Sami: Hey. Where are you two going?

Chloe: Why do you have to be such a bitch?

Philip: What the hell is going on here?

Chloe: She's trying to take my baby from me.

Philip: Is that true?

[Phone ringing]

EJ: Hello? Look, I don't know how you got this number, but you need to talk to my fiancé. She's making all the arrangements for the wedding. No problem. Thank you. Sorry.

Taylor: Oh, no problem.

Nicole: Hey, kid. You there? Oh, my--

Taylor: Ah!

Nicole: [Sigh]

Taylor: What? I--oh, God.

Nicole: Here, here.

Taylor: Look at what I just did.

Nicole: Yeah, that must've been some daydream, huh? You didn't even know I was here.

Rafe 2: Well, Allie was getting a little restless, so I was just gonna take her to the park.

Sami: [Gasp] That sounds like a great idea. You could show Rafe the new swing set.

Allie: But I don't wanna go to the park with him.

Stefano: I'm a man of my word, Rafael. You give me no choice but to deliver on my promise. So... the young Allie will be taken away from Samantha. She will be put with a family that is very far away from here. And they will raise her as their own.

Brady: No, no, no. You do not send a copy of the contract to him. You tell him that my grandfather is enjoying a much-deserved retirement. I run Titan now.

Vivian: [Squeals] Did I hear correctly?

Brady: Probably. You're the best eavesdropper around.

Vivian: You've taken over Titan? You've ousted Victor? Oh, this is glorious!

Maggie: Guess who's here.

Victor: Maggie.

Maggie: I brought you a friend. Parker. Do you remember your grandfather? He's kind of a curmudgeon, and he'll try to run your life, but... but he's a good guy to have in the trenches with you.

Victor: [Chuckles] He's looking more and more like Philip.

Maggie: I think he looks like you.

Victor: Are you trying to cheer me up?

Maggie: Is it working?

Victor: I don't need any cheering up. I was just sitting here, reading a book, enjoying myself.

Maggie: Mm. Let's see here. Ooh. The last days of Socrates, uh-huh. [Clears throat] Not exactly a beach book. [Chuckles]

Victor: She thinks she has me all figured out. But you know what I think? I think somebody else needs the cheering up, and I think it's her. [Chuckles]

EJ: Okay, stop being ridiculous. This is just some girl. You're never going to see her again. Forget about it, all right? [Clears throat]

Sami: Hey, sweetheart, you know, Johnny actually had something he wanted to show you. Why don't you go check it out?

Rafe 2: She must not wanna leave, she wants to stay here with her brother.

Sami: That's probably it.

Rafe 2: Yeah. I just thought, you know, get her out of the house, take her to the park, let her be a kid, you know?

Sami: You're absolutely right. It's a good idea.

Rafe 2: But the problem is she doesn't wanna go, so.

Sami: Don't worry. I'll handle this.

Rafe 2: Thought you would.

Stefano: Goodness. How stupid do you think I am, Rafael, hm? You might as well get up, all right, because I did not buy it. Mm-mm. Oh. Ah, you're not faking it. Fine. I'll be happy to leave you here to face whatever fate has in store for you. [Chuckles]

Sami: I know you have done such a good job helping me ever since Johnny got sick. And I really, really, really, really, really appreciate it, sweetheart. But you know what I was thinking? I was thinking there's a way you could really help me out a lot today. You know what that is? You could be a little girl instead of mommy's helper. And you can go to the park and have a great time. And play on the swings with Rafe and have some fun. And don't worry about anything, okay? And maybe Rafe will buy you an ice cream cone.

Rafe 2: Oh, yeah. Chocolate with chocolate sprinkles!

Sami: [Gasp]

Rafe 2: Your favorite kind, kid, come on.

Johnny: Mommy!

Sami: I'm gonna go check on Johnny. You have a wonderful time with Rafe, okay? And I'll see you later.

Maggie: So... why is it that I'm the one that needs cheering up?

Victor: I stopped by Chez Rouge last night and saw you sitting alone at a table.

Maggie: Please don't feel sorry for me.

Victor: As long as you don't feel sorry for me either.

Maggie: Deal. We've got a lot to be grateful for.

Victor: We do indeed.

Maggie: Victor, my bringing Parker over is my way of thanking you for leaving Chloe alone. She's really pretty fragile right now.

Victor: I didn't do it for her. I did it because you asked me to.

Chloe: I heard her on the phone. She was telling someone that I'm a horrible mother and that they should take Parker away from me.

Philip: Is that true?

Melanie: Why would I say something like that?

Chloe: I am not making this up, I heard you! You believe me, don't you?

Sami: You forgot your key again, huh?

Will: Yeah, sorry.

Sami: No problem.

Will: Did I wake up Johnny?

Sami: No, no. Actually, he's awake, and he's feeling great, and he would probably love some company.

[Phone ringing]

Will: Ah, sweet, I'm on it. Just gonna grab it.

Sami: Ah, it's your dad. Hey, Lucas. Oh, I'm sorry. You just missed Allie, she's not here. [Mouthing words] No, sorry, what was that? You've gotta be kidding.

EJ: Sorry. I know, I know, I'm late. Mwah.

Nicole: That's all right.

EJ: Where's your sister?

Nicole: Oh, well, she spilled coffee on her blouse, so she's in the ladies room cleaning up.

EJ: Ah.

[Phone ringing]

Nicole: Oh! Yvonne. You know, I didn't think wedding planners were supposed to be such pests.

EJ: You know, she called me earlier. I told her to talk to you.

Nicole: Oh. Thank you, pal.

[Phone ringing]

Nicole: Hello, Yvonne, what now?

EJ: Yes? What can I do for you?

Stefano: Elvis, I want you to come home as soon as possible. There is a problem with Hernandez.

Rafe 2: Oh, look at that. Look, right over there, there's the swings your mother was talking about. Knock yourself out. Go on, get moving. Listen to me. You don't leave the swings. I got my eye on you, all right? Go. Crimony. Yeah, it's me. I'm at the park with the kid. Come and get her.

Nicole: Yes, Yvonne, I promise. I will call Maggie and give her a final headcount by this afternoon. Girlfriend needs some medication, I mean it. You'd think we were Brad and Angelina. Something wrong?

EJ: I'm going to have to go.

Nicole: So... that means I won't see you until the wedding.

EJ: Sorry. And I'm sorry I don't get to meet your sister.

Nicole: Ah, don't worry about it.

Kate: Hello, Victor. Oh, look! Little Parker, oh, my gosh! Victor, isn't he the most beautiful baby in the world? Oh.

Victor: You know, Maggie is in the room too, Kate.

Kate: Hi, Maggie. I don't know, every time I see Parker, everyone else just seems to disappear. Yes.

Maggie: Right. [Laughing] Well, I'm sorry but I need to get going.

Kate: Maggie, why don't you leave Parker here? We'll take good care of him.

Maggie: Chloe left me in charge of Parker.

Kate: Oh, he'll be fine. After all, we are his grandparents.

Victor: So what are you doing here, Kate? Did Stefano kick you out again already?

Kate: Well, actually I came here to try to talk to you about something. But I can see now that it's a waste of time.

Philip: Chloe... I don't know what you thought you heard, but I do know that Melanie would never try and take Parker away from you.

Chloe: "What I thought I heard?" What does that mean?

Philip: Come on. Come on, you know what you told me this morning.

Chloe: You told her?

Philip: I have to look out for the baby.

Chloe: That's looking out for the baby?

Philip: You left him alone and there were cookies burn--

Chloe: He was sleeping and I went to go get his medicine!

Philip: But if you hadn't come back in time--

Chloe: I forgot about the cookies! I thought I could count on you. I thought I could trust you.

Sami: Well, I have to think about it, Lucas. I know, I know. I promise. Yes, okay. Well, I'll call you back in a little bit, okay? All right.

Will: I'm not going to Hong Kong.

Sami: Your dad misses you and Allie.

Will: If he wants to see us he can earn his living here in the States.

Sami: All right, well, obviously he knows he's not gonna win that argument and get you to Hong Kong, so he just bought a ticket for Allie, for tonight.

Will: Are you kidding me? He expects a child to make a trip like that by herself with no notice?

Sami: No, no. He figured that out, too. He actually hired Doreen. You know, that babysitter that Allie loves so much. And she's gonna fly with Allie all the way there, and then he'll take care of her from there.

Will: Where is this coming from?

Sami: I'll give you one guess. Kate.

Will: Wow, what did she do now?

Sami: Well, from what he said, I can just imagine that Kate is filling his head with stories about how Johnny's getting all this attention right now, and Allie probably feels left out.

Will: So what are you gonna do?

Sami: I don't know. I mean, I don't wanna keep Allie from her dad. But I mean, does the idea of her getting on a plane and going halfway around the world... tonight? That's crazy!

Rafe 2: Hey, where the hell are you? No, I'm over here by the swings. All right, I'll be right over. Hey, listen, listen. Now don't forget, you don't just snatch the kid, okay? You approach me, you demand that I turn her over. Then I'll throw a punch at you, and then you pretend to take me out, okay? That's when you grab her, right. All right, now don't screw this up. I'm counting on you, I'm really sick of this brat. Okay. Allie! Yo, come on, let's go! It's time to go. Come on. Let's go. Come on, time to go.

Victor: Well, if it's a waste of time for you to be here, how about you leave?

Kate: My bottom line is, my grandson will not be raised by a whore. Maggie Horton may be able to march you around, but she won't be doing the same to me.

[Phone ringing]

Kate: What?

Melanie: Is something wrong?

Kate: Why are you calling? Did Chloe do something else?

Melanie: Uh, I didn't realize it at the time... but when you and I were talking, Chloe heard.

Kate: [Sigh] Are you kidding me?

Melanie: It gets worse. Um, right as I was telling you that it's dangerous for Parker to live with her, she called me a bitch, and then Philip showed up.

Kate: So what did she do?

Melanie: Well, she took off. Oh...she headed straight to the drugstore to fill her prescription for anti-depressants.

Kate: Anti-depressants? Oh. Oh, that is so perfect. Now I know exactly how to handle this situation.

Taylor: Sorry I didn't get to meet EJ.

Nicole: Well, you will get to see him in all his glory tomorrow. And I have to say, the man looks mighty handsome in a tux.

Taylor: [Giggles]

Chloe: Nicole, hey. I'm glad I found you.

Nicole: Wow, this is perfect timing for you to meet my sister. This is my best friend, Chloe.

Taylor: Nice to meet you.

Chloe: Hi.

Nicole: She has the cutest little baby. Where's Parker?

Chloe: Uh, he's with Maggie. Look, something happened. It's really bad, and I need to talk to you alone.

Will: Hey, Chad.

Chad: Hey, will. How's it going?

Will: Uh, good. You wanna hang out?

Chad: Sure. But I didn't come here to see you. Dude! I heard you were home from the hospital. How you doing, buddy?

Johnny: Good.

Chad: Doing good? Give me a high five, all right. Ow!

Rafe 2: What's that?

Allie: Please, Stacy's here. She's in my class.

Rafe 2: Oh, Stacy. Yeah, too bad. Come on, let's go. We're leaving, come on. Kid, do not make me pull you--

Sami: Hey, hey, is there a problem?

Rafe 2: No.

Brady: Vivian, when I took you off that island, that was going to be my last interaction with you, okay? My family and Titan industries are none of your business.

Vivian: I can't even thank you?

Brady: For what?

Vivian: Doing my work for me. Victor thought he was Titan. And now his grandson has taken that away from him. You've destroyed him in a way I never could have. Well done!

Philip: [Clears throat]

Vivian: Philip.

Philip: Yeah, I heard you were back. Have you seen Chloe down here?

Brady: Chloe, no, I have not.

Vivian: Why are you even talking to him?

Philip: Why shouldn't I talk to him?

Vivian: He doesn't know?

Philip: What don't I know?

Brady: You let me tell him, all right?

Philip: Tell me what?

Vivian: Brady has taken over Titan. And now he is the boss of you.

Chloe: Listen, Nicole, I can't be your maid of honor.

Nicole: What? Why?

Chloe: The last few days have just been hell, and I just-- if I came to the wedding, I'd be a big downer.

Nicole: Tell me the truth. Is it because I'm marrying EJ?

Chloe: No, no, no. It has to do with me, okay? I can't deal with it, and I can't take pictures and stuff, all right? I'm sorry.

Nicole: Well...

Taylor: Is she all right?

Nicole: I don't know. But I can't worry about that today, I'm planning a wedding. [Chuckles]

Philip: She's nuts.

Brady: Yeah, she is. But she's also right.

Philip: You mean you...?

Brady: Control Titan, yeah.

Philip: You mind telling me how that happened?

Brady: Grandfather told me to go back to the island to pick Vivian up. He also told me to have her sign some papers relinquishing her control of the company. I did exactly what he told me to do, except for one small thing. She didn't sign the company back over to Victor. She signed it over to--

Vivian: Brady.

Philip: Why?

Vivian: I don't know. Just didn't read the document. Signed whatever this sly, handsome devil told me to.

Philip: I don't believe this.

Vivian: If you'd gone that long without a flush toilet, darling, you'd sign anything.

Philip: I mean you! Why hasn't Father said anything to me about this?

Vivian: I don't know. I suppose he's embarrassed with the saber-swinging contest, and losing it to his grandson.

Brady: Vivian. It's time for you to go. Go.

Vivian: Ah, of course. You two have so much to talk about.

Philip: You proud of yourself?

Brady: Philip... don't worry about it. You're still gonna have your fancy office, you're gonna have your big, fat sal--

Philip: I don't give a damn about that! How could you do this to my father?

Chad: So how's it going, Johnny? What have you been up to?

Johnny: My daddy and Nicole are getting married tomorrow.

Chad: I know. That's great, huh?

Will: Johnny is not very happy with me because he wanted somebody to hang out with, and I told him that I would not be caught dead at the wedding.

Johnny: I know! You come!

Rafe 2: Uh, no, I just, um... I thought that we should go home, because it's really cold out here. You know, and then... she didn't wanna go.

Sami: Oh, okay.

Rafe 2: What are you doing here?

Sami: Oh, I'm here to find you, actually.

Rafe 2: Oh.

Sami: 'Cause your daddy called and he misses you so much that he wants you to go visit him. In fact, he wants you to leave tonight if you can believe it.

Rafe 2: Tonight? What's up with that?

Sami: I know. I know, that's what I said to him, but you know, it's Lucas. So I, of course, told your daddy that I couldn't make a decision without talking to you first.

Allie: Yes, I want my daddy.

Stefano: Our man's job is to keep Samantha believing that he is Rafael, hm? Not beating Rafael to a pulp, and you okayed that.

EJ: Oh. Do you care what happens to Rafe?

Stefano: You're the one that wants to keep him alive.

EJ: Because he can help us, Father. How's he doing anyway?

Stefano: I called out a doctor. He did not collapse because of the beating, all right? He has walking pneumonia, which can be easily handled with antibiotics.

EJ: So he's going to make a full recovery?

Stefano: Yes, but I don't want him to do it here. We have been taking too many chances.

EJ: Well, what are you suggesting?

Stefano: I suggest that we move onto the next stage of the plan.

Chloe: [Sigh]

[Knocking]

Chloe: Go away.

Kate: Hey, hey, hey, hey. I just wanna see Parker.

Chloe: He's out with Maggie.

Kate: Okay. You can't give me a few seconds so I can see how you're doing? Are you feeling better?

Chloe: I will be. Once I start taking these.

Kate: What are those?

Chloe: Anti-depressants.

Kate: Wow. So you're sure that they won't harm Parker, right? I mean, you're still nursing, though, aren't you?

Chloe: No, I'm not.

Kate: Ah.

Chloe: Besides Daniel would never prescribe anything that could possibly harm Parker.

Kate: But parker really isn't Daniel's priority anymore, is he? I mean, you aren't either. You don't think it's possible that Daniel would prescribe something just to get you out of his office?

Chloe: What are you trying to do?

Kate: Come on, we both know that you are not my favorite person.

Chloe: I'm really hurt.

Kate: But you are Parker's mother. And I would do anything I had to to make sure that you were in the best possible shape to give that little boy the best possible life.

Chloe: Don't you think I want that too?

Kate: Chloe, to be a good mother, you need to be happy, and healthy, and strong. And I don't see any of those things in you.

Johnny: If you come to my dad's wedding, I'll be your best friend.

Chad: [Chuckles] The kid's a DiMera, all right. He already knows how to negotiate. All right, I'll think about it.

Will: Okay. You better get ready for bed. But when Chad leaves I will come in and I will beat your ass at space galaxy, how about that?

Johnny: You said a bad word!

Will: Get outta here.

Chad: He did, I know.

Will: Get outta here. So are you really gonna go to the wedding?

Chad: Yeah, well... EJ asked me to be his best man. Yeah. Yeah, he gave me this whole big speech about the importance of family and what it means to him to have a brother.

Will: You know who it's really important for is Johnny. I mean, he needs someone in the family to have his back. So what do you say? Uncle Chad?

Chad: Hm?

Sami: Hold on a second, honey. Hey, um, I need to talk to Allie alone. You know, girl talk.

Rafe 2: Yeah, girl talk. I'll go get the car.

Sami: Okay. Hey, sweetie. Hey, look at me, okay. First of all, you know how much I love you. You know your daddy loves you too. He misses you so much. And he has a plan for you. So if you wanna go see him, it's okay with me. And he set it up so Doreen would go with you. So you don't have to be scared. She'll be with you the whole trip, and... it's a long trip, though, and he'd want you to stay there a while. Are you okay with that?

Allie: Yes, I want my daddy.

Sami: You seem sad. Is it because of what happened with Johnny? Then what is it, sweetheart? You know what I always say, you're my little angel, you can tell me anything, I'm your mommy.

Allie: Rafe was mean to me again.

EJ: Look, I want Rafe in the picture. Just until our man has been able to alienate Johnny and Sydney. Then he's gonna work on Samantha. You know, she'll divorce him like that. By which point I will be married to Nicole. Now Samantha will know that if anything happens to me, Nicole will inherit all of the legal rights to my children.

Stefano: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, you've got it all thought out. But in the meantime, Rafael has escaped once, hm? And he's on his way to recovery.

EJ: We need to watch him more closely, Father. Now listen, this has to come naturally. You can't rush it, you know? Otherwise Samantha will get suspicious.

Stefano: All right, I'll do it your way, for now.

Chloe: Look, I'm feeling a little bit beat up by life right now. But that doesn't mean I'm not gonna try to be the best possible mother to my son. I am gonna do everything I can to get better. And taking this medicine is part of that.

Kate: No, that's good. That's really good. Let me see. Oh, yeah. We did a piece on this in Hearth & Home. This drug blunts feelings of loss and sadness. You know, according to the article, you'll be feeling like a completely different woman.

Chloe: Did the article say that's a good thing?

Kate: Well... I'm sure it's meant to be. I mean, no one wants to be "beat up by life," right? I'm sure that's why Daniel prescribed this for you.

Chloe: What does that mean?

Kate: Well. I mean, if you're no longer feeling a connection to Daniel, if you're not feeling the pain of that loss, that would be good for everyone, wouldn't it?

Brady: You're really gonna stand up for Victor? May I remind you, Philip, that he married the woman that almost killed Melanie? Forget about that?

Philip: He also took you in when you came back to Salem. Gave you a good job. Put up with your boozing, he even let Nicole move in. And this is how you pay him back? You go to hell.

Sami: Well, Allie is almost completely ready to go. I can't believe we're actually gonna do this.

Rafe 2: [Chuckles] Yep. I know you're gonna miss her, but maybe this is a good thing.

Sami: I still can't believe that she says you're being mean to her.

Rafe 2: Yeah. She tell you about it?

Sami: Well, I mean, I asked her but she didn't really say much else. How do you explain to your five-year-old that it's mommy's fault that Rafe had a concussion and that concussion makes him irritable? Look, I know you feel terrible about it.

Rafe 2: I do. I do. And I'm sorry, okay?

Sami: I know. Hey, listen, you are amazing with those kids. You've done wonderful things for all of us for so long. And not every parent is perfect all the time. Not even me!

Rafe 2: Well.

Sami: Look, Allie's gonna go on this trip, she's gonna have a great time with Lucas, and she'll get away from everything that's happened with Johnny and with everything. And by the time she gets back, you'll be back to your old self.

Rafe 2: You really believe that?

Sami: Yeah. Yes, of course I do. I promise it's gonna be okay. And Allie will come home, and she'll forget that she was ever upset with you, and we'll finally be able to be the family that you always knew we could be.

Rafe 2: Absolutely.

Chloe: I wanna get over losing Daniel, but I don't wanna be a zombie.

Kate: Did I say you'd be a zombie?

Chloe: Well, you said the research said I wouldn't have any feelings at all.

Kate: Maybe it would be good to feel a little numbed, you know? I mean, do you really wanna be feeling all of those incredibly unhappy feelings?

Chloe: Unhappy feelings are a part of life. And I want my son to see me handle those without any drugs. You can't tell anyone you saw me do that.

Kate: Oh. No, I won't.

Chloe: I'm actually kinda glad we had this talk.

Kate: Well, if I helped you at all, I'm glad too.

Nicole: Yvonne, get a hold of yourself. All I have to do is call the bridal shop and tell them that the maid of honor is coming in for her fitting. It's just a different maid of honor. I'm hanging up now.

Taylor: [Giggles]

Nicole: It's all set. Thank you for being my maid of honor.

Taylor: Sure. But your friend is kind of va-voom, I just don't know if that dress--

Nicole: Don't worry, they'll work it out. [Chuckles]

Taylor: So will I get to meet EJ before the wedding?

Nicole: Mm, I don't think so. We've been married once before so we didn't think we needed a rehearsal. You know, I am gonna undo all of the mistakes I made before. This is the beginning of a whole new life for me.

Taylor: [Giggles]

Nicole: Cheers!

Taylor: Cheers.

[Doorbell rings]

EJ: Chad. Please. To what do I owe the pleasure?

Chad: Well, if it's not too late... I've decided I'm okay with being your best man.

EJ: No, it's not too late. May I ask what made you change your mind?

Chad: Well...it was Johnny. He wanted me to be there.

Rafe: Long time, no see.

Guy: How you feeling?

Rafe: Amazing.

Guy: The doctor was here.

Rafe: Was he?

Guy: Keeping you alive, Rafe. You try to break out of here again... we won't be so generous.

[Door closes]

Rafe: Too bad for you. Next time I break out of here, you're not gonna know about it.

Sami: You know what, I have to help Allie finish packing, okay?

Rafe 2: Okay, sure. [Growls]

Sami: [Giggles]

Rafe 2: Yeah. Well, I assume you know the thing with the kid didn't happen.

Stefano: What I do not know is why not.

Rafe 2: Because the kid's father wants to see her. In Hong Kong. She's leaving tonight.

Stefano: A narrow escape. One that Rafael does not have to know about.

Rafe 2: Yeah. Well, you know what, maybe it's a good thing. The kid was starting to be trouble.

Stefano: In what way?

Rafe 2: You know, she was telling her mother that I was being mean to her.

Stefano: Is Samantha suspicious?

Rafe 2: No. Not yet. But if she starts to be I'm just gonna have to shut her up. For good.
