Episode #12409 ~ Aiden & Hope butt heads while denying their feelings; Theresa finds JJ & Paige in a compromising position; Clyde & Kate flirt.
Provided By Suzanne
JJ: Hey, thanks for making the time to see me.
Hope: Oh, honey, are you kidding? I'm always so happy to see you. What's going on? Is it Abigail?
JJ: Oh, no, no. But she is doing better. It's actually about me, and it's nothing bad. I got a letter that my juvenile record was expunged.
Hope: Oh, my God, not bad? Are you kidding me? That's fantastic.
JJ: I know. I totally wasn't expecting it. Aiden had to pull a lot of strings to make it happen.
Hope: And you're here because...
JJ: Well, I wanted to get him something to thank him. And I don't have a lot of cash, and I was hoping that you could tell me what he's into.
Hope: I'm afraid you're going to have to ask someone else.
JJ: Whoa, just the look on your face. Do you, like, hate the guy?
Aiden: [Sighs]
[Romantic orchestral music]
Hey. Here you go.
Put that away. It's on me.
Aiden: That's not necessary.
I'll throw that in too.
Aiden: Is this your phone number?
I just can't picture Abigail Deveraux and EJ DiMera. She always seemed so...
Theresa: Sweet and innocent? Listen, if she could screw over my evil cousin Sami, she's even more manipulative...
Jennifer: Than you? Not possible.
Theresa: Oh, Jen, Jen, I was just looking for you.
Jennifer: Oh, I can't wait to hear why.
Theresa: Well, Anne's out of the office today, and I'm in charge of finding your replacement temp.
Jennifer: I need to get to my office.
Theresa: Hey, wait, before you go, I just want to make sure that we're, you know, clear on your criteria. You need somebody who's reliable, of good moral character, and... [Clicks tongue] Oh, yeah, somebody who won't be forced to resign in disgrace. Gosh, your daughter really shocked all of us, didn't she?
Eve: Did you see this?
Paige: Poor Abigail.
Eve: Poor Abigail? I mean, I know Sami Brady's no saint, but I think she's kind of the victim here, don't you?
Paige: Did you read the whole article? You're just saying that because you're mad at Jennifer.
Eve: [Scoffs] Sweetie, you're completely missing the point here. This is so not about me. You know, it is a perfect example, though.
Paige: Of what?
Eve: Well, of how screwed up the whole horton-deveraux clan is.
Paige: Mom...
Eve: They're trouble, sweetheart, trouble that you don't need.
Abigail: Hey. Hi, didn't you close last night? I didn't expect I would see you here today.
Ben: Yeah, I'm picking up some keys for the storage room so we can move some stuff, if I can find them. Be back in a second, though, okay?
Abigail: Okay.
Jordan: Abigail, hey. You had an interview today, right? How'd it go?
Abigail: Actually, it didn't. I'm pretty sure someone in hr got ahold of will's article and decided that I wasn't right for the company.
Jordan: I'm sorry.
Abigail: It's okay. I'm actually really excited about this new marketing position that just opened up at the sports complex in west Salem.
Jordan: Oh, I love that place. Rafe actually has a friend that works there. Maybe--
Kate: Rafe, hey.
Rafe: Hey.
Kate: Hey, will told me that you were visiting Gabi in prison yesterday. How's she doing?
Rafe: Yeah, she's hanging in.
Kate: I'm glad to hear that. So how are you doing?
Clyde: Hey, good morning, detective. Ms. Roberts.
Kate: You two know each other?
Paige: Oh, come on, mom. JJ and Abigail's family is no more messed up than ours is.
Eve: Hey.
Paige: Or anyone else's. I know you're upset that I deferred Stanford, but...
Eve: No, no, this isn't about Stanford. Do I wish that you had gone? Yes. There's nothing that I can do about it now. I just--I just don't want you to look back and discover that you've just made the wrong choice.
Paige: Meaning staying here--
Eve: And getting hurt by JJ Deveraux is exactly what I mean. I mean, if his sister, the "golden child," can behave like that, imagine what you're gonna expect from a little ex-con.
Paige: Don't call him that!
Eve: Oh, sweetheart, I just want you to be careful.
Paige: [Scoffs] How many times do I have to say it? JJ really is a good person. He's kind and thoughtful, and he's totally turned his life around. I don't need to be careful around him.
Eve: How deep are your feelings for this boy, huh? Are you in love with him?
Hope: [Sighs] Of course I don't hate Aiden. I mean, why would I? In fact, you know what? I like him. I do. He's a--he's a great guy. I just don't know him well enough to know exactly what he's into, I mean, to help you pick out a gift for him.
JJ: Oh, how is that possible?
I know it's a little forward, but you come in here every morning. We joke. You're the highlight of my work day, and I don't even know your name.
Aiden: It's Aiden.
Aiden.
Aiden: Yeah.
I couldn't help noticing you're not wearing your ring.
Aiden: No, um... no, I'm not. And this is very flattering, but I don't date.
Never?
Aiden: Never. Thanks for the coffee. [Sighs]
Theresa: You know, I didn't think that Abigail had it in her, but you know what they say about still waters.
Jennifer: What do they say about still waters, Theresa?
Theresa: Well, it's just that she always seems so demure, practically virginal, but to snag a man like EJ, well, she just must be some kind of hellcat in bed. Hey, does she get that from you? Is that what doctor Dan saw in you? Because I can't imagine what else it could be.
Jennifer: And I can't imagine how you sleep at night knowing that all you do every day, all day, is cast a pall on the lives of other people who are unlucky enough to cross your path. I mean, truly, what a sad commentary on the state of your life that you find satisfaction in gloating over other people's problems, spreading bitterness and gloom. It is tragic, actually, with all the gifts that you have been given--beauty, brains, opportunities, people who care about you--that you have trashed your life.
Clyde: Uh, no, I don't know ms. Roberts, but I have seen her picture in the business section of the spectator. I mean, who could forget a face like that, right? Though, I must say, ms. Roberts, that picture hardly does you justice.
Rafe: [Chuckles]
Kate: It's so nice to meet you, Mr.--
Clyde: Clyde Weston. You might know my stepdaughter, Jordan Ridgeway, or my son, Ben Rodgers.
Kate: Oh, of course. Lovely, lovely children.
Clyde: Thank you. I hope I'm not interrupting anything.
Rafe: What? No, not at all.
Clyde: I just wanted to tell you, Rafe, how sorry I was to hear about you and Jordan. She's pretty shook up about it.
Rafe: Yeah, yeah. That makes two of us.
Clyde: Oh. Really? If the two of you are so sad about it, you mind my asking what happened to split you up?
Abigail: So I'm guessing you didn't take my advice and talk to Rafe, did you?
Jordan: [Sighs] No.
Abigail: But, Jordan, you have to know that Kate didn't mean anything to him.
Jordan: There's part of me that believes that you're right, but not that it matters. He made a choice that night, and now we both have to live with it.
Eve: You know, sweetheart, I thought I was in love when I was your age too.
Paige: With Frankie, and you wound up marrying him.
Both: Mm-hmm.
Eve: And we both know how that turned out, right?
Paige: I'm not you, mom.
Eve: I know you're not. My gosh, you have so much more promise than I ever did. That's why I can't just sit back and watch you throw away your plans, all your dreams, your life--
Paige: I'm not doing that, and I really can't have this conversation with you again. Gonna go down to the moving van and finish getting all of our stuff.
Eve: You know, it's crazy timing, huh? I mean, very interesting that cousin john got that job offer in Chicago and allowed us to stay in this old dump.
Paige: It's not a dump, mom.
Eve: Well, it's not the Taj Mahal either, but it's temporary. We'll start looking for a nicer place soon.
Paige: I'll go get some boxes.
Eve: Sweetheart, you don't have to do that, you know, alone. We can hire someone.
Paige: I'm fine.
Eve: Really? Your book box from your old bedroom weighs at least 80 pounds. Oh, you--you asked JJ to help you, didn't you?
Paige: Yes, mom, I did.
Eve: Oh, man. Damn that boy.
JJ: You and Aiden were working together forever on that auction for St. Luke's. How can you not know anything about the guy?
Hope: All business.
Aiden: JJ. Do I want to know what you're doing in a police station?
JJ: Well, actually, I was talking to my cousin hope about how grateful I am to you for getting my juvie record expunged.
Aiden: Oh, yeah, well, you know, just doing my job.
JJ: Well, you know, it meant a lot to me, so... you know what? I'm glad I got to thank you in person, but... I'll see you later.
Aiden: Okay, all righty. Take care.
JJ: All right, you too. Bye.
Hope: Bye, JJ.
Aiden: So I'm here to depose officer post about an arrest made in the Richards case.
Hope: Sorry, she's unavailable.
Aiden: In other words, I have to reschedule.
Hope: Yeah, I'm afraid so.
Aiden: Great. Who do I have to talk to about that?
Hope: That would be me.
Theresa: Do you really expect people to stop talking about what your daughter did anytime soon?
Jennifer: I don't know, anybody gonna stop talking about you and Brady anytime soon?
Theresa: What about us?
Jennifer: How you used his addiction and got him to go to Las Vegas and then you got him drunk and coerced him into marrying you?
Theresa: That's not...
Jennifer: Not what happened? That is what happened. Everybody knows. You used his illness to get what you wanted, and if you hadn't gotten him so drunk and so high out of his mind, he never would've fought with his father.
Theresa: You weren't there.
Jennifer: I didn't need to be there. As far as I'm concerned, what happened to john is not Brady's fault. It's yours. (Vo) if you have type 2 diabetes,
Theresa: [Sighs] It's my fault your daughter's name is being dragged through the mud. It's my fault that you and Daniel broke up. It's my fault john black's in a coma. Huh, what isn't my fault?
Jennifer: You know, what happened to john is a tragedy to everyone involved, and just because you aren't the one who hit him over the head with that poker, we both know that you bear plenty of responsibility for what happened. So you need to worry about yourself, Theresa, because Abigail is gonna be fine. But you? Let's just say I have my doubts, and it looks to me like you have the same doubts.
Eve: Hey. Is everything okay?
Theresa: [Sighs]
Eve: Theresa, what did she just say to you?
Rafe: So Jordan didn't tell you why we broke up?
Clyde: No. She's a pretty private person, as I'm sure you know.
Rafe: Yeah, yeah.
Clyde: All I know is, she's not the same happy girl she was a couple of weeks ago. What it's worth, I hope the two of you find a way to work things out.
Rafe: Well, you and me both. Yeah.
Clyde: Well... oh. Now that I've had the pleasure, I hope I get the opportunity to talk to you about acclimating in Salem, given your ties to the business community.
Rafe: Well, why don't you two talk now? 'Cause I need to get going, okay? So I'll catch up with you later. Clyde, pleasure to see you again.
Clyde: Yeah, listen. That Jordan--she's a stubborn one, son. Don't give up on her, okay?
Rafe: Okay, yeah. Well, I have no intention of giving up.
Clyde: Good.
Rafe: All right.
Kate: Do you mind telling me what the hell that was all about?
Abigail: I really hope that you and Rafe can work things out.
Jordan: I'm just so unsettled about everything right now.
Abigail: You mean because of your stepfather showing up in town?
Jordan: Yeah, well, that definitely doesn't help. You know, I never even got a chance to talk to Rafe about Clyde, not that it matters now.
Abigail: Well, if you ever need anything, I'm here for you.
Jordan: You just keep making my little brother smile.
Abigail: God, Ben has been so great about everything--EJ, my job--and he's got so much of his own stuff going on right now.
Jordan: Which is why I'm glad he has you. You're good for him.
Abigail: Well, he's good for me.
[Both laugh]
Ben: Jordan, hey.
Jordan: Hey.
Abigail: Hey, did you find your key?
Ben: Ah. Off to the storage room. If I don't reappear before dawn, send reinforcements.
Abigail: Hey, you know, I know someone who might be available to go with you right now.
Ben: Who'd ever want that job?
Abigail: Oh, I don't know. Me maybe?
Both: Okay.
Ben: Fair enough.
Abigail: Bye, Jordan.
Jordan: Bye, guys.
Paige: Thanks for helping.
JJ: Yeah.
Paige: Sorry it's so hot.
JJ: Oh, because you control the weather, right? Well, it beats picking up trash in the town square, and even that wasn't so bad once I got to do it with you.
Paige: Mm, how romantic.
JJ: Yeah. Come here. Actually, I think this one is yours, yeah?
[Clattering]
Paige: Oh!
JJ: Um... wow, I'm--I'm sorry.
Paige: I'm a terrible packer. [Laughs] Yes, I was going to take lamby to college. Go ahead, laugh.
JJ: Oh, I-I wouldn't dare.
Paige: Someone pretty special gave her to me, won her for me, actually, at a carnival.
JJ: Oh. Well, I didn't realize.
Paige: But there was someone else. [Sighs] The--the guy who won it for me wasn't a boyfriend, JJ. He was so much more than that, and then, well, he wasn't.
Theresa: It's nothing. Oh, God.
Eve: Theresa. Nothing?
Theresa: It's just, you know, same old jenny wound up like a cheap clock. You know, if you're here to demand another pint of blood from me, I can't donate again for months.
Eve: I am not here to see you, actually.
Theresa: Oh, well, I should've known.
Eve: I have some business with the cheap clock. Apparently my first settlement check from the rights from jack's book was sent to her by mistake.
Theresa: Doesn't jenny have all the luck?
Eve: Actually, no, she doesn't, and if she was just giving my favorite sister a hard time, she's gonna hear about it from me.
Theresa: Wow. Thanks for the concern.
Eve: Mm-hmm.
Theresa: Don't--don't hurt your vocal cords, though, okay?
Eve: Don't worry. I won't be the one hurting when I'm finished. So what did Jennifer say to you, anyway, exactly?
Theresa: Just basically that it's my fault that john's a vegetable. I mean, can you imagine?
Eve: Theresa, if I were you, I wouldn't talk about that with anyone--anyone--except me, of course.
Theresa: Okay.
Eve: So what is the prognosis for john?
Theresa: Well, they think that he's never going to recover, so they're gonna ship him off to a long-term care facility. You know what? The sooner, the better.
Eve: Why?
Theresa: Well, it's just that every time I pass his room or I see him, it's just a terrible reminder of just everything.
Eve: Oh, you poor thing. You know, maybe you need some air.
Theresa: No, I'm fine.
Eve: No, I mean, if you would like to take a walk, I have something that actually might cheer you up, and you know what? You'd be doing me a favor too.
Theresa: Okay. Hey, but do me a favor. When you talk to Jennifer, just give her hell for both of us.
Eve: Oh, you bet I will. [Chuckles]
Clyde: You have had your skivvies in such a bunch about anyone seeing the two of us together, I thought I would just jump in there and introduce myself. That way, if anyone should see us in the future, they wouldn't suspect a thing.
Kate: Oh, brilliant.
Clyde: And personally, ms. Roberts, I'm rather fond of the idea of being seen with you in public. You are an extraordinary woman.
Aiden: [Sighs] Well, what is wrong with the first?
Hope: It's not gonna work. It's labor day.
Aiden: Yeah, that's right. It is labor day, and I'll be laboring away at my office.
Hope: Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that, but it's officer post's first weekend off in a month.
Aiden: Okay, you realize I need to get this done before I go to court and there's a trial.
Hope: Look, I'm doing the best I can here.
Aiden: Really?
Hope: Officer post has been on an extended undercover assignment.
Aiden: All right, well, how about when she's off duty?
Hope: She's a single mother with two kids, pulling double-- okay, I tell you what. I will talk to her and see what I can do, all right?
Aiden: All right, well, I won't hold my breath.
Hope: What? Really?
Aiden: No, I'm sorry. The hope Brady that I first met at St. Luke's--well, I think she is back.
Hope: And what is that supposed to mean, Mr. Jennings?
Aiden: Oh, you know exactly what it means. Everything is an argument with you.
Hope: Oh, so now you're making this personal.
Aiden: It is personal. Why does it have to be like this?
Hope: Like what?
Aiden: Like this! Like we're always yelling at each other.
[Knock at door]
Eve: I hope this isn't a bad time. I hate to interrupt your hard day at work, but apparently there was a snafu with the publisher, and my check was sent to you by mistake.
Jennifer: Right, and I was going to put it in the mail.
Eve: Jennifer, I am here now.
Jennifer: Well, the check is at home.
Eve: Well, go get it.
Jennifer: I'm working. I'm not going anywhere.
Eve: Since when?
Jennifer: Excuse me.
Eve: No, excuse me. This is totally unacceptable.
JJ: You know, I didn't mean to upset you.
Paige: No, you didn't. He wasn't another guy, JJ. It's my dad. I never talk about him because it makes my mom go ballistic. [Sighs]
JJ: Well, I won't go ballistic. But you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to.
Paige: There's not much to say. One day, he and my mom got in a fight, and he walked out the door and never came back.
JJ: Paige, I'm really sorry.
Paige: [Sighs] He sent postcards every now and then, but they eventually stopped. Then my mom just stopped mentioning him. [Sighs] My mom drives me nuts sometimes, but I understand why she acts the way she does with men, with me. She just never got over him leaving.
JJ: Yeah, and neither have you.
Paige: Mm-mm. But you know how that feels, huh?
Kate: Clyde, I really do appreciate your kind words, but if you think you're going to use me to--
Clyde: Use you? No, I wouldn't think of it. I do think of us as partners in all this, though. You know, dancing with the one who brung you, right? I mean, you are the reason I'm here, Kate.
Kate: Well, yes.
Clyde: And I do consider myself very lucky not only to be reunited with my kids, but I've never met anyone like you. Such a beauty with a zest for life and, the same time, a real barracuda when it comes to business.
[Both chuckle]
Kate: Is that a compliment?
Clyde: Oh, definitely. I have really enjoyed the time that we've spent together.
Kate: Well, my part of being a barracuda means that I'm very busy, so...
Clyde: Oh, I'm getting carried away here, aren't I? I'm sorry. I have a habit of saying what's on my mind. That's what people do where I'm from.
Kate: Hmm, well, that's charming.
Clyde: Well, it can be, but I know it can also turn some people off here in Salem, and I wouldn't want to do that.
Kate: All's well that ends well. If you excuse me...
Clyde: Well, it hasn't ended yet, though. I mean, before you run off to make Mr. DiMera another million or two, don't you have some valuable information for me?
Jordan: Rafe, please wait.
Hope: I am not the one who's yelling.
Aiden: Well, you are now.
Hope: [Sighs] As soon as officer post--
Aiden: Don't call you. You'll call me. Sure.
[Flowing orchestral music]
Hope: Tyler. I'm going for a run. If anyone calls, I'm taking an early lunch.
Theresa: Well, is it hot in here, or is it just the two of you?
Paige: Aunt Theresa, what are you doing here?
Theresa: Oh, your mom didn't text you to tell you that I was stopping by?
Paige: No, I-I don't have my phone.
Theresa: Right. Well, I hate to disturb the two of you, but eve told me that you were out here working hard. Of course, JJ did always know how to mix business with pleasure, didn't he?
JJ: Theresa, you should go.
Theresa: No, actually eve told me to stop by here because I have to pick up a photo album that our dad gave her by mistake. So you know what? Considering what I just walked in on, JJ, I think that she would say that you are the one who should be going.
Paige: My mom's fine with me and JJ.
Theresa: Really? Huh, that's funny. Maybe we should call her right now and just see what she has to say about that.
Eve: The ink's not even dry on our settlement, and you're already playing games with me, Jennifer.
Jennifer: I had no idea that you were coming here to pick up a check. If you had been courteous enough to call or text me, I would've made appropriate arrangements.
Eve: Good grief, I was just trying to save you a stamp.
Jennifer: No, you were not. You just can't wait an hour to get your hands on my husband's money.
Eve: Guess what. It's my money now, but you know what? All the attention Abigail's scandal must be getting, I can understand that you're probably--well, mailing out my check was the last thing--
Jennifer: Don't you-- don't you dare go there.
JJ: What the hell's the matter with you?
Paige: JJ, I think you should go. I'll handle this.
JJ: Yeah, but--
Paige: JJ, please.
JJ: If that's what you want.
Paige: Yeah, I'll call you. [Sighs]
Theresa: Look, relax. I'm not going to tell your mom now that he's gone.
Paige: Of course you are. You hate JJ and resent my mom, and now you have the perfect chance to stick it to both of them. [Sighs] For the record, it wasn't...
Theresa: What it looked like?
Paige: No. Just got a little carried away.
Theresa: That is how it always happens.
Paige: Maybe for you, but I'm not like you, aunt Theresa. I'm not gonna sleep with JJ just because I can.
Theresa: Well, then you're a very smart girl.
Paige: Yes, I am, and I'm the last person you should be worrying about.
Abigail: Ugh, wow. Hmm.
Ben: I warned you.
Abigail: Yeah, I guess I know why you're moving everything to a new storage place.
Ben: Yeah, plus it's a lot closer to the club. Are you sure you want to do this?
Abigail: Yeah, totally. Got nothing else to do.
Ben: You really want to get dirty, huh? I mean...
Abigail: Yeah, no, I know what you meant. You were just trying to give me an out, which, frankly, is kind of insulting. What, do you think that I'm afraid I'm gonna chip a nail or something?
Ben: No.
Abigail: That I'm too fragile to lift these heavy boxes?
Ben: I'm the guy who told you you can do any job you want, you remember?
Abigail: Yeah, I kind of do.
Ben: Yeah.
Abigail: No slacking, mister. We've got work to do.
Rafe: So how are you doing?
Jordan: Fine.
Rafe: Good. Work keeping you busy?
Jordan: Yeah, yeah. You?
Rafe: Yeah. So, so busy. Just... been working a lot of overtime, and yesterday, I actually had the day off. I went to see Gabi.
Jordan: I'm sure she was grateful for that.
Rafe: Yeah. Yeah. I wish I could've brought Ari, though. She--she's growing up so quickly.
Jordan: Well, I can't imagine how Gabi's doing, being away from her baby girl, but at least she knows Ari's in terrific hands--two dads, great uncle.
Rafe: Jordan--
Jordan: Rafe, I--
Rafe: No, no. I'm sorry.
Jordan: No, you--sorry.
Rafe: Go ahead, go. I'm sure you do not want to hear about me and my workload, overtime.
Jordan: No, I have a question for you.
Rafe: All right.
Jordan: A very important one.
Hope: Oh, ow. [Sighs] Damn it. [Sighs] Should've stretched. [Groans] [Panting slowly]
Jennifer: Have you forgotten our agreement? My family is off-limits to you.
Eve: What? I can't even breathe your daughter's name or sympathize with her plight?
Jennifer: You are not sympathizing with my daughter's plight. You only have sympathy for yourself, and the only reason you are here is to get your money.
Eve: Well, since you brought it up, yeah, it is my money, and guess what. I want it!
Jennifer: And you will get it when I get around to it. Now, get out!
Eve: [Scoffs]
Jennifer: [Gasps] [Sighs]
Eve: [Sighs] My check's at her house, where I will find her unemployed slut of a daughter. Two for the price of one. I'm gonna love this.
Kate: I'm so sorry. I almost forgot. This gentleman can help you.
Clyde: Thank you. I'll give him a holler.
Kate: You do that. He's expecting your call.
Clyde: Can't thank you enough.
Kate: You're welcome.
Clyde: And I meant what I said before.
Kate: What was that?
Clyde: You're quite a woman.
Kate: Thank you, Clyde.
Jordan: Abigail's having a hard time finding a job after Sami forced her to resign from the hospital.
Rafe: Oh, okay. Well, sorry to hear that.
Jordan: She told me she's applying for the marketing job at the sports complex in west Salem, and your friend still works there, right?
Rafe: Yeah. Yeah, sure does. So this is about Abigail?
Jordan: Yeah, she could really use someone putting in a good word for her. All this stuff about her affair with EJ has really kind of hurt her job search.
Rafe: Yeah, I have no idea why will wrote that article. So did Abigail ask you to talk to me?
Jordan: No, I'm asking for this favor, Rafe, not her.
Rafe: Right. Okay. Well, you know I'll do what I can.
Jordan: Great, thanks.
Rafe: Yeah.
Jordan: All right, well, I gotta get going.
Aiden: You okay?
Jennifer: You're gonna get through this, Abigail, same way your brother got through that nightmare with Theresa... because I am your mom, and it is my job to protect you no matter what it takes.
Abigail: This is going a lot faster than I thought.
Ben: Yeah, thanks to you.
Abigail: Oh, I'm gonna get this box.
Ben: What box?
Abigail: This one over here.
Ben: No, no, don't-- [Sighs]
Paige: What are you doing here?
Theresa: My photo album, the one your mom sent me for.
Paige: Here, this must be it.
Theresa: Look, Paige, I know that you don't want to talk about this, but I've been down on the floor with guys before, and I can't say that I've always made the same choice that you did.
Paige: No kidding.
Theresa: But let me just tell you that I think that the way you're playing this is smart, so keep it up. If you want a guy to stick around, you have to hold out for as long as possible, because as soon as you give JJ or any man what he wants, he'll be gone in a Salem second.
[Playing melancholy riff]
[Playing harsh blues riff]
[Knock at door]
Eve: JJ.
JJ: What did Theresa tell you?
