Sami: So where are we going?

Rafe: You'll see. Not much further.

Sami: It's a nice night for a walk.

Rafe: Yeah. Indian summer.

Sami: How was your day?

Rafe: You flashed this fake picture of you and me in bed to Sami?

Nicole: No, of course not. I made it look like an accident.

Rafe: Right. Ahem. And--and how'd she react to that picture?

Nicole: [Laughs] How do you think? She was so angry. And she accused me of setting the whole thing up.

Rafe: Which you did. Oh, about par for the course these days. How about you?

Marlena: Has it occurred to you that if you're right about Nicole, Rafe will need you to be good about this? Look, this child will need a solid mother figure, as much as your children needed a solid father figure, especially when EJ was at his worst.

Sami: Well, it was full. Very full.

Rafe: Oh, yeah?

Sami: Yeah.

Nicole: [Groans] Okay. Danny, really? Okay, can you please start playing soccer when you're actually born? That'd be great. Oh. How about a nice, warm bath to calm you down there, kiddo? Huh? Or a nice shot of vodka? But that's, of course, out of the question. So please give your mommy a break. [Whimpers] Oh, hey, there, roomie. You'll have to excuse little Danny here. He's dancing all over my innards.

Jennifer: Well, can you just hold on for one second, please?

Nicole: Is it important? I really need to go lie down.

Jennifer: This isn't going to take long. I want to talk to you about moving out.

Nicole: [Exhales]

Maggie: [Laughs] Ah.

Daniel: Doing some damage to Victor's credit card there, are you?

Maggie: Uh, well, actually, um, it's a pair of shoes for the bride to-be.

Daniel: Oh, goodness, please tell me you--you're having as hard a time dealing with this as I am, please.

Maggie: Well, I just-- I-I'm trying to be happy for her.

Daniel: I am too. I--

Maggie: I just feel like it's all--it's all rushing around and--[Stammers]

Daniel: Desperate.

Maggie: That's the word.

Daniel: Right?

Maggie: I wish they would just slow down.

Daniel: I hear you, but is there--are you getting any sign of that? I mean, are you picking up any doubt in her at all?

Maggie: Well, I mean, she's worried about our reaction. But no, no hesitation about the wedding at all.

Daniel: [Scoffs] Damn it.

Maggie: I'm afraid we're going to have to accept the fact that Melanie is not going to change her mind.

Gabi: Melanie, look. There's something that I should have told you a very long time ago, and I am not going to leave this house until I tell you the truth.

Melanie: What is she talking about?

Chad: Gabi, come on, if you--

Melanie: What the hell is going on right now?

Chad: She doesn't need this right now.

Melanie: Apparently, I do.

Chad: You know what, this isn't happening right now, okay?

Gabi: You can't stop me anymore! I am done with lying! This ends now.

Maxine: Hey, hey. Where do you think you're going?

Nick: [Grunts] I need to go.

Maxine: Get over here and sit down.

Nick: [Grunts]

Maxine: You cannot go until you've been released.

Nick: I wasn't even officially admitted.

Maxine: I know who you are and what you're here for. You can leave when Dr. Johnson says so and not before then. So at this time, put your backside on the table.

Nick: Yes, ma'am.

Maxine: And don't move.

Nick: Okay. Yes, ma'am. [Groans and sniffs] You're a friend of Melanie's, aren't you?

Maxine: Mm-hmm.

Nick: [Sniffs] Well, she has nothing to fear from me. And she knows that now.

Maxine: Looks like somebody else didn't buy that.

Chad: Shut up, Gabi.

Gabi: Melanie, you need to know.

Chad: Get out of here.

Melanie: I want to hear what she has to say.

Gabi: Thank you.

Melanie: So say it.

Gabi: I am so sorry, Melanie. Look, I hurt you in the worst possible way. Okay, you were my friend, and-- and I betrayed you.

Maggie: Well, I have to be going. I have one more thing to pick up at the house and then get back to Melanie.

Daniel: Yeah, okay. You know, she really, uh, she really appreciates you. You know that?

Maggie: Don't worry so much. I know this may sound ridiculous, but, um... [Clears throat] After the wedding...

Daniel: Yeah.

Maggie: Uh, and when we see Melanie everyday, and she's happy, and things are--are back to normal--

Daniel: But is she? Happy? Have you seen her happy today?

Maggie: Yes. But not about the wedding.

Daniel: No?

Maggie: She spoke to Nick.

Daniel: What?

Maggie: She sought him out and put her fears on the table. And apparently, she had a very good talk, because when it was over, she felt in her bones that Nick was no threat to her. She, um-- she was genuinely happy when she told me.

Daniel: [Scoffs] I mean, that girl-- I mean, she's amazing. You ride into the lion's den? Where--where does she get that courage? Where? [Laughs] My god.

Maggie: I think she, um, she gets it from her dad.

Daniel: No, no, she-- I-I didn't-- I didn't raise her.

Maggie: She's still yours. She's--she's a lot like you.

Daniel: Yeah, I wish.

Maggie: You don't think that you're strong? I've looked at all that you've been through, and the fact that--that you're still standing--

Daniel: You know what? I just--I just deal with what comes my way. That's--that's not courage. It's just surviving.

Maggie: You and Melanie are a lot alike, you know. You don't--you don't duck your trouble either. You take it head-on. You do what's right. You're a good man.

Daniel: Not that good.

Maggie: Why do you say that?

Jennifer: When I met you, you were so devastated over losing parker. When Chloe told you that you were not the father of that little boy, that completely destroyed you. So tell me, how can you turn around and help someone else do the same exact thing to another man? Even a man as low as EJ DiMera.

Daniel: Just take my word for it. I'm not that good.

Nicole: Wow. Jenn, that's great. Can I at least catch my breath before I have to start packing?

Jennifer: I am not putting you out in the street, Nicole. I'm not tonight, anyway.

Nicole: Oh, good, I have something to look forward to.

Jennifer: Look, I promised you you would have a place to stay until your baby's born, and you still do.

Nicole: Aw, still? Thanks.

Jennifer: I just think with what's coming, it would be better if you lived somewhere else.

Nicole: And I guess by "what's coming," you don't mean a baby crying or dirty diapers.

Jennifer: Didn't you say you needed to go upstairs and rest?

Nicole: I think I got my second wind, so why don't we just lay it out on the table? Daniel told me you talked to him about EJ.

Jennifer: This has nothing to do with Daniel.

Nicole: The hell it doesn't.

Daniel: I hope you guys have fun, all right? Call me if you need anything.

Maggie: Okay, I will. Yeah. Don't worry.

Daniel: I'm trying. I'm trying.

Maggie: Son. [Giggles]

Daniel: Okay. [Sighs]

[Door slams]

Sami: This is where we're eating?

Rafe: Yeah. Uh, hang on a sec, will you? Just, you know, have a seat. Good, right there. Hey.

Daniel: Hey.

Rafe: You talk to Nicole?

Daniel: Uh, yeah, I saw her this morning. I just tried to calm her down.

Rafe: Uh-huh, me too. Do me a favor. Just keep checking on her.

Daniel: Why? Why? What's up?

Rafe: Ah, it's EJ.

Daniel: Oh, my god.

Rafe: Yeah, yeah. He's, uh, giving her a hard time, and she's not helping.

Daniel: Uh, what, do I need to know this?

Rafe: No, I think I got it. Uh--it's neutralized. For now.

Daniel: Okay, well, she's scared, you know?

Rafe: Yeah. Yeah. And hormonal, which is not a good combination for her, so...

Daniel: Right.

Rafe: Do what you can, all right?

Daniel: You got it, man. You got it. And you keep me posted, and I'll do the same.

Rafe: Yes.

Daniel: All right, right on. Take care, man.

Rafe: Yep.

Daniel: Hey.

Rafe: Sorry about that. You--

[Door slams]

Rafe: You okay that we're here at the pub? I--your grandma's not here.

Sami: [Laughs] Which is a good thing 'cause, um, she'd have a lot of questions about us eating together.

Rafe: [Laughs] Yeah. Right. But you--you're, um-- you're okay with it? 'Cause you seem dressed for something a little-- little fancier.

Sami: I love the pub.

Rafe: Okay. You even got a little purse.

Sami: [Laughs] Yep. Just for my lipstick. I didn't think I would need cab fare.

Rafe: No. You won't.

Sami: So...

Rafe: So--

Sami: How's Nicole? When it comes to getting my family to eat breakfast,

Rafe: Nicole?

Sami: Nicole. Walker. That's who you were talking about with Daniel, right?

Rafe: Uh, yeah. Mm-hmm.

Sami: I had heard about Daniel. Um, he's the one who saved the baby, right? After the explosions? I figured he might still be her doctor, and maybe you were talking about her. Is she okay?

Rafe: Yeah. She--she's fine.

Sami: Good. I'm glad. I mean, not for her sake, of course, but...

Rafe: [Chuckles]

Sami: I'm glad for you.

Jennifer: I don't know what Daniel said to you. I really don't want to know, Nicole.

Nicole: Jennifer, are you gonna be okay with him being around?

Jennifer: Around?

Nicole: Around me. Daniel is gonna be around me wherever I am, and I-I can try to keep you two from running into each other while I'm still living here. But we can't not see each other, and if you're gonna have a problem with that, I need to know now.

Jennifer: Nicole, whatever is going on between you and Daniel is between the two of you. And I'm gonna be late for work. Just... lie on your right side. It helps calm the baby down. I tried it with Abigail.

Nicole: Thanks.

[Door opens]

Melanie: You betrayed me. So you two-- you two--you betrayed me. And that's why you-- you kicked her out because you didn't want her to tell me that you two--

Chad: Whoa, whoa, whoa. What? What? N-no. No, no, no. We--we didn't--

Gabi: No, no, no.

Chad: I didn't--g-Gabi?

Gabi: No, Chad--look. Chad would never cheat on you. Never. And--and if I'd known how much he loved you, then maybe none of this would've ever happened, but I didn't. And everything's my fault.

Melanie: Will you just tell me?

Gabi: [Sighs] Okay. Andrew wasn't a stalker.

Melanie: What do you mean?

Gabi: I made it up. And then I hired Andrew to play the part.

Melanie: [Laughs] Why?

Gabi: To try to get attention. Because I wanted Chad, and I didn't think about how much that would hurt you. I figured that if he saw that I was in trouble, then maybe that he would realize how much he cares.

Chad: Look, I had no idea what was going on.

Gabi: That's true. Everything was my idea. And I did all that stupid stuff with the doll and the note and everything. And then I didn't think about anything. Then you guys came to my rescue, and I had to actually create a real threat. And that's when I hired Andrew.

Melanie: So you hired someone to kidnap me.

Gabi: No. I would never do that. I would never do that, okay? Everything that Andrew did, that was his fault, okay? He thought that I wanted you out of the way, so he grabbed you, and--and then he--he was obsessed with you, and I actually tried to convince him to let you go, but he wouldn't. Melanie, I've tried to tell you so many times. And I still don't think that I can live with what I did, but I know that-- I know that there's maybe a chance, you know, if I tell you the whole truth first. I'm so sorry, Melanie.

Melanie: You're sorry? That's all you've got?

Gabi: I don't know what else to say.

Melanie: I was your friend. I was worried about you. I'm the one that talked Chad into letting you live with us!

Gabi: I know, and I--

Melanie: Get out! Do not make me ask you again. Get out. Gabi, get out of here right now. [Laughs]

Chad: Y-you okay?

Melanie: [Exhales] Why didn't you want-- why didn't you want her to tell me?

Chad: What?

Melanie: When she was talking, you kept trying to get her to be quiet.

Chad: Because I-I knew she was just gonna upset you.

Melanie: You knew. You knew what Gabi was going to say. You knew, and you never told me.

Gabi: You ready to go?

Nick: Whoa. Why do you look worse than me?

Gabi: I'm okay.

Nick: What kind of errand did you run?

Gabi: Kayla said that you could go home, so you ready? Don't you wanna get out of here?

Nick: Yeah.

Gabi: Okay, cool. Uh, I'll bring the car up to the door. Do you want to go to the pub or--or to your house?

Nick: Uh... I don't want Mrs. Brady to see me like this or aunt Maggie.

Gabi: We could probably go to the mansion and--and we could sneak up to your room, and no one has to know.

Nick: Sounds good.

Gabi: Nick, I mean, unless you're planning on staying in your room for days, they're--they're gonna see that you've--

Nick: I had an accident. I mean, once the swelling goes down, it'll just look like a bunch of cuts, right?

Gabi: Yeah. Yeah, sure. Uh, here. This is for you. It's a prescription for some pain medication. It should be non-narcotic so that it won't affect you, and so you need to take something.

Nick: No, um, I won't. [Sniffs]

Gabi: Nick, I'm sure they're fine. I mean, she wouldn't--she wouldn't give you something she knows you couldn't take.

Nick: I know, but I don't want to take anything. Um, I'll be fine. [Groans] [Sighs heavily]

Chad: Okay. Yes, I-I knew what Gabi did.

Melanie: When did you find out?

Chad: I was there when Andrew died. And I-I had come looking for you, and--and he was talking to Gabi.

Melanie: At the hospital. Like, weeks ago.

Chad: You had been held hostage. You'd gone through explosions and--and god knows what else.

Melanie: So you had known for weeks, and you didn't say anything.

Chad: Look. I didn't want to ups--

Melanie: Don't say-- I swear, if you say that word--

Chad: Look, you were traumatized, Mel, and right away, Nick's parole came up, and then that's all we could think about.

Melanie: When were you gonna tell me?

Chad: I don't know. A-Andrew died. He-- he couldn't hurt you anymore.

Melanie: But Gabi could. [Laughs] I asked her to be in my wedding.

Chad: Look, I-I tried to stop that, okay? I-I tried to keep her away from you.

Melanie: So that's why she didn't answer any of my phone calls--because you were threatening her.

Chad: Well, after what she did to you, that's the least she deserved.

Melanie: So what was your plan? You were just gonna keep threatening her for the rest of our lives, and that was supposed to make it better, Chad?

Chad: Do you want her in your life?

Melanie: No, of course not! But you know what? That's my decision to make. You can't treat me like some wounded bird that's gonna self-destruct if you're not there to take over!

Chad: I don't think that, okay?

Melanie: What do you think you've been doing?

Chad: Look, it's not a takeover if I'm just helping you!

Melanie: You almost killed Nick.

Chad: She blew that way out of proportion.

Melanie: You know what? It sounds to me like Gabi is the only person that has told the truth. [Scoffs]

Chad: Whoa, whoa, Mel. Melanie, what--where are you--

Melanie: Don't.

Chad: No, no, just look. Look, this isn't what you-- what?

Melanie: [Laughs] Oh, my... [Sobbing]

Rafe: Are you glad about me and Nicole 'cause you think that we're... uh, you know, together?

Sami: Um--

Rafe: 'Cause we're not.

Sami: Oh. Well, that's nice to hear you say. No, I-I'm--you know, I mean, the truth is, as long as she has that baby, I will not wish an anvil to fall on her head.

Rafe: [Laughs] Oh, wow. That's good of you.

Sami: I'm trying, okay? The best I can here.

Rafe: Hmm.

Sami: And I know that I have been a little bit... bratty about Nicole and a lot about Carrie. And I totally get it if, you know, you're getting even with me. It's just--

Rafe: That's not why any of that happened.

Sami: Right, of course. But even if it were, I'm just saying you'd be totally justified. That's probably what I would do. But you know what? I just want you to know I'm-- I'm really happy for you about the baby. And a boy-- [Laughs] You must be so excited.

Rafe: How did you know that it's a boy?

Sami: Nicole. But we don't have to talk about her. I mean, I just-- I just think it's amazing, you know. You're--you're a great dad. And you are gonna be great with this baby.

Rafe: You don't have to say that.

Sami: I want to. You have been amazing with my kids, and I hope I'm as good with yours.

Rafe: Okay, Sami, just stop because there's something important you need to hear. Something I have to tell you. Ah.

Sami: Rafe, you don't have to say anything.

Rafe: No, listen. Yeah, I do.

Sami: Y-you really don't. Look, I totally get it. I know where you're going. I'm not jumping to conclusions here. I'm totally not assuming anything between us. I mean, I-I-I just meant that if you're not living with Nicole, um, and, you know, you're gonna want to help with the baby-- I know you will-- um, I just wanted to offer that I could help out, you know. Keep you company or something.

Rafe: Oh, man.

Sami: And, um, look. I have experience being a single parent. I totally relate to that, and I also know what it's like when the other parent is totally a psycho nut job control freak. I know what that feels like too.

Rafe: We--we're talking about EJ now?

Sami: Yeah, yeah. I mean, I--past tense-- I told him he's, um, out of the picture.

Rafe: Oh.

Sami: Yeah. I mean, um, I told him yesterday that, uh... whatever he thinks, nothing is going to happen between us, and the only relationship he and I are gonna have is as the father to Sydney and Johnny, just like you're going to have a relationship with Nicole with the baby. Um, and by the way, I'm--I'm so excited. That's all I meant, is I'm excited to help you with the baby, and I can't wait to meet him.

Rafe: Boy, you-- you just--you-- just a constant surprise to me right now. I have to--

Sami: I hope that's a good thing.

Rafe: Yeah, well.

Sami: Well, you have to say something.

Rafe: You--you want me to talk now?

Sami: Yes. Please, 'cause otherwise, I will keep talking.

Rafe: Did you really tell EJ to get lost?

Sami: I mean, not in so many words. But I had to be honest. And the truth is, when I-I look at him... and then being here with you... the way I feel, it... doesn't compare.

[Knock at door]

Jennifer: Oh, gosh.

Maxine: Oh, I'm sorry.

Jennifer: That's okay. [Laughs] What's up?

Maxine: Did you send a print job to the nurses' station?

Jennifer: Yeah. Is it done?

Maxine: Almost. It's a list of DNA labs in this state. Is that what you printed?

Jennifer: Uh, I-I don't know. I mean, I was looking up a bunch of different web pages. That may have been part of it.

Maxine: Okay, well, are those pages trash? You want me to recycle them?

Jennifer: No. I need to, uh, take a look at them, just in case there's anything there that I--that I need.

Maxine: Okay. Mm, they are right over there.

Jennifer: Okay, thank you, Maxine.

Maxine: You're welcome.

Jennifer: Okay. Oh!

Daniel: Oh, my gosh! I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, I-I wasn't looking.

Jennifer: No, I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going. I apologize. I'm sorry.

Daniel: Sorry. You dropped something here.

Jennifer: No, that's all right, I'll--let me just--

Daniel: What, uh--wow. What is this right here?

Daniel: Yeah, papers with stuff that-- what do you think you're doing?

Maggie: Nick, my god! Look at you.

Nick: It's okay, aunt Maggie. It's okay.

Maggie: What happened?

Nick: I fell.

Maggie: Off a rooftop?

Nick: [Sighs] No, I just-- just--I was behind the Brady pub, and I-I fell.

Maggie: Into a pile of rocks because that's what it would take to do this.

Nick: Well, you'd be surprised. I'm really clumsy.

Maggie: Nick, really? Are you gonna just stand there and lie to my face? Who did this?

Nick: [Sighs]

Maggie: Nick, you're on parole, and fighting like this--

Gabi: No, actually, he did not fight back at all. He would--he wouldn't.

Maggie: So you saw the fight?

Nick: Okay, you know what? Really, honestly, I just--I need to go upstairs, and I need to rest.

Maggie: Gabi, who did this?

Nick: Aunt Maggie, please, just leave it.

Maggie: No. No. There is someone out there that would hurt you, and you didn't do anything to them? Then you need protection. And I don't care whether you're on parole or not. So who is it? Who would do something like that? Chad? Oh, god, it was him. Nick. Does Melanie know?

Gabi: Uh, Chad's with her at her dad's house right now.

Maggie: Oh, no. Honey, are you gonna be all right?

Nick: Yeah. I'm gonna be fine. Don't worry.

Maggie: Okay. Henderson will take you upstairs, okay? I've got to go. Gabi, thank you for helping.

Gabi: It was nothing.

Maggie: Oh.

Nick: It wasn't. Nothing.

Gabi: Hey, um, I'm sorry if I said something to get you in trouble or--

Nick: It's all right. You didn't. You're too good of a person. You know that?

Melanie: It's not gonna work.

Chad: Mel, you were missing, and I couldn't find you.

Melanie: It's a stain. You can't just rub it out. It doesn't just go away.

Chad: I thought Nick had grabbed you, Mel, and I was...

Melanie: Are you crazy?

Chad: Scared. I was really scared for you, and I'm not gonna let anyone terrorize you.

Melanie: This has to stop. This has to stop.

Chad: I-I know what you went through, Melanie, okay? I read the articles.

Melanie: What?

Chad: Back when--when you wouldn't talk to me about Nick, I read the articles. I-I know exactly what happened to you, and I'm not gonna let anything like that ever happen to you again.

Melanie: Nick wasn't the one that hurt me tonight. Nick didn't hurt me.

Chad: This time.

Melanie: This time, actually, you're the one that did.

Chad: No. No.

Melanie: You sound like them. Do you know that? Like all the stalkers. Trying to protect me. Trying to make sure I'm safe. Trying to keep me.

Chad: [Stammers] You're not being fair right now.

Melanie: Of course it's not fair.

Chad: How could you e-- I-I would n-never lock you up. How--how could you-- how the hell could you say that about me? I-I love you, Melanie, and all-- all I'm trying to do is just keep you--

Melanie: [Sobbing] Keep... me. Gabi was right, huh? If she hadn't shown up, you would've killed Nick.

Chad: [Stammers] You're just angry right now, okay? And I understand why. But, honey, this--this is--

Melanie: Please just... don't touch me.

Rafe: Okay. That's... it's good to know.

Sami: Rafe, I just-- I just told you that, um, what I f-- what's going on with me and him versus what-- what I feel here, I mean, I--

Rafe: Did you--did you want dessert?

Sami: No. No, thanks.

Rafe: We should get the check then.

Jennifer: I don't know what's bothering you.

Daniel: That list? DNA labs?

Jennifer: Blood labs. We're coming up short on blood donor donations. I'm sure you heard.

Daniel: Yeah, yeah, I saw that in my day shift today.

Jennifer: Right, so I thought I would connect with the other labs in the state and maybe brainstorm and come up with an idea--

Daniel: You know what? I only saw testing labs on those pages, and they don't keep blood supplies.

Jennifer: Well, then you just saw part of the list. You see, because when you type in "blood labs," a lot of things come up on the search, but I can assure you, I am contacting the correct people.

Daniel: Really? For what, Jenn?

Jennifer: You want to do my job for me?

Daniel: I don't want you to get hurt.

Jennifer: Oh, I'm not going to get hurt.

Daniel: Okay, you hear EJ tell his lawyer that he still believes that Nicole's baby is his and that he's gonna push for a DNA test. In the same day, I just see you with a list of DNA labs. Come on, what am I supposed to think? Help me out here.

Jennifer: I told you, Daniel.

Daniel: You know what? I think maybe you're on to something. I don't know. But you need to stay out. I mean it. Don't get involved. There's nothing you can do, and you shouldn't.

Jennifer: Hmm. I don't know what you're talking about.

[Phone beeps]

Daniel: Jenn-- [Groans] It's a message from Maggie. I gotta get this. Okay, promise me, Jenn, promise me you are not gonna get involved. In any way.

Jennifer: Just doing my job.

Daniel: It's EJ. There is no telling what he would do to anyone who gets in his way, anyone.

Jennifer: Really. Then you should heed your own advice because he's coming for you.

Daniel: Do nothing else, please. Are you hearing me?

Jennifer: Mm-hmm. I'm hearing you loud and clear.

[Phone rings]

Daniel: [Groans] I--ugh. Yeah. Agh.

Chad: Mel, come on, baby. It--it's me.

Melanie: I know.

Chad: Do you?

Melanie: [Sobbing] I just don't know what that means anymore.

Chad: Don't talk like that, okay? This is just a bad day, okay? Y-you want to take a step back? You--you want to take a breath? We--we can do that, okay? Tomorrow we'll just--

Melanie: No.

Chad: No? No what? Look, we gotta--we had-- we can work this out, okay?

Melanie: He was just... leaving.

Maggie: Honey...

Melanie: [Sobbing]

Maggie: Tell me what happened.

Melanie: [Sobbing loudly] It's over.

Maggie: Honey, come on.

Jennifer: No.

Melanie: [Sobbing]

[Door shuts]

Daniel: It's okay.

[Door opens]

Chad: [Crying]

Gabi: You need to go upstairs, and you need to rest.

Nick: Uh, in a minute. You went over to Melanie's tonight. Didn't you? That was the-- the quick errand. That's how you knew Chad was there. Because of me?

Gabi: Yeah, but not in the way that you think.

Nick: Did you tell her about the fight?

Gabi: Yeah. Look, Chad's a thug, and Melanie needed to hear it. You--you were saying that-- that we needed to take responsibility for the things that we've done and how that makes us free.

Nick: Yeah.

Gabi: Well, I've been a really rotten person, and I needed to own up to it.

Nick: Get out.

Gabi: No, seriously.

Nick: [Laughs] I seriously doubt that.

Gabi: You'd be surprised.

Nick: Yeah. I would be. But it doesn't matter.

Gabi: Of course it matters, Nick.

Nick: We're all of it, Gabi. Everything we do. And to me... you're a guardian angel.

Rafe: I've got to-- to, uh, check in with the station.

Sami: Oh.

Rafe: But I'm sure you're busy too. Right?

Sami: Oh, no, actually. My mom has the kids tonight.

Rafe: Oh.

Sami: I didn't mean that.

Rafe: No, no, no, I know.

Sami: I mean, I didn't mean it the way it sounded, you know, like that we have the apartment all to ourselves.

Rafe: I get it.

Sami: I just meant that I'm not busy. You know, I'm totally free.

Rafe: Well, enjoy it.

Sami: [Laughs] I will. Thanks.

Rafe: Yeah.

Sami: Um, good night.

Rafe: Night.

Sami: And, uh, um-- and thank you. I had a really nice time tonight.

Rafe: Me too.

Sami: See ya.
