[Exhales deeply] I had the worst dream, the worst dream ever. You--you went back to justin, and I was so--so upset that I--I got plastered.

Victor: Good to see you sober again. I trust the facility was to your liking?

Brady: For an overnight stay, it was--it was fine. Thank you for making the arrangements.

Victor: You're quite welcome. And as promised, I didn't tell anyone about your falling off the wagon. No one here suspects a thing.

Brady: Not even maggie?

Victor: I told her you had some last-minute business in chicago.

Brady: [Exhales heavily] This isn't gonna happen again.

Victor: It better not. With sonny in jail, the last thing titan needs is more scandal.

Brady: Well, he's-- he's not gonna be behind bars for long. Not after we reveal that he didn't kill deimos... that it was my brother eric.

[Gentle music]

Chloe: It's about time you woke up. I thought you were gonna sleep the whole day away, champ.

Lucas: What the hell am I doing here?

Chloe: You don't remember what happened last night?

Lucas: My head is just killing me right now. What, did I get hit by a truck or something?

Chloe: Well, this should help with your hangover.

Lucas: My what?

Chloe: [Softly] Yeah.

Lucas: Wait a minute. No, wait, no.

Chloe: Yeah.

Lucas: Chloe, don't tell me--don't--

Chloe: Yeah, you got wasted last night at tbd? Yeah, sorry to break the bad news to you.

Lucas: Oh, I can't believe this. Damn it!

Chloe: I didn't want you driving home, so I just brought you here to sleep it off.

Lucas: Oh, my god. Wait. Club tbd? It did happen. Adrienne did dump me, didn't she? Oh, my god.

Adrienne: Oh, great. Did the warden agree to see me?

The man's not interested in hearing another one of your tall tales, lockhart.

[Playful knocking at door]

[Knocking continues]

Bonnie: [Chuckles] Okay, okay, okay.

Hattie: Hey, hey, wait a minute. You aren't even dressed. What have you been doin' all morning?

Bonnie: Sleeping?

Hattie: [Scoffs] I've been up for hours--even tried out the gym downstairs. Try this. Huh?

Bonnie: Hmm.

Hattie: [Chuckling] Yeah. Do it right, keep it tight. That's what I say.

Bonnie: How do you have so much energy after partying all night?

Hattie: What can I say? I got the stamina of a young college grad.

[Laughs]

Bonnie: Okay. Can we just keep it down just a notch or two, please?

Hattie: Oh, come on, come on, girly, come on! Don't be a sourpuss here. This is our day, don't you know that? Look, you're--you're about to make a play for kiriakis, and--and me? I get to see that dreamboat roman brady, so come on. Come on, honey. Come on, we're about to start living our dreams!

Bonnie: Okay. Oh--okay. Okay, okay, okay.

Hattie: Okay.

So you got a twin sister out there? Is that what you're trying to tell me?

Adrienne: No. No, I--I've never even met this bonnie, but people tell me that we bear a striking resemblance.

Hattie: [Giggling] I got that off the salem pd website. You know, "commissioner roman brady." I mean, isn't he the dreamiest?

Hattie: "He's okay"? He's a lot more than okay. I mean, look at-- look at that smile. Look at the smile. Doesn't--doesn't that just tell you how--how kind and-- and warm he is, with that smile?

Hattie: Well, yeah. Yeah, but...

[Scoffs] He's a lot more than that. You know, he'S... he's smart and--and-- and he's masculine, you know? And when he looks at a girl, you just feel like you're the only woman in the world.

Bonnie: Hmm. How'd you two guys meet?

Hattie: Oh. I was working in this run-down diner, and... and he--he used to come in. It was a real low point in my life, and then... well, I--I don't like to admit this, but things got so bad that I was gonna end it all, so I--I jumped off a bridge.

Bonnie: Hattie. That's heavy.

Hattie: Yeah. Yeah. It was bad. Would've been curtains for me too, except that--except that roman brady happened by, and know what he did? He jumped right in the water.

Bonnie: He went in and got you?

Hattie: He did. It was like--it was like neptune saved me from the depths, and-- and he risked his life too.

Bonnie: That is quite a story.

Hattie: I know, I know, and then I just thought, you know, after all that, we had a lot in common, and then I thought maybe it would just-- maybe it would turn into a little romance, you know? It never did. But ever since then, he's the only man I've ever been able to think about.

Bonnie: Well, girl, now you've got you a second chance.

[Both laughing]

[Knocking at door]

Bonnie: [Gasps] Shh, shh, shh.

[Clears throat] Who is it?

Anjelica: It's me. Open the door.

Both: Anjelica.

Anjelica: Whoa! This place smells like a food court.

Bonnie: Oh, we got some extra fries if you want.

Anjelica: Ah. Tempting as that may sound, I think I'll pass.

Bonnie: Oh.

Hattie: Well, you dames have a good time. I got to go get me some roman brady. Hattie out.

Bonnie: [Laughing] You go get him, tiger.

Hattie: [Growling playfully]

Anjelica: Oh, god, I hope I don't regret this.

[Door closes] All right, well, how did it go with lucas? Oh, tell me everything.

Lucas: Thank you for bringing me here last night and taking care of me.

Chloe: Well, you're welcome. I haven't always treated you so well, so it was the least I could do.

Lucas: I'm just glad you showed up when you did.

Chloe: And brady?

Lucas: What about him?

Chloe: Well, you said that you were drinking with him last night. Was that true?

[Dramatic music]

Brady: When I found this thing in eric's room, I was shocked. I mean, after everything that eric has been through and done, to think that he also killed deimos? It's crazy.

Victor: Well, that's assuming that our theory is correct. That whoever murdered my brother would be in possession of the amulet.

Brady: Well, think-- granddad, think about it. I mean, it does make sense. I mean, after everything that went down in greece. I mean, xander may have kidnapped nicole and eric, but deimos was behind it. Eric had incentive to kill that son of a bitch.

Victor: And you have no reservations about turning your brother in?

Brady: Yes, I have reservations. He's my brother. But I'd be lying to you if I didn't have a little bit of satisfaction attached to it. I mean, after all, he did-- he did betray me with nicole, didn't he? Yeah, he did. I--I have to go. I need to get going.

Victor: Oh, you're not going anywhere. We haven't finished talking about your drinking.

Nicole: So... do you think they'll work? Do you think those will help holly remember me?

Eric: I think it's worth a shot. Especially if her foster mom is willing to hang the photos all around the crib.

[Cell phone beeps]

Eric: Something wrong?

Nicole: No, I was-- it's fine. I was just hoping it was from brady. He didn't come home last night.

Eric: Oh, maybe he stayed at the office?

Nicole: Not according to victor. Brady went to chicago on a "last-minute business trip."

Eric: But you don't believe he did?

Nicole: No, I don'T. I think he's purposely avoiding me.

Eric: Why would he do that?

Nicole: Because, eric, he thinks we're having an affair.

Eric: So maggie told you...

Nicole: That brady knew I was keeping a secret and that it involved you.

Eric: And his mind jumped straight to an affair.

Nicole: Eric, he saw me leaving your room the other night.

Eric: What?

Nicole: I should have told brady the truth. That I forgave you. Feel free to say I told you so.

Eric: No, no, no, I would never say that. It's just-- I sorry that brady is hurting over this.

Nicole: It's gonna be okay. You know, I just have to convince brady that nothing is going on between us, and nothing ever will.

Eric: Right.

Nicole: Anyway, you should stay away from your brother for a few days and let him cool down.

Eric: Yeah, that's probably a good idea.

Nicole: What are you thinking?

Eric: I'm not pointing fingers here, but I know brady. Sometimes in situations like this, you know... it gets the better of him, and... [Sighs]

Nicole: And what?

Eric: Somebody trashed my room last night.

Nicole: And you think it was brady?

Victor: I'm concerned about you, brady.

Brady: You don't understand. I was--I was--I was triggered. I wasn't really my--I was... I know there's no excuse.

Victor: No, there isn'T.

Brady: I'll go to a meeting. There's one, uh--there's one in 15 minutes on church and west main.

Victor: Wait. No, wait a minute. I just wanted to say... watching you fight this disease over the years, I can only imagine how difficult it was for you, but you won that fight, brady. You've been sober for a lot of years. You still got the fight in you. You can win it again. And you will. I have trust in you.

Brady: Thank you. I'm gonna work hard to regain your trust.

Victor: Well... damn chloe. You know, she's the one that started your addiction.

Chloe: So is it true? Was brady your drinking partner last night?

Brady: Oh... let me top that off for you. Come here. There you go.

Lucas: Ahh!

Brady: There you go. It's all right.

Lucas: [Wincing]

Brady: It feels good, hmm? You know what you are? You're lucky. You're lucky.

Lucas: Whoa.

Brady: At least adrienne had the--had the decency to tell you that she was gonna--you know, "I'm moving on, lucas." And she said that, right? You know what nicole did? She went right to my brother and just lied to my face about it.

Lucas: Uh... I said that? Really?

Chloe: Yeah, lucas, you said that.

Lucas: Well, you know, I was--I was-- I was pretty wasted when you showed up, so I'm sure I said a lot of things that didn't make sense.

Chloe: So you're saying that brady wasn't with you?

Lucas: I mean, he might have been there, you know? Uh, but as far as drinking with him, I don't--I don't-- I don't remember that.

Chloe: Okay, well, what about the part where you said that brady thinks that nicole is cheating on him with eric? Do you remember that?

Lucas: Give me one sec, okay? I think I'm gonna...

Hattie: [Exhales] Well. What a glorious day, huh? The sun is shining, not a cloud in the sky. Makes you want to bottle it up, doesn't it?

Roman: Marlena, have you completely lost your mind?

Hattie: What?

Roman: John called me this morning. He said you left him.

Hattie: Oh. Oh, that. Yes, well, I'm afraid that's true. Um, we're both very sad about it, but it really is for the best.

Roman: You don't actually believe that?

Hattie: Well, I believe I should have done it sooner.

Roman: Marlena, what the hell is going on with you?

Hattie: Well, I have this new insight into my--my wants and my needs, and-- and I just realized that... well, I just realized that I--I've been living in a dream world.

Roman: Oh, my god. You know what you're gonna do? You are gonna go out that door, you're gonna find john, and you're gonna work things out.

Hattie: No, no, no, no. No, you don't get this. Uh...I'm done with john. I'm starting a whole new life now. Yikes...

Adrienne: Think, adrienne. Think. Okay. You woke up in bed with lucas.

Adrienne: He went to see abigail. You were headed to work, and you got a phone call...

[Gasps] Anjelica! Oh, god. Anjelica!

Bonnie: So then I told lucas that my heart belongs to justin. I must say, my performance was quite convincing.

Anjelica: I'm sure.

Bonnie: I did feel kind of bad, though. I mean, not only did I bust that poor boy's soul... he's hella fine. I mean, he just oozes sex appeal.

[Laughing]

Anjelica: Will you just get hold of yourself?

Bonnie: I'd rather get hold of him, if you know what I'm sayin'? I still don't get why I couldn't go for a little roll in the hay before I broke up with him.

Anjelica: You imbecile. For about a million reasons, starting with adrienne has a very different anatomy than you do, and as soon as you and lucas got intimate, he would be sure to notice that.

Bonnie: Right. The boob thing.

Anjelica: Yes, "the boob thing." Yes. [Sighs] You know what I would really like? I would really like if you would just check your libido and focus on the plan. I just want you to stay focused, focused, focused. Forget about lucas and just stick to the plan.

[Dramatic music]

[Footsteps approaching]

Chloe: Hopefully the fresh air will help you some, and this coffee.

Lucas: Thank you. Thank you. I appreciate it. But you don't have to hang out with me all day. I'll be fine.

Chloe: Will you, lucas? Look, I know that you're upset that adrienne broke up with you.

Lucas: I know--I know it's not an excuse to fall off the wagon. I know that. And at the risk of sounding a little pitiful, it's-- it's been a hard couple years. And...you know, losing...

[Soft music]

I can't even say it anymore.

Chloe: [Softly] Losing will.

Lucas: It was the worst thing that ever happened to me. Our marriage blew up, and my little girl is with sami in a different town right now, and it's hard, you know? It's hard. Adrienne was everything to me. She really was. Sweet, kind, generous soul. She was my lifeline. And--and now it's over, so all I feel is sadness and grief.

Chloe: Lucas, I-- I--I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose a child, and I know that adrienne helped you through a terrible time, but... you have to know that you have friends and family who love you. Jennifer and maggie and your mom--they would do anything for you.

Lucas: I know, I know. I get it, I get it. You're right, I-- I got to stop feeling sorry for myself. And stop drinking.

Chloe: Well, good. And look, I know that we have a pretty screwed-up past and relationship, but seriously, if you need anything or you just need to talk to someone, call me, okay?

Lucas: Thanks, chloe.

Roman: Marlena, listen to me. I don't know where this is coming from-- resentment, anger, what? I mean, hell, you're the psychiatrist. But you and john-- you have this incredible history together, and now suddenly you are just gonna throw it away?

Hattie: No, it's not so sudden.

[Stammering] I have felt abandoned for a very long time, and--and I've felt as though john's love for me has, uh, taken a backseat to his career.

Roman: Oh, come on. I know that is not true.

Hattie: Yeah, it's because-- because you don't know how I feel. You don't go around feeling sad and lonely all the time, every single day, every single hour.

Roman: Well, of course I do. From time to time, everybody feels that, but come on. John... you have been his priority in life.

Hattie: No. You know what, sometimes I start to wonder if--if our relationship-- john's and mine-- was doomed from the very start. You know, because of the way it began. You know, when he took over your life and all.

Roman: That is not what happened.

Hattie: And then--and then you came back, and-- well, then I had that regrettable affair with john, and then I began to wonder if that's when it all began to go wrong for me. When I let you go.

Adrienne: She is a conniving, scheming pit viper in red lipstick, that's who. Oh, god, why did I agree to meet with her?

Anjelica: All right, now that lucas is out of the way, we can initiate phase two of our plan.

Bonnie: Yeah, I still don't get how that works.

Anjelica: All right, let me go over it one last time.

Bonnie: I'll take notes.

Anjelica: All right, now, justin is a--a very complex man.

Bonnie: Mm-hmm.

Anjelica: So you are gonna have to be very mindful of what comes out of that mouth of yours.

Bonnie: Yeah. So what do I say?

Anjelica: Well... tell him he's the most amazing man you've ever met, and that you were a fool to let him go, and that you have never stopped loving him.

Bonnie: Got it.

Anjelica: And then tell him how he always made you feel so loved and so beautiful. And how much you miss his... tender touch and his warm embrace. And how safe you always felt in his arms.

Chloe: Hi. Uh, henderson was outside, and he said that I could just come in.

Brady: What are you doing back in salem?

Chloe: I'll fill you in later. Can I talk to you in private?

Victor: Absolutely not.

Chloe: I--I don't think I should...

[Dramatic music]

Chloe: Uh, lucas said that you fell off the wagon last night.

Eric: I'm not saying brady's the one who broke in, and I hate even thinking it, but it's just-- it's the timing.

Nicole: Well, was anything stolen?

Eric: No. Not one thing, and that's what's so strange, because I had a watch and some other sentimental pieces that are worth something.

Nicole: Well, was--

Eric: And they weren't even moved.

Nicole: Was anyone else's room broken into?

Eric: I don't know. I have no idea. I haven't filed a police report yet. I'm gonna go there right after--

Nicole: Okay, well, wait. Let me talk to brady first.

Eric: Sure.

Nicole: Thank you, eric. And--and is it okay if I finish my service hours tomorrow? I have to find brady and...

Eric: Yeah.

Nicole: Make sure this doesn't get out of hand.

Victor: How dare you barge into this house, spewing defamatory nonsense. My grandson works very hard to maintain his sobriety.

Chloe: I was worried. Lucas said that you were in tbd at the bar last night with him.

Victor: Lucas? There's a reputable source.

Chloe: Well, he did sort of backtrack on his story this morning, but... I was just checking.

Victor: I can assure you that brady was here with me, working all night.

Chloe: Okay. Brady? You're being awfully quiet.

Brady: Chloe, he's right. He's absolutely right. I don't know what's going on with lucas, but if he said that if he ran into me last night, he's mistaken. That did not happen.

Chloe: I hope that's true. Brady, please just take care of yourself. If anything, for the sake of your little boy.

Hattie: You know, life really was--it was simpler then. Before, you know, john came onto the scene, when it was just-- just the two of us, just you and me.

Roman: Yeah, you and me and a bunch of kids.

Hattie: Yes. Yes. Our wonderful children. Yeah, I--I can remember what fun we had raising...carrie. And then--and then sami came along, and then-- and then a little later, eric.

[Chuckles]

Roman: Sami and eric are twins.

Hattie: [Gasps] Yes, yes, yes. I know. I know.

[Stammering] I mean, I-- I carried those two babies, you know? That was lot of carrying around, and--and, uh--and then-- then sami... came out first, right?

Roman: By two minutes, yeah. What a day that was.

Hattie: What a day that was.

Roman: [Chuckles] Yeah. Do you remember the first night we took them home to the house? I mean, sami was crying, and eric was crying, and vice versa.

Hattie: Oh, so much crying going on.

Roman: Yeah, and I remember taking turns feeding them.

Hattie: Oh. Well, that was fair, wasn't it?

Roman: Yeah, sure, but both of us knew whoever got sami was in for it.

Hattie: Yeah, she was a-- she was a real handful, wasn't she?

Roman: [Chuckles] Oh, my god. That girl could cry, I guarantee you. You could rock her. You could walk her. You could change her. You know? You could feed her. You could rub her back. You could rub her little feet, but oh, my god, she just kept right on screaming.

Hattie: Yeah, oh, she'd-- she'd just cry until she couldn't cry anymore, huh?

Roman: [Chuckles] Yeah. And then she'd fall asleep with that little innocent, angelic smile on her face like she didn't keep us up all night. Our precious little child.

Hattie: Mm. Yeah. Yeah, our sweet little family.

[Exhales] It just--it just fills my heart to think about our-- our children. How much--how much we love them... and how much we loved each other.

Bonnie: Hold on a second. Aspirin and coffee? You nursing a hangover? Lucas, you're an alcoholic.

Lucas: Yes, I know that, and thank you--thank you for the news flash. I've had enough lectures for one day, so please save it.

Bonnie: This is bad.

Lucas: I'll tell you what's even worse, adrienne. Waking up and realizing that I lost you. I keep thinking about the last time we were together, how amazing it was... holding you in my arms. I mean, don't you remember? Don't you remember how good we were together?

Bonnie: Remind me.
