Melanie: Slow down. Abigail. Abigail. Are we not getting something to eat?

Abigail: I thought that he would be here. He's always here. I should just go check the hotel.

Melanie: I'm sorry--are you looking for Austin?

Abigail: Of course I'm looking for Austin.

Melanie: Are you nuts?

Abigail: Can you stop talking to me like that, please? You're supposed to be my friend.

Melanie: I am your friend. I'm your friend that let you trick me into going to some lodge so you could stalk a married man.

Abigail: I wasn't stalking him.

Melanie: I'm also that same friend that didn't get a bathroom break when you gunned it back down from that lodge after you told his wife you slept with him.

Abigail: Will you--will you stop it and give me a break, please?

Melanie: You need to leave them alone, Abby. You need to let them work this out.

Abigail: Work this out?

Melanie: Yes.

Abigail: Have you not heard anything I said to you on the way here? Their marriage is probably already over. Carrie was furious when she found out about Austin and me.

Melanie: And you're okay with that?

Abigail: No, I'm not okay with it. I didn't mean for her to find out this way--I didn't. But it's better now. It's--it's better this way.

Melanie: Better for who?

Abigail: Everyone. It's better for everyone. Now, I have listened to you, but I need to go find Austin now.

Melanie: Abigail, no! This is your fault. You're the last person Austin is going to want to see.

Austin: [Sighs] Carrie. Carrie. Please listen to me. I am so sorry. I love you so much. I hate myself for what I did. It's the worst mistake that I've ever made in my life. And I mean, I was drunk off my ass... or I never would've cheated on you. Carrie--

Billie: You dog. Wait--I take that back. I like dogs.

Austin: What are you doing here?

Carrie: Oh, God. Oh. God, why? [Crying]

Rafe: You look like hell.

Carrie: Thanks a lot.

Rafe: You want to tell me what's wrong? Hey, weren't you supposed to be skiing?

Carrie: Yep. We--we went. We, uh... I, uh, found out... I found out that... oh, Rafe.

John: [Straining] Damn it. There we go. Get some light?

Hope: See the file?

John: What the hell?

Hope: Passports are probably with it.

John: Wait a minute.

Stefano: Hello. [Chuckling] What a surprise. Looking for something?

John: You are such a bastard.

Stefano: Oh, please, okay. Huh? You don't want me to pull out that stupid little gun again, huh?

Hope: You'll have to take us both out. Think you can still do that?

Stefano: If I cannot do it, the gentlemen that I have waiting outside in the hallway-- they will take care of it and finish the job, all right? Why don't we try to be a little civilized about things here?

Hope: You know Bo's in critical condition. And I know you did this to him.

Stefano: It is my understanding that your husband--I mean, Bo, right?-- Was attacked by two thugs. Now, tell me something--if I wanted to hurt just a hair on his head, wouldn't I use a little more finesse?

Hope: Even if I got on a plane 15 minutes from now, it might--

Stefano: Things are dire, hmm?

John: Yeah, they're dire.

Stefano: Well, that's a shame. But, you know, two officers of the law like you should know better than to break and enter in a country like Alamainia. And of all things, you break into a government building-- how stupid that is. [Laughs] Oh, for goodness' sake. I am sorry about Bo. But the way things are going, I'm afraid that, uh, you're not gonna be able to get a flight to be by his side.

Abigail: You are wrong about Austin.

Melanie: Abigail... [Groans in frustration] When Carrie left, Austin jumped in a car and drove after her, okay? He didn't hang out to talk to you. He's probably begging for her forgiveness right now.

Abigail: When Philip cheated on you, did you forgive him?

Melanie: That is not the same thing.

Abigail: I don't see how it's any different, Melanie.

Melanie: I cannot believe we're having this conversation.

Abigail: Why? Why? Because I'm actually fighting for the man that I love?

Melanie: Then you're gonna have to fight really, really hard. Do you remember him pushing you out of the way to get after Carrie?

Abigail: That's different. That is because he felt guilty. But soon--soon, when his marriage is over, he won't have anything to feel guilty about anymore.

Austin: Mwah, mwah, mwah. My sister. Oh, my God. It's so good to see you. Mwah. What are you doing back in Salem, Billie? And more importantly, what the hell are you doing in our bed?

Billie: I get it.

Austin: You get what?

Billie: I get it. You knew it was me in here, and you were just pretending I was Carrie, saying all that garbage. Right?

Austin: [Groans]

Billie: Tell me I'm right. That was just a silly, little, stupid joke, right? Oh, my God.

Austin: You know, you still haven't told me what you're doing here.

Billie: Oh, nice try. You're not gonna get out of it that easily.

Carrie: [Sobbing]

Rafe: Carrie, Carrie. I've never seen you look this down. What's going on?

Carrie: Oh, God. I'm sorry I was hanging on you and sobbing.

Rafe: Ca--Carrie.

Carrie: Ugh, you know what? Uh, why don't you just go? I just came here--I came here to think and be alone, so...

Rafe: Go? And leave you here alone? Yeah, forget it.

Carrie: Yeah, okay, I can't keep it from you. You're a part of it.

Rafe: W-what is going on?

Carrie: [Sighs deeply] I'll tell you everything.

Austin: I screwed up, Billie, and I have no idea what to do. [Exhales deeply]

Billie: You want some coffee, something to eat?

Austin: Mwah. No, no, I'm good.

Billie: Okay, tell me what happened.

Austin: All right... Carrie and I--we went away for a trip to a ski lodge.

Billie: Okay.

Austin: And it wasn't just any ski lodge. It was the Green Mountain Lodge. You remember--the first place that we were together?

Billie: And what's bad about that?

Austin: What's bad about that is we went because things haven’t been, um... a little rocky since we've been back in Salem.

Billie: Well, you didn't tell me that.

Austin: I know. It's just... it's just not the easiest stuff in the world to talk about, you know? After all these years of knowing what Carrie was thinking, I just... didn't anymore.

Billie: Well, that's tough.

Austin: Yeah, so that--that's it. We were trying to work it out. The whole trip turned into a complete catastrophe. Uh, Carrie took off this morning, and I've been trying to find her ever since.

Billie: And now that you've supposedly cheated on her, how-- and when did she find out?

Austin: Not supposedly. I did it.

Billie: [Sighs] Okay, you know what? You need to start from the beginning and tell me what happened.

Carrie: And then Abigail proudly told me the guy she was in love with, the one that I was giving her advice about--wise old me--was, in fact, my husband. Austin slept with her.

Rafe: You're kidding me. Oh...

Carrie: I wish I was.

Rafe: Abigail? Well, she's, like, 12.

Carrie: She's old enough to know what she's doing. Apparently she's had her eye on Austin for quite some time, and she got herself a job as his assistant, and... one thing lead to another, and...

Rafe: Oh, my--I can't believe this.

Carrie: It just feels--I've never been so humiliated in my whole life.

Rafe: N-no, listen, Carrie, you should not feel humiliated. He should. A professor sleeping with a student?

Carrie: Ugh. I feel like I was blindsided.

Rafe: Hey, you're sure about this, right? I mean...

Carrie: Yeah. He admitted it. You know what gets me the most is how he and Sami acted when they caught us kissing.

Rafe: Yeah, well, that shouldn't have happened. I was way out of line.

Carrie: So was I. But I mean, the nerve-- all that righteous indignation over a kiss, when they did things that were so much worse.

Abigail: You keep sticking up for Carrie, but the truth is, she stopped giving a damn about Austin the second that they moved back to Salem.

Melanie: You don't know that.

Abigail: She took a job defending John, when she knew that Austin was working with the FBI to make a case against him.

Melanie: So?

Abigail: So she was never around. She was always busy with Rafe Hernandez. He saw them kissing.

Melanie: I know that.

Abigail: So then stop acting like I'm a slut.

Melanie: You're not a slut.

Abigail: I never would've even had a chance with Austin if it wasn't for Carrie having this thing for Rafe. I mean, Melanie, Austin needed someone, and I was there for him.

Melanie: What happens when he wants to go back to his wife?

Abigail: He and I built something together--something good, something strong. And that just isn't gonna go away. We didn't mean for it to happen, but we--it--it did.

Melanie: Okay, I know you believe this. But I think you're just seeing what you want to see--

Abigail: No, no.

Melanie: Yes! Abigail... yes! Look, you and Austin would never have happened had he not had problems with his wife. I'm sorry. I've been here. I've done this.

Abigail: Done what?

Melanie: Make something out of nothing.

Abigail: That is not what I'm doing, Melanie.

Melanie: I believe you love him, okay? I do. That--that doesn't mean he loves you back.

Hope: EJ's the mayor. You got what you wanted. Why are you doing this to us?

Stefano: You are the ones that broke into a government building with just two pieces of gum and a cord, all right? So I heard that there was something going on, so I came here to investigate.

Hope: With several of your goons.

John: Because you're such a stickler for law and order.

Stefano: I think I like you better without a brain.

John: Oh, cut the crap, will you? You know, we wouldn't even be here if it weren't for you. You set this whole thing up, and I'm scratching my head why. Was it just to go after Bo?

Stefano: Oh, as I said, what happened to Bo is as much a surprise to me as it is to you.

Hope: Stefano, my husband needs me right now. If you have ever loved anyone in your life, please... please don't stop me from going to him.

[Siren approaching]

Stefano: I'm sorry... but I'm afraid it's too late.

Billie: Abigail? Jack and Jennifer's Abigail? She's a baby.

Austin: Come on, sis, she's in her early 20‘s.

Billie: You're old enough to be her father.

Austin: Would you please not make this any worse for me than it already is, huh?

Billie: How could it be any worse?

Austin: I don't know. I don't know. I mean, I just--what I can't believe is that I let it get so out of control, you know? I mean, Carrie and I got to the point where we couldn't even talk anymore without fighting, and then along comes... young Abigail, who develops this huge crush on me.

Billie: And you knew that.

Austin: I guess I did. When things got really bad with Carrie and me, I went out one night... I had way too much to drink... and I-I'm--I'm not saying that that excuses anything, but, you know... but now Abigail thinks she's in love with me, and, you know, she's so young, so...

Billie: Exactly. Somebody so young--they don't just think they're in love. They are in love... deliriously, over the top, incredibly in love. Oh, big brother, you blew it this time.

Abigail: Why are you talking to me like this?

Melanie: Because I'm your best friend, and I love you.

Abigail: You're not acting like you love me.

Melanie: Okay, um... friends don't let friends drive drunk. So friends also don't let friends do things they know are gonna hurt them.

Abigail: You're the one that's hurting me right now, not Austin.

Melanie: So Austin didn't hurt you when he said he was gonna take Carrie on a ski vacation... or when he ran out after Carrie after you said you slept with him?

Abigail: I already told you--

Melanie: Stop making excuses for Austin! I know you're hurting. I don't care if you won't admit it. I know you're hurting. But you need to stop now, because it's just gonna get worse.

Carrie: What are you thinking?

Rafe: [Chuckling] Just... here we are, claiming the moral high ground because we only kissed.

Carrie: At least we had some self-control.

Rafe: Mm, that doesn't make it right. Maybe Austin wouldn't have done what he did if we hadn't kissed.

Carrie: I'm not ready to let him off the hook yet, and I'm not ready to hear that it was my fault.

Rafe: No, no. That's not what I'm saying. It's just... well, I feel bad.

Carrie: Well, don't. You didn't make him climb into bed with another woman.

Rafe: Yeah. So, wait. What--what happened? Weren't you guys going away so you could spend time together and fix things and... what, and then Abigail just shows up? Oh. Uh, why?

Carrie: Maybe she was obsessed, maybe he invited her. I don't know--maybe he thought it would be cool to have his wife and his girlfriend at the same hotel.

Rafe: You don't really think that.

Carrie: I don't know what to believe. I never thought that he would sleep with someone else. I never thought that he would stand by and let me give her love advice when, in fact, it was him that she was talking about. I've been married to him for five years. I've been with him most of my adult life, and... I don't even know him anymore.

Rafe: Come here. It's okay. It's all right.

Austin: [Sighs] Billie, that's--that's why you came back to Salem. Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you tell me, sis?

Billie: No, actually, Bo was in the hospital already when I got back to Salem.

Austin: I can't believe this happened to him.

Billie: And--and what's worse is Hope's not here. She's out of town. She's out of the country, and she's having trouble getting back here, and she called the room, and I answered the phone.

Austin: Oh, boy.

Billie: And then he went into cardiac arrest, and I was on the phone with Hope, and the last thing she heard me say was that he was dying. And then our connection was lost, and I have not been able to get through to her to tell her that he's doing better.

Austin: Wow.

Billie: Yeah.

Austin: If Carrie was hurt, and--and I couldn't get to her, I think that I would go crazy. I'm not so sure she would feel the same if it was me.

Billie: Oh, come on, yes, she would. She's incredibly, incredibly hurt right now and furious. But come on, Austin, the love that you two have--it doesn't just go away... even if somebody does something unbelievably stupid.

Austin: Mm.

[Both chuckle]

Billie: I mean, it's not the first time, right? I mean, remember what happened with Mike? You forgave her.

Austin: Yeah, yeah. Took a while... years, actually.

Billie: Well, you're just gonna have to convince her now and make her believe that you're the same guy that she fell in love with.

Austin: I-I-I am. Billie, I was drunk-- I-I mean, drunk out of my mind. I don't even remember it. Doesn't really matter, does it? I mean, you know me, Billie. I'm not the kind of guy that would ever... sleep around. Now I guess I am.

Melanie: Abigail, do you understand what I'm saying?

Abigail: Mel, I know that you want to help me. But how can you if you won't even listen to what I have to say?

Melanie: What am I not hearing?

Abigail: That this is a really awful time for Austin right now. He's so upset about everything with Carrie, and he's probably not thrilled with me either right now.

Melanie: Okay, good--you get that.

Abigail: Yeah, I do. The way that--that she found out--

Melanie: From you.

Abigail: Yes. That wasn't great. But what kind of marriage is it if they can't be honest with each other? They have way too many problems to ever work things out, anyway. Trust me, he has told me all about it. So the way I see it, this is-- this is a chance for him and me.

Melanie: How?

Abigail: Because everything is... it's all out in the open now, and we can finally have a chance to see where we can go from here.

Melanie: Abigail, the only thing that's out in the open now is that you slept with a married man.

Abigail: He was in so much pain, Melanie.

Melanie: Did you think sleeping with him would make him feel better? 'Cause it didn't work. He doesn't look a whole lot better.

Carrie: Here we are in our office. We were gonna do so many great things together here. We had such big plans, but we-- we gave it all up because we thought we owed Sammy and Austin not to work together because of what we had done. Maybe, uh--maybe if we had known that she had slept with EJ or that my husband was doing one of his students, maybe we wouldn't have been so quick to make a change.

Rafe: [Scoffs] Yeah. Yeah.

Carrie: But we do know now. So what do they owe us? What do we get?

Stefano: All right, the authorities should be here any minute, and it is my understanding that the Alamainian police do not believe in innocent until proven guilty.

John: I'm sorry.

Hope: For what?

John: My instincts told me this whole thing could backfire, but all I could think about was getting you home to Bo.

Hope: Don't apologize, John. It's fine.

Stefano: Oh, my God. This is breaking my heart.

John: Oh, spare me.

Stefano: That's exactly what I am thinking of doing.

Hope: What does that mean?

Stefano: That means that I can direct my men to distract the police until I get you out of here. We better make it very fast.

John: Yeah, right into another trap.

Stefano: [Sighs] What is it going to be-- the devil that you know... or the one that you don't?

Rafe: I don't think seeing who can hurt who the most is a very good idea.

Carrie: So you're gonna take the high road again, huh?

Rafe: I've had more time to deal with what Sami did. This is brand-new for you.

Carrie: I don't see how time is gonna make much of a difference to me. I just found out that the man I was gonna spend the rest of my life with has just played me for a complete fool. I don't see how that hurt's gonna go away.

Rafe: Yeah. Yeah, I hear you, because when I think about what Sami did with EJ after everything that he has done to her... it makes me want to smash his head against the sidewalk.

Carrie: And what do you want to do to her?

Rafe: I try not to think about that.

Carrie: [Chuckles] How's that going for you?

Rafe: Eh, not very good. I just don't want to make my life any worse... than it already is.

Carrie: You worry about being a good person.

Rafe: So do you.

Carrie: I used to.

Rafe: What are you saying?

Carrie: On the drive over here, I just kept thinking about one thought, and I kept pushing it to the back of my brain, and something that you were bringing up earlier, how much of this is my fault--

Rafe: No, no, no, no, that's not what I said. I did not say that this is your fault, Carrie.

Carrie: Thanks. But if I'm totally honest with myself, really honest, I can't say that Austin is totally to blame.

Billie: So there's nothing you can do to fix it. You're just a bum, and there's nothing you can do.

Austin: Isn't that what you said?

Billie: I didn't say there was nothing you could do.

Austin: You know what kind of person Carrie is. I crossed a line with her that cannot be uncrossed.

Billie: No, I do know what kind of person Carrie is. She's the first person I met when I was in Salem. She was my roomie. She's my sister-in-law, for God sakes.

Austin: Yeah, I know. I know. I know.

Billie: Okay, so you're going through a bad time in your marriage, and this young, beautiful girl falls for you... hard, and you lost your mind for a little while.

Austin: And it wasn't even a little while. It was one night, sis-- it was one stupid night.

Billie: Well, you're not a serial cheater. You're a loving husband. And Carrie--she'll remember that, as soon as she's done hating your guts.

[Both laughing]

Austin: You really think so?

Billie: Well... I mean, it's gonna take a while. And then, you know, people are gonna find out about it. They're gonna avoid you like crazy. [Laughing] I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Austin: Thanks, sis. I'm really looking forward to that.

Billie: Look, giving up and losing hope--that's a waste of time. Come on. You messed up. Your marriage is a wreck. How are you gonna fix it?

Melanie: Abigail, I don't care how special it felt to you. Sleeping with Austin was wrong, and you know it.

Abigail: Austin had just seen Carrie kissing Rafe. He had been drinking. He was upset.

Melanie: Okay, so it was your job to keep your head on straight.

Abigail: Melanie, stop. I don't want to argue with you about this anymore.

Melanie: Okay. [Clears throat] All right, fine. So--so Austin leaves Carrie. Are you guys supposed to just have some great new beginning?

Abigail: Yeah. You have never seen us together.

Melanie: Okay, I've seen enough.

Abigail: Melanie... he's my soul mate. We are so good together, so right, and--and we both feel it. We didn't mean for it to happen this way, but it did.

Melanie: I don't think he felt it when he pushed you out of the way to go after Carrie.

Abigail: He was feeling guilty. He was confused and upset, okay? He'll get over it.

Melanie: So your dreams come true. He leaves Carrie. You guys get married. There's an old saying, Abby-- if you marry a married man who cheated on his wife, you married a married man who cheated on his wife.

Abigail: Maybe that was your story, Melanie, but it's not gonna be like that for us.

Melanie: How do you know?

Abigail: Because... one day he and I will finally be together, and everything's gonna be perfect. He'll--he'll teach, and I'll finish school, and we'll live in a cute little apartment somewhere, and all this bad stuff--all this bad stuff will be behind us, because we'll be able to love each other without feeling wrong for it. We can just be together, and then the first time that we make love, it will be amazing.

Melanie: Wait. What do you mean the first time you make love?

Abigail: That's not what I said.

Melanie: You never slept with him.

Abigail: I mean when we make love for the first time together, as a couple.

Melanie: No, no, no, no. You just got so wrapped up in your little fantasy that you finally told me the truth for once.

Abigail: No, Austin knows what happened.

Melanie: You said he'd been drinking. How much was he drinking? Wow. So you have Austin thinking this too. And now Carrie knows?

Abigail: You're twisting my words around--

Melanie: Stop lying to me!

Abigail: All right. Fine, all right. It didn't happen.

Melanie: What?

Abigail: It didn't happen.

Melanie: What did?

Abigail: [Sighs] We were kissing, and it was about to happen. But then he just--he--he passed out.

Melanie: And then?

Abigail: And then in the morning, I realized that he-- he didn't remember very much.

Melanie: So what did you do? Abigail, what did you do?

Abigail: He thought that we made love, and I-I didn't want to lose him, Melanie, so I just let him believe that we did.

Austin: So you really think I can fix this?

Billie: Well, I think you better try.

Austin: How? How? Unless Carrie gets amnesia and forgets what happened, how does she get over this?

Billie: Time has a way of healing. It really does, almost anything.

Austin: [Chuckles] Come on. Come on, sis. I mean, you heard me when I came in here and I thought you were Carrie. You know how lame that sounded? [Sighs]

Billie: Well, you said you only slept with Abigail once. It's not like you're a--it's not like you were having an affair with her.

Austin: Carrie and I had an argument, so what did I do? I went out, and I got loaded, and I slept with this beautiful, young girl who works for me. Ready? I'm your husband. How do you get past it?

Billie: Well, you think about all the good things, and what's right about the relationship.

Austin: I'm supposed to convince Carrie of how much I love her when what I did was the direct opposite of love. In fact, it took our love, and it shredded it.

Carrie: Don't get me wrong-- I'm still furious with Austin and hurt and confused. What he did was disgusting. But before this happened, we were--we were already having problems, and I know that's not news to you.

Rafe: Every couple has problems.

Carrie: He was the love of my life. Unfortunately, Sami felt the same way.

Rafe: Yeah, Sami told me about some of the things that she did.

Carrie: When we got married and we got past all--all that, I thought this was it. This is all I'm ever gonna need. Then I got older, and being married to Austin wasn't enough. Law school was something that I had always dreamed about, and I finally gave it a shot, and I started learning all these things about myself, and I started looking at Austin differently too. And I started wondering if the woman I had become was still wanting the same things as the girl who fell in love with him. And those thoughts--so disloyal. I never admitted them to anyone... not even to myself.

Rafe: Go on.

Carrie: But then we decided to move here, and I thought, "yeah, that's the answer--come back to Salem, and I'll fall in love with Austin all over again." But that's not what happened, and Austin cheated. But in my heart, I was already cheating on him.

Stefano: [Sighs] Why are you running? I told you that you are safe.

[Door closes]

Hope: You got us out of there--thank you.

Stefano: Very good.

Hope: Passports, please.

Stefano: So the two of you are tired of sharing quarters, huh? Ah, I see why.

John: Why don't you just give us our passports? We'll be out of here.

Stefano: Sorry. But, uh, I have to hold on to them for a little while longer.

John: She needs to get back to Salem.

Stefano: Don't worry about Bo, huh? He's doing fine, because, hey, Alexandra's a very good doctor.

Hope: He's okay? Bo's okay?

Stefano: Well, for now.

Hope: I need to get home to him.

Stefano: Look, hey, I did not rob those passports out of that building for nothing, you know.

John: So what do you want?

Stefano: I got a job for you to do.

John: What kind of job?

Stefano: When you need the information, you'll get all the information that you need.

Hope: That's it? That's all you're going to say?

Stefano: Hey, you're lucky you got that much.

John: If you think we're doing anything for you--

Stefano: Now, look, please, don't forget something, huh? You owe me.

Hope: We don't owe you. We don't owe you a damn thing. You set this whole thing up.

Stefano: You win some, you lose some.

Hope: Why? Why are you doing this to us?

Stefano: Because it's fun. Yes... I think that's it.

John: Stefano...

[Keys clatter]

John: I'll stay here and do whatever you want. Just let her go back to her husband.

Stefano: I'm sorry, but, uh, for this job, I need the both of you. And when the time comes, right, you will get all your instructions.

Hope: Aah! Gah! [Exhales deeply]

Billie: Listen, I know you feel like you've lost all hope and there's no putting it back together, but I don't want you to think that. And lucky for you, I'm not going anywhere.

Austin: Thanks, coach.

Billie: And I'm not giving up until you and Carrie are back together, period.

Austin: And you know what? That is the first piece of good news that I've heard in a long time. You know what else? I'm so happy to have my sister back.

[Both laughing]

Austin: [Sighs]

Melanie: So it doesn't bother you that Austin thinks he slept with you even though he didn't?

Abigail: Of course it bothers me.

Melanie: Okay, good.

Abigail: I didn't mean to say it. I wasn't thinking. I just heard it come out of my mouth, and then I didn't know how to get it back. But the longer this...

Melanie: Lie.

Abigail: Yeah, the longer this lie went on, I felt like it was...

Melanie: Real. Do you hear yourself? Austin and Carrie are in so much trouble because of something he didn't do.

Abigail: Melanie, I keep telling you that they don't belong together. She totally took him for granted, and--and when things got bad between them, she went to somebody else. So, yes, yes, it was a lie, and I took a huge risk. You're right--I lied. But you know what? That lie could've gotten him out of something that has gone completely wrong.

Melanie: Okay. You don't have a lot of experience lying. I-I do... a lot. So the thing about lies is they will always come back and bite you in the ass.

Abigail: So what am I supposed to do?

Melanie: You tell him... now.

Rafe: I'm not sure I should be hearing this.

Carrie: Please just let me try to get through it. Austin sensed that I was pulling away, and that's why he went off and did what he did with Abigail. He--he could feel what I was feeling, and it made him angry.

Rafe: Mm, and it justified him cheating with a student.

Carrie: He felt betrayed, and I understand why. I was falling in love with someone else. I was falling in love with you.
