Episode #13110 ~ Steve has surprising news for Adrienne; Tripp shadows Kayla and gains her trust while devising a plan to frame her; JJ & Lani find Chad & Gabi in a compromising position; a feverish Paul gets Eli to agree to something extreme.
Provided By Suzanne
[Soft music]Kayla: Mrs. Robinson's vital signs are stable.
Tripp: And within normal limits, right?
Kayla: Right. Which is a big improvement from yesterday.
Tripp: And what was the name of the medicine you prescribed?
Kayla: Digoxin. I'm gonna start her out on a small dosage and track her progress. The levels of the drug need to be monitored very closely in her system, otherwise it can become toxic.
Tripp: Right, right.
Kayla: Okay. Good. All right, next up we have Mr. Kawaja. Ah. Let's see... I thought--
[Somber music]
Kayla: [Sighs] Oh, no. I... I'm sorry.
Tripp: W-what?
Kayla: Mr. Kawaja died last night. You know, no matter how many times it happens, I...I never get used to losing a patient. Especially someone as nice as him.
[Somber music]
[Low conversation]
Steve: Hey.
Adrienne: Steve. I thought you were still in new York.
Steve: I caught an early flight back. Listen...I've got some news for both of you about who's after "the spectator." But first I wanna hear about the search.
Justin: Victor is running point with the Greek authorities. John and Marlena flew out last night.
Adrienne: There's nothing new to report.
Steve: Well, listen, while I was in new York, I got in touch with a couple of my ISA contacts--they're gonna use their resources to aid in the search.
Adrienne: That's...
Justin: Thank you.
Adrienne: Thank you.
Steve: I know this is hell on both of you. John and Marlena too.
Adrienne: Well, we're gonna join in on the search. We're gonna find our son, and we're gonna bring him home.
[Soft music]
Sonny: Here, drink some water. A little bit more.
Paul: Thank you. Thank you.
Sonny: He's burning up.
Eli: But he's himself again. Lucid.
Sonny: But his physical symptoms seem to be getting worse. If only we could untie him.
Paul: No. No, no, no, no. Please, I don't...I don't know what I'll do.
[Somber music]
Chad: Hey. Morning.
Gabi: Morning. How long have you been awake?
Chad: Not long. I've just been... thinking about all the things that have had to happen for us to end up here. And, uh... I think we're... exactly where we're supposed to be.
Gabi: You sure?
Chad: Yeah, I'm sure.
Gabi: Okay, well, now you've convinced me too.
Chad: Well, one good thing about being stranded on a deserted island is... you get away from all of the pressures and... expectations of what people expect of us. We can just kinda get lost in ourselves, in our own feelings.
[Soft music]
Lani: Hey.
JJ: We've been looking for you guys.
[Edgy music]
Lani: The others are awake. We all need to meet and decide what to do next.
Gabi: All right, well, uh, didn't we use our last flare last night?
Lani: Yeah, we did. So we need to shift our thinking from the short-term goal of being rescued to...doing what it takes to survive here long-term.
Chad: Yeah, I, uh, I agree. We should be...focused on the future.
JJ: Meet you back at camp when you're ready.
[Soft music]
[Gabi laughs]
[Paul breathing hard]
JJ: No, if you... if you release me, it won't matter if you take me to the other end of this island. We all know what it said in the diary about this disease. When I'm... when I'm in the grips of it... I will hunt you all down and kill you. So...so please... if it comes to me...or all of you, please, Sonny... Sonny, look at me. [Panting] Don't...let me hurt anyone again. Even if you...even if you have to go as far as... as to kill me... when I'm...when I'm in the grips of it. When I'm a threat again, you promise me. You promise me.
Sonny: I will not let that happen. I am gonna get you well, and I'm getting you off of this island. I won't let you hurt anyone. And no one is gonna hurt you. I promise.
[Somber music]
the pilot, make sure our flight plan has been filed.
[Phone beeps]
Steve: Man, I wish there was more I could do to help.
Adrienne: Steve, you've done so much already. I appreciate it. So tell me about new York. What did you find out?
Steve: Well, more than I expected to, actually. I met the real person who's gunning for you.
Adrienne: Really? Who is it?
Steve: Anjelica Deveraux.
Adrienne: Anjelica? W-what?
Steve: Yeah. And it's not about business, either. It's personal. Anjelica believes you did her wrong, and she's out for revenge.
[Lightly edgy music]
Kayla: Mr. Kawaja was an elderly man. He had been living with diabetes for a long time. He'd already lost a foot and had come close to death several times.
Tripp: Whoa, that's... that's rough.
Kayla: Yeah. But what his chart doesn't tell you...was what a gem of a man he was. How every time I saw him, he told me a bad knock-knock joke that made me laugh, every single time. And he said he wished that he had a granddaughter like me. I really thought that...we were getting his latest issues under control. But the reality is that our treatments don't always work. And if you're gonna become a doctor, you have to develop thick skin. You have to learn to live with loss. Excuse me a minute.
[Soft music]
Shelly, since Mr. Kawaja died under our care, I need you to check and make sure that we followed the proper protocol for his treatment.
Shelly: Right. I'll have it in your in-box by Friday
Kayla: Today.
Tripp: So I guess it's all on you, the doctor, to make sure you did everything right by your patient.
Kayla: Right. You have to make the tough decisions. And your decisions could... make the difference between life and death. Mistakes are costly. I need to talk to this nurse about another patient. I'll be back.
[Edgy music]
Tripp: Costly. Yeah.
Gabi: I...I didn't say that.
Chad: Yeah, you didn't have a problem pouncing on the idea, though--"sure, Chad, why don't you throw me on your shoulders so I can get up to the highest of all the branches, get all the best fruits?"
Gabi: Okay, first of all, you're terrible at being a mimic, and second of all, I was not expecting an animal to screech at me and both of us panic.
Chad: First of all, I'm great at mimicking, and that wasn't a mimic, but secondly, I did not panic.
Gabi: Yes, you did! You gasped and then you said, "what the hell?"
Chad: You said that!
Gabi: I didn't say a word! I was calm and collected, and actually, I just screeched back at that animal, and it ran for its life.
Chad: Which was pretty impressive.
Gabi: [Laughs] Thanks. Gotta show the natives what they're dealing with.
Chad: That you did.
Gabi: Let me get the--
Chad: Wanna see a trick? Watch this. Ready?
[Gabi laughs]
Chad: Made it disappear.
Gabi: [Giggles]
Eli: Hey, you guys find Chad and Gabi?
Lani: Yeah. They were resting. How's Paul?
Sonny: His fever's spiking again. I'm trying to keep him hydrated and comfortable as possible.
[Edgy music]
Lani: You okay?
JJ: Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?
Lani: You just seemed a little upset earlier... Gabi, Chad.
JJ: They're adults. They can make their own choices. Everything's okay, Lani.
Lani: And what if it's not? What if we never get off this island?
JJ: Well, we got plenty of water, food--climate's good. No reason we can't stay here forever.
Lani: And I guess you're forgetting about the skull, and more importantly, more frighteningly, Paul's disease. It may be fatal. If we're not lucky, it could end up killing us all.
[Tense music]
Kayla: Well, your lungs sound nice and clear. The steroid treatment seems to be working. How are you feeling?
Rebecca: Better. Breathing much easier.
Kayla: Great.
Rebecca: So...dr. Johnson, is this your son?
Kayla: This is my stepson, Tripp. He's thinking about becoming a doctor.
Rebecca: That's wonderful! My son just lost his job, and it's been rough. I've been trying to help out, working two jobs.
Kayla: You know, Rebecca, I understand the need to want to do everything you can for your son... but you've been ill. And the most important thing is for you to take care of yourself right now...so you can be there for your son.
Justin: Anjelica? Why would she want revenge?
Adrienne: Seriously. I mean, the only thing connecting either one of us anymore is Alex.
Justin: And he chose not to have her in his life.
Adrienne: Exactly. He did! Well, I'm sure she blames me, of course, but still...
Justin: Well, that's insane.
Adrienne: It's crazy. Is it too much to expect people to get a little wiser with age? Or kinder? Or mellow just one little iota? My god, what--
Justin: Not if that person is a sadistic narcissist.
Adrienne: [Sighs] Ain't that the truth? Now, look, I suppose...what? She's gotten tired of punishing whoever she's been pissed off at over the last--now, all of a sudden, she's coming after me again?
Justin: Adrienne, Adrienne, I'm sorry. It's...
Adrienne: It's not your fault, Justin. It's really not.
Justin: I'm gonna call her right now and set the record straight.
Adrienne: Oh, please let me.
Justin: No. I know you can, but give me the satisfaction. Would you?
Steve: Hmph.
Adrienne: That crazy... we haven't heard from her in years, Steve, and now all of a sudden, she's out for blood? It doesn't make sense, I don't--
Steve: And who the hell knows what's motivating her? But listen, I'm gonna handle this. I've already started digging into her colorful past, and I'm gonna find something you can use as leverage. Hey...I said I'm gonna handle it.
Adrienne: I know. I know, and I love you for it. It's... [Sighs] I can't believe I'm thinking about this. This is stupid and meaningless and petty.
Steve: It's not petty if somebody's coming after you--
Adrienne: Yes, it is, when you don't even know if your son's okay. What the hell is wrong with me?
Steve: Shh. Come on. Come here.
Kayla: He's my heart.
Steve: I know.
Kayla: And I love him so much.
Steve: Shh, shh...
Kayla: Everyone does.
Steve: That's right. He's a sweet boy. And how do you think he got so sweet?
Kayla: [Crying] I don't know. All I know is I couldn't be more proud to have a son like him, and that's all I'm gonna focus on--I mean, until he is found, I am not--I am not... gonna think about anything else!
Chad: Would you care for another nut?
Gabi: Don't mind if I do.
Chad: Mm-hmm.
Gabi: You know, I have to say, I'm very impressed.
Chad: What's that--my brute strength? Able to put you on my shoulders and crack nuts with...
[Crack]
Chad: One hand?
Gabi: Wow! No. What? I'm as light as a feather. What are you talking about?
Chad: Okay. Must've been your clothes that were weighing you down.
Gabi: That was a very good way to wiggle out of something.
Chad: Was that bad? Yeah, I'm very adept at that.
Gabi: Do you wanna know why I'm impressed? Chad: Well, I'm looking for a compliment, so...yes, please.
Gabi: Well, I am impressed at your amazing survival skills.
Chad: Hmm. Well, yours are not too shabby... either. Ow.
Gabi: [Laughs]
Chad: We make a good team.
Gabi: We do. We do make a good team.
Chad: I'll keep us fed is what I'm thinking.
Gabi: And I'll keep away those wild animals that are trying to attack you.
Chad: Now, that's... that's a deal.
Gabi: [Giggles]
Chad: You can get these nuts open from now on, though.
Gabi: I can do it. Are you too weak?
Chad: Let's see it.
Gabi: Is that what it is?
[Murmuring]
Chad: That one's already open.
Gabi: No, but it's black.
Paul: [Breathing unsteadily] It's starting again. I can feel it.
Eli: You want water?
Paul: No, no, no water, no water. Eli...listen to me.
Eli: I'm listening.
Paul: I need you to do what Sonny and the others--they won't. Kill me.
[Dark music]
Eli: If the time comes... and that's necessary...
Paul: You will do just that.
Eli: I'll do just that.
Paul: [Exhales unevenly] Thank you. Thank you. [Groans]
Eli: You're a good man, Paul... willing to sacrifice yourself. If I have to... I promise you I'll make it quick.
[Dark music]
Kayla: Okay.
Tripp: Mrs. Jared's all set?
Kayla: Yes, she is. I think that she'll be discharged in the next couple of days.
Tripp: Glad she's on the mend--she seemed like a real nice lady.
Kayla: She is--very sweet. You know, Tripp, I just wanted to tell you that...despite what happened earlier, this has been really lovely. I mean, not lovely, actually. It's meant a lot to me having you here. And I know that your dad is... is over the moon that, uh, we're getting to know each other.
Tripp: Right, yeah, I know. It's...it's meant a lot to me too...you know, you being so willing to mentor me, help me find my way. God, that sounded lame, didn't it, like straight out of a hallmark card or something?
Kayla: No. No, I think it's sweet.
Tripp: Well, I...really am grateful.
Kayla: So am I. For the company...and the friendship.
Tripp: Uh...so I guess I should be going, right? It's been like four hours.
Kayla: [Laughs] I'm sure longer. Yes, you are dismissed. You can go.
Tripp: Well, like I said, it's been great.
Kayla: No, no, it's really been my pleasure.
Tripp: I didn't get in the way too much, though, right?
Kayla: In the way? Didn't I just say that you... this was a pleasure--come on!
[Tripp laughs]
Kayla: You have the distinction of being our only child that has any interest in medicine. And just the fact that you would want to learn from me and maybe have a career as a doctor... well, it makes it all the more special for me.
Tripp: I'm glad.
Kayla: Oh, not that I mind that the other kids aren't destined for medicine. I mean, I'm sure that they will find their way, and I will be proud of anything that they do.
Tripp: Of course.
Kayla: But...it would be really nice to have another doctor in the family. Just sayin'.
Tripp: Yeah, well, uh... that might happen.
Kayla: Well...I hope we do this again.
Tripp: Yeah, me, too.
Kayla: Okay. See you later. Okay.
[Edgy music]
[Suspenseful music]
Lani: I'm gonna go get some more water for him.
JJ: I'll come with you.
Lani: [Softly] Okay.
Eli: Sonny... you heard what he wants us to do. Maybe...we should respect his wishes.
Sonny: Respect his wishes?
Eli: Yes.
Sonny: The disease is called jungle madness for a reason. It makes its victims insane! Meaning we do not respect his wishes. We ignore them! We disregard everything he says and everything he does, and we do everything we can to make him better.
Eli: We don't have the means to make him better, Sonny. That man is suffering right now.
Sonny: So you wanna euthanize him--that's what you wanna do? Put him down like a rabid dog?
Eli: I understand that you care for him, all right? But there are other people to consider.
Sonny: Well, then, you consider those other people, 'cause my concern right now is helping Paul. Look at him, he's in agony, and he doesn't deserve to be, because he's the best man that I know, and I will do whatever it takes to save his life.
[Dramatic musical sting]
[Men continue arguing quietly]
Sonny: No, we are not gonna respect his wishes! We're not gonna respect his wishes--he's not in his right mind!
Chad: Savage!
[Gabi giggles]
Chad: We have a few nuts left.
Gabi: Oh, how are we gonna divvy these up?
Chad: Well...since I'm probably gonna have to put you on my shoulders to get more...
Gabi: Mm-hmm.
Chad: I require more protein.
Gabi: Oh!
Chad: To build my strength, so I'm probably gonna need more.
Gabi: No. We established that I'm as light as a feather.
Woman: Hello? Hello, is anybody there?
Gabi: Did you hear that? Am I imagining--oh, my god, that does not sound like somebody from our group!
Woman: Hello!
John: Whoa! Look who's here!
Gabi: Oh, my god! Oh, my god!
John: We were so worried about you!
[Overlapping chatter]
Marlena: Oh, my gosh! It's a miracle! Oh, you're all right! You're all right!
John: So, uh...
Chad: What? To folks everywhere whose diabetic...
[Suspenseful music]
Chad: How painful this is for you, but even Paul, when he's thinking straight, wants us all to do the right thing.
Sonny: Like hell he does. Paul wouldn't wanna die if he was thinking straight! He wouldn't want us to lose hope, Eli!
Gabi: You guys, we're saved! Someone's here to help us!
Marlena: We're here!
[Overlapping whooping, shouting]
John: Whoa, kid, what happened to you? Where's Sonny?
[Dramatic musical flourish]
[Overlapping shouting]
Sonny: No, no, no, no!
[Woman screams]
Man: No, don't, no!
[Dramatic music]
Steve: What happened?
Justin: Angelica wouldn't take my call.
Steve: Well, that's weird. I thought she would jump at the chance to mess with you.
Justin: So did I. Which makes me even more concerned. I mean, I know angelica better than anybody. I think we're in for a real fight.
Steve: I think you may be right...unfortunately. Listen, man, right now, you and Adrienne need to stay focused on bringing Sonny home.
Justin: Yeah, right. Yeah. We gotta do that.
Steve: When you were dealing with Anjelica, dr. Ong called and gave Adrienne the all clear to travel.
Justin: Oh, good, that's great.
Steve: She's touching base with Lucas in the office before you guys take off.
[Phone rings]
Steve: I gotta take this. Hey, sweetness. How you doing?
Kayla: Well, I'm about to get off work, which is a good thing. But I just wanted to let you know that, um, it was really great having Tripp here following me on my rounds today.
Steve: Well, that's fantastic!
Kayla: Yeah. I mean, I don't know if he will pursue a career in medicine, but he certainly seems interested, as you know.
Steve: Definitely.
Kayla: Well, whatever he decides, I think that he is intent on making a difference.
Steve: Hmm.
[Soft music]
Tripp: I-is there any proof? I mean, Kayla doesn't seem like somebody who smothers people to death.
Jade: Yeah, that's because she's completely two-faced. Ava kidnapped Kayla and locked her away with no food and no water. You know about that, right?
[Somber music]
Well...did you know that Ava told Steve the only way that she would let Kayla go was... if he slept with her? Well...Steve hopped in her big bed and did his duty. And, of course, when Kayla was finally free and everything was supposed to go back to normal, Ava sent her a private little porn movie.
Tripp: So this...film made Kayla commit murder?
Jade: Well, that and...other stuff.
Tripp: Like what?
Jade: They wound up getting into it in the park--hair pulling and punching each other. Then later, Ava snuck into Steve and Kayla's house and gave herself a morphine overdose.
Tripp: Av-Ava overdosed so she would frame Kayla for--
Jade: Well, that's what Kayla's claiming but, I mean... maybe Ava was telling the truth. Kayla said that she came home and found Ava blacked out with a needle still in her arm. She was alive, so they rushed her to the hospital, and she pulled through.
Tripp: W-well, Kayla saved her--why would she hurt her?
Jade: Because your mom made a big scene at the hospital. She told everyone that Kayla was the one that gave her the overdose. She was saying, "help me, save me, don't let her do it to me again!" That kinda stuff. So...Kayla shut her up. Hey. Got your text--what's going on?
Tripp: Just got done doing rounds with the good doctor.
Jade: Oh, what fun. Did she put on an Oscar-worthy performance?
Tripp: Of course she did. You know, it's like she's playing the big part of the big hero doctor, you know, always kind and compassionate, her voice all soft, that sick, sweet little smile on her face. "Hey, Mr....whoever the hell you are," you know? "Are you feeling okay? Even though you're probably gonna die any minute now?"
Jade: So I take it you didn't buy it.
Tripp: Actually, I did. For like...five minutes. Then I thought, she's just acting her ass off. And it's all phony and fake and...god, it makes my skin crawl just thinking about it.
Jade: Yeah, I bet.
Tripp: 'Cause if she's so devoted to healing, how could she murder my mom in cold blood?
Jade: You know, Tripp, sometimes I think I don't tell you enough how bad I feel for you... knowing your mom was murdered, and by the wife of your dad, no less. I mean, it's so tragic. I don't know how you can stand to even be around Kayla--around any of them, really.
Tripp: Well...my dad's cool. And...Joey. I don't believe in guilt by association or whatever that expression is.
Jade: Yeah, me neither, but...I mean, I know how unbelievably painful this is for you. I just wish I could take some of that pain away.
Tripp: Yeah, well, you can't.
Jade: You know, Tripp, you don't need to feel any guilt for this--all the anger and hatred you have towards that woman.
Tripp: I don't feel guilty. You know, my mom is dead because of her--why would I feel guilty?
Jade: I don't know, because sometimes maybe she can fool people into thinking that she cares.
Tripp: She doesn't, okay? I'm not falling for it--I've already told you that.
Jade: Okay. But...if you ever are even for a second, just remember how Kayla operates. She pulls you into her web with niceties and encouragement... but she'll pull the rug out from under you in a heartbeat if you don't fit into her world. Kayla Johnson is a cold-hearted bitch...period.
Tripp: Yeah, that pretty much sums her up, but...you know...
Jade: What?
Tripp: It's not enough to just...hate her. I'm going to take action. I'm going to do something about it.
[Dramatic chords]
[Overlapping shouting]
John: All right, all right, that's enough, enough! What the hell is going on here?
Sonny: Paul caught jungle madness.
John: What?
Sonny: He caught jungle madness.
Marlena: Oh, my gosh...the same disease that peter Blake had.
Eli: He tried to kill us, so we tied him up to restrain him.
John: Check him out, doc.
Marlena: We've gotta get him to a hospital.
Sonny: Thank god we can.
Chad: How the hell'd you guys find us?
John: Well, we got titan jet's last location, started going island to island. Did an air search, cover on this island was too dense, dropped in by foot, and just dumb luck that we found you guys.
Marlena: A lot of luck. We've gotta get him help right now.
John: All right, all right.
[Suspenseful music]
Sonny: Hey, Paul, come here. Come here. Hey, did you hear that? We're being rescued. We're gonna get you to the hospital, and everything's gonna be okay. Everything's gonna be okay.
[Edgy music]
Jade: So what did you mean it's not enough to just hate Kayla? What are you gonna do about it?
[Dark chords]
Tripp: I got a plan.
Jade: Oh, and you have my undivided attention.
Tripp: So, doing rounds earlier was very... enlightening.
Jade: You mean aside from the big, disgusting act she puts on?
Tripp: Right, aside from that. There are these policies and protocols, you know, for medicating patients to make sure the treatments are done according to the doctors' instructions.
Jade: Right. Of course.
Tripp: Well, even if the doctor does everything by the book...sometimes patients die.
Jade: Yeah. So...
Tripp: This is the good part. When there's a death, the patient's file is reviewed.
Jade: What, you mean by other doctors?
Tripp: Yeah. And by the big shots who run the hospital.
Jade: Okay...go on.
Tripp: All I have to do is get to said patient's file and alter it in such a way to make it look like Kayla made a mistake.
Jade: Oh... okay. I like this.
Tripp: I-I'd start small at first, you know, like change the name of the meds or the dosage here and there for the first few cases. Then...I'll up my game. Then I'll make it where it looks like Kayla is the doctor of death.
Jade: I like the plan... but here's the problem. People like Kayla have everyone fooled. I mean, I just don't know if anyone's gonna believe that Kayla's just going around offing people right and left.
Tripp: I'll admit that's a hurdle. I'll find a way to get over it. I'm gonna make people start to doubt her. In that final chart, I'm gonna make it very clear...that what Kayla does goes far beyond negligence.
Jade: You're not actually gonna kill any of her patients, right?
Tripp: No, no, no, no, I can never take another person's life--I'm not like Kayla.
Jade: You know what? I have complete faith in you, Tripp. I mean it.
Tripp: The thing is, I may never be able to prove Kayla killed my mom. I'm gonna make damn sure that her career is over. She'll be ruined.
[Dramatic musical flourish]
Marlena: Paul is resting comfortably now. I gave him a sedative, and he will sleep until we get back to the mainland.
Sonny: They need to give him an antidote.
Marlena: Yes, we will, and when we get it to him, he'll be just fine.
John: Got word back to the plane. They're gonna relay news of our rescue back to the states.
Marlena: Okay. I'm gonna check on Paul again.
Sonny: That's great news. That's great news.
John: Appreciate you taking care of my boy.
Sonny: Absolutely. You know, I just felt--felt so powerless...just sitting around and watching, and there was nothing I could do to help the people I love.
John: I know what it's like, kid. What you do is you just...you keep on loving 'em... and try to accept whatever fate gives you.
Sonny: Yeah, well...I'm not sure I can do that.
[Soft music]
Gabi: You know, being with you last night seemed like a dream, it didn't seem real, and now that john and Marlena are here--I mean, is this happening, really?
Chad: It is happening.
Gabi: Chad, we're gonna see our kids, we're gonna be able to hold them in our arms. I'M...I'm really relieved, but I'm scared.
Chad: What are you scared for? Hey, everything that we've talked about, it's... it's gonna happen. Doesn't matter where we are... okay? We're gonna be fine as long as we're together.
Gabi: Yeah, we can handle anything life throws at us... as long as we're together.
[Soft instrumentals]
Chad: Mmm... uno mas. But I, uh--there's something that I have to do first.
Jade: Well, I'm all-in, so let's do this.
Tripp: You wanna help?
Jade: Of course I do. I hate that Kayla killed your mom and got away with it, it makes me sick.
Tripp: Yeah, me, too.
Jade: No, it makes you more than sick. You don't have a mom because of that horrible woman. You lost the most important person in your life because of that murderer.
Tripp: Yeah, you're right. It does a lot more than make me sick--it makes my head explode.
Jade: That's more like it. Now, you want my two cents? The most important thing is that we don't move too fast. We have to put this plan into motion slowly and carefully and make sure that nobody's on to us.
Tripp: Yeah, we do. We're gonna bring down Kayla slowly but surely. She's in for a big surprise.
[Dramatic chords]
Adrienne: So did you get a hold of the wicked witch?
Justin: No, not yet. She must be getting her broomstick tuned up.
Adrienne: [Scoffs] I bet. I can't believe after all this time, she's--
Justin: You know what? I don't want you to waste any more energy thinking about her. We have more important things to deal with, okay?
Adrienne: Absolutely right.
Justin: So we need to focus.
[Phone rings]
Adrienne: Excuse me.
[Beep] Hello? Yes, this is she. Are you sure? I can't believe-- thank you for calling! Yes, I'll let his father know. Thank you, thank you!
Justin: What, what?
Adrienne: They found Sonny and the others! They're safe, and they're coming home! They're coming home! Oh, god!
[Both laughing]
[Light music]
Eli: You okay?
Lani: Yeah. I just can't wait to get home to the people who love me.
[Soft music]
Marlena: Where's Sonny?
John: Went to pack some clothes.
Marlena: Oh. Where are, uh, Chad and Gabi?
John: They're right over-- well, they were right over there.
Chad: I am a firm believer of making your own luck. However, this island has... yeah...that's...
Gabi: So wait, now you are a firm believer in fate, luck, and cursed amulets?
Chad: All of the above. Oh, god, this is gonna hurt.
Gabi: Come on.
Chad: $20 million.
