Sami: I can't believe how long my to-do list is.

Rafe: Don't worry about it. It's gonna be a beautiful wedding. And then by tonight, it'll be over.

Sami: That's romantic.

Rafe: Well, it is. Then you and I can get to the good part.

Sami: 15-hour sleep?

Rafe: Eventually.

Sami: Will you pick me up an hour before the ceremony?

Rafe: I'll be there.

[Knocking on door]

Sami: I, um--I have to go.

Rafe: See you then.

Sami: Okay. Okay.

EJ: Please don't close the door. I just wanted to clear the air.

Nick: Oh, hey. Uh, Gabi went to Abigail's house to get ready.

Rafe: I know, it's okay. I'm here to see you. Have a seat.

Will: [Laughing]

Sonny: Good morning.

Will: Good morning.

Sonny: Oh. I let you sleep in because you have a busy day today.

Will: Thanks. What's this?

Sonny: Best man gift. Why should Gabi and Nick have all the fun? Open it.

Will: Okay. I could get used to this. Is this—

Gabi: I'm almost dressed. I'll be right out.

Abigail: Hey!

Chad: Hi.

Abigail: Hi. Come in.

Chad: Is this--is this too early?

Abigail: For?

Chad: Showing up with a lame excuse to take you to breakfast?

Abigail: Not normally, but--

Gabi: You know, if I gain another ounce, I swear I won't fit into my dress.

Kate: Oh, this is--this is just perfect. Gee, why don't you get a scone, and you can go over your paper at leisure?

Victor: Kate, aren't you supposed to be on an airplane far, far away?

Kate: I got an overnight flight after I talked to Philip. Why are you so calm?

Victor: Well, I like to pace myself, save my yelling for the afternoon.

Kate: Okay, so you're making jokes? We're going to lose our grandson, Victor.

Victor: Parker is not lost. Chloe brought him straight here.

Kate: [Scoffs] That woman should be locked away in a dungeon.

Chloe: "The grand old Duke of York, he had 10,000 men. He marched them up to the top of the hill, and then he marched them down again." Hey.

Daniel: Good morning.

Chloe: Good morning. How'd you sleep?

Daniel: Uh, I didn't. I kept listening for him. Like the first days we had him at home. Yeah, I'm not used to having a toddler in the house.

Chloe: Yeah, well, um, you'll get used to it. The good news is he sleeps through the entire night. But I do have a monitor just in case. Hey, um, do you wanna finish reading him the story?

Daniel: Uh, I mean, if he'll let me.

Chloe: Yeah, of course he will. You'll let him, right? Okay, right here. I will let you boys finish this book, and then I'll be back 'cause I have some news.

Daniel: Okay. Hey. Where should we start here?

Nick: Uh, okay, um... I guess...I've been expecting this.

Rafe: What?

Nick: You know, the-- the talk.

Rafe: The talk?

Nick: Yeah. It's--it's totally cool. Um, I get it. I think I'd be the same way if I were you. But before you get into it, um, I just wanna say two things.

Rafe: All right.

Nick: Okay. So I believe that--that love is an action, and I have some numbers on that.

Sami: Did you really think I was gonna slam the door on you?

EJ: I don't know. I know you're upset about Kristen.

Sami: Yes. Yes, I am. I have a million reasons to be. Do you need me to remind you of them?

EJ: No, I don't need you to go through the list. I just need you to know that I had no idea what she was doing. I'd never blindside you like that.

Sami: Okay.

EJ: You sure it's okay?

Sami: Well, that part's okay. The part about Kristen and what she's doing, no, so--

EJ: So why don't we just not mention her name again, and then she won't be a problem or come between the two of us? Agreed?

Sami: Agreed. You were really sweating that out, huh?

EJ: Look, I just don't like to see you upset. Especially when you might think that I had something to do with it. I want to be straight with you because I think that's the only way that we're going to move forward.

Sami: EJ and I are sort of fighting about the whole Brady and Kristen thing anyway.

Rafe: Is there any chance you're using this whole Kristen thing as an excuse to keep EJ on the hook?

Sami: Well, um... I'm glad you said that because I think we should be... straight with each other.

Will: You want me here?

Sonny: Yes. I know it's not the luxe or, you know, standard, but I did clear out half the closet, you know, so there's space. But if there's not enough space, we could get one of those, like, wardrobe things. You know those wardrobe things?

Will: Sonny.

Sonny: Unless you think this is, like, a bad idea. If this is not what you want, we can just forget this ever happened. You don't have to worry. It's no big deal. We can just go back to the way things were.

Will: Can I--are you done?

Sonny: Yes.

Will: Did you honestly think for a second that I wouldn't wanna live with you?

Sonny: Maybe you thought it was too soon or, I don't know, that you want--

Will: This. I want this.

Gabi: What are you doing here?

Chad: I came here to see Abigail.

Gabi: Really?

Abigail: Yeah.

Chad: Hope you have a great day, Gabi. Congratulations.

Gabi: Right.

Abigail: Gabi, he means it. He told me the same thing last night, and I was supposed to tell you, but I forgot.

Gabi: Oh. Why?

Chad: I'm just tired of being mad all the time. It's exhausting, so I'm done. And I'm not saying we're gonna be great friends or anything, but, uh, we'll be okay. All right?

Gabi: Wait, are-- I'm sorry, are you two, uh—

Daniel: "And a very fine fiddle had he. Oh, there's none so fair as can compare with old King Cole and his fiddlers three." You, um-- you wanna play with the blocks?

Chloe: Oh, I'm sorry.

Daniel: No, no, don't be. I-I know it's gonna take some time, so--

Chloe: Yeah, well, you are gonna have it-- all the time in the world. And that is my news.

Daniel: What? What do you mean?

Chloe: Well, I just got a job teaching music here in town, so I can stay now. I mean, I was gonna, you know, try to come here as often as possible, but it would've been pretty difficult without a job. And now it's easy.

Daniel: That is--that is great. I mean, are you sure this is what you want? It's teaching, not performing.

Chloe: Hey, who cares? Daniel, it's the least I owe you. Now you'll be able to have all the time in the world with Parker. This is a fresh start.

Kate: Gee, am I embarrassing you?

Victor: You embarrassed yourself. One of us had to notice.

Kate: Okay. I just don't understand this sudden Buddha-like calm of yours because I know you loved Parker. I've seen it.

Victor: Yes, I do, but Parker's gonna be fine. Daniel's gonna be a good father.

Kate: That's not the point. Philip was a good father.

Victor: Yes, he was. And when he found out what the truth was, he--he stood up. We should be proud of him for that.

Kate: That he walked away from his son.

Victor: Parker is Daniel's son. Even though I have very little use for Chloe, she did the right thing as well--bringing Parker down here, so he could get to know Daniel.

Kate: Oh, so everyone's behaving themselves. And that makes you so happy, doesn't it?

Victor: No, not everyone.

Kate: Does that mean me?

Victor: I assume you were on a plane all night, drinking bad airplane coffee, chewing out the stewardesses and plotting.

Kate: [Scoffs] God. I just don't believe that you are not a little upset by this.

Victor: Of course I am. But the facts are the facts. Nothing you can do about it.

Kate: The hell there isn't.

Victor: Is this a threat? Tell the truth, is this really about Parker or about the fact that Chloe's back?

Kate: Chloe's back? Chloe's back in Salem?

Victor: Came down this morning, first thing I saw was Chloe and Parker in the living room.

Kate: You let that slut stay in your house?

Victor: Maggie and I wanted Daniel to be able to spend time with the boy. The slut is part of the package.

Kate: Maggie? What-- [Sighs] Maggie. Of course. Because Maggie is now Parker's grandmother. And you're still his grandfather by marriage. You--you fraud! No wonder you're so philosophical and calm because nothing changes for you, does it?

Victor: Of course it does!

Kate: No!

Victor: I'm very upset.

Kate: Fine. That's enough. Okay? I'm the only one who's left out in the cold here. And if you think that I'm going to take that lying down, then you are sadly, sadly mistaken.

Victor: Kate, where are you going?

Daniel: So, uh, what do you mean...like, fresh start?

Chloe: Uh, for you and Parker. Not--

Daniel: No, okay. Okay, I was just-- I was just checking.

Chloe: Yeah, Daniel, please. I-I understand. I betrayed you. You know, things happened, and...everything snowballed into a huge mess. But I'm glad that I can finally make it up to you. And I'm glad that this little man is yours.

Daniel: Thank you for staying.

Chloe: Like I said--

Daniel: You know, this part isn't your fault. We both were lied to. You know that.

Chloe: True, but at least I had Parker. You've missed out on a lot. I hope this makes up for some lost time.

Daniel: Oh, it will. You know, I can't stay here every night obviously.

Chloe: Yeah, well, uh, I can't either. Yeah, uh-- but at least now I'll have money to get my own place.

Daniel: And I'll get things set up for Parker, you know, at my place. We'll just, uh--we'll figure it out.

Chloe: Yeah, we will.

Daniel: Yeah.

Sonny: Can you see the clock?

Will: No.

[Clatter]

Sonny: You wanna be late for the wedding?

Will: No, you know, if you could've just given this to me last night, we could've celebrated.

Sonny: Well, then you definitely would've been late for the wedding.

Will: Yes, but I-- I have hours.

Sonny: Aren't you supposed to be running things? You're the best man.

Will: I think I just show up and just...give the rings. That's it. You know what, I'm gonna go grab some stuff right now if that's okay. I'm gonna take a shower and grab some-- unless I'm being too...eager and needy, which--

Sonny: No, I think it's a good look. You just wanna get some of the stuff outta there while your mom's not home.

Will: No, actually, I think they're gonna be-- I mean, I know my mom especially is gonna be fine with it.

Sonny: Let's just do it after the wedding.

Will: No! I have plans for us after the wedding. I wanna do it now, okay? Okay.

[Water running]

Hi, this is Sonny Kiriakis. I, uh, placed a special order the other day, and I just wanted to make sure it's gonna be delivered on time. Yes, for Valentine's Day. And it'll definitely be delivered on time. Yeah, "William Horton. To our new beginning. I love you. Sonny." Perfect. Thank you so much. Will's gonna love this.

Chad: Better get going. You two need to get ready.

Abigail: Yeah, um, I'll see you later.

Chad: Um, sure. And, um, I hope you have a wonderful wedding. I know you'll have a beautiful maid of honor.

Abigail: The look on your face--

Gabi: You and Chad?

Abigail: Maybe. Um, it's really--it's really new, and I'm not quite sure what it is exactly yet, but, um--

Gabi: Chad looks happy.

Abigail: I hope so. I'm just glad that whatever that thing was between the two of you, that now it's over. Now let's go.

Gabi: I have to get my stuff. I'll-- you know, Abigail, um... you need a date for my wedding. You should probably ask him.

Abigail: Chad? Are you sure that's okay?

Gabi: Yeah, I mean, I just want everybody to be happy today.

Nick: So what we have here is a two-year plan...

Rafe: Uh-huh.

Nick: Based on my salary at Mad World and projected bonuses for reaching benchmarks. On this axis, what we have are projected costs, right? So that's the baby, uh, finding a new place to live, Gabi's enrollment in school. It's basically everything that Gabi said that she's ever wanted. I have a list of that... right here, all right? Because I can sit here, right, and I can tell you that I love her and that I wanna take care of her and that I'm gonna cherish her. But that's just talk, right?

Rafe: Right.

Nick: What you need to hear, what you need to know--the reason you're here is to make sure that I understand that I need to step up every day in real-world, concrete ways. And that if I don't make sure that your sister is happy and loved and cherished, that I could find myself, you know, dropped down a-a very deep hole. And you'd be totally justified, you know, given the way that things started out between us and holding me to that standard. But I want you to know that I hold myself to that high standard, if not higher, and-- and that I--I'm gonna do every--

Rafe: Nick, Nick, Nick. I'm gonna stop you right there, okay?

Nick: What?

Rafe: That is not the talk.

Nick: What do you mean?

Rafe: No. That's not the reason I'm here.

Nick: To Cancun?

Rafe: Yeah, well, don't get too excited because it's just coach. But I figured since you haven't started the big job yet, that you might need a little help with the honeymoon.

Nick: I, uh-- I don't know what to say. This is, um, unexpected.

Rafe: Yeah, 'cause I was such a hard-ass when I found out about the both of you--

Nick: No. No, that was totally understandable.

Rafe: How about a clean slate, hmm?

Nick: I appreciate that, Rafe, seriously.

Rafe: And I know that you love my sister. Otherwise you would've never gotten this far. But that was--that was cool.

Nick: Oh.

Rafe: I liked hearing that.

Nick: Thanks.

Rafe: So this is an app? The, uh--

Nick: No, no, no. I just wrote my own algorithm.

Rafe: Yeah.

Sami: No. No, we don't need that at the church. Um, so you have the pub's number. Uh, you deliver it all there. You can--you can coordinate that with them, okay? Yes, great! Thank you. I'm so sorry.

EJ: No, no, not at all. Look, I know you're very busy. But there's something that I wanted--

Sami: I have to talk to you about something.

Johnny: Daddy!

EJ: Hello! Hi!

Johnny: What are you doing here in the morning?

EJ: What am I doing here in the morning? Well, the morning is when you start school, isn't it? So I thought maybe I would take you to school today.

Johnny: Can he, Mommy? Please, please, please!

Sami: Yes. Yes. Yes! He can. That would actually help me out a lot. Thank you, EJ.

Johnny: Yay!

Sami: You go get your backpack, buddy. I'm gonna get your lunch.

EJ: Excellent, okay.

Sami: Okay. I can--oh! Oh! I was about to bring it to you.

EJ: No, it's okay. I'm just, you know, happy to help. Truly. And I'll be happier when you're not surprised that I'm so happy to help, if that makes sense. This is the way I'd like things to be, going forward.

Sami: Oh, yeah?

EJ: Look, Samantha, you don't, um-- you don't really think I took a job at Countess Wilhelmina because I love cosmetics, do you?

Sami: It's a... growth industry.

EJ: Right. I just, you know--I wanted to make your life easier and to be close to you. I can't remember the last time I was this happy. It just feels... normal, doesn't it? I mean, it feels... easier this time. Don't you think?

Sami: EJ, we make a great team.

EJ: We do. We--we do. I love you. I'm in love with you... again.

Sami: I, um--I didn't see that coming.

EJ: Of course you did. I feel you, and I know that you feel me too. We have the same pull, Samantha. We have the same bond.

EJ: Please don't tell me this thing with Kristen's gonna come between the two of us.

Gabi: Oh, my gosh! I can't believe that you got us a honeymoon!

Rafe: Well, listen, you're gonna need a break before the baby comes. 'Cause--yeah.

Nick: I know, it's-- it's so great. Thank you so much again. I, uh--I have to make a quick call, all right?

Gabi: Okay.

Rafe: Go.

Nick: Yeah.

[Phone ringing]

Gabi: What?

Rafe: Mama.

Gabi: Oh, you think that Tia Estrella told her?

Rafe: No, she said she wouldn't say anything. You think we should?

Chloe: What?

Kate: I wanna see my grandson.

Chloe: Will isn't here.

Kate: Okay, let's not play semantics.

Chloe: Well, you can't possibly mean Parker because he's not yours in any way.

Daniel: He is beautiful, Mel. I wish you could see him, I do. I'll send you a picture. Yes, I will. Yes, I'll do it tomorrow. Okay. Yeah, all right. I gotta go. I love you. All right, bye. Victor, hey. What are you doing here?

Victor: I was just in the neighborhood.

Daniel: If somebody brought you at gunpoint maybe. You hate the hospital. Maggie has to drag you here for your check-ups.

Victor: All right, fine. I came down to check on you. I wanted to see you away from the house, away from everyone, so you could speak freely. So how are you doing, really?

Daniel: Really? Um... it's like a dream come true.

Kate: That little boy must be very, very confused right now, and he needs a familiar face, Chloe.

Chloe: What do you think I am?

Kate: Do you really want me to answer that?

Chloe: I'm his mother, Kate. There's no question about that. And Daniel is his father. And you know what, they're happy together already.

Kate: Parker doesn't even know who he is.

Chloe: Well, that is gonna change fast. You know what, he's fine, Kate. Thank you for your concern. You can go now.

Kate: Okay, what are you gonna do? What, are you gonna throw me out of--

Chloe: Out of what, Parker's life? Victor's house? Because I think I stand on firm ground in either case.

Kate: How can you be so--

Chloe: What?

Kate: So--

Chloe: Cruel?

Chloe: You tried to kill me, Kate. You poisoned me, you sent a man to blackmail me, and you tried to take my son away from me.

Kate: I did that for his own good, Chloe. You're lucky I didn't spit in your face and slam the door.

Kate: I want to see my grandson.

Chloe: Learn to say it, Kate. He is not your grandson. So why are you still here?

Abigail: To you and Will. You guys should have a housewarming.

Sonny: Really?

Abigail: Yeah, it would be so much fun.

Sonny: I'm just glad that our friends are happy. You know, I was afraid people would think we're moving in too soon, but--

EJ: I'm just taking him to school now.

Sami: This is, um--wow.

Will: Yeah.

Sami: So you're happy, right, about this?

Will: I am. Are you? Are you okay with this?

Sami: Yeah. You know, I mean, I-- I just want you to be happy, really. That's all that matters to me. I swear.

Will: But what? What else are you gonna say?

Sami: Well, you're not old enough, you know? I mean, I'm not old enough for you to be...old enough to be moving in with a guy.

Will: Mom, Mom. Are you having a moment here?

Sami: Shut up.

Will: I'm sorry.

Sami: Just...promise me you'll be happy, okay?

Will: Yeah. I promise. Be a lot--yeah. Plus, now you--you'll have less stuff to deal with when you move in with Rafe.

Sami: Whoa, whoa. Where is that coming from?

Will: Oh, I saw you guys last night, making the, uh--the sexy eyes at each other.

Sami: [Laughing]

Will: You're getting back together, right?

Sami: Look, just don't say anything, okay? 'Cause, I mean, nothing's settled yet or anything.

Will: I'm not gonna say anything, I just-- I don't know. Whoever you're with, I just want you to be happy, okay? That's the important thing.

Sami: And I just want you to be happy. How about that? You're happy with Sonny. I mean, wouldn't it be weird? It's working out for both of us at the same time?

Gabi: Give--

Daniel: But, you know, losing Parker just left this big-- this big void. I couldn't even let myself know how big-- how much I miss-- I have him. I have him now, he's mine, and I get to see him as much as I want.

Victor: Well, is that what you really want? I mean, I can put the lawyers on it right awa--

Daniel: Lawyers? What?

Victor: No. I suppose we have to worry about Chloe going back to Chicago. Assume she's not gonna stay here permanently.

Daniel: Uh, yeah, she is. She got a job. She's moving back here.

Victor: Oh, damn.

Daniel: This is a good thing.

Victor: Is it?

Daniel: Yeah.

Victor: Have you seen the way she looks at you?

Kate: Okay. You may be the world's worst mother.

Chloe: Oh, don't give up that crown so easily.

Kate: But even you can't believe that it's a good idea for him to lose all contact with me. I have been the constant--a constant in his life, Chloe.

Chloe: And that is over now. Hallelujah! Done! I've stomached you, Kate, because I had no choice. I cringed every time you touched that sweet baby and prayed that I could undo any damage you might've done to him.

Kate: I would never ever hurt him.

Chloe: Because you didn't have a chance yet. And now you never will.

Kate: Okay. Whatever you think of me, whatever has gone on between us, Parker loves me, and I have loved him.

Chloe: He's young. He'll forget you. Now he has a real grandmother who has more love in her little pinkie than you can squeeze out of your whole, miserable body. He's free of you now. And so am I.

Chad: My nephew's a trip.

EJ: Yeah. Best thing I've ever done, those children.

[Phone ringing]

Chad: Hang on. Hello?

Abigail: Hi. What are you doing today?

Chad: Uh, I don't know. Shouldn't you be getting ready for the wedding?

Abigail: Well, so should you. Will you be my date? Gabi said that I could bring you.

Chad: Really? Okay, yeah. Yeah, I'm in.

Abigail: Great. So, um, I will see you there.

Chad: I'll see you then.

Abigail: Okay.

Chad: I gotta run. Got a wedding to attend. I'm the maid of honor's date.

EJ: Lovely.

Chad: Yeah. I'll, um, keep an eye on Sami for you...if you want. I don't know.

Sami: Oh, my God. Where are they? Where are my shoes?

[Knocking on door]

Sami: Will! You have a key. You don't need to knock anymore. No!

Rafe: Okay, not really the reaction I was looking for.

Sami: Well, you're early. I'm not ready.

Rafe: Good.

Will: Hi. Where is everybody?

Gabi: Well, Rafe is, um, doing something. And, uh, Nick is in the back.

Will: What's wrong?

Gabi: Nothing.

Will: Tell me.

Gabi: [Sighs] Do you think I'm gonna be a good mom?

Will: Yeah, of course.

Gabi: I mean, don't "of course." I mean, people always think that they're gonna be different than their parents.

Will: Well, you will be. You're gonna make completely different mistakes.

Gabi: Well, at least the baby will always know that he's loved.

Will: Or she will, you know?

Gabi: Right, well, I mean, I can promise you that. And I don't want you to be, you know--

Will: I'm not worried.

Gabi: I'm sorry. I--

Will: You know, you're glowing. You're so beautiful. You're gonna be... just a beautiful bride.

Gabi: Thank you, Will. You're the best. And, you know, you're not allowed to not be my friend or the baby's. You have to be our friend.

Will: Yeah, how's that gonna work though?
