Jennifer: Thought you could use another.
Jack: Thanks.
Jennifer: You thinking about Abigail? Jack, she is so ashamed. Because of what she did.
Jack: Well, on the bright side, at least she didn't actually have sexual relations with a married man.
Jennifer: Jack...
Jack: Oh, she--then again, actually she didn't have any compunction about lying about it. Or destroying said married man's marriage. But, hey...who am I? I mean, I can't really throw stones, can I?
Jennifer: No, none of us can, Jack.
Jack: I don't want to minimize it, Jennifer. I don't. I just... I want to do something to make it better.
Jennifer: I do too.
Jack: But how?
Jennifer: I know how. In order to help Abigail, we have to fix ourselves.
Abigail: I'm so sorry. I turned around so fast, I didn't even see you coming.
Cameron: No kidding.
Abigail: Oh, my God, I broke it.
Cameron: The frame didn't crack itself.
Abigail: Here, let me see it. Maybe if we just wipe the mud off--
Cameron: Just leave it alone, all right? Before you make it worse.
John: Listen to me. You know this woman.
Gina: No, I do not.
John: Her name is Marlena. She's one of your closest friends. Look at me. You're not Princess Gina. She's dead.
Gina: Honestly, John.
John: Your name is Hope Brady. You're married. Your husband's name is Bo. He's been badly hurt. He's in the hospital, and he needs you right now.
Hope: I do not know why you are doing this. I do not know this woman. Bo Brady is not my husband. And for the last time, the last thing I am is his wife! I want to sell Stefano's egg to the highest bidder. So you and I can disappear together forever, darling.
John: Please, listen to me because, if you don't, Stefano's gonna win the ultimate game.
Francisco: The Princess and John are still in the hotel room.
Stefano: I don't need you to tell me that.
Francisco: Yes, sir.
Stefano: What I need is for you to tell me about her. So tell me... what is the latest?
Francisco: As you instructed, Mrs. DiMera received the package last night.
Stefano: So...she has had a whole day to stew over its contents. [Chuckles] Now, what's important, left to her own devices, what does she do?
Kate: Well, hello. I didn't expect to see you here.
Ian: Really? Really, Kate? Are you being entirely honest with me?
Daniel: Lexie, you're a doctor. So, as you know, these things aren't easy to say.
Lexie: Other than to just say it. It's okay, whatever it is, I can handle it.
Daniel: Your collapse was caused by a tumor.
Lexie: Here?
Daniel: Between the third and lateral ventricles of your brain, and--and Lexie, uh...et the tumor is in an advanced stage.
Abe: Well, I-I-I just don't understand it.
Daniel: Okay, I know it's a lot to take in.
Abe: Daniel, look, look, I'm sorry, but... a how can we be looking at something here in an advanced stage? There was no warning. I an, Lexie showed absolutely no signs until earlier today.
Lexie: Babe, it's okay. The tumor.
Lexie: Said it's located between the third and lateral ventricles in my brain. That would make it...
Daniel: Inoperable.
Celeste: [Groans]
Lexie: Thank you. Thank you, Daniel. Um... excuse me.
Gina: Stefano has really gotten to you this time. Do not understand why you are worried about him. John, we have the egg. It's all he wants. Darling, we hold all of the cards.
John: Well see, that is where you're mistaken. As long as ye can't remember who u are, Stefano is still in control.
Gina: Stefano? No one controls me. You should know that better than anyone. And if you cannot recognize the woman standing in front of you, then... I do not know what to say.
John: Oh, where you going?
Gina: The air is stale in here. I am going for a walk.
John: No, no, no. I'm--I'm sorry. Sit down. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Gina: Excuse me. John, what are you doing? Honest.
John: I'm--
Gina: What are you doing, John? Let go of me!
John: Well, you might not see it right now, but I'm saving your life.
Gina: You leave me like this, it shall be the end of yours. What are you do--John, stop it.
John: You wanna know something?
Gina: You're scaring me. What are you doing? John?
John: For the love of my life? That's a risk I'm just gonna have to take.
Gina: John, do not leave me like this! John, come back here! John!
Jack: You think we need to fix us?
Jennifer: Jack, we Abigail's parents.
Jack: Both of us. Listen, I am not trying to excuse what she did. But Abigail has always been so grown up, so independent, and maybe--maybe we didn't realize that she still needs us sometimes.
Jack: She needed a father figure. And she looked up and she saw Austin Reed, because I wasn't. There.
Jennifer: No, that is not true. She was looking for--for stability and--and attention. We can do better, Jack. We have to do better.
Jack: We better do better.
Jennifer: Yes, she needs to know that we are on the same page and that we are not gonna change.
Jack: Right.
Jennifer: But there's something between us. There's this...there's this distance, and I don't want it.
Jack: It's not what I want, either. But that's what has to be. Because every time I let myself get too close to you, I end up hurting you or the kids. And it seems to be getting worse than ever.
Jennifer: Listen to me, that is not true.
Jack: Oh, it's not true?
Jennifer: No, it's not true. Your children ore you. And so do I. I mean, don't--don't we want the same thing? Really? I mean, what the heck are wean doing, Jack?
Jack: As I've told you before--
Jennifer: I know what you told me. I know what you've told me, but--but are you really--are you really protecting us? I mean, I don't--I just don't know. Is this really about me? Are we afraid? Are just afraid to try again? Is that what it is, Jack? Jack what?
Jack: As I've told you before--
Jennifer: I don't care what you've told me. If that is all you have to say, then forget it. Then don't say anything more.
Abigail: If the frame's damaged, let me get you a new one. There's a store around the corner.
Cameron: I don't care about the frame. It's the photo that's all jacked up now.
Abigail: Okay, well, you can just get it digitally restored.
Cameron: I don't want a digital copy--I want this one. The original.
Abigail: Look, I don't know what to say. What happened is completely my fault, but I am just trying to help.
Cameron: No, you're trying to get me to say "it's all right. All's forgiven." Well, guess what? It's not happening.
Francisco: Mr. DiMera, the package was addressed to you.
Stefano: Yes, it was.
Francisco: Why would you think your wife would open it? It was a test? I guess she failed.
Stefano: No. See, I know that she would open it. But what interested me is what would do with the contents once she had it.
Francisco: It's just pictures of...
Stefano: That's right. Another woman. A woman that used to be important in my past.
Francisco: So you're trying to make your wife jealous? How come?
Stefano: [Sighs] Let's just say... that I have my reasons.
Ian: Kate, you knew exactly what you were doing when you ran into me.
Kate: Oh, what was that? Walking?
Ian: No, you were waiting for me.
Kate: [Scoffs] My God, you really are delusional.
Ian: Am I?
Kate: Go to hell.
Ian: Oh, Kate. You were waiting for me. I'm he?. Walk away.
Kate: Let go.
Ian: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you.
Kate: Don't you?
Ian: , You obviously want someone to talk to, someone to listen. I'm here. Or would you rather go somewhere... private?
Kate: Private. Please.
Ian: Whatever you need.
Celeste: We shouldn't have allowed Alexandra to leave like that.
Abe: Yeah. I'll--I'll go find her. Um, look, um, first-- Daniel, what are we, uh... what are we looking at here? I mean, her condition. What are our options going forward?
Daniel: Okay, the first thing we need to determine is if the tumor has spread.
Abe: If it spread?
Daniel: Okay, Abe, I'm not gonna sugar coat this and I think I'd be doing you a huge disservice if I tried to, but what we're facing here is... is the worst-case scenario.
Abe: Uh, well, I'm... I'm gonna go find my wife.
Lexie: Your daughter is here today, Megan. What an amazing little girl. You must be so proud of her. What are you doing here?
Abe: I was trying to find you. And when you ran off, I, uh... I--
Lexie: I didn't run off, babe. It was time for my rounds. I had patients to see.
Abe: I read Mrs. Langton's chart.
Lexie: You shouldn't have done that.
Abe: She's in a coma, Lexie. I don't mean to be insensitive, but if you'd been a few minutes late, she wouldn't have--
Lexie: She wouldn't have known? I would have known. I see her at the same time every day, whether she knows it or not. I try and comfort her, because that's what I do. It's who I am.
Lexie: Look, I--I didn't leave because I couldn't handle what Daniel had to say. I left because that hasn't changed. I haven't changed, Abe.
Abe: I know. I know. I'm right here, sweetheart. I'm right here.
Jack: Jennifer! Jennifer, wait. Didn't you hear me calling you?
Jennifer: Yes, Jack, I heard you calling me, but I don't think there's anything--what else I there to say?
Jack: What is--
Jennifer: What?
Jack: What do I say? What do I say?
Jennifer: What? I don't know. What?
Jack: That I'm--I'm scared? Yes. I am scared. I don't know what's gonna happen. I--every time a car backfires, I'm scared. Every time a door opens, I'm scared. It closes, I'm scared. Whenever something happens now, I'm scared. I don't know what's gonna happen. I'm scared I'm not... I'm never gonna be the man that you or my family need me to be.
Jennifer: But you know what? You are that man. You are. I know that what you went through in Afghanistan, I know that it was horrible. I know that it was terrifying. I know you've been working so hard, Jack, to find your way back.
Jack: I'm making progress. I really am.
Jennifer: Yes, you are, and that is all I have ever wanted for you. But when do you stop going backwards and start moving forward, Jack--when?
Jack: Now. Now. Now. Right now. I'm looking at my future.
Jennifer: Okay. Then you say it.
Jack: I'm tired of being scared. I'm tired of being alone.
Jennifer: You don't have to be alone. I don't want you to be alone.
Abigail: Oh, my God. Ahem. Uh, Mom?
Jennifer: Hi, sweetie.
Abigail: What's going on? Are you two, um... you two back together?
Jack: Uh... I don't know, that-- that depends, I... did I blow it by waiting too long?
Jennifer: No. You got to me in the nick of time, Jack. Come here, sweetie.
Ian: Sit down. Make yourself comfortable.
Kate: That won't be necessary--I'm fine.
Ian: You're not fine, Kate.
Kate: Don't patronize me.
Ian: I'm sorry. That was not my intention.
Kate: You think you know me so well, don't you?
Ian: Well enough to know you're in an emotionally restrictive marriage. Passionless.
Kate: Well, that's a really funny thing to come from a man whose wife goes into heat every time she sees Brady Black.
Ian: Touché. You're also conflicted because you have a husband and you're not sure he's moved on from a past love. You never know what he's thinking or what he's feeling. It's tearing you apart, Kate. You deserve better.
Kate: You don't know the half of it. You don't know how many times I have called him, how many messages I've left him, telling him how much I love him and how much I miss him. And you know how many times he's called me back? Not one, not one time. But...perhaps if he paid me half the attention that he pays to Marlena, I would be fine. But then again... his precious Marlena takes up all of his attention. By the way, I'm not here because of what you said to me the other night.
Ian: What was that?
Kate: You told me that when I was ready, you'd be waiting.
Ian: Then what, exactly, are you doing here?
Gina: [Straining] [Door opens]
Gina: Oh, thank God. I did not think you we coming back. But since you have, untie me. John...
John: Not until I get you to listen to me.
Gina: [Sighs] I'm all ears.
John: I want you to look at this. The clerk printed it out for me downstairs.
Gina: What is that?
John: Front page of the Salem Newspaper.
Gina: I told you, that place means nothing to me.
John: Read the headline. Look at the photo.
Gina: "Lingers in coma. Detective Bo Brady.
John: That's Bo. That's your husband. He's a part of you. Now, I want you to go to that place, Hope. Go to that place, that part of you that Stefano can't reach, and tell me that you feel something. Tell me that you remember.
Abe: Um, Lex, uh... quick. Before we go back... what Daniel told you, he was-- he was just giving you the facts. It's--it's his job. And there's, uh... there's more than tests and results at play here. There's hope, and, uh... our faith.
Lexie: Mm-hmm.
Abe: And our love.- And, sweetheart, I am... not going to give up on you. On us. Not for a minute.
Lexie: Neither am I, baby. Mm, love you so much.
Abe: Mm. Oh, I love you. [Sighs] I love you. .
John: Try to remember the life you share with him.
Gina: I told you, do not know him, John.
John: Oh, yes, you do. You spent a lot of years with him. Raising a family, lovin' him.
Gina: John, I love you.
John: Your heart doesn't belong to me, Hope.
Gina: For God's sake, stop calling me that!
John: It belongs to Bo. And, oh, he needs you now. He needs to hear your voice. He needs to hear you say that you love him, that you're right there with him.
Gina: No.
John: You can do this.
Gina: No.
John: You can break through this, I know you can. Don't let DiMera keep us away from the people that we love.
Gina: John...
John: Bo... and Marlena... they're waiting for us... to come back to Salem. You can feel that pull, can't you, now? I want you to go to the place that you protected and tell me who you really are... and where you belong. And it's not here. You know that. It's back in Salem with Bo. He calls you "Fancy Face." Can you hear him calling your name? Can you see the smile on his face when he says that? "Fancy Face."
Gina: Bo... [Gasps] Bo... I need to get home. I need to get home to Bo.
John: It's--it's time to go. It's time to go. It's time to go.
[Laughter]
Abigail: I still can't believe this is happening. I'm so happy for you.
Jack: I'm speechless myself.
Abigail: Whoa, dad's speechless. That's a first.
Jennifer: I know, I... you know what? I think it's pretty--I think it's pretty wonderful too. And I think it's very sweet... one of the first things you wanted to do was come visit Bo.
Jack: I just thought we could spread the cheer. I don't know if he can hear us or feel us that we're there.
Jennifer: Yes, he can. The doctor said that he can hear us, Jack.
Jack: Good! All right.
Abigail: You guys go ahead. I'll catch up with you in a mite, okay?
Jennifer: Oh, yeah, okay.
Jack: Right.
Abigail: Lost?
Cameron: Yeah, I'm looking for... [Chuckles] Oh.
Abigail: Yeah. It's me.
Cameron: Excellent.
Abigail: Look, I used to live here, so I can probably get you pointed in the right direction without knocking you down, if that helps.
Cameron: [Chuckles] Yeah...I'd appreciate that.
Abigail: Okay. No problem.
Kate: I can't tell you why I'm here...to be honest, because I can't answer that question myself.
Ian: Then why did you seek me out--why me in particular?
Kate: I don't know. What do you want me to tell you? That you're the one person in the world who could possibly understand? Is that it?
Ian: Is that it?
Kate: No. Maybe it's because, when it comes down to it, you're really not so different from my dear husband.
Ian: How did you arrive at that particular conclusion?
Kate: Because Stefano wasn't the first man to think of me as an afterthought. And I would really, really love to know the justification for treating someone you care about that way.
Ian: I'm not so sure that I can justify it. But I think I do owe you an explanation. Sometimes, I feel like it's me against my hair.
Abigail: Before I go wandering off with you, uh, I'm Abigail, by the way.
Cameron: Cameron. Sorry for going ballistic on you before. I'm just meeting someone for the first time today. I guess I'm a little on edge.
Abigail: Oh...blind date.
Cameron: Not exactly. Uh, but the picture's a gift for her. That's why I was so upset. But...it cleaned up pretty well, so...
Abigail: Great. Well, I'm glad it worked out. So where are you trying to go, exactly?
Cameron: Dr. Jonas' office.
Abigail: Oh, super easy. You just go right this way c and you turn right at the doors, and it's the second office on the left.
Cameron: Cool.
Abigail: Yeah.
Cameron: Thanks. Ahem. Maybe I'll see you around sometime?
Abigail: Yeah, I'll watch where I'm going.
Hope: I should be wit. But instead, I'm stuck here in another one of Stefano's games. Damn him.
John: The important thing is this part of the game is over. We resisted what DiMera was trying to do to us. Or we're not locked inside our heads anymore. The princess and the pawn... [Snaps fingers] are gone.
Hope: Thank God.
John: And we have the Anastasia egg. The one thing DiMera wanted mo than anything else.
Hope: We do? I don't remember stealing that. He has no idea?
John: Oh, no. We removed all their surveillance devices in this room that he was using to spy on us. Plus, it's gonna work to our advantage--he doest know we're not under his mind control anymore.
Hope: We've got to keep him in the dark.
John: I think it's our ticket out of this mess. [Pounding on door]
Stefano: It's Stefano! Open the door! I know you're in there. [Pounding]
Celeste: Alexandra. Oh, my darling. I was so worried about you.
Lexie: Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I had some things to take care of. Um, listen, before Daniel came in, you said you had something to tell us? What was it? [Knock on door]
Cameron: Hello?
Celeste: You're here! Ohh.
Abe: Do you know who that is?
Lexie: No.
Celeste: What I wanted to tell you before, my darling, was that there was someone I wanted you to meet.
Lexie: Well, I gather this is that someone.
Celeste: Alexandra...
Lexie: Uh-huh?
Celeste: This is Cameron.
Lexie: Oh. Nice to meet you, Cameron.
Celeste: He's your brother.
Lexie: Oh.
Lexie: He's my...brother?
Celeste: Well, half-brother, actually.
Lexie: Half-brother? You never told me you had a son.
Celeste: Well, his father took him away from me when he was five. It was only recently we were able to reconnect.
Lexie: And you never told me?
Celeste: I wasn't allowed to have any contact with Cameron. Talking about him would have been like...losing him all over again.
Lexie: I'm sorry, Cameron. I'm--I'm not quite sure what to say.
Cameron: I don't blame you. We actually did meet once here. I even have proof.
Lexie: What's this?
Cameron: A photo of us. With mom.
Lexie: Oh, my God. Well, this was, uh, taken a long time ago. When I still thought you were my aunt. And you didn't know I was your daughter.
Celeste: You have no idea how much I regret all of that wasted time. Especially now.
Cameron: I hope you like it. It's yours to keep. I, uh, found it with some of my dad's stuff.
Celeste: Your brother is a doctor as well. He's grown into... quite a handsome young man.
Lexie: I can't. I can't. I can't do this right now.
Cameron: Is something wrong?
Abe: Uh, um, Cameron, I'm, uh, I'm Abe. Lexie's husband.
Cameron: Nice to meet you.
Abe: Yeah, it's good to meet you too. Look, you're gonna have to... forgive us. We just...we heard some news. It's nothing to do with you, but we have to process all of this, and I'm sure once Lexie's done that, she'll be...very open to getting to know you.
Cameron: That'd be great.
Celeste: I love you, my darling.
Lexie: Yeah. I love you too. Um...it was nice meeting you. Again.
Cameron: Mom... what did I walk in on?
Ian: I was never happier than when I was with you, Kate.
Kate: If you were so happy, then why did you end it? Why did you end it so...
Ian: Abruptly?
Kate: You cut me loose without a second thought, Ian.
Ian: Do you think that was easy for me? I did it to protect you.
Kate: From what?
Ian: You didn't know it at the time, but I was being blackmailed.
Kate: [Scoffs] Blackmail. Please.
Ian: I was in a position to enact a hostile takeover. Do you remember that?
Kate: Yes.
Ian: There was another company circling the property. This particular person would have done anything to ruin me at all costs.
Kate: You are never intimidated by anyone.
Ian: Hmm, and this bastard was no different. I wouldn't have backed off so quickly except...he hired detectives to dig into your background.
Kate: Mine?
Ian: We both know what they would have uncovered.
Kate: [Sighs] Oh, my God, that was so long ago.
Ian: I couldn't allow your indiscretions to come to light. You'd come so far. You were on your way to becoming a successful businesswoman. I had t distance myself from you to save you. In order for it to look permanent, it had to be permanent.
Kate: Takeovers... last weeks, maybe months. You were away from me for years.
Ian: This particular person and I locked horns often. It was continual, it was a constant. I couldn't risk being near you. Not when he was still a threat to you.
Kate: So what's changed?
Ian: He's been handled. Nothing could keep us apt now, Kate.
Kate: What about your wife? What about Madison?
Ian: She's my wife in name only. I love...you. I've always loved you.
Daniel: Celeste? Hope you're not still waiting for Lexie.
Celeste: No. Abraham took Alexandra home.
Daniel: I'm sorry we didn't get the results we'd hoped for.
Celeste: I'm sorry, but I'm not surprised.
Daniel: Yeah? The cards, they, uh, tell you that?
Celeste: You don't have to hide your skepticism, doctor. The cards are never wrong. They warned me...something was coming. Something terrible.
Abe: Well, the sitter said she just put Theo down a few minutes ago.
Lexie: [Sighs]
Abe: You want me to get him up, let him know we're here?
Lexie: No, I'm not ready to face him yet.
Abe: Sweetheart, is there anything I can do?
Lexie: [Sighs and sniffles] Ohh, babe. [Sighs] This is all I need. The best medicine in the world.
Abe: And I didn't even have to go to medical school.
Lexie: [Laughs]
Abe: We're gonna get through this.
Lexie: I know. I know.
Ian: I’m sorry.
Kate: That you chose to protect me?
Ian: No. That had to push you away in order to do so. That I had to hurt you without giving you an explanation.
Kate: I got over it.
Ian: I didn't. I'll never forget watching you walk away. The way that I'd given up the best thing that had ever happened to me. Knowing that I'd never have you back.
Kate: Never is a long time. And...and my experience is something that's subject to change
Stefano: What took you so long to come to the door?
John: [Sighs] Ahem.
Hope: Well... ahem. We were not... exactly expecting company.
John: I thought we agreed that...we would contact you.
Stefano: You're not in charge here--I am. So give me an update on the search.
Hope: For your precious egg?
Stefano: Don't get cute with me, my little Principessa, all right? 'Cause my temper is really getting very short. What is that? What are you doing with this? What the hell is going on here? What the hell is going on here?
