Kristen: Mwah. That call can wait.

EJ: You're giving orders, are you?

Kristen: No, silly. I brought you a present.

EJ: What's that?

Kristen: Um, some information on an ex-wife of yours. Well, are you gonna open it?

Marlena: She's never giving up on you. What will it take for you to see that?

John: Running into Kristen at the rectory was a coincidence. Ask Father Tobias.

Marlena: I see. So not only is she a rescuer of injured children, but now she's a church lady. What's her encore-- loaves and fishes?

John: Oh, come on, Doc. You know--it doesn't even matter what she does. As long as we're onto her, she can't get away with anything.

Marlena: Really? Because she's hounding Sami at work, she's infused herself into my therapist's office, and she's on the church board with you. It sounds like she's already getting away with things.

John: Honey, please--

Marlena: John, I feel like I'm Cassandra here. I see exactly what's coming in the future, and I can't get anybody to believe--

Hope: Hey, I'm so happy I ran into you. Roman just told me Kristen's back in town.

John: Yeah, we know.

Hope: She here to cause trouble? That's her M.O., right?

Marlena: Kind of depends on who you ask.

Brady: Well, what now? Oh, ma--Maggie, sorry. Sorry.

Maggie: [Giggles] It sounds like you were expecting Victor.

Brady: Yeah, we were--we were just talking. All right, we were arguing. I figured there was something that he had remembered that he'd forgotten to hit me with.

Maggie: He hit you?

Brady: No, he didn't hit me-- a figure of speech. You--you look like...

Maggie: Oh, like a mom who found out she had a son who's leaving and never coming back?

Brady: Maggie, I'm sorry. This whole thing is a mess. Tell me what I can do for you.

Maggie: Stop them from going.

Brady: Even if I could, I think it might be too late at this point.

Daniel: [Sighs]

Dr. Sedwick: Dr. Jonas, there must be some confusion. I'm the one who told Nicole Walker her baby was dead.

Daniel: Damn it. Where are you, Nicole?

[Knock at door]

Daniel: Oh, Rafe, thank you. Come in.

Rafe: I got here as fast as I could.

Daniel: I appreciate it.

Rafe: Yeah, you didn't sound too good on the message.

Daniel: Yeah. I need to find Nicole... as soon as possible.

Rafe: Okay. But if you don't know where she is, who does?

Jennifer: Nicole... what do you want? I know the bargain you made with Daniel. I know you dropped the charges against me to get him to go away with you.

Nicole: He wants to go away with me! What is wrong with you? You broke his heart, and all of a sudden, you care again? This is not your decision to make!

Jennifer: No, you're right. It's not. It's Daniel's. Nicole, what do you want? Nicole.

Nicole: Where's Daniel?

Jennifer: How should I know?

Nicole: You're lying. You convinced him to come over here, so you could tell him not to leave town with me. Now, where is he?

Daniel: Well, I got here, and then Nicole was gone. That's all I know.

Rafe: The two of you are supposed to be getting on a flight for Hawaii this morning, right?

Daniel: Right. Yeah. No, we're leaving soon. We're gonna go to the airport--

Rafe: Okay, well, I don't think that she would do anything to mess up getting on that plane... unless, of course, she somehow got the idea the trip was postponed or that it wasn't happening.

Daniel: Okay, you know what? I don't really--it's not like that, all right? I just need to find her, now.

Rafe: Okay. [Chuckles] Just let me get this straight. She might be late leaving for the airport and you call a cop?

Daniel: Are you gonna help me or not?

Rafe: Something's gone seriously wrong here.

Daniel: I don't have time to spell this out for you. I really don't. I just need to find Nicole.

Rafe: Right, yeah, I got that, but I'm sorry--if you want me to help you, I need to know what that something is.

Nicole: Daniel? Daniel?

Jennifer: What in the world are you doing? What has gotten into you?

Nicole: You don't like people coming over here uninvited? Well, that's really funny, because you had no problem coming over to Daniel's and making your little threats.

Jennifer: What threats, Nicole?

Nicole: What threats? Are you serious? You know what you said to me. You made sure that I knew you would do anything, everything you could to make sure Daniel didn't leave town with me.

Jennifer: No, I can't tell Daniel what to do.

Nicole: Never stops you from trying, does it?

Jennifer: Of course, you've got the whole situation wrong again, and as you can see, Daniel is not here, okay?

Nicole: Really? Oh, you're not--you're not waiting for him? You didn't call him earlier? Isn't that why you're all gussied up?

Jennifer: You know what, Nicole? I'm gonna give you my phone. How's that? You want my phone?

Nicole: That would be great. Sure.

Jennifer: Take my phone and look at my call history. Here, look. I have nothing to hide from you. But you're supposed to leave town with Daniel in a little while, aren't you? So what are you doing here?

Nicole: Fine. He's not here, and you didn't call him.

Jennifer: That's right. I didn't.

Nicole: Can you blame me for thinking that? I mean, before my baby died, you never stopped trying to come between Daniel and me.

Jennifer: I stopped right before you fell down those stairs, and you know that's when I stopped.

Nicole: No, I don't know that--you know, oh, my gosh. You know what? I have a plane to catch, and if there is a God, I will never see you again.

Jennifer: You know what? No. You're not leaving now, because now it's my turn.

Kristen: Well, are you gonna say thank you?

EJ: Well, I would, but I already have a copy of Nicole and Daniel's itinerary.

Kristen: Oh, darn. I guess I underestimated your resourcefulness. Shoot.

EJ: Well, you know, I didn't say thank you.

Kristen: Yeah, well, you know, you're my brother, and I love you, so I wanted to do something nice.

EJ: What, you thought I wouldn't be keeping tabs on Daniel and Nicole? I had a man on them since I found out she was carrying my son.

Kristen: Mm. According to this, they're leaving today for Hawaii. You gonna do something about it?

EJ: Do you know why she said she let Jennifer off the hook? Because she needed some rest and recovery.

Kristen: Huh. And what are you gonna do to recover?

EJ: I don't know. Times like this, I like to take a verse from the good book.

Kristen: Really?

EJ: Yeah, there's one I like in particular.

Kristen: Okay. What is it?

EJ: It's one that refers to an eye for an eye.

Kristen: Oh, that one. Yeah, in the past, I have found that one to be extremely inspirational.

Marlena: Does Bo know that Kristen's in town?

Hope: No. I don't want him and Caroline to worry about what's going on back here. I mean, that's the last thing they need.

John: I agree.

Hope: You know, I have to say, when I heard this, my first reaction was that-- [Scoffs] Wow. I mean, it took a lot of nerve for her to come back here with all those outstanding charges against her.

John: Eh, she really didn't have anything to worry about, seeing as the statute of limitations already kicked in.

Marlena: And what that didn't solve Stefano did.

Hope: The slate's been wiped clean? And why didn't the two of you tell me about this?

Marlena: Well, John didn't think it was a big deal that she's back.

John: We're gonna be fine. However, I'm starting to believe we could use a couple days away from all this.

Marlena: Away from Kristen? That's the best news I've heard all day.

John: I mean, it's getting really hectic at work lately.

Marlena: Oh.

Hope: You know, um... I may have a deal for you two. Hmm?

Maggie: You were right. I needed to get out of the house. Do you mind if I ask you what you and Victor were arguing about?

Brady: [Sighs] Nicole.

Maggie: [Laughs] Oh, she's on everyone's mind, isn't she?

Brady: Mm-hmm. Maggie, I... I just feel that I'm the only one that understands how much that baby meant to her.

Maggie: Rafe did. Daniel did.

Brady: Really? Really? Then why is he pushing her out of town, then, hmm?

Maggie: Brady, Nicole Walker hasn't been pushed around since she was in a baby carriage.

Brady: This whole Hawaii idea--it's got disaster written all over it, and Nicole can't see it. She can't see it. She never does. I should have done something.

Maggie: So is that what you and Victor were arguing about-- his, um... trying to get you to stop Nicole from leaving?

Brady: That's not really important now, is it?

Maggie: Oh, so it was. And if I know my husband, his ideas of how to stop her were not exactly on the up-and-up.

Brady: I'm not gonna do it. So don't worry about it.

Maggie: I'm really not worried. I just wish Victor had told me-- thank you. What he was thinking because... I don't know--give me a try to talk you into it. I'm a whole lot better at that kind of thing than he is. [Giggles]

Brady: I know you're sick to your stomach at the thought of Daniel leaving town.

Maggie: Let me get something straight. If Daniel were leaving town for some fabulous opportunity, I would still miss him like crazy. But that's not why he's going. He's going because some opportunistic tramp used the baby that she was carrying to get her hooks into him, and that's what I hate.

Brady: Maggie, you're entitled to your opinion of Nicole.

Maggie: That's right. I am.

Brady: But we want the same thing.

Maggie: For Daniel and Nicole not to go to Hawaii.

Brady: Yeah. Well, if they do go in spite of everything that we have both done, maybe you and I need to get the courage to change the things that we can.

Daniel: I called you because I only have a certain amount of time to find Nicole, and here's my thought. You're a cop. You can go out there and look for her. I will stay here in case she comes back.

Rafe: Nothing would stop her from getting on that plane with you, but now it's time, and... she's gone missing, huh? Why aren't you leveling with me here? Did she do something illegal?

Daniel: No, no, I called you because you have been part of this from the beginning. You are the only other person who cares about her.

Rafe: Yeah. Exactly. What, you don't trust me enough to let me in on what's going on?

Daniel: It's not a matter of trust. Please.

Rafe: Okay. I'll see what I can do.

Daniel: Thanks.

Rafe: But eventually... I want the whole story.

Daniel: Yeah. Me too.

Nicole: Again, I don't have time for this. Get out of my way.

Jennifer: No. I said no.

Nicole: Haven't you cost me enough?

Jennifer: You know, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. How did I cost you your baby? Because just yesterday you miraculously remembered that I wasn't to blame. So just tell me, which is it, Nicole?

Nicole: Again, I am not doing this, Jennifer.

Jennifer: Really? I'm ready to do it.

Nicole: No.

Jennifer: Because in a trial, it would be your word against mine. And as frightened as I was, I almost wish it had worked out that way.

Nicole: Oh, I see. So who would a jury believe, right? The lady in the front pew at church every Sunday or the slut like me?

Jennifer: [Scoffs] They would have just proved that I was guilty or innocent. But you know what? It would be better than listening to you say that you let me off the hook every day, as if my innocence and guilt was in your hands, Nicole.

Nicole: Well, if you didn't do anything, Jennifer, why do you keep bringing this up?

Jennifer: Did you say something that you don't believe, so that Daniel would go away with you? Just tell me that.

Nicole: What is wrong with you?

Jennifer: Just tell me! Just tell me that!

Nicole: I don't believe this! You actually think I would use my dead baby as some kind of bargaining chip?

Jennifer: Not if you tell me that I'm wrong! I know that Daniel is about--is about to take you off to Hawaii. That's fine. This isn't about him. This is about you and me and what happened on those stairs that day. So tell me what happened, and you can walk out that door, and you can start your new life, Nicole. But I want to hear you say it. Don't you think you owe me that?

Hope: Okay. I don't know if you guys remember, but our family has a cabin on Smith Island.

Marlena: Oh, I know that. I love it there.

Hope: I know. So do I. We need to get it ready for the winter. Storm windows need to be put up. The boiler needs to be checked. I need to--oh, you know, all the stuff like that. Bo usually takes care of it all. I suppose I could hire someone.

Marlena: Well... maybe we could take care of it for you. You know, it's not too far away, and we could be in a town on a moment's notice.

Hope: You'd have some peace and quiet, a couple of beautiful fall days. In return, John, are you hearing me? You'd be helping me out 'cause I could cross something off my to-do list. So what do you think?

John: I'd say you got yourself a deal.

Hope: Great.

Marlena: Thank you.

Hope: Okay, just one more-- well, in the spirit of full disclosure, I do need to tell you this. The cell tower on the island is completely out of commission, so there is no service. And one more thing-- sorry--just to make it worse. There's no landline either.

John: Huh.

Marlena: So we would be incommunicado for a few days, hmm?

John: Yeah.

Marlena: Okay, well, I don't know about you, but it sounds like heaven to me.

Kristen: You're so quiet. What are you thinking about?

EJ: Hmm?

Kristen: What are you thinking about?

EJ: Well, I believe that Jennifer was responsible for the death of my son. It's very easy. You understand? I mean, I just wanted justice to be served. That was that.

Kristen: Mm-hmm.

EJ: But now, I mean, if it turns out that his death was an accident--

Kristen: Well, that's if you can believe what Nicole says.

EJ: No, no, no, I understand that. But if it was an accident, that means that it wasn't anybody's fault.

Kristen: But you still have Nicole and Rafe and Daniel who tried to deceive you.

EJ: I can't pursue that, especially not with Rafe. If I do that, then all the progress that I made with Samantha is out the window.

Kristen: Okay, so you do nothing. Right?

EJ: I don't know. That's exactly what I'm grappling with.

Kristen: Okay.

EJ: Look, I don't know what to do. I can't act as if nothing happened. I can't act as if it doesn't matter to me that I didn't know I had a son until he was dead. I can't do that. I won't do that.

Roman: What won't you do?

EJ: Goodness. Hello, Roman.

Kristen: Long time no see.

Rafe: Kristen. May I ask you a question, EJ?

EJ: Oh, you know us. We were just talking about the fact that we hope your police department doesn't suffer any more budget cuts, even if we are just regular citizens.

Roman: Well, you should have stood up with us when you were the mayor. Maybe you'd still be the mayor. I heard you were back in town, Kristen.

Kristen: Yeah, I tried to put Salem behind me, but I just couldn't.

Roman: What a shame... for Salem.

Daniel: [Exhales deeply] Well, it can't hurt to try one more time.

Nicole: What am I supposed to say?

Jennifer: The truth... because after you told anyone that would listen to you that I pushed you, did you decide that it was wrong, or did you say that because that's what Daniel wanted you to say?

Nicole: What's the difference?

Jennifer: What do you mean "what's the difference"? There's a big difference.

Nicole: I am not doing this, Jennifer.

Nicole: Get off of me!

Jennifer: You are not leaving this house!

Nicole: This is a waste of time, Jennifer. Why can't you just leave it alone? Leave it alone. Leave me alone!

Jennifer: Just tell me the truth. For once in your life, tell me the truth.

Daniel: Hello? Hello? Who's talking?

Nicole: Where's my damn phone?

Jennifer: I don't care where your phone is.

Nicole: What the hell is wrong with you? Are you insane?

Jennifer: No, this is me trying to become sane again.

Nicole: Well, good luck with that, because personally I think it's gonna be a long, hard climb.

Jennifer: No, it's not, not if you stop playing games. This is ridiculous.

Nicole: Look... Jennifer... I have been through hell. And I am on edge. And if you keep pushing me, I guarantee you are gonna be sorry.

Daniel: My God. Jennifer.

Maggie: Situations like this remind me of a parable... of the seven blind men and the elephant. Everyone has a different truth. But it sure would be nice if something good came out of all of this. I think you and Jennifer--well, you could do a lot of good for each other.

Brady: [Chuckles] We spoke about it briefly, Maggie.

Maggie: You did?

Brady: Briefly. She could never seem to get her mind off Nicole and Daniel.

Maggie: Hmm. Well, did you ever think that maybe it was easier for her to obsess about them than to face the truth... that she has lost Jack forever?

Brady: Yeah, I could see that.

Maggie: So, if Nicole and Daniel are gone, she has to face that. So maybe someone who lost their soul mate the same night she lost hers... maybe that someone could help her in a way that no one else can. Maybe... I don't know-- maybe she could help you too.

Kristen: You know, anything you have to say to me, you can say in front of EJ.

Roman: I disagree.

Kristen: Well, I'm sorry it's so painful for you to have me back in Salem.

Roman: Oh, come on. Come on, that was a long time ago. I am way beyond what happened back then.

Kristen: Okay, well, then are you here in an official capacity? Because I just cleared my statute of limitations. I'd be pretty stupid if I even jaywalked in this town, don't you think?

Roman: That is correct. I would agree. But you don't always do what's in your best interest. That's why we're having this little talk here right now... because, you see, people don't know why you're back, what you're thinking. So I want to give you a friendly warning and some advice. I'll be watching you very closely, Kristen, so be careful.

Kristen: Okay.

Roman: Don't screw up.

Kristen: Got you.

Roman: Okay?

EJ: Wow. That looked rather unpleasant.

Kristen: Have you ever noticed that when people tell you it's not personal, it always is?

EJ: That is a little bit too cryptic, even for me.

Kristen: I guess I could have treated him better.

EJ: [Chuckles] What did you do?

Kristen: Uh, I loved John, John loved Marlena, Marlena and John loved each other, blah, blah, blah.

EJ: So you used him?

Kristen: I kind of did.

EJ: Yeah.

Kristen: May I ask you something?

EJ: Please.

Kristen: What is it about Marlena that I don't get? What is it about her that John and Roman and even our father-- they have these strong feelings for her.

EJ: It sounds to me like they're not the only ones.

Kristen: Well, she had what I wanted. She had John, and she had his child, so... [Scoffs] Thank God that, uh, time heals all wounds, right?

EJ: I see.

Kristen: Thank you.

EJ: So you're over this whole thing?

Kristen: I am. Yes. And I'm so sick of talking about it. I believe that before we were rudely interrupted, we were talking about you and the three people that were trying to deny you your son. And you are going to let two of them fly away. Isn't that where we left it?

Daniel: Oh, damn it. It's breaking up. Hey. Hello?

Jennifer: Are you threatening me?

Nicole: You've been threatening me for weeks.

Jennifer: Oh, it's always about me pushing you.

Nicole: Yeah, well, maybe I should push you back.

Daniel: They got to be at Jennifer's. Oh, my God.

Jennifer: What's the matter, Nicole--getting a little too close to the truth for you? You weren't confused, were you? You were lying.

Nicole: Shut up.

Jennifer: You know that I didn't push you, but you told everyone that I did, right?

Nicole: No.

Jennifer: When you were lying at the bottom of those stairs, you didn't ask how your baby was. All you did was point your finger at me.

Nicole: I said shut the hell up.

Jennifer: You just wanted to get even because that is all you ever care about--is getting even. Admit it.

Nicole: Fine, you want the truth, bitch? Here it is.

EJ: Okay, so last night you told me that I might have to face the fact that this was an accident with no clear villain.

Kristen: Because we were talking about how your child died. But now we're discussing the three people that wanted to keep him a secret from you. Now, according to this itinerary, if you were going to do something, you wouldn't have much time, so...

EJ: You're not seriously suggesting that, when Daniel arrives in Maui, that he's going to be out of my reach, are you? Maui's a very dangerous place.

Kristen: Oh, shut up. You're not gonna--he's not gonna have some kind of an accident.

EJ: You don't think that's a good idea?

Kristen: No, I don't think that's a good idea. You don't have to resort to that. You're a lawyer. You know very well that you have legal grounds to go after all three of them for tampering with those paternity-test results.

EJ: Uh-huh. Publicly.

Kristen: Okay, so Sami would find out.

EJ: Mm-hmm.

Kristen: She's known you for a lot of years, EJ. You don't think if Nicole and Daniel's helicopter tour of the island suddenly ended in tragedy, she might not be a little suspicious of that?

EJ: Okay, sister... what would you suggest?

Kristen: Only you can decide that, actually. Well, you can't, but... there's another verse in the good book that I like. It's tripped me up a couple of times. "Judge not lest ye be judged." Well, only you know how far you're willing to go for justice... and what you need to do to make things right. Bye. Mwah.

EJ: Get--no.

Marlena: I'm so sorry. Dr. Evans. Oh, yes, okay, go ahead. Yeah, thanks. Excuse me a second.

Hope: Sure.

Marlena: Mm-hmm.

John: Who's she talking to?

Hope: Oh, I think it's a patient. That was fast.

John: If we're going to Smith Island, we are gonna go today... for her sake.

Hope: Hmm. So you've already had run-ins with Kristen, huh?

John: Eh, minor ones, but Doc thinks it's all part of some master plan.

Hope: And you don't?

John: It doesn't feel that way...yet. But, you know, we're on guard. Maybe that's enough. You don't look convinced.

Marlena: Oh. Oh, hi.

John: That's all right. Who's that?

Marlena: Uh, it's a patient going through a terrible divorce. Just found out that the judge has given her ex-husband full custody. She's beside herself. I've got to call her back in about an hour.

John: Eh, no problem. We'll just take a later ferry.

Hope: Uh, no, there is a problem with that. The ferry is now running on the winter schedule. The last one leaves pretty soon.

John: Hmm.

Marlena: W-well, you better go ahead if you're going to get there.

John: [Chuckles] Without you? Uh-uh.

Marlena: You know, what it will do is, it will give you some time peacefully without me shrieking about Kristen.

John: You don't shriek.

Marlena: I know. I don't shriek. But go ahead. This way you can get the shutters put down, get a fire in the fireplace in time for me to get there.

John: Come on, come on, come on. This isn't part of the plan.

Hope: Well, you know what? Ticktock, ticktock--you have to make a decision quickly.

Marlena: Go.

John: Girls! [Sighs]

Marlena: You go ahead.

John: Do you have a list?

Marlena: [Laughs]

John: Of course. Do you have a--

Hope: Key?

John: You will take the ferry first thing in the morning.

Marlena: Yes, I will. And if anything comes up that I can't make it, which it won't, I will just send a message through carrier pigeon.

John: [Scoffs] Yeah, yeah, yeah. First thing in the morning. Love you.

Marlena: Love you.

Hope: You really didn't care if he went or not, did you?

Marlena: Oh, you know, no, I do. I want to be with him so badly. I would love the time away with him, but the fact is... at best, Kristen can't find him for a few days. So mission accomplished.

Roman: Hey.

Rafe: Hey.

Roman: That's all right. Go ahead--make your call.

Rafe: Eh, it's okay.

Roman: It's a nice day for a stroll through the square, huh?

Rafe: Yeah. Is that why you're here?

Roman: Well, actually, I was looking for you, but then I, uh, checked out the staircase that Nicole fell down.

Rafe: Well, it's not my case.

Roman: I know. I know. I got that case. Fortunately, that case is closed.

Rafe: Well, so why'd you want to see me?

Roman: Somebody put out an A.P.B. with an order that said, "If spotted, do not approach. Contact Detective Hernandez."

Rafe: That was me.

Roman: Yeah, yeah, I kind of figured that. What case you working?

Rafe: It's not a--not a case. [Mumbling] It's just a... thing.

Roman: No kidding.

Rafe: Look, I don't usually ask for much, right? Commissioner, I'd--okay, but just this once, I'm asking you to look the other way.

Roman: This once. But after this... hire a private detective, okay?

Rafe: Okay.

[Cell phone ringing]

Rafe: Yeah. What you got? You're sure that's the car? Okay. Give me the address, and I'll take it from here. No, I don't need directions. I know where I'm going. Yeah. Good work. [Sighs] Sorry, Daniel. Until I know what I'm dealing with here...

Maggie: I guess I should get back to Victor.

Brady: [Clears throat]

Maggie: Will you at least think about what I've said?

Brady: Sure.

Maggie: [Giggles] Begrudgingly. All right, I love you.

Brady: I love you too.

Maggie: Bye.

[Door closes]

Brady: Boy, Maggie, I hate it when you're right, and I'm wrong.

[Cell phone rings]

EJ: What is it? Well, of course, I want you to keep tailing her... right until her and Jonas get on the plane. Well, are you at the airport now? Well, then where are you? What's she doing there? No, you stay where you are. I'll take care of it.

Nicole: The truth is I did change my story to satisfy Daniel, but I never changed my mind.

Jennifer: You are delusional.

Nicole: He never stopped protecting you. You know, a few months I had it all. I had a healthy... baby boy growing inside of me, and I had a man... I had a man who wanted to take care of us. And Jack died, and you went trolling for your next guy.

Jennifer: What are you talking about? That is in your head, Nicole.

Nicole: Why would you offer for me to stay here if you didn't want to get rid of me? You wanted Daniel available. But you knew you couldn't make a play for him, not until you convinced all of Salem that you were the grieving widow. I was in your way, wasn't I?

Jennifer: No, it's the other way around, Nicole.

Nicole: I finally--I finally was gonna be happy. I finally had a chance, and you couldn't stand it. You couldn't stand it, you judgmental, sanctimonious bitch. You had to win. And you know what? I did hear your voice in the answering machine that day wanting to talk to Daniel. So, yes, I went after you.

Jennifer: Right, you came after me, but you know what? I threw in the towel, and I walked away from you.

Nicole: No, you were lying!

Jennifer: And you grabbed my arm, and I broke free--

Nicole: You knocked me down those stairs.

Jennifer: No, you did that yourself.

Nicole: I fell so hard.

Jennifer: Yeah.

Nicole: And I looked up at you, and you just--you looked down at me with that face.

Jennifer: Right, I did, because I could not believe what you had just done--that's why.

Nicole: I finally found the way--I finally found the way to make you lose.

Jennifer: And that's what it's about for you. It's always about winning and losing, Nicole, isn't it? That's all anything is about to you from the very beginning.

Nicole: My biggest mistake-- my biggest mistake was folding when I had the winning hand, but you know what? To hell with that and to hell with you.

Jennifer: What does that mean?

Nicole: What it means is, is you'll find out as soon as they put the handcuffs on you. That's what it means. Daniel.

Daniel: What are you doing here?

Nicole: Thank God you're here... because I finally--I finally realized something. I was wrong. I know I was confused before, and then I thought maybe it was an accident, but it wasn't. She pushed me. She is the reason that my baby is dead, and we just--we need to take a later flight. I have to go to the police. I'm gonna go to the police right now and tell 'em everything. What are you doing?

Daniel: We are not going anywhere.

Marlena: But I think her latest stunt really is the best. She's been here, what, one, maybe two weeks? She is already on the church board.

Hope: Father Tobias allowed that?

Marlena: I think she's got him fooled.

Hope: Isn't John on the board?

Marlena: Duh.

Hope: You know what I can't believe? Is that she's actually trying to become a patient with your therapist.

Marlena: Well, she needs to be on the sofa five days a week for the rest of her life-- there's no doubt about that.

Hope: Well, can't you do something about that?

Marlena: Well, I've talked to my therapist about it, who oddly feels the same way that John does. It's been 14 years, so it should be fine by now.

Hope: No. No, no, no. Kristen locked you in a hidden room and threw away the key. There's no statute of limitations on how you feel about her.

Marlena: Thank you. I've been so frustrated. I feel like I keep losing ground every time I try to talk about what she's been doing.

Hope: I spoke to John while you were on the phone, and I have to tell you he is definitely not as suspicious as you are.

Marlena: I know that. But I think he will be. He has to be soon. I mean, she's so obvious. At least to me she is.

Nicole: Don't listen to her, Daniel. You have to listen to me. Look, I know you want to believe in her--you always do, but I'm the one telling the truth.

Jennifer: She came here because she thought that you were here, and I told her that you weren't and that I hadn't called you--

Nicole: Oh, my God, shut up, Jennifer.

Daniel: Okay, Nicole, stop this.

Nicole: But you're not listening to me.

Daniel: I need you to come with me now.

Nicole: I'm not going anywhere until you tell me you believe me.

Daniel: This is not about Jennifer. It is about the truth. Now, I need you to come with me now.

Nicole: No.

Daniel: And then we'll go somewhere private, and we will talk about this now.

Nicole: I'm not lying to you, Daniel-- not about this, not about my sweet, little baby boy. She's the reason that he's dead. She killed him.

Daniel: No, she didn't.

Nicole: Why are you upset with me?

Daniel: I need you to listen to me. I know.

Nicole: You know what?

Daniel: That when you were at the square that day... you knew that your baby was already dead.
