Theresa: Hey.

Brady: Sorry.

Theresa: Sorry. Did I fall asleep?

Brady: Yeah. You were exhausted.

Theresa: I just had the best dream.

Brady: Oh, yeah?

Theresa: It was so real.

Brady: Yeah?

Theresa: Yeah.

Brady: You sure it was a dream? That's pretty.

Theresa: Oh, my God. I said yes, right? I didn't just shriek?

Brady: You did shriek, but then you did say yes. And then we got really busy on this couch, and then... well, then you fell asleep in my arms, sweetie. You remember this?

Theresa: Yeah. No wonder I thought it was a dream. I just--I just got everything I ever wanted. Wait, why are you getting up?

Brady: I was just--

Theresa: Did the baby-- did you forget to take your pills?

Brady: No, no, no, no. I'm good. I'm just hungry. I'm just hungry.

Theresa: Oh. Well, I hope you weren't looking for anything here, 'cause we don't have anything in the kitchen, oh, unless you like strained peas.

Brady: I hate strained peas. I'll figure something out.

Theresa: Okay.

Brady: I'm gonna go now.

Theresa: Okay.

Brady: I'm gonna go.

Theresa: Hey, just don't be gone too long, okay?

Brady: Okay. Sleep, sleep. I promise I won't be long, and that is a promise I intend to keep for the rest of my life.

Lani: I was really hoping Eduardo could lead us to John.

Shawn: Yeah, me too. But whoever's got him must have other plans. I'm gonna head out. Have a good night.

Lani: Yeah. Hey, uh, Shawn?

Shawn: Hmm?

Lani: You want to get a drink?

Shawn: Only if I'm buying.

[Piano music]

Claire: Ooh, ooh, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh walked the longest road under moonlit homes missing you tonight stars are dead and gone what I've loved I've lost mm-mm-mm, for sympathy this time this time this time I'll try well, my angels will find that I've been lost too long and in my heart I tried to feel their only love but how I've run through fires of mine

Maggie: I'm sorry, Deimos, but I don't have time for a chat.

Deimos: This is about Victor.

Maggie: Yes, well, he's lying down upstairs right now because he doesn't feel well, not that you care, but I do. And I need to go to him.

Deimos: I came here to tell you that I regret all the things I've done.

Maggie: Really? Well, that's quite a change of heart.

Deimos: And I'm hoping you will help me find a way to tell Victor that I want to end this feud right now, once and for all.

Abigail: [Gasps] Oh, my God, it's beautiful! Aww, it's perfect. What? No, no, you're kidding. Ah!

Chad: I've never been more serious.

Abigail: Aww. It's perfect. I mean, really, I just--I feel like we are a million miles away from Salem.

Chad: That was the idea.

Abigail: Oh, Thomas, your daddy thinks of everything.

Chad: Yeah, I'm gonna keep doing that too. From now on, every minute of your life is gonna be perfect.

Abigail: No, Chad, I don't want perfect. I just want you. I thought that Thomas might fuss being in a hotel crib, but he went right to sleep so fast.

Chad: Yeah. 'Cause our boy's a champ. You know, Abby, I, um--I am gonna take you on a real honeymoon soon, you know, somewhere romantic or exotic. Tonight is just...

Abigail: Tonight is our wedding night.

Chad: Yes, it is.

Abigail: Yeah. Thank you. For being so good to me.

Chad: Of course.

Abigail: Can't believe I did that. I just freaked out and thought I saw Ben. Ruined our wedding.

Chad: No, no. Don't be crazy. You didn't ruin our wedding. Our wedding was amazing. It was--that was my dream wedding.

Abigail: Your dream wedding, really?

Chad: Yes. Because at the end of it, I was married to you. The most beautiful bride I've ever...

Abigail: You make me so happy.

Chad: I bet I can make you happier.

Brady: Hi.

Summer: Hi. What are you doing here?

Brady: Oh, I'm just getting take-out.

Summer: Oh.

Brady: Are we--are we okay?

Summer: Yeah, sure.

Brady: You seem like you're in better shape than you were before.

Summer: Well, that's me, up and down like the weather.

Brady: Yeah. I know this has been hard, this whole thing. And I'm sorry about that, but I still think the best thing to do is to be honest with Maggie. Summer, I don't know what you'd have to lose by telling her the truth. I mean, it's not like you're asking for a hand-out or anything. Did I say something wrong?

Maggie: So you've forgiven Victor, the brother you say ruined your life, just like that.

Deimos: Believe me, I understand your skepticism.

Maggie: After you turned Philip against his own father? I should think so.

Deimos: I wanted to show my brother what loss and betrayal felt like.

Maggie: I think he already knew that.

Deimos: Really? Well, this time it made him dangerous.

Maggie: Victor's children mean everything to him. How did you expect him to react?

Deimos: Hmm, how did I expect him to react? Well...

Maggie: What?

Deimos: Certainly not like this.

Maggie: And you're saying my husband gave you that?

Deimos: Yes, I am.

Claire: Well, my angels will find that I've been lost too long and in my heart I tried to feel their only love but how I run through fires of mine through this life my heart's been breaking but I know I've got an angel

[Clapping]

Belle: Did you write that?

Claire: Yeah. It's a surprise for Ciara's birthday.

Belle: Oh, it's fantastic.

Claire: Thanks. And thanks for letting us use this place for the party.

Belle: Oh, of course, you know I'd do anything for you.

Claire: Except stay with dad.

Belle: I really, uh--I hate this tension between us.

Claire: I just can't believe you and dad can't work things out. The three of us used to be so happy.

Belle: People change, honey.

Claire: That's life, right? When stuff screws up, people get hurt.

Belle: You sound pretty cynical all of a sudden.

Claire: Well, if the secret to life is that it sucks, it's better to know it early, right?

Shawn: There you go. I take it there's no new developments with John and Eduardo while I was gone.

Lani: Nope, sorry.

Shawn: Well, at least Marlena and Arianna are safe. By the way, thank you very much for everything that you did during the rescue.

Lani: I didn't do much.

Shawn: That's not what I heard. Were you scared?

Lani: Terrified. I've never been in the line of fire before. But it was also exciting. Can you believe that a guy like Rafe has a father like that?

Shawn: I know. I guess some guys just like to live on the edge. My dad was one of them.

Lani: But he was a cop.

Shawn: True. But he always liked to put himself into dangerous situations, just like Eduardo does.

Lani: I guess every cop has some of that. The thing is to keep it under control or try to.

Shawn: To keeping it under control in dangerous situations.

Lani: [Chuckles]

Brady: There's nothing to be afraid of. The worst-case scenario is Maggie saying that she didn't want you to contact her. But knowing Maggie, and I do know her, it's not gonna happen.

Summer: She gave me away when I was born. She never tried to find me.

Brady: Summer, don't you think you deserve to know why she did that?

Summer: You know what? You're right. I'll do it.

Brady: Good.

Summer: Can you go with me?

Brady: Sure. Yeah, we'll go first thing in the morning.

Summer: No, if I sleep on it, I'm afraid I'm gonna lose my nerve. Can we maybe go right now?

Maggie: I'm supposed to take your word that Victor gave that to you?

Deimos: Ask him yourself. I think he'll tell you the truth. I spent 30 years of my life behind bars for a murder I did not commit. Victor stabbed me in the heart when he did that to me. This was him merely signing his handiwork. Despite that fact, I'm here tonight because I came to a realization. If I'm gonna have any kind of life, I need to find a way to put this behind me.

Maggie: Kind of late for you to have that kind of insight, isn't it?

Deimos: So how do I prove to you that I sincerely want to make peace with my brother?

It may sound crazy and hard to believe when I stop and see myself and when you look at me you are my mirror you set me free this special person turned out to be you are my mirror you set me free you are my mirror you are my mirror

Maggie: So you show up here, and you rip open your shirt, and you show me your brand, whatever, and you say that Victor gave it to you. And then you say that you're here because you want to make peace?

Deimos: All right, you know what? It's clear to me that I've asked too much of you. I hope in time you'll change your mind.

Maggie: Don't hold your breath.

Deimos: Look, my throat is really dry. Can I at least trouble you for a glass of water?

Maggie: Stay right there.

Deimos: [Sighs]

Maggie: I brought you a bottle of water. Drink it in the car.

Deimos: Thank you. I hope you reconsider helping me.

Abigail: [Gasping]

Chad: Hey, hey. It's all right. It's all right.

Abigail: Oh, my God, I had a nightmare.

Chad: It's okay. It's okay. Was it about Ben?

Abigail: Yes, I--oh, God, I thought he was in bed with me, and it was you, but I thought it was--

Chad: Shh.

Abigail: Thought it was you in bed with me, but it was him, and I--

Chad: You're safe, okay? Everything's fine. It was just a bad dream. It's okay.

Abigail: Thomas is alone. Will you check on Thomas? Will you check on Thomas?

Chad: Yeah, yeah. Okay.

Belle: Honey. Honey, I do care about your feelings. That's why I'm working so hard to get along with your dad.

Claire: Yeah, I know.

Belle: Okay, well, listen. The fact of the matter is, Philip is back in my life.

Claire: Yeah, I know that. I walked in here earlier today and caught you two kissing.

Belle: Why didn't you say something?

Claire: I don't know. I just came to look around. You know, I started thinking maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to perform here. I actually started to get kind of excited about the whole idea. Then I saw you and Philip together. It looked like you two were really serious about each other. All I wanted to do was disappear.

Belle: Honey, listen, I know how much you love your dad, and that will never change. I would never want that to change. But, I mean, Philip makes me happy. Would it be the worst thing in the world if we could get back together?

Budget and I are good.

Lani: Um... you want another round? On me.

Shawn: Well, if I remember correctly, I think that we do have a dinner date that hasn't happened yet.

Lani: That's true.

Shawn: What do you say we go to my Grandma's pub? It's a block away. She makes the best clam chowder in the world, and that is coming from a guy who used to live in Maine.

Shawn: Grandma's chowder sounds great. [Chuckles]

Claire: Okay. I am about to do something major.

Belle: You are?

Claire: Yeah, I'm about to get over myself and stop acting like such a brat.

Belle: Honey, I never thought you were acting like a brat. Every kid wants their folks to stay together.

Claire: Yeah, but I'm not a kid anymore. You know, so I have to stop making it about me. See, the important thing is for you to be happy. That's what I should want. And I do.

Belle: Oh, honey.

Claire: I mean, if it can't be with dad, that's really sad, but I have to learn to accept it.

Belle: Listen, I know that I'm mostly to blame for things not working out between your dad and me. But I am gonna move on. And I hope your father does too. I hope he finds happiness with someone else.

Claire: Is that what Philip does for you? Does he make you happy?

Belle: Yeah. He does.

Brady: Maggie?

Maggie: [Gasps] Hi. I didn't even know the two of you were here.

Brady: Is this a bad time?

Maggie: Uh, no. I was just on my way up to see how your grandfather was feeling. He's been a little under the weather, but I'm sure he's probably already asleep.

Brady: Summer has something she would like to tell you.

Maggie: Finally, I mean, I knew there was something the two of you weren't saying.

Chad: Thomas is fine.

Abigail: He is?

Chad: Yeah. He slept right through it.

Abigail: I didn't wake him up.

Chad: No.

Abigail: Okay. Chad, I don't want to be that kind of mom. I don't want to be that kind of mom that's always freaked out, and I'm scaring my kid all the time.

Chad: Stop. You're not. You're not.

Abigail: [Sighs] I just feel like I am so on edge, you know?

Chad: Talk to me.

Abigail: [Sighs] I'm scared that my mom is still on pain meds. And Ben is out there somewhere.

Chad: He's not gonna get to you.

Abigail: He is getting to me. No, he is. Chad, he is in my head, and, I mean-- it's my wedding night. I married the love of my life, and I'm having a nightmare.

Chad: Yeah, I don't-- you're scared. You're scared. Who wouldn't be? Okay? I will bet you that Ben is-- Ben is in some other country right now, okay? He's probably left already. And even if he hasn't, I swear to you, I will never let anything happen to you or Thomas. Promise.

Abigail: Mm-hmm.

Chad: Okay. It's okay. Look, I am going to shower.

Abigail: Okay.

Chad: And by the time I'm done, Thomas will be up. You can get him all wrapped up, and we can go and have ourselves a nice day.

Abigail: Sounds perfect. Thank you. [Chuckles] [Sighs]

[Phone ringing]

Abigail: Hello? Who is this? Ben, is that you? For the past three months,

Chad: You look like you're feeling better.

Abigail: Yeah, I am. Thomas.

[Laughter]

Chad: Why don't, um-- why don't I take Thomas for a bit, and you can go and jump in the shower, okay?

Abigail: Oh, is that okay? Yeah, you're gonna go with daddy.

Chad: He's okay.

Abigail: Aww. Got him?

Chad: Yep.

Abigail: Thomas, you have to let go of mommy's hair.

Chad: Get her. I do the same thing.

Abigail: Okay. Oh, how dressed up should I get?

Chad: Casual. Concierge said that there was a kid-friendly restaurant in walking distance.

Abigail: Good, that sounds perfect.

Chad: You're perfect.

Abigail: Thomas is perfect.

Chad: Where's mine? Hi. Hi. I got a--I got a new story for you. Mm-hmm. This one is about a witch. It's not a scary witch. Actually, this witch is best known in her village for her bagels, especially her pumpernickel bagels. Oh, come on, that's funny. That's funny. Okay. Well, I'll continue to get better at those stories, okay? But they're all gonna end the exact same, with everyone living happily ever after, just like you, me, and your beautiful mother. Come here. I love you, Thomas Deveraux.

Brady: Go ahead.

Summer: The whole reason I am here is to tell you the truth about everything. I asked Brady to be here while I do that.

Maggie: And what is everything?

Summer: I met your son, Daniel, when he was living in la. We got to be pretty good friends. He took care of me. And he stayed in touch with me after he moved here. I ended up telling him the story of my life, how I was adopted, and how it happened, and what I knew about the girl who gave birth to me. Daniel started thinking that maybe he knew who that girl was. So a few months ago, he asked me to do this swab test thing and send it back to him. It took me a while to get it together and do it and send it to him. Anyway, I never heard back from him. I thought maybe he forgot about it. I didn't know what happened until I met Brady, and he told me about the accident. I told Brady about the swab, and he tracked it down. And he found out that Daniel had done the test. And it turns out he was right.

Maggie: What made Daniel think that he knew who your birth mother was?

Summer: Because of what I told him about her, that she was 17 when she had me, that she lived in a farm around here, and that she had a problem with her legs, and she had to use crutches.

Maggie: What are you saying?

Summer: That I'm your daughter.

Both: Oh!

Belle: Sorry.

Philip: I just left you a message.

Belle: I saw it. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet.

Philip: I was asking if you wanted to get together.

Belle: And here we are.

Philip: Together.

Claire: Ooh, ooh, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh but this time this time this time I'll try well, my angels will find that I've been lost too long and in my heart I tried to feel their only love but how I run through fires of mine through this life my heart's been breaking but I know I've got an angel

[Clapping]

Shawn: So good.

Belle: You are a star.

Lani: This chowder was as good as you said it would be.

Shawn: If my Grandma saw me do this, she'd kill me. Mmm.

Lani: I think I know you well enough to tell you that you have a chowder mustache.

Shawn: Oh, gosh. I'm officially humiliated now.

Lani: No. Actually, I think it's kind of cute.

Maggie: I think I need a moment.

Brady: Maggie?

Maggie: This--I can't believe it. I mean, how can this be?

Brady: I have--I have the papers. Maggie, Daniel wanted you to know. He ran the tests. He sent her to me.

Maggie: It has to be a mistake.

Brady: It's not. It's not a mistake.

Summer: Look, I just thought you had the right to know. I won't bother you.

Maggie: I can't do it. I can't do it. I can't--

Summer: [Sobbing]

Brady: She's--she's-- she's in shock. You just--give her time.

Summer: Time isn't gonna change a damn thing.

Theresa: Hey.

Brady: Hi.

Theresa: So how'd it go?

Brady: Uh, not great. Not great at all. Maggie was in total shock. She left the room.

Theresa: Are you sure you did the right thing?

Brady: No. I'm sure I didn't handle it well at all, but I know it's what Daniel wanted me to do. I didn't have a choice.

Maggie: [Sobbing]

Summer: She doesn't give a damn about you. It was so stupid to come here.

Philip: Seems like we should go someplace else.

Belle: Yep, sounds like a plan.

Lani: Uh, I came on too fast.

Shawn: No, actually, you just made my day.

Philip: You okay?

Belle: Yeah, yeah. I told Claire earlier today that I wanted Shawn to move on, and, well, he obviously has. Yeah. I'm more than okay.

Chad: Our son is down for the count.

Abigail: You are a genius.

Chad: My bedtime stories, they put everyone to sleep.

Abigail: Yeah, well, they worked for me on one of the worst nights of my life. I don't know what I would do without you, Chad.

Chad: Lucky for you, you never have to be without me.

Abigail: You know, I always thought of myself as such a strong person. Got through English boarding school and losing my-- losing my father and all those horrifyingly bad choices I made in my love life, and getting the worst of Sami Brady, and my stuff with my family, and, I mean, almost losing Thomas, losing myself and everything that happened. I survived that because of you. And here I am now, falling to pieces over something that hasn't and isn't going to happen. Thank you. Chad, thank God for you.

Chad: Why don't you go get ready for bed? After today, you must be exhausted.

Abigail: Well, I'm not that exhausted.

Chad: No?

Abigail: No, because you still haven't seen the nightgown I got for us.

Chad: Okay.

Abigail: What's-- no.

Chad: It's okay.

Abigail: No, it's--

Chad: It's okay. It's okay. It's okay.
