Eric: Well, you know that is why I bought it, so you could blind the passersby with it.

Nicole: And to prove how much you love me, and that you're dying to marry me.

Eric: [Laughs]

Nicole: [Laughs]

Eric: Are you ready to spread the word?

Nicole: I guess. There is one thing I wanna do before we start telling people.

Eric: And that would be?

Nicole: Buy a bullhorn! Sorry.

Eric: You don't need one. I've seen you work the phone.

Nicole: [Laughs] You're right. So we agree Jennifer and Daniel are the first to know?

Eric: Agreed.

Nicole: Okay. Mm-hmm.

Eric: [Clears throat]

Nicole: It's over, Eric. This whole horrible mess is over. [Sighs]

Daniel: What in the hell is this?

Abigail: No. No, I have to tell her. She has to hear the truth from me.

[Footsteps approaching]

Ben: Abigail. Are you okay?

Abigail: Yeah, of course I am, I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?

Jordan: Well, I checked online, and it shows the flight to San Francisco tomorrow is sold out. Can you double-check? I'm only flying one way. I'm not coming back. [Sighs] Okay, thanks for trying.

Gabi: Are you going somewhere?

Nick: You all need to learn how to stay in line. Because I'm the one with all the cards now. You might have all of them snowed, golden boy... but what about the rest of the world? Anybody who heard the truth about you would have to question your fitness as a father. [Sniffles] We've both been waiting a while for this day...haven't we, will?

Abigail: I thought that you said you weren't going to intrude. I said I'm fine!

Jennifer: Daniel? Hey. There you are.

Daniel: Hey. Hey, how are you?

Jennifer: Good. Didn't you hear me calling you?

JJ: Hey... I'm sorry. I-I kinda got carried away there.

Paige: You don't have to be sorry. It was pretty mutual.

JJ: I-I wanna let you know that I am really going to miss you when you go to Stanford.

Paige: In four months.

JJ: 3 1/2 months. Paige, I'M... I'm sorry that I was such a jerk before.

Paige: You've already apologized. And you told me about your dad, so now I understand. And last night, being so scared about losing your mom... I get it.

JJ: Maybe a little better than I do.

Paige: [Laughs]

JJ: You know, I... [Sighs] I just... I really hope that we can figure things out, because I really like you.

Paige: I like you too.

JJ: So then, uh, do you wanna go out sometime? Maybe tomorrow night.

Paige: No. Definitely tomorrow night. [Laughs]

JJ: [Laughs]

Daniel: Uh, no, I, uh-- I didn't hear you. Must've been the wind.

Jennifer: Yeah. Well, I knew that you came down here to look for my necklace. But, hey! Good news, I found it in the cabin.

Daniel: There you go. I knew you would!

Jennifer: Yeah. So listen, since there's nothing else to look for, can we just get out of here, please?

Daniel: Uh...

Jennifer: You okay?

Daniel: No, um, not exactly.

Nicole: I know I've been talking about this ring a lot. But it's easier to tell you how beautiful this ring is than to talk to you about all the... amazing gifts that you've given me that mean more than this. Your trust in me, your faith. And after all our ups and downs... [Sighs] Here we are.

Eric: Here we are.

Nicole: I have something for you. Something I've had for a long time, just waiting for the right time to give it to you. And like this ring, it comes wrapped in love, trust, and devotion.

Jordan: It's complicated.

Jennifer: Yes, thank you. We are fine. Thank God. So...you guys leaving?

JJ: Uh, just Paige actually. Yeah. Hey, guess what. Paige got into Stanford.

Jennifer: [Gasps] Oh, my goodness, honey, that's awesome.

Paige: [Laughs]

Jennifer: Wow! A degree from Stanford, that will definitely make it easier for you to get into medical school.

Paige: I still can hardly believe it. Um... I--well, I better get going. Uh, but it was so nice to see you again, Mrs. Devereaux.

Jennifer: Yeah, you too, honey. Bye-bye.

JJ: I'll get it. Hey, um, I'll call you later about tomorrow, okay?

Paige: All right.

JJ: All right.

Jennifer: Hmm.

JJ: What?

Jennifer: I like her. And I don't think I'm the only one here who does.

JJ: Mm.

Nicole: Yes, I did. You deserve this. And I know you, you would never get one yourself. This is so great for work.

Eric: Oh, my God.

Nicole: Look, it's got more pixels and all the features that you were talking about. Can you just please... please enjoy it and go out there and take amazing, award-winning photos with it?

Nicole: [Laughs]

Nicole: Well, um... I know how much you've given up to be with me.

Gabi: Jordan, I know how you feel about Rafe. Okay, so if you're not telling him, that means that there's something seriously wrong.

Jordan: I have like a million things to do right now.

Gabi: To get ready to go, right?

Jordan: Gabi, please, please, just let me handle this my way. I-- [Sighs]

Gabi: This is so not like her. I mean, she's a master of control. Damn it.

Abigail: What? Gabi, what is it?

Gabi: It's just... with everything going on, I just kinda held on to the idea that Rafe and Jordan were good. You know, he deserves to be happy.

Abigail: Gabi, "with everything going on"? Is there more? Has Nick done something else?

Nick: What?

Ben: You upset her again, didn't you?

Nick: Can you be a little more specific? I've upset more than one "her" lately.

Ben: [Laughs] Being smug like that, does that make you feel like a man? Scaring Abigail? Is that a little thrill for you?

Nick: [Laughs] You know what? You're jumping to conclusions. There's a lot of reasons that Abigail could be upset or scared that have nothing to do with me.

Ben: I don't think so.

Nick: No?

Ben: In fact I know you have something to do with why she's so unhappy.

Nick: Maybe. Maybe. But I'm not the root cause. Look. I don't like you very much...

Ben: [Laughs]

Nick: But I'm gonna give you a piece of advice. She may look like a kewpie doll. She's a complicated piece of work. And you're asking for a real mess if you get involved in her life. And another thing. She's way out of your league, brother. You have a nice day now.

Rafe: Well, that couldn't have worked out better for Nick if he'd have planned it. You attacked him, you threatened his life in front of a cop. You do understand, if you have to go to court over Arianna's custody, his lawyer could call me to testify? Obviously that's gonna work against you.

Will: He was talking about taking Arianna away from me.

Rafe: Exactly! And you are giving him the tools, the ammunition, so that he can do just that. Listen, listen. I do not think for a second that Gabi wants to take Ari from you. But Nick? I've got no idea. And obviously he knows how to work Gabi. I wanna help you. You just have to be smart.

Will: I don't know how to beat him without-- I don't know how to beat him. Not while Gabi is doing whatever he wants.

Rafe: That's not gonna last. Go home, put some ice on that bruise. Stop letting this guy play you.

Nicole: I know how much it meant to you to be a priest. I've had jobs, but...you really did have a vocation. It wasn't just a job to you, it was your life. And I... I am so sorry about what happened to you.

Eric: Hey, you make this sound like this is your fault. I am not a priest because of Kristen, period. Just because I'm with you doesn't mean you took my vocation from me. I shouldn't even have to say this.

Nicole: I know, I know. Of course, I-- [Sighs] Sorry, it's just today has been so incredible, and my mind has been bouncing all over the place since you proposed.

Eric: You should focus on the future. Our future.

Nicole: No more looking back, right?

Eric: I don't see why.

Nicole: [Laughs]

Eric: We tried in every way to prove that I should be a priest. But there was no proof, no proof at all. I think it means that God wants us to be together. We have to accept it and move on. We need to build a life... together. A family. Losing the priesthood was something I thought I couldn't bear to lose. Something I never thought I could get through. But you got me through it. And I am a very happy, very lucky man. I love you.

Nicole: I love you too. And you have no idea how much.

Eric: [Laughs] Well, there's something I wanna show you.

Nicole: Hmm.

Eric: These two people...

Nicole: Yeah.

Eric: They look like they're madly in love. And they're meant to be together.

Jennifer: Is everything okay?

Ben: Here we go again.

Rafe: Ha. Where's Sonny?

Ben: Wasn't here when I clocked in. I don't know where he is.

Abigail: I just don't understand the tension, Gabi. I mean, you and will, you guys always worked everything out. Or...back to what I said before, is it Nick stirring everything up?

Gabi: No! No.

Abigail: Which is Gabi for "yes." Oh, damn it. [Sighs]

Abigail: Okay, um... I'm going to trust you, Gabi. Although when it comes to you and Nick, I don't know if that's the smartest thing to do.

Gabi: You know what, I've had this conversation with too many people.

Abigail: Gabi, please, please. Nick. He knows something about me. I made a really horrible mistake... and Nick knows all about it. Gabi...this is fun for him.

Gabi: No, no!

Abigail: Yes, Gabi, listen to me, please. You have got to help me. He's taunting me, he's making these veiled threats about people finding out. It's terrible, Gabi. I don't know what he's going to do next. My mom almost died last night, Gabi. And this morning he is just throwing this thing in my face. I can't tell you what I did, but... Gabi...he could ruin my life, and my mother's too. So please, please talk to him. You've gotta get him to do the right thing.

Gabi: No. No.

Nick: Damn it, Horton, if I can't find my phone, you're paying for it.

Bev: I have it on great authority that this is the cheesiest zombie film ever made. And they're playing it at that abandoned warehouse. It is gonna be so dope!

JJ: Uh, Bev, um--

Bev: Oh, and we can listen in on dudes there mansplaining to their dates the deep meaning of the film, like they're watching Bergman or something.

JJ: Bev, I can't go.

Bev: Oh, okay. Well, that's fine. I mean, there's a chuck Norris film festival the next day.

JJ: No, no, I mean, um... I can't go out with you... like that, like--like it's a date.

Bev: And the reason for that would be?

JJ: Paige and I, uh... we're gonna--we're gonna try again. You can hate me, but I just... I really hope you don't.

Nicole: Is Daniel here? I tried calling him a few times, but it went straight to voicemail.

Jennifer: Oh, he's got surgery this afternoon.

[Phone ringing]

Eric: Oh, I'm sorry. I gotta take this. It could be a job.

Nicole: Surgery? Wait, what? I thought he was fine. Oh, my God, I didn't mean to hurt him.

Jennifer: Oh, no, Nicole! He's performing surgery. He's at work, he's fine.

Nicole: Oh.

[Both laugh]

Nicole: [Sighs] Thank goodness. Jennifer, I... I always end up hurting the people I love.

Jennifer: Nicole, you were trying to save his life. Our lives.

Nicole: It's just, um... after everything you two have been through, if I ended up taking him away from you, I don't think I could live with myself.

Abigail: Gabi...what is it?

Gabi: When I talk to Nick... he doesn't listen. He doesn't listen to anyone but Nick. I'm sorry.

Abigail: [Sighs]

Gabi: I'm really sorry. You're my friend, and I hate that you're upset, and I hate that he's treating you like this. But Abigail, there's nothing I can do. He hates it when people tell him what to do, okay? I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Abigail: Gabi! Oh, my God. She's in worse shape than I am.

Rafe: Oh. You want a favor.

Ben: Yeah, a big one. I need you to talk Jordan out of leaving Salem.

Rafe: Yeah, that was a couple weeks ago. She stayed.

Ben: Things have changed. She's taking off. I can't get her to change her mind. I was hoping you could. She didn't tell you?

Sonny: What happened?

Will: What do you think happened? Nick happened. Ok who wants sweet rolls?

JJ: The thing is, is I... [Sighs] I feel like I've screwed up here. And if you don't wanna be friends then I don't blame you.

Bev: Oh, thanks.

JJ: But we are friends, and I really like having you as a friend. I do.

Bev: Well, I could try hating you, but... probably wouldn't work. God, I get so frustrated with you, but... you're a really good guy. Even when you do something like this.

JJ: I had to be honest with you.

Bev: No, and you did the right thing, you did. And I don't know, I was kinda going back and forth about going out with you anyway. Truth is it probably would've been a disaster. [Laughs]

JJ: Probably, yeah. [Laughs]

Bev: So, yeah, I mean, maybe we're just better off being just friends. But, you know, there's a problem there too.

JJ: Why is that?

Bev: Paige. I mean, she doesn't like me, and she doesn't like Rory. If you hook up with her, you could be finding yourself looking for a whole new set of friends.

Nicole: You know I love Daniel. But I think I love the idea of you two together more. And I know that probably sounds strange coming from me, but... it's the truth.

Jennifer: Thank you. I do feel that from you. And man, I am so glad that you showed up on that island when you did.

Nicole: [Sighs] Thank goodness it's over.

Jennifer: Right.

Nicole: Not right?

Jennifer: No, I just keep trying to push everything that happened there out of my head, but... there's just one thing that doesn't make any sense, something that Liam said.

Will: [Sighs] Rafe's right. I totally played into Nick's hands. He even heard me tell Nick that I was gonna kill him. Ow!

Will: [Sighs] At least the son of a bitch wasn't wearing a ring. [Sighs] I screwed up.

Sonny: No, you didn't. He pushed your buttons, that's all.

Will: No, that's not all. He can call on Rafe to testify at the custody hearing.

Sonny: Will, EJ--he'll call like 300 people. All of whom would swear that they wanted to kill Nick. And sometimes, when you tell a father you're gonna take his kid away from him, that father stands up and starts swinging. So we gotta stop acting like Nick has all the power.

Will: But he does. He could send us all to prison.

Sonny: Will... I swear to you... I will not let him take Ari. I swear to you I will not let that happen.

Will: There's nothing you can do.

Sonny: No Kiriakis has ever, ever accepted that premise.

Will: [Laughs]

[Metal clang]

Will: [Laughs] What the hell?

JJ: My friends are my friends, all right? It doesn't matter who I date. You're not going anywhere. And Paige will... eventually come around.

Bev: You think so? You think she'll actually wanna be friends?

JJ: Why not? You're great. I mean, you're really great. I knew that from day one.

[Both laugh]

Bev: Paige and me, friends. That'll really be something.

Nicole: I, uh... I just think Liam hated me because I was trying to help you and Daniel.

Jennifer: Yeah. Just such an odd thing for him to say.

Eric: You haven't told her yet, have you?

Jennifer: Told me what?

Nicole: Told you... this!

Jennifer: [Gasps]

Nicole: No, that was just, um, work stuff. I have something weighing on me that maybe I need to get off my chest. And there was this letter.

Daniel: Where did you get it?

Nicole: I don't know what I would do without him.

Daniel: You should just accept being happy.

Rafe: Yeah. Well, it's not so much news as it is a question. Were you even gonna tell me that you were leaving?

Ben: Sorry, Sonny isn't in yet.

Ben: You're right. I don't. [Chuckles] But for some reason I feel like I do.

Will: What do you got in there?

Sonny: Uh, it's just some tools. I had to fix that shelf behind the bar.

Will: Were you going to shoot it? Why--Sonny, why do you have a g-- oh, God. God, no.
