Will: Please don't do what you're planning to do.

Arianna: I can't talk to you about this.

Will: Because you know that I'm right. Because you know that the person who was really responsible for what happened that night was EJ.

Arianna: No, he's--

Will: He wouldn't stop pushing, Arianna. He put my mother and your brother through hell.

Arianna: No, it doesn't matter.

Will: Yes, it absolutely matters. You're gonna let him win? Rafe and my mom could be happy. My brother and my sisters could have a real family. They could have parents who love them.

Arianna: No, just stop.

Will: And you're gonna destroy all that? Why? What--what kind of person are you?

EJ: Arianna?

Arianna: No, I can't--

EJ: Hey, Arianna, wait.

Will: Leave her. Stop.

[Tires screech]

EJ: Arianna!

Arianna: [Screams]

[Crash]

Anne: This is the woman you brought in for the paternity test, Dr. Jonas's fiancée. You said her name was Dana Scott. Her real name is Chloe Lane. You lied about that. To me and obviously to Dr. Jonas as well.

Carly: Sister, I can explain.

Anne: No. I don't think you can.

[Knock at door]

Stephanie: What do you want?

Melanie: Can I come in?

Stephanie: How about you answer my question?

Melanie: Okay, that's fair. Uh, look, I know I don't have any right asking you this, but I kind of need a favor.

Sami: So Will is with Arianna?

Rafe: Right now? Outside the pub?

Gabi: That's what Kinsey said.

Rafe: Well, how reliable is Kinsey? I thought you said she was weird.

Gabi: Okay, I asked her to keep an eye out, and she did. She knows that you and Ari had a fight and that you're looking for her.

Sami: How did Will find her?

Gabi: Okay, what is going on? Why are you guys tripping about Will being with Ari?

EJ: Ari! Call 911.

Will: Yeah. She just ran out in the street. Come on. Come on!

Rafe: This thing with Arianna keeps getting more and more complicated.

Gabi: In what way?

Rafe: I'll explain later. Right now, I need to get in touch with her.

Gabi: Okay, I guess I'll see you later then.

Rafe: Okay.

Both: Thank you.

Rafe: If she gives that recording to EJ...

Sami: I know. I'm calling Will right now. We have to stop Arianna before she says anything to EJ.

Bo: So why'd she run into the street?

Will: I don't know. Um... I was trying to talk to her and-- and she suddenly just shoved me away and took off. And this guy came. He barely had time to hit the brakes.

EJ: The guy just drove off. He hesitated for a second, he saw what he did, and then he just floored it. What kind of car?

Will: Um... I didn't really see. Black.

Bo: Was it a sedan, a pickup truck, large, small?

Will: Um, sedan. Kind of medium, I think. Four doors.

EJ: Hey. Hey, it's EJ. You're going to the hospital. Okay? You're gonna be fine.

Arianna: EJ. I need to tell you...

EJ: Shh. Look, just...

Arianna: No, I need to tell you.

EJ: It's okay. You can tell me in the hospital.

Arianna: No, nooo.

EJ: No, no, it's okay. Tell me in the hospital. Okay? You're gonna be fine. All right, shh, you're going to be fine.

Nathan: [Typing] Oh, Maxine, is Melanie scheduled today?

Maxine: No, not until tomorrow.

Nathan: All right, thank you.

Maxine: Mm-hmm.

Nathan: Okay, Mel, you want to ignore my phone calls? All I want to do is apologize to you. And you don't want to hear it. Fine. I'm done.

Stephanie: Okay. What's the favor?

Melanie: It looks good in here. You've, like, switched...

Stephanie: Melanie, I'm busy.

Melanie: Right. Um, okay. You know Chloe's secret, that she cheated on my dad with God knows who.

Stephanie: Yeah, God knows who.

Melanie: What matters here is that she cheated on my dad when they were engaged, and if he ever found out, it would just break his heart.

Stephanie: Okay, well, what's the favor? Are you gonna get to that part?

Melanie: Yeah. Just please never tell anybody.

Stephanie: Oh. Of course not. I'm not gonna say a word. The last thing I want to do is hurt Daniel or Chloe either. I mean, especially with the baby on the way.

Melanie: Right. And he is the father of the baby, by the way. She had a paternity test done. Another thing Chloe did behind his back. That's not important. What's important is that he is the father, and there are no doubts. What?

Stephanie: This was really hard for you, wasn't it? To come here and ask me for a favor.

Melanie: Kind of.

Stephanie: But you did it. And you did it for your father. And I think it's really sweet. What?

Melanie: I was just thinking maybe I was wrong about you.

EJ: Okay, you're gonna be fine. All right, this guy's gonna take you to the hospital. Okay, I'm right behind you.

Mike: Sir, please step back. I need to leave.

EJ: I'm right behind you, sweetheart, okay?

[Cell phone rings]

Will: Hello?

Sami: Will, I have been calling you. Are you still with Arianna?

Will: Um, Mom, Arianna got hit by a car.

Sami: What?

Will: She ran out in the street, and this guy came out of nowhere.

Sami: Um, um, hold on. I... I have to tell Rafe.

Rafe: What's going on? Did she already tell EJ?

Sami: Will says she was hit by a car.

Rafe: Will?

Will: Rafe. It was awful.

Rafe: What happened?

Will: She ran out in the street, and this guy was coming way too fast.

Rafe: How is she? Is she gonna be all right?

Will: I don't know. Um, they have her in the ambulance now. She's conscious, I think.

Rafe: University Hospital?

Will: Yeah, they're leaving now. Rafe, I am so sorry.

Carly: Sister, please just give me a few minutes to talk about this.

Anne: What is there to say, Dr. Manning? You lied to me. Deceived me. Lied to others.

Carly: I am so sorry, but I had a good reason.

Anne: Oh, really? You ordered a major medical test under false pretenses using a false name and identification number.

Carly: Please--

Anne: What you did was wrong on so many levels, I don't even know how to begin to describe it.

Carly: Could you just let me explain?

Anne: I don't care to hear it. Although I'm sure that Dr. Jonas will want to have a complete explanation.

Carly: Oh, no, Sister, please, you can't tell--you can't tell Daniel. I'm begging you. Please.

Anne: I'm sorry?

Carly: Look, just--just let me explain what was going on. Okay? Chloe, Daniel's fiancée and now his wife, she learned she was pregnant, and she was desperate to find out if the baby was Daniel's before she married him.

Anne: She was unfaithful to her fiancée.

Carly: It was a terrible mistake. It was a one-time thing, and she was manipulated by this vicious woman, who was actually out to hurt me. See, she made Chloe think that Daniel and I were... it's too complicated to explain right now, but the bottom line is that I couldn't live with the idea that Daniel and Chloe were going to be hurt because of me. So I agreed to help Chloe get the paternity test done in secret.

Anne: And you used St. Mary's hospital to do it.

Carly: I'm sorry I deceived you, I truly am. But in the end, it turned out to be Daniel's baby, and everything worked out for them. I'm begging you, understand why I did what I did and why it had to be done in secret. And, please, I am begging you, do not tell Daniel.

Anne: Oh, I see. Now you want me to join in your lies.

Stephanie: Wrong about what?

Melanie: Um, I wasn't... I wasn't really sure how you would react if I asked you to keep everything quiet. But you were nice about it.

Stephanie: Well, I told you, I didn't want to hurt your father or Chloe.

Melanie: I--you were nice to me about it. I mean--I mean, you could have told me to take a hike and then kept it quiet, or you could have just told anybody who would listen just to watch me suffer. God knows we've had our issues.

Stephanie: We do... have our issues. But what would be the point of torturing you? Or hurting Daniel and Chloe? Who must be really happy right now, by the way. What about you and Philip?

Melanie: We're good. You and Nathan?

Stephanie: Never been happier.

Melanie: Good. Good. I'm glad that you guys are happy, you and Nathan. He deserves to be with somebody that makes him happy. You obviously--and he's probably been going through a really hard time trying to keep this secret from everybody...

Nathan: [Sighs] Hey, you.

Stephanie: Hi.

Nathan: Hi.

Stephanie: Mm.

Nathan: Mm, God, you look beautiful. Uh... what are you doing here?

Mike: She lost consciousness on the way in. BP's 80 palp, pulse 120. Severe chest trauma with respiratory distress. Best I could tell, Doc, the left lung's collapsed.

Walters: Okay, thanks, we're on it, Mike. Maxine, type and cross for four units.

Rafe: Oh, my God.

Walters: Get a trauma panel.

Lexie: This is Dr. Carver. We need an O.R. stat.

Walters: Hang another IV, and make sure X-ray's waiting when we get her upstairs.

Maxine: You got it.

Rafe: Oh, my God, Ari--Lexie, please, what's going on?

Lexie: Rafe, Rafe, she just got here. We don't know the extent of her injuries yet. As soon as we know, we'll let you know, okay? Come on, people, let's go. Let's go.

Rafe: Ari. Ari, it's gonna be all right.

Anne: Why in the world would you think I would help you cover this up? What you did was not only unethical, it was immoral, not to mention illegal. I am not going to allow that.

Carly: Please tell me you're not gonna take legal action.

Anne: Dr. Manning, I am so upset right now, I have no idea what I'm going to do.

Carly: Everything I did, I did for Chloe.

Anne: I'm sure that you thought that somehow justified it. And I do respect you, Dr. Manning. I mean, everyone at St. Mary's is very grateful for all the work you've done over there to help the poor.

Carly: Please accept my apology then.

Anne: But you've put our hospital in a terrible position. I need time to think.

Carly: No, you do. I just hope that, as you're thinking this over, you'll think about all the people who are involved.

Anne: Well, that will be a part of it, of course.

Carly: Forget about me. Think about Chloe and Daniel. They just got married. Daniel knows nothing about this. And think of that sweet, innocent, little baby. You would never want to do anything to hurt an innocent child, right?

Nathan: All right, how long has she been here?

Stephanie: Don't worry. We were just talking. No blood; furniture's still intact.

Nathan: [Laughs] Maybe you should quit while you're ahead.

Melanie: Actually, I was kind of hoping I could talk to you too.

Nathan: Yeah, see, Stephanie and I have plans, so... you ready?

Stephanie: You know what, I've got to-- I got to take care of this, and I can do this in the other room. Uh, take care, Melanie.

Melanie: Thanks. You too.

Nathan: All right, look, if you're here for a repeat of last time, I'm not in the mood. All right? Yes, I knew Chloe's secret. Yes, I didn't tell you. Yes, you're pissed off at me. I get all that, okay? But if you're here to rip me a new one--

Melanie: I'm not.

Nathan: Okay. You're not--what? What's on your mind?

Melanie: I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry.

Rafe: Every minute seems like an hour.

Will: I know.

Rafe: I wish I knew what the hell happened. You know why she ran out in the street like that?

[Footsteps]

Sami: Hey. Hey, so...

Rafe: Hey.

Sami: What'd the doctor say?

Rafe: I don't know. All I got was that there was chest trauma. She's in the operating room. I saw her come in before they took her upstairs. It looked really bad.

[Cell phone rings]

Rafe: This is Gabi. Give me a second. Hey. Glad you called back, kiddo. Um, listen, this is really important. I need you to come down to the hospital right away. It's your sister.

Sami: Okay. So why don't you tell me what happened.

Will: God, I feel so awful.

Sami: Why?

Will: Because I was trying to talk her out of telling EJ about what happened. But she wouldn't talk to me, and she wouldn't listen to me. And when I tried to stop her from leaving, she pushed me out of the way, and then she ran...

Sami: Into the street. Listen to me, it is not your fault.

Will: There was just the two of us. Who else is there to blame?

Sami: Look, if she didn't tell you, then you don't know the whole story. Remember how I called you to tell you I had screwed everything up?

Will: Yeah.

Sami: I had Arianna come over. I thought I could tell her, you know, everything that happened and that, if I explained to her why, she would understand, and she would be on our side. What I didn't know is that she was recording the entire conversation.

Will: What?

Sami: She planned to take that recording to EJ.

Will: Oh, my God. Do you think she got it to him?

Sami: Well, probably not. Otherwise, I'd be under arrest already.

Will: Okay, but she could have told him on the phone. She could have sent him a text.

Sami: Maybe.

Will: If she did, EJ's gonna be out for blood.

Sami: Yeah, dealing with EJ'll be a hell of a lot worse than the police.

Will: He was there, you know.

Sami: What? Where?

Will: When Arianna ran out into the street, EJ was just getting there.

Sami: And he didn't come here to the hospital?

Will: No, he did. Uncle Bo took him in the waiting room to get a statement.

EJ: Arianna's message just said to meet her at the pub. She said she had something she wanted to show me.

Bo: But you don't know what it was?

EJ: Nope. I just get there, and she's in the middle of some argument with Will. Then she ran off.

Bo: Any idea what this argument was about?

EJ: I'd ask him. I'm sure he'll give you a good answer. Or a quick lie. One of the two.

Anne: I see you're not above using my love of children to make your case.

Carly: Sister, I'm just trying to get you to see how many people's lives--

Anne: You've made your point, Dr. Manning. Please don't try my patience.

Carly: Of course. I'll be on my way.

Anne: Good-bye.

Carly: I-I can't apologize enough, Sister. I'm sorry.

Kayla: Sister Anne.

Anne: Oh, hi, Dr. Johnson.

Kayla: Hi. Uh, do you have a minute now? There's something I need to talk to you about.

Melanie: I was really mad at you. Okay, you find out my dad's fiancée's cheating on him, and you don't tell me anything?

Nathan: I thought you were sorry.

Melanie: I am. I shouldn't have gotten so angry. I shouldn't have said those things to you about you. And I really... I wasn't angry. I was hurt.

Nathan: Because I didn't tell you.

Melanie: Yeah. I mean, I figured if you cared about me, you wouldn't let me walk around being so clueless.

Nathan: Melanie, of course, I care about you. Look, I did this because I didn't want you to get hurt. And I called, and I called, and I called so I could explain this to you, but-- why didn't you pick up?

Melanie: That's why I'm here now. I get it. You were just trying to protect me, and I blamed you for it. And now here I am doing the same thing... keeping Chloe's secrets so that my dad doesn't get hurt.

Nathan: Right.

Melanie: You're not gonna tell anybody, are you?

Nathan: [Scoffs] No way.

Melanie: Okay.

Nathan: And, Melanie, hey. I'll never hurt you.

[Door opens]

[Door shuts]

Stephanie: Everything okay?

Sami: How dare you make unfounded accusations about my son. Why don't you save the facts for when you're testifying about what you did to my daughter?

EJ: Hey, that's our daughter!

Bo: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Take it easy.

Sami: Look, don't talk to my uncle like that, all right?

Bo: Put a lid on it. Thank you. Junior.

EJ: I think we deserve an explanation here. Why was William having an argument with Arianna that would cause her to run off into traffic?

Bo: We'll get to that. Right now, I need the facts about the hit and run.

EJ: Yeah, well, I've told you everything I know.

Bo: Then we're done. Will, I need to ask you a few questions about what happened--

Maxine: Excuse me, Dr. Carver called. They're bringing Arianna Hernandez down from surgery.

Sami: Let's go.

Rafe: All I know is that it was a hit and run. They got Ari here as fast as they could. Now word is she's out of the O.R. and on her way down.

Gabi: Why would she run out in the road like that?

Rafe: I don't know. I don't know. We're just gonna have to wait until someone can tell us what happened. Lex. How is she? Is she all right?

Lexie: The surgery was more complicated than we anticipated. But it went well. Arianna is in her room now recovering. She had several cracked ribs. One was broken. It punctured the lung and caused it to collapse. But we were able to repair it and reinflated the lung. Got it back to normal. So Dr. Walters and I are cautiously optimistic.

Rafe: Can we go in and see her?

EJ: Yeah, I'd like to see her too, please.

Bo: So would I, Lexie. I've got a hit and run to solve.

Lexie: Okay, look, I know you all have questions for her, but she's still sleeping right now, so I'll have to restrict it to family members only. If you'll follow me.

EJ: I suggest you put a police officer outside of her door, Commissioner.

Bo: Why?

EJ: To protect her from Samantha and Will.

Sami: You've got to be kidding.

EJ: Kidding? It would be very convenient for the two of you if she didn't recover from her injuries, and she wasn't able to show me the evidence that she has.

Bo: I am not here to listen to your theories. You two, follow me.

EJ: She will get better. And when she does, she's gonna tell me everything.

Lexie: She went through quite a trauma. She's very lucky.

Rafe: No, we're the lucky ones. Hey, Ari. Hey, it's me. Rafe. I'm here with Gabi.

Gabi: We were so worried, Ari.

Rafe: Lexie says you're doing okay now. Thank God. We love you. We love you so much.

Bo: Sami, you had a fight with Arianna not long before the accident.

Sami: Yeah.

Arianna: Know what, Sami, I think EJ is gonna know exactly what to do with this.

Sami: You know what I think? I think he's never gonna see it.

Arianna: [Gasps]

Sami: Give it to me!

Arianna: Get off!

Sami: Give it! Give it to me.

Arianna: Let go, bitch!

Sami: And you want to know what it was about. Look, it's personal. I'm marrying her brother. She's gonna be my sister-in-law. You know, that kind of thing.

Bo: Mm-hmm. Will, your argument with Arianna? It was about the fight she had with your mom?

Sami: All Will was trying to do--

Bo: Let him speak for himself. Will? Let's hear it.

Will: My mom told me about the fight, so when I saw Arianna, I-I couldn't let it go, so I asked her about it.

Bo: What'd you say exactly?

Will: I-I said--well, I stuck up for my mom. I warned Arianna to lay off, and she got upset, and then she just ran off.

Bo: When Arianna wakes up, I will interview her. She'll give me the same story? Uh-huh. I'm finished for now.

Sami: That was too close.

Will: Yeah. [Whispers]

Sami: Look, I'm sorry that you have to lie to Uncle Bo for me.

Will: I'll stick to that story, no matter what Arianna says. Thank God she's gonna be all right.

Sami: Yeah. I know. I mean, I wouldn't want anything to happen to Rafe's sister. But it is gonna be a few days before Bo can interview her. And let's just hope that no one finds that camera, you know, that has the confession of me saying that I shot EJ.

Perkins: Commissioner.

Bo: Oh, hey, Perkins. Um, any word on that hit-and-run vehicle or the driver?

Perkins: No, sir, but Detective Riggins just told me to bring the victim's purse down here and get it checked in.

Bo: Uh, head nurse should be back any time. Just give it to her, okay?

Perkins: Yes, sir.

Sami: That's Arianna's purse. She put the camera in it before she left my loft.

Will: And now the cops have it?

Bo: Heya, Lexie. How's she doing? Can I talk to her?

Lexie: Well, I'd say come back later, Bo, and much later.

EJ: Lexie, I'm sorry, excuse me, could I have a word with you, please?

Lexie: Sure.

Bo: Perkins?

Perkins: Yes, sir.

Bo: I need you to stay here. Call me if she wakes up. I want to go to the scene and check out some things.

Perkins: Yes, sir.

Bo: Sami, Will, if you have anything to add to your statements, give me a buzz.

Sami: Sure.

Will: Got it.

Bo: All right.

Sami: It's just your word against mine. No one will believe you.

Arianna: That's where you're wrong. The words, they're all yours.

Sami: What? What is that?

Arianna: This is proof, Sami. Proof that you shot EJ in your words. Face it. The truth is gonna come out.

Sami: I don't think anyone knows that camera's in her purse.

Will: Which means no one's seen the video.

Sami: What is she doing with it?

Will: I guess she's just putting it under the desk.

Sami: Look, if we could just get our hands on that camera, we're home free.

Will: Excuse me. Hi, I'm on the cross-country team at Salem High, and I think I must have pulled a muscle because it just hit me like a ton of bricks, and it's really bothering me now. Do you think maybe you could get me some ice or some aspirin?

Maxine: Oh, honey, you're not a patient here. I mean, I can't...

Will: Oh.

Maxine: Never mind. I'll get you an ice pack. Come on.

Will: Thank you. Okay.

Perkins: What are you doing with that?

Melanie: Yes. Yes, yes. Yes, um, we're-- thank you for lis-- [Laughs]

Stephanie: Are you sure everything's okay?

Nathan: Yeah. I just--I feel so bad for hurting her still. What kind of a jerk keeps a secret for somebody he barely knows and hurts a friend that should have been told? I mean, you probably don't even think much of me right now.

Stephanie: I think you are great. I totally understand why you didn't tell Melanie or anyone. I mean, it'd be one thing if Daniel wasn't the father, but he is. So everything's cool.

Kayla: Ah, yeah, we kind of didn't catch up with each other at the hospital earlier.

Anne: Yes, we were going to meet after I spoke to--I'm sorry.

Kayla: Are you all right? You seem upset.

Anne: Well, yes, I am. But I can't go into it. In fact, um, I can't really stay. Why don't you call my office tomorrow, and we'll reschedule? All right?

Kayla: Sure. No problem. I hope you feel better.

Anne: Thanks.

Kayla: Have a good night.

Anne: You too.

Kate: The test is done. The result is spit out by the software program. A lab technician, he types it in. Then the software shoots out an alert, and a technician checks it and sees that the wrong result was posted. So he changes it. So, one day, Daniel isn't the father, and then, the next day, he is. If that's what Sister Anne is furious about, then maybe Stephanie's right. Maybe Daniel isn't the father. But a hospital tech didn't change the results. Carly did.

Lexie: EJ, I told you. It's only family members right now.

EJ: Okay, but look. Seeing Arianna is about family. Look, she had some information that she wanted to give to me. Now I'm positive that that will tell me if it was Samantha or Will who shot me.

Lexie: What?

EJ: I need that information, Lexie. I need that information if I'm gonna be able to see my children again.

Lexie: Yeah, no, yeah, of course. I'll speak with Dr. Walters about clearing a visit for you.

EJ: Thank you.

Lexie: Uh...

EJ: When?

Lexie: Um, right now. Right now. I'm on my way out. Abe and I are taking Theo to the pumpkin patch in the park.

EJ: Oh. Great. It's Halloween. Another experience I'm missing with my children.

Lexie: I'm sorry, EJ.

EJ: It's okay. I'll get them back.

Rafe: What's the first thing you're gonna say when she answers?

Gabi: Oh, this is like an oral quiz at school. Okay, okay. Um, hi, Mom, listen, first thing you need to know is that Ari's gonna be fine.

Rafe: Good. Good. Now keep it vague about the surgery. Less is more, okay?

Gabi: I'll handle it.

Rafe: All right.

Gabi: See ya.

Sami: Look, I don't know what you heard.

Arianna: Oh, I overheard everything. I overheard you talking to will on the pier, saying how you were trying to murder the father of your children.

Rafe: And you haven't got a shred of proof.

Arianna: Whoa, I don't know what's worse here--the fact that she shot EJ or your lying your ass off to protect her.

Rafe: [Sighs] For a while there, I thought we were gonna lose you. We had that fight, and I was... I was just worried that I wasn't gonna... gonna get a chance to tell you how much I love you. You hang in there, okay? You're gonna make it through this. Somehow.

Sami: Um, I'm her sister-in-law. Well, not yet, but I am marrying her brother soon, so I thought I'd just hold on to it, you know, look out for it for her.

Maxine: That doesn't matter, Sami. The hospital is legally responsible for a patient's belongings in all emergency cases. We can't release it without her consent.

Sami: Oh. Who knew? Um, sorry. Of course. No problem.

Perkins: I hope everything got put back in there. Her stuff was scattered all over the place after the accident.

Carly: Hi.

Bo: Hey.

Carly: What's going on? Why is the road blocked off?

Bo: We had a hit and run earlier. Arianna Hernandez.

Carly: Oh, my God. Is she okay?

Bo: They think she's gonna make it, yeah.

Carly: Well, that's a relief. I mean, I've only met her a few times, but I know her brother Rafe. He's a good guy. Did they find the person responsible?

Bo: No. Not yet.

Carly: And you're really upset, but it's more than just Arianna.

Bo: Sami and Will are somehow involved in this. Sami had an argument with Arianna earlier today, and Will was standing here talking to her before she ran out into the street.

Carly: So?

Bo: They're covering for each other about something. I'm not sure what. What?

Carly: Nothing. I'm just reminded that sometimes you have to go outside the line for family.

Sami: Okay. Um, you stay here and see if you can have a look inside her purse. See if the camera is there. Don't take unnecessary risks. But if the opportunity presents itself.

Will: I'll try. Do you think maybe the camera was lost down by the pub?

Sami: Maybe. I mean, the officer said that her stuff was everywhere. So I'm gonna go down there and have a look. It's worth a shot, right? But, um, you stay here. Hey.

Rafe: Hey.

Sami: How's she doing? She--she waking up?

Rafe: No, not yet. She's starting to stir, though, so maybe. Maybe I'll be able to talk to her soon, you know. Let her know we're all pulling for her. You going somewhere?

Sami: Yeah, I'm--I'm gonna go to the pub because I want to check on the kids and make sure they're okay with my grandma. All right? I love you.

Rafe: You too.

Walters: Mr. Hernandez.

Rafe: Yeah?

Walters: Why don't we step inside the waiting room where we won't be interrupted.

Rafe: Okay. [Clears throat]

Walters: Listen, I don't-- I don't want to make it sound like nothing could possibly go wrong, because that's never true, especially during the first 24 hours after surgery.

Rafe: I hear you. Now you said she was probably gonna be in a lot of pain, right?

Walters: Yes. We used what's called a nerve block, so right now she can't feel anything in her chest, but when that wears off in an hour or two, the pain will be pretty intense.

Rafe: It actually seemed like she was starting to come around.

Walters: Yeah, she could wake up anytime now. But we need to make sure she stays quiet. Her condition isn't stable enough just yet.

EJ: Arianna. Hey. It's EJ. Can you hear me? Open your eyes. It's nice to see them again. You gave us quite a scare. How are you feeling? What's that?

Arianna: I... I have to tell you... something.

EJ: Okay. Okay.
