Episode #12923 ~ Victor & Deimos gather all of the Kiriakis men to convince them to band together; Victor drops a bombshell on Sonny; Nicole warns Chloe she could be making a huge mistake; Eduardo is upset when he learns Dario is working for Deimos.

Dario: Hello?

Deimos: It's me. Do you have anything to report yet?

Dario: Actually, yeah, I do. I'll send over what I found.

Deimos: Excellent. Thanks.

[Knocking at door]

[Dramatic music]

I heard that you were pregnant.

Chloe: Well, that's, uh, surprising.

Deimos: Is it true?

Chloe: It's none of your business.

Deimos: Are you carrying my baby, Chloe?

Chloe: No, Philip is the father.

Deimos: That's impossible. You're barely back in Salem. The two of you couldn't have been seeing each other that long.

Chloe: You aren't in my life, Deimos. You don't know anything about me. Philip has been in my life for a long time now--before you ever were and after.

Deimos: I don't believe you.

Chloe: What's wrong?

Philip: I just got an offer that, uh, kind of threw me.

Chloe: For the record label?

Philip: No... Deimos invited us to come and live in the mansion... until those convicts are caught, anyway. Chloe, I think we should say yes.

Nicole: Chloe?

[Knocking at door]

Nicole: It's Nicole.

Chloe: Ugh. Hey, you look worse than I feel.

Nicole: What do you have, morning sickness?

Chloe: No, physically I feel fine. It's emotionally.

Nicole: Uh, what's--what's going on, what's happening? Where are you going?

Chloe: Well, you'll never believe this. I'm moving into the Kiriakis mansion.

Nicole: What?

Chloe: Yeah, apparently Deimos has suggested that for our safety, we all move there. And Philip agrees that we'll be safer there, and he'll be able to work things out with his father.

Nicole: Is Deimos moving out?

Chloe: No.

Nicole: No. Okay, let me get this straight. You don't want Deimos to know that he's the father of that baby, yet you decided to move in his house?

Chloe: [Sighs] I know, but Philip is insisting, and after everything he's doing for me and this baby, I feel like I owe him one.

Nicole: Well, then, send him a gift card. This is Deimos' idea. He wants everyone he knows to move in that house, so he can watch them. He wants me to move in the house.

Chloe: He does?

Nicole: Yes. There are three armed killers on the loose. And this is--this is Deimos' big idea? To open a b&b? Listen to me, Chloe, please. You are safer if you just get out of town. He's already suspicious of you and Philip. And if you ask me, this is nothing but a big, fat trap.

Deimos: Great work, Dario. This could be how I find out if I really am the father of that baby.

Dario: Glad to be of help.

Deimos: Keep watching Chloe-- every move she makes.

Dario: Whatever you say, Deimos.

Eduardo: What the hell are you doing working for Deimos Kiriakis?

Brady: Any news?

Deimos: Not about Orpheus and friends. We still have no idea where they are.

Victor: What a surprise. Three sociopaths escape from prison and head to Salem, turn a wedding into a hostage situation, attempt to strangle one woman and shoot another one--yet they are happily still at large. Hell, they could be staying at the Salem inn ordering room service, and roman Brady still couldn't find them.

Brady: [Sighs] Maybe we should keep the ranting at a minimum.

Deimos: I can't help but agree. We're all going to have to show considerable restraint. Four generations of Kiriakises under the same roof--sure to prove to be a test.

Sony: I feel like we're the Corleones. You know--going to the mattresses.

Victor: This isn't funny. We, our wives, our children, are under attack here.

Sony: Yeah, well, I know it isn't funny, uncle vic.

Victor: Xander seems to have had a psychotic break.

Justin: Do you think?

Victor: And the deranged Weston--poor Ben didn't fall far from the tree.

Brady: Well, I'm glad you decided not to rant today.

Victor: I rant so I won't worry. I don't care what happens to me. But they're not coming after me; they're coming after people I care about.

[Ominous music]

[Cocks gun]

Dario: What makes you think I'm looking for Deimos?

Eduardo: Oh, I don't know, maybe it was when you said, "whatever you say, Mr. Kiriakis."

Dario: Is there an eavesdropping course in assassin school?

Eduardo: Hey, how can you be kissing up to that guy after all the things he's done?

Dario: You know, I really love these father-son chit-chats that we have.

Eduardo: Listen to me. Deimos Kiriakis is a dangerous man. You may think you're in his league, but you're not.

Dario: You know, all this Deimos-bashing--I don't think it's out of concern for my welfare. I think it's because Deimos stole the beautiful ms. Roberts from you. So I guess you're not in his league either.

Kate: What are you doing sneaking up behind me? I could've shot you.

Andre: So I noticed. I heard you had an encounter with Mr. Weston last night. It must have been terrifying.

Kate: No. No, I wasn't scared. I was mad. [Stammering] Oh... it was nerve-wracking.

Andre: Let's talk about that, but after you lay down your arms.

Kate: Oh, sorry.

Andre: Well, I'm glad that you're packing. Hell hath no fury like a redneck scorned.

Kate: I was such a fool to get involved with that man.

Andre: [Inaudible] We've all had the experience of being attracted to the wrong person.

Kate: Yeah, well, I'd like to be able to say that I sensed something under that good old boy exterior--something--

Andre: What, a cesspool?

Kate: He was so terrible last night. He said terrible things. He admitted changing the paternity test so it would look like Ben was Thomas's father. It's all so sick. I almost feel sorry for Ben.

Andre: You feel sorry for the man who killed your grandson?

Kate: Clyde made Ben the monster that he is. Chad has to be careful. I was secondary. Chad and Thomas--they're Clyde's primary targets.

Andre: The DiMera mansion has been upgraded to a fortress. I don't think Chad would let anything happen to that little boy.

Kate: I just wish he'd killed Clyde when he had the chance.

Andre: What--where are you going?

Kate: I'm hungry. I'm gonna get something to eat.

Andre: Clyde Weston is still at large, and you're going out to lunch?

Kate: Well, I'm not gonna take the covers and pull 'em over my head and hide, now, am I? Look, I tried to hire extra security. The Kiriakises have hired every able-bodied security person in the Midwest, so...

Andre: Perhaps I could join you.

Kate: Oh, do you think I need you to protect me?

Andre: No, I was thinking that I need you to protect me.

Kate: Ah.

Andre: [Chuckles]

[Tense music]

Chloe: Well, great. I'm walking into a big trap. Thanks for that pep talk, Nicole--the moral support.

Nicole: Chloe, you are going to have Deimos' baby. He already thinks you and Philip are lying. Why else do you think he wants you to move into that house? And please don't give me any crap that he's worried about everyone's safety.

Chloe: I don't know. Philip wants to. He wants to make peace with his father.

Nicole: Uh-huh. We've established now how this benefits Deimos. How does it help Philip? And what do you get out of it? [Sighs] Chloe, honey, listen to me. You need to hear me right now. Moving into that house under these circumstances--it sounds like something I would do.

Chloe: Well, now you're just trying to scare me. You know what? I am scared. I don't know--I don't know if I can pull this off. You know Deimos. He's so good at reading people, especially women--especially me.

Nicole: Okay, then don't do this.

Chloe: [Sighs] Well, I-- I don't have a choice. I mean, if Philip moves in there and I don't, then this whole story of us finding each other and reconnecting is just gonna blow up in my face.

Nicole: Yeah, okay, I didn't think of it that way.

Chloe: I don't want to do this, but I think that I need to, okay? And I am scared.

Nicole: Well, then, a promise is a promise. I will back you any way I can.

Chloe: Okay, well, then, I want you to do more than that. I want you to take Deimos up on his offer. We should both move in.

Justin: Here you go.

Victor: No, thank you. We need to keep our wits about us.

Brady: Maggie said it would be easier for all of us to talk together honestly in private.

Justin: I agree with her.

Sonny: Is Maggie here?

Brady: And Theresa and Tate. So my whole family's moved in, so obviously I think it's a pretty good idea.

Deimos: There's plenty of room for you and your father.

Sonny: Eh, no, no. I'm not gonna do that. I just moved, you know? I'm not gonna move again.

Victor: That's a lame excuse.

Sonny: Well, I thought it was a lot nicer than saying I don't want all of you breathing down my neck, asking me innocent questions about my social life and if I'm dating. And frankly, Deimos, I don't like you or trust you. And I'm kind of disappointed that uncle Vic turned around so quickly.

Victor: If I can put up with him, so can you.

Sonny: I just don't want to.

Victor: You have to do this for your family.

Justin: Uncle Vic, he's a grown man.

Victor: He's in danger.

Sonny: I will look both ways before I cross the street.

Victor: Clyde Weston tried to kill you once.

Sonny: What?

Victor: He's the one that had you stabbed last year, and he's gonna try and kill you again. I can't lose you, sonny. I just can't. Music: Suspenseful to do with Kate. This is about you. I don't want you to be Deimos' errand boy, or anybody else's, for that matter.

Dario: I couldn't care less about what you think. I can learn from him. I can become something better than a glorified bartender.

Eduardo: Yeah, yeah. Everybody wants a path to something better. I get that. But believe me, Deimos is not the way. Better you should come work for me.

Dario: I already do.

Eduardo: Oh, I don't mean the bar.

Dario: Then what the hell are you talking about?

Eduardo: I can't really get into it now. But you be smart. I'll be in touch.

[Foreboding music]

Nicole: You're trying to talk me into moving in with victor? A man I don't like and don't trust?

Chloe: Well, think of all the time that you get to spend with parker.

Nicole: Well, that's below the belt.

Chloe: [Sighs] I'm sorry, Nicole. I just--I need your help. Come on, Deimos can't find out that Philip and I are not really--

Nicole: Lying?

Chloe: And he definitely can't find out that this baby's his. You know that.

Nicole: Chloe, I would do anything for you--anything but move into that house. Oh, okay, okay. Look, I know that you and Philip can do this. But when it comes to Deimos, I don't know what the hell I'm doing.

Sonny: If you all knew Clyde had me stabbed, why didn't anyone tell me?

Justin: We didn't all know that. So you made a unilateral decision to keep this information from us.

Victor: Damn well right I did. You were still in the hospital. I couldn't see how it could help to tell you, and it certainly could hurt. You've been through so much. Then when Weston went to prison, I figured that was it. Well, now he's out. I need to know you're safe, sonny--all of you.

Sonny: I hate that you always get what you want.

Victor: Thank you-- and thank you.

Justin: Really? You're thanking Deimos for letting us live in the house he extorted in exchange for Maggie's life?

Victor: If I can come to terms with the past, so can you, Justin. Right now, I'm more concerned about the present. We have to stop talking. We have to get the whole family under one roof.

Philip: Does that include me?

[Dramatic music]

I had that dream again --

Andre: You're a remarkable woman. I mean, last night, you had a near-death experience. Today, it's martinis and cheeseburgers.

Kate: Martinis and cheeseburgers and a gun in my purse. But you know, I don't think even Clyde Weston has the temerity to burst into Brady pub in broad daylight

[Cell phone beeps]

Kate: It's Chad. He knows I'm worried about him. He keeps texting me to let me know that he and Thomas are fine.

Andre: You two are close.

Kate: Of course we are. His daddy blackmailed me into marriage. We're family.

Andre: Ah, it's more than that. You're always taking him under your wing. I'm very happy about that. Kate... [Sighs] Because you two are so close, I was wondering if you could coordinate a rapprochement.

Kate: You want to be part of his family? You want to be there for him?

[Dramatic music]

You know, if tony had asked me that question, I would have had no problem answering yes.

Chloe: I'm sorry. I know that I'm being selfish. I'm just looking at it from my own point of view.

Nicole: Neither one of us is known for our altruism. But still, I--I just need to keep a certain distance from Deimos.

Chloe: Well, all my reasoning isn't selfish. I mean, as long as Xander's still out there, you're not safe.

Nicole: I'll be careful. And Deimos got security for me, so I don't want you to worry about me. I want you to worry about parker and the baby.

Chloe: Are you really afraid of Deimos?

Nicole: I'm afraid of... making another painful mistake. I'm afraid of his intensity. And I'm afraid of my truly frightening track record.

Chloe: Do you think that he's really in love with you?

Nicole: Even if he is, I-- I still can't trust him.

Victor: What are you doing here?

Philip: Good to see you too, pops.

Deimos: Philip, hello. Where's Chloe?

Victor: Wait--Chloe?

Philip: She'll be here a little later.

Deimos: Yes, with everything going on, I didn't have a chance to tell you. I invited Philip to move in too, with Chloe and parker, of course.

Victor: You didn't tell me because you knew how I'd react. I won't have it.

Deimos: Victor, Philip's sin, in your eyes, is that he worked for me. If you can forgive me, why can't you forgive him?

Victor: Because there's a difference. He's my son, and he betrayed me. Maybe when you have a son, you'll understand.

Justin: You just said the whole family is in danger. Well, Philip is family. If he can't stay, neither can I.

Philip: Thanks.

Victor: Oh, this has nothing to do with you, Justin. This is between me and my son.

Deimos: No, this is a family decision, victor. And not only are you greatly outnumbered, but Maggie wants Philip here too. So you can at least do this for her.

Victor: Does she know his concubine is included in the package?

Brady: Oh, jeez.

Philip: Chloe's not a concubine, and she's not part of the package. She's part of my life.

Victor: Then god help you.

Philip: I don't care how you treat me, but you will treat Chloe with respect.

Victor: Respect? For that--

Justin: Victor, victor--

Philip: Listen, you old, smug, hypocritical--

Victor: Don't call me old.

Philip: If you don't treat Chloe with respect--if you don't make parker feel welcome-- I'll call you anything I damn well please..

Victor: You see? We've been here for two minutes, and already we're at each other's throats.

Justin: Let's get some air, okay? We need some air.

Victor: I don't need air. I need him gone.

Philip: Do you think I want to be under the same roof as you?

Justin: You need to stay calm for Maggie's sake, okay?

Deimos: No, what he needs to do is remember that he's a guest in my house.

Sonny: All right, this--

Victor: In your house?

Deimos: Yes, my house.

Victor: This is my house. You stole it from me.

Justin: Victor--

Victor: You poisoned Maggie, and then you bartered for her life.

Deimos: It doesn't matter how I got it, it's my house.

Justin: Calm down, victor! [Slams desk]

Brady: Gentlemen! Shut up!

[Tense music]

Eduardo: John, I'm doing everything I can to find those three creeps. Yeah, I know know but-- man, if they do something terrible, the blood will be on my hands.

Andre: Tony's dead.

Kate: He was your brother. I think there's part of him inside you. And if you could tap into that, maybe I could believe in you.

Andre: Food for thought.

Kate: Look, the bottom line is, Chad is very important to me, and after everything he's been through, my protective maternal instinct has kicked in big time. And frankly, you haven't treated him very well in the past.

Andre: Well, then you'll just have to make sure to keep an eye on me that I don't hurt him. Oh, Kate. Whatever, but I just want to say, the truth is... I don't want to hurt him. I want him to be part of the family, just like tony would've.

[Dramatic music]

Kate: I'll think about it.

Andre: Well, that's all I can ask.

Eduardo: Hi, there. You know, I don't believe we've met. I'm, uh, Eddie.

Andre: Oh. Andre DiMera.

Eduardo: Yeah. So I heard about the, uh, thing that happened last night with you.

Kate: Oh, you mean my tête-à-tête with Clyde Weston and his gun?

Eduardo: Yeah, that, yeah. I just wanted to, uh, say that I'm really sorry.

Kate: What should you be sorry for?

Nicole: So do you--do you want me to drive you to the mansion?

Chloe: [Sighs] Well, I'm not going there right away. I'm gonna run some errands first.

Nicole: Oh. Do you mind if I tag along? I mean, I don't really have anything to do right now.

Chloe: That would be nice.

Nicole: Well, let me help you with this.

Chloe: No, I got it--oh. Oh.

Nicole: What's wrong?

Chloe: [Laughs] Nothing. I just felt a kick. Oh, I'm sorry, Nicole. I shouldn't have said anything.

Nicole: Uh, no, I... it's fine. I'm--I'm okay, really. I'm glad you said something. It really is a miracle, isn't it?

Chloe: I'm really happy you're here.

Nicole: Me too.

[Uplifting music]

Brady: You know, like most problems in life, I think this one can be settled with a small piece of duct tape-- right over your mouth. No, no, no, listen. I think everybody's going to agree that you're talked enough.

Justin: Amen to that. Brady, you have the floor.

Brady: [Sighs] Here's the other thing I think we can all agree on. You love us, and that's why you want us here in this house, right?

Philip: Not all of us.

Brady: And let's take a look at that. Granddad, think about this. Philip betrayed you, right? So you want him out there. You want him exposed, right? What does that tell Orpheus and Xander and all those freaks out there? It tells them that we're not a united front. It tells them that they don't have to go after each one of us. They can just cherry-pick us. They take him out. They kill Philip. And then they wait for the next big Kiriakis feud to happen, because there always is a next big Kiriakis feud, until the next one of us storms off, right?

Sonny: Which would probably be me.

Brady: Which would give Clyde another opportunity at sonny, right? Here's one for you. How about they go after parker? How about they go after your grandson?

Victor: I never said he couldn't stay here.

Brady: Do you really think Chloe is going to hand her son over to you and wave good-bye at the doorstep? No, they will be left out there too. I don't know about you, but I don't think those three freaks out there--Orpheus, Xander, Clyde--I don't think they're gonna draw a moral line in the sand and all of a sudden decide that they're not gonna go after an innocent little kid. They're gonna kill him too. You want to be the one to tell Maggie that her grandson is dead--Daniel's son? But you had a good reason: Because Chloe ticked you off, because Philip gets on your nerves.

Victor: All right, you've said enough.

Brady: Listen, I despise that man over there, okay? I don't trust him because of what he did to you and because of what he did to Maggie. But I made peace with him, because I'm going to stay in this house, because it's for the sake of my son. Our families--that's the safety that we should be thinking about right now, and we're not. If I can deal with him, you can deal with Philip and Chloe. We need to put our pasts behind us, gentlemen, and we need to think about the future--the future of our children. We need to be men.

Sonny: He's right. Damn it, he's right.

[Dramatic music]

[Phone ringing]

Nicole: Oh, it's roman. Hey, what's up? I figured as much. Anything else? Okay, thanks. Roman said he couldn't trace Xander's call.

Chloe: Oh, I'm sorry.

Nicole: You know, I knew it was a shot in the dark. You know, Xander wasn't gonna make it easy for them.

Chloe: Well, do they have any idea where he or the others might be?

Nicole: Roman said there's roadblocks, APBs, but no leads, so they're somewhere in or around Salem.

Chloe: Oh, god help us. Okay, you know what? I have to get going.

Nicole: Okay, good luck.

Chloe: Yeah, living in Deimos' house, seeing victor at breakfast every morning-- I'm gonna need it.

Nicole: [Laughing] Okay.

[Dramatic music]

Dario: You sure you should be out here alone?

Nicole: It's broad daylight. There's cops everywhere. And I have a bodyguard.

Dario: I don't see him.

Nicole: I asked him to be discreet.

Dario: Still, after everything that happened at the wedding, I think--

Nicole: [Stammering] You know, I don't want to talk about it, okay?

Dario: I get that. Nicole, if there's anything-- anything I can do to help...

Justin: Hey, you okay?

Sonny: Uncle Vic drives me nuts.

Justin: [Chuckles] That sets you apart? Look, if you can't do this, I'll arrange to make sure that you're safe.

Sonny: No, I can do it. I think it's the right thing to do. When uncle Vic told me that Clyde had me stabbed, it didn't compute at first. But then with everyone screaming at each other, I remembered waking up in the hospital and seeing will. That man tried to have me killed. His son murdered my husband. I will not hide. I want to find him.

Justin: I know you do.

Sonny: Brady's right, dad. We can't fight each other. We need to fight them.

[Dramatic music]

Andre: Would you excuse me?

Eduardo: Sure.

Kate: [Sighs] I don't understand why you would be sorry for what Clyde Weston did.

Eduardo: Well, I guess I just feel responsible for the people I care about.

Kate: You don't need to worry about me. I thought you were getting back with your ex-wife. What happened?

Eduardo: It got complicated. I had to leave town to deal with a threat against my family, and when I got back, Adriana was gone.

Kate: I'm sorry about that.

Eduardo: Yeah, are ya? Are you really?

[Dramatic music]

Y! You're the-

Kate: I'm a pretty straightforward person. I generally say what I mean.

Eduardo: Actually, I remember now.

Kate: So yes, I'm sorry that your--your wife left you. Does that mean you're leaving town too?

Eduardo: No, no, I... she didn't call to say good-bye. There's a message in that, I think. Besides, three of my kids still live here, and the granddaughter. I missed too much time with them already when they were growing up. Like you, I just feel that family is the most important thing. In fact, at this point, it's pretty much all I got, so... I just thought I'd check in and make sure you were okay.

Kate: I'm fine.

Eduardo: Great. I'll be, uh-- I'll be seeing you-- seeing you around. Listen, before you put your trust in people you shouldn't, 'cause you need something, maybe, you should come to me. That's the truth. And so you know, Kate, it's a standing offer.

[Foreboding music]

Andre: So what was that all about?

Philip: You think sonny's gonna be okay?

Brady: He just found out that Clyde was behind his stabbing.

Philip: Oh, god, how'd he find out?

Brady: His granddaddy. He knew all along. He told sonny because he was trying to convince him to move into the house.

Philip: [Sighs] Brady, do you really think we can do this? All of us living together without going for each other's throats?

Brady: I just think we're going to have to be what we are not.

Philip: Which means father has to stop being father. Do you really think he can control himself with Chloe and Teresa under the same roof?

Brady: No, I have no idea, but I think it would help if you toned it down just a little bit, honestly.

Philip: Not at first. Brady, I'm doing this in the hopes I can get my father back. But it's gonna take time. If I come with my hat in my hand, servile, he won't buy it. Even when we get along, we don't get along.

Deimos: Well, you got what you wanted. Philip's moving in.

Victor: That's not what I wanted. You heard what I said.

Deimos: I saw the performance. But you love your son. Under this roof is exactly where you want him.

Victor: Yeah, well, I certainly didn't want Chloe here.

Deimos: No, I did. I want to keep an eye on her.

Victor: Why? She's got the personality of a head of cabbage, but not as smart.

Deimos: You might want to be careful what you say about her. She could be carrying my child.

Victor: You slept with her?

Deimos: That's usually how it happens, yes.

Victor: Voluntarily? Dear god. Philip, Brady, Daniel-- thank god sonny's gay.

Deimos: Wouldn't you rather the child be mine than Philip's?

Victor: Yes, good luck to you. May the worst man win.

Sonny: I'm sorry.

Brady: Sonny, it's okay.

Justin: Philip, Chloe just arrived.

Victor: Let the games begin.

Philip: Hi.

Chloe: Mm, hi.

Philip: Well, let me get your stuff.

Chloe: Yeah, this is it. I'm hoping we won't have to stay that long.

Philip: Uh, I'm thinking if we're gonna pull this off, we're gonna need to share a bedroom.

Chloe: Right.

Philip: I'll ask for my old bedroom. It has a sofa.

[Suspenseful music]

Why am I so devastatingly handsome, I'm in a fragrance...

Deimos: Ah, look at the two lovebirds. Can't keep their hands off each other. Chloe, welcome.

Chloe: Thank you, Deimos.

Deimos: And where is parker?

Chloe: He's still in new York with his nanny and my parents. But I'm gonna go get him later.

Deimos: I look forward to that.

Philip: Is it all right if we take my old room?

Deimos: Take any room you want. My house is your house.

Philip: Actually, your house is my father's house.

[Dramatic music]

Brady: Chloe, welcome.

Chloe: Hi, Brady. Thank you.

Philip: Father, you remember Chloe, don't you?

Victor: Hard to forget. Chloe, I hope you're very comfortable here.

Chloe: Thank you, victor. You know, I'm kind of tired. Is there any way we can go up to our room?

Philip: Sure.

[Dramatic music]

Kate: Eddie wanted to, uh, make sure I was all right after last night. He seems to think he's responsible somehow.

Andre: Responsible for what Weston did?

Kate: It seems very weird to me too. I think he's hiding something. I'm gonna find out what it is.

Nicole: I just wish everyone would stop worrying about me.

Dario: I get that. I get that you're a strong, capable, independent woman, but there are three killers out there on the loose, and one of them has a score to settle with you, so yeah, I'm gonna worry about you and do whatever I can to help.

Nicole: I know, but I don't-- I don't--

Dario: Listen. We're friends, right?

Nicole: Mm-hmm.

Dario: Friends help each other.

Nicole: Yes, you're right, yes.

Dario: So if you need anything, you call. Promise?

Nicole: Promise.
