Gabi: Okay. Chad, just wait. Slow down.

Chad: Do you see Daniel anywhere?

Gabi: No, but I don't think that rushing to conclusions is a good idea.

Chad: Melanie never made it to her mom's.

Gabi: A-and stressing her dad out is a good idea?

Chad: Look, he's already afraid, okay? And so am I. Gabi, I should've done something before. I-I should've known that Melanie wouldn't have just taken off without telling me to my face.

Gabi: She was mad at you.

Chad: I don't care, okay? Melanie wouldn't have lied about seeing her mom.

Gabi: Okay, but that doesn't mean that--that something bad's happened to her.

Daniel: Okay, I just got off the phone with Carly, and she's a wreck.

Chad: All right, uh, okay, look, I emailed all of Melanie's friends and told them what was going on. Okay, look, we're gonna figure this out.

Abigail: Hey, I got your email.

Chad: Hey, um, have you heard from Melanie at all since she's left town?

Abigail: No. What's going on?

Chad: Melanie never went to her mom's.

Daniel: Carly didn't even know Melanie was coming to visit her.

Abigail: Then where is she?

[Door slams, lock clicking]

Andrew: Who the hell do you think you are?

Melanie: All right, I'm sor--

Andrew: No, mm-mm, no. You just made a huge mistake.

Melanie: Look, I didn't know what to do--I was afraid. I'm sorry. Don't be mad at me, pl--

Andrew: Don't! Don't tell me what to do.

Melanie: Look, I know you're not a bad guy.

Andrew: No, you're--you're lying, okay? Because when--when a girl likes a guy, they like them, and they don't try and escape from them, do they? Do they?

Lucas: So you want to try to take over DiMera Enterprises?

John: Stefano's dead. Elvis John is a suspect in his murder. There is an estate to be settled. I got a feeling the board of directors are gonna be a bit nervous.

Lucas: Well, yeah, but it's always been a family-run business.

John: And technically... I'm a DiMera.

Lucas: What about EJ?

John: Stefano never made him a full partner. I can cut him off at the knees. Without the organization behind him, he's just another guy with a funny name.

Marlena: That would make Salem a safer place to live.

Lucas: Yeah, my kids and Sami would be a lot better off too.

John: Then you're in?

Lucas: Oh, yeah, I'm in. Just tell me what you need.

EJ: I would advise you to take your hands off me now.

Sami: I hope they lock you away for the rest of your miserable life.

EJ: What about Johnny and Sydney?

Sami: Oh, they're better off without you.

EJ: You mean they're better off with you. Maybe you have a point. I mean, you did such a spectacular job with William, didn't you? I mean, bravo.

Sami: Oh, shut up.

EJ: Ooh. I caught that one. How long do you think it's gonna be before they get sick of you, Samantha?

Sami: Oh, God, I hate you. Oh, my--ugh! How does that keep happening? Oh, my God, that is horrifying!

EJ: What?

Sami: You yelling at me and me yelling at you, and then all of a sudden--

EJ: Then do me a favor--next time, just keep your hands off me, all right?

Sami: Hey, that goes double for you, buddy.

EJ: Okay, fine.

Sami: Thank God nothing happened. Okay. [Laughs]

EJ: Nothing happened, all right?

Sami: Nothing.

EJ: Nothing happened, all right? Fine. Good.

Sami: [Inhales deeply, sighs]

Lucas: So we're--we're really gonna do this? We're gonna take EJ's company away from him?

John: [Laughs] Or die trying.

Marlena: Please don't say that.

John: First thing we're gonna do is try to reach out to the board members.

Marlena: And you'll be careful, right?

John: Ah, don't worry about it, Doc.

Marlena: "Don't worry," you say?

John: Don't worry. The cops like EJ for Stefano's murder. He's preoccupied right now, rather vulnerable.

Lucas: And the board's used to Stefano running things and not EJ.

John: Mm-hmm. You and I have a lot of contacts in the business world, Lucas, we could reach out to.

Lucas: Okay.

John: You know, they could quietly suggest to the other board members that maybe new ownership would be a very good thing.

Lucas: That's awesome. Want to do this now? Can we start?

John: I think we've already started, kid.

[Keys clacking]

Chad: Okay, look, I think we should call the cops.

Daniel: Oh, I agree.

Chad: Look, can you start checking with people I didn't email, okay? People from her work, like the hospital, the--the spa.

Abigail: I'll start making calls.

Chad: Yeah, all right, anybody you--you think that she might have talked to the week before she left, okay?

Gabi: Well, it's not like she was gonna leave town.

Chad: Well, if she mentioned going somewhere besides Europe, uh, to do something, to go somewhere, okay?

Gabi: Well, why do you think she would tell them if she didn't tell you or Daniel?

Chad: Just do it, okay?

Gabi: Okay.

Daniel: Okay, let's go. Come on, let's go.

Gabi: I guess I better get started.

Abigail: Oh, my God, what's happened to her?

Cameron: Hopefully, nothing.

Abigail: You don't know Melanie. She adores her father, and she's crazy about Chad. She would never leave without telling them. What if I never see her again?

Cameron: No, come on.

Hope: Hey, sweetie. How was day camp? What? You did? Wow, that is so awesome. I'm so proud of you. She swam all the way across the pool.

Bo: Oh, I knew she could.

Hope: Hey, sweetie, uh, daddy had this idea that after work, we'd pick up Theo and take you guys out for pizza, but, of course, don't worry, I told daddy you do not like pi-- [Laughs] Oh, you do like pizza? Ah, she likes pizza after all, Brady.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Hope: All right, sweetie, then it's a date. Uh, honey, I got to go. I love you. I'll see you soon. Ciao, baby.

Bo: Hey, guys.

Chad: Hey.

Bo: What's wrong?

Daniel: It's Melanie.

Hope: What about her?

Chad: She's missing, and we're afraid something happened to her.

Andrew: Answer me! If you think I am such a good guy, then why are you trying to run away from me?

Melanie: I-I was--I was claustrophobic. It's just--I was freaked out.

Andrew: Claustrophobic? Are you kidding me? Do you know how hard I worked on this place just to make it nice for you? I bring you food and stuff to read. I even gave you music! And what do you want from me?

[Cell phone ringing]

Melanie: What are you doing?

Andrew: Come here.

Melanie: What are you doing? No! No, you don't have to-- no, I won't run away again, I promise. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'll--I'll stay here.

Andrew: Shut up, shut up, shut up! You are not going anywhere.

Melanie: Ow. Ow. You're hurting me.

Gabi: Andrew? Andrew? Andrew? Hello, Andrew?

[Door opens]

Gabi: Melanie's dad and Chad are at the police station right now. Please, you have to let her go. I mean it. I'm begging you, please, now.

Abigail: Uh-huh.

Cameron: Hi, you don't know me, but I'm an old friend of Melanie Jonas.

Abigail: You did? When?

Cameron: Yeah, well, I-I'm in Salem, and I'd love to see her, but I hear she went on vacation. Did--did she happen to mention where she was going?

Abigail: ...Going away?

Cameron: Okay, well--well, I-I just--I thought maybe she told you where she was going when, uh--when she asked for time off.

Abigail: No, that's--thank you. Please just let me know if you hear from her.

Cameron: All right, thanks.

Abigail: Yeah, thanks. You too.

Cameron: [Sighs]

Abigail: Well, her Grandma Maggie is out of town with her husband and has no clue where Melanie is. She definitely didn't request for time off from the spa either.

Cameron: Is that--is that out of character for her?

Abigail: Totally. Now Maggie's completely freaked out. Please tell me that you found something.

Cameron: Sorry. Her--her friend Tanya--she went to dinner with her two nights before she left, but she didn't say a word about wanting to go anywhere.

Abigail: Where could she be?

Cameron: I don't know. Come on, let's sit down.

Abigail: This is really bad.

Cameron: Well, you don't know that yet.

Abigail: There's a lot I don't know about Melanie's life before she came to Salem. She had it pretty rough. She grew up all over the place.

Cameron: Well, so s-she probably has friends you don't even know about.

Abigail: You're right. You're right. It's just...[Sighs] When something really bad happens, I-I try to imagine the worst possible thing that could happen and figure out how I'd deal with it.

Cameron: That can work.

Abigail: Unless the worst thing that could happen is something that no one can deal with.

Cameron: Sometimes you just have to have hope... and faith.

Abigail: I told you about my dad... how he'd, um, just disappear, take off on some adventure, and I never knew if I was gonna see him again.

Cameron: But he did come back.

Abigail: Eventually.

Cameron: You know, Melanie and Chad had a huge fight before she disappeared, right? So she probably just needed to get away.

Abigail: Even if you are right, why hasn't she been in touch with anyone?

Chad: She didn't go off on her own, okay? Something happened to her. I know it.

Bo: All right, but you said you had an argument before she left?

Daniel: You know what? Even if she took off by herself without a plan, she would have called me, let me know where she was and when she was coming back.

Hope: You did say you got an email from her?

Daniel: Yeah, that's not like her either.

Chad: Look, anyway, okay, she said she went to visit her mom, okay? Carly hasn't heard a word from her, all right? I-I called Max, Chelsea, Nicholas--none of them have heard a word from her.

Daniel: I should've known. I should've known something wasn't right, b-but Lexie was dying, and I had my head straight up my--

Chad: That's exac--and that's another thing, okay? I left messages on Melanie's phone about Lexie, and she still didn't call me back.

Bo: Okay, first off, let's not assume the worst.

Hope: Exactly. If anything bad had happened to Melanie, it would've gotten back to us here.

Chad: You can do something about this, right?

Bo: Yeah. So you guys basically live together now?

Chad: Yeah. I mean, you know, more or less.

Hope: I would like to drive over to your place, check things out. Could I have the keys?

Chad: Yeah, absolutely.

Hope: Where would she keep things such as suitcases?

Daniel: Oh, you know what? That'd be a storage unit at my place. Here's the key.

Bo: Do either of you know the password for her email account?

Chad: It's "dancar."

Bo: You want to spell that?

Chad: Uh, yeah, yeah. It's "d-a-n-c-a-r"-- you know, like "Daniel Carly."

Bo: Okay, I'll see if there's any activity on her email account, her phone, or her credit card.

Hope: It could give us a general idea of where she is.

Bo: And if it's in a high-crime area, we'll have surveillance cameras to check out too.

Chad: Do it.

Daniel: Please.

Hope: Okay.

Bo: Okay.

Gabi: Andrew, look, Melanie's dad and Chad are at the police station right now. They know that she didn't go to Europe to see her mom.

Andrew: So what?

Gabi: Okay, can you just listen to me, please? The police, if they find out, my brother--he will never speak to me again. I will lose everything.

Andrew: You didn't care about that when you hired me to stalk you in the first place.

Gabi: I was trying to get closer to Chad. I mean, I-I didn't think that you would--

Andrew: That what? You didn't think that I would what?

Gabi: I didn't think that you would go this far, okay? Please, this has to stop. You have to let her go.

Andrew: What do you think is gonna happen, hmm? If I let Melanie go, she will run straight to the cops. She's gonna tell 'em everything. She's not gonna forget. And then she's just gonna--she's gonna tell 'em where I live. [Chuckles]

Gabi: She doesn't know who you are.

Andrew: Of course she doesn't. No, because I'm invisible. But you're not. I know who you are, Gabi. And if the cops come looking for me, well... I'm just gonna tell 'em that you put me up to it.

Gabi: You wouldn't do that.

Andrew: Why not? Why wouldn't I? Why? Because I'm just a photographer's assistant and you're a big, hot model? I'm in control now, and there is nothing you can do about it.

EJ: You know, I should have known better than to think that you would stand by me.

Sami: Like you always stand by me?

EJ: I was there for Johnny and for Sydney.

Sami: EJ, that's 'cause there was nothing in it for you.

EJ: So you think I'm a murderer, is that right?

Sami: I'm just surprised that you got your own hands dirty. Don't you usually like to have someone else do the dirty work for you?

EJ: You know how much family means to me, and he was my father! He was our children's grandfather!

Sami: [Sighs]

EJ: You really still think I'm capable of that? I thought you knew me better.

Sami: EJ, wait.

[Door slams]

Sami: I don't want you to go.

Abigail: Okay. Thanks, Philip. He hasn't heard a word from Melanie either.

Cameron: Now, who's Philip?

Abigail: Her ex-husband.

Cameron: Well, it makes sense for her not to share her plans with him.

Abigail: It was a shot in the dark. I don't understand. I mean, there has to be somebody else that I can call, someone I can contact.

Cameron: You'll scare people if you don't try to calm down.

Abigail: How do I do that?

Cameron: Tell me how you're feeling.

Abigail: I did.

Cameron: No, you told me about your parents.

Abigail: Well, that's me-- the daughter of Jack and Jen. I never think of myself as anything but a part of them, especially my mom. When my dad's done something to upset her, like disappear, it feels like it's happening to me.

Cameron: That just means you're a good daughter.

Abigail: No, not always. S-- I'm sorry, Cameron. I'm so insensitive. I'm going on and on about my mom, and you grew up without Celeste for most of your life. I can't imagine what that must have been like.

Cameron: I kept trying to... [Clears throat] Create her in my mind. Depending on how old I was or what I was into, sometimes she'd be Maya Angelou, sometimes she'd be Angela Bassett. But I never stopped thinking about her.

Abigail: That's the thing about mothers.

Cameron: Then I'd get fed up with missing her, and I'd pray to God, "please, just send her home to me."

Abigail: He heard your prayers.

Cameron: [Laughs] And she was like nothing I ever imagined. [Both laugh] That's more like it.

Bo: Yeah.

Daniel: Yeah, I need you to reschedule my appointments this afternoon. Great, and I talked to Dr. Mayer. She's gonna cover any emergencies for me. And could you do a, uh, E.R. log for Melanie Jonas? All right, that's great. We'll be in touch. Thanks. Anything?

Chad: No, man, I'm losing it.

Daniel: Okay, sit down.

Chad: Look, I-I'm not gonna sit down.

Daniel: Sure, you can sit.

Chad: [Sighs] If only I hadn't just fought with her.

Daniel: Okay, stop. That has nothing to do with what happened.

Chad: [Sighs]

Bo: Okay, thanks.

Chad: Any word?

Bo: Yeah.

Chad: Well, where is she?

Gabi: Look, if you don't let Melanie go, I will go to my brother, and I'll tell him how I just suddenly remembered that you had a thing for Melanie. I mean, do you really think he's gonna believe you over me?

Andrew: Actually, I do, because I've got something that will send you right to jail.

Gabi: You're bluffing.

Andrew: Think so?

Gabi: What? She tried to escape? What's gonna happen to us if she escapes? Fine. Keep Melanie out of the way for now and don't let her get away again. You taped us?

Andrew: Yeah. I mean, what did you think-- that I was so blown away by your sudden interest that I would forget all of my technical know-how? No. One click of a button, and this goes straight to the Salem P.D.

Gabi: Oh, my God.

Andrew: Yeah. Who's in control now?

Lucas: You guys playing golf today? Do you think you could mention what I just told you? I'd owe you. Perfect. Thank you, thank you. Just, uh, call me as soon as you talk to him, okay? All right, cool.

John: Sounded pretty good.

Lucas: Oh, yeah, Gordon Chapman from Hearth and Home. We did a lot of business together. He's playing golf with Don Alexander today.

John: Alexander's been on the board for over 20 years.

Lucas: Yep, and the word is from Chapman that old Don doesn't like EJ running things at all.

John: Hmm, I like the sound of that. All right, so we've got people working every member of the board except for Charlie Casey now.

Marlena: Charlie's covered.

John: How's that?

Marlena: We have the same massage therapist. Yeah, he tells her his problems, and she helps him sort them out.

Lucas: Whoa.

John: [Laughs]

Lucas: That's kind of cool.

Marlena: Well, you don't expect the good old boys to do all the heavy lifting, do you?

John: Absolutely not. So now we just sit and wait.

Lucas: Yeah, all we need is one lone board member--just one member to side with you, John, and we can push EJ out of this company.

Sami: Don't look at me like that.

EJ: Samantha, you were the one who asked me stay.

Sami: You made me mad, okay? You always make me mad. You get under my skin, and-- [Sighs] And I'm sorry, I just-- I said things I shouldn't have said, and it happens to the best of us. But I know that you love your kids. I do know how important family is to you, and I know that you loved Stefano. For how twisted that family dynamic is, I know you do love him, and I don't want to believe that you're lying to me. I don't want to believe that you killed him. I don't want to have to explain to Johnny and Sydney that their father's in prison for something like that.

EJ: But, Samantha, that's my point. You still don't believe that I didn't kill my father.

Sami: Well, I didn't say it like that. I-- I just-- you freakin' failed the polygraph test! I mean, what am I supposed to believe? If the situation were reversed, you would think that of me. You would be suspicious of me. I mean, admit it.

EJ: I suppose.

Sami: Oh, come on. You failed the polygraph test, you don't have an alibi, your fingerprints are on the murder weapon, and Stefano was trying to cut you out of his will.

EJ: Samantha, look at me. I didn't do it.

Sami: Then prove it to me.

EJ: I-I can't do that. I wish that I could do that, but I can't.

Abigail: Okay.

Cameron: Thanks.

Abigail: Yeah, I will. Thanks.

Cameron: Who was that?

Abigail: Dario Hernandez, her old boyfriend. I thought that maybe if she was fighting with Chad that she would have gone to see him.

Cameron: Well, where does he live?

Abigail: Argentina. He hasn't heard from her in months.

Cameron: I struck out with the girlfriend at the spa too.

Abigail: [Sighs] Maybe Daniel and Chad are having some luck with the police.

Cameron: Chad would have called you if something had happened.

Abigail: Yeah. I said a prayer for Melanie. I just--I hope it works out like your prayers did for your mom.

Cameron: I hope so too. But, Abigail...

Abigail: Yeah?

Cameron: Uh, keep that to yourself--the praying.

Abigail: Why?

Cameron: You know, a real man doesn't need to rely on a higher power.

Abigail: Ah. I don't know, but in my book, asking for help when you really need it instead of just pretending like everything's fine... now, that's pretty sexy. Wow.

Cameron: Yeah. [Clears throat] Um, who, uh, did you want me to call next?

Abigail: Um, there's, uh-- right, um... there's a woman that Melanie went to see a couple of times when her mom was in bad shape-- a shrink. I remember the name.

Cameron: That's privileged.

Abigail: Even if Melanie's in danger? Come on, Cameron, you're a doctor. Can't you at least--at least try to talk to her? Please?

Cameron: Okay. Give me the name.

Chad: Well, what do you know?

Bo: Hope's on her way back. I'm gonna wait till she gets here.

Daniel: Oh, so we're just gonna sit here?

Bo: No, no, I've got some questions for you. So you had a fight with Melanie before she took off? What was this fight about?

Chad: Um, well, that was, uh, right when I found out that you guys were questioning Will about my dad's murder, okay? I was really messed up. So I-I ran into Will, and I went off on him, and then Melanie walked in on it, and she, you know, tried to calm me down, and then I-I went off on her too.

Bo: Went off on her how?

Chad: I, uh, said she, uh-- she hated my father and that she, uh, was glad he was dead.

Bo: Then what happened?

Chad: I-I'm sorry, am I-- am I a suspect here? Do you think I would--I would come in here if I did something to Melanie? I-I love her.

Bo: The reality is... when someone disappears like this, most often the person responsible is someone they love. So how did this argument end?

Chad: [Sighs] Okay, well, uh, we were at the Town Square, and, uh, she said that she, uh, you know, maybe she should just go, and she left, okay? So I-I texted her to apologize. She never answered. And then I got that email saying she left town.

Daniel: Okay, you know what? Look at him. Look at him. The guy is tortured about it. Obviously, he didn't do anything to Melanie.

Bo: Doc, I'm just doing my job.

Daniel: I understand. I do--I understand. Please, but can you just tell me what you found out?

Bo: We're still looking through the surveillance tapes of when she disappeared.

Chad: Okay, so you're saying that, uh, you know, we can tell by Melanie's phone and--and credit cards that we may know where she is?

Bo: Last time she used her phone was when she sent that email to you. There has been no activity on her credit cards.

Daniel: Oh, my God.

Chad: Okay, all right. All right, now I--now I know something's really wrong here, okay? T-this is bad.

Gabi: Oh, my God. I can't believe that you recorded me.

Andrew: I bet you can't. What, did you think that I was so into you that you could just push me around and treat me like I'm stupid?

Gabi: I would've never ordered you to keep Melanie a prisoner!

Andrew: You wanted her out of the way, and I took care of that for you! So you don't get to push me around anymore!

Sami: You can't tell me where you were or what you were doing the night that Stefano was killed?

EJ: If I can't explain it to the police, Samantha, I can't explain it to you. I give you my word, but that doesn't seem to be good enough for you.

Sami: I'm sorry.

EJ: Can--can you just do me one thing? Can you just, please, assure me that whatever happens, you will protect Johnny and Sydney?

Sami: What do you mean "protect" them? Are they in danger?

EJ: No.

Sami: You're sure there's not someone out there trying to off DiMeras? Is that what happened to--

EJ: I just mean--I mean protect them from, uh, what other children might be saying about this.

Sami: You're sure that's what you meant?

EJ: Just do me this one thing. Just promise me that if all this... if all this goes to hell... you will look after them, okay? You'll make them a priority.

Sami: Of course I will. I always do.

EJ: Just... make sure that they always know that I love them.

John: Well, thanks for everything you tried to do, Bob. Mm-hmm. Yeah, will do. [Shuts laptop] Nobody took the bait.

Lucas: Yeah, nobody on my list either.

Marlena: Charlie canceled his massage.

John: Everybody's scared to go head-to-head with EJ.

Lucas: Maybe we can try something less direct.

John: Yeah. I'll try to come up with something.

Lucas: All right, well, maybe I should go, but thank you for talking to me about Will. I appreciate that.

Marlena: Anytime.

Lucas: All right. Um, just keep me posted, okay?

John: You got it, kid.

[Door closes]

John: [Sighs]

Marlena: It stinks.

John: Yeah. It stinks.

EJ: What are you thinking?

Sami: Sydney called me back into her room last night, uh, 'cause she wanted me to see that her night-light had burnt out, and I asked her if it was okay, if it was too dark for her. And she said, "no, it's okay, Mommy. It's--it's a bit dark."

EJ: [Chuckles]

Sami: Not "a little dark"... "a bit dark." [Chuckles] And, man, you cannot convince Johnny to call it a soccer ball. It is not a soccer ball. It is a football. I think about all the times that I have tried to eliminate you from their lives, and--and as they get older, I realize... what special people they are and--and that you are a big part of what makes them so special.

EJ: Likewise.

Sami: I tried to keep you out of their lives, you tried to keep me out of their lives, and we both realized how wrong it is. So I want you to know that no matter what happens, I'm not gonna try to turn them against you... ever.

EJ: Thank you.

Sami: Sure.

Chad: I've seen those crime shows on TV, and when there's no activity on a missing person's phone or credit cards, that-- that's not a good thing, you guys.

Daniel: All right, all right, all right, what do we do now?

Bo: We'll see if Hope came up with any information at the apartment that will give us a place to start looking for her. If not, there are things to do. We'll--we'll go to media. We'll interview people who were at the Horton Square when she disappeared.

Daniel: Okay, isn't that gonna take a long time?

Chad: What if Melanie doesn't have that much time?

Sami: So, um... so what happens now?

EJ: Um, that--that's up to the police.

Sami: You're gonna lawyer up, though, right?

EJ: I will, when the time comes.

Sami: You know, I know you've gotten yourself out of... [Chuckles] Some jams before, but you don't have Stefano at your back now.

EJ: I'm sure I'll be fine. At least we're in agreement about the children.

Sami: We are--now.

EJ: That's something.

Sami: It's a lot.

Abigail: I wish that shrink would call you back. Do you think maybe we should leave her another message?

Cameron: [Chuckles] Come here. [Pats knee]

Abigail: [Sighs]

Cameron: [Laughs]

Abigail: I'm really glad you're here.

Cameron: [Sighs] Me too.

Abigail: I would be going nuts if I was doing this alone.

Cameron: Think about it like this. [Clears throat] When we were kids, you used to be afraid that your dad wouldn't come back, and I was afraid that I'd never know my mother, but your dad's still around, and my mother's in my life.

Abigail: And I'm so glad that you found her... because finding her is what brought you to me.

Cameron: It's like it's meant to be.

[Cell phone ringing]

Abigail: What is it? Is it about Melanie?

Bo: Who are you contacting?

Chad: I'm giving Cameron and Abigail an update on Melanie, okay? If we have to start from square one and look for her, I want to start right now.

Bo: Good, man. You've emailed her friends. You're getting the word out there--that's good.

Daniel: Okay, there has got to be something else we can do.

Bo: We need more information before we can start a hard-target search.

Daniel: Look, she is not a hard target! She is my daughter!

Bo: Look, man--

Daniel: Okay, Bo, I know-- look, you're a father, you--

Bo: Take it easy.

Daniel: Okay, okay. No, I'm good.

Hope: Hey.

Chad: Hey, did you find anything?

Hope: All her personal items still seem to be there. You know, the things she would use every day--makeup, medicines, toothbrush. I also checked out Daniel's storage unit, and there was luggage there with her name on it. Inside her carry-on, I found this. It's hers, and it's current.

Bo: Well, she obviously didn't want to leave the country.

Chad: She's not the one who wrote the email, is she?

Gabi: I'm sorry for yelling at you.

Andrew: [Laughs] I bet you are, now that you know that I can nail you.

Gabi: I was just scared. I'm scared for the both of us, okay? But there's no reason for anyone to know that--that we're part of this, okay? Let's just end it before anything happens.

Andrew: Yeah, and how do we do that?

Gabi: I don't know. Um, take Melanie away somewhere really far and just--and just let her go, please.

Andrew: What if I don't want to?

Gabi: Andrew...

Andrew: No, you know, Melanie's got it pretty good here, actually. I-I give her plenty of food and stuff to read. Did you know that both of us actually like Janelle Monae? [Laughs]

Gabi: Okay, so what--what are you saying--that she likes it here?

Andrew: Maybe not yet, but she will.

Gabi: Andrew, the police could already be--be looking for Melanie. If we get caught, I mean, you probably will never have the chance to--to get her to like you.

Andrew: Well, then you better not say anything, because you know what'll happen if you do.

Gabi: If you send those recordings to the police, you do know that they're not only gonna hear my voice--they're gonna hear yours too?

Andrew: [Laughs]

Gabi: And I'm sorry, but I cannot protect you... because I also know your name, and I know where you work and where you live. If we both go to prison... you're never gonna see Melanie again.

Andrew: No.

Gabi: Yes. Please, okay? This has gone for way too long. Just, please, let her go.

Daniel: I didn't want to believe it.

Chad: Yeah, well, me either, okay? All right? But we have to. Whoever sent that email to us, he's got her, all right? And he knew enough about her to know where to send it, what to say, so nobody'd go looking for her.

Daniel: My God, what else is he doing to her?

[Scraping]

Andrew: No, see... I decide how this goes, not you. Yeah, I thought I-- I thought I made that clear.

Gabi: Andrew, please, just--

Andrew: No. No, I like Melanie's company.

Gabi: Her "company"?

Andrew: Yeah. See, she's not going anywhere. And if you think--you think you can change my mind on that, well, you better think again.

EJ: Samantha, if--if I do go to prison... I don't want you to bring the kids in to see me. I don't want them to see me in that condition.

Sami: Well, then I hope to God you don't end up in prison. What?

EJ: You know, in a strange way, you sort of kind of maybe sound like you're being a tiny bit supportive.

Sami: [Laughs] Is that true? You're not giving me much choice anyway.

EJ: It's because, deep down, you know I didn't do this. You know I couldn't kill my father, Samantha. You know I'm innocent. Thank you.

Lucas: You have got to be kidding me.
