Jordan: I am so glad that you called.

Rafe: Yeah, me too. Well, we should get going.

Jordan: Okay.

Abe: Hey, uh, this is the station, so we'll catch up to you, all right?

EJ: So, Dr. Evans is performing a wedding ceremony in Salem today. So she desperately needs that certification. I came to pick it up.

Carmel: Impressive. Pointless. I'm afraid that you have come a long way for nothing.

EJ: I don't understand what the problem is exactly. I mean, she...did everything that you require, by the book.

Carmel: Terms and conditions, yes, well, that's all of life, isn't it?

EJ: [Clears throat] What--what terms exactly?

Carmel: We don't know, do we? See, it's constant uncertainty. Everything that matters is... nameless. It's so formless that you...

EJ: Quite, except, you see, this actually does have a name and a form. It's a certificate. So... [Rubs hands together] Where is it?

Tad: And you're a wreck, one night away from him.

Tad: And there's that too. Sonny's probably freaking out as well.

Will: Please, the man scaled K2. I don't think he's gonna get phased from a wedding.

Will: Well, he's with Gabi right now. I'm sure they're just relaxing and laughing it up.

Sonny: Yeah, Nick is a huge problem, I know, but I can't deal with it today. But once the wedding's over, believe me, I will.

Gabi: What the hell are you planning? Planning on dealing with Nick? Well, you're gonna have to deal with me first.

Eric: I was there earlier today.

Allie: You wanna see the cake?

Caroline: Sure, okay. [Chuckles] Okay.

Sami: All right, you go with her, okay, kids? No eating that cake! Is it me or did grandma seem a little rattled?

Roman: She's a little nervous about her speech.

Sami: Well, she doesn't have to do it...

Sami: If it's gonna stress her out.

Eric: Hey, she wants to, all right? She'll be fine.

Roman: And I guarantee that she is thrilled that the boys asked her to do it.

Sami: Okay.

Gabi: What, we can't leave Nick alone for one day?

Sonny: Can you hold on for one second? You have this all wrong. This is not about Nick Fallon.

Gabi: I heard you!

Sonny: I'm talking to my club. This is Ben, the new bartender. He's having trouble with the liquor supplier named Nick. I told him I would handle it later.

Gabi: Really?

Sonny: Yeah, do you wanna talk to Ben?

Gabi: No.

Sonny: Hey, Ben, I'm really sorry. Can you tell Nick that I'll call him later? Thank you. Gabi. The last thing I'm thinking about is Nick Fallon, okay? All I'm thinking about right now is will and the people here that I care about. And that includes you.

Gabi: I believe you. Oh, this is so embarrassing. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. [Sighs]

Tad: All right, let's get you hitched. Uh-oh. What?

Hope: You should have seen her makeup before I toned it down. Bo would've had me wash it all off her face.

Hope: There's a lot of that going around today.

Ciara: Grandpa, the room looks gorgeous.

Hope: It does, it looks absolutely beautiful, Victor.

Victor: Will you please tell Maggie? Kate's been circling around like a reef shark, grumbling at bows, moving orchids.

Kate: So, reverend, what's your denomination?

Marlena: It's the church of life and energy.

EJ: Okay, well, I tell you what: If Dr. Evans' certificate doesn't exist, why don't we just, um, create one, okay? Is there a printer somewhere we can fire up?

Carmel: You know, I wasn't sure if I should withhold at this time. But this hostility... my guidance was correct.

EJ: So you're choosing to withhold?

Carmel: Per the terms and agreements Dr. Evans agreed to when she clicked the button on the website.

EJ: What terms exactly?

Carmel: We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

EJ: See, I don't quite understand what the problem is. You don't know Dr. Evans, so who are you to judge?

Carmel: I know her daughter. Sami. That is enough. I will not do business with any of them.

EJ: [Sighs] You know Samantha?

Carmel: Too well. I cannot be anywhere near Sami Brady or her vibration.

EJ: It's a piece of paper.

Carmel: Do you have any idea how much energy...paper holds?

EJ: Okay, um, so why don't we go back to Samantha and the, um... the vibrations. You tell me about that.

Marlena: No, no, no, no. We are not gonna have a giggle about my certificate.

Kate: Okay, why are you being so touchy about this?

Sami: Kate, really? Today?

Kate: Okay. Fine, I'll go look for my son.

Sami: He's in the kitchen with Allie.

Kate: Okay.

Marlena: Okay, she knows. Where the hell is EJ?

Sami: I haven't heard from him since he landed in Chicago.

Marlena: I've gotta warn the boys.

Sami: What? No! Look, mom--mom--stop, stop. We're not there yet, okay? We're not. EJ understands how important this is to you and the boys. He will get it done.

Marlena: Call the JP. Make sure somebody's on standby.

Sami: Okay, I will do that. But let's not worry will and Sonny just yet, okay? I mean, mom, this moment, if you can do it, it'll mean so much to you and will and Sonny. It'll be something you treasure forever. Let's not ruin it with drama unless it's absolutely necessary. What?

Marlena: I don't believe you said that. Because you were completely right. Come here.

Hope: I have to say, you've really outdone yourself.

Maggie: Oh, honey.

Hope: Everything looks absolutely stunning.

Ciara: This room is beyond.

Hope: It is, isn't it?

Victor: Which I'm told is a good thing.

Maggie: [Laughs] You're both very sweet. And you too. I'm glad someone appreciates it.

Ciara: I told you it was fancy enough to wear my good earrings.

Maggie: [Gasps] Good earrings?

Hope: Mm, don't ask. Come on, sweetie, let's go. Let's go say hello to everyone.

Victor: Have we heard from Brady?

Maggie: Not yet.

Theresa: [Sighs] So you obviously don't get my sense of humor.

Brady: [Laughs] I guess not.

Theresa: No, we'll totally show up separately. We don't need to give your family any more ammo.

Brady: They're already packing a lot of heat.

Theresa: Yeah, and I'm so many people's number one target. I don't need any more grief.

Brady: Hey.

Theresa: Hmm?

Brady: I-I--truly I didn't mean...

Theresa: Mm. I know what you meant. What you meant last night, Brady.

Brady: Uh-huh.

Theresa: And that's all I need, okay?

Brady: All right.

Brady: Probably 10 or 20.

Theresa: Mm-hmm, but you know what? It's kinda fun. Having our own little secret that none of them know. Hmm?

Tad: Okay, I'm gonna go check on the setup and then get you to the staging area. Don't you move without telling me.

Will: He's taking this best man thing way too seriously.

Justin: As well he should.

Will: How's Sonny?

Justin: Adrienne says he's a little nervous. And he can't tie a bow tie.

Will: Gabi did mine. [Chuckles]

Justin: I'll straighten it up there. Are you ready?

Will: Yeah, I, um... oh, you mean "am I ready"? There's nobody on this earth that I love more than your son. Except my daughter.

Justin: Right answer.

Will: I promise I will do everything in my power to make him happy. Thank you.

Justin: For what?

Will: For raising such an incredible man.

Gabi: You're being such a good sport about what I just did.

Sonny: It was impressive. I want you on my side in a pub brawl.

Gabi: Oh, I'd be there.

Sonny: Yeah?

Gabi: Yeah, I give everything I got for my friends.

Sonny: I've seen that.

Gabi: Sonny, you're my friend too. You're more than that, and I was--I was just telling will-- so I'm glad I get the chance to tell you--that I love the family we make. I mean, as weird as it is sometimes, it works.

Sonny: It does. So, uh, it's about that time. It's getting close.

Gabi: Come here, come here. Looky, looky. [Laughs] For what it's worth, will is just as nervous.

Sonny: I'm not--I'm not that nervous.

Gabi: No?

Sonny: Where's Ari?

Gabi: Oh. When I came upstairs, the grandparents lunged for her.

Sonny: Yeah?

Gabi: Yeah.

Sonny: Who won?

Gabi: Your mom and dad. [Laughs]

Carmel: I spent many years purifying my aura after that night.

EJ: You spent a night with Samantha?

Carmel: It was... long ago. And still, look. It still makes the hairs on my arms stand up.

EJ: [Sighs] [Clears throat] What happened?

Carmel: [Sighs] It was a blind date. My friends set us up. I expected a good evening. But what I got...

[New age atmospheric shimmer]

EJ: What did you get? Tell me. Come on, brother. [Pats Carmel's back] Let it out.

Nicole: Hey, you.

Daniel: Hey.

Nicole: We gotta stop meeting like this.

Daniel: I know.

Nicole: How's your surgery?

Daniel: It was a success. Even shorter than I expected.

[Typing speedily]

Nicole: Ooh, hey, look. This is a text from Eric. He just sent a picture of him and Jenn. Cute.

Daniel: Oh, yeah.

Nicole: Wedding's gonna start any minute.

Daniel: Yeah, so how are things going with Eric?

Nicole: [Sighs] It's so good. I would say "perfect," but I don't want to tempt fate. [Chuckles]

Eric: I told Nicole I wanted to marry her. Now I don't know if I can go through with it.

Jennifer: I must have left my keys inside. Well, lucky for me...

[Keys clatter in box]

[Key clicks in lock]

Carmel: All I wanted was a good night. And she was so beautiful. A stunner. And then she opened her mouth. And it didn't stop all night. This...performance art. A horror show of oblivious self-involvement. That night changed me. Forever. Do you know Sami?

EJ: [Clears throat] We've met.

Carmel: And what do you think?

EJ: I think you dodged a bullet there, my friend.

EJ: You know, [Clears throat] Carmel... I'm not much of an expert when it comes to the laws of karma. But it seems to me... that this horrific experience with Samantha Brady... in a way, it led you to your destiny here at this... sacred temple. So, you know... in a way... you owe Samantha Brady a debt of gratitude.

Roman: Eric said he wants to take all three of Sami's kids to opening day.

[Cell phone rings]

Roman: I told him, I'm in. You're welcome to come if you want. The station.

[Overlapping chatter]

Sami: [Mouthing words]

Marlena: [Mouthing words]

Rafe: There's something you should know before we go in there.

Kate: Have you seen Rafe?

Sami: No, no, but he still has time.

Kate: Not like him to take a long time to get ready, though.

Sami: I guess that depends on the occasion.

Kate: Or who he's waiting on. Do you think he's bringing his plus one?

Sami: [Laughs] Well, I don't know. I mean, after what we saw in the town square, we'll have to wait and see.

Kate: [Scoffs] Okay.

Rafe: Before I called, I went to see your brother.

Jordan: Rafe, I asked you not to say anything.

Rafe: Don't worry. I was light and quick with him.

Jordan: Well, what does that look like?

Rafe: Well, I let him know how important you are to me, and I told him that I wouldn't let you be hurt by him. Or anyone else, for that matter.

Jordan: Ben would never hurt me.

Rafe: Well, he better not. Oh. You like that. I have a whole caveman routine, by the way.

Jordan: Oh, well, I would like to see that later. I'm glad we're here today.

Rafe: Me too.

Jordan: [Giggles]

Sami: Look, I think we have our answer.

Kate: Well, hello.

Rafe: Kate.

Kate: Welcome. I'm so glad you're here. You look lovely.

Jordan: Thank you. It's an honor to be here. Will and Sonny are great guys.

Kate: They're very, very special, and this is a special day, so come in, enjoy. While you can.

Tad: The house is a mob scene. The guests are running around drinking, they could get a little rowdy if you arrive now.

Will: All right, well, there's got to be a back way in.

Tad: Huh. There is a back door that leads to the mud room by the kitchen, okay? There's a back stairway that goes to the second floor. How do you like me now?

Will: I'm--I'm impressed.

Tad: Thank you, let's go.

Will: Okay.

Tad: Oh! Hey!

Brady: Hey.

Will: What's up?

Brady: Gentlemen.

Tad: Dude, walk of shame?

Brady: "Walk of shame," that's funny. No, I, uh, went out earlier. I had an errand to do, but I'll be dressed in ten minutes. You look good. Don't start without me, all right?

Sonny: You know, if you wanna go downstairs and pry Ari away from that mob, I will be just fine.

Gabi: No, she's fine.

Sonny: You know, you've been great with all that help. 'Cause I know it comes with a lot of advice and strings sometimes.

Gabi: Right, well, I learned to carve out what I need. I mean, it was hard at first, but she's got so many people that love her, you know? I just--I see the way people light up the minute they see her, and I think, "thank God." What?

Sonny: You. You've just grown so much since Ari was born. Your instincts are very smart and generous. And I think you're a wonderful mother.

Gabi: I'm gonna remember that the next time we fight.

Sonny: Please do.

Gabi: I'm glad it doesn't happen that often anymore.

Sonny: You know, I-I don't know if it's because of the day or whatever. I just--I'm gonna tell you something, but you promise me you're not gonna laugh?

Gabi: I can't make any promises. Maybe. [Laughs]

Sonny: I feel like you're the sister I've always wanted.

[Door opens]

Victor: Something you'd like to share?

Sonny: Oh, hey, uncle vic. Yeah, it's gonna be that way.

Gabi: [Sighs]

Sonny: Yeah. Sorry, will.

Gabi: I changed his mind.

Sonny: How's it going down there?

Victor: Well, they're all here, opened the champagne. They're milling around.

Sonny: Ah, so you just wanted to duck up here for a minute?

Victor: Well, I don't mingle. The only person I really wanted to talk to here was you. So just in case I can't get a word in sideways before the shooting starts-- that's usually metaphorical.

Gabi: [Laughs]

Victor: You're a true Kiriakis. Jackson, you make me proud.

Daniel: All right! My shift is over, I am a free man.

Nicole: Wow, do you think we could make the wedding?

Daniel: Wedding crashers: I like it, but I think the wedding already started, so we'd just be causing a scene.

Nicole: My specialty.

Daniel: Well...

Nicole: But not today.

Daniel: Okay.

Nicole: Mm-hmm. So what are you doin' later?

Daniel: Oh, I'm getting an early jump on my errands. Jenn's got some old toys of JJ's that he's gonna give to Parker. So I just gotta go to her house, pick those up, yeah.

Nicole: Okay, do you wanna get some lunch after?

Daniel: Oh, my God, that sounds so good. Let's do it. Let's do it, all right? We'll just make it a quick pickup, and we'll go?

Nicole: Yeah.

Daniel: All right?

Nicole: Perfect.

[Tense, eerie music]

Theresa: [Sighing] Okay. Oh, a present. Uh... okay. I'll get a gift bag on the way out, okay.

Sonny: You know, uncle Vic, will and I never got a chance to thank you for opening your house for the wedding.

Victor: Oh, are you kidding? Maggie and I would have fought for the chance. Besides, the old place is built for it.

Sonny: That's true, you have had a lot of weddings here.

Victor: [Chuckling] Unfortunately, most of them were mine. I had the caterers on retainer there for a while.

Sonny: Well, you got it right in the end.

Victor: Yeah, you have no idea how lucky that was. I'm sure you and will will have it much better.

Sonny: You think?

Victor: Why do you seem surprised?

Sonny: I don't know, just you don't really say much about will. And I know you don't have any use for Sami or the DiMeras.

Victor: Will is a fine young man. And lucky thing for you is that you love him. And finally that you get a chance to marry him. And then screw things up just like the rest of us. [Chuckles]

Sonny: You're such a romantic.

Victor: Yeah, or you can get it right the first time and live happily ever after. I'd go for the latter.

Maggie: Thank you. I just wanna give you all a heads up that we're gonna be starting soon.

[Overlapping chatter]

Marlena: Okay, okay. Is there any word from EJ?

Sami: No, no, okay? No. But there's still time.

Marlena: Honey, I don't wanna blindside these boys right before the ceremony.

Sami: We won't. We won't have to. EJ's gonna fix this.

Marlena: I appreciate all that you and EJ are doing to try to pull this thing out of the fire, but I can't even believe it went so far off the tracks.

Sami: Mom.

Marlena: But Sonny and will have to know what's happening.

Sami: They don't, they don't need to know anything, mom.

Marlena: They do need to know what's going on.

Sami: No, mom, stop it.

Will: Need to know what?

Sami: Will, what you need to know is that everybody in there is so excited to be here to be a part of your big day. I mean, it's--it's incredible actually. I've never seen a wedding where everyone was--well, anyway, the point is--what are you doing out here? It's not time yet.

Will: But soon, right? I mean, we're good to go, right?

Sami: Yeah, of course.

Will: You're ready?

Marlena: Of course I'm ready, honey. Of course I'm ready.

Will: Sonny and I are so glad that it's gonna be you at the end of the aisle.

Marlena: Thank you. Will, there's one thing you should know before we get--

Sami: And I will tell him that important thing. Why don't we go outside in the garden? You know, that way people won't see you, come on. [Softly] Stop it.

Marlena: [Whispering] Will you tell him it's okay?

Adrienne: [Sighs] Oh, honey, those are perfect. Oh. Your father wore them on our wedding day.

Sonny: I know. Maybe one day I'll pass them down to my son.

Adrienne: I hope so.

Sonny: So how's my tie doing?

Adrienne: Oh, no, fine. It's perfect. Boy, I always love a reason to fuss over you.

Sonny: You never need a reason, mom.

Adrienne: [Sniffles]

Jennifer: [Laughs]

Eric: I don't mean to talk shop.

Jennifer: No, not at all. You just put a lot of love into your job.

JJ: That's exactly how I feel about calculus.

Maggie: Oh. Theresa. Your family's waiting inside.

Theresa: Thanks, Maggie.

Sami: Except on your wedding day, when everyone is staring at your back, trust me. I know these things.

Will: Yes, you do. What, did I cut myself shaving?

Sami: No. Just really proud of you. Thank you. Is grandma Marlena okay?

Will: She seems a little off.

Sami: She's just nervous. Like you are. Tell me about what you decided for the intro.

Will: Okay, um, we go down first, okay? And then...

Sami: Sonny comes second. How come Sonny gets to go second?

Will: We flipped a coin: Sonny lost.

Sami: [Laughs] Mom!

Marlena: Hi, darling, will.

Will: Hi, is it time?

Marlena: No, no, not quite yet. There was something that I wanted to talk to you about before--

Sami: Mom, I don't think we should go there--

Marlena: In actual fact, I think it would be good--

EJ: Oh, Marlena! Hello. [Chuckles] Lovely to see you. Mwah!

Will: I was--

Marlena: Don't tell William what you were going to say. Um, he can find out later, just like everybody else.

Will: I was wondering where you were.

EJ: Oh, running a few errands, nothing too exciting. Um, isn't it about time we got this show on the road?

Marlena: Um, uh, yes, yes. I will see you at the end of the aisle. And I will see you. (Puffs) I will see you.

EJ: [Sighs]

Will: Well, how come she loves you so much today?

Sami: Go, go. [Sighs]

Will: [Sighs] This is it.

[Tense, eerie music]

[Keys jingling]

Daniel: Well, they should be in a bag at the top of the stairs, okay?

[Keys clack]

Daniel: I'll be right back. [Clears throat]

[Door closes]

Nicole: Sure, I'll just, uh, hang out here.

[Cell phone rings]

Adrienne: Oh, oh, honey. That's your dad. It's time. I love you. So much.

Sonny: I love you too.

Adrienne: [Sighs]

Tad: Okay. Everybody's in a chair.

Will: Last-minute check.

Sami: Okay. You're perfect. You always were.

Will: Mom, come on.

Will: You know, if you make me cry now, I don't know--

Sami: I might not get a chance to do it later. William Horton... you are the perfect son.

Will: I always used to give you hell.

Will: [Sniffles]

Will: [Whispering] Very.
