Eric: You're a liar!

Nicole: [Screams]

Eric: Murderer!

Nicole: No! I was only--

Eric: You almost got Daniel and Jennifer and yourself killed...

Nicole: No, how did you--

Eric: For this!

Nicole: [Gasping] No. No, how did you know?

Eric: And now you've murdered my love for you.

Nicole: Noooo! Oh, get it together, Nicole. Hi.

Debra: Hi.

Nicole: Um, thanks for meeting me.

Debra: Are you okay?

Nicole: Well, that depends on what you have to tell me.

Rafe: I'm not sure if Gabi's really fallen for Nick again, or if she's just scared to death. I mean, I know that she loved him once, but I thought she understood.

Kate: Understood what?

Rafe: That it was all based on a lie.

Jordan: Oh, my God. She did it. She knows about me, and she told him everything.

Kate: Hi, Jordan.

Rafe: Hey.

Kate: We were just talking about you.

Rafe: Yep.

Bev: Come on, JJ. You're supposed to be here doing your community service.

Paige: Excuse me.

Bev: Great. What do you want?

Paige: [Sighs] I was wondering, how's JJ doing?

Bev: What's it to you?

[Knock at door]

JJ: What are you--

Rory: Dude, I just read in the paper what happened to your mom and Dr. Jonas.

JJ: Yeah. They're both all right, thank God.

Rory: Yeah. Your mom's doing a little bit more than all right.

JJ: What are you talking about?

Rory: Well, in the picture in the paper, man, she looks really hot. I mean, between her and your sister, I wouldn't even know who to choose, you know?

JJ: Dude, that's my family you're talking about, you moron.

Rory: Ah! What?

Nick: The whole family thinks you're so perfect. Such a saint. If only they knew the truth.

Abigail: What truth?

Nick: That perfect little Abigail Deveraux... is nothing but EJ DiMera's... whore. [Laughs]

Sami: Do it.

EJ: You understand that, if we do this, there is no turning back. It's called a contract for a reason. Once it's done, it cannot be undone.

Sami: Believe me. I get it.

[Line rings]

Debra: The police questioned me this morning. I know that--that Liam kidnapped you and that--that woman he was stalking, Jennifer, and that he was waving a gun around. I-I don't know how you kept it together enough to get his gun. I mean, you must have been scared to death.

Nicole: I was. And now I'm even more frightened about what I think he had in that safe deposit box.

Debra: I went to the bank this morning and told them that I lost my key.

Nicole: Did they give you another one?

Debra: They had to. My--my name was on the lease for the box.

Nicole: Do you know what he put in there? And?

Debra: Nothing surprising. He had a-an insurance policy, his dad's watch, stuff like that. What did you expect I'd find?

Liam: So what do you think your ex-priest friend would think about you destroying the only information that could ever clear his name?

Nicole: Where did he put it?

Debra: Put what? What did my bum of an ex-husband have on you?

[Cell phone chimes]

Jordan: I can explain.

Kate: Oh, there are no explanations needed. Rafe knows how lucky he is to have you in his life, and I was just telling him that.

Rafe: Jordan, is something wrong?

Jordan: No, I'm fine. I-it's just that, um, you seemed so upset.

Rafe: Ha. Yeah, just Nick Fallon again, trying to worm his way back into my sister's life.

Kate: Oh.

Jordan: Did something else happen?

Rafe: Not yet. It's just that Gabi won't listen to a damn word that I say when it comes to the guy.

Jordan: [Sighs] Uh, I'm so sorry.

Kate: It's terrible. Isn't it? I mean, it really is terrible. Poor thing. Gabi let someone into her life who got there in the first place by--by lying to her and deceiving her.

Rafe: Yeah.

Kate: I know, I--look, I'm sorry. Just seems like your sister doesn't realize that her relationship with Nick is based on a lie, you know? It's just terrible when that happens, it really is. Don't you agree, Jordan?

Nick: [Laughing]

Abigail: Stop it, Nick. Stop laughing at me!

Nick: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, just it-- it kind of seems like-- like you've--like you've never slapped anybody before in your entire life.

Abigail: Well, you call me EJ's whore again, and I bet you I can get it right next time.

Nick: Okay, not a whore. Whores get paid. And don't try to tell me that EJ took advantage of you, because I saw the pictures. Okay? You couldn't get his clothes off fast enough. Man, if our family saw those photos, it'd do some serious damage to your saintly reputation.

Abigail: I never pretended to be a saint.

Nick: No. But you're better than me. Right? Always better than me. Just like will. But you know what? At least I owned what I did. I served my time. I didn't let the Bradys cover up what I did like will, and I don't pretend to be something that I'm not. [Chuckles] Like you do. Oh, my God. All I could think of when I saw those photos was that, if grandma Horton saw them, she-- [Snickering] She would-- she would be rolling in her grave. [Laughing]

[Line ringing]

Yes, Mr. DiMera?

EJ: I need something taken care of.

You do know who you're calling, right?

EJ: Yes, I do.

I don't do business over the phone.

EJ: No, of course.

When would you like to meet?

EJ: As soon as possible. These little angels build in softness.

Nicole: [Sighs] Look, if I--if I wanted people to know what Liam had on me, you know, I would've--

Debra: You--you wouldn't have risked your life to get it back, right?

Nicole: Right. No one can know that you and I talked about this.

Debra: Hey, you don't have to worry about me. I'm--I'm leaving town tonight. I plan on putting my life with that sick bastard behind me. I hope you can do the same.

Nicole: It's still so hard to watch someone die, even if it's someone like him.

Debra: No, he got what was coming to him. He can't hurt you anymore. You won.

Kate: Jordan? Don't you think it's a terrible thing to have a relationship based on lies?

Rafe: Hey. Would you stop? Don't make her weigh in on Nick and Gabi. It's my problem, all right?

[Cell phone rings]

Rafe: Ah. Good old squad room. Excuse me. Hernandez. Okay. Yeah, I'll be right there. Well, looks like my break's over.

Kate: [Chuckles]

Rafe: I'll see you later.

Jordan: Okay.

Rafe: Okay. Thanks again.

Kate: Oh, no problem. Bye.

Jordan: Right.

Kate: What, are you going? I thought we could have a nice little talk.

Jordan: Go to hell.

Kate: Really? I can't believe you. I say one little thing, and you almost blow your whole con wide open. You know, if you want to play in my league, you're going to have to sharpen up your game.

JJ: Move.

Rory: Dude, what's with you?

JJ: You read the paper, right?

Rory: Yeah, but everything worked out fine. And, look, I mean, the wack job's dead.

JJ: All right, dude, I just don't want to think about it. All right? I don't want to think about anything that happened last night.

Rory: Ohhh. Oh, I get it.

JJ: What do you get, dude?

Rory: [Chuckles] This isn't about your mom. You're in this mood because of Paige.

Paige: I heard about what happened to JJ's mom on smith island. I mean, it's all over the news. And, well, I just wanted to know-- right, so I thought maybe you talked to him and-- okay, forget it.

Bev: Okay, wait.

Abigail: I really don't care what you think about me, Nick, but this would destroy my mom. And she's already been through enough.

Nick: Are you afraid she's gonna be disappointed in you? And she's gonna share that disappointment with Maggie and hope and Julie--

Abigail: Stop, Nick, just stop it!

Nick: Oh, don't worry. You'll come out of this just fine. Knowing them, they'll probably find a way to blame this on EJ. Or maybe even me. You'll come out of this smelling like a rose. Wait. Isn't that your mom's middle name?

Abigail: Why, Nick? Why are you doing this?

Nick: I didn't do this. You did. And this time it's gonna come out. And once Sami gets through with EJ, he--oh, man, he is gonna be singin' the blues in a--in a very, very high voice. And then she's gonna come gunning for you.

Abigail: Why? Why don't you just leave it alone?

Julie: What's going on here?

Do you know that little park off the square?

EJ: Yes.

Meet me there in 20 minutes. I'll be reading the sports page.

EJ: I'll be there.

Just so I don't waste my time, do you understand the terms?

EJ: I do. Meeting him in 20 minutes.

Sami: That's fast.

EJ: Just so that you understand, once I give this man this money, there is no stopping him.

Sami: Nick is determined to destroy will's life, our lives, everything that is important to us. I don't see another way of stopping him.

EJ: Oh, he'll be stopped. Don't you worry about that.

Sami: [Sighs]

Bev: I got those from JJ last night.

Paige: "Just got back. Mom and Daniel are okay. Crazy dude is dead. I have to stay here. Can't make it back out tonight. Sorry."

Bev: He asked me out. That's, you know, why he's sorry.

Paige: Thanks for the update.

Bev: Seeing how tight JJ and I are, I-I really hope that doesn't upset you.

Paige: I was worried about him. That's all.

Bev: Okay, well, now you don't have to be. You know, I don't know what happened with you two or why JJ ended it--maybe you're not his type, or maybe you blew it. All I know is he's so over you.

Paige: Nice talking to you too.

JJ: What are you bringing up Paige for, man?

Rory: Whoa, hey, hey.

JJ: I'm with Bev now.

Rory: Okay. But you like to hang out with Bev. Paige was different.

JJ: All right, it doesn't matter what she was, all right? She's leaving for college in a couple of months, man. To California. I don't want to waste my time with people who aren't going to be around, okay?

Rory: Okay. Calm down.

JJ: You want me to calm down? Stop talking about Paige. Damn it, I'm gonna be late.

Rory: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa, whoa.

Nick: Oh, we're--we're doing just fine.

Julie: I heard Abby's voice. She sounded very upset.

Nick: Well... she was just telling me that she's been having some problems with a co-worker who's been giving her a hard time.

Julie: Was it that Theresa Donovan? I know she's a piece of work. Maggie told me--

Abigail: No, no, it's not. No, uh, this is something that I need to handle myself.

Nick: Yeah. Sometimes that's the best thing to do, you know, just--just nip it in the bud.

Abigail: I'll try to remember that. I have to go. It was nice to see you.

Julie: Wait, wait. How's your mother this morning?

Abigail: She's glad to be alive. We are all really grateful for that. It was nice to see you.

Nick: Well, I probably gotta get going too, so--

Julie: No, not so fast, sweetheart.

Nick: Excuse me?

Julie: I'm gonna buy you a cup of coffee.

Nick: Oh.

Julie: And then you're gonna tell me what's really going on with you and your cousin. Shall we, dear?

Nick: [Laughs] Oh, really? Okay.

Julie: Uh, excuse me. [Chuckles]

No problem.

Nicole: W-what's going on? Why are you calling?

Eric: Well, I was just wondering if you had time to get together.

Nicole: I always have time for you. Just name the place.

Eric: You remember that park where we had a picnic?

Nicole: You mean when life was sort of normal?

Eric: Yeah, right.

Nicole: I can be there in a few minutes. What's going on?

Eric: I just need to see you.

Nicole: Okay. I'm on my way.

Jordan: Why didn't you tell him what you know about me, then?

Kate: Oh, well, I mean, I do like playing with you, but I know you're not stupid. It takes a brain to come up with a stash of interchangeable ids like that, especially in this day and age, so I'm not gonna tell Rafe about it until I have the full story, 'cause otherwise you would just come up with a cover, and he would probably believe it. So I'm waiting until I have the full story, and that should be happening very soon.

Jordan: Well, you can call off your dogs.

Kate: Why?

Jordan: Because I'm leaving Salem. You win.

Allie: Mom?

Sami: Oh, hey, honey.

Allie: I need help with my science homework.

Sami: Oh, okay, well, come on. Let's sit, and I'll help you. Let me see. What--what page were we working on? Let's see. Is it--oh, here, right?

Allie: Mm-hmm. I don't know what this means.

Sami: "The ozone layer is very important because it stops too many of the sun's ultraviolet rays from getting through to the earth. These are the rays that cause our skin to tan. Too much UV can cause skin cancer." Well, that's why mommy uses that spray-on sunscreen.

Allie: You're not supposed to spray on.

Sami: Uh, oh. "Cfcs are used in some spray cans to force the contents out of the can."

Allie: I can read the words myself, mom. I want you to explain it.

Sami: What am I, a scientist? Who could explain this stuff? [Laughs] This is complicated.

Allie: Nick did.

Sami: What did you say?

Rafe: Hey, EJ.

EJ: Hey.

Rafe: Hey. Bolder. Bigger.

JJ: I'm so screwed.

Bev: Oh, hey, JJ.

JJ: What are you doing here?

Bev: I'm--I'm checking on you. What do you think?

JJ: Uh, I don't have time to talk, all right? Russ is gonna kill me for being late.

Bev: God, who cares what a doofus like Russ thinks?

JJ: I do, okay? I want to get this probation thing over with.

Bev: Look, come on, JJ. It'll be--it'll be cool.

JJ: No, it won't be cool. All right, y-you don't even know what you're talking about.

Jordan: You think you've got me all figured out, but you don't.

Kate: No, I don't. Not yet, but I will. Because I'm very, very persistent. But I do understand you having an itch to fly the coop. But I really hope you don't, because I want to see the look on your face when I am finally able to tell Rafe what a complete and total fraud you really are.

Sami: W-when did you see Nick?

Allie: I was at daddy's, and he had to go out of town. So I stayed at aunt Julie's for a night.

Sami: And Nick helped you with your homework.

Allie: He's really nice and smart. He explained a lot of science things to me.

Sami: Great.

Allie: He said you're smart too.

Sami: Oh, yeah?

Allie: He said when I grow up, I'm gonna be just as smart and as beautiful as you.

Sami: Oh. So do you like hanging out with cousin Nick?

Allie: Yeah, no wonder he's Ciara's favorite cousin.

Sami: She said that?

Allie: Is it okay if he's my favorite cousin too?

Sami: Yes, sweetie, of course it is. You know what? Mommy just remembered something I ha--I have to go do. I'm so sorry, honey.

Allie: But my homework.

Sami: Oh, uh, uh, Harold could help you with science, or Stefano knows all about killing the ozone.

Julie: I'm waiting.

Nick: [Sighs] [Chuckles] Okay, um... Abigail and I-- you're right, we had an argument.

Julie: You did not pick a very auspicious day to have an argument with her. Jennifer was nearly killed last night.

Nick: Yeah, well, I always screw things up, so--

Julie: Now, that's not true. Everybody in this family knows how hard you have been working to make a better life for yourself.

Nick: Well, only way I can go is up, given what I was. [Clicks tongue]

Julie: Darling, that's the past. We've all let that go. So maybe you should too. Focus on your future.

EJ: [Clears throat] Detective, uh, Hernandez. What are you doing here?

Rafe: Well, I was on my way back to the squad room, which turns out was a false alarm, but then I saw you, and there's something I want to say to you.

EJ: Love to, but I'm in a bit of a hurry, so--

Rafe: It won't take long. Nope. Kate told me that you're representing will now that he and Gabi are trying to work out this custody agreement.

EJ: That's right.

Rafe: I'm glad.

EJ: I'm sorry, what?

Rafe: Yeah. I know exactly what Gabi's lawyer is asking for.

EJ: Yeah.

Rafe: Yeah.

EJ: She gets full custody. William gets to see the kid every other weekend.

Rafe: Yeah, it's insane. And it's not what Gabi wants for will. It's just she is listening to everything that Nick is telling her. And if will's gotta deal with a-a creep like Nick, then I'm glad he's got a shark like you looking out for his rights.

EJ: Well, I'm sure we can reach a fair and amicable agreement. I think Gabriella's very smart, and I think she's well aware of how much love and support Sonny and William provide to Arianna.

Rafe: Yeah, I used to think the same thing. Until Nick got in the picture. Anyway, 'preciate what you're doing.

Jordan: Hey. I was looking for you.

Rafe: Well, here I am. Hey. Something wrong? [Laughs] Okay. I guess not. Wanna go back to my place? All right.

Nicole: That hard copy's got to be somewhere. It's not in the safety deposit box, and Debra wouldn't lie to me. So Liam must have hidden it in some other place. Or maybe he taped the paper to his body, which means the police have it. Okay, don't panic. Don't panic, don't panic, don't panic. Okay, you know what? You can get to hope. You can convince her that Liam didn't get the stuff from you. Oh, my God. Liam said if I didn't do what he said--what if he sent the stuff to Eric? What if that's why Eric wants to meet me here? Oh, my God. Ugh. Hi.

Eric: Just the person I was looking for.

Julie: You know, I was not always the practically perfect person you see before you. I had a past of my own to live down.

Nick: Really? What'd you do--steal five bucks from the collection plate?

Julie: You only see Julie Williams. Julie Olson was another person entirely. And sometimes I just have to pinch myself to see that she turned out to have a-a wonderful husband and a really happy life.

Nick: What-- what was--what was her problem?

Julie: I was born tom and Alice Horton's first grandchild. And somehow I got the idea that people did not think I was living up to the Horton name.

Nick: Yeah. [Chuckles] I get that.

Julie: My regret is that it took me so long to realize how much the family loved me, no matter what I did. They weren't judging me. I was judging them. And when I realized how lucky I was... how loved... I gave my family a chance. Maybe you should do that too, darling. It's never too late.

EJ: Nicholas Fallon.

Sami: EJ--oh, is that him?

EJ: Samantha--no, no.

Sami: That's the guy? We gotta--

EJ: What are you doing here?

Sami: We have to stop him.

EJ: Samantha, do you not remember what I said to you?

Sami: But we--if he--

EJ: Shh, Samantha, Nicholas Fallon is a dead man.

Rafe: Whoa. [Laughing] Who are you?

Jordan: Just some girl.

Rafe: I mean, not that I'm complaining--it's just, I don't know what's gotten into you.

Jordan: Just let me know that you love me.

Rafe: Yeah, of course I do. Don't you know that?

Jordan: I don't want to talk.

Rafe: Okay.

Bev: I, um, I know that you went through hell last night and probably need your space, so I'll just take off.

JJ: Hey, uh, I'll be better next time you see me. Okay?

Bev: Okay.

Paige: JJ.

JJ: Hey. Who's--who's your friend?

Paige: Oh, he's part of the park beautification project. See? Instant beauty.

JJ: Yeah.

Paige: Uh, I covered for you with Russ. He's not gonna dock your hours.

JJ: Thank you.

Paige: Yeah.

JJ: Uh, I better get this to the dumpster.

Paige: Uh, I'm really glad your mom and Dr. Jonas are okay. I was gonna call you this morning when I heard about it, but--

JJ: But why bother, right?

Paige: Damn it, JJ, what is wrong with you?

Eric: I thought we were gonna meet at the stone benches.

Nicole: Why?

Eric: Because that's where we had our picnic.

Nicole: Right. Sorry.

Eric: No, no, no, don't apologize. I mean, after what you went through yesterday, I don't expect you to remember the details of your-- [Laughs] Your life.

Nicole: You're not a detail.

Eric: Listen. I wanted to hold you all night long. I didn't sleep, I can tell you that. I just couldn't stop thinking.

Nicole: Is that why you wanted to see me?

Eric: Well, I wanted to tell you about that and about an email I got this morning.

Nicole: You got an email? Who was it from?

Eric: Well, all I can say now is that it really helped me put my future with you in perspective.

Nicole: Huh, must have been some email.

Eric: You know what, why don't you come with me? And I'll show you what I'm talking about.

Nicole: Uh, what's this?

Eric: That's what I got this morning. So I printed it out because I wanted you to see it.

Nick: I'm trying to change. I've got a chance with Gabi again, and--and I've got a great job with Kate. And I've got incredible family like you. You know, a few years ago, I didn't--I didn't think that I'd ever be happy again.

Julie: So you've turned your life around.

Nick: Yeah. But I don't--I don't think I could--I could have done it if-- if you hadn't believed in me.

Julie: You've had a tough road, baby. I knew you needed a break. And now...[Clicks tongue] It looks like you're gonna get exactly what you deserve.

Sami: Look, we can--we can still stop that guy, okay?

EJ: You're not going anywhere.

Sami: I have to. How am I supposed to explain this to Allie?

EJ: Explain what to Allie?

Sami: Nick has been helping her with her homework.

EJ: Oh, please, Samantha.

Sami: I know, but it's upsetting, you know? Allie's been emailing him and texting with Nick.

EJ: Bloody hell.

Sami: I think we could get that guy to stop, you know? We could think of something else.

EJ: Samantha, do you not understand why Nick is charming Allie? He's doing it so that he can turn her against you. That's what he's doing. And when he's finished with that, he's going to destroy her life in exactly the same way he's destroying yours.

Sami: I know that. I still think we can find another way to deal with Nick. Don't you think there's other options?

EJ: Okay, shh.

Sami: [Sighs]

EJ: Stop being conflicted about this. Please. When I gave that man the money, I did not have one second's remorse, because I knew that I was ridding this town of a monster who destroys people's lives. And you should know... I would have done this with or without your consent.

Sami: I pushed you to do it. We both know that.

EJ: That's not true.

[Cell phone rings]

Sami: Who is it from? Is it from the guy? Can we--

EJ: No, it's a work thing. Something I was supposed to take care of that--

Sami: You are thinking about work right now? We just ordered someone's execution.

EJ: Samantha. We're going to get through this. I promise you. We will do it together. Okay? Come on.

You did it!

Paige: I thought we were friends. I thought we got each other. And then you found out, like, five seconds after I did that I'd gotten into Stanford, and it was all over. JJ, everyone in our class is applying to colleges. I didn't do anything wrong.

JJ: Yeah, but you're still leaving. You're taking off for Stanford and leaving me behind. You're--you're gonna have some new guy, like, five minutes after you get there, so what is the use? Why should I even bother talking to you? Why should I bother with any of it?

Nick: Sami. Sami, wait. Please.

EJ: Why are we meeting here, for God's sakes?

Abigail: My mom took the day off.

EJ: Okay. What is it?

Abigail: Nick.

EJ: He knows, yes. I know that already.

Abigail: Then you already know that he's going to ruin everything for both of us.

EJ: No, he's not.

Abigail: Yes, he is, EJ.

EJ: No, he is not.

Abigail: Yes, he is. I talked to him today, and he is just loving this. It's gonna come out in the worst possible way, and I cannot let that happen.

EJ: Okay, Abigail, what exactly is it that you're trying to say?

Abigail: I just wanted to let you know that I made up my mind, and I'm going to tell my mother that we slept together.

Nicole: Uh, I don't understand. You want me to see a printout of an email you got this morning, and--

Eric: It made me realize how much I love you.

Nicole: What?

Eric: My retoucher, well, he emailed me the pictures that I took of you last week.

Nicole: And this is what you got this morning?

Eric: I wanted to spend last night with you. When I got these pictures and saw how beautiful you looked and happy, it made me realize that I need to stop dithering around and get my life back.

Nicole: I'm sorry, I'm not-- I'm not following.

Eric: We both know when it comes to talking about...

Nicole: Your feelings...

Eric: I kind of...

Nicole: Suck at it. [Laughs] It's okay.

Eric: [Laughs] I'm a lot better with images.

Nicole: May I?

Eric: That's the whole idea. Keep going.

Nicole: [Laughs]

[Laughter]

Eric: All you have to do is say yes. And nothing can keep us apart ever again.
