabi: Always great talking to you.

Sonny: Gabi, I have to talk to you that way to get through to you. Stefan is not just a creep, he is a dangerous one. You should not be playing with fire. Look what he did to abigail.

Gabi: Well, what about what i did to abigail? We haven't talked about that.

Sonny: I don't have much to say about that, okay? Yes, you were horrible to her. But you were also traumatized from everything that happened to you.

Gabi: Yup, the old ptsd defense, right?

[Phone beeps] Oh, hold on, sorry. Give me a sec. I gotta go. I gotta go, but can you please keep me updated on will?

Sonny: Yeah, but it's nothing 'cause the test results are gonna come back, he's gonna be fine; we're gonna go home and start our happily ever after part. It's gonna be great.

Gabi: I hope so, because you two deserve it.

Sonny: Oh, thank you.

Sonny: Hey. You got great news for me, right?

[Dramatic tone]

Maggie: It sounds to me like you said yes to rex because you feel guilty about eric.

Sarah: That is not true.

Maggie: Well, I'm worried that you said yes to rex as your way of putting eric behind you.

Sarah: I have told you this. I've realized that I was infatuated with eric, but I love rex. And I think I... was mainly interested in eric as a way to get back at rex. And I'm not proud of that.

Maggie: Well, you had a good reason to get back at rex. His track record isn't great.

Sarah: No, and he admits that and I'm sure as hell not perfect. But we've learned from our mistakes, and we're getting married, and we're gonna be happy. Why can't you just fake being happy for me?

Maggie: Honey. More than anything, I want you to be right that rex is changed. And that you're really, really happy with him.

Will: You're upset.

Sonny: I just wanted to get you released so you could come home.

Will: Yeah, me too. Me too. But you know, rex said that this white blood cell thing could be due to stress, and with leo gone I have a feeling that my stress level is gonna drop dramatically. I'm sorry this whole thing has kept us from celebrating your newfound freedom. So, um, any plans now that you're--that you're single?

Sonny: Um, well, yeah, I mean, you know, when you were sleeping, I updated my grindr profile, you know, but sadly there's not too many guys out there that are looking for someone with, you know, two failed marriages under their belt and no job prospects.

Will: Really?

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Will: Sounds really hot to me.

Sonny: Really? Maybe--maybe you and i are a match.

Will: Well, on paper. The thing about chemistry is, you can never tell till you put it to the test. Yeah, I think you passed.

Roman: Well, they, uh... they're running more tests, but seems like there's nothing to worry about.

Eric: Does will feel okay?

Roman: Just wants to get back home. And, uh, rex told us his news.

Eric: Hm?

Roman: Oh, I thought he might have already told you. Sarah accepted his proposal.

Eric: Oh. Well, great. He's a lucky guy. Yeah, I'm happy for him.

Roman: Yeah. But... what about you?

Victor: What do you want?

Kate: I have a business proposition for you.

Victor: What business? You're out of work.

Kate: Well, that's exactly my point. I've decided to get back in the game, and I wanted you to know that I would consider coming back to titan.
