JJ: The worst part is that nobody wants to talk about it.

Lani: So how do we sort this out before it becomes an all out war?

JJ: My source tells me there's a delivery coming in tonight to pier 119 on a titan ship. Whatever it is, titan's been quietly stepping up security.

Lani: Sounds like it's important.

[Cell phone rings]

JJ: Deveraux. Got it. Thanks. The delivery was moved to pier 27. It's there now. Let's go.

Jennifer: [Grunts] Okay. Here we go. Let's see if that key is in here.

[Suspenseful music]

[Man grunting]

Oh, my.

[Man whimpering]

Sir! Sir, are you alright? Oh, my goodness.

Drew: I've changed-- I've changed my mind. I-I don't want to do this.

Jennifer: Shane?

Abigail: So it is up to us to keep the people that we love out of harm's way.

Gabi: Which means we need to get our hands on the Orwell.

Abigail: Which-- thanks to Ari, we know is locked in a safe in the Kiriakis mansion.

Gabi: All right, you got us the keys to get in, let me figure out the next part.

Abigail: You know how to crack a safe?

Gabi: No, not yet, but I think I will.

Nicole: Yes. Yes, this is an emergency. A man's been attacked outside club TBD. Please come fast. He's in bad shape. Dario. Dario.

[Dario groans]

Nicole: Okay, it's Nicole. Okay, can--can you hear me? Did Deimos do this to you? I have to know. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Dario. Dario! Dario! Help! Help!

[Phone beeps]

Deimos: Is it done? Both of them? Good.

Chad: André? Are you choking? Hey.

[André spitting]

[André groans]

Chloe: Thank you for seeing me, Dr. Lee.

Dr. Lee: I'm glad I happened to be in Salem. I heard about all the complications from the delivery. How you feeling?

Chloe: Better, but I'm worried about holly.

Dr. Lee: Is something wrong with the baby?

Chloe: No, no, no. She's--she's fine. She's perfect. It's just that after I gave birth to her and I had the stroke, I wasn't able to nurse.

Dr. Lee: You want to nurse her? That's unusual for a gestational carrier.

Chloe: I just want what's best for her and I know that breast milk is beneficial for their health and development. It's just that been such a long time since the birth that my milk didn't come in. I thought maybe there's something you can give me to help with that?

Dr. Lee: Of course. I can prescribe medication to stimulate milk production.

Chloe: Oh, that would be amazing. Thank you. I would do anything for this little girl.

Dr. Lee: Nicole walker is very lucky to have you. You really do care about this baby.

Chloe: Yeah. More and more every day.

Abigail: You know a safe cracker?

Gabi: Maureen's retired. Mostly. I mean, sometimes it pays to have friends in low places.

Abigail: Okay, so, how do we figure out how to get to the safe without anybody knowing?

Gabi: You know, sonny once told me that Henderson takes a sleeping pill around this time every night. Like to fall asleep watching the "housewives."

Abigail: That's so weird.

Gabi: Yeah, it is, but it's good for us because if we wait around 10, 15 minutes, he's gonna be out cold and then I know how I can get past security and we can use the key that you copied to get us into the mansion.

Abigail: Okay, so... you hit the safe, I'll watch your back, and I'll keep a lookout for Deimos or anybody else that's in the house while you get in there. Deal?

Gabi: Deal. And we have to find the device, destroy it before someone we care about gets killed.

Drew: Wait, wait, wait, wait.

Jennifer: Oh, my goodness.

Drew: Jennifer--

Jennifer: Shane, what in the world are you doing in there.

Drew: No, no, no. Don't--don't call me Shane. I'm not Shane. I'm drew Donovan.

Nicole: [Gasps] His twin brother?

Drew: Yeah. [Laughs] Jennifer Horton. It must have been years.

Jennifer: No, I feel like it's been decades. Wha--why are you here?

Drew: Why are you here? Who sent you?

Nicole: No one. No--no one sent me. I--

Drew: Wait a minute. Where--where--where am I? You're-- you're not supposed to be here.

Jennifer: You're in Salem. You're on the docks. Who were you expecting?

Drew: Deimos Kiriakis. He--he said I'd-- wait, where is he? Have you seen him?

Nicole: Wait a minute. No, he's--he's not here. Is that how you ended up in t his container? Did he kidnap you?

Drew: No, no. Well, yes. I mean... [Stammers] Listen, you have to get me out of here. They can't find me here.

Jennifer: I'd love to help you, but I can't. I'm here to find a key. And if I don't find it, some really bad things could happen people. So I need to find it.

[Door slams]

Drew: [Whimpers] They can't find me here. Jennifer, please. I'm begging you.

Jennifer: Go!

Drew: You've got to get me out of here.

Nicole: Go! Just go!

Chad: Hey, I think-- I think that he was poisoned. Um, check the champagne.

We'll do everything we can for him.

Chad: André, they're gonna take you the hospital. Okay? They're gonna take good care of you. I'm gonna be right there. Okay? Be right with you. Deimos.

[Suspenseful music]

[Line trilling]

[Cell phone ringing]

Deimos: Is the shipment secured?

Gio: We got a problem, boss.

Deimos: What do you mean, "a problem"?

Gio: I went to pier 119 to pick up the key, but the deliver was moved to pier 27.

Deimos: Did you find it? Is the cargo there?

Gio: It's here, but it's open. The key is gone.

Drew: [Groaning] Wait. Wait.

Nicole: Slow down.

Drew: Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait.

Nicole: Okay.

Drew: Wait. Wait. Wait. I can't go any further. I feel very dizzy.

Nicole: Okay. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Come. Come with me. Oh, here. Over here. All right, calm down. Sit down. Sit down right here. Listen to me. Listen to me. You're not gonna move.

Drew: No.

Nicole: And you're not gonna talk to anyone. I'm gonna get you some food and water, okay?

Nicole: And when I come back, we're gonna find you a safe place and you are gonna tell me exactly why you were in that crate.

[Suspenseful music]

JJ: According to the dock worker, nothing was removed from the ship. So it should all still be here.

Lani: Look at this.

JJ: This was a delivery for titan, but it's empty.

Lani: Whatever was in this, I mean, someone got to it first.

[Line trilling]

[Cell phone ringing]

Abigail: Hey, Chad. Where are you?

Chad: Um...at the hospital.

Abigail: You're at the hospital? What--what is it? What happened?

Chad: It's, um, André. He's in--he's in bad shape. Can you meet me?

Abigail: What happened to him? What is it?

Chad: I'll explain everything when you get here. Just--I-I-- I need you.

Abigail: Yeah, of course. I'm on my way. [Sighs] Something happened to André. So I've gotta go see Chad at the hospital. I don't know, maybe we need to just wait on this whole thing.

Gabi: Oh, I don't know. We really gotta do this thing tonight. You know what? I can get the Orwell on my own.

Abigail: Are you sure?

Gabi: Yeah, I'll just leave, um, Arianna with Lucas. It's on the way and then I'll be in and out of that safe before anybody knows I was there. And I'll call you once I get it.

Abigail: Okay. Good luck, Gabi.

Gabi: Thanks. Go, go. Chad needs you. Go.

[Dario groans]

Nicole: Help is on the way. You're gonna be fine. Just fine. You have to be. Why is all this happening? This is out of control. Deimos retaliate because you sent some guy after him? I mean, when does it stop? God--does someone have to die? This is ridiculous.

[Sirens in distance]

Nicole: Oh, God. Thank God. Yes. Just hold on, Dario, okay? Just hold on. Hold on for me.

[Sirens approaching]

JJ: It's frustrating 'cause that ship docked less than ten minutes before we arrived. Which means whoever emptied out that crate was just a couple of minutes ahead of us.

Lani: They knew what they were looking for.

JJ: This town is ready to explode. We're the only ones trying to keep the peace.

[Radio chirps]

JJ: Dispatch just got two calls for ambulances. Two victims. One assault, one suspected poison.

Lani: Poison?

JJ: Remember that building tension you were worried about earlier? I think it just blew. Mom? What are you doing here?

[Dramatic music]

Abigail: Hey.

Chad: Hey. Hey. Thanks for coming.

Abigail: Yeah, of course. [Sighs] He's really important to both of us. I mean, what happened?

Chad: He was, um-- he was poisoned.

Abigail: What?

Chad: I don't know. We were sitting there. We were having our dinner meeting and he just--he took a gulp of champagne, he grabbed his throat, he started choking or-- fell over and I tried to give him CPR, but there was nothing I could do.

Abigail: Oh, my God. I mean, is he gonna be okay?

Chad: We don't know. I mean, but he was right, Abby. I mean, I, you know--I told him that we couldn't retaliate and I made him promise that he wouldn't go after Deimos. And--and because of that, Deimos got to him first. And if something happens to him--

Abigail: No, no. You can't think that this is your fault for one second. Okay? You're just trying to do the very best that you could. You thought you were doing the right thing. Okay?

Chad: Hey. Hey. Is--how's André?

Dr. Rose: Still unconscious, but he's breathing on his own.

Chad: Okay. Was it poison?

Dr. Rose: It appears that way.

Chad: Antidote?

Dr. Rose: We don't know yet, but we pumped his stomach. Hopefully we got to him before too much of the toxin made it into his bloodstream.

Chad: And we just-- uh, please let us know if anything changes.

Abigail: Thank you, doctor. I mean, I just can't believe that someone would do this.

Chad: Not someone. Deimos Kiriakis. Son of a bitch is probably celebrating.

Abigail: Chad... you need to leave Deimos to the police, okay? I'm gonna call JJ, but right now I need you to stay here with me and stay with--

Chad: Nothing I can do here.

Abigail: Please. Where are you going?

Chad: I'm gonna go find Deimos and make that son of a bitch pay for what he did to my brother.

Belle: Hey.

Chloe: Hey.

Belle: Popping meds in public is probably not a good idea.

Chloe: I have a prescription for these.

Belle: It doesn't matter. What if Nicole or Justin have someone watching you? Chloe, they're trying to prove that you're unfit, so if you want to keep custody of holly you need to watch every single thing you do. And popping pills to take the edge off is not ideal.

Chloe: Are you finished lecturing me?

Belle: Is it sinking in?

Chloe: Well, no, counselor, I think you need to get your facts straight.

Belle: What is this?

Chloe: It stimulates milk production. So that I can nurse holly.

Belle: You're trying to nurse Nicole's baby? Are you out of your mind?!

Nicole: I did everything I could to stop the bleeding. How bad is the damage?

Dr. Northfield: His liver and kidney were both lacerated. We won't know how severely until we operate.

Nicole: But you'll be able to fix him, right?

Dr. Northfield: We'll do our best. I'm going to go prep for surgery.

Nicole: Thank you.

[Dramatic music]

[Line trilling]

[Cell phone ringing]

Deimos: Nicole, I would love to talk right now, but it's isn't really not a good time.

Nicole: Why? Are you plotting a hit on someone else?

Deimos: What are you talking about?

Nicole: Dario Hernandez was attacked outside his club. He was almost dead when I found him.

Deimos: When you found him?

Nicole: Yes. He was barely conscious, but before he passed out he managed to say one thing: "Deimos."

Deimos: Where are you right now?

Nicole: I'm at the hospital with Dario. He's about to have surgery that may or may not save his life.

Deimos: I'm gonna come and see you.

Nicole: Did you do this?

Deimos: Why don't we discuss this when I get there? All right?

Nicole: Tell me. Did you do this to Dario?

Deimos: Nicole, there's no point in talking about this over the phone. I'll be right there.

Nicole: No! I don't want you here.

Deimos: Look, you have to know why Dario would accuse me of this. Right?

Nicole: So you're saying it wasn't you?

Deimos: I am not thinking about revenge right now. We're getting married soon. What I'm concerned about is getting holly back into your arms. That's my priority so that we can be a family. All right? That's what I care about, Nicole. Believe me, I don't give a damn about Dario Hernandez or anyone else. It's you. You're who I care about, Nicole.

Abigail: Chad, please, don't do this. Please.

Chad: Deimos doesn't get to hurt my family and walk away from it.

Abigail: No, but please, no. Listen to me. I know that you are hurt and I know that you are angry, but please, just for one second, can you think about what you said to André? He wanted to fight back and you said this would only lead to someone getting killed.

Chad: Yeah, well, what if I got him killed? André was right about Deimos.

Abigail: You heard what the doctor said.

Chad: I don't care what the doctor said. Deimos tried to kill my brother.

Abigail: So you're just gonna go and you're gonna try to kill him?

Chad: Well, I have to do what I can to protect my family.

Abigail: Chad-- I know that you don't want this kind of a war. Listen to me. I know. I mean, this is why you took over DiMera. So that you could erase all of the crimes that your father committed. You said that you-- you said you wanted to create a legacy that Thomas would be proud of. And I know you can still do that. Please.

Chad: What if that was you in there fighting for your life?

Abigail: What?

Chad: [Crying] I invited you to the dinner and you could've been at the table and what if you would have had a glass of champagne?

Abigail: No. No, you can't think like that. Okay, Chad, listen. Revenge, it's not gonna solve anything. So can you please, just for one second, stop? Just stop and think about this. For me. Can you think about Thomas and our family and what this will do if you allow it to keep escalating?

Chad: I would never want anything to happen to you.

Abigail: Okay. Okay, so, just stay here. Please just stay here with me.

Chad: Okay, I'll stay here.

Abigail: Okay. Why don't we just go in and sit with André then?

Chad: Okay. Um...I gotta-- I gotta sign some papers first.

Abigail: Okay. I love you.

[Dramatic music]

Your fiancé send you to see if André was dead yet?

Nicole: What do you mean? What happened to André?

Chloe: I carried holly for all those months. Why wouldn't I want to nurse her?

Belle: For starters, she's not your biological daughter.

Chloe: Yeah, well, her biological mother is in an unsafe environment. I thought you agreed. You said you'd do whatever you can to help me keep her.

Belle: I'm just saying, even with your name on the birth certificate, this is an uphill battle for us.

Chloe: [Sighs] I know. Nicole, she stabbed a man because she thought he might be attacking her fiancé. Would you want your daughter living in a house like that?

Belle: No and that's why I'm helping you. But nursing is a very intimate experience between a mother and a baby. You're gonna become bonded.

Chloe: I already am bonded.

Belle: Yeah, I see that. But what if the day comes that you have to hand her over?

Chloe: If that day comes, then we'll deal with that then. But for right now, holly needs me and I'm gonna take care of her the best way I know how.

Chad: You didn't know about André?

Nicole: Know what?

Chad: Look, why are you here?

Nicole: Well, I found Dario outside club TBD. He had been beaten up badly.

Chad: Somebody tried to kill Dario?

Nicole: I don't know. They took off before I got there.

Chad: Did he say anything?

Nicole: He was barely conscious. He was bleeding out. I don't even think he knew what happened.

Chad: No, no, no, he said something to you, didn't he? He said it was Deimos that did it.

Nicole: No, Deimos said it wasn't him.

Chad: Yeah, like it wasn't him that tried to poison my brother.

Nicole: Oh, my God. André was poisoned?

Chad: Yeah, your fiancé was a busy man tonight.

Nicole: How do you know? How do you know it was Deimos?

Chad: You're smart, Nicole, what do you think?

[Door opens]

[Suspenseful music]

Gabi: Safe cracking for dummies...

Jennifer: Uh, Adrienne and I have been just working half the night on a story for "the spectator." So I-I got some supplies. Are you working on a case?

JJ: I can't tell you that. What's the big story about?

Jennifer: I can't tell you that, either.

Lani: Well, that was productive.

Jennifer: Okay, I'll just-- I'll see you at home. Okay, take care.

JJ: You, too.

Jennifer: All right. Bye. Drew?

Drew: Oh, thank goodness it's you. Who was that?

Jennifer: That was my son. He's a detective.

Drew: A cop? No, no, no, no, no, you-- [Stammers] I can't-- not the police.

Jennifer: No, it's okay. No, no, it's okay. It's okay. Just drink this. Come on. All right, now let's go. Let's get you some place safe. Come on. You got it?

[Drew groans]

Gabi: Hey, Chad. here. Sonny had Arianna and she left some of her toys so I came to find-- you know the one with the wand and the castle? I saw the safe was open and that's so weird so I-I came to close it and some of the photos actually--

Chad: Stop... lying to me. What are you holding?

Gabi: Holding?

Chad: Mm-hmm. See, that belongs to me.

Gabi: Does it? Does it? I mean, what is this thing anyways? A hard drive? I saw it in there and I was curious about it.

Chad: That's funny 'cause I think you know exactly what that is. And I think that's why you've been acting weird around me the last couple days, too. Are you gonna give this to your brother? Father?

Gabi: No. No, I-I would never do that. Why would you say that?

Chad: Stop. Gabi, if you know what is good for you, give it to me.

Gabi: No, you can't have it.

Jennifer: I think we should call Shane. I know that the ISA could help us, drew.

Drew: Screw the ISA. What have they ever done for me except ruin my life? No, and as for my dear, darling brother, we haven't spoken in years. Don't supposed he even cares I'm in trouble.

Jennifer: Well, we should at least call the police. I mean, you can trust JJ. I'm telling you.

Drew: No, Jennifer, no police. That is just not an option for me, don't you understand? I'm facing charges.

Jennifer: You committed a crime?

Drew: Well, I'm wanted by Interpol. It's very complicated and not my fault.

Jennifer: Is this how Deimos got you in the container? Did he blackmail you?

Drew: Uh, it's a very long, very unpleasant story.

Jennifer: Oh, this is my favorite kind.

Drew: Listen, Jennifer, I'm trying to warn you. The things I'm mixed up in, I mean, the stakes could not be any higher. Oh, this is so much bigger than you would've realized when you started looking around those docks.

Jennifer: Right. I went there to find a key, but we rushed out of there so quickly I never got a chance to.

Drew: Oh, well, you needn't worry about that.

Jennifer: No, you don't understand. There is something big happening in Salem right now and it is becoming dangerous for people that I care about. The Kiriakis family's involved. I mean, this could be the biggest story that I have ever published. So if I can find that key I can--

Drew: Jennifer! Jennifer! That's what I'm trying to tell you.

Jennifer: What?

Drew: I am the key.

[Dramatic music]

[Monitors beeping]

Nicole: God... I don't know what to believe. I mean, did Deimos just lie to me? I mean, it can't be a coincidence that two of his enemies were wiped out at once. But I have to find out if he's responsible for this. And for poisoning André. But if he is... maybe Chloe's right. Maybe I shouldn't be bringing my beautiful baby girl into that world. Daniel's daughter deserves better. I deserve better.

[Monitors beeping]

Nicole: I told you not to come here.

Deimos: I was worried about you. Tonight must've been very upsetting for you.

Nicole: Upsetting? Dario could die. You know, I didn't stab some guy to save your life so that you could turn around and put a hit on Dario.

Deimos: Before we get into this just--

Nicole: Oh, did you poison André DiMera, too? Hmm? Who else did you try murdering tonight? Eduardo? Kate?

Deimos: Nicole--

Nicole: Don't even try to deny it because I know what you did. This hospital's filled with your victims. At least show me some respect by being honest with me.

Deimos: All right, fine. You want honesty? I'm at war, Nicole. We are at war.

[Nicole scoffs]

Deimos: And perhaps you've noticed, but they've been coming after me. André sunk one of my ships. Dario tried to kill me.

Nicole: Yeah, okay, well, there are other ways to fight back.

Deimos: Oh, really? What ways? What? Should I use my words? Should we talk it out? What?

Nicole: I'm supposed to be getting married to you. I am fighting for custody of holly.

Deimos: Yes, I know and that's why I'm doing this. For the three of us. To keep you and holly safe.

Nicole: No, that is another lie. You are doing this for yourself because you want that stupid device. All you want is money and power.

Deimos: No. No! That is not true. What I want is you. If I'm guilty of anything, it's wanting to give you everything.

Nicole: Do you really think I want to bring my little girl into this world? Holly is Daniel's daughter! He's the best man I have ever known. He is the love of my life.

Deimos: Yeah, yeah. I have certainly heard that. And what am I?

Nicole: You're a murderer. You were supposed to help me bring holly home, but Chloe's right. Chloe was right to keep my daughter away from you.

Deimos: What are you saying?

Nicole: I'm saying that you're the only thing standing in the way of Chloe giving me back my daughter. And when she sees that I've walked away from you, she will finally let holly come home to me.

[Monitors beeping]

[Somber music]

Abigail: Hope you can hear me in there. Look, I know that you're not a perfect person. I know that you've hurt a lot of people. Even people that I love, but I also-- I know you've got a big heart, too. You stood by me when I thought-- thought my life was over and, you know, you kept my secret. Even when you knew it could've ruined your relationship with your brother. You are the one that was there when-- God, when I almost didn't make it. So... will you let me return the favor? Okay/ come on, André. Come back to us, please. Chad needs you and so do I. Come back to your family.

Jennifer: Okay, so you started developing this technology which seemed like a long shot until you got into it and you realized that you created something very unique. Something that could change the world.

Drew: Bingo. Well, no one was more surprised than me. I mean, you remember I was always the "bad twin." I was the one who'd never measured up to saintly Shane. But when I left Salem, I kind of stumbled into my calling. Turns out I have this uncanny knack with computers. Computer science. So I fiddled around for a while and then, bingo, one day I came up with a game-changer.

Jennifer: Right, the ultimate surveillance technology. I mean, you could see and hear anyone in the entire world whenever you wanted.

Drew: I called her the Orwell, hm?

Jennifer: But you had to know how dangerous this could be if it got into the wrong hands.

Drew: Yeah, but back then I didn't care. I mean, you know, I was never one to follow the rules.

Jennifer: What changed?

Drew: Jennifer, I fell in love. I, uh-- I met and married the woman of my dreams. My Camilla. And she-- she made me realize the world wasn't ready for the Orwell, so I-- I abandoned the project.

Jennifer: Okay so this is when the DiMeras stole it?

Drew: Yeah. That scourge of a family. [Scoffs] At least Stefano DiMera's dead and gone for good.

Jennifer: Oh, about that...

Drew: Well, what? What about that?

Jennifer: Never mind. Let's just continue with your story. So, you couldn't get back into the states because of the Interpol situation. Which is why Deimos tracked you down and arranged to smuggle you in?

Drew: Yeah, I wanted to say no, then he threatened the one thing that matters to me in the world.

Jennifer: Camilla.

Drew: Deimos knew she was my weak spot.

Jennifer: Well, what does he want you to do?

Drew: Finish the Orwell project of course. Jennifer, this thing's gonna be worth millions-- no, I'm sorry, billions on the open market.

Jennifer: No, you can't do that. You cannot finish this device. Not for Deimos Kiriakis.

Drew: Well, you don't have to tell me that. That's why I'm here. That's why I'm with you. Jennifer, you have to help me. You--you can't let him find me.

Chad: Do you have any idea how important that drive?

Gabi: I have a pretty good guess.

Chad: Do you know what it can do?

Gabi: Look, I know that a lot of people are trying to get their hands on it, but listen, we can debate this all night or we can get the hell outta here before we get caught. All right?

[Front door opens]

[Dramatic music]

Chloe: You promised you'd help me keep holly. I'm counting on you.

Belle: I just think that you need to be careful how you handle this situation.

Chloe: I think I feel something.

Belle: What?

Chloe: I think my milk's starting to come in.

Belle: So soon? Are you sure?

[Holly coos]

Chloe: Yeah, no, I'm-- I'm pretty sure this is the same feeling I had when I nursed parker. Oh, come here. Okay.

[Holly cries]

Chloe: All right, let's try this.

Belle: I am gonna leave you to it and, uh, we'll talk about this later.

Chloe: All right, sweet girl, let's try this. You hungry? You hungry? Come on. You can do it. You--oh. There you go. Good girl. Did you make that?

Chloe: Yes. My beautiful girl. You're so sweet. Mommy loves you so much.

Nicole: You have got to be kidding me. Give me my baby, you crazy bitch.
