Arianna: Hey.

Brady: Hi.

Arianna: What are you doin'?

Brady: I'm, uh, good to go. I'm outta here.

Hope: Abe... I can't thank you enough. Increased patrols are really gonna help this case.

Abe: City council wants this guy stopped. The supplemental appropriations are just a given.

Hope: But you made it happen. And just so you know, I'm on it personally tonight. If they're out there, we'll get 'em.

Hope: Yeah. According to EJ, there's at least two, and one's probably a woman. Actually, come to think of it, the symbol that was inked on Brady's chest pretty much confirms the woman's the leader.

Nathan: All right, so what was it you were gonna tell me?

Melanie: It's about Stephanie.

Nathan: Okay. You know what, forget it. I already know what you're gonna say.

Victor: All right, come on, just sit you down right here. There you go. Okay?

Maggie: Okay. I'm okay, Victor. I--I'm fine.

Victor: Well, I'm going to call 911.

Calliope: It just doesn't sound like you--kidnapping a kid all by yourself. Who helped you? Who gave you the idea?

Victor: Maggie, if your illness is back...

Maggie: I'm...I'm fine, Victor. I'm fine now.

Maggie: I'm under a doctor's care. I-I just don't want... I don't want to be advertising it, that's all.

Calliope: Anna, I don't know why you would ever think that I would try to sell you out to the tabloids. Never! We're friends.

Sami: Will...I'm not doing anything, okay? EJ's shoulder...was hurt, and so I was just trying to massage it, trying to help him.

EJ: Look, William, your mother is not--

Will: Why did you really move in here, Mom? To be with the kids... or to be with him?

Hope: Maggie, if you can't, you can't. No, I completely understand. It's fine. We'll just plan for Ciara to spend the night with you some other time.

Maggie: Good. And the sooner the better, okay? Give her a big hug for me.

Abe: You lose your babysitter?

Hope: Yeah. Something came up with Maggie, so she can't do it. The trouble is my Dad and Julie are out of town, and Caroline is completely swamped at the pub with stuff.

Abe: Oh. You know, if Theo didn't have the chicken pox, we would be more than happy--

Hope: Oh, Abe, no worries. No, don't worry about it. I'll figure something out.

Abe: Who watches Ciara at Victor's place?

Hope: When I'm not there, it's the nanny. Oh, but I don't want the nanny sleeping in--not the way Ciara's been acting lately.

Abe: Hope, you know this case won't necessarily break tonight.

Hope: You're right. Besides, what choice do I have? I'll just have to assign someone else to the case.

Melanie: Nathan, how could you know what I'm gonna say?

Nathan: Well... I don't. I guess I-I just--

Melanie: You just...

Nathan: I just made a--an assumption--

Melanie: Oh. And what did you assume?

Nathan: That it still bothers you that Stephanie and I are together. But...I'm wrong. Its just my ego. I mean, how could anyone get over being with me?

Melanie: Well, you're right, it is your ego if you thought that that's what I wanted to talk to you about. 'Cause it's not.

Nathan: Of course not. So what--what did you want to tell me--

Melanie: Do you think that maybe you and Stephanie are going a little fast?

Nathan: Why is that any of your problem?

Melanie: Because you're my friend. I care about you, and I don't wanna see Stephanie hurt you.

Nathan: All right, how could Stephanie hurt me?

Calliope: Anna, that's ridiculous! I did not sell out to the cops!

Anna: Well, you sold out to somebody, and now you're gonna sell me out too.

Calliope: No way. No.

Anna: You know, I can drink these in my room. I don't have to stay here. In fact, I don't really have to stay here here...you know, like in this town or this whole country. So... unless you start telling me why you showed up in the same little out-of-the-way spot as me at the same time, I'm gone. So... what's it gonna be?

Calliope: You're right. It's not a coincidence.

Rafe: Oh, boy.

EJ: William, you're talking to your mother. A little more respect would be nice.

Sami: EJ, I need to--I need to talk to Will alone, please.

EJ: Of course.

Sami: Look, what's happening between EJ and me, I mean, it's not--

Sami: So you just wanna be angry? You don't want me to explain to you?

Will: I don't want to be lied to...again. So let's just save that. The only thing I really wanna know is... did you ever really love Rafe? Or do you just always have to have some guy around? Doesn't even matter who?

Melanie: Nathan, I'm not trying to stir up any trouble.

Nathan: Melanie, what are you trying to do then?

Melanie: I-- I don't think that Stephanie's looking for a nice and easygoing relationship. I think she wants to... jump into things.

Nathan: And she told you that?

Melanie: Not in so many words. I-- look, all I'm saying is you guys should just--you should just take it slower.

Stephanie: What are you guys talking about?

Stephanie: You told him, didn't you?

Brady: No. You are not gonna be my sidekick on this one, Ari. I may have to take some risks.

Arianna: Not alone.

Brady: I'm not gonna let you risk your life on something like this--forget about it.

Arianna: But it's okay for you to risk your life. You have to remember that the person who's behind all these muggings only goes after guys who are alone. So if I'm with you, you're safe.

Brady: Or maybe if you're with me, we'll both be in danger. The answer is no.

Arianna: Always the hero. Off on your own, slaying the dragon. Who are you playing hero for this time, Brady? Me or Nicole?

Charlie: So you're Dee Dee Wilson from Seattle?

Nicole: That's right. Jimmy said it was cool.

Charlie: You sure you wanna be around this crowd?

Nicole: [Chuckles] Are you kidding? I get my jollies winnin' in places like this.

Charlie: [Chuckles] Okay. Game's about to start. Come on in, meet the other players.

Calliope: You wanna know why I'm here?

Anna: Well, whatever it is, it better be good.

Calliope: It is very good. It is... the reason is... fate. Fate. Yeah.

Anna: Huh?

Calliope: Fate. You lost Tony... you kidnapped that kid, you held it for ransom. It's your own niece. I say this with love... but you really are a mess, Anna.

Calliope: Yes. You are. And...so am I. So am I. I'm a mess too. You see? You know, Euge really didn't go deep-sea fishing. That's a lie. It's not true, no. He...left me. Yeah. He did.

Rafe: Not bad.

Anna: Honey, I'm so sorry. Why would Eugene do that? Did he give you a reason?

Calliope: Yes, the reason is that... he wanted to run off with... a belly dancer!

Anna: No!

Calliope: Yes!

Rafe: All right, easy on the details.

Calliope: So I decided the hell with everyone. I'm gonna get on a plane. I'm gonna go as fast and as far away--wherever my miles could take me. And I didn't wanna run into anybody I knew, but you just happened to be here. And I was so happy, but--but I can see I should go. And I-I wish you the best, and I hope you have a good life, Anna. I really, really do.

Rafe: No, no, no, no, no. What the hell are you doing?

Stefano: What's wrong, Elvis?

EJ: Hmm? Oh. Nothing. Just, uh...

Stefano: Oh.

EJ: Nothing. I'm fine.

Stefano: Samantha, obviously. So...what happened?

EJ: We were doing fine. Everything was going well and then... young William showed up, had some kind of Oedipal reaction. Of course, I was the villain in his drama.

Stefano: Mm. Well, you leave William to me.

EJ: Really?

Stefano: Yes. I will handle the young man.

Will: Tell me one thing, please, the truth? Do you have feelings for EJ? Yes or no? Mom?

Sami: Yeah. Maybe I do.

Melanie: No, Stephanie, I didn't say anything--

Nathan: Apparently, Melanie doesn't want me to get hurt.

Stephanie: Oh. Th-That's all you said?

Melanie: That's all I said. I don't think Nathan is as serious as you are.

Stephanie: Well, I think that's something Nathan and I can discuss on our own...don't you think?

Nathan: Yeah.

[Cell phone rings]

Nathan: Hey, I get off in a few too. So I'll talk to you in a little bit.

Stephanie: Okay, sounds good. I gotta get back to records. Uh, call me.

Nathan: You got it.

Nathan: Thank you for your advice, but in the future, um, I don't want it, nor do I need it.

Arianna: Are you kidding? I go off to help my younger sister with her homework, and who shows up? Nicole. And what does she do? She makes it seem like the two of you got together when I was away.

Brady: Well, Ari, you know what, she was at the house.

Arianna: Oh, great.

Brady: And I kicked her out.

Arianna: Okay. Fantastic, you kicked her out. But you know what? When I saw her, her blouse was unbuttoned. What was I supposed to think?

Brady: When...when are you gonna believe me and not her?

Arianna: I know that you tell me that you don't have feelings for her, but... she like sets me up. Plays me like I'm a total ditz.

Brady: You...are not a ditz.

Arianna: Ohh...

Brady: And I love you... a lot. Will you please work with that? What is it?

Arianna: I need you to tell me that you don't have feelings for her anymore.

Nicole: Ahh... aces and ladies.

Charlie: Damn! How many times is that tonight?

Nicole: Enough to make a good girl proud. Thank you. Charlie.

Charlie: What?

Nicole: You're 200 light, remember? You weren't planning on giving me a marker, were you?

Charlie: That oughta be worth a couple of bills.

Brady: If you need money or if you need a loan--

Nicole: No, no, no, no, no. I don't want your handouts.

Anna: Oh, come on, Calliope. I'm sorry. I didn't know that Eugene had... done you dirt like that.

Calliope: He--he broke my heart.

Anna: Oh, honey, come on. Take a load off. Let's have another round.

Calliope: Yeah. But you know, really, when you were questioning me and doubting me and--and--I doubted you plenty, but you deserved it. I mean, that Anna that I knew never doubted me, and I miss that Anna. I love that Anna.

Anna: [Whispers] I know.

Sami: Will... EJ is Johnny and Sydney's father. He was so amazing...when Sydney was missing. He's the reason we got her back. How about the fact that he forgave me for lying to him about Sydney in the first place? Come on, will. He is not a guy you should hate.

Will: So...what are you saying, that you're in love with him again?

Sami: I'm grateful to him. But Will... gratitude is not the same thing as love. I'm not in love with him. Oh, my God, Will, I am not lying!

Will: Yes...you are, because every time you get bent all out of shape like that, you're not telling the truth. You...are...lying.

Hope: "So the frog hopped up on the rabbit's back and said, 'Come on, my friend. We've got places to go.' And away they went." That was a great story, wasn't-- I'm glad the stakeout didn't happen tonight. I'm right where I ought to be. Sweet dreams, honey.

Nicole: Oh, Charlie.

Charlie: Dee Dee. Babe, if you are looking for another card game, you can forget it. You wiped everybody out, so...

Nicole: Where'd this come from?

Charlie: Pfft. I figured it was the real thing. If it's not real gold, I-I can--

Nicole: No, it's real gold, all right. I wanna know where you got it.

Charlie: Look, just 'cause I played a game of cards with you doesn't mean I have to answer your damn questions.

Nicole: Charlie. [Ahem] This money clip is stolen property...which means you aided in a felony after the fact.

Charlie: What are you, a c-- oh, my God, you're that reporter. Okay, look, would you just-- shut that off! Look, I won that clip in a game from this guy. He went bust and--

Charlie: I don't know, and I don't care.

Nicole: Let me put it to you this way. Unless you want to see your face plastered all over the news for running an illegal gambling house and receiving stolen property... you'd better tell me how I can find this guy you won it from.

Melanie: Maggie, why didn't you call me?

Maggie: I-it came on all of a sudden. I mean, frankly, if victor hadn't been there... to catch me when I was going down, I don't-- come on, really. Absolutely, he was...he was absolutely wonderful.

Victor: Listen, all I did was drive you here. Nobody's gonna nominate me for sainthood.

Maggie: Well... I could have hit my head when I fell if you hadn't caught me. Frankly, I don't know what I would have done... if you hadn't been there.

Sami: When you love someone... and they call you a liar... it hurts.

Will: Well, when you love someone and she lies to you anytime she likes, that hurts too.

Sami: When you decided to leave... when you told me you were moving out... it broke my heart. But you know what? I followed you here...and I brought Johnny and Sydney with me... because you're my kids. And I'm never gonna give up on you. I'm not here 'cause I miss Rafe or because I'm in love with EJ. I'm here for you.

Will: So...Rafe is never coming back, right? W-Whatever. Just try... to remember, though... EJ is not the answer.

Stephanie: [Giggles]

Nathan: You want to hear a secret?

Stephanie: Sure.

Nathan: I'm crazy about you, and I want to spend every minute that I can with you.

Stephanie: We could arrange that.

Nathan: Yeah? The thing is, though, I'm far from being done with training. I have a lotta tough years ahead of me.

Stephanie: I know.

Nathan: 'Kay. So if we're gonna make this work, we need to take things slow.

Stephanie: Absolutely. Yeah.

Nathan: Mm-hmm.

Stephanie: Yeah. Nice and slow.

Melanie: Okay, so when it's time for you to go home, I want you to...let me drive you. Okay? I don't want you taking a cab or anything.

Maggie: Honey, I really am all right.

Melanie: Hmm?

Maggie: I'm all right.

Melanie: No, I know. I checked your chart. They just need to monitor your blood levels for...12 hours to make sure the medicine is working.

Maggie: Melanie, is something worrying you, bothering you?

Melanie: No. I'm just, um, I'm just swamped at work.

Melanie: You're probably gonna be mad at me.

Melanie: Okay. All right. Then I'll tell you I was with Nathan a little while ago, and I could have told him something that would have made him break up with Stephanie right then and there. But I didn't because it's his life and he should be able to make his own decisions.

Melanie: Just like I did when I chose Philip. I couldn't be happier.

Melanie: I did kinda, didn't I?

Baker: Yello? Yeah. What? You'll front me the money? Ha. Great. Of course I'm good for it. What are you talking about? Yeah, thanks. I'm on my way.

Anna: Well, you see Calliope, there's a problem. That Anna DiMera that you knew all those years ago... well, her husband died... and a part of her died right along with him. So that Anna DiMera is gone for good.

Calliope: No, no, no. That Anna DiMera is inside of you, and that's why I want to get you to unleash all of the stuff that you're holding onto. Tell me.

Anna: I didn't kidnap little Sydney all by my lonesome.

Rafe: Yes.

Calliope: I knew it. Tell me, tell me the name. What--who was the person?

Anna: Finally, finally, finally to be able to tell someone...else about what really went on.

Calliope: I'm so glad.

Anna: Somebody that... really cares about me.

EJ: Hey.

Sami: Oh, uh, I left my phone out by the pool. I just finally found it. So I'm...done. Gonna go to bed now. Good night.

EJ: You know you, um...you can't avoid me forever, Samantha.

Brady: Now...it's very late. I've decided I'm not gonna go hunt down the bastards that knocked my head in tonight. I'm gonna wait, and tonight I'm gonna concentrate on you.

Arianna: Okay. I'll concentrate on you.

Brady: Good.

Arianna: And I'm not gonna think about--

Brady: Don't even-- don't say her name. Tonight's just you and me.

Melanie: Victor? I'm really glad you were there for Maggie tonight.

Victor: Well, I'm glad I could help.

Melanie: You know, sometimes you're a really terrible person. You know... shacking up with Vivian no matter what your son tells you. But then sometimes you're as sweet as they come. Like tonight.

Victor: Well, I always make it a point to confuse people.

Melanie: [Giggles] You know, I gotta go get Maggie some water, so... if you wanna sit in there with her... I'm okay with that.

Maggie: Hello again.

Victor: I just had a very interesting conversation with Melanie.

Maggie: And?

Victor: Thank you.

Stephanie: Mmm. Is this what you call taking it slow?

Nathan: We can take it even slower at your place.

Stephanie: You have the best ideas.

Nathan: I know.

[Cell phone rings]

Stephanie: Oh...

Nathan: Hey, Marge. Yeah, what's up? Finally gave us consent, huh? Yeah, no, all right. I'll be right over there. All right, thanks. Bye. I am sorry.

Stephanie: No problem.

Nathan: But we will remeet in an hour at your place.

Stephanie: Okay. I'll be waiting.

Stephanie: He's so ready. He's...so into me. All he just needs is...a little push.

Calliope: I'm sorry, okay? How was I supposed to know she was gonna pass out?

Rafe: Yeah, well, when she wakes up, she's gonna have one hell of a hangover. Which means that she's gonna be vulnerable. So you're gonna need to get back over there and start working right away.

Calliope: I hate this. She's my friend, and she will never forgive me!

Rafe: The IRS is never gonna forgive you either, if we don't get the information that we need.

Calliope: I have to think about my husband first. Oh, gosh.

Rafe: That's right. You do. So you're gonna get back over there, you're gonna find out who Anna was workin' for and who hired her to take Sydney.

Calliope: Ohh...

EJ: Is this because of Will, Samantha, I mean the fact that he walked in on us, is--

Sami: Hey, he didn't walk in on anything.

EJ: No, he--he didn't. But he almost did.

Sami: [Exhales] What?

EJ: Samantha, Rafe isn't coming back. You know that, right?

Sami: Yeah. I know Rafe's not coming back. But that doesn't mean that something's gonna happen between you and me. EJ, we have kids together. That's it. There's nothing else between us.

EJ: Yes, there is.

Baker: Charlie, my man, thanks for staking me to this game, because I feel--

Chloe: Damn it, that bitch is poisoning him against me.

Hope: I don't hate your guts anymore.
