Eve: What are you doing back in town?

Jill: You have to help me. Otherwise the whole scam is gonna be exposed.

Kate: So what exactly is it that you set straight?

Clyde: Well, you know the reason I'm even here is to mend things with my son, Ben.

Kate: Right.

Clyde: I think I finally convinced his sister that I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Ben: Hey, sorry that took so long.

Ben: But I'm officially off work now.

Ben: So why did you, uh, think that Jordan and I got in a fight?

Abigail: Well, because I-I had a feeling you wouldn't be too happy about her going out with Chad.

Will: Hey, Chad's on his way over to view the Sonix profile, but I have to go help mom with something. Can you give this to him when he gets here and tell him to call me?

Nicole: Actually, he was kind of into us fighting.

Sami: That's true. EJ loves a good cat-- he loved... he loved a good catfight.

Nicole: Still... Sami, still. And wherever he is right now, he is laughing his head off.

[Both laugh]

Sami: You want a drink?

Nicole: Do you have to ask?

Sami: Good point. I have some red open.

Nicole: You know, I'm--I'm not sure if I'm comfortable having you serve me.

Sami: Well, I know you know your way around a bar, so you can help yourself. Yeah.

Nicole: That is so genius. I don't even have words. It's like vanity fair.

Sami: Well, the publicity department--they, you know, insisted.

Nicole: Pfft. Like hell. You did that, didn't you? [Laughs] Girl, respect. 'Cause when I lived here, I wouldn't even touch a vase. You women put that old goat out on his tail.

Sami: Right? To bizarro world.

Nicole: To bizarro world. I really hope it's okay that I came over. You know, Rafe suggested I should, and I wasn't sure--

Sami: I'm glad you did. I really am. I was gonna call you actually. My family's been here, and they've been great, and they've really helped me and the kids. But, um, I just don't know anyone else who really understands what I'm going through, who really understands what I've lost.

Nicole: To EJ.

Sami: To EJ.

[Both chuckle]

Will: Lately, it doesn't feel like you respect me anymore. It doesn't feel like you support me.

Sonny: What? That's not true.

Will: Yeah, okay, later.

Sonny: I'm sorry! I'm sorry. Back up. Why do you--why do you think that?

Will: Because of how you reacted to the Chad story.

Sonny: I misunderstood.

Will: And you think that I will do anything to get a big story. You think that I'm too ambitious.

Sonny: I never said that.

Will: But you could. It's true. I am. I look at my life. I'm married. I have a kid. I am too young for this. I don't wanna end up with a boring life.

Rory: Well, I kept up with her as far as the pub, but then she found this other gear and just, you know, like, sprinted.

Paige: So you lost her?

JJ: Are you sure it was her? She was supposedly from out of town.

Will: Well, maybe she's visiting her sister again.

Paige: Well, we have to find her.

JJ: She could be anywhere, even if it's her. And we're in the middle of something.

Paige: She could clear your name with my mom once and for all.

JJ: All right, you're right. Can you take us to where you lost her?

Rory: For sure. Let's ride.

Paige: Okay.

[Both chuckle]

Sami: I just, um--

Nicole: Look, what I said to you the last time I saw you about will's article, that was a low blow, and I wish I could take it back.

Sami: You mean you don't think that I'm narcissistic and selfish and--what was the other thing you said?

Nicole: Petty? No, I totally do. But the truth is no matter what I said, I completely understand why you had to get revenge on EJ. Just like I also understand why you had to take him back. The man had a way.

Sami: [Chuckles] Yeah. Yeah, he did. Of course, he also had a way of making me angrier at him than any other person on the planet, so...

Nicole: But when he was with you and in love with you, it felt like nobody else in the world mattered. That's what it seemed like.

Sami: He did love you, Nicole.

Nicole: No, no, not as-- not as much as he loved you.

Sami: The second time you two were married, he really wanted that to work, and I am so sorry about what happened.

Nicole: It's okay. Look, you always came first. But I fought it. Maybe I would have saved us all a lot of heartache if I just realized that sooner.

Sami: I think we're too sober...

Nicole: I think you're right.

Sami: For this conversation. Right?

Nicole: Yeah. Did--did EJ tell you I saw him before...

Sami: No. Um, no, he didn't.

Nicole: Well, you know, of course it started out the same. You know, I picked a fight with him because, well, I'm--

Nicole: Yes.

Sami: So there's that.

Nicole: I'm mean, yeah. But, you know what? He, uh--he didn't roll over. He didn't even take the bait. He told me you two were back together and stronger than ever. And I'll tell you something, I could see it. Nothing could get to him.

Sami: I'm so glad-- I'm so glad that we had reunited. I mean, if we were apart when this had happened, I--

Nicole: Yeah. He wished me well. I'm glad that was my last memory of him.

Sami: Yeah. I am too. I just, uh--God, I don't even remember the last thing he and I talked about before I--I found him.

Nicole: Listen, it doesn't matter. You loved him, and he knew it.

Sami: I told him that, and I think he heard me.

Nicole: He knew it, Sami. I am telling you, EJ was completely happy because of you and the kids.

Kate: I don't think Jordan should be trying to come between you and your son.

Clyde: Well, she's got her own reasons. I mean, I wasn't such a great daddy right after her momma died.

Rory: Well, we might actually be able to get somebody's attention if we had a photo of this chick. What about the ones that she sent you?

JJ: I got rid of them.

Paige: I deleted mine too. But they'd be on the auto-backup on my computer. I bet you I can still retrieve them. I'll go home now and try, okay?

JJ: All right, and we'll keep looking.

Paige: Yeah, I'll text you guys and catch up with you later. We're gonna find that little witch.

Chad: Look, we don't have to talk. We can just sit here. [Groans] Yep. You know, I have a bad recurrence of sofa football knee.

Jordan: What?

Chad: Yeah, yeah. Trouble with the back of the tendons in the knees from when I watch football for too long.

Jordan: Sofa football knee, I'll have to look that one up.

Chad: [Chuckles] Yeah. I thought it'd be more fun than talking about whatever was bothering you. Did it work?

Jordan: For a few seconds.

Jordan: I would really like to believe that.

Sonny: So you think I'm boring?

Will: No. That came out wrong.

Sonny: So you think our life is boring? The life that I'm happy with?

Will: What happened to your dreams, sonny?

Sonny: My dreams became reality. I married the man that I love. I have a family, and my club is up and running.

Will: Those weren't your dreams.

Will: Well, I haven't. I didn't get a chance to pursue any of that before--

Sonny: Before Ari came along? Before you got married? So you have different ambitions than me right now. I can still support them.

Will: Right, because I'm normally such a screw-up.

Nicole: You know, it's funny. I mean, who'd have thought that we'd be sitting here drinking together, not throwing it on each other?

Nicole: [Chuckles]

Sami: But we've gotten along before.

Nicole: Briefly.

Sami: Right, well, before you completely messed it up.

Nicole: [Gasps]

Nicole: You don't want her because she's your daughter, only because she's your property.

Sami: Oh, God, Nicole, I am gonna kill you.

Nicole: Did it ever occur to you that Rafe will get tired of cleaning up your messes? Maybe he'll finally figure out who you really are and decide, you know, just you're not worth it.

Sami: You know what, I'm not gonna stand here and take moral advice from a former porn star turned baby-snatcher.

Nicole: I'm not the one who shot my kids' father in the head while he was unconscious. What do you think Johnny and Sydney are gonna think of you when they find out, huh? Ow.

Sami: I'll have you know, that sewer, it cancels out any and all blackmail. I mean, debts are settled.

Sami: Greenblatt would love that story.

Nicole: Who?

Sami: Oh, my God, Nicole, people from Hollywood came here.

Nicole: Hollywood people came to this house?

Sami: Yeah.

Nicole: Why?

Sami: I don't--I mean, it's been bizarro world all day here. So they said they had read the article in TruVista that will wrote. And then they said they did research online, which is really frightening. And they said they wanna be in the Sami brady-dimera business.

Nicole: Well, wow. Cheers.

JJ: How'd it go at the bus station?

Rory: No sign of her. Dude, I can't believe you didn't save those photos.

JJ: Seriously?

Rory: I mean, she was hot. For archival purposes only. Or for a search just like this.

JJ: Well, I didn't think we'd see her again. But you know what, dude? This is a waste of time, because I really do need to talk to Paige about something, so...

Rory: So you just wanna give up?

JJ: Well, I just don't see the point without more to go on.

Eve: God, why didn't you just get out of town immediately? What are you doing back here?

Jill: I was leaving. I had my bus ticket, and then that loser Rory kid started following me.

Eve: Okay, this is such a nightmare. This is such a nightmare! What if my daughter finds out that I've hired you to set up her boyfriend?

[Keys jingling]

Eve: God, get out of here. Go, get in the room. Honey! What--I thought you had a study date.

Paige: Mom, you will not believe what just happened. Rory saw the girl who set up JJ. Yeah.

Eve: Wait, you were studying with Rory?

Paige: No, I went to see JJ, and Rory showed up. He, uh--he spotted the girl.

[Hip-hop ringtone plays]

Paige: Whose phone is that? Is someone else here?

Eve: Yeah. That was my phone. Can you believe it? I'm trying out some new ringtones.

Paige: Think you're a little old for that one.

Eve: Yeah, you think? Honey, what--what are you doing?

Paige: Retrieving the pictures from that night.

Eve: So you still have those awful things?

Paige: Yeah, on my hard drive backup, thank God. Now we'll have a picture, you know, show around. Once we find her, I will personally lean on her until she spills the whole dirty story.

Eve: Honey... [Chuckles] How do you know even where to look for her?

Paige: Um, well, we'll start at the Brady pub and then the town square. That's where Rory saw her. She could be anywhere though. I wish we could get the police to help.

Eve: Well, you know, you can't.

Paige: I know, but once this girl confesses-- hey, mom, I swear, JJ did not take that drug on purpose. He wasn't cheating on me. We will get the proof.

Eve: Okay, well, if that girl confirms what you're saying, then I guess I'm just gonna have to rethink JJ, right?

Paige: Yes, you will. Now wish me luck.

Eve: [Groans]

[Phone rings]

Kate: Sorry. Oh. Victor, tell me... oh, that's great. That's great. Thank God. Yes, that's the same as thanking you. I'll tell her.

Clyde: Good news?

Kate: It's great news, and I have to share it. Do you mind, can I get a rain check?

Clyde: Only if I can trade it for dinner.

Kate: I think that can be arranged.

Clyde: Good.

Kate: I'll talk to you later.

Will: Luckily I married a guy who knows how to keep me in line.

Sonny: Man, are you good at twisting things around?

Will: No, but I am good with words. At least some people think so.

Sonny: I always said you were a good writer.

Will: Oh, like you wanted to hang my work on the fridge with a magnet.

Sonny: That's really not fair and not true.

Will: You have no idea how much this means to me. I love what I do, and I am willing to push the boundaries to make my dreams happen.

Sonny: Okay. But--

Will: I should go. Let me know if I used good judgment.

Sonny: When are you gonna be back?

Will: If my mom needs me to stay the night, I will. I'll text you. I'm sure Ari will sleep through the whole night.

Sonny: Will! Will, don't leave like this.

Nicole: This is surreal.

Sami: [Chuckles] Right?

Nicole: I mean, what a great opportunity.

Sami: Yeah! Until it's awful. And then I've totally humiliated myself on, like, a national level.

Nicole: No, no, no, come on, your son's already taken care of that for you when he wrote that article. I'm just kidding, no. Come on. It would be fun, right?

Sami: Yeah, except they want me to move to California. I'll be taking the kids and Sydney and moving to California.

[Both sigh]

Nicole: Still, Sami, look, I think you should do it. I mean, this house, kudos to you for redoing it and all, but this house, it's still this house.

Sami: Yeah, I know. I mean, it's--you know, drenched in memories for me. It also stinks of Stefano. And if he ever found a way to come back here, I mean, he would come after the kids.

Nicole: And you have to get your kids as far away from Stefano as you can.

Sami: Yes, I do. I mean, Nicole, Johnny was already dealing with kids being mean to him at summer camp because he's a DiMera.

Nicole: He didn't beat anyone up, did he? I mean, it's in the gene pool, both sides of the family.

Sami: [Chuckles] I know. I know what you mean, and that's what I'm saying. No, he's so young, and he's innocent, and he was just hurt and annoyed by these stupid kids. And I just don't want him to grow up, you know, and have it happen again and have him feel like he has to hit back. I mean, he might someday hit back.

Nicole: Might? Again, gene pool.

Sami: Right. Exactly. Oh, God, Nicole, I just don't want them to do that. I want them to be able to grow up as themselves, you know? And not have to feel like they have to punch back, you know, because of some stupid shadow hanging over them. EJ wanted that too. EJ and I talked about it all the time.

Sami: Well, there's things. I mean, timing for one thing, and then there's this business, you know, that I have to be here for.

Nicole: Hello, computers, smartphones.

Sami: No, by "here," I mean, like, "in the jurisdiction." I didn't do it! I mean, I might have. But--but just, like, it was an accident, and it was a small thing, and it's gonna get worked out, and--

[Phone rings]

Sami: Oh, my God, this might be about that. It might be Kate. Oh, it is. Hey, hey, Kate, what's the word?

Kate: Victor worked his magic. You are in the clear with the S.E.C.

Kate: Sami, have you been drinking?

Nicole: What? So they're serious?

Sami: Yeah, right?

Will: I had so many questions before I walked in, and now I don't even know where to start.

Sydney: Mama Nicole?

Abigail: You know, you really need to get that ego in check, Chad. In case you didn't hear me the first time, I really don't give a damn about you or about your love life. I don't. If you wanna be with Jordan, then fine. Go for it if she'll have you. But don't hurt her.

Chad: I won't.

Abigail: You're a DiMera, Chad. Hurting people comes naturally to you.

Chad: You're right. I am a DiMera. And you should know better than anybody that we always get what we want.

Ben: After everything you've done for me, Jordan, why wouldn't I protect you? What did Chad do to you?

Ben: When Abigail and I got here, you were really upset.

Jordan: That was Clyde--ugh.

JJ: Hey, eve, is Paige here?

Eve: JJ. What are you-- [Groans]

JJ: Eve, are--are you okay?

[Eve groans]

Nicole: I'm so sorry, honey. Did I wake you? No? Why weren't you asleep?

Sydney: I miss daddy.

Nicole: I know you loved your daddy, and he loved you very much, from the moment he saw you. And I am sure he is still looking out for you. And you know what? Your mommy and Johnny and Allie, they're gonna take very good care of you. Because they love you very much.
