John: You really think that I don't know all the grief you've caused your family, and how they really feel about you?

Theresa: Damn it, just shut up!

John: You are a complete embarrassment to them!

Theresa: I said, shut up! Just stay away from him. He hates you.

John: Just--just back off.

Sami: Oh, to be clear, EJ is not the only one who's going to suffer for what they did. I will make sure that little Abby suffers too.

Eric: Sami. Do you really want to punish a young woman for making a mistake? I mean, don't you remember how you were at that age?

Sami: I never pretended to be Mary Poppins. She was teaching me about art while having sex with my fiancé.

Eric: EJ is attractive. He's a forceful man. She's just an impressionable y--

Sami: Slut! She's an impressionable slut. I know it, and now her mother knows it too.

Daniel: Yeah, yeah, so I talked to the doctors there. And grandma Nancy is gonna be just fine. And she's gonna be so excited to see you tomorrow morning. Yeah, so, you have fun with your mother and Craig-- I know, I know--I am so sorry, Parker. But we are gonna do everything that we planned as soon as you get home. And that includes miniature golf. Eve: Everything okay?

Daniel: Uh, yeah, it's fine. I was just talking to my son.

Eve: Yeah, I know. I couldn't help but overhear. And you sound...well, you sounded just a little bit lonely.

Theresa: [Gasps]

Henderson: Lucy, I need you in the kitchen.

Theresa: Oh, God. What have I done?

Eric: Don't drag me into this, Sami. I have no reason to want revenge.

Sami: What if he knew? What if EJ really knew what Kristen had done to you?

Eric: So, he knew she drugged me?

Sami: And raped you. What if he knew all of that, before the wedding? He could have stopped that whole horrible day, and he didn't. Don't you think you'd deserve revenge, then?

Eric: How long have you known that?

Sami: Well, I don't know for sure. I mean, I've suspected--

Eric: And when you thought you were in love with EJ... you kept it quiet. But now that you hate him, you decided to share?

Sami: N--no, I didn't tell you, because I didn't want to hurt you.

Eric: No, you didn't want to upset the apple cart. You had him, Sami. And that was the main thing. Imagine that. Samantha Brady was taking care of herself first.

Sami: EJ told me that he knew you and Kristen had had sex. But that he thought it was consensual. Yes, I believed him. I wanted to believe him. I was in love with him. And then, when I found out about Abby, I realized what a fool I had been, that of course he must have known what really happened.

Eric: So, when you gave him--

Sami: So, yes, I think he should pay!

Eric: So, when you gave him amnesty, you had to revoke, because of what happened with Abigail?

Sami: Well, I--

Eric: Sami. I just wish you would have been clear with me about what you suspected. It could have helped me.

Sami: I loved him, and... and we have two kids together. Eric, I'm sorry.

Eric: Which leads me to my next point. You need to take care of them, before you do whatever it is you have planned with Kate.

Tad: Hmm. That's cool. Where'd you get that?

Ben: Oh, I made it. I like working with my hands.

Tad: That's really something.

Ben: Yeah, maybe I'll try selling it or something.

Tad: Bull. You made that for Abigail, didn't you?

Jennifer: Don't you think you've been through enough today, honey?

Abigail: Please, mom. After what I have...been through, please, at least... let me feel like I'm a part of this family.

JJ: Wait, what--what's that supposed to mean?

Abigail: Although I-I totally understand that I wasn't honest with both of you. And, I should've--

Jennifer: Honey, I understand why you didn't tell us about EJ. But, yes, you are a part of this family.

Abigail: Then tell me. Tell me what's going on, so I have something else to think about. Give me a chance to--to help, to figure out how to deal with Eve.

Jennifer: Okay, well, that is gonna be rough, because she is being very difficult--to say the least--right now. And the truth is, it is going to be really hard to come to any kind of an agreement.

Daniel: Well, I think he understands why he needs to be with his mother. But, he's still disappointed that our plans, you know, fell through, tonight.

Eve: Yeah. We hate disappointing our children. I mean, even when it's unavoidable, right?

Daniel: All right, yeah. Sounds like you've been there.

Eve: Yeah. They grow up and then they turn the tables on you. My daughter stood me up for community service tonight.

Daniel: Ow.

Eve: So, I, uh, consoled myself. Did a little shoe shoppin'.

Daniel: Wow.

Eve: [Laughs] Yeah. Kinda wish these were a little bit more comfortable, but, uh, um. I don't know, these are killer in more ways than one. They're killin' me.

Daniel: Yeah.

Eve: Can I--can I sit down? Do you mind?

Both: [Laugh]

Eve: Wow, this is-- this is nice. I mean, I just happened to bump into...probably my only friend in this town.

Theresa: [Breathing heavily] Oh, God.

Brady: [Groans]

Theresa: [Exhales] [Panting] Oh, God. Okay. Oh, God. John, please, just stop. Please, don't! Oh, God!

Henderson: What is going on? Mr. Black, do you-- good God, what on earth happened here?

Ben: Well, maybe I was thinking about giving it to Abigail. But...maybe it's too lame, you know?

Tad: Nm-mm.

Ben: She probably already has a really nice one. I just--I felt like I was supposed to do something special for her. She's been so down, after everything that happened at the wedding, and--

Tad: Dude, it's cool. It's handmade. She's gonna love it.

Ben: I hope so.

Sami: Hold on a second. You think that little miss Deveraux should get a free pass, just because I should be thinking about my kids?

Eric: She's not going to get a free pass. You've already seen to it.

Sami: I'll have you know, I do think about my kids first, every time. I love them, I protect them. I give them whatever they need.

Eric: Samantha, what they need is your love most.

Sami: Well, they have that.

Eric: No, they need you to be a good example of what right and wrong is. The last thing they need to know is that their mother married their father in order to get revenge. Samantha, you're the grown-up here.

Sami: You used to be a priest. You wanted that more than anything, and the DiMeras took that away from you. And you somehow managed to turn the other cheek. Well, I can't do that. I'm sorry, I just can't. I live in the real world, and that is not how I roll. [Exhales] Payback isn't a bitch, it's my pleasure.

Eric: Okay, all this anger inside of you right now, you just--

Sami: No, I have every right to be angry. My husband cheated on me with the sweetheart of sigma chi.

Eric: Okay, you're using that anger to push down all the pain.

Sami: [Scoffs]

Eric: But I'm telling you, it's not gonna work.

Sami: No, all right? I don't need to hear this. You want me to...feel the pain? You want me to grieve? I will grieve, I promise you, I will wallow in grief. After...I grind Stefano and EJ into dust. And, to be clear, I am not going to let anybody stop me.

Eric: Oh, God, what is she gonna do next?

Jennifer: So I made her an offer and gave her exactly what she asked for. Half of everything.

Abigail: What? That I--that is way too generous.

Jennifer: Well, Eve... [Laughs] Obviously doesn't think so, because she wants more.

Abigail: What?

Jennifer: Honey, all she cares about is money. She couldn't care less about what your dad wanted.

Abigail: Ugh. How about this for a counter offer? She backs off completely, and I won't bash her face in.

Jennifer: Honey.

JJ: Ooh, Abs.

Abigail: I'm sorry.

JJ: Easy, all right? Look, I talked to her earlier. And she seemed, um-- well, maybe she and Mom push each other's buttons, because she seemed a lot cooler to me. And I actually think that we can come to some kind of understanding, if we just stay calm.

Abigail: I find it really hard to "stay calm" about daddy's final wish, JJ. And Mom just said that Eve doesn't give a damn about that. So, no, we're not gonna come to an understanding. We're going to fight her.

JJ: No, I-I don't want to fight.

Abigail: Because of Paige. I-I get that, I do. But so does Eve, and she is using you.

JJ: No--no, she's not.

Abigail: Yes, she is!

Jennifer: Stop this, please? Can we just let the lawyers handle this? I don't want the three of us to start fighting over this.

Abigail: Right. [Exhales] Okay, uh, I gotta go. I have to see someone about what happened today with Sami and EJ.

Jennifer: Do you have to, honey?

Abigail: Yeah, yeah. I-I don't want everyone who means anything to me to hear about it from Sami.

JJ: Well, do you want me to go with you?

Abigail: No, thanks. Sorry, I'm just--not a great day. Bye.

Eve: [Laughing] No, really, thank you so much.

Daniel: Mm-hmm.

Eve: My feet are killing me.

Daniel: [Laughs]

Eve: I'm exhausted. But you know what I'd like?

Daniel: Hmm?

Eve: I think I would like a drink.

Daniel: Yeah?

Eve: How about you? And I don't like to drink alone, so since I'm here with a very handsome man, would you care to join me?

Daniel: Me?

Eve: Yes, you. [Laughs]

Daniel: I...actually, I-I'm on call.

Eve: Oh, right, of course you are. You know, it's so funny. When you stopped being my doctor, you just stopped being one altogether.

Daniel: Okay, well, I hope you understand, I just...

Eve: [Laughing] Of course, yes, I do, I--yes.

Daniel: Okay, okay, all right.

Eve: And, I also understand if you want to keep your distance, because of Theresa. Believe me, I want to keep my distance because of her too.

Daniel: Okay, well, hold on. Let me just say that I think you've handled this whole Theresa situation very well. Honestly. And I-I appreciate it.

Eve: My sister is, um, difficult.

Daniel: Well, though I don't know you very well, obviously... but, uh, you and Theresa have taken two different paths. Two very, very different people.

Eve: Well, you know what? I'm gonna take that as a compliment, so thank you.

Both: [Laugh]

Theresa: [Exhales] I-I don't think that he's breathing. Just--here's John's phone, okay? Call an ambulance. And tell them I can't get a pulse. Oh, God, I-I think he might be dead. That new guy is like a donut, tasty.

Eve: Okay, right now, wait, wait.

Daniel: Oh, what?

Eve: Just so we're clear, this does not count as our drink together, okay?

Daniel: Yes, it does.

Eve: No, because you're having coffee.

Daniel: It does--well, come--

Eve: You're having coffee.

Eve: So, tell me, what's it like to be on call all the time? I mean, isn't it distracting? I mean, half your brain at the hospital all the time?

Daniel: No, I-I compartmentalize.

Eve: Really?

Daniel: Yeah.

Eve: So, for example, if you're with your son, you can just focus on him, and you're not concerned that the phone's gonna ring at an--

[Phone ringing]

Daniel: Kinda like, that?

Eve: Yeah.

Daniel: Excuse me.

Eve: Okay.

Daniel: Uh, I'm sorry, you are gonna have to have that drink alone. Uh, woo, I've got to go.

Daniel: I am really, really sorry.

JJ: And, how about we talk about that bitch, Sami?

Jennifer: JJ.

JJ: Well, come on, mom. She comes over here, then dumps all this on abs so you find out...when it was all EJ's fault. Now that defines "bitch."

Jennifer: Okay, EJ cheated on Sami and now he's in jail. She is reeling. But, yes, it was a rotten thing for her to do.

JJ: Well, EJ's in jail, and that's where he should be. The thing is, Sami's still at large, and I-I've got to make sure she doesn't get away with this.

Jennifer: Where are you going?

JJ: I want to go find her and make her sorry that she screwed with my sister.

Jennifer: JJ!

Sami: Uh, excuse me, Ben?

Ben: Hey.

Sami: Hi.

Ben: Hey.

Sami: I haven't seen you since the wedding.

Ben: Right, how you doing?

Sami: Oh, well, I've had better weeks, ha.

Ben: I'm really sorry.

Ben: I'm working right now, but...

Sami: Oh, I know, I'm sorry. It's j--it's sort of important.

Abigail: Oh, no, no. You are not going anywhere. Not until I get a chance to tell you what I think about you, you--you grubby, money-hungry little bitch.

Eve: [Exhales]

Theresa: Um, no, no, he--he--he--he's just drunk, um. He's the one that needs help.

Abe: Hey--hey, Ther--Theresa. What in God's name happened here?

Theresa: I don't know, I just--it all happened so fast. Um, John, he--he came over to talk to Brady, and I-- I thought that they would want some privacy, so I-I left. But then I-I heard John was attacking Brady, and so... God, um, so, Brady... must have just somehow grabbed the fire poker, because when I came back in, John, he--he was going after Brady, and--[Pants] Brady...he hit John across the head. But don't you see? Brady didn't do anything wrong, it was self-defense.

Abe: You said he was drunk.

Theresa: Wh--he had a couple drinks.

Abe: He's passed out.

Get the door.

Henderson: Here you go.

Brady: [Muttering]

Abe: Come on, take it easy, now take it easy.

Sami: [Sighs] Well, first of all, I guess I just want to apologize for everything that happened at the wedding. You know, that you had to witness that? And, um...I'm sorry. I feel terrible about that.

Ben: No, I'm--I'm the least of your worries.

Sami: Are you kidding me? I practically...forced you to come. I mean, I was just thinking about making sure that Abby had a date, so that she could have fun. And I don't know, I--you had to witness that whole fiasco, and, I don't know, it just must have been really uncomfortable... for you.

Ben: Oh, look, you have your kids and your husband to worry about. My comfort level is not important.

Sami: Thank you.

Tad: Sorry to hear about your husband. I hope that everything works out.

Sami: Everyone's been really nice.

Ben: Yeah.

Sami: But it's not--you know, I mean, it's not gonna work out. I'm s--I'm sorry, um... that's the reason I wanted to talk to you. The fact that it's not gonna work out, um, well, it has do with you.

Eve: You're as judgmental as your mother, but with no self-control.

Abigail: I lose my self control when I'm face-to-face with someone who is trying to steal money from veterans.

Eve: Hmm, judgmental and wrong. If you think about it, getting the maximum from the movie rights...everyone benefits. Everyone gets more money, including the vets, and that is exactly what jack would have wanted.

Abigail: You have no idea what my father would have wanted.

Eve: Uh.

Abigail: Don't--don't talk about him like that. Don't--don't use his name to justify stealing money that should be helping people, and making my mother's life a living hell in the process.

Eve: You know what? I-I really have no interest in debating an issue with someone who refuses to face the facts, please.

Abigail: The--the fact is, any decent, ethical person would know you have no claim on my father's book. And--and another fact, Eve. How do we even know that--that this annulment document isn't a total fake? We only have your word that my father signed over any rights to anything. Your--your word, which is so totally insane, since it's highly unlikely my father would sign over the rights of an unwritten book to a woman who was nothing to him. And who's--who still is nothing. You are nothing but a greedy, selfish little troublemaker, just like your sister. A-and if you two--if you two would simply get out of Salem... [Laughs] There would be dancing in the streets.

Theresa: Is he all right?

We have him on an IV to flush the alcohol out of his system.

Brady: Which--where am I? Where am I?

Theresa: I already told you, okay? I-I wasn't in the room when they were fighting. I just--I know that Brady didn't mean to hurt his father, all right? It was self-defense.

Abe: But you said you weren't in the room.

Theresa: I know, but just-- please, just leave us alone. We don't even know how John is.

Brady: My dad? What did--w-w-w-what about him?

Theresa: Uh, Brady, everything's fine, okay?

[Beeping]

Daniel: There's a massive amount of intercranial hemorrhaging. He needs surgery. Let's prep him? And pray he lasts long enough for us to start. 'Cause right now? We're about to lose him.

Jennifer: Okay, this--this has not been a great day. And I feel like my family is under attack, and I am not gonna let you just go charging off to add kerosene to the fire.

JJ: Okay. You're right, I'm--I'm sorry.

Jennifer: Okay. And now that we have that settled, I just want you to know that fighting for your sister like that... it reminds me of the absolute best part of your dad.

JJ: So you like it that I feel like he felt, but you don't like it that I acted like him.

Jennifer: Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

JJ: I'm sorry.

Jennifer: And, you know what really stinks? Is that your sister is gonna have to through this on her own.

JJ: Mom, w-when you said that you felt like you're under attack, that was Sami and Eve, right? Because I think that Eve might be ready to make a truce. Just for Paige's sake. And, say what you will, but she does love Paige.

Jennifer: Mm-hmm, well, I hope that is true.

JJ: It's--you're not--not buying it?

Jennifer: I've known Eve a long time. And I need more than her word on it.

[Knock on door]

Jennifer: [Exhales] What now?

Eric: Hey, I was... wondering if you could talk for a minute.

Jennifer: Yeah, come on in.

Eric: Hey, JJ.

JJ: Hey. Don't worry about it, I was-- I was just going. Um, trust me, I'm not gonna put any kerosene on any fire.

Eric: Meaning?

Jennifer: Mm, meaning don't ask.

Eric: Jennifer, you are my friend. And I couldn't not...talk to you about what's happening. I know that Sami was here earlier.

Jennifer: Yeah.

Eric: And she kinda lit into Abigail.

Jennifer: Right, I appreciate that. It has been a painful day.

Eric: I just want you to know she was wrong.

Ben: I don't think I'm getting what you're trying to tell me.

Sami: You seem like this really great guy. And I would hate for you to get hurt because of my messed-up situation.

Ben: I don't see how it could happen. I mean, it has nothing to do with me. I was only at the wedding to be with Abigail.

Sami: That was clear. It was clear how much you...care about her. And, you see, that's why--that's why I feel like I have to... make you understand. This is about you... and Abby.

Ben: [Exhales]

Abigail: I don't know who the hell you think you are. You think you can just waltz in here and demand money from my father's estate?

Eve: [Sighs]

Abigail: Let--let me tell you something, Eve. Your marriage was annulled, which--last time I checked-- means it never even happened.

Eve: And I'm telling you right now, he had high hopes--no doubt as all parents do--that their children would lead good, honorable lives, that they'd have kind hearts and gentle souls.

Eve: Look at you, ranting and raving out here in public, totally making a scene. He would be appalled at your behavior. Yeah, and how you turned out.

Abigail: Ugh, I have to go.

Eve: You know what? He wouldn't be proud of you at all, not one bit. Bitching and moaning, right out here in public like the spoiled little brat that you are. He would be downright disgusted with--

Abigail: [Yells] [Exhales]

Brady: What's goin' on? Why are you talking about my father? What--where is he?

Abe: Brady, you and your father got in a fight. He's in the O.R.

Brady: How--how--how is he?

Theresa: Brady, the--the doctors said that they would tell us as soon as they heard any news.

Brady: Wait, hold on. He's in--he's in surgery? Is he being operated on? What--how bad is he? What did--

Abe: B-Brady, we--we just don't know, yet.

Brady: No, you do--you do know.

Theresa: No, Brady, no, no!

Abe: Come on, now.

Brady: I'm finding out what happened.

[Steady beep]

Daniel: Damn it! [Exhales]

Abigail: Don't you ever talk about my father to me again.

Eve: I'm gonna have you brought up on charges, young lady, do you hear me? You're gonna be sorry you ever hit me.

JJ: What is--what is wrong with you?

Abigail: I... I-I-I-I lost it, I--

Eve: Yeah, you can say that again.

Eve: You should be apologizing to me.

Jennifer: Eric, this is eating her up inside. She cannot forgive herself.

Eric: I hate to hear that. I'm pretty sure EJ had hoped that Sami wouldn't have found out, but I can tell you that he's not in any pain. I'm sure he's found a way to forgive himself.

Jennifer: [Laughs] Yeah. Thank you for that. Abigail has had a really tough few years, grieving her father. And he is a predator, a sociopath. [Sniffs]

Eric: I know. I just wish there was something more I could do.

Jennifer: No, there isn't anything that anyone can do.

Eric: I'm not so sure that's true.

Ben: I'm sorry, Mrs. DiMera. I just--I don't see how this is any of my business.

Sami: Oh, no--no, Sami. Please, call me Sami. I just--I saw how you stood by her, the night that nick was... murdered. And I've seen how you look at her. How you looked at her that day, at the wedding.

Ben: We're just--we're friends, that's it.

Sami: It seems to me to be more than that. You seem to really care about her, don't you? I mean, she's so beautiful, right? It's not just that, too, right? She's smart and kind and she's a very special person, isn't she?

Ben: She is.

Sami: I thought so. She got to you. Just like she got to EJ.

Ben: What?

Sami: I thought she was my friend. [Sniffs] I mean, I asked her to be my maid of honor. [Sniffs] And she knew...that I just wanted to spend the rest of my life...with EJ. Oh, I couldn't wait to marry him. But somehow that didn't stop her... from sleeping with him. In fact, it probably just made it more exciting.

Daniel: All right, clear. [Exhales] Come on, John. All right, clear. [Exhales]

Brady: I'm not going anywhere until I know what happened to my--

I'll tell you what's going on. Your father's in surgery. If you settle down, I'll try to find out what's happening.

Brady: Thank you. All right.

Theresa: Hey.

Brady: Henderson, what happened?

Henderson: [Sighs] I'm not sure. I heard Ms. Donovan screaming, and when I went into the living room, you and your father were both on the floor.

Brady: Tell me what happened.

Theresa: You don't remember? Look-- [Exhales] Just--

Brady: Do you understand? The last thing I remember is being on the jet. That's all.

Theresa: Right.

Brady: What happened?

Theresa: Um, look, Brady, I-- I don't really know all of the details, okay? Um, but... [Exhales] I wasn't there the whole time, but...John came over, and he demanded to talk to you alone, so I left, and then--and then I heard shouting from both of you, and...when I came back in, John was attacking you, and...I guess at some point, you grabbed the fire poker, and...

Brady: And--and, t-tell me, what?

Theresa: You just--you hit him over the head, okay? And he fell on the ground, and I-I couldn't wake him up.

Ben: No.

Sami: Yes. She slept with him, knowing that he was engaged to me. She had sex with him, knowing that we have two children together. She acted like she cared about me. She was helping me study art, so that I could impress EJ on our honeymoon. She was...close with my kids. [Sniffs] The whole time, she was lying to me. She was lying to everyone. [Exhales] And anyway... it was around the same time that she kept talking about how she was getting close with you. So, um...I guess I just--I just felt you had a right to know. I'm sorry.

Ben: No, it--Sami, it--it couldn't be.

Sami: Well, I have--I have proof. But it's, um, it's pretty graphic, so I, uh, didn't think you'd want to see it.

Eve: Your sister is lucky that I am not pressing charges.

JJ: Ms. Larson?

Eve: Eve, please.

JJ: My dad died saving Abigail's life, so she is not lukewarm about him or his book or what he wanted done with the royalties.

Eve: She slapped me, JJ.

JJ: Are you surprised?

Eve: Wha-- [Scoffs]

JJ: You know, there's something that you need to understand. Just because my mom is a Horton, and just because she doesn't raise her voice, or just because she brought us up saying "thank you" and "please," does not mean that we are going to let you sail into Salem and try to roll over our family. Not without a fight.

Eve: Wow, are you threatening me, JJ?

JJ: No. I am the one in the family who actually wants a truce. And you know why. But ever since you've come back, you are head-butting my mother. And my sister might have overreacted just then, but you have been the aggressor every step of the way.

Eve: I have not.

JJ: Oh, come on. Were you the one with the process server on your doorstep, on the way to Paige's graduation? You did that to my mom. And then, you made sure everyone found out, while my mom was trying to keep quiet, so she didn't ruin my graduation. And then you demanded more money. And I'm pretty sure you gave as good as you got right now with Abigail. So I am not threatening you, I am informing you. You need to dial it back or things are going to get much worse, and you will not get what you want. It was nice talking to you.

Ben: [Exhales]

Tad: You okay?

Ben: I'm fine!

Tad: You don't have to bite my head off, okay? Anyway, I think you'll be feeling a lot better, any--any minute.

Eric: I have a suggestion. Call Daniel.

Jennifer: No.

Eric: I know you still love him.

Jennifer: That is not the point, Eric.

Eric: I think it kind of is.

Jennifer: I-I'm not gonna use my problems to reel Daniel in to rescue me, which he so instinctively does when something is wrong. But that's not fair.

Eric: I don't think Daniel will mind.

Jennifer: Besides, aunt Maggie said he had something really special planned with Parker tonight. And I'm not gonna ruin his wonderful evening.

Brady: I hit him? Did you see me hit him?

Theresa: Brady...

Brady: Is he--is my dad all right?

Daniel: No.

Brady: Did I kill him?
