Chad: Okay, I've got more flyers. Let's go. Let's do this.

Gabi: Okay, okay, Chad, stop. Look, we've been at this for hours. I mean, we've hit every corner in Salem. You need to take a break.

Chad: Okay, so we're gonna go to Brookville. All right, I'm not gonna just sit here and do nothing. Okay, Gabi? I gotta find her.

Gabi: Chad, you are gonna do Melanie no good if you just collapse from exhaustion.

Sonny: Hey. We just put all the flyers up that you gave us.

Abigail: What's next?

Gabi: What's next is that you guys need to back me up on this. Chad needs to take a break.

Cameron: Have you eaten anything today?

Chad: No, I--you know what? It doesn't matter, okay?

Cameron: Well, you're probably a little dehydrated too. You just need to take a minute, sit down at the cafe--

Chad: Yeah, I'm not gonna take the time to do that.

Abigail: Chad, if you're gonna keep searching for Melanie, then your body needs fuel, okay? Come on, we already put up all the flyers.

Sonny: There's really not anything else we can do right now.

Chad: Fine, okay. Just a few minutes. All right. But I'm telling you, okay? It doesn't matter. I'm gonna find Melanie. And when I do, I'm gonna destroy whoever's responsible.

Gabi: Andrew? Andrew? Andrew, are you here? Andrew? Andrew? Oh, my God. They're gone. [Sighs] "I've still got Melanie. I'm gonna keep her someplace where no one will ever find her." Oh, my God, Melanie. What have I done?

Mrs. Perez: My poor sister must be rolling in her grave.

Hope: Mrs. Perez, it's not your fault.

Mrs. Perez: But George seemed so nice when he filled out the application and signed the lease for her house. Not a smoker, no pets, always paid his rent on time. Are you sure he really kidnapped someone?

Bo: Yeah, it looks that way. And you're the one who could help us find him. Is this the information we asked for?

Mrs. Perez: Yes, here you go.

Hope: Thank you. George Compton. And here's his social security number. I'll go call it into the station here and run it and see what turns up. Thank you.

Bo: Would you have a seat? All right, you describe George as late-20‘s, light brown hair, good-looking. Anything else you can add to this?

Mrs. Perez: I'm sorry, Detective Brady, that's all I can remember. He always mailed his check in. I haven't seen him in months. Do you think he might harm that young girl? Is he dangerous?

Bo: For Melanie's sake, let's hope he's not dangerous.

Melanie: [Crying] How much longer do we have to stay down here?

Andrew: Look, I'm trying to find a new place for us. It's just not easy now that everybody's caught on to the fact that you're missing. But I just have to be very careful.

Melanie: Okay, but-- but I don't wanna be down here anymore. It's dark. I can't even see your face.

Andrew: Why would you care about that?

Melanie: 'Cause I'm scared.

Andrew: Don't be.

Melanie: What about the gas leak?

Andrew: Look, I'm sorry. Okay, I am sorry that this has all taken so long. Hopefully that'll make you feel better.

Melanie: What is that?

Andrew: It's a gift. It's from me to you.

Melanie: A bear?

Andrew: Yeah. Look, I remember that you said it was your favorite stuffed animal as a kid... when you were in Paris and that Trent guy was so mean to you.

Melanie: You remembered I said that? I can't believe you listened to everything I said.

Andrew: Of course. I'm interested in everything about you.

Sami: [Sighs]

EJ: It's there, Samantha... this irresistible pull that is between us. Deny it. I dare you. You can't any more than I can.

Sami: I don't feel anything for you.

EJ: You're a liar... and not a very good one.

Sami: What-- what are you--

EJ: Don't deny it, Samantha. There's something between us, whether you like it or not.

Sami: [Sighs]

EJ: Surprised you're still here.

Sami: I've got a lot of work to do.

EJ: Wait a second. That's my laptop. What do you think you're doing?

Sami: EJ, I am trying to save your life.

Rafe: Hey, sorry to keep you waiting.

Lucas: It's all right.

Rafe: So there's something you wanna show me?

Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, I think I got it all figured out. EJ's real motive for taking Stefano down, it's all right here.

Rafe: Is that right?

Lucas: Oh, yeah.

Rafe: All right.

Lucas: Get your arrest warrant ready. You might wanna add fraud to your list of charges while you're at it.

Rafe: Fraud, huh?

Lucas: Oh, yeah. Take a look.

Rafe: What? EJ's not Stefano's son?

Lucas: Nope.

Rafe: Are you serious?

Lucas: All right, that letter was written by my Grandmother Alice Horton. She would not lie about something like that.

Rafe: Yeah, how did she know?

Lucas: Well, it says so further down in the letter if you just continue to read it.

Rafe: How the hell did you get ahold of this?

Will: My dad stole it from me.

Rafe: Okay. Okay, and how did you get ahold of it, Will?

Will: I found it at the mansion.

Rafe: Found it? You realize how huge this is. If EJ's not his son, this changes everything.

Lucas: I know, exactly.

Rafe: Well, now I guess we know why Stefano was about to disinherit him.

Lucas: That's why EJ was desperate to stop him.

Rafe: This could be the final nail in EJ's coffin.

Roman: Damn. I can't get my head around this. Alice Horton knew the truth when Stefano and EJ didn't?

Spencer: Now assuming the claim made in this letter is true, the question becomes: When did EJ know about it?

Will: I don't think ever read it. Because I found it in a secret compartment of the DiMera mansion. And Stefano was the one who put it there, probably.

Lucas: No, I think my son is covering for EJ again.

Roman: I agree with you. I think it was Alice's letter that was in that safe deposit box that Bo and Hope opened with Stefano. This is all starting to make sense.

Spencer: How so?

Roman: Bo and Hope gave him that envelope months ago. So Stefano had to find out that EJ was not his son, decided to cut him out of the will because of it. Somehow EJ finds out about the letter and Stefano's plans, kills him before he can execute the new will.

Spencer: Yeah, it's a nice theory, but it still doesn't prove that EJ knew.

Rafe: Oh, come on. You saw EJ's reaction when he was taking that polygraph test. When they asked if Stefano was his father, he freaked out.

Roman: Yeah. You know, we'll test that letter for EJ's fingerprints. That should prove he saw it.

Rafe: In the meantime, we should verify that Stefano and EJ aren't actually related.

Spencer: We could use EJ's DNA from the gloves.

Rafe: We could. I think there's a faster way though. Why don't we check their blood types and see if they're even compatible?

Roman: That's a good idea. All right, I'll check with the hospital. I'm sure their blood types are on file.

Lucas: Thanks, guys, for all your hard work.

Rafe: Yeah.

Lucas: Thank you.

[Glass shattering]

Will: How could you do that, Dad? How can you betray me like that?

Sami: Oh.

EJ: What are you talking about?

Sami: I wanted to leave. Believe me, I did. But then I heard your email alert. So I thought maybe it was an email about, you know, answering the questions about all of the surveillance footage. And surprise, surprise, I was right.

EJ: So you thought you would just hack into my computer. Why didn't you come and get me?

Sami: After the conversation we just had, I wasn't exactly in the mood.

EJ: You weren't exactly in the mood to leave though, were you?

Sami: Don't start, okay? You know why I'm doing this.

EJ: Right. So...find anything?

Sami: Not yet. I just started looking. But this could be it. This could prove that you're being set up.

EJ: Yes, but, Samantha, that does not prove that I'm innocent.

Sami: It's enough. It's enough for reasonable doubt.

EJ: Okay, I need to find out who killed my father. This could have the answers.

Sonny: So the police are pretty sure that Melanie's kidnapper is the same guy who was stalking Gabi?

Chad: Why else would that creep have Gabi's phone number?

Gabi: Oh, just knowing that freaks me out, ugh.

Sonny: No, you should really get a new phone number.

Gabi: Yeah.

Abigail: But you know, if the kidnapper was Gabi's stalker, why would he leave Gabi at the house after he knocked her out? If she was his real target, then why would he take Melanie instead?

Gabi: Well, maybe that's because he could only take one, and he thought maybe Melanie could I.D. him.

Abigail: No, I still don't even understand. It doesn't make any sense why he would even kidnap Melanie in the first place. Why wouldn't he kidnap you? You were the one that he was obsessed with.

Gabi: Why are you asking me, Abigail? Okay, how do I know what this wackjob is thinking?

Abigail: I'm sorry, Gabi. I didn't mean to upset you.

Cameron: None of us wanna do that. We're all just trying to put the pieces together, track this guy down, so we can find Melanie as fast as we can.

Gabi: I know. Melanie and I are very lucky to have such good friends.

Abigail: There's just something really strange about this. It just doesn't make sense.

Hope: Hey, where's Mrs. Perez?

Bo: Oh, I sent her home, told her to call us if she remembered anything. What'd you find out?

Hope: Well, they ran the name and social through the database. And it looks like George Compton was a law-abiding citizen his entire life. That is, until he died two years ago at the age of 92.

Bo: Oh, great. So our kidnapper is using a stolen identity.

Hope: Exactly.

Bo: This is--[Scoffs] Well, at least we still have the prints to go off of.

Hope: Well, the database is still searching for a match.

Bo: Damn. We need to come up with some kind of lead, like, yesterday. Melanie's been missing a long time. The longer she's out there--

Hope: The less likely it is we'll find her alive, Brady.

Melanie: That was very sweet of you to give me this bear.

Andrew: Are you feeling better?

Melanie: Yeah.

Andrew: Just, you know-- just try and focus on him when you're feeling scared.

Melanie: Okay. You just listened to everything I said. Makes me realize that was something Chad never really did.

Andrew: Why would you say that? I just--I thought you were so in love with him. You seemed so wrecked when, uh, you had to leave him behind.

Melanie: Right. But relationships aren't always, you know, what they seem. I've had a lot of time to think about me and Chad.

Andrew: And?

Melanie: Things weren't as-- as great as I thought they were.

Andrew: What are you saying?

Melanie: Shouldn't he have figured out I was missing sooner?

Andrew: You know, if you were my girlfriend, I never would have let you disappear for a day.

Melanie: That email that you sent everyone saying I was visiting my mom-- didn't he even call her to check in on me and see how I was doing? I don't think he ever really loved me. I think you know me better than he ever did.

EJ: This is mind-numbingly boring.

Sami: Certainly not gonna get a lot of hits online.

EJ: Don't feel you have to stay. I'm sure Lucas would be none too pleased if he walked in and saw the two of us sitting here.

Sami: He's gonna have to understand. I'm doing it for the kids.

EJ: Right.

Sami: And you know, two pairs of eyes, better than one.

EJ: [Sighs] You're still miffed at me because of that conversation we had earlier, aren't you?

Sami: You mean the one about our so-called chemistry? It just seemed very calculated to me.

EJ: I can assure you there was absolutely nothing calculated about it.

Sami: Stop it. Okay, just stop. Can we focus here on keeping you and Will out of prison? [Sighs]

EJ: Yes, we can.

Will: I can't believe that you did that, Dad. You had no right to go through my things.

Lucas: Will, I found the letter by accident. The next time you have something so confidential, don't just let it fall out of your back pock--

Will: You shoulda talked to me about it first, instead of taking it to the police, Dad. That was a total betrayal!

Lucas: It wasn't betrayal. I was protecting you. You have been in way over your head ever since you started--

Will: Hey, can you stop saying that?

Lucas: It's the damn truth. What do you want me to do? Stand by and watch you ruin your life?

Will: Dad, how many times did I tell you? Seriously, how many times did I tell you that I had it under control?

Lucas: You were cocky because you were blackmailing EJ with the letter. That's why you didn't hand it over to the police, right? The letter is why things were gonna be different with EJ this time.

Will: [Chuckles]

Lucas: You have no idea. You have no idea what kind of dangerous game you've been playing.

Will: You know what? It was going fine until you stepped in, and you ruined everything.

Sonny: So what I'm thinking is that Melanie must have somehow figured out who your stalker was. Right, and then maybe he was gonna do something bad to you and she caught him.

Chad: Wow. I think you might be on to something, Sonny. Gabi, is there anything at all you remember about this guy? Anything?

Gabi: Well, Chad, you know that I didn't get a good look at him.

Abigail: Come on, Gabi. There must be something. Think really hard. Melanie's life could depend on this.

Gabi: I can't remember anything, okay? I swear. I mean, if I knew something, I would tell you guys.

Abigail: What about the doll that the stalker gave you? Where is it?

Gabi: I threw it away.

Abigail: You-- why--why would you do that, Gabi? It coulda been used as evidence.

Gabi: I didn't want it around, okay? It freaked me out. Are you serious with me right now? This is so unfair. You know, you guys are acting like this is all my fault and it's not.

Melanie: Maybe the-- the place you find for us will be warmer and sunny... and we can stay there together.

Andrew: It is a beautiful day. But I'm sorry. We can't. We can't risk it. No, this is--this is the best place for us.

[Overhead rumbling]

Melanie: Hey, whoa. Watch out. Hey, come here! Oh, my God. We have to get out of here now. This whole place is gonna cave in. Please!

Lucas: Just calm down. All right, Will?

Will: No, Dad. Who do you think you are trying to--trying to control my life? I expected that from mom. I didn't expect it from you.

Lucas: You know, I am your father, and this isn't about you. This is about me protecting our family from EJ. Now, if he did kill Stefano, do you really want your brother and sister anywhere near that guy?

Will: He didn't do it, Dad.

Lucas: How do you know that? Do you have proof of that? Or were you just going on his word? Because we all know what that's worth. His fingerprints were all over the murder weapon.

Will: Yeah, so were mine. So were a lot of peoples.

Lucas: It doesn't matter. You had an alibi and EJ didn't. He failed the lie detector test. The evidence is piling up against him.

Will: [Scoffs]

Lucas: And even if he didn't do it--even if he didn't kill Stefano, he's lying about who he is. That has to come out. Is it what, because you think you're gonna lose your job and your money and your apartment and your car?

Will: No, no!

Lucas: Then it's the power. The power that you have over EJ, right? Will, you're not thinking clearly. If you were, you would've turned over this information a long time ago to the police. But you didn't.

Will: You still owed me a heads up about what you were gonna do. Why didn't you just talk to me like an adult? Instead, you treated me like a kid you found hiding a stolen pack of cigarettes.

Lucas: That is not what I was doing, come on.

Will: Really?

Lucas: Yeah, really.

Will: Then what were you doing, Dad? I thought we had a better relationship than this. I mean, I-- I thought that you trusted me.

Lucas: I did. I did trust you... until EJ started having a big influence on your life. You let all that power go to your head.

Will: So you don't like the way EJ's been influencing my life?

Lucas: No, I don't.

Will: Where were you? Why haven't you been here to influence my life? Did you ever think that when you were in Hong Kong--I mean, halfway around the world with your girlfriend that maybe your son needed you? Did you think about that, Dad? Because, you know, I did. I needed you.

Lucas: I'm sorry. All right, I screwed up. I'm sorry. I'm human. I made a mistake.

Will: Yeah, you're damn right you did, Dad. You know what? It's--it's really too late for you to drop in and for you to pass judgment on me.

Lucas: I'm not doing that.

Will: Yes, you are. For the decisions that I had to make because you weren't here. Why didn't you just stay in Hong Kong, man? I-I wish you stayed in Hong Kong and you never came back.

Roman: I don't know what's taking that hospital so long.

Rafe: Agent Spencer, are you beginning to lean towards EJ now?

Spencer: Well, all the evidence is beginning to add up. The failed polygraph, the gloves, the bullets. It's hard not to.

Rafe: Yeah, I hear you. But my gut's telling me something's not right.

[Phone ringing]

Roman: Yeah? Commissioner Brady here. Got the results? All right. Okay. Thank you.

Rafe: Well, don't keep us in suspense here.

Roman: Stefano and EJ's blood types are not compatible. Alice Horton was right. There's no way they can be father and son.

Sami: Are you sure that's the right date, the right time?

EJ: That's definitely the right date. I'm not quite sure what time I dropped the gloves.

Sami: What about that alley? Is that--is that the right alley with the trash can? That's the one?

EJ: Be quiet, please. I'm trying to concentrate. I wouldn't want to miss anything.

Sami: Stop it. You know, I want you to know, I-I really hope we find the proof we need, the proof that you didn't do it... for the kids.

EJ: For the kids?

Sami: There you are! That's you.

EJ: Oh, my goodness.

Sami: Oh, my God. Okay. Oh, EJ.

EJ: Okay.

Sami: Okay, so you're throwing the gloves away, okay.

EJ: Boom.

Sami: Now what? I mean, we don't even know how long it took for the other person, I mean--

EJ: Oh, no, no, no, look.

Sami: There he is. He's taking your gloves out of the trash. We have it, clear as day. But who is that? Okay, go back. Maybe it's right-- we can get a freeze-frame.

EJ: Okay. There, there.

Hope: You okay?

Bo: Eh.

Hope: I know. Every time we get a case like this, can't help letting it get to you.

Bo: Yeah, 'cause we've been there. With Melanie, I don't know, I kinda feel responsible.

Hope: Why?

Bo: Well, I told Carly that I'd keep an eye on her daughter while she was away. And I feel like I let the doc down too.

Hope: No, no, no.

Bo: After everything he's done for me--

Hope: Brady, there is nothing you could've done to prevent this. But what we can do is work as hard as we can to bring her home. And I'm with you every step of the way.

Bo: I know you are.

Abigail: Gabi, I wasn't saying that any of this is your fault, okay? But it is so important that you try to remember anything, anything at all about your stalker. He attacked you twice. How can you remember nothing? I mean, Gabi, Melanie's life is in your hands.

Gabi: Oh, wait, you do. You do blame me for this. I-I can see it in your eyes. I mean, all of you, you-- you blame me for this just because I didn't go to the police in the first place when my stalker was attacking me.

Sonny: Gabi, just please--

Gabi: No, no, I never wanted Melanie to get hurt. I never wanted her to get kidnapped.

Chad: Why'd you have to push her so damn hard, huh?

Abigail: Chad--

Chad: Jeez, come on. Come on.

Cameron: It's okay.

Bo: Well?

Hope: That was the station. They've got a match. The prints off the note and from the house belong to Corey Olivieri. Arrested at 18, sent to a mental institution in Boston for treatment. He escaped last year.

Bo: Ah, great. This just gets better and better. We're dealing with somebody who's mentally unstable.

Hope: Which means he's capable of just about anything.

Roman: Well, EJ maintained all along he didn't kill his father.

Spencer: Leave it to a lawyer to try and skate on semantics.

Rafe: EJ's prints were all over Alice's letter. Well, he definitely knew he was not Stefano's son.

Roman: Well, you know what, gentleman? I think it is time to go arrest that lying son of a bitch.

Lucas: This isn't easy for a father to admit to his son. But you're right. You're 100% right. I should have been here for you, and--and I wasn't. But I am here now. And I'm here to tell you that EJ is bad news, man. He's a murderer. You need to--

Will: No, you're wrong, Dad. Oh, Grandpa. Hey, what's going on?

Roman: No, got no time for questions right now.

Will: Are you gonna arrest EJ? Okay, I'll--

Roman: Hey! No! You come back here, all right? You don't talk to EJ. Give me your cell phone. Give it to me.

Will: Oh, come on.

Roman: Give it to me! All right. I'm gonna have an officer stay here with you.

Lucas: You don't need to do that. I'll stay here with him.

Roman: All right. But you don't go anywhere till I get back.

Lucas: Deal.

EJ: Samantha, we've watched this footage a dozen times. You can't tell if it's a man or a woman. I mean, Little Red Riding Hood could've come and taken the gloves out of the trash for all we know.

Sami: Well, it's a step in the right direction. It proves that someone is setting us up.

EJ: Us?

Sami: You, I mean, obviously. I'm just trying to help you here. And--and I think "us" is, you know, all of us, your kids and everything, right?

EJ: Yes, I know. You've said that several times. Thank you. I'm sorry. Samantha, look, it means a tremendous amount to me that you are on my side. Thank you.

Sami: You know, this is enough. I think we should just get the police involved. We could take this to them--

EJ: Samantha, put that telephone back down.

Abigail: [Sighs] Do you guys think that I pushed Gabi too hard?

Cameron: Don't worry about it. You were just trying to help Melanie.

Sonny: She's gotta know something, right?

Abigail: I don't know.

Sonny: Do you guys smell that? Smells like--smells like gas.

Cameron: [Sniffing] No.

Sonny: I'll go check the cafe, make sure there's not, like, a leak in the kitchen or something.

Abigail: You think it's that serious?

Sonny: They better take care of it now, before it gets serious, yeah.

Cameron: Yeah.

Sonny: I'll see you guys in a little bit.

Cameron: All right.

Abigail: Tell me the truth. Was I really that rough on Gabi before? I know that she's a victim too. I swear, I didn't mean to push her so hard. I just--

Cameron: Abby, what is it?

Abigail: I'm scared. I'm really scared about Melanie. I hate to even think about what she could be going through right now.

Cameron: Talk to me about her. What is she like?

Abigail: Um-- she's, uh-- she's smart and, um-- she's beautiful and funny. She's pretty feisty too.

Cameron: Like you? [Chuckles]

Abigail: I don't feel that way right now.

Cameron: Come here.

Gabi: Chad, do you really think that it-- that I'm to blame for Melanie being kidnapped?

Chad: Of course not. No, no, no, I don't.

Gabi: But you think that I could've prevented it. I know. And I took it too far. Look, I just want you to know that I really did not want Melanie to get hurt.

Chad: I totally understand. I get it.

Gabi: No, but the thing is, Chad, that--that I--

Chad: What is it?

Hope: Gabi, Chad, I'm so glad we found you.

Chad: Did you find Melanie?

Bo: No, not yet. But we got the prints off that note and we do know the identity of the kidnapper. Do you recognize this guy? I mean, could he be the one who was stalking you?

Gabi: Uh, Corey Olivieri? No, I'm sorry. I don't know that name.

Hope: Gabi, take your time. Really look at his face. Is anything familiar, anything at all?

Gabi: No, I don't know who this is.

Chad: The name doesn't sound familiar to me either. Can I see it? Oh, my God. I know him. I know who this person is.

Will: Wonder if they arrested EJ by now. He's probably gonna think I betrayed him.

Lucas: Who cares what he thinks? Doesn't matter.

[Phone ringing]

Lucas: This is a business call. I have to take it really quick. Just give me a second, okay? Yeah, Lucas Horton. No, no, hold on, let me grab a pen and I'll get it. Yeah, go ahead. No, just tell him to check the invoices. That's all he's gotta do is just backtrack a little. Yeah, it-- damn it.

EJ: Samantha, we are not going to the police until we consider all of our options-- thank you--and think this through. We have a much stronger case if we can actually identify this person who's setting me up.

Sami: I disagree. I don't think that matters. Come on, EJ, the video proves that someone is messing with evidence. That's enough for reasonable doubt. That's enough to keep the police investigating.

EJ: Samantha, the Salem Police Department are anything but reasonable.

Sami: Well, my dad may hate you, but he is a good cop.

EJ: Samantha, your father and Rafe would sell me down the river if they were given half a chance.

[Doorbell rings]

EJ: Gentlemen.

Rafe: You're under arrest for the murder of Stefano DiMera.

EJ: Let's just get on with this, shall we?

Melanie: Look, I'm not kidding. We have to get out of here. Please.

Andrew: No, look, we're fine. Okay, it was probably just a heavy truck.

Melanie: No, it wasn't. We have to get away from here.

Andrew: Listen to me. I'm sorry, but we are staying put.

Melanie: Please, look, it's more dangerous than I thought. I'm not just worried about myself. I'm worried about you too. I don't want you to die.

Andrew: No, you're overreacting, okay? It was just a little bit of dirt. Thank you. I appreciate you pulling me out of the way. You really care about me.

Melanie: Yes. Yes, and I'm not just worried about this whole place caving in. There's a gas leak too. The longer we stay down here, the worse it's gonna be. Look, I'm a nurse, and my job is to help people, and I'm trying to help people. We have to get out of here now!

Abigail: Hey, what's going on?

Sonny: Is there any news on Melanie?

Chad: This is the guy who kidnapped Melanie. All right, I know him from work. Gabi, don't you remember this guy? Wasn't he a photographer's assistant at one of the Countess W shoots we did?

Gabi: Uh, I mean, yeah. Now that you mention it like that, maybe he does look a little familiar. I'm not sure.

Chad: He mostly worked in the darkroom.

Hope: Would Melanie ever have met him?

Chad: I doubt it. I don't think he went by "Corey." It was--it was an "A" name. It was Adam--and--Andrew. It was "Andrew," right?

Hope: "Andrew"? All right. I'm gonna call Sami, see if we can question the photographer.

Chad: Right, right. You said that he could've worked with an accomplice, right? Otherwise, why would he have Gabi's number written on a note?

Bo: Right.

Chad: So, any other print on the note?

EJ: The evidence you have against me is circumstantial at best.

Spencer: I disagree. I believe we have a very strong case.

Rafe: Yeah, especially in light of recent information which has given us new insight as to your motive.

EJ: Well, what possible reason could I have for wanting to kill my father?

Roman: Well, that's just the thing, EJ. We know. Stefano wasn't your father.

Sami: What? What are you talking about?

Roman: EJ is not Stefano's biological son.

Sami: And you knew that?

Roman: Oh, yeah. Yeah, he knew that and we have proof. So EJ killed Stefano to stop him from cutting the imposter son out of the will. Sound about right, Mayor?

Hope: Yes, we did. We found a second set of prints on the note. But that person must not have a criminal record, because the prints didn't match anyone in our database.

Abigail: So since you matched this guy's fingerprints, that means that he has a criminal record, right?

Hope: Correct. He served time in a mental hospital. He escaped last year.

Chad: Oh, my God.

Bo: Hey, try to stay calm. We have a solid lead. There's no indication that Melanie's been hurt.

Hope: I'm going to call Daniel, fill him in. Excuse me.

Bo: Okay.

Gabi: So I guess there's no way of tracking down this other person, right?

Bo: I never said that.

Gabi: Oh, how?

Bo: We sent the prints to the passport agency. We're not gonna stop until Melanie is home, safe and sound, and everyone, I mean everyone who was involved in this kidnapping is brought to justice.

Andrew: Okay. Maybe it would be good to move further down the tunnel.

Melanie: No, no, no, that's not good enough. We have to get above ground, please.

Andrew: You're just trying to escape.

Melanie: No, no, I just don't wanna die.

Andrew: Okay. All right, um-- I'll try and find a place for us to hide aboveground.

Melanie: Okay, good. But you're gonna take me with you.

Andrew: No, no, no. You have to stay here.

Melanie: No, no, no, you-- I can't just stay here.

Andrew: You'll have Mr. Bear to protect you. No, look, I won't be gone long. I'll be back really quick.

Melanie: Please don't leave me alone! No, no! [Crying] Aah!

Roman: Go ahead, Rafe. Read him his rights.

Rafe: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will...

Will: EJ!

Rafe: Be used against you in a court of law.

Lucas: Stay away from him. Stay away from him, all right? Justice is finally being served. Our family's gonna be free of the DiMeras. Wait, Sami. What the hell are you doing here?
